Renji Yamada - Beacon Courtyard - Monday Morning
@snarfulblast

Renji was glad to hear Nik was a fellow new student and knew his way around the city. He could have been more tactful about how he deducted how Renji was a new student, but Renji just stocked it up as first day nerves. Renji was sad to hear his Nik's parents passed away in a Grimm attack, but was happy he found someone nice to care for him. Renji was surprised he hadn't noticed the wolf's axe. It was a fine piece of weaponry. When Nik asked if he could be Renji's guide Renji realized he just might have to get used to how blunt Nik was that this was is true personality. Renji mentally shrugged. "Honesty is the best policy, but then again sometimes truth hurts." He thought to himself. At least Nik realized it might be considered rude. Renji was about to open his mouth to ask something, but Nik decided to get up and excused himself.

Renji watched in bewilderment as the wolf walked away nonchalantly. As he did Renji mumbled under his breath. "I'm definately going to have to get used to city life. I certainly hope not everyone is like him." When Nik had reached his tree Renji remembered him mentioning his weapon. That reminded him that he had not inspected Serenity's Regret since before getting on the airship yesterday. Picking up the large ebony scroll case he opened it in his lap to reveal his weapon and some of it's ammo. Taking it out he begun to inspect it thoroughly like a trained pro. He checked if the chamber was clear, he checked the alignment, and checked all the connections. He then went through a transformation check. Setting the case aside he stood and began to twirl the weapon around on it's lever. Using the momentum the weapon quickly changed from rifle form to getsugasan form. Finally after an elegant display of flourihing the staff weapon around his form it split in the middle taking gunbai/sickle mode.

Happy with the result Renji smiled and with one last feat of swift hand work he tossed the weapon in the air where it transformed back into rifle form and spun back to earth. He caught it before it hit the ground continuing the twirling speed before laying it to rest on his shoulder like a soldier of old. Chuckling to himself at showing off to no one in particular he sat and returned his weapon back to it's case. Sitting there alone he pondered on how the coming up school year might be. What kind of team would he be on? Would they be friends? What kind of adventures will they have? Pondering soon turned to meditation as he closed his eyes and began to chant mantras under his breath as so not to disturb anyone nearby.

Liam Yūgure- Beacon Courtyard - Monday Morning
@Bigg Slamm
As Liam rested on the bench he couldn't help but notice an elegant display of another students weapon. Deciding that maybe he should at least attempt to make friends, he stood up, picked his weapon up noticing the cracks in the concrete where his weapon was. Maybe i should be more careful with Pis'mo... Liam refused to call his weapon anything but it's appropriate name. He placed his weapon on his back, each time wondering why he made it almost the full length of his body.

He walked over to where the student was and couldn't help but wonder why a kid of his age is already dedicated this extremely to a religion. ignoring it he addressed the monk.

"Hey there i couldn't help but notice how quickly you handled your weapon. It was pretty impressive, but i guess everthing here is otherwise we wouldn't all be here." He felt like a tourist, walking around in awe of everything he saw. But this was the first time he in public on his own.

"My name is Liam Yūgure. Your's?" He said formally holding out his hand.

Martin Chestnut--Beacon Courtyard--Monday Morning

Martin had forgotten how much he hated air travel. The first few moments off of the airship were spent with him leaning, one arm against a nearby tree, staring at the ground and trying to avoid puking his guts out on the first flight trip of what would certainly be many. For the time being, he was going to have to face a few seconds of terrible motion sickness before his will reasserted itself. Might as well get the adapting over with now, before it actually would be a threat to his own safety and to that of whatever team he was assigned to.

The queasiness finally retreated, Martin shaking his head as he looked up. Students of all shapes, sizes, and walks of life were running, sauntering, or practically tiptoeing their way across the courtyard with varying degrees of confidence and glee. Frankly, Martin didn't see what was so emotionally exciting about the courtyard--sure, he could feel the slight flutter of emotion in his stomach like anyone else, but it was just an ordinary courtyard, albeit the yard of Beacon. He'd be far more enthusiastic about their first mission, or the opening ceremony itself.

Of course, his mind might just be keeping his level of excitement low to avoid agitating his stomach once again. He pushed off the tree, starting to walk into the courtyard proper and through the archway. He should probably get to know some people. Odds were he'd be on a different team than them, but at least if he knew some people nights wouldn't be so lonely.

As luck would have it, the first person he ran into was a girl standing in the archway and writing something in a notebook. Evidently, something had kept her back from the rest of the crowd now either lying on the grass or standing around the field and talking. He paused, brown eyes giving her a once over, then his attention returning to the yard ahead. He was torn. Sure, he could speak... But he of all people knew how much focus meant--and judging by the frenetic pace with which she was writing, it was an idea that couldn't wait. Martin popped his neck once, still gazing out into the middle of the courtyard, forming first impressions of those there... Either waiting for the girl to look up or procrastinating another walk on queasy legs, he couldn't exactly say which.

Razor WhiteFang - Beacon Courtyard near water fountain - Monday Morning

Razor looked around and saw that the courtyard was filling up fast with academy students. He stood up and stretched. He had been sitting for so long his right leg had fallen asleep. He routed his right ankle to get the blood flowing again before he walked out towards the water fountain. He cupped his hands together and dipped them into the water. He then brought the water to him mouth and drank. There was a well in the middle of his village where he grew up so he didn’t mind drinking the water of the fountain. In fact the water here tasted a lot better than the water back home. He dipped his hands into the water again and drank more. His white fluffy fox tailed swished on the ground before an oblivious student walked up to Razor and stepped on his tail causing him to yelp in pain. The student jumped back and Razor grabbed his tail and rubbed it.

“What the hell where you thinking you freaking moron!” Razor yelled. He had made it his plan to act like a jerk to push people away, but his reaction was genuine anger. His tail was the most sensitive part of his body and right now it felt like someone had stabbed him in the lower back. Before the student could respond, Razor lashed out, “Watch where you’re going you hairless ape! Are you stupid or just blind?” Razor could tell this student was both sorry for his blunder, but also seemed to fear him. Maybe he’s never seen a really pissed off Faunus before? Razor thought. He took a deep breath and sighed.

“Next time watch where you’re going. You may not have a tail to worry about, but most of us have a really sensitive tail idiot,” Razor lectured before he threatened, “Or maybe you want to find out how sharp my claws are?”

Renji Yamada - Beacon Courtyard - Monday Morning
@jman221

Renji was almost in his zen state when he was interuptted by a male voice complimenting on his skills with a weapon. He sighed then took a deep breath before opening one eye. It revealed a tall man with a large weapon of his own strapped to his back. Renji seldom ran into people taller than he was let alone his age. Impresses in his own right he opened the other eye and looked up to the man who now introduced himself as Liam. "Ah finally someone with some manners." Renji thought to himself throwing a quick glace over to the napping Nik before smiling at Liam and taking his hand in a firm yet friendly shake. "Renji, Renji Yamada. Pleasure to meet you. Indeed everyone is impressive in their own right. Such as your weapon. I bet it takes some true strength to wield it. What is her name? The fine piece of craftsman ship I wield is known as Serenity's Regret." He said after relinguishing Liams hand. "I built her during my training back home in Mistrel. Where do you hail from?" He asked offering a seat by moving his weapon's case once more.

Dawn Agresta - Beacon Courtyard, Monday Morning
@Kaithas

Dawn took a few minutes to sketch down the idea, plotting possible avenues to take with her story. It was important, at least in the moment, since it didn't seem as though thy were being summoned away to do something right now. The Opening Ceremonies weren't for some time, at least as far as she understood the schedule. So she felt like she could take her time with this, just to make sure that she didn't leave out anything that she considered important.

At last she finished though, nodding her head slightly in satisfaction. She wasn't going to do any actual writing right now, at least not until she got to her room or some place that was a bit more to her liking. Out here there were too many distractions, which was an odd thing to say but just her own personal preference in the matter.

After a second though, she glanced up to see a boy with brown hair standing nearby, seemingly gazing out into the courtyard while doing so relatively close to her, as if he wanted to talk or something. So she looked up, one eye shaded by her hair in that signature and peculiar style of hers, as she spoke up. "Can I help you?"

Yami Crimson - Two Days Ago - Crimson Household

Yami had been doing the same routine the entire break. The cycle of waking up, training, helping his mother around the house, and sleeping were the only things that went on in Yami's days. A couple conversations with his teammates via Scroll here and there, but never actually going out and meeting them face to face. It was a bittersweet feeling for Yami, he always enjoyed the peace and quiet of total isolation but he also enjoyed each of his teammates dearly, although he didn't show it most of the time.

Yami sighed heavily as he swept the floor of the house, a bi-weekly task that he hated so much but he knew it had to be done. Yami had almost the entire house done when the scroll in his pocket started to buzz. Yami leaned his broom in the corner of the room and opened the scroll to see what the message was. The message was from his team leader Paris which after some greetings, went on to explain how the team was supposed to meet at the Vale docks for a mission. Yami gave the scroll a quizzical look for a bit, a mission on the very first day of school, that had to be a rarity. Yami pocketed his scroll, and went back to work sweeping the floor while a small grin formed on his face.

Yami Crimson - Present Time - Vale Docks

Yami gave out a soft yawn as he pulled his hood over his head. Yami didn't get any sleep last night and dark bags had formed under his eyes, too excited to even sleep Yami stayed up all night too excited for his own good to meet his teammates and friends after the long break. Yami made his way to the Vale Docks after a couple twists and turns. Yami squinted as he tried to pick out his team, blinking a couple times to try and give his eyes some life. Yami almost immediately spotted his pink leader Paris, along with the antlers of Heather. Yami walked up quietly as ever up to his two teammates, halfway there Yami spotted a body laying on the ground napping. Yami knew who it was almost instantly, only Rust would carry around a pillow, ready to take a nap anytime he had the chance. Yami appeared behind his teammates and Rust, and gave them a silent "Hey guys." before pulling his hood down from over his head, and looking down to the ground almost immediately. Although Yami was friends with his teammates, he couldn't shake his awkwardness of even starting a conversation with him.

Liam Yugure - Beacon Courtyard - Monday Morning
@Bigg Slamm
Liam was a bit put back at how casual the monk greeted himself.
"Nice to meet you to, Renji." He was nervous but didn't let it show, when he asked about Pis'mo he pulled the large weapon off his back and stood it next him proudly.
"Her name is Pis'mo Krovi, or in casual dialect Blood Letter, your weapon kinda puts mine to shame though." he said with a light laugh. He realised that he hadn't laughed in over 4 years. When Renji asked of his origin he became a little tense, wanting to forget his past was a difficult thing but he had to push through to prove his father wrong.
"I come from the far northern regions of Atlas, I'm the bastard son of Joel Mito, CEO of Mito weapons and demolitions..." he said that last part with hatred in his voice, all he wanted to do when he heard that was punch the closest thing but restrained himself for the moment.
"If you don't mind me asking, where from Mistral do you come from? I only ask as i've visted that region a few times."

Renji Yamada - Beacon Courtyard - Monday Morning
@jman221

Renji smiled at the small aura of pride Liam gave off when presenting his weapon. It was Renji's turn to be taken aback by Liam when he introduced his weapon's name. A small frown was quick wiped away by an amused smirk as he was complimented once again. "Sure no two weapons are the same, but like their wielders they are special in their own right. Extensions of their masters they take the form they are meant to be." He stated with a stately air. Renji's frown returned after Liam had said where he was from and added his standing with his father. It made Renji think of his own father and thank the gods they had the relationship they have. Renji was about to quote the great Atlum's teaching's when Liam quickly changed the subject asking where Renji was exactly.

"The far eastern seaboard. Serenity's Edge Monestary. My father is the headmaster. I doubt you've heard of us. We are pretty shut off from the outside world save for the neighboring villages. What's left of them that is. We serve as a refugee camp of sorts. We provide sanctuary to those attacked my the Grimm. The beasts hardly bother us due to the positive nature of the reserve and all. When they do come it's usually a lonely stragler searching for food. Besides that It's rather peaceful, and the most beautiful sunrise." Renji then noticed he was ranbling and apologized. "I'm sorry here I am droning away about myself. What about you? Did you live in a city? What was it like?" He asked, but he hanted to ask more. Specifically about Liam's father, but he didn't bring it up. He knew that family quarrels could be a sensitive subject.

Paris Rosaline - Vale Docks - Monday Morning

 @agentmanatee@KiltmanBagz@Dawkins @Vilhelm@OneWayOut @boomlover@datadogie

Just as Paris' nose was crinkly from the smell of fish and other ungodly things from the sea, a soft and shy voice brought him back to reality. He knew who it was immediately, he smiles softly then turned his face and body away form the rising sun to his Deer friend, Heather Di Mint. A member of the team he leads, Team PYCH. She is a Faunas but to him that didn't matter she was a trusted teammate and he would stand up for her when people tease her, although they been in a team for a whole year she's still shy towards him but he blames himself for that, since he does tends to be overbearing at times with her and Yami, but it best for him to reply.

"Howdy, Heather!" Paris smiled brightly at his friend and team mate, his bright red eyes was almost sparkling with emotions, a rare thing when at his parents estate.

Before Paris could continue talking with Heather a new arrival came up to then, it was one of the members of the other team, Rust of Team FRST, an oddball that one but reliable in combat as he remembers. But one wouldn't guess that by looking at the half dead man walking towards the two looking like he could pass out at any moment not a morning person, Rust.
The lazy man introduced himself to the pair with a somewhat rude nickname to Heatherm Paris shot Rust a quick but stabbing glare at the nickname even if he didn't meant any ill will by it, Paris won't allow name calling to his Faunas team member, but his expression quickly returned to his normal smile once he calmed down. "Greetings, Rust... I hope you have a nice nap." Paris spoke to Rust who slowly but surely started to take a nap in the middle of the dirty and wet Docks, Paris was trying his hardest to not yell at him to at least move on to a bench so he wouldn't ruin his clothes and pillow.

Suddenly when his guard was lowered another voice spoke up behind him, at the start of last year he would've jumped in fright and karate chop the space where the voice came from that startled him but after being around Yami, he never reacted the same way or else he would get in trouble. Paris spinned around quickly in place and looked up to meet the eyes of his follow manly team mate, Yami Crimson.

"Hiya, Yami, long time no see~ Even though Yami had a whole foot over Paris, Paris was the more confidant of the group, besides Carlin who hasn't showed up yet, which was odd for her. She must be busy this morning. " How are you two this fine morning?"

Tam Cobalt - Monday Morning - Beacon Courtyard

Tam winced as the girl took her headphones out, he had committed one of the worst social faux pas possible! Trying to speak to someone while they have headphones in, now what was he supposed to do? He glanced at the cheese seller, rumours would spread, no one would talk to him, no one would join his team, he'd never meet anyone, never have children, die old and alone in a hovel somewhere beyond the ken of man!

"I am so sorry! Did you as a question or something?"

Okay, okay just play it cool, we can recover this. He thrust his hand forward to shake her hand.
"Hey, I'm Tam..." His mind went blank "urr" He cleared his throat, buying a little more time. His eyes finally aligned on the pool of darkness attached to her hip. "Cool weapon! What's it do?"

Okay, good work, solid contribution to the conversation, awesome recovery.
Tams smile became a little fixed as he awaited her reply. Something ticked in his mind, some nervous reflex telling him he had missed something, Something about the cheese seller. He sniffed the air, something... He ever so casually turned his gaze on the cheese seller. Fox! A primal nervousness filled him, a reflexive fight or flight reaction hanging on a knifes edge, he forced it down and took a half step closer to her, as if to prove the point.

Cyra Zylvan - Monday Mornings - Landing Pad
@FateWeaver

“Miss? Miss? Excuse me Miss, but I need you to wake up.”

Cyra groaned as she felt something prodding into her shoulder, dragging into wakefulness. Blinking her eyes open, she gazed blearily up at the man standing over her, then flinched away as he reached for her again.

The man smiled apologetically. “Sorry, Miss, but we’ve arrived. I’m going to need you to depart.”

For a moment she gazed at him, then sighed internally. He didn’t notice. “I-it’s alright. Thank you.” Rubbing her eyes with the back of her gloved knuckles, she rose from her seat and looked out the window. Before her, towering spires pierced the sky, dominated by a large central clock tower. Beacon Academy, where the best Huntsmen and Huntresses came to train and learn their craft, attracting students from all over the Kingdom of Vale, and more than a few from the other kingdoms.

Cyra swallowed. And for the next four years, my home. Whether or not it would be a home remained to be seen.

She turned to grab her backpack from where it had sat beside her against the wall, and as she did so she wondered about the other students filing off the transport, where they had come from, what lives they had lived. Most had probably come from wealthy, or at least modestly comfortable homes, with suitcases full of clothes and treasured possessions, bearing memories of loving families and happy times. Certainly there were some things they missed, things they didn’t have space for or knew they didn’t need.

What were the odds that anyone else there would have the entirety of their life stuffed into a single backpack?

Shaking the thoughts from her head, Cyra shouldered the bag and adjusted her scarf, making sure the thin fabric was drawn up over her nose. If she was being honest with herself, it probably didn’t need to be up that high, especially not with her hood pulled over her head, but with all these strangers about, she wasn’t going to take any chances. Better that they think her strange for how she dressed than for what she was.

As she emerged from the transport, the sight of several other Faunus milling about waiting for their bags made her relax slightly. Some were quite open about their natures, others were more subdued, but it was still somewhat reassuring that she wasn’t entirely alone. Perhaps one day she could be as open as them, but they probably didn’t have quite the same history as she did.

A heavy thump drew her attention back to the transport, where luggage and cargo were being off-loaded. One young man was struggling to lift a large silver suitcase, his expression clearly startled at its weight, and she hurried forward. “Oh, that’s mine!”

The man glanced up at her, then rubbed his forehead with his hand. “Man, this thing is heavy. What do you have in here, bricks?”

It should be heavy, it holds the equivalent of a tank in firepower. Instead, she spoke, “N-no, just some tools and things.” Okay, so perhaps not her entire life was in her backpack. The shields weren’t THAT heavy, but even so, she didn’t feel like carrying them around on her arms all the time.

She extended the suitcase handle and turned towards the Academy, taking a deep breath. Well, here goes. Wish me luck, Mamma.

As she stepped forward, she bumped into the shoulder of a young man with dark blonde hair. "Oh! S-sorry! I-I didn't mean to hit you," she stuttered as she took several hurried steps away from him, blushing furiously.

Liam Yugure - Beacon Courtyard - Monday Morning
@Bigg Slamm
Intrigued about Renjis past, he wondered if peace was an actual thing people enjoyed in the world of Revenant. He continued to listen, and pictured Renjis home in his mind. It sounded peaceful, beautiful and serene. I'll have to visit this place should i get the oppurtunity...

When he was asked about his home he laughed a bit, Liam only visited cities when he was with his father on business trips.
"No I never properly lived in a city, only visited them. My father owns a large portion of land where his mansion, my old home, stood at least three stories high. But out of all the space i only found him in his study thats it. But enough about him. feeling a tad homesick, missing the maids and butlers of his home more than his father he quickly changed the subject.
"So what brought you to beacon, if i may ask?"[/color. He knew that everyone had his reasons, but that wasn't going to stop his journey, nothing will.

Orlan Price - Beacon Academy Courtyard - Monday Morning
@Thundercrash

Orlan eventually replaced the sketchbook in his pocket, pushing himself to his feet with a deep sigh. He certainly didn't want to put forth the effort to force an interaction with someone, and nobody looked interested in meeting him anyway. I'll just grab my bag and find someplace a little more out of the way, I think...

He had only just slung said bag, containing only one change of clothes, his toolbag, and a few small personal items, over his shoulder before an impact from behind caused him to shuffle forward a step. Hand unconciously going to his hip above Axios, Orlan turned to regard the offending stranger. Mild confusion lit his face for a moment as his gaze fell on the girl backing away from him and her excess of clothing.

"The fault is not wholly yours, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going either," Orlan finally says after a long pause and brief shrug, his hand falling away from his weapon. "Are you... cold?" he then asks, that being the only conclusion he can come up with for such attire.

Heather Di Mint - Vale docks - Monday morning

"Great job Di, you came off EXACTLY how you did last year... awesome" All Heather did in response to Paris's greeting was nod, before Rust sauntered up to the group, a member of team FRST. Heathher giggled lightly at the clearly tired Rust as he greeted them... before immediately falling onto the docks, pulling out his pillow and taking a nap. Heather wasn't really bothered by Rust's nickname for her, she knew it wasn't anything mean, he just enjoyed fluffy things... the number of times he surprised her with hugs last year had largerly prepared her for that, so she just smiled shyly. of course she couldn't help but slide ever so slightly behind Paris in case he tried to hug her anyway. Yami on the othe hand made the young faunus jump.

Heather, depite not being an animal, still had some quirks of wildlife, one of which was her very easily startled nature. Yami, who she could never hear coming, was the most common source of Heather being startled. She let out a little squeak upon hearing him speak, hopping in front of Paris in surprise. She sighed when she realised it was Yami, and her face turned red with blush, "Great, now you've embarassed yourself again... alright calm down, its fine, now you can start putting your plan into actton!... please work" after her little surprise, Heather moved next to Yami and gave a sort of crooked smile up at him before responding to Paris, her face still red from emarrasment, "Well... my um... I'm fine." after giving her answer she'd wait to hear Yami's before asking him, "So... um... how was your break... Yami?" not usually the starter of any conversation, it was a bit odd for her to ask someone, even on her team, a question that could start a conversation.

Yuna Bolt - Monday Morning - Beacon Courtyard
@Invariance Of C

"Oh this?"

Yuna responded as she stood up from her place on the bench. Patting her skirt a bit to make sure it all fell into place she reached over to side and started to draw her weapon. At first it looked like she was drawing a sword of pitch black but it quickly started to morph into a scythe. Yuna left the end of the handle furthest from the blade thrust into the ground as the end closest to the blade leaned against her right shoulder.

The weapon was as tall as she was and with the blade it was wider then her. You would swear that there is a black hole open right beside Yuna if it was not for the purple flame like aura coming off the weapon.

"This.." Yuna could not help but giggle a little bit "... is Midnight Shadow"

After a few moments have having different thoughts racing through Yunas mind of how she hoped he liked her weapon as much as she did, hoping he liked her in general she noticed the two weapons hanging from his sides. Leaning in while keeping herself balanced with the size and weight of her scythe she asked this boy a question.

"How about yours! It looks like they might be cool! She said with a tone of excitement. "Wait! How rude of me! My name is Yuna, Yuna Bolt by the way! She gave him a smile.

"Oh this?"

Tams jaw dropped as the girl drew what looked like a sword but quickly transformed into a giant scythe lit by purple fire.

"This.." She giggled and he found himself grinning at her obvious delight"... is Midnight Shadow"

He nodded along in approval, it was a good name.

"How about yours! It looks like they might be cool! "Wait! How rude of me! My name is Yuna, Yuna Bolt by the way!

"Yuna" He said slowly feeling it out as it flowed off his tongue, he liked it. "Well these." He drew one of his swords and lifted it horizontally being careful not to swing it near anybody. "are Ignis Gemina" He continued in a conspiratorial whisper "I was feeling very pretentious when I named them."
He raised an eyebrow for dramatic effect and focused his semblance. The blade burst into vibrant blue flames.

"It has another function but.." He ran his free hand through his hair as he recalled the last time he had tried the other function out, the incident involving the tree and the fire brigade, blood suffused his cheeks as he blushed. "Well I havn't quite mastered it yet."

Renji Yamada - Beacon Courtyard - Monaday Morning
@jman221

Renji smiled when Liam mentioned he would like to visit Renji's home. "You should. You'd be welcomed with open arms. You'd think with all the people we care for we'd be sick of visitors. It's quite on the contrary. The more the merrier. It brings us news of the outside world as well as an opportunity to teach about our own lifestyle." Renji explained with a warm tone. He was enjoying meeting new people and possibly making friends. Sure he considered his fellow monk's friends, but they were more brothers and sisters. He also looked forward to making new friends soon with his team. A small dissapointed smile crept across Renji's face when Liam mentioned he didn't live in the city. He stifled a wince when Liam mentioned his father again, but thankfully he changed the subject once again.

"A retired huntress was traveling through Mistral and happened upon the monestary. I was sparring with a friend and she was watching. She sounded like my father speaking about my potential and she recommended enrolling. She also spoke about how the Grimm attacks were increasing and more and more people were getting hurt. It reminded me of all the pain and suffering I saw in the refugees we cared for. So it's simple. I'm on a mission of peace and purpose." He said before taking off his straw hat revealing the ancient texts tattooed on his scalp. Bowing his head slightly his voice slipped in his stately tone as he spoke of the text. "We are taught each man has a purpose and if he finds his purpose he will pass into Serenity. I believe it is my purpose to protect not only my home from Grimm, but all of Remnant. The only way I can acheive this purpose is Beacon. That is why I am here." He said replacing his hat upon his head after muttering a short mantra. As easily as he slipped into it he was out of his serious tone and back to his friendly smiling self. Cocking his head to Liam he asked, "What about you?"

Yuna Bolt - Monday Morning - Beacon Courtyard
@Invariance Of C

"Oooohhhh! Pretty!" Yuna said partially under her breath as she started to lean in towards the flames with a finger out to poke it. "Plus practice makes perfect!"

Yuna continued as she made eye contact with Tam. Before she could get too close to Tams weapon she lost her balance and fell flat on her face, her weapon clanged to the ground near her.

After a few moments in shock and disbelief she jumped to her feet, ran over to pick up her weapon, and ran back to Tam. Yuna bowed low and apologized for her falling. Yuna then in one fluent motion swung her scythe out into an open area giving it room to transform back into its holstered state.

Yuna pulled out her Scroll to check the time

"I wonder how much longer till we are going to start?" She asked as she looked back to Tam

Carlin Havel - Monday Morning - Vale Docs

@agentmanatee@Katakon@Dawkins
"SORRY" yelled a young woman and she slide under neath a pair of dock workers moving a heavy load "EXCUSE ME" she shouted as she jumped over a mans dog as they took their morning walk, her long silver hair catching the suns rays as she did. "pardon-pardon-pardon-pardon" she squeaked out in rapid succession as she weaved her way through a crowd of disembarking passengers from a recently landed ship, dressed in one of the trendy looking battle outfits that many young huntresses in training tended to prefer offering her the mobility to do so quite easily, though she did have to because about the staff that was nearly as tall as she was. Once free of the crowds she stopped for a moment to catch her breath, leaning over and supporting her weight on her staff. "God I hope i'm not to late..." she mumbled, between breaths. She looked up to see in the distance the familiar silhouette and color schemes of her fellow members of team PYCH. She smiled to herself, okay, not to much farther to run now. She up-righted her self and began to final running approach to the meeting location.

Why was she late you may ask? Well funny story...

As always, Carlins break had been far less pleasant than one would hope. Her and her family always fought like cats and dogs but this time it had been especially bad. After the first few days of the break, the rest of her time at home had essentially turned into an extended practice of stealth tactics to avoid them. On the one hand their estate was large enough to have plenty of places to hide away at, on the other hand Carlin was certainly. She had been so consumed with avoiding them for the rest of he stay, even leaving in the with out announcing herself. It had all been rather business as usually until they started to spend any chance they could to sit her down and give her a some apparently big important speech about 'life, family, duty, ect.' Carlin of course always saw fit to interrupt them just as they were getting started. Apparently they had some sore of big important thing to tell her given how persistent they were about getting her to hear this speech. Probably some nonsense to do with the family corporation again no doubt. Why had she been born into a family of such no-fun, cold hearted , arrogant, no it alls.

Anywho, long story short she spent so much time avoiding her parents in the back half of the break that she missed the mail sent out by the team leader about the meeting place and mission and all that. It wasn't until she was standing about confused on campus this morning wondering where he team mates where when a teacher informed her where she was meant to be. So, hence the being late and running her buns off.

She soon came into ear shot of her friend and began to wave her staff in greeting calling out "HEY! GOOD MORNING" as she half skidded to a stop before her comrades in arms. It was good to see them again, and the joy she felt was reflected as the flowers on her head band all bloomed at once into brilliant golden hues. It had been an interesting first year, half the team being from noble background and having the sort of personality that could power a city block, while the other two were a bit less sure of themselves or out going. Not to say the pair of them weren't as capable of any hunters or huntresses in training that Carlin had ever met. Some people just have trouble having the confidence that reflects their skills. In a way she admired their courage, despite their more reserved natures they were still willing to train and learn to fight big nasty beasties. It spoke well of the true nature of them hearts, even if they had trouble recognizing or expressing it themselves. Despite what had been a stumbling start their first year she was confident they had grown into quite the team, and good friends to boot.

"Sorry I'm late guys, missed the message about...what all is going on right now. Hope I didn't hold every one up."
