“Good, then we can all go together. It will really make my day, for I already missed the opening of the games... Kind of got lost on the way here after my train broke down and I tried to walk to here a few days ago.” Janna admitted with a nervous laugh.

“ Janna Faras is my name, pleasure to meet you.” She said, reaching an arm for the handshake, but the little girl interrupted them with a swift kick to the shin of the boy.” No one is ignoring you, your name is Angela right? Well Angela it's good to meet you too, here want some jelly beans?” Janna asked, showing the girl in the witch costume the paper bag of sweets.

“My name is Janna, Janna Faras. Pleasure to meet all of you.” She quickly introduced herself again to the newly arrived. It seems they were all one big group here.” Well, I kind of got lost and they proposed to go together to the stadium.” She said with a smile, she wasn't sure if these people were mages, they had the air of such around them, but one never could know for sure. Janna herself was a mage and she kept that fact quite well hidden most of the time. Her magic was dangerous and she preferred to not incite the law's wrath, by injuring someone without wanting.

Cody stumbled backwards before steadying himself as James started his explanation, Cody simply nodding in understanding. He tightened his grip on his sword as he watched the feet movement of James, quickly picking up on before attempting to deflect James oncoming attack, twirling his wrist slightly so to deflect the momentum away from him. He mightn't know how swords worked, but he had a rough understanding of physics and from what he learned by watching James technique he had managed to work out how to do some basics already. He had always been a quick learner.

Angela Arthur James Jessica
Angela's eyes lit up with glee as Janna offered her the jelly beans and nodded furiously for yes.
Her eagerness caused James to sigh as he turned around and put his hands behind his head. He was sure he wasn't the only one who had noticed she was a wizard or not, but he decided to keep quiet about it anyway. After all as long as they weren't found out they should be right.
"Nice to meet you Janna, I am Jessica. This is James." The girl in the dress introduced herself and the young man standing next to her as she did a slight courtesy towards Janna.
"Well if we're going, we should get going. We don't want to miss the beginning of the games." Arthur said now that his shin stopped hurting and started walking towards the Jessica and James, before turning to gesture to Angela and Janna to follow them.

James used the momentum from the deflected blade to bring his sword back around and attack from the left, forcing Cody to think fast.

Cody could only react quick enough to glance the blade away, but in the process lost his own as it cartwheeled away along the ground. Cody pointed two fingers towards the sword before bringing them back, as the red rune glowed and brought the sword back to him by sliding along the ground and into his hand, before he pointed the sword at James again.
"Had the sword enchanted to come back, along with other things." Cody remarked as he brought the sword upwards before angling it slightly to change its course from a right to left to a left to right attack.

Catching the blade on the first slice, James forces it down between them in a blade lock and then uses his shoulder to knock the novice swordsman off his balance, bringing his shield into the mix and catching Cody a glancing blow to the chest. "Telegraphing your moves and a poor center of balance would have had you decapitated if I'd wished to." Moving in again, James strikes with thrusts in a high-low pattern before spotting and opening and using it. Disarming Cody with a twist of his sword and a flick of his wrist, he puts the tip to Cody's throat. "Your balance needs work, as does your foot work and your blocks and parries, but you've got a solid bases to work on."

Cody watched as his sword flew from his grasp again, sighing as James brought the tip of his sword to his throat, causing Cody to raise his hands in defeat.
"Well you probably could, not really a fight." Cody replied with a shrug as he took in what James told him, as he signalled to his sword to come back once more and took a few steps back from James.
"Suppose the only way to get better is to keep at it?" Cody asked before gripping the sword once more in two hands.
He slowly slide forward before going in with full force thrust, then changing it to an upward slash. He might have no experience handling the blade, but if he had learned anything from reading books.....

Mayt took a relatively short shower once he had returned to his room, despite the amount of grime and dirt he had collected over the past few days. He was anxious to get the day underway, and at least get around to saying hello to every guild member whose name he knew. Granted, he doubted that would be a particularly time consuming task, it wouldn't hurt to meet a few more new members in his time here before he went off again. Likely to come back to at least a hundred more members of the guild, at least at the rate things were going. Getting dressed, Mayt glanced out the window to his hotel room into the courtyard of the building. That was... Odd. To say the least. Mayt couldn't recall any kind of hotel that he had ever seen before with a courtyard. Deciding to investigate, the S-Class maged got fully dressed and quickly descended the stairs to the ground floor.

Once level with the courtyard, he walked calmly out into it to observe the goings-on there. James and someone Mayt had yet to meet seemed to be sparring there, which looked like it could be interesting. He leaned against the wall next to the door and watched casually, listening as best he could given the distance. It was clear that James was a significantly better swordsman than his opponent, and Mayt had no doubt at all that James was a better swordsman than he as well, just Mayt had somehow pulled the right straws to get permission to flaunt himself as a powerful wizard. Taking a breath, he approached the two casually, not saying a word. He stood at a position where it would be quite clear he was observing the two working, but be far enough away that if a sword happened to go flying, somehow, he wouldn't have any trouble dodging it.

James side stepped the thrust and brought his sword down onto Cody's knocking it from his grasp again. "Never thrust until you're positive an opponent has no other options, at least not such a dedicated thrust." He waited until Cody had his blade again before bringing his shield up. "Alright, I want you to work on your blocks. Don't deflect the blade like you would a parry, just catch it and push it away. Simple enough?" Noticing another presence, he nods to Mayt and then turns back to Cody. "Staying long, Mayt?"

As the sword returned to Cody he nodded in understanding.
"Catch and push away." He repeated as he noticed that James knew the man who had walked onto the scene. Mayt was his name?
He felt the name was familiar, but decided that he should probably focus on trying to stop any attacks James sent his way. He gripped the sword tightly as he watched James blade.

Anya hummed happily walking out of an alleyway wiping blood off of her mouth with her arm after a nice 'meal'. When the person woke up they'd simply continue their life as normal wondering why they woke up in an alley, it was a good thing she still had magic or it'd be much harder to feed without killing someone.

She walked down the street humming, her scythe skidding along the ground ever so often as she walked. Her outfit as well as her weapon which was currently as tall as she was caused people to stare, she didn't really mind, after all people did it no matter where she went.

She stared up at the sky while she walked, her arms stretched behind her over her head. "Nice day toda-" She began talking to herself before walking directly into someone(Janna). She fell onto the ground with an 'oof!' landing directly on her butt. Her scythe clattered to the ground breaking free of it's makeshift holder.

She stood up rubbing her wound before clambering for her scythe after noticing the weight that was normally on her back wasn't, she then looked up at who she'd bumped into with an apologetic look, holding her scythe to the side. "Umm..Hi." Anya spoke nervously her face red from embarrasing herself. "I'm sorry, I should've been looking where I was going."

She then peered around the woman in front of her noticing more people had witnessed her mistake. Gee, over a hundred years in exsistance and I'm still clumsy. She thought to herself with a sigh. "My names Anya, could you maybe tell me where the stadium the games are held in? I'm a bit late..I hope I didn't miss anything good.." She asked, trying not to stay on the topic of her running into someone simply from not paying attention.

She waved to the other group of people who were apparently with her and greeted them too "My name's Anya, nice to meet you too." She said smiling, one of her fangs poking out from under her lip.

Adamine nodded to Damian acknowledging him briefly before turning back to Penny with interest shining in her bright blue eyes "Join the Phoenix Wing? Can I do that? I mean I don't have to like... Pass a bunch of tests and wait along time for an invitation that may or may not arrive?" Adamine smiled widely as she looked at Penny then at Damian unsure what rank he took in the guild. "But yeah, if I can just simply join Pheonix Wing then I'd love too, also I have fire magic, it's pretty simple" Adamine hoped her ever so simple magic wouldn't limit her from joining Phoenix Wing, not that she'd even come to Crocus to join a guild, she figured only special or certain mages got to join, she'd only come for the games but to join a guild would be her dream, she could further her powers.

Seeing the girl give those happy eyes and enthusiastic nods, brought a smile on Janna's face. She remembered herself when she was a little child and surely didn't remember having been smiling like that back then. Like that it was a good thing to see.” Take as much as you want, I bought way too many anyways.” She added, letting Angela takes as much as she wants.

“Nice to meet both of you.” Janna replied to the girl who displayed a lot of manners. The wanderer herself lacked a lot of those... she never really had anyone teach her or see people with great manners. She grew up as a thief after all, she did start learning proper etiquette now as she had worked now in a few different restaurants. That's why while she didn't do a courtesy towards the girl, she did give a very respectful nod.

“Well there should be at least a little bit more time till they sta.... ouch!” Janna was suddenly and rudely interrupted as someone clashed into her. The person who clashed seemed to be a girl... a very young one at that.' No wonder I didn't fall... she barely weights anything compared to me.' Janna thought, quickly shaking her head and reaching a hand to help the girl get up.

“Not a problem, I should be asking if you are okey. You are the one that took the blow, colliding into me.” The former thief smiled, noticing the scythe next to the girl.” Well we are heading towards the stadium right now, though I'm not exactly sure where is the right way... I'm bad with directions.” Janna admitted.

While the girl was speaking, the former thief noticed a certain detail... there was a fang poking out under the girls lip... This was strange, but it was not her problem to pry into personal lives of others.

Overly friendly? It seemed like Sasha was too embarrassed to elaborate. It seemed like Sasha was too embarrassed to talk very much about it. Oh dear. "I don't suppose she has my body, too. Looks exactly like me. That would explain-" Trinity had begun to trail off, but as Sasha asked her question, the minstrel's attention was drawn back to the ice make mage. "Oh, uh. Karn's not acting himself today. It seems he's feeling rather forward. And frisky. Something he said to me caught my attention, but I wasn't able to make sense of it until I spoke to Jarvis. He said 'even if you aren't Highlights'. Jarvis told me who Highlights is. From the sounds of it..." She glanced toward Karn, not turning her head to look. "We have a guest."

Location: Domus Flau, Crocus

Grane finally arrived in the room where all the new Council Members were and noticed some were already outside. As he noticed Masahiko help lead everyone outside one by one, Grane walked beside him and took in a deep breath. "When we said that were were doing this, I imagined that all of us would go out at once instead of one by one. Makes it seem as if we're celebrities, especially now that Sayatachi is part of the Council." saying as he slightly grinned about the funny thought, something that doesn't happen very often. "But I suppose this could still do. But we probably should not over stay our welcome. I'm sure the audience here is more excited about the third day of the Magic Games than the New Council at the moment. We shouldn't keep them waiting for too long." With that said, he crossed his arms over his chest, walked outside, and looked around as he was surrounded by the audience in the arena.

Mayt smiled slightly, and waved to the two as they acknowledged his presence. "Not really, no. I plan on heading out later today to go fufill a promise I made to some thieves to get them to turn themselves in peacefully. I do plan on staying until at least after lunch though. So if you want someone slightly more skilled to beat up for a while I'd be happy to oblige." He'd grin softly, looking at the two, and resting his hand lightly on his sword. He was sure he'd have no change against James in a sword fight without magic. He had only been using a real sword for two years, and James had been for much longer than that. "If not, then I'll just watch for a bit if you don't mind."

The distraction she'd hope Damian would be didn't happen, and Penny once more found herself at the attention of this girl. She squirmed slightly, "yeah well we don't have tests or anything to get in. master Jamie is pretty accepting." she said, "Master Jamie will be able to give you a guild mark and such later" she added, she paused for a moment, "there is nothing simple about fire magic. It can be stunningly beautiful, and amazingly complicated. You just have to know how to use it to its full potential"

As Grane walked onto the field, Penny stiffened. She had hoped that he wouldn't be a part of the council anymore, hoped that Masahiko would have got rid of the brute, but obviously that wasn't the case. She still could remember the feeling of smashing through the building walls, and it made her feel queasy to know that Grane was still in a position of power.

"ah, what type of fire magic?" she asked as if nothing was wrong.

Sasha frowned, wondering if it was possible to have any of the Edolas counterparts here in Earthland now, the breach had been closed, the imbalanced fixed. It couldn't be possible, could it? She supposed it could be, but..."how can we? I...EDo Karn wasn't seen for the rest of the time we were there. I know the guild there searched, but couldn't find anything to give any indication of where she went. I don't think she can be here"

James nodded to Mayt and then turned back to Cody. Noting his eyes were on the sword, James used it to fool him, feinting a thrust and bringing his shield across the side of Cody's head. "The blade isn't the only thing an opponent has that can kill you. My shield, for example, can be used to bludgeon you to death while you're still watching my blade, unaware of everything else around you." Letting Cody recover, he attacks again, slashing twice before transitioning into a spinning backhand with his shield, following that up, he slashes again, testing what Cody had learned in the brief time.




Damian chuckled at Penny's awkwardness and resumed watching the Council members walk out. Seeing Grane, he couldn't help but smile at the sight. The lizard man had done what Phoenix Wing had been doing, fighting for his beliefs, even if he had put Penny on the edge of death. That memory caused his temper to flare a little, but not a ton. As he waited, he kept feeling eyes looking his way from across the Stadium and he looked around, taking his eyes off the Council to search.

After several moments, he found them, and from a rather unexpected source. Hyun, his opponent from the first day, was back on her feet, but it didn't seem she'd be taking part in the remainder of the games. Well, at least she's up, and that's what matters.

Adamine followed Damian with her blazing blue eyes as she answered Penny's question "It's just a flame magic, conjugation and control" Adamine glances back at Penny and holds up her hand palm up and a light blue flames appears, it grows slightly larger than a melon and then swirls into a ball, after the ball Adamine flattens the flame out making multiple little flames in a straight line above her hand "I can expand it pretty large with out a fuel scorce like grass or paper, if I do have a scorce I can control it for a couple hundred feet, though the farther out it is the harder it is to contain" She glances back at Damian and raises an eyebrow "What's his power? Adamine looks from Penny to Damian curiously

Adiaan approaches the city of Crocus, black flames lick at his boots and the earth below him, he knew this was where his twin sister was and he was both excited and fearful to confront his past, he needed the answers though. Adiaan moved through the streets, the black flame trailing less than a foot behind him and up along his arms, his blazing blue eyes zig zagged back and fourth through the streets.
He stopped as he saw the palace, it was massive, he wondered if his sister was in there, he closed his eyes and concentraited on the link between them, his whole body becoming engulfed in black fire, reopening his eyes he turns toward the stadium that could be seen just beyond the castle, that's where he'd find his sister.

Cody reeled back as the shield smacked into the side of his head, blinking a couple of times as to regain his vision which had gone a little blurry from the shield's impact. He nodded as he took in James advice once more before reading himself.
He managed to parry the first slash, block and push away the second slash but couldn't react quick enough to block the shield, allowing it to slam into his face and make him stagger backwards. He managed to lock blades with James for the follow up slash, grimacing in effort slightly as James physical strength was far superior to his own so instead of pushing James away he pushed himself away by jumping backwards.
His sword trembled slightly as his hands started to ache because he wasn't quite used to wielding a sword, before tightening his grip once more. He probably could've used his magic to at dodge a few of his attacks, but that would defeat the purpose of the sparring. So far he had done most of the defending as he had been watching James form and technique, Cody had learnt many a thing by watching a person's stance and the way they held themselves.
He could tell that James very much an expert with the sword, his stance just oozed experience and composure and there weren't many, if any, weak points in his defense.
"Concentrate on the form in your hands rather than your opponents" Cody thought as he remembered the lines for the Absolute Shield spell.
That's right, there wasn't much difference between a sword and shield as James had said. Both could be used for similar purposes.
Cody took a deep breath as he edged forward slowly, not taking his eyes off the knight before suddenly appearing in front of James as he brought his sword upwards in a slash with the intent to cut him in half. He followed that up by bringing the blade back down in a fierce arc.

Angela Arthur James Jessica
Angela happily accepted the bag and began munching on the jelly beans with a satisfied look on her face before turning to face Anya.
"I'm Angela, nice to meetcha!" She beamed a smile that screamed of happiness and innocence at meeting yet another new person!
James glanced over his shoulder at the newcomer but didn't pay much else attention to her and sighed to himself at Angela's attitude.
"James." He replied with a dismissive wave of his hand. They weren't going to get to watch any of the games if they kept talking to everyone they ran into.
"I am Arthur, and that is Jessica." Arthur said with a nod of his head to the curtsying Jessica.
"Can we just hurry already guys? We probably missed the beginning already." James urged the others as he and Jessica started walking off, and before Arthur went to join them he grabbed Angela by the back of her shirt and gestured to the other two to follow him.
"I apologise for James' rudeness, but if you would just please kindly follow me. Come now Angela." He told Janna and Anya before swiftly dragging the young girl along with him much to her protest.
"Stop treating me like a kid dammit!" Angela yelled at the top of her lungs, frantically trying to escape Arthurs grip but he just kept dragging her behind him. Eventually she gave up and cross her arms across her chest while pouting.

Anya nodded, smiling. "I'm fine, thanks for asking." She told her. "I've been through a lot worse than bumping into someone and falling." She giggled.

"Ooh, that's good. I'm not really that good at directions either. You'd think I would be, being in a guild and all." She admitted, shrugging. She re-looped her scythe through the make-shift holster on her back and smiled at Angela.

"Nice to meet you, Angela." Anya replied. "Nice to meet all of you." She said smiling, making a mental note of their names. "Ooh! Yea we should get going, lead the way!" Anya shouted happily.

"Ya kno', you never told me your name." Anya told Janna before slowly beginning to follow the rest so she could stay in range of Janna. "Super secret spy or somethin'?" She asked giggling.
