Let me put it this way: You don't hit level 2 until you get at least 10000 EXP to spend. Most boss monsters drop about 100 if they're at your level. Regular mobs are in the single digits. Farming the same monster also lowers the amount of exp you normally get, each kill giving you less and less until there's nothing at all. 10 is about the max before you're essentially killing the same enemy for nothing. And that's assuming you're not losing levels from dying, or you don't spend every waking hour on Deep Ground.

So....Level 3 at 13 years of age implies that you spent 40+ hours a day with the Green Team?

I'm sure there are guilds that help leveling up isn't there? It also mentioned that you could get EXP from the market, so could someone who's at a high enough level just trade 10000 EXP to a new character?

@Ryonara The Green Guild is focused on helping leveling up

From the front page: "but during your time with them they’ll be focused on accelerating your level gain as well as optimizing your build"

Remember, dying subtracts your EXP after level 3. If you don't have any equal to 1/4 of the amount your first lost when you died, you get blacked out for a day and you drop a level. It's totally possible to grind to level 9 within a year if that's all you try to do, but you're also gunna die. A lot. You'd either be cheating or really cowardly to avoid death for so long, and forcing people back to level 3 is one of the things Outlaws are most hated for. They'll gank you out in the wilds until you're too weak to fight back.

As for monster variety it's me taking the MMO formula of having stronger pallet swaps of monsters to it's painful extreme: You'll often face essentially the same monster, albeit stronger and with new tricks, but the NC System would still read them as the "same". So even if you'r whacking a level 1 bush or a level 9 bush, it's all the same to the system. The only other way you could try to farm EXP is through PvP, and even then you can only beat the same opponent so many times before they too yield no EXP.

@Lucius Cypher So with the NC system you get less EXP defeating the same monsters, but how does that stack with fighting a monster of higher levels? For example:

A level 1 has been fighting a lot of "bushes" and is now getting less EXP. Next a Level 3 "bush" appears and is defeated. The NC means there is less EXP, but the higher level of the "bush" should mean there is an EXP bonus. How does this work?

Shukuchi (Passive): increases max movement speed by 50% x current level.

Just to confirm, Lucius/Scarifar, but this means that Level 9 Shukuchi gives Static Flash 450% movement speed, right?

Level 3 Bush is stronger, but still a bush. If you wasted all your EXP fighting the level 1 bushes you won't get any for the level 3 bushes. It's a treacherous system.

I'll admit eventually it'll come to a point where even after you fight all the monsters in Deep Ground, you might not make it to even level 5. Most of the EXP you'll gain, and indeed what really ranks you in the world, is through PvP. However you'd want to do PvE to fill up empty levels as well as to gather equipment and weapons.

And if you intend to try to leech, you'd have to party up for that, and even then the EXP is divided amongst the party members based on damage ratios. So if you intend to have a level 9 warrior do 99% of the damage so the level one can get the 1%, he's only going to get the 1%, and it'll be counted towards his total NC kills. This sucks even harder if you lost level due to dying, since those kills still carry over even if you lose EXP, and will eventually force you into participating in PvP.

I think of it more like x4.5. So if, hypothetically, she has a base movement of 30 ft a round, that's 135 feet at level 9. About as fast as certain land based big cats.

@Unlucky0013

Your opponent's level x10. So a level 1 would yield 10 ep; not really worth it. Level 9 would yield 90 exp, which is almost Boss level. However if you kill an Outlaw, you add 5 to that 10, so a level 9 Outlaw would drop x15: 135 EXP. If you're a at most level 6 and take out a level 9 Outlaw, that bumps up the multiplayer to x18, making it 162, better then most at-level bosses. Good luck trying to find someone willing to die as an outlaw though, cause if they do they lose a level automatically.

And for the curios, yes you could tackle a boss three levels higher then you for 300 exp, since 100 is the average and the EXP multiplier caps at 3.

Uh, actually, thats plus 450% (so rather 165ft at lvl 9)

But that also means at lvl 3, she's already x2.5 faster than us other lvl 3.

not that i in particular care... >.>

Fucking confusing mathematics. I suppose in that case, she actually has a total movement speed of 195, base speed 30 feet, at level nine. So a lot of mobility.
