Lyndsay White

Lyndsay watched Cam rise from his chair and head towards Keller's office. She pressed a kiss to his cheek as he moved past her, opening her mouth to tell him to be as long as he wanted with the doctor, but she was interrupted by a blaring breaking news tune on the TV. As the headline flashed across the screen, she shook her head, and pressed a hand against the small of Cam's back, pushing him a little towards the door of the office. "Don't worry about it, probably more lies, just go on through." She gave him a re-assuring smile and pushed him a little again, feeling his reluctance before he finally allowed her to press him forward, closing the door between them.

Lyndsay turned her attention back to the TV, frowning at the screen as it flashed images of her block. There had been reporters and news crews swarming around the apartment blocks when they left, trying to get statements, snapping photos. Lyndsay and Cam had just ignored them, but she couldn't help getting irritated. The revelation that Danica had been related to their apartment's previous tenant seemed too much of a coincidence to not be connected, but Lyndsay wanted to keep out of it, it was too creepy to feel connected to all the murders. She stretched up to push the power button of the TV to the off position, settling herself down in the quiet waiting room.

Mali didn't mind taking public transportation. Really, she didn't. Sure the internal temperature swung on a pendulum from "Thanksgiving Oven" in the summers to the Arctic Circle in the winter (but returned to Thanksgiving Oven when the heaters are turned on), the seats might be cracked and worn, it might smell kinda funky, the suspension had a habit of making passengers go airborne and the people on it might often be obnoxious, blaring music from their radio right behind Mali when there's such a thing as headphones that little adolescent fuckwit.

But it wasn't that bad. In fact, it could be considered part of the unorthodox charm of riding the bus. After all, basically everyone here was in the same boat, not having a vehicle of their own to drive wherever the hell they need to go. In a way, the bus is the meeting place of the common people, and that was kinda cool and interesting. Well, it would be if one of those common people would turn down their radio below 100 decibels. The bus wasn't that loud, goddamn.

Oh yeah, apparently Danica was Peyton's sister or something. That was fine, Mali guessed. If you're into that kind of stuff. She might have been more interested in this tidbit if she was invested in the suicide case, or if it hadn't come from such an annoying source. Your radio is so loud that the speakers are rattling! Do you not even care about audio quality, kid? But Mali would rather forget about the whole ordeal and move on, but something told her that she wasn't going to hear the end of this ordeal. In an effort to distract herself from the future hearing loss going on behind her, she entered the business card's number in her contacts list. It's pretty hard to get something going for an emergency if you had to dig out a card and copy it to get to the "Emergency Company" or whatever it was called. Suddenly the radio volume spiked even louder than it had been as it blared some manufactured single from the newest factory line boy band, causing most of the bus to whinge, Mali included. Deep down she wished she could turn around and throttle the kid. Nobody would protest it.

Location: Parking Lot near Pier 23
Current Outfit: Clothing

Lana had hopped on her bike as soon as the conversation on the phone with Lawson was over. She figured she'd get there in no time but unfortunately she managed to get caught behind a jackass with an attitude problem and had to do her best not to slash every one of his tyres as he berated her for darting between cars on her motorbike. There was always one asshole and unfortunately they got Lana on a bad day. She took note of his face, car and licence plate before peeling away. She'd visit him later and give him a lesson in manners.

Finally making her way to the parking lot on the pier she spotted another bike parked up and a truck that had two very familiar men standing beside it. Lana parked up across the lot from where they were and hopped off her bike. She took her helmet off and let her hair fall down around her shoulders, a few stray strands blowing across her face as she put her helmet away and grabbed a pair of sunglasses out of the storage box of her bike and slipped them on. She wasn't keen on interrupting the giant Mexican Bulldozer but she did need to speak to Lawson. Figuring it'd look more suspect to stand around and wait, Lana walked towards the two men that towered over her.

"Hey Sugar Crotch! You cheating on me? Tsk tsk. I don't think I can compete with that hair. Whatever is a girl to do?" Lana grinned and wiggled her eyebrows while she shimmied her shoulders at Lawson and smiled at Caesar. Sure the man was intimidating but she'd seen him with his girls and she knew he was a soft touch really. Well, so long as you didn't give him reason to be harsh.

Lorna Dunn

Location: Queensguard Industries RnD Industrial Complex - The Diamond District

Hearing Alicia, Lorna sent a swift punch towards her shoulder and rolled her eyes at her friend. She was such a wind up merchant that Lorna was amazed that they hadn't come to blows over anything for real over all these years but then she remembered that she could give as good as she took and began to smirk. It's just what sisters did. She began to think of her brother and figured she'd need to give him a call tonight. It had been too long since they'd spoken.

The news story on the radio caused Lorna to frown some as she listened. So the two apparent suicides in the past year had been related by blood? That was... disconcerting. She half expected the radio to say that Lyle, the lawyer that lived with Lana in their building, was their cousin or some other such bullshit. She was grateful when Alicia turned the radio off but her mind was still moving through the motions of the information. There was clearly more to the goings on of Boston Heights than was apparent and Lorna was growing more and more curious. However, first things first, they had work to do today. The rest could be thought about later tonight.

As they pulled up to the gate, Lorna winced as the guy only checked their IDs and she sighed a little as the car was placed into park. She climbed out of the car as Alicia gave the current gate guard an earful and she gave a simple nod and "Got it, boss" as she made her way into the gate control box. She knew her words would make Alicia either laugh or growl since they were pretty much of the same level but she always gave the "boss's daughter" the extra respect when she was tearing someone a new asshole.

Finding the gate guard, Lorna folded her arms across her chest and leaned against the door frame. "What's up sweet cheeks? Listen, your pal outside has been given the ol' heave-ho so that means your work day just got a little bit busier. Don't worry though! You're not fired. Yet." Lorna's face split into a grin as she let the words sink in before continuing on. "So long as you check IDs, storage space and do your fuckin' job, you'll be a-okay. Understood?"

"Y-yes ma'am." The older gentleman, he looked about fifteen years older than herself, gulped as he gave a shaky and uncertain salute towards Lorna before straightening himself up and looking more alert than before.

"Good to hear. We'll get someone out to replace your friend but until such times as this happens, the first point of security on this place is on your shoulders. Do not let me down. I won't be happy if you let me down. Dismissed." She pushed herself off of the door frame and made her way back outside. She walked over to Alicia and gave a nod. "Taken care of." She stood at attention, waiting for the next order. She half expected this guy to put up a fight and she was waiting for it, ready as always.

Date: Saturday May 13th, 2017

The city is in full swing for a Saturday and it is a little past noon now. Between the repeated reports of what happened with Danica the night before and Lyle's body that morning new reports are coming in of a traffic jam that has been a problem the last hour or two in the city. Seemed there was a fender bender right at one of the main intersections but it is being cleared out. Police are directing traffic and things are moving currently, just at a slower pace than one would normally like, but hey that is Justice. Either people are dropping one right after the other or traffic is so backed up no one can get anywhere to kill anyone. I guess depending on who you are, depends on which is the lesser of two evils.

@DizzyIsabella @Xtreme - Cam is in the doctors office and it might take a while. It is around lunch time and you know of a little bistro just two doors down from the doctors office that you could grab a quick bite to eat at, or even just get something to go and bring it back for the both of you to take on a picnic later. They do wonderful little baskets for couples and have a great wine selection to go along with their menu. Could be the perfect thing to calm nerves after everything that has been happening the last eighteen hours or so.

@Dragoknighte @Nallore - Traffic is starting to let up, seemed there was a fender bend a few blocks up that was causing all the problems. Police have made it out finally, and are directing traffic now. Both of you should be on your way and headed to your destinations without much of an issue right now. It will still take a while to get where you are going, grid lock doesn't clear up right away. The guy on the bus is still blaring his radio and it is obvious that everyone is getting pretty annoyed, especially when he starts singing along and dancing in the isle. Riley, you are ready to hang a right down the street when the light changes and you have to stop, suddenly a homeless man that looks to be in his thirty's rushes out and sprays your windshield with light blue liquid and starts cleaning it with a dirty rag. Hope you have some spare change in the dashboard.

@Pundii - Noelle comes into the room carrying a cup of coffee and holding it out to you. "I didn't know how you took it so I went with the standard two sugar and a little bit of milk," she said trying to force a smile and play the good hostess. Taking a breath she glanced around the room and shook her head. "I don't know what to think anymore. Dad is missing, Peyton is dead, now the house was broken into. And did you hear about that girl Danica? Peytons sister? Committed suicide? It is all just so weird," she said before wrapping her arms around herself and rubbing them gently as if she was trying to push away a chill that ran down her back. There isn't much else to find at this point, at least nothing that is grabbing your attention.

@Scallop - Cops are there, switching off shifts. One of them noticing that you are moving in and such. The man comes over, tailing you a bit before clearing his throat and approaching you fully. "New to the place?" he asked and just exchanges small talk. Seems like he is bored right then, having spent most of the night keeping an eye out on Danica's apartment before his replacement came. Now that they are in place he is waiting on his partner to finish up directing traffic down town before heading over to Boston Heights to pick him up so he can actually go home. Might be able to find out what happened last night, maybe not. Will have to ask to find out.

@Morose @POOHEAD189 Roy sighed as he was told the gun was missing, of course the gun was missing. It just had to be missing, this couldn't have been easy. Shaking his head he rubbed the back of his neck and nodded a bit towards Cecily as she mentioned the security team from last night that had been there. Hopefully they would remember something because it was obvious that they couldn't look at the gun itself anymore. Stopping he looked over towards Cecily and cocked a brow. "Hey, didn't I see you taking pictures last night before I headed up to the roof? Do you have one of the gun before Wallace bagged it?

Risa Couri

Location: The U.N.

Risa smiled over towards Lucas and shrugged a bit as she reached over and rested her hand on his thigh as he drove slowly through the streets of Justice. Normally she would get frustrated with being stuck in any sort of traffic but right then she really didn't care. Just meant longer with Lucas before she had to deal with the folks over at the U.N. "Hopefully the U.N. won't take long and then we can check things out and maybe get a bite to eat," she said as she leaned back in her seat and brushed her hair back out of her face.

The drive took longer than anyone would have liked and by the time they reached the U.N. it was already lunch time. Once Lucas had parked she got out of the car and shouldered her purse as she waited for him to join her. Reaching out and lacing her arm through his as they made their way up the long short steps that were lined with the various flags of the nations that were members of the U.N. Even though it was the weekend there were still people bustling in and out of the building. Didn't matter that it was Saturday, politics never had a day off.

"Can I help you?" the security guard asked as the two stepped up to the reception desk. Risa smiled softly as she rested her purse on the counter and pulled out her ID's.

"I am Risa Couri, new Senior Linguistics Coordinator in from Geneva," she said as the man checked her ID and the list.

"Ahh, yes, they are expecting you Miss Couri, human resources is down the hall, hand a left at the end and go to the end. Can't miss it. They are also expecting you upstairs. Floor Twelve, room 1263 for a quick briefing," the man explained as he finished looked over Risa's identification and handed it back over to her. Lifting a brow he looked over towards Lucas.

"And you are?"

Dj Lawson

Location: Pier 23

Lawson picked at the bed of his nails as he waited for Lana to arrive and gave an odd looked over towards the Mexican as he heard him pull up. This was not what he was expecting and the fact that the old man was down at the docks made him wonder just what he was doing there. As far as he knew, this was his part of town, not a place where security folk or police liked to come. Taking a breath he tipped his hat to the man politely as he stood up straight instead of leaning against the truck any longer.

"Afternoon sir. Just be waiting on a friend that needed to talk is all. What you be doing all the ways down here? You don't looks like you be wanting to go fishing off one of them piers. Granted if ya are, I would suggest against it, ain't the cleanest waters to be going for trout," he said in a respectful voice.

He smiled slightly and looked over as he heard Lana's voice. This was either really good that she was showing up or really bad considering he had just asked out Lorna for a date that evening and now Lana was mentioning the whole cheating thing. Hopefully the Mexican wouldn't take it the wrong way and end up fitting him with a pair of cement shoes.

"Aww, nothing like that darling. Just sayin' hi is all. How are you doin' girl? I head the news story about yer roomie. You alright darlin?"

Alicia Gonzalez

Location: Queensguard Industries RnD Industrial Complex - The Diamond District

While Lorna was taking care of one, Alicia toss the other off the grounds after taking his ID and weapon. She wasn't putting up with anything. Slipping back into the car she waited to see what the other man would do. He did his job, coming over, checking ID's again, checking the car, checking for weapons. Granted with the stuff they had on them it was okay since they were taking over security but at least the man checked. Waiting for Lorna to climb back in and the gate to rise before driving onto the property itself and pulling up to the front.

Turning the car off she got out and gathered her things, leaving the trunk open for Lorna to get whatever she wanted or needed out of the back before locking everything up. "Well, time to get to work," she said as they made their way up the stairs and into the building proper. They were greeted by a couple of people that looked like lab techs. Alicia grumbled under her breath, she wanted to talk to actual people in charge, not some geek right then.

Shaking her head she looked over to Lorna and rolled her eyes a bit. "Okay, I am going to head up to Security Central and start updating the systems. I need you to do a perimeter check. All floors and subfloors. Want a list of blind spots, easy access points and so forth. You know the run down," she said as she pulled out their comms and handed one over to Lorna as she placed the other in her ear. "Stay alert, and armed. We don't know what will happen with the changing over of the guard. If I was going to do a break in, I would do it today."

Joseph 'Tank' Cooper

Tank looked around casually, or so it seemed. He scanned the office with an experienced eye, and sighed when Gregory said the the gun and phone were missing. Figures, he thought to himself. However, it seemed the universe decided to teas them a bit, and Cecily produced the phone miraculously. Tank smirked, and decided it was time to look over Peyton and Danica's files. He slid the folder out from under his arm and flipped it over.

He'd seen Danica's body up close and personal. Too bad, he thought to himself yet again when he remembered her broken body. Even the good looking ones are nothing but meat and bone when you get down to it. He sniffed a small laugh as his mind caught up with him. Funny how he might forget that even for a second. His entire life up to this point has been a constant reminder of how shitty and weak people are.

He checked the time, and let out a breath. He still wasn't late for his date just yet. He wouldn't be either. If he had a motorcycle handy and 15 minutes, he'd get anywhere in the city on time. Granted, he'd leave many civilians with near heart attacks, but it didn't bother him.

Back to business, since he was familiar with the 'suicide' of the late Danica, he decided to take a closer gander at Peyton's photos. The first one was a bloody mess, as were the next few. Despite the gore, he could tell there was a slight family resemblance between the two women. Suddenly the next photo after the meat grinder montage was the gun she had used. "Hellooo," he said out loud, and flipped the pic around for both Greg and Cecily to see.

"This is a complete long shot, but does this gun or model type bring back any memories?" he asked Cecily bluntly, one eyebrow cocked.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Coroner's Office

"I can't tell you whether or not you saw me, but I should have a photo of it, yeah," Cecily teased, pulling her phone out. The battery wasn't too low, but with all of the photographs and videos already uploaded, it wouldn't have mattered too much if it was thrown into Mordor. Quickly unlocking it, Cecily went into her camera, scrolling through the photographs of blood and gore until she got to one of the gun.

"Here," Cecily offered, handing it over to Roy. "I didn't have a marker for a size comparison...which is protocol, but you know, Wallace didn't care enough to do that before....Sorry," she blushed, a bit embarrassed as she started to go on a rant. She personally couldn't tell much from the gun, having no idea whether or not it was the most widely sold model or one of a kind. The only evidence she could gleam from it was gone--no fingerprints, no residue, no hair, no fibers. Nothing.

Well, except for the bullet that had killed Danica. That was something she could work with.

"Any idea what kind of gun this is? I just know that it's not a musket," Cecily asked awkwardly, zooming in on the photo as best as she could.

Glancing over at Cooper, she frowned a bit, before recognizing the files. Peyton and Danica's files. He thumbed through them, before pulling out a photograph of a gun--the one Peyton had supposedly used to kill herself. Cecily bit her lip slightly, holding the photograph from her phone next to Cooper's. She sighed a bit, unable to tell if they were made by the same manufacturer. It wasn't like spotting the difference between Hermione and Dumbledore's wands.

"Maybe they're similar models?" Cecily asked, entirely clueless. "I can't tell myself...Guns aren't exactly my area of expertise."

That, of course, was poisons.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Stuck in Traffic

Riley was leaning in the driver's seat as she was playing on her phone, she was bored enough to start playing a little bit of Candy Crush, Riley would occasionally steal a glance towards the bus that was next to her she could see some guy standing there and dancing she couldn't help but smile at the sight of it. Riley would slowly start to move forward as she turned on the radio and listened to the stories that were playing, and then there was the reason why things have suddenly slowed down due to a fender-bender. She was certainly eager to just try and get back to her apartment as soon as possible. The moment there was a clearing Riley looked in the side view mirror as well as the back, and flipped her right turn signal and turned right.

As soon as she made it out she looked up at the light that was already yellow and then suddenly it turned red causing Riley to make a complete stop. Riley suddenly jumped when a homeless man came up and sprayed her window with some kind of cleaner. "God damn.." she was scared slightly and bit her lip for a moment remembering a point where she was just living in her car and playing random gigs to make some kind of money. Riley awkwardly dug into her wallet and pulled out a 50$ bill and rolled down her window just enough to stick her hand out.

She certainly did feel bad for the man, but Riley wouldn't let anyone get closer enough then that she didn't know the man that well. "Here, that should give you a few meals." Riley said with a soft smile, the moment he took the money Riley quickly rolled up her window and made sure that everything was locked living in Justice kind of made you paranoid since the whole city is one big crime warzone.

Caesar Gonzalez

Location: Dockside Parking

Smoker-Boy was forthcoming, even polite. The problem was, the conversation (short though it was) led the younger gentleman to ask a direct question about his presence. If he had just let the man wonder, in his usual, stoic manner, he'd likely not have an opportunity to ask properly until after the situation was over. Unfortunately, in an attempt to seem nonchalant, Caesar engaged him in conversation that directly inquired as to DJ's presence, prompting a reciprocal query.

Caesar had to answer, or look more suspicious than he obviously already did. Seeing as he wasn't an immense fan of lying this early in the game, he didn't. "Storage. Close to the docks." he began, lowering the pitch of his voice somewhat. "An expanding Private Security firm might want a waterfront staging point. Recommend anyone?"

It wasn't a lie. It wasn't exactly the reason for his presence, but he was actually looking for a storage unit. And the expansion of his business could make use of waterfront space. The two facts were mostly unrelated, but it was an honest expression of his intent; one that would present itself naturally. He already had the name of the place he wanted to visit. All he needed today was an excuse to do a cursory walkaround, see what he could see. Who he was and what he represented was cover enough for his activities, at least on the surface.

Then another neighbor pulled up. The Russian girl with a thing for tight, synthetic clothing, so far as he could tell. This was getting odder. In an attempt to keep a casual feel to the conversation but still wrap it up soon, he quipped back to her, "Don't worry. I might have the pelo bonito, but there's no way I could fill out those pants, chica." He gave a wink and sideways smile that was part masculine and part unsettling.

The Russian girl was easy on the eyes, no doubt about it. While the elder Mexican had little issue approaching much younger women, the circumstances of this unscheduled meeting (and suspicions flying about) limited his prowling to the above three seconds of his best impression of Super Creepy Rob Lowe. Caesar had someplace to be. "Nice bike. Electric?"

Felix Hausten

Location: The Block

Interesting. Interesting of such a bustling place that one lone figure would take the time out of his busy day to approach Felix. He stood there with an interested smile as he observed the man stepping towards him and cheerfully let out a hand to shake the others. Felix, and yes of course, just arrived this very minute!" He seemed happy enough to ineract with the cop, trying to show good faith in the law and order in this city even though he had heard many horror stories of their blunders, hence why he was currently present.

After the kind-hearted shake and the exchange of small talk which made his stomach grumble, Felix realised the ample opporunity the universe had just presented to him on a silver platter. His fingers ran through his hair casually as he waited for the cop to be ready to discuss things without being smacked in the face automatically which happened a lot with the cops in berlin. For some reason they were never this chatty. More than once Felix found himself being cursed from a crime scene or a police station or with his nose being bashed by the butt of a gun.

And here he was scared of the police in America. Scared he was going to be treated like a rat from another country was the last thing on his mind now as he watched the cop talk before nodding enthusiastically and decided to make his move. "So officer it came to my attention from the news but...have you caught the murderer yet? I've been hearing about it all the way here, it sounds awefully nerve wracking so I was wondering...anything left around, clues as such, my apologies I'm hardly experienced in these things, just looking for the facts is all!" He tried to tone down his accent for talking to this guy, didn't want any conflict arising because of his nationality.

As he awaited the man's reply he slipped his notebook further into his pocket, preparing his brain for keeping everything the cop said here inside. If he learned anything, it would be useful, even if it was lies. It would let him have a feel for the atmosphere he'd write about, and everyone loved a corrupt and dangerous cop story didn't they? Or perhaps that was only Felix.

Isn't it funny how when you don't have the time or inclination to be distracted, suddenly they're everywhere, but when you're desperately looking for something to do, all those wells of diversion seem to dry up? Mali looked through her phone and online for anything that could help take her mind off the irritation at her schedule being thrown out of whack, and the kid who sang off-key version of This Is What You Came For while he danced in the aisle during one of the bus' many traffic stops. It was astounding how badly one could fuck up singing a stretched out version of the word "You." An adolescent boy's vocal chords with constant cracks was not an acceptable complement to a 28 year old black woman's.

Part of the issue was that essentially anything involving audio was out of the question, unless she wanted to pop in some earbuds and hope that she could increase her future hearing loss even further. But she was pretty sure that her phone didn't go that loud. The thought crossed her mind to get off at the next possible stop, but knowing her luck today, that would probably be the kid's as well. Well, it seemed like the only thing she would be able to do for the time was grit her teeth and bare it. So that's what she would do.

Jeremy Bennet

Location: Noelle Morgan's Home

Turning toward the door, Jeremy offered Noelle a smile as she came into the room, reaching out to take the coffee from her as he waved his free hand idly in a 'don't worry about it' kind of motion. "I'm sure it's fine." He assured her, taking a sip of the coffee before giving her a nod, as if to confirm that it was indeed fine. Watching her gaze move about the room, he nodded, eyes following hers as he held his coffee, taking another slow drink. He had admittedly found less than he'd hoped at Noelle's home, there was still no real clue what had been stolen, it was something that was going to bother Jeremy, but he didn't want to be lingering about in Noelle's home all day and night searching.

As she finished speaking, Jeremy looked back over to her, forcing a half-smile. "Hey..." He took a step toward her, reaching out with his free hand and gently gripping her arm, rubbing his thumb against her in a reassuring manner as he looked down at her. "Everything's going to be fine, alright? You're safe here... And i'm going to find your dad." He said it to convince himself more than anything, but the words had just as much meaning for her as he kept his eyes locked onto her own. "I promise." He let that promise linger for a moment, sighing as he lowered his hand from her shoulder and took a much longer drink.

"I should probably stop disturbing you, you need rest..." He smiled, Jeremy didn't want to be a nuisance, even though he felt there was still more to learn from her home. "If you do find anything, maybe what was stolen... Or if you just want to talk, give me a call, alright?" He reached into his pocket, fishing out a small, blank business card with his phone number, handing it over to Noelle as he took a much longer drink of his coffee, finishing it off.

Lucas Walsh

Location: The U.N.

Lucas wasn't exactly pleased with the traffic but he wasn't kicking up as much of a fuss as he usually would. Lucas was generally the type to groan about traffic until it wasn't an issue, but with Risa there he could replace that with decent conversation and catching up. Though of course, he slipped in one or two complaints for good measure. "You say 'hopefully' - which makes me pretty sure it'll take forever." He smirked, leaning back in his seat as he kept one hand on the wheel.

Lucas let out a sigh of relief when they finally did get to the U.N., snagging a decent parking spot and climbing out of the car as he locked it. Taking in a big breath of fresh air, he turned back toward her. "Feels like i've been in Guantanamo for the past hour." He scoffed in self-amusement, moving around his car to her and walking alongside her up toward the entrance of the building. He'd been to the U.N. building in Geneva a few times, it was considerably more impressive than the one in Justice, but it still wasn't anything to scoff at.

As the got inside, he slowed his pace, tucking his hands into his pockets as Risa moved up to the desk, Lucas' gaze shifting about the interior as he took it in, pleased more than anything to just be on his feet instead of trapped in the car. His attention was drawn away from his surroundings however, as he heard the security guard speaking to him. Looking back down to him, Lucas smiled, speaking smugly and without hesitation. "King George the Sixth." He waited for what he gauged to be the appropriate look of disdain from the security guard before chuckling. "I'm her boyfriend, nothing fancy."

It is a little past lunch now and things traffic wise have cleared up. Granted, there is always traffic in Justice, it just comes with living in a big city but things are moving as well as can be expected. The day is a little hotter than most would like, unseasonably warm at this point and humid. The skies seem clear but if you have lived in the city longer than a week you know that might not last. Late afternoon thunderstorms are common this time of the year. Summer is starting soon after all. The heat, the humidity, the possibility of storms doesn't do anything to keep the crime of Justice at bay though. Which is becoming very apparent as the hours and minutes tick by.

@Dragoknighte - The kid on the bus, he is driving people nuts. That much is obvious and the looks people are shooting the guy are getting more and more aggravated. Some have voiced their want for him to shut that damn thing off but he doesn't listen and only turns up the volume that much more. One man has had enough. He gets up out of his seat, palms a glock in his hand and bashes the guy in the face, knocking him out cold and causing him to slump unconscious in his place. Reaching down he turns off the obnoxious noise before sitting down as if nothing even happened. The busy driver just keeps moving the vehicle forward in the traffic until he comes to the next stop. The man who knocked the other guy out stands up and hops off the bus; at your stop.

@Nallore - The guy takes the money and gives you a nearly toothless grin before running off and into the local package store. Doesn't matter, he is gone and your windows... well he did a shit job. But doesn't matter; keep driving. As you do, you see a strung out looking man hopping off a bus and heading down the street towards Boston Heights while shoving a glock into the back of his back before pulling his flannel shirt over it to hid it.

@Pundii - "I will, thank you," she said as she takes the card and took a look at it. Slipping it into her pocket she gave him a weak smile as he finished his coffee before showing him to the door. It was obvious that she had had more of her fill of people around her home right then. Outside things seem quiet, well as quiet as they can be for Justice. Might be a good idea to get wherever you are wanting to go rather quickly before it isn't so quiet.

@Scallop - The officer looks over towards you as if you are nuts. "It wasn't a murder, it was a suicide," he states before shaking his head. It was obvious even he didn't believe that but that was what he was told to say and he keeps repeating that, followed by the usual no comment after that. The news crews are starting to show up. It seems they want to know even more now that Lyle is dead. The barricades are still partly up, so that is keeping some back. The cop grumbles as he steps forward to keep them from entering the buildings.

@Morose @POOHEAD189 - Gregory glances at the files but didn't get a chance to say anything as his phone rings. Answering it he scowls deeply. "Listen, I already have two cases in my hand. Can't you all handle this one? You know the drill. I dunno, find that asshat Wallace and make him get to work, Cecily is busy right now," he spat into the phone before stopping in his pacing tracks and looking over to Cecily and Tank slowly. "Right... I got it... be there in twenty," he added before hanging up the phone and stepping over towards the two. "Well, I know where Wallace is..."

Risa Couri

Location: The U.N.

Risa had to bit the inside of her cheek to keep from laughing at Lucas's comment and the look he received from the security guard. The man eyed him for a minute before looking over at Risa, as if he was expecting some sort of an explanation. "Oh he's got a sharp tongue but he's harmless," she said as she shot Lucas a glance.

"Be that as it may, right now we are on tighter lock down. He will have to wait in the lobby," the man said and Risa nodded slowly before taking her things and turning towards Lucas. It was only her first day, she wasn't about to start manipulating people to get him inside just yet. She would wait until it was really needed, or when she really wanted to screw with someone. Whichever came first.

Walking over to the lobby area with him she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "I'll make this as quick as possible. I promise," she said before darting off. She knew how bureaucratic the U.N. could be but she also knew she could take care of things quickly if she pressed hard enough. She wasn't about to leave him alone waiting on her any longer than she had to. He had had to wait half the day yesterday on her during her flight delay.

Moving over and making her way passed security she headed down to the human resources department. Thankfully the woman stuck there was nice enough, older. She talked a good game, and helped Risa move through the paper work and needed image taking for ID's as quickly as possible. What had taken her hours after hours usually was done in a little less than sixty minutes. Coming out she had to make one more stop according to the security guard she had spoken with when she arrived but she waited since things had gone so quickly in human resources.

Rushing out she made her way over to the lobby area carrying a snack and a bottle of water in her hand. Smiling she walked over to Lucas, her heels clicking on the marbled tile as she did. "One part done, one to go. Figured you could use this just in case this takes longer than I would like," she said as she set them down on a table next to him. Leaning over she gave him a quick kiss, her new id hanging from around her neck before she had to go again.

Taking a breath she straightened out her outfit a bit, made a quick turn and a wink before darting off once again. She hoped things would go as smoothly as with human resources. She wanted to get out of there and enjoy the city, see the sights, check out a few things. Not be stuck inside a building all day. Granted, she wouldn't complain too much. Heat and humidity were hell on her hair.

Stepping into the elevator she hit the button for her floor and looked around, the music playing was the usual easy listening instrumental junk. Looking down at her watch she checked the time before the doors opened, taking a breath she stepped forward to make her way towards the room she had been told to go to. That was until the building suddenly shook and she slammed around the hallway wall and fell to the ground. Looking up suddenly she wondered if it was an earthquake but that sharp jolt didn't feel like any earthquake she had ever felt before. Coming outside of the underground parking deck for the U.N. building a flash of fire, smoke and debris came rushing out of the entrance.

Dj Lawson

Location: Pier 23

"I might be knowing a couple of folks. Will give them a call for ya Sir and let ya know," Lawson said in a kindly southern way as he nodded. He did know of a few people but they were probably not exactly the type of men that he thought that Caesar would want to willingly be around, but maybe they could tell him some people that were on the up and up. He doubted it but hey he was trying to get in good with Cookie and Cookie worked for Caesars daughter. Might as well make the effort.

He couldn't help but smirk a bit as he watched the old man go creepy with Lana. Just standing there and cupping his hand over his mouth. He couldn't fault the guy, Lana was a pretty well carved out piece of cream cheese in his mind and he doubted that she would have any problems dealing with Caesar.

Stepping over he looked at the bike, he never got peoples love of motorcycles. Couldn't put a dead in the back, so what was the point. It didn't seem that Lana was going to stick around though. He was handed a file, told he would be contacted later and the girl was gone. Lawson shook his head a bit confused. She had seemed so adamant about meeting up but he wasn't going to ask. She didn't hide the fact that she was handing a file over to Lawson right in front of Caesar so Lawson didn't think anything of it and curiosity got the better of him as he flipped open the file and took a look at it standing there next to the man.

"What had Marlestone gotten his self into?" he muttered to himself as he read over the file. This was not what he was expecting at all.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Coroner's Office

"Wait, here we go!" Cecily practically screeched, having spotted another photograph of the gun in her photo queue, just a few after this one. Flipping to it with her thumb frantically, the quality was far better, and by some stroke of fortune, the angle identical to the one used to photograph Peyton's gun. This time, holding the photographs side by side, even a two year old would have been able to tell that the guns were practically identical. Her heart skipped a beat, as she pondered whether or not they still had Peyton's gun in the evidence locker. She couldn't imagine the next of kin would want the gun-- and if they had released it to someone, there'd be a paper trail to follow.

"It's the same gun!" Cecily declared. "Here, what's the evidence tag on that photograph? I can try to find Peyton's gun in the evidence locker, if we still have it...I mean, I can't imagine anyone would want the thing, right? It'd be a bit odd to have that around, not like you can tell the neighbors Oh, and this is the gun our daughter used to pop off with!" She tugged at her hair slightly, feeling exhilarated from the slight breakthrough. The guns connected the sisters more than just their blood did. The odds that two people would kill themselves at the same place, with the same make of gun, and be related? Incredibly slim, Cecily figured.

A bit too impatient and fidgety now, Cecily looked at the file in Tank's hand, and got the evidence number. "Right, I'll go get it!" She practically ran from Wallace's office and down the hall, swiping her ID badge and heading inside. The walls were filled with boxes upon boxes filled with evidence, some of them from cases solved, some of them from cases cold. Rummaging through, she eventually made it to the small box set aside for Peyton's case. Cecily didn't have to search through it very long to realize the gun was gone.

"Shit!" Cecily groaned, stamping her foot a bit on the ground. Setting everything back, she left the evidence locker, securing it behind her. As she returned to Wallace's office, Roy had just got off the phone, finishing his call. She'd been gone less than a moment, sighing a bit as she prepared to share the news. Roy, however, stole the show.

"What do you mean?" Cecily frowned. She didn't like the tone or the look in his eye. Always expecting the worse, Cecily could only imagine that Wallace had had a similar encounter this morning--and that the person didn't miss that time. "He isn't dead....is he?"

She gulped, pleading with herself that it wasn't the case and that she was just reading into things too much. But if Wallace were dead, she didn't know quite what to do. Justice had had organized crime before, she'd dealt with those cases. But this? This was something more than that, if what she suspected turned out to be true...This would have to be something else, a different type of beast she wasn't prepared to deal with.

Location: Da Bus -> Boston Heights

Mali just sat there and watched as the scene unfurled. There was an aspect of fear, because anybody who doesn't get scared when somebody busts out a gun is a psycho or war vet, another of confusion, because why let everyone know you've got a gun just so you can clock a kid right in his obnoxious schnoz, one of relief, because fuck that kid and his radio, and finally one of indignation, because you don't just hit a child (let alone with a weapon), even if said kid is a piece of shit. All of these emotions swirled together in a ball on uncomfortableness, uncertainty and a feeling that she should do something about this.

Fuck that. She listened to that feeling yesterday and had gotten nothing but trouble for it. A couple points might be deducted from her soul's morality, but Mali figured that the risk-reward involved with this charade was almost certainly not worth it.

And then he happened to get off at her stop. Shit. Fuck. Well whatever. She would get off at the stop, give him some distance and then just ignore him. After all, if he was some crazed maniac, he probably would have done much worse than he did. Mali's leg muscles protested a bit as she left the bus, the lazy bastards not wanting to do anymore work. Stepping out of the stale, muggy air of the bus into the fresh, muggy air of Justice, she noticed that the same guy seemed to be heading towards Boston Heights.

...Fuck it. Just fuck it. Mali popped in headphones and gave herself an earful of music she felt would be appropriate for her mindset before walking towards the apartment complex herself. She had spent enough time detouring, and she was going to her apartment. Whatever happened happened. She would just roll with it.

Joseph 'Tank' Cooper

Tank watched Cecily screech and scramble, before heading off to the evidence room so fast they could feel a draft from the door she ran through. Tank nonchalantly looked over to Greg. "You know, I can't tell if she's really cute for an odd girl or really odd for a cute girl." he deadpanned. The young detective shrugged, and waited for her to get back and share with them what she had found. It seemed the universe gave them another 'fuck you' however when Greg answered his phone.

While his fellow detective spoke, the subtle way he conveyed his words cued Tank off in an instant. Instead of being taken aback however, there was merely recognition in his earth colored eyes. He'd heard that tone plenty of times before, and simply reached into his pocket to place a toothpick in his mouth. He knew without having to hear it echoed out of Cecily's mouth that Wallace was gone. "This case keeps getting more and more fucked up." he said aloud. It probably sounded like he was lamenting such a thing, but in all honesty he was just stating fact.

Deep within himself, he was getting fairly excited if he had to be honest. At the end of the day, past all the social and political bullshit this world made up, it began and would always end as kill or be killed. He'd rather be around when the real world showed its ugly head. It made him feel more alive, as if he was apart of something authentic now. He'd been bullshit talking his way through his entire life. He was glad his actions and circumstances weren't as fake and unoriginal.

"Well, let's go see the poor bastard." he said. His thumbs were in his pockets and his shoulders were a bit more prominent and squared now. He glanced at Greg, and then his gaze flickered to Cecily for a moment. Not because of her however, but the information on the gun was still a query for him.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Outside of Boston Heights

Riley would smile towards the homeless man, she was glad to help make a person's day a little bit better, she looked up at her window and sighed seeing that the dirty rag smudged up her windows she pressed the windshield wiper fluid watching it shoot out onto the window, Riley started to use the wipers until the windows finally cleared up. Riley watched the bus that happened to be next to her during the traffic jam had moved towards the bus stop just outside of Boston Height's stop, she stopped for a moment seeing the lanky looking man getting off of the bus. Riley could see him tucking what looked like a handgun of some kind into the back of his shirt, and immediately got suspicious, Riley continued to drive until she was outside of the Classic Building.

Riley looked over seeing the same man just turning over onto the sidewalk, she remembered last night with what happened to Danica as Riley turned off her car and took out her car keys. Riley reached for her purse, she wasn't sure if he was just passing through or he was going to try and do something. Riley then got out of her car and closed it behind her she leaned up against her car while watching him, Riley didn't trust the man at all and looked like he was a heavy drug user.

Riley caught a glimpse of Mali walking down the sidewalk as well, she didn't know the woman very well but knew that she also lived in Boston Heights. When the druggie got closer Riley took a step forward and eyed him before finally speaking to him which was probably stupid. "Can I help you with something?" Riley had finally asked.

Caesar Gonzalez

Location: Docks

Pleasantries of intentionally offputting conversation aside, Caesar did actually come to this part of town for a purpose. Hopefully, he'd made himself just barely uncomfortable enough a conversationalist to allow his unchallenged exit from the scene, but not quite enough so that it could not be rectified later on with a gruff apology, if needed. If not, his level of fuckgiving on the topic was minimal. He was here to scope out a corporate storage holding.

He did, however, have to maintain the level of social nicety with which he had started the interaction. The offer to look into a few companies to suit his fictional storage needs was a polite gesture, whether or not he actually meant to look into it. Who knows? Maybe one day soon they would actually need the extra storage. "Yeah, I would appreciate that." He overenunciated the word "appreciate" somewhat, but otherwise kept it casual. Playing down his grasp of the English language may actually work in his favor, depending upon the circumstances.

Caesar loosened the buttons on his coat and stuck his hands in its pockets. He didn't bother trying to put an overly pleasant look to his face as he had a moment before. Forcing "happy" made him look like the type that went to the local Rec Center to watch people swim. Creepy. Super Creepy. Instead, he addressed his actual sense of urgency. "I got one address to check out already, but I'm due for a meeting in about an hour. I'll catch you two later."

With that, Caesar strode away, taking an indirect route to his destination. This place could be a legitimate business, merely occupied in part by a questionable company, or it could be a paper holding, fully staffed by an unsavory element. Best to take a look before running in the front door.

Felix Hausten

Location: The Block

Great so this was where things was gonna get interesting. SO off the bat, it appeared officers were under orders to systematically say, it was suicide? Not murder? Huh, how suspicious. Not really suspicious, it was obvious they didn't want to cause controversy, and the best way was to keep saying it was a suicide. Now for Felix, he wasn't sure whether to question the guy futher or to take the heat off. He saw some commotion of other people enterring the block and got closer to the cop he had become acquainted with. Well, he seemed willing to talk, hopefuly for longer than they had already shared.

He quicly went over and handed the cop his number, smirking. "You seem busy, maybe I can ehar more about these little suicides later? Just wanna make sure there's no crazy drugs going around my block that make me wanna shoot my brains out or...drown myself in a fountain?" He was trying not to be an asshole, but it came naturaly. He waved him off as he started to see the press move in. he turned to see some idiot in a plaid shirt sneak past, accompanied by people he presumed were related to his new lovely abode.

he turned back to the cop, looked around at the press and grinned to the cop again. "So tell me, anything besides the sister conspiracy yet? I am very intrigued!"

Jeremy Bennet

Location: Noelle Morgan's Home -> The Library

As he moved outside, Jeremy took a glance back to the door, catching one more glimpse of Noelle before it closed. He sighed in something of a frustrated manner, visiting her had turned out to be more of a dead end than he'd hoped, but at the very least he hadn't walked away empty-handed. He took out his journal again, checking the drawing and picture once more. What irritated him more than anything was that he had little clue of where to go from there, he didn't have any real clue of where to go, these clues had to be something, but at the moment he could think of nothing.

He closed his journal and tucked it away again, sighing as he turned toward his bike and moved over to it. Climbing on to his bike, he started it up and pulled away onto the road, making his way toward the library. Jeremy hated having to go to the library, it usually meant he was stumped, in fact it always meant that he was stumped. Surely he'd manage to find something, somewhere, though he figured it would be a long night, a difficult night of research. Hopefully there was somewhere he could get some decent coffee near the library.

The drive there didn't take too long, the city was quiet and the library wasn't too particularly far. Jeremy hadn't been in Justice long, but he knew very well how the city was. He knew not to stick around when it was quiet, this city would eat you alive if it got the chance, it was just as dangerous as any tomb or ancient city he'd ever been through. Moving inside, he found a quiet enough corner and set about searching for anything of use, anything that could give him any clue into what he may have already known, or about the clues he'd picked up at Noelle's. For the images of boxes, he searched through mythos and history, he figured it had something to do with what Gerard was looking for - and he searched through family records he could get his hands on, any more members of this growing family would help, he was certain of it.

Lucas Walsh

Location: The U.N.

Lucas kept a smug grin on his face as he watched the security guard, turning his gaze toward Risa as she made the effort to explain him, winking over at her as she glanced in his direction. Sighing as the guard insisted he stay in the lobby, he shrugged, nodding to the guard and watching Risa as she came over. "I'll try not to run off with any pretty secretaries." He promised with a smirk, kissing her cheek gently and watching as she moved off.

Lucas settled down in a corner of the lobby, glancing to his phone from time to time but mostly just letting his eyes drift about the lobby, watching those who came and went, the security guards, he was letting his curiosity wander. He laid eyes on her again as she returned and chuckled, leaning up to kiss her back as he glanced down to the bottle of water and the snack she'd left him. "You're too kind, really, but i'd have preferred champagne." He smirked, holding back any complaints at having to wait, he'd save them until they were in the car, then he could really annoy her with them.

As she moved off again, he settled where he was, opening the bottle and taking a drink as he continued to watch people, eyes drifting from everyone, he wondered who each was, what they were doing, how their day was laid out before them. That's when the building shook violently, and a thunderous noise filled the room. The explosion may have taken place in the parking garage below them, but the lobby hadn't faired well, dust filled the room, and smoke began to billow up from the stairs leading down to the garage, along with flame which covered the area around the door, some tiling fell off the walls and screams resonated. He shifted off the chair and onto the floor, thrown by the sudden force of the explosion. As he stood, he looked around in surprise and confusion, a little stunned by the explosion.

This is Amy Adams with Channel 6 News. Breaking News! An Explosion at the Justice U.N. Center has rocked the Government District. As you can see from the footage, a billowing cloud of dust and debris is coming out of the underground parking garage of the twenty story building where heads of nations come together to discuss matters of World Government. The U.N. Building here in Justice is a new addition to our city, one many people protested; saying the worlds problems were not ours and we had enough to get through on a day to day basis without other Nations around. Could this be a terrorist attack on the U.N.? No one has taken claim yet. Will we keep you posted as the story unfolds. This is Amy Adams with Channel 6 News signing out until later.

@Dragoknighte @Nallore - The man keeps walking, stopping outside of the buildings of Boston Heights and eying the Regal Buildings where the cop and and another man are talking (Felix) - He rubs the blonde scruff on his chin, looking as if he is debating on what to do next when Riley decides to speak to him. He cocks a surprised brow that someone is actually addressing him that isn't in uniform. He stands there in silence for a bit before looking over his shoulder and spotting Mali; recognizing her from the bus but brushing it off as he turns his attention back to Riley. "Yeah, I just... Is it true? I mean I saw it on the news but those fuckers will make up anything," he says scratching the back of his hand and picking at a scab that looks like it has been picked at far too long. "Is Danica really dead?" he asks in a rough voice that seems to catch a bit, clearing his throat he a very straight thin lipped look at Riley.

@Pundii - Things are pretty calm as you get to the library. Most things you look at seem to lead to a dead end, a lot of talks of rubix cubes and setting speed records for them. That is until you reach a well worn and small book that perhaps should have been shelved with periodicals. It is torn and missing several pages in the small binding. In it you think you see a sketch of the drawing in Gerards files but you can't be sure. While looking for information on Danica and Peyton you find an article written by Danica when she was out in Greece. Sisters Discovered. - The article focuses on the ruins of ancient Greece and how Gerard along side Peyton had unearthed two sisters that had been buried together before death. Danica uses the base of the article to speak about how her and Peyton grew up together and yet apart and how the unearthing lead to her and her sister reconnecting. There are images in the article. One of them - What looks like what Gerard drew in his files buried with the sisters. What the hell is going on? And where is that artifact?

@Scallop - The cop stands there, not really giving you anything that you couldn't get off the news. Looking up he places his hands on his hips and rocks back and forth as he sighs a bit. "You know, my daughter is getting out of school for summer soon. She really wants to get involved with the Jr. Roller Derby program this summer. You know, something to do to pass the time. I figure why not, it will toughen her up and around here you have to be as tough as you can to survive. Thing is though, costs a lot of money and well on a cops salary, I can't afford it. Too bad," he says as he crosses his arms over his chest, one hand slipping under the other arm as he rubs his fingers together. Seems if you want real info, you better be willing to pay... A Lot.

@Morose @POOHEAD189 - Gregory informs you that Wallace is not dead but that he is in the hospital. Seems he got a little too drunk the night before after he left the scene and his house keeper found him at the bottom of his staircase this morning when she went to work. He has been there the last several hours coming in and out of it but keeps mumbling about something that the nurses and the doctors cannot make out. That isn't surprising, even when he is all there he isn't all there. Gregory shakes it off and says that he is going to dead down to see Wallace and that you two can come along if you would like. Stopping in his tracks he shakes his head and looks back over at you two. "Did you find the gun in the evidence locker?" he asks, by the tone of his voice it seems he has pretty much already figured out the answer but he wants verbal confirmation.

@Sigil - Lawson bids you good bye, he seems more interested in what Lana had given him that where the old Mexican is going, for now. You make your way through the Piers, it is a bit of a maze but it should only take a little bit for you to make your way down the various twists and turns of the Storage Unit Alleyways. As you are about to round a corner to the Gretchen Mortgage LLC storage unit you hear talking; in Russian. If you peek around the corner you will see a group of three people. Two just look like hired muscle that are moving boxes out of the storage unit. The other stands out, a woman directing them it seems from the hands gestures.

@Pundii - The building is shaking from the explosion and chaos has broken out. Clouds of concrete dust is everywhere coating things with a thick layer of gray. People are running around like chickens with their heads cut off, understandably so. Some are against walls with others, trying to stop bleeding from various injuries. You have a clear view of the elevators from where you are but you can see that the elevators crashed and there are not in use but there doesn't seem to be any blood around them, hopefully no one was in them when the explosion went off. You can hear sirens off in the distance but they are still a ways off. The door to the stair well was blown off in the explosion while it looks like the first set of stairs leading up is gone it isn't anything Luca couldn't climb with his skill set. Is it up or out at this point?
