Ha! You thought this was the first post. XD

Nope, this is a post regarding the format you need to use when posting.

If you do not follow these guidelines, I will be a very unhappy GM.

  • Always put some sort of header at the top of your post. This needs to indicate at least: the time of day and the location of your character. You can also @Mention those who need to read your post in order to continue theirs. There are a lot of people in this RP and I do not expect everyone to read every single post. Your teammates and/or characters you are interacting with need to be mentioned in your post. An appropriate example would be this:

Fern Flora - Vale Police Department - Monday: Night
@MentionA @MentionB @MentionC

  • Remember that IC time moves over the course of our week. One day in the IC will pass after 1 week real time. So Sunday-Sunday. Let's assume Sunday-Tuesday is during the Morning IC, Tuesday-Thursday is during the Evening IC, and Thursday-Saturday is Night time IC. I will make a post every Sunday to help remind everyone when the day has changed.
  • No need to feel rushed, this is just to ensure the rp doesn't die out before we get past intros. If you are doing some sort of plot work that needs longer than a week, work on it and post it at a later time as a flashback. Indicate it is a flashback and then proceed with your post.

Fern Flora - Vale Police Department - One Day Ago

  • After you finish the flashback, if you wish to continue in the same post, put another header that shows the change in time from flashback to present so that no one is confused.
  • Allow at least 2 people to post between yours.
  • Do not use hiders. Not everyone can open them.
  • Make sure all participants in a collab are clearly stated in the top for writing credit.
  • This is a Mid-High casual RP and I expect to everyone to write at that standard!

And now, without further do, I announce the official commencement of:

Beacon Academy - Three Days Ago

"Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

The pale, silver haired professor stared out the window in his office, bringing his cup of lightly creamed coffee to his lips as he gazed at the glowing mood. His old friend and right hand woman was quite upset with him this night... within reason. Even the docile tone of her voice did nothing to hide the frustration in her words. Perhaps it was the forceful tap of a heeled foot that echoed through the room, it made her next statement seem all the more serious.

"Ozpin, can we really expect them to be able to handle something like this? It's nearly the start of the new year and I would say this is reckless. Even for you."

"Then I suppose you'll just have to trust me, Glynda. They can handle it. It's the job they signed up for afterall." he replied to her, turning to the blonde woman as she tapped her glasses closer to her eyes. He did the same, though his narrow nose resulted in the small things slipping back down.

"They signed up to fight monsters, not clean up after a radical group of psychopaths that-"

"It is..." he interrupted her, raising a finger. "...the job of a huntsmen to fight monsters. Correct. But I think we both know that these days, monsters come in many different forms. Ones we may... least expect."

A silence came over the two adults then as their faces fell, and a moment later, Glynda sighed.

"What has the world come to? If we cannot even trust our own friends, who can we trust? If it has come to this... how can we continue to cover the eyes of the people with this illusion of peace? We are not even sure ourselves who we can trust." she asked him, looking clearly distressed as she crossed her arms.

"It is not an illusion. We are still in a time of peace." Ozpin said, stepping over to her and placing a hand on her shoulder. "It's only become a bit harder to see. As well as more difficult to maintain."

The blonde shook her head. "I trusted him, Ozpin. We both did... And now-"

The ding of the elevator brought their eyes towards it and caused the woman to pause in her statement.

"Why don't we now place our trust in someone else? A more... honest soul, perhaps?" he said into her ear, moving over to his desk afterwards. As he sat down, he heard Glynda mumble something that tugged the corners of his lips into a smile.

"I can think of at least a dozen other candidates that would be far easier to work with."

The doors of the elevator opened and Glynda was quick to scold the one they'd been waiting for.

"You're late, as usual. Some things never change I suppose?" the blonde said, an eyebrow raising.

The green haired girl rolled her eyes as she stepped out of the elevator and walked over to the two teachers, hands on her hips and with her chin held high.

"I suppose you're right about that. Nice to see you too ma'am. Professor Ozpin." the girl said sarcastically as she stopped in front of the headmaster's desk. The light of the moon illuminated the dim room and cast enough light to reveal the face of the girl to the other two in the room. "Though, I hope you didn't call me out here at this hour to talk about my flaws. It'll be a short discussion since I hardly have any. The walk all the way up here would have been such a waste of time." she added. With a flick of her wrist, the girl pushed some of her long green hair over her shoulder before returning her hand to her hip and cracking a playful grin.

"I assure you, that's not why we asked you to come here, Fern." Ozpin said, finally deciding to say something before Glynda could. "Are you excited for the new school year in a few days?"

"Heh, you bet. I haven't seen my team in a while and I can't wait to see how they're doing." Fern said. "I bet they all slacked off, gained weight, did nothing but laze around since I've been gone."

"Is that so?" Ozpin asked, raising a brow and giving a look to Glynda.

"You haven't seen them all break?"

"Oh, no. Not the entire break. About a week ago I went back to my hometown for a visit. Before that... well, let's just say I think they were happy to get a break from me." she said, laughing lightly and rubbing the back of her head.

"Hmm..."

Fern waved a hand nervously and started speaking again. "Oh, but don't worry. I'm sure they're all ready to start the new year."

"You made it seem like you were away a long time. I wouldn't say one week can be called 'a while'."

Fern looked thoughtful for a moment, nodding. "I guess that's true... But it seemed like forever. My team's my family and even after a few hours I start to miss them. Though, I'd never said that. No one likes a clingy leader."

Ozpin and Glynda exchanged looks again.

"Well, are you going to tell me why I'm here, cause I'm thinking this small talk is getting us nowhere."

"Hmm... I'll get right to the point then. I have an assignment for you and your team, if you're up for it."

Fern blinked and crossed her arms defiantly. "Well, I still have three days left of break so I'm going to have to decline your offer until-"

The loud sound of Glynda's Crop smacking against Ozpin's desk caused Fern to flinch away from the woman and quickly change her mind.

"I mean... why not?" she said, sounding unsure.

Ozpin took another sip of his coffee before speaking. "Not to worry. You will still have the remainder of your break to relax and enjoy the company of your friends. However... I do suggest you are all well prepared."

"Well, what's the assignment?" Fern asked, curious but her tone sounded bored if anything.

"You and your team are to meet at the docks located in the city in three days. Unfortunately, you'll be missing the first few days of school, but your absences will be forgiven this time."

"Uh... right. Any particular reason why?" Fern asked, tilting her head in confusion.

"You'll be going on a trip to Patch, the island just off the coast of the city. Once you're there, you'll get further instructions of your assignment from an old friend of ours. You'll know when you see him."

Fern squinted her eyes and wondered if all old people were this vague.

"We think it would be wise if you perhaps chose another team to go with you. You'll need all the help you can get."

"Any team?"

"Yes, though I think we already know who it will be." Glynda said with a sigh.

"Team PYCH." she said, that mischievous grin forming on her face again.

Ozpin looked to Glynda who shook her head and he shrugged. "Why not? Get in touch with them and let them know where to meet."

"Though, what's the point of an assignment right at the start of the year. Is it some sort of test?"

"Hardly. It's an important assignment so you need to treat this as such. No games Miss Flora."

"Then... why me? Why my team?" she asked, looking at Ozpin.

"It won't just be you. This is going to be a large scale operation. Your team and team PYCH are going to be the first ones to start. Once your part is done, you will return to the school and things will go on as normal."

"But, we're just 2nd year students. What about the 3rd year students? And 4th years?"

"We cannot take the risk of sending out our best teams... but we also need to send in a team we can count on. So... can we count on team FRST and PYCH?"

"Oh... well, of course." Fern said confidently.

"Good. Then, that is all Miss Flora. Best of luck to you and the others."

Fern smiled and turned around, walking back over to the elevator and waving as she stepped inside. As the doors closed, she wondered if she noticed a look of worry on Goodwitch's face... or if perhaps she was just imagining things.

Glynda turned to Ozpin and crossed her arms. "Well... what do we do now?" she asked him as he spun around in his seat and returned to gazing out of the window.

"Now we prepare everything for the incoming first years. We have quite an interesting bunch this year. I imagine the initiation will be eventful."

"I imagine this entire school year is going to be an eventful one."

"Yes... But that is putting it lightly."

Yuna - Monday Morning - Beckon Courtyard

All that Yuna could think about as she was walking though the wide open courtyard was that she couldn't believe it, she was here she was at Beckon.

She glanced down at her Scroll and noticing the time she thought to herself "Well I am still a bit early." Reaching into her bag that she had hanging over her left shoulder down her left side she pulled out a neatly coiled pair of purple headphones. She plugged them into her Scroll and selected her playlist with nearly an uncountable number of songs as she sat down on a nearby bench.

Yuna took a look around the plaza enjoying the site of all the people, trees, fountains, and flowers. Before leaning back a bit more on the bench she glanced over at the large building at the end of the courtyard, Beacon, The single building that represents her hopes and dreams in the world.

With her eyes closed Yuna starts to day dream. She sees sights of her along side three other people that she couldn't make out any details of fighting off hordes of enemies, saving innocent merchants, children asking for their signatures.

A smile made its way across her face, her heart was racing. Her stomach growled, Yunas eyes shot wide open hoping no one heard it. "Maybe I shouldn't have ran left without eating breakfast" she thought to herself as she thought about home and how she was too excited packing the last of her things she needed and wanting to make sure she was not late for her first day.

Paris Rosaline - Rosaline Estate - Two Days Ago

A young man stood under the light of a giant glowing Cherry Blossom. The young mans pink hair swayed in unison with the tree's branches giving the appreance that his hair was apart of the trees leaves. The young man pushed aside his swaying hair out of his face as he studied the fully blossomed tree with indifference, his red eyes barely moving as he focused on the shattered moon behind the leaves and branches. If he wasn't feeling such a hazy mix of emotions he would find it all symbolic but instead it was just sad. His entire existence was bound to this damn tree, he is to take care of it and keep it from destroying everything his family owns. Sakura Rosaline, is what the tree is called. When his family found it, it was already hundreds of years old but shortly after it started to absorb the dust minerals from a now abandoned Mine. Normally when a tree is in contact with dust and especially how much this one had absorb it would kill it and cause untold destruction to the area. But this tree was different. It was in harmony with the dust, for the most part. It still needs a caretaker to keep it from destroying itself in a massive display of fire, earthquakes and winds and other dangers of catastrophic levels, this was done by the Rosaline family whose unique Semblance allowed them... him, to stabilize the dust within it bark to keep it under control for a few weeks before he would need to do it again.

He sighs outloud, this tree was his master to put it bluntly, if it wasn't here he would be free to have control of his own life and be free but instead he's on a tight lease until he has kids of his own to deal with this blasted thing but he would be no better then his parents. This tree has caused so many cycles of resentment. But it was just the life of a Rosaline, a life of duty to the family and of Vale.

The young man raised his hand which carried a scroll by his follow Classmat, Fern of team FRST, he has read dozens of times already, he has already sent letters to his teams relaying the news of the content of the scroll to them. He closed thr scroll slowly, as he remembered the details such as how both his and Fern's teams will group up at the Vale Docks on Monday and go on a mission for the Headmaster himself, a sort of recon mission from what little she told him and if he knew ozpin as he likes to think so, it wasn't her fault. For thr Headmaster has a reputation for always hiding the truth from people, even from his most trusted associates. But that's not the pink haired youth place to judge if he has a mission for him he will do it for that's the duty of the Huntsmen, a true Huntsmen.

Paris stared intensly at the scroll blankly before he smiles at his own naivety, a Huntsmen are just human and Faunas like anybody else, they aren't inherently good people, that's impossible to be no matter how hard people like to think otherwise. A person is made by their choice. Paris had limited choices due to his lease to this tree but even so, with his life tethered to such a tight lease around this duty, a lease can be pulled both ways, and he will pull until he's free enough choose his own life.

His own choices.

Paris Rosaline - Vale Docks - Monday Morning

@agentmanatee@KiltmanBagz@Dawkins

Paris was looking over the docks onto the sea with a smile as the sun raised over the horizon, making the seas and skies into beautiful hues of reds, oranges and yellows as the final Remnants of the night are all but gone.

His hair swayed in the early misty breeze. His smile showed the world his comfort of who he is, for the first time since the start of his school break. His family always has a way to make him second guess himself with everything. But that not important now, what's is the mission detailed to him by Fern who is to meet him here any second now. As he was patiently waiting for both of the teams he is was hoping he wouldn't have to wait much longer. For the fishermen were starting to arrive with their nightly game.

Tam Cobalt - Beacon Academy Courtyard - Monday Morning

The airship docked and the ramp slowly descended, with a shudder the engines shut off and the craft grew quite as the waiting first year students pressed forward, excited to get their first look at the famous Beacon academy. Bright morning sunshine shone through the widening gap between the ramp and the ceiling of the airship. Tam grinned as the warm light played across his face and he had to suppress a purr, first impressions are important after all. He tapped his foot impatiently as the ramp etched downwards, it was moving so slowly! An idea formed in his head and he looked about the small airship, he noted that their didn't appear to be any Professors or other people of authority. He looked back at the ramp, still slowly descending and made up his mind.
He half crouched and sprang up the ramp, his reaching hands reached the top and he pulled himself over. Shouts of alarm came from inside the airship but Tam didn't hear them. Beacon academy spread out before him, the grand courtyard, with it's fountains and trees, set against the backdrop of the sprawling academy itself! He marched forward into the courtyard and stopped, overwhelmed by the grandeur.
A loud grumbling spooked him out of his stupefied wonder and he spun about to find a pink haired girl sitting on a bench. He looked about her but for the life of him couldn't see where the grumbling had come from. Curious now, he approached her, he found it strange that she wore a scarf, it seemed a little warm out to warrant it.
"Hello! Did you hear that noise just then?"

Selena Sabella - Beacon Academy Courtyard - Monday Morning
@Hylianhero

Airships were marvelous things, able to glide through the sky like a bird, and not crash into a blazing ball of fire where everyone one on board was ignited, ran around like pretty little lights, and then stopped moving and fell over. It was as if it traded noise for flight, from the sound of the engines, and then, once landed, the lack of sound. Selena was glad for the lack of sound. Never had she heard something so loud, and instantly, she disliked it. Walking, running, or climbing would have been preffered to that.

Then the whirring growl of the ramp ran out, and she was free from the loud metal box, so she shot out, like a fox darting away from the hounds, even now unsure where she was going. One man was even more eager to get away from the loud metal box, and so threw himself at it, climbing up and over before it had even fully decended. Selena could understand his desire to be away, but she waited for it to decend entirely.

The courtyard was nicer than the big metal box. Trees, and flowers, and birds, marred only by the people standing around them. Still, she had to expect people here, and so needed to get used to them, even if they where evil, theiving people who did nothing but take. Selena's wanderings took her to a bench, with a girl on it, and the jumping man from earlier. The scarf wearing girl - a strange custom of a strange place, Selena thought - made a noise that her small but sharp Faunus ears picked up clearly. It was the noise she had made when her parents did not get home on time for dinner, before she could use the kitchen herself. Such a noise indicated hunger, so without thinking, or speaking, Selena fished a piece of well-wrapped cheese from her back, and thrust it into the woman's direction, an unspoken command to eat. Her own appearance was that of some homeless vagabond who had not seen shower or brush for many months. So, the stand handing of cheese was even more strange, because of her appearance.

Orlan Price - Beacon Academy Courtyard - Monday Morning

For Orlan, the ride on the airship seemed to be the most tense time of his life. Nobody spoke to him, and he spoke to no one, but anxiety and excitement seemed to charge the air. He was almost there. Just a little longer, and he would be able to put Atlas behind him completely. As they approached the courtyard, one of the other students rushed the ramp. Orlan couldn't help a small chuckle as he himself pushed forward into the throng, slipping through the gaps where he could, pushing where he couldn't until he was on solid ground.

It seemed to Orlan that everyone spread out and started chatting at once, and he could only look aroun, shaking his head. Deciding that if no one approached him he would have plenty of time to make friends later, he found himself a tree to sit under. Settling in to wait for something interesting to happen, he pulled a small, leather-bound book from one of his coat pockets. Opening it to a marked page, he began studying a sketch of Axios' inner workings for the thousandth time.

Liam Yūgure - Beacon Academy Courtyard - Monday Morning

The Airship flew through the sky, never liking enclosed spaces Liam sat on the roof enjoying the wind agaisnt his face. He felt right at home, wind rushing against him, the crisp blue sky, but what he really enjoyed was the height. Everything, his past, his future, the present, everything seemed so small to him at that moment. For the first time in a while he felt calm, like nothing mattered except this moment. Deciding that he spent enough time in his calm state, he looked towards his new home. Beacon.

As the ship docked he took a few steps towards the edge and waited for the rest of the students to exit the ship. He dropped off the side and landed with a thud, not many students were left so it didn't make to big a ruckuss. He started walking towards the school, he couldn't help but be impressed with the amazing architecture. But as he observed his surroundings he couldn't help notice a fox faunus hurl a block of what appeared to be food towards a girl with pink hair. Must be friends... for all the luxury money could afford i never had that kind of luxury He shook his head, trying not to remember what he once was. He continued to walk through the courtyard, observing the different students, enjoying the amazing view.

He found an empty bench and laid his weapon down, the heavy weapon a rather loud thud. Liam swore he heard the ground shake but ignored it. he laid across the bench, feeling the slight breeze sweep across his face. I can definetly get used to this.

Heather Di Mint - the Mint summer estate - two days ago

Heather was panting, her breath was short and rapid coming in short bursts. She stood surrounded by the destroyed bodies of Atlas robots, somewhere around 40 or 50 of them, Heather's aura was all but gone, and she was struggling to stand upright. Even so she looked up to the balcony where her mother sat, and curtsied as she had been taught to when performing before others, she held the curtsy until her mother sighed and waved her hand signaling her adopted daughter that she could stand back up. She almost fell over standing up again, all her energy spent from the intense training combat, as the robots had been equipped with lethal ammunition in order to encourage Heather to fight harder to avoid sustaining serious damage to her body... which she had done.

Hanna Mint stood from her chair and walked down the stairs to her daughter, flanked by a servant holding a parasol over her to protect her from the sun, she stepped over the ruined bodies of the machines, came to stop in front of her panting daughter... and sighed, "I had expected far more improvement after a year at beacon Heather, your almost on your knees from exhaustion and that hardly seemed like a fight worthy of a huntress of the calibur you SHOULD be at... but I suppose they also teach you to rely on your team don't they? If there were an easier way to make you an official huntress without sending you to that damned school I would do it in an instant, but as it stands I have no other choice," she sighed and shook her head, looking her faunus daughter in the eyes, leaning down to be face to face with her, "If your going to be the Huntress I expect you to be, don't rely on a team, truly poerful huntsman and huntresses don't NEED any help... I expect you to have improved far more after this second year... you are free to go, your test is done. I have a charity gala to go to so your alone for the rest of the day... go clean up you smell dreadful." Hanna Mint motioned for her servant to follow as she re-entered her large summer estate to prepare for her party.

Heather fell to her knees, finally able to rest now that her mother had left the courtyard. For a few moments she just sat on her knees catching her breath, before tears started to fall from her eyes. She cried quietly, trying hard to not be heard by the groundskeepers now cleaning up the detritus of her test. She still couldn't do it... she wasn't the Huntress she needed to be for her mother who had given her everything... she stopped crying and wiped her eyes, standing up and going inside th estate. She went to her room, stripping off her armor and tossing it to the floor with a loud clank, she undid her pigtails and was about to undress for a shower when the scroll on her bed buzzed. She raised an eyebrow and picked it up, surprised to see it was a message from Paris. She opened it and read the contents... several times to be sure she understood what he was saying. Though she was tired and wanted nothing more than a shower and a nap, she smiled and paractically twirled around the room, excited beyond belief. A mission from Ozpin? Meet at the Vale docks two days from now? It was all so interesting, andshe would get to see her team again! Her friends... at least she hoped they considered her their friend... at the moment all that mattered was that soon she'd be with them again... and this year she intended to make some changes, or at leas she hoped she could. She tossed the tablet back on to her bed and went to shower, she had one more day to train before she needed to be in Vale... she'd make the most of it.

Heather Di Mint - Vale docks - Monday morning

Heather was afraid she was late... or that she would be. She arrived at the docks after running from the small hotel/cafe she had stayed at the night before. She arrived, not out of breath but stopping to make sure she didn't push herself to hard before the mission had even started. She calmed herself, and looked arouund the early morning docks, bathed in the orange sunlight of early morning. It didn't take long to spot Paris, he stood out like a sore thumb from the gruff fisherman, and the orange light didn't help hide his hot pink attire in any way. Heather smiled, and wallked towards him, "Alright Di, you can do this, shout hi! thats what social people do right?... they shout? No.. that isn't it... ummm shake his hand when you get there? No... you've met him alreaddy... uuuuhhhh..." she was so worried about what to do that when she finally got next to Paris all she managed was a, "uuuhhh... he... hey... Paris..." in a soft, almost whisper of a voice.

Nikolas Animus- Beacon Courtyard- Monday Morning

"Wow not as many Faunus here as I expected, still at least I'm not the only one." Nik sat on the grass, with his back against a tree looking out across the courtyard. "Now if I remember correctly everyone who comes to beacon gets put into a team, and they stay in those teams until they graduate and sometimes even past that." lowering his scroll Nik glances at everyone in the courtyard no one there seemed all that interesting so he looks down at his scroll again,"I just wonder who will be in the Team I'm assigned to, hopefully another Faunus." Nik continued to talk to himself quietly as a few people passed by nobody but a few other Faunus ever looked his way but at the moment he didn't care, absent mindedly Nik's hand slowly moved toward the large grey steel axe close by, upon touching it he grabbed it tightly bringing it closer to him as he sat watching the crowd.

Razor WhiteFang - Beacon Courtyard - Monday Morning

Razor, a young white fox Faunus with candy apple red eyes, short white hair, and a chipped right fang walked through the courtyard. From his demeanor he seemed pissed and wanted nothing to do with anyone around him. His right arm had a tattoo of a King Taijitu staring from his shoulder and wrapping around his arm with the mouth open about to devour his hand and his left shoulder had a tattoo of a beowolf head. He wore blue t-shirt with a design of a cross exploding from a skull as chips of bone fly from the open wound. Black jeans, black and white Nike sneakers, and around his neck was a necklace with his emblem on it. As he walked his right ear moved with every sound around him while his left ear didn’t move at all.

“It’s way too early for this crap,” Razor sighed before he accidentally bumped into another student. However, instead of apologizing he turned to him and yelled, “Watch where you’re going idiot.” The student was taken aback by his outburst and slowly walked away from him. Razor rolled his eyes and continued to walk through the courtyard. That’s right, stay as far away from me as possible. If I can alienate myself and keep people away, then I won’t have to worry when my Semblance activates. Razor thought before he spotted a small patch of trees and headed towards them.

“Just have to keep away from people, by any means necessary,” Razor said as he sat down against the base of the tree. The trip here was uneventful, but when he got into the city. It seemed some higher power wanted him to cross paths with others. He had to help a lost child find his parents and elderly women’s back broke and he helped her. All the while he feared his Semblance would activate. The thought of his Semblance activating was always on his mind and it even affected his sleep. Every night he’d wake up from a nightmare and all day he could see the nightmare when he closed his eyes.

“I hope you’re right father. I hope this place can help me with my Semblance and this primal rage inside. Otherwise I’ll become nothing more than a Grimm,” Razor said to himself. Grimm attack anyone around them without thought or reason. Just like me with my Semblance, but how can I explain it to these professors? Razor thought. Around others he would act like a jerk to push people away, but he felt bad to lash out at others that didn’t deserve it. However, his greatest fear was his Semblance and being around people when it activates.

Renji Yamada - Serenity's Edge Monestary - Two Days Ago

Clash, clang, boom. The sounds of fighting reverberated through the garden. Two men battling it out in the center of a large makeshift arena. One man was young, tall, and defending blow for blow against an older shorter man. The movements were quick as lightning and flowed like water in a stream. It would seem like the elder had the upper hand, but one would be wrong. The young man soon retaliated with a flurry of wicked blows. The elder dropped to his knees and did something quite particular. He smiled. "Renji, my son, you make me proud. All those years of believing in you have finally paid off. As a father I am sad to see you go, but as your headmaster I couldn't be anymore excited." He said as he stood. Renji helped him up then pulled his father in for a hug. "I will miss you too father. I promise to write and send gifts of my travels." Said the young man.

"I will hold you to it. I also want you to show those city dwellers us country folk are not as weak as they think we are. Remind them that we were founded by one of their adored Huntsman, but most importantly you take care of yourself. I love you son." Admitted Renji's father. The young man chuckled relinquishing the embrace then said, "I will father. I love you too." The two of them then bow at each other then at the eastern horizon. A show of honor to each other and to the gods for a good fight. Before stepping off the arena they give each other one last hug. They walked together in meaningful silence to the entrance of the monestary where a Jeep was waiting for Renji. The pair stopped at the large wooden gateway. Bowing once again to each other they looked to each other with tears in their eyes. Renji nodded and his father smiled giving him a thumbs up.

With that Renji made his way to the Jeep and and likewise to the pretigious Beacon Academy.

Renji Yamada - Beacon Courtyard - Monday Morning

Renji thankfully stepped off the airship happy to feel firm ground under his wooden sandles once again. He had never ridden one before and it just made his fear of heights much worse. After a long moment bent over gathering his center of gravity back he stood strait, adjusted the large ebony case on his back, straitened his straw sunhat, and made his way with the crowd into the courtyard proper. They all passed a fountain then split off into their own directions. Looking down at the scroll he had been given by the school representative at the airport his face scrunched up in confusion. He had never seen let alone used any piece of technology like this. Scratching at his temple he walked off blindly while examining the thing.
This was a mistake on his part. He soon bumped into another student who quickly began berating him and telling him to watch where he was going.

Renji was quickly bowing and and apologizing sincerely. This was mistake number two. Apartently the female was a city girl through and through and had no idea of outside customs. She then began tearing into him for being condecending and rude. That then was her mistake. "Ma'am I assure you I mean no offense. As for you I believe you should study up on culture this year. Not everyone is out to get you. As the great Atlam said, 'Those who hold themselves higher than others fear their own stature.'" He said in a calm yet commanding voice. The girl and her friends just stared at him like he had spoke in tongues and just walked away mumbling to themselves about how weird he was. Sighing deeply Renji noticed a nearby empty bench. Taking it he unloaded his case and laid it beside him. One to let bygones be bygones he returned his attention to the digital device in his hand.

Pushing the center button as he had been instructed to do by a fellow passenger he jumped a bit startled by it sliding open. The main screen popped up and offered many options. In Renji's mind it was a bit daunting at first, but there was better time to learn than the present. So with a deep breath he started pushing buttons. Screen after screen scrolled by delighting him more and more with each passing one. Soon though he got lost. Unable to return to the main screen he panicked. Pushing buttons at random hoping to find his way. That was his third mistake. Suddenly loud noises were coming from the phone. Some familiar, but most strange and very loud. He has happened to find the ringtone page. Then all of a sudden he dropped the device and gripped at his ears. The tone was a fog horn. A very sensitive frenquency for his damaged ears. "Oh gods please someone make it stop!"

Dawn Agresta - Beacon Courtyard, Monday Morning

Some would be forgiven for thinking that Dawn was bored with the situation at hand as she exited the airship onto the campus of Beacon. With her current hairstyle, as well as the way she carried herself and the lack of a smile at the moment, it was easy to assume that she was being dismissive of this all, even when this should have been incredibly exciting. After all, this was Beacon Academy, one of the premier schools on Remnant itself. People would kill to get here, though there were no recent incidents of that sort of thing. But Dawn imagined that it had to have happened at least once.

And really, she was excited to be here. It was just, perhaps, the fact that she had only just made it here which made her so lackluster in energy compared to everyone else, so it seemed. Still, she would survive, and she was sure that she would be more motivated the closer they got to the beginning of school itself.

She moved a bit away from the ship, a hand resting on her hip as she viewed the courtyard. There were all sorts of people here, running around and examining the place, meeting new people, all the things that one would expect from new arrivals at a school such as this. Conspicuously though there weren't many upperclassmen that she could see. Perhaps they were being deliberately kept away, to give the new students time to bond? She could only assume.

"Well, we're here now," she said to herself, breaking into a slight smile at that. Yes, she was here. And she would make the best of it. That was the least she could do when it came to impressing her older brother and living up to his expectations. With how things were these days, she would need to impress him. At least, in her mind anyway.

Then her eyes widened slightly as an idea occurred to her. Oh, that's good. She had just had a thought for the novel she had been working on, one which had been caught in something of a void due to writers block for some time. But maybe with this new thought, she could break it.

So she quickly hurried over to an archway, stepping into the shadow present as she pulled out a notebook and pen. Sure, she could write on her scroll, but there was just something about the physical material that she could appreciate, and it kept her from getting distracted. Intent, she quickly jotted down the idea, possible connections, and all the things she would need to exploit it further, before. So for the moment she focused on that. Once she was done, then she could get to socializing.

Asvoria Laurent - Beacon Academy Courtyard - Monday Morning

The subtle noises of the vehicle's engine was ousted by the noise of people around her. Talking, talking, jibber jabber. In truth, Asvoria was ready to get off the ship. It was all she could do to sit down and rest her head against the wall lest she get sick standing up and hoping for the best. She really just wanted to rest her eyes for a bit to make sure she had energy for the rest of the day. . . Then the shuttle landed. Asvoria didn't figure that all out herself. She had a little help from the few random feet that shuffled quickly past (and onto) her feet. "Watch it, watch it!" She exclaimed at people that weren't even there anymore. She was just happy to be done with that annoying ride. . . She wouldn't want to be called "Vomit Girl" or anything embarrassing like that on her first day.

Still, with the ship quickly emptying, Asvoria found that it would be best to make like a banana and split. On the outside. . . Well, it was just amazing. Ignoring her height altogether, the school was humongous! Like, so very big. With it being the first day and all. . . "Is there a directory in this place?" She asked no one in particular. It felt like many questions asked before, but she couldn't help but wonder at the time.

Plenty of people were around but most seemed to have friends they came with or something or perhaps they tried talking on the ship. Asvoria sure didn't try that. Didn't want to feel sick or nothing. She was feeling much better now so she decided to try to make some friends before the start of school. Turning, she found someone with (in her opinion) excessively long hair. She didn't quite seem to have talked to anyone yet and didn't quite look like she wanted to but if she could talk to this person first then perhaps she could say she tried the most difficult challenge!!! Or something. . . "Hey you, girl with the long black hair!" She exclaimed recieving a few confused looks from stragglers that walked by innocently. Noticing this, Asvoria moved in closer and spoke in a bit softer and normal volumed voice. "Ok, maybe that was a bit loud. I just wanted someone to talk to and you looked open." She looked in the air for a second thinking that would be a little impolite to end like that, "If that's fine with you that is."

Nikolas Animus- Beacon Courtyard- Monday Morning
@Bigg Slamm

Instantly his attention is grabbed by the loud noise and yelling of what looked to Nik as a monk."Lovely well at least I'll get some social interaction." Standing up Nik saunters over to the monk, bending over he picks up the guys scroll and turns it off, handing back to the guy. "Dude, your not from around here are you? Well I am, the names Nikolas Animus, but you can call me Nik." Nik sits next to the guy and stretches his back across the bench putting his arms behind his back in an extremely relaxed position,"So what's your name? I mean it's only polite to exchange names, and I've already told you mine." Looking over to the monk Nik gives a bright smile. A few thoughts went through Nik's head one more prevalent then the others,Look at me now you White Fang bastards, I'm doing the good that you used to. Nik turned back to watch the crowd face gone cold and serious.I wonder whats this guys story. He looks like someone from a monastery, which makes me wonder, aren't most monks are supposed to be peaceful.

Renji Yamada - Beacon Courtyard- Monday Morning
@snarfulblast

Renji was rocking in his seat yammering trying to drone out the noise when suddenly that's all he heard. He opened his eyes to see a wolf faunus standing there with his scroll in hand turned off. It was hard to make out what the wolf had said due to Renji's ears recovering but he got the gist from reading the boy's lips. Renji was about to extend a hand and introduce himself in response, but the wolf now known as Nik invited himself to sit. Quickly Renji move his weapon's case to the other side of him on the ground before Nik could sit on it. "Are all city dwellers like this? I sure hope not." Renji thought to himself as Nik asked him his name so bluntly. "Well at least he is being cheery about it." He realized and smiled back. "Renji, Renji Yamada. I'm not from around here no. I'm from Minstrel. Serenity's Edge Monestary. You probably haven't heard of it. No one I've met today has. Sad really. The view at sun rise is beautiful." He said looking down at his scroll.

Realizing he was forgetting something he looked at Nik. "Thank you for fixing my scroll. Like you said I'm not from around here. We don't have much technology in the monestary. We are pretty much self sufficient." He explained before tucking the device away. "Where abouts are you from? You said you from around here. Are you a student?" He asked with a curious smile. Renji wondered what it was like growing up in a city. He wondered what it was like to be faunus. He had heard stories of racism and prejudice. He wondered what Nik thought of this Whitefang extremist group he had heard about. While in the airport there was a man on the TV talking about them. Renji couldn't believe how much chaos there was in the world. He wasn't surprised that Grimm attacks were on the rise. Well, that was why he was here. To bring peace.

Nik- Beacon Courtyard- Monday Morning
@Bigg Slamm

"Yeah I'm a student first year here same as you, and before you ask how I knew you where a first year it's because of how you handled your scroll. Anyways where am I from well I was born here in Vale, but at a young age my parents where killed by Grimm. I had to live on my own for a few years, until I was found by a nice Faunus couple who took me in, the only thing I have left of my family is this axe here. Of course I've modified it to have Dust compatibility. But hey whose doesn't know how to use dust am I right?" Nik tilts his head towards Renji,"Hey sorry if this seems rude but would you like me to show you around? You look like you could use a guide who knows how everything works and if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask, but know that if I don't like the question you asked I'm not gonna answer." Nik stands up stretches, and lets out a giant yawn. Picking up his axe in a flourish, placing it neatly in his back sheath. "So if you would like to be giving a tour I'll be sitting down under that tree over there." Nik points towards the tree he was sitting under earlier, which he was already making his way back to, ears flicking and twitching to the noises around him, Nik liked two things groups of people and food, which reminded him that he was hungry. Pulling out a granola bar Nik begins to munch on it while he wade making his way back under the tree, upon reaching the tree Nik sits down and goes into a doze.

Rust Bairne - The Bairne Estate - Saturday Afternoon

Rust barked out a laugh, pinning his older brother to the floor with his heel, standing in a rather over-cheesed victory pose with his fists planted on his hips and his chin held high.
"Boom! You should know better, Ricky- You're no good up close! Stick back with that oversized pea shooter of yours, if you ever want to beat m-"

He cut off with a grunt as a much smaller person barreled into his stomach head first, sending Rust flying comically across the living room to slam into the wall, leaving a rather person-shaped array of cracks- His younger sister standing where he had been with a broad grin, cracking her knuckles. She was tiny, sure, but she'd gotten one hell of a semblance- She was just about strong enough to lift half the family in the air with one hand. Like a tiny, walking tank.
"Nyeeehhhh! You shouldn't pick on Ricky, Rust~. You can barely run two miles without falling over for a nap, you lazy lug."

As Layla gloated over her own little victory, Ricky stumbled to his feet with a grimace, cracking his neck. Rust -had- given him a thrashing, but it was nothing new. The siblings fought almost constantly whenever they were all at home. It drove their parents insane- Especially during the summer months. Rust had left from Beacon almost the day vacation started, and he wasn't due back until the day it ended. They had put about a dozen different new holes in the walls, and at one point even fallen through the second story floor. The Bairne house was, needless to say, usually a mess.
"Jeeze, you two- Mom and dad will kick our butts over that new hole!"

For a few moments, the three shared a laugh- They were about to start more ruckus, when Rust's scroll buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out with a blink- It was Fern, saying to meet the team at the docks Monday morning. He sighed, suddenly feeling quite exhausted. Layla jumped up and down behind him, trying to read the message over his shoulder.
"What is it? Is it your giiiiiirl frieeeeeend~?"

He snorted, catching her by the collar of her shirt mid-jump and setting throwing her back towards Ricky. Strong as she was, she was still a lightweight.
"Gods no- And I pray she never is, Fern scares the crap out of me. It's business. FRST has a mission, I guess."

With a huff, Rust flopped down onto the couch, tucking his scroll back into his pocket and letting his eyes drift shut.
"You two go on ahead without me- I need a nap."
And, to the sounds of his siblings beginning a whole new brawl over something about the last cookie, he drifted off. Break was over, he supposed...

Rust Bairne - The Vale Docks - Monday Morning

Rust shuffled across the docks, looking like a zombie. It was too early for this- He wanted to be back in bed. Hell, he wouldn't mind being back home for another few days, to get some extra sleep, or upgrade Sear and Scorch a little. But, work was work- So shamble on he did, gradually dragging himself closer to the blaze of pink hair that he recognized as Paris's head. He vaguely recalled they would be working with PYCH on this, so he figured it was best to wait by them. As he neared them, he gave a lazy, half-dead wave of his hand, quite simply falling face-first to the ground next to Paris. He even whipped his favorite pillow out of Hammer-space, resting his head on it with a groan.
"Sup, Paris- Hey, Heather. You two have a nice break?"
He flashed Heather a lazy grin.
"I'd try and hug you, fuzzball, but I need a nap."
Coming from anybody else it might have sounded racist- But it was well known that Rust had a weakness for fuzzy and adorable things and the nearly irresistible urge to cuddle such things, which included Faunus- Much to many of their chagrin.

Yuna Bolt - Monday Morning - Beacon Courtyard
@Invariance Of C @KabenSaal

After Yuna snapped back to reality from thinking about earlier in the day she saw two strange people standing in front of her. One smeed as if they had just finished asking a question of some sort and awaiting a response and the other was holding a piece of wrapped food in her directions.

All she could do for a few moments was look between the two with her eyes. She pulled the front of her scarf over her nose using it to hide a good portion of her face. She looked over to the girl with the wrapped cheese and asked "Is that for me?" she waited for a response.

With a sudden realization that she still had her headphones in she ripped one out of ear and switched her attention over to the other stranger that stood before her. It was hard to make out any detail in their body due to the sun blinding her a little and forcing Yuna to squint to see.

"I am so sorry!" she murmured from under her scarf "Did you as a question or something?"

Yuna suddenly had a feeling of anxiety arsing in the back of head. All her current emotions of excitement and nerves mixed with the realization there where suddenly two people she did not even know talking to her and her she was looking like a weirdo having no idea whats going on. "Great of all the ways to make a first impression this was probably one of the worse!" she screamed in her head.
