| HISTORY: || SUPPORTING CAST: |Rachel Dodds: Simon's best friend, this 14-year-old girl is wise beyond her years and extraordinarily brave. Her insights and compassion have helped keep Simon grounded in his fight to defend the Village, and she has been lauded as the group's unifying member.
Jason Bard: A war veteran and former GCPD detective. The only difference between the two is a God-load of sand. Currently a private investigator in Gotham, Bard is noted for his exceptional investigative skills and infallible integrity. As an ally, Simon goes to Bard concerning any peculiar clientele or cases sent his way, and has been accompanied by the former soldier on many patrols that require deductive work. Bard also tutors Simon in the art of detective work, and tends to be the young guardian's outlet when it comes to dealing with the horrors lying in the shadows of Gotham.
Dr. Szandor Tarr: Hungarian mad-scientist and gifted biochemist, Tarr acts as the GCPD's pathologist and Simon's secret informant. Tarr not only informs Simon of unique and "strange" cases, but also acts as his sometime-analyst, lending forensic expertise to Simon's role as "Mayor" of Gotham. Eccentric and deadpan, Szandor Tarr stands as the brains to Jason Bard's brawn.
Louise Hastings: Part-time voodoo priestess, exorcist, and Professor of Folklore & Religion, Hastings acts as Simon's mentor in the world of the supernatural and occult studies. She teaches him how to maneuver deals with demonic entities, conduct mystical rituals, and defeat many supernatural entities. Hardened by her years fighting monsters, both mortal and immortal, Louise is a warrior scholar of the highest caliber. She has a grandson, Jinx, whom she hides from the darker parts of the world.
Chthon: An Elder God, and the entity attempting to be summoned by the Enclave. Older than human civilisation, Chthon is currently locked away within The Void, the space between The Abyss and Earth. Despite this, his influence reaches through to the world via the Darkhold, an indestructible tome formed by Chthon's very flesh. The Darkhold is currently hidden, locked away by Simon in an attempt to subdue its power.
"The Enclave": A shadowy group of scientists and intellectuals whose sole purpose is to enact a global benevolent dictatorship. They undertake this mission through various means, including experimental science and forbidden magic, as well as political influence and dark deals. Dr. Jerome Hamilton, a prominent member, was Simon's creator, and others include Theodore Goodrich and Morris Morlak, a successful businessman and nuclear physicist, among others. Simon's interference with their plan to summon Chthon has earned him a status as one of the cabal's most prominent enemies.
