Akira is very joyful and always seems to be quite happy around others. She is however scared to approach others. So she doesn’t have much friends but when she is a little closer to someone she tends to hang out with them more instead of others she doesn’t know well yet. She is very flirty and has a perverted way of thinking but is generally a very nice girl and does get embarrassed about certain things.

[BACKSTORY]

[QUIRK]
A free soul - She is able to separate her soul from her body. When she does her body will fall into a deep sleep and be in a sort of standby mode. Her soul appears like a ghost version of herself that everyone is able to see. She can possess objects and or humans as long as they don't resist. She can go to any wall and fly around just like any ghost can.

[SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES]
Possession - She can possess objects that her quirk can handle at the moment so as she progresses she will be able to possess bigger objects. She can also possess human beings. Animals are easier to possess then humans. Humans are harder to possess and will mostly only work when they don't mind to be possessed. When she is able to possess a human their eye color will change towards hers. She can also sub possess someone which means she just sits in their body and talk to their mind.
Intangibility - She can't be touched in her ghost form.
Telekinesis - She can let objects float from a short distance.

[LIMITS]
Vulnerable - She can't control her own body when she is in ghost form so anyone would be able to do something to her.
Untouchable - Apart from possessing objects she can't touch anyone and they can't touch her either.

@liferusherI'm going to have to say no to Molecular Manipulation, sorry, as that's far too generalized and potentially overpowered an ability. Also, we already have a teleporter character.

@KrayzikkYes, the school is in Japan, although I haven't really decided where geographically. Probably somewhere near Tokyo or something since it's divided into so many sub-cities.

@liferusherNo one's really gone with the "pure elemental" abilities like fire, water, wind, electricity, etc yet (although we do have a couple of "stone" themed characters now so earth might not be a good choice). You could also use the Superpower Wiki and just browse or hit the Random Page button until you found something you liked. Are there any specific themes or ideas that you wanted your character to be able to do with the Molecular Manipulation that could be whittled down to a more specific power?

@KrayzikkUnfortunately, we already have a speedster with a focus on acceleration and many of the same control issues. I'm trying to prevent as much overlap between powers as possible, but I know that with so many characters already that's going to get hard to do. Nonetheless, I personally think this is a little too similar.

I analyzed the two CSes in question and I think that they are actually very different. Here's my general analysis:

1. The general weakness Matsuri deals with is the stop. She has listed limits of durability, turning and environment (the general is moving faster and is harder to react limitation) whereas Kazu’s are: Speed limit (she can only go as fast as she can safely move without hurting herself), Breakdown – her muscles and bones with fracture and tear the more she uses her quirk, durability, and her inability to control how fast she is going when dropping her weights.

2. Breakdown of differences: One of Kazu’s strengths is actually one of Matsuri’s weaknesses. Kazu is able to process stimuli far faster than non-speedsters where this is one of Matsuri’s largest weaknesses.

3. Kazu uses weights for extreme resistance when she is running and a way to ‘break her limit’ by taking them off. This is a key difference to how Matsuri functions mainly due to the fact that Matsuri is more focused on a burst of speed whereas Kazu is focused on maintaining a slower more constant speed, thus the need to process stimuli faster and weight to keep her going slower (on a super speed level of course).

4. Matsuri’s techniques mainly revolve around using her quirk in order to perform a superhuman attack. This is very different from any of Kazu’s skills in which she typically speaking uses normal movements that are greatly enhanced because she is moving at super speed. Kazu also has fewer named moves and is more focused, once more, on her consistency as a speedster instead of a one powerful shot archetype that Matsuri clearly falls under.

5. Both go into great detail about how their quirk can get them into trouble, however Matsuri seems to be unable to be ripped apart simply by her own speed and strength. Whereas this is a constant wall that Kazu has in front of her. This may not seem important, but it allows them to write how they are using their abilities very differently, it also allows them to specify in complete different strengths and overall have very varied writing.

All in all, while yes they are both speedsters – the way they use their abilities are completely different, as are 95% of their strengths, weaknesses, skills and techniques. I’d argue they’re very different under analysis as too will be their writing in application. Personally, I know we're getting a ton of applications so I think two very different uses of super speed isn't the worst offence, given the fact that it's such an incredibly popular power/quirk and I would hate for either writer to have to go back and edit their entire CS.

@Plank SinatraI'm a little wary of any time manipulation powers, but absolutely awestruck by how creative this is. I think I'm going to allow it, although might I suggest maybe adding a limit or two to it? As it is the one he has is a pretty big one, but since it's a time manipulation power I just wanna be on the safe side, you know? But I think as long as he's basically a support of sorts, speeding up allies and slowing down enemies, it will probably be fine.

@WriteHmm, you make some good points. Alright then, I'll allow it, @Krayzikk, if no one has any other objections. And within her limits, let's say that the speed that she can safely run at is 65 kmh (about 40 miles per hour), with her yellow, orange, and red areas being 2-4 times that.

Everyone, I hope that huge-ass post wasn't too much for you. If you need a TL;DR, basically all the teachers collected their homeroom students--the four classes--and are giving them a tour of the school for the benefit of the Freshmen and any newcomers. This is the time to ask questions of the teachers, interact with and get to know each other some more, and for the Juniors, to do their Quirk Assessment at their own pace. I'll let you guys decide how well you do in each event, and once the juniors are finished the other classes can move in.

If you haven't finished a character or posted yet, it's fine with me if you retroactively write yourself into the previous bits and pieces, since we don't want to leave anyone behind.

Freshmen - Tatsumi, Nina, Matsuri, Daisuke, Luca
Sophomores - Sou, Yasu, Ayah, Kosoku
Juniors - Tonaka, Namari, Mine, Dirk

Of course, this only includes one of the just-recently-accepted characters, Nina. For those that are just getting characters up, there's a year margin with the classes so feel free to pick between the two classes that match your character's age.
