Nakajima could hear the fear in her little sister's voice and she disliked it more than anything else. As Jin began questioning the woman that was offering them help, Naka looked back to her sister telling her." You shouldn't turn down an offer of help, despite how spontaneous it may seem." She knew it seemed a little naive but looking a gift horse in the mouth during a situation that she couldn't handle would make her look like a bad older sister.

The kunoichi listened to the woman call herself a nurse." Really ?" Nakajima asked." Jin, you don't have to worry, the lady trying to help is just the academy's nurse." Naka grabbed her sister's arm and yanked her close to her as she took the Nurse's hand, hoping that the mature woman wasn't trying to trap them deeper in the illusion, all Nakajima could really do is hope that that she wasn't lying and that if something went even more wrong she could protect Jin from anything dangerous.

The woman gave a smile, kindly, but inside she was cheering, as she grabbed Nakajima's hand, but just before her fingers touched the girls, Mimic reappeared, and slammed a fist into the woman's chest. She seemed to flicker a moment, "Stay behind me"

but the woman was gone, and Mimic gave a relieved sigh, turning to the girls as the darkness seemed to fade, his wrist device going from red to harmless blue again. "The security is back on. What were you thinking? Anyone teacher that doesn't have this device isn't a teacher here" He said, pointing to the blinking blue device.

"Nevermind that, get to class. There's still a little bit longer in this period"

"It was a fight" Connor said simply, "My first battle with Mimic, I just dove at him, and counted it a win that I got him on his backside" Connor gave Nathan a reassuring smile, feeling that the other boy had been waiting for some sort of backlash.

"Thats good" Connor was sure that there were other students out there who struggled with the illusions, and wondered if there was something that could be made to help. He pondered that a moment, then said to Nathan, "Don't be so hard on yourself. this time last year, I couldn't work my suit. Progress happens slowly, sometimes"

As Ignot gave him the all clear, Connor said "It seems everything's been sorted, for now. What class do you have next?" He wanted to try and reassure Nathan that this school accepted everyone, or at least some of the students did.

He looked over his shoulder at Kijani, and gave her a smile, before looking back to Nathan.

Kalinda let Kyle guide her to a seat, sitting down with relief. There had been a moment or two when she thought she might just pass out, the emotions of her fellow students quite potent right then, and overwhelming to her. She found herself moving closer to Kyle. His emotions just seemed so much easier to deal with, right then.

She waved at Griffin, recognising, as she had thought, he had taken over. "Are you guys okay?" She asked them, raising her voice to be heard. Following Kyle's gaze however, she saw him studying Phoebe and said "Oh, right. That's Wayne's daughter. I guess you two would kinda be family?"

Jin was about to tear herself free of her sister's grip, when suddenly the teacher was in front of them. She scowled at Naka, feeling her temper rise again. "See, Naka?! Dammit, you've really got to think more before you decide to trust people! Of course that wasn't a nurse, what were you thinking!" She could feel her face going red. "You could have really messed things up. I would have fought to protect you, but... really." Inwardly, she was breathing deep, trying to calm herself before she said something she didn't actually mean.

"...Come on. I'll walk you to your next class, okay?" She tried to pat her sister's shoulder in an encouraging way. Of course, she was still a bit upset, but yelling about it would probably mess things up. She'd gotten in trouble more than a few times for speaking without thinking.

Kijani watched Connor ease another student's fears, and he gave her a little look over his shoulder. She flashed him a wink, proud of him. It was strange - she'd never consider herself a follower, but she would easily follow this Connor's commands. This was going to be an interesting year, indeed. "Connor, I'm gonna head to my next class." She stepped forward, giving a little wave of greeting to a student who still looked rather panicked, and she gently kissed Connor on the cheek. "We can reunite properly later, ok?" She grabbed her things, swinging her sword around her back before heading out.

Kassy smiled, trying not to show her teeth. "You're welcome." The other students seemed to be coming out from under the illusion, which was good. She felt a little odd already, having just helped one. It didn't help matters that his mind was odd - even without much of a push, she could tell he was very compartmentalized. Almost literally, she could have sworn she sensed... boxes. No matter, though. Everything seemed to be approaching calm. "Erm... Does anyone know where the "Psychics and Mentalists 102 classroom is?" She felt nervous just speaking up, and was sort of expecting to just be ignored.

"I'm not... Panicking! It's the beast, he was surprised by the light!" Arachne's voice visibly strained as she tried to reel the Black Beast back. She also heard the girl's word about this being an illusion, but was actively disbelieving it all it took? She supposed that if she didn't know it was an illusion, Arachne would have never thought to "disbelieve" it, but it seemed like a stretch. She tried to not believe in the darkness around her, though her mind was somewhat distracted by reigning in the Black Beast.

"Calm down dammit, it was just a flash!" Arachne shouted at the Black Beast as it continued to lash out. Fortunately Arachne had kept the beast back from any students, but she was still blinded by the darkness around her. She was just too preoccupied to simple disbelieve in the illusion. Only suddenly, everything went back to normal. Arachne could see her fellow students, her surroundings, and more importantly she could see where the Black Beast was. Mustering as much control as she could, she created a boney appendage that reached out and tore the mask off the Black Beast. This was all she needed to force the monster back inside of her as she fell to the ground with a thud.

Tsura was a little surprised by the little blue monkey that was it seemed connected to a flying desk then it's rapid shift to a snake but managed to control her energy levels an not spike. Growing up with a mom who tamed demons and shackled them to her service made recent events seem actually a little homey.

So it was her intention to use the current state of things to prepare a decoy reflection around herself then slide out as a creature of Infrared energy an move to hover on her new friend's opposite side. And as things continued to focus less on her and Rebekah Tsura built up a pool of hidden photons in her duplicate focused away from themselves..

While she worked on her image an flash bomb the young inexperienced mutant failed to notice that she was building up excess thermal energy in the form of an attack coil inside her petite form. Made up of infrared energy it was a deadly cutting beam if she should lose control and capable of slicing a car in half in seconds.

Griffin nodded his thanks. He wasn't good with people. That was Zack's job buy he wasn't letting his brother out yet. He wasn't convinced the Sanger had passes. He was relieved to see that the outrageous boy who had gone against Mimic had brought her back. "We thank you little one. We do not know where that room is. We apologize. We believe it is near the counseling classes. We would suggest asking the red head. We believe her name is Katherin." he pointed to the girl before hurrying over to Kalinda. "We were worried when you disappeared. I am glad I did not have to hunt you. I would not like to hurt someone due to a misunderstanding." he growled. He not liked the way the boy took his friend. Hw glared at the boy. "Do not kidnap our friend again. I do not like kidnappers."

Kyle Grayson

Kyle wanted to go talk to Phoebe and conversate, but he decided against it. He figured that maybe right now wasnt the best time. He felt nervous, not like he did around Kalinda but for a reason he did not understand. Would she hate him, for spending more time with her father than her? Would she accept him as family, and bond with him like a sibling?

Kyle shook his thoughts away and focused on the words being spoken to him. Kyle did not immediatley understand what Griffin said to him before he softly slipped his fingers inbetween Kalindas fingers. Kyle kept his cool, but on the inside he was burning up realizing how brave he was being. He was feeling more confident with Kalinda, and at the same time he was never more nervous.

Kyle looked Griffin straight in the eyes.

"Listen man.....I promise nothing."

Kalinda was use to the different ways the boys acted. She gave them a smile, and tried to reassure them that nothing had happened. "Kyle needed to get out, so I took him through the shadows. We were in the cafeteria when the laughter started, and Kyle got us ontop of a building, and then the darkness came. A woman attacked us, and I...well I don't know how to explain it. I just threw emotions at her. Kyle brought me back. He's okay, Griffin"

She seemed to automatically entwine her fingers with Kyles when he slipped his through hers, and didn't seem aware of it.

She knew the story of Zack being kidnapped, leading to Griffin asserting control. Zack was easier to placate, Griffin took a bit of work. "Really, Griffin. He didn't kidnap me" well. Maybe not in the way Griffin meant. She squeezed Kyle's fingers, a slight warning. "I should have told you I was going with Kyke, I'm sorry, I didn't think" she said,she was actually quite touched, that the boys would try to protect her so. "Kyle is a good person, Griffin. Im glad you worry for me, but Kyle doesn't need to worry you"

Griffin frowned at Kalind. He didn't think so was lying but it was still hard for him to believe that she had left with a student that she had known such a short time. It eased his mind that his friend was ok. He didn't have a lot of friends so he was very protective of them. Kalinda was one of the first friend that he had made here so he was extra protective or her. "If Kyle was a good person he would not threaten to take you from us. He just stated that he would not promise not to kidnap you." Griffin pointed out with a low growl. To him that was a threat. Maybe this time it hadn't been kidnapping since Kyle had brought her back and see seemed ok. But the boy seemed into in taking his friend whenever he wanted to. While he would respect if Kalinda choose to go with the other boy. But he would not allow her to be taken against her will for any reason. The reasons didn't matter to him. It might not be logical but he didn't have to be logical. It wasn't his job.

Kyle rubbed his thumb along Kalinda's hand, and it was calming to know she was there next to him.

"Calm down my friend. Twas only a jest no,"Kyle said with a french accent then spoke normally," Dude I'm not going to "steal" Kalinda, but I am not gonna go running to you for permission everytime I want to go somewhere with her. I would like to be friends with you though so I believe we got off on the wrong foot. You're Griffin right? My name Is Kyle Grayson, Legendary Boy Wonder!"

Kyle felt a surge of happiness and pride as he said the words. He loved the name and did not care if everyone else hated it. He would start off just like his father.

When the illusion broke and it turned out to be a different teacher, Nakajima was surprised, but also a little peeved by the trick. The teacher berated her for trusting a random person that called them self a nurse." H-how was I suppose to know if you were a nurse or not ? This is my first day here." She attempted to question him before Jin started to get angry with her." Well, Jin I was thinking about keeping you safe really I didn't want you to get hurt and if they were someone that wanted to hurt us I'd take care of it."

The second that Jin said she would've protected Naka, the kunoichi put a hand on her forehead." But it's my job as the bigger sister to protect you, not the other way around." As Jin began calming down and her little sister put a hand on her shoulder to attempt to feel better, Nakajima felt a small headache forming then told Jin." Your face is as red as beetroot Jin, I didn't think that a mistake like that would make you feel that angry."

Griffin bared his teeth at Kyle. He was not someone to joke woth. "Save your jokes for Zack. He will appreciate them where I do not. We don't expect you to ask our promise. Kalinda is our friend not our property. If she goes with you by choice then we will have no issues with it. But if you take her against her will I will have no choice but to hunt you. You don't want me to hunt you. I am a very good hunter. Neither Kalinda or my brother will be able to stop me of uou hurt our friend. I do not have many friend. I am not sure I wish to be your friend. But Kalinda seems to like you so I will give you a chance."

Kyle looked at Kalinda and slightly shrugged.

"Hey you that. I tried."

Kyle looked back at Griffin. He wore a smile and his eyes were bright, but inside he was slightly aggravated.

"Grif, can I call you Grif by the way, listen Grif go ahead and threaten me all you want. Something I have learned from my mentors is that the loudest dog has the weakest bite. So go ahead, be big and bad. Huff and puff. You dont scare me. I want to be your friend, so anytime you decide to get calm and make peace I will be here.....next to Kalinda."

"You seem to be under the impression that it was I who caused this, no. When i test you, it is not like to get you kidnapped. Remember that. That was a graduate who has turned her skills to evil. Her projection wasn't an illusion. Go to class" Mimic said with annoyance. Children just jumped to conclusions, and got angry, and Emily seemed to have no clue how close she had come to being kidnapped. "Next time I might not be here to save your ungrateful butts, so learn to think" He turned back to his classroom, leaving the girls.

Kalinda could feel the situation getting out of hand. Griffin always kept his emotions at bay, letting them build up, but she knew the anger was there, and Kyle was just making it worse. "Kyle" Kalinda said softly, "Griffin is a protector. There's a reason why he takes over, pushing Zack to the back. I've seen him fight, seen him track. He can back up his words" She kept her voice soft, her tone calm, "Griffin's the fighter, Zack is the socaliser. If Griffin's here, it means he perceives you as a threat. And you aren't making it any better" She said.

She turned to Griffin, and said "You know no one can kidnap me. If they tried, I'd just go into the shadow realm. Even if they can supress that, they can't supress the fact that if they touch me, I can unleash a torrent of emotions on them and get away." She said, trying to defuse the situation, "I like being near Kyle. You know I've had trouble with control, and he has a way of lessoning emotions around me. Theatrical people often have the more powerful emotions. Just like being around you, it helps. And...he's a good person...funny and sweet. And if I have to tie you both up and force you to get along, I will. You and Zack are important to me. And kyle is too. I won't have you guys butting heads every time you are around each other"

Kyle sighed and nodded.

"I didnt start it, Grif seems to be looking for a fight. Normally I would just bounce off what he said but....im a little tired."

Kyle managed a weak grin but was actually in worse condition than he let on. It hit him slower than most, but the fatigue of the day had nearly won over him. His battle with Mimic, the suprise attack by the stranger, the emotional battle with Kalinda, and now this.

"Grif lets put our differences aside. We just got on the wrong foot. Maybe a nice round of tea and krumpets?"

Griffin was startled by the offer. He had never been invited to anything. Well other then the on time that Kalinda invited him to share pizza. He throw his head back and laughed. Anyone who knew him would know that this was behavior was. He shook his head. This boy was odd. He knew of no one else that would invite someone who was threatening them to tea. It made no sense to him. He wondered if the boy would last long in the real world. He would have to keep an eye on him to see. "I don't do tea. Ask Zack some time. He might agree. If you are alright Kalinda I want to go hunting for this person that caused the darkness."

There were some things Kalinsa just wouldn't be able to understand. She shook her head at their behaviour, and gave a sigh, until Griffin said about hunting the woman.

"You won't find her" Kalinda said at once, "she was never truly here. It was all imaging" while she knew Griffin could handle himself, she didn't want her friends going off in what could be a wild goose chase. "Please, don't go off. She's dangerous, Griffin. She can read minds, like Xavier. And then there's the illusions-We need to be able to fight them effectively which means staying and learning how.

Besides, I'm in no condition to chase after you, and Kyle's barely standing up, and you're not going without me"

Tsura watched her classmates from an oblique position to her projection her delight barely contained till she noticed that she'd been increasing her thermal signature and was forced to sparkle in the ultra violet like an insanely huge fire work to bleed off energy and lower her thermal levels.

It was funny that when you thought of it; a photon is an elementary particle, the quantum of all forms of electromagnetic radiation. It was funny because people found out her Dad was Magneto and about 65% wondered why she didn't have powers like his. At least that was what she occupied her time thinking of as she reentered her projection so as to not startle the others by being in two places at once.

Once she merged Tsura became a solid so that she could hear and ask questions.

"This has been wonderful" she said practically purring out the last word in her accented English.

"Mamma would be beside herself; Swords, Spear an Razor whip in her four hands.

I've never enjoyed myself more; I like this school very, very much." she giggles then spins on toe around Rebekah in her own version of her mom's martial arts.

After searching the entire campus, his serpentine body traveling with supernatural rapidity, The One The Only lets loose a defeated hiss. "The witch seems to have retreated. 'Tis a shame. To cover the entire school with an illusion that individually affects every person under its spell? That would require a formidable amount of skill."

With a bow of his head, Toto's body begins to warp as it gains muscle mass. A small squelching noise echoes off the nearby lockers as four legs and two wings sprout underneath his blue-grey scales. He unfurls his great wings as his powerful legs lift his body off the ground. Now, roughly the size of a clydesdale, he begins making his way back to the classroom, his talons clinking against the tiles of the floor with every step.

Upon reaching Mimic's class, Toto pauses before the door. With another bow of his head, he shrinks to the size of a german shepherd and holds his wings tight to his body. With a slow, nonchalant gait and his regal head held high, he walks to his mistress. He nuzzles her leg while telling her telepathically, "I have failed you madame. I could not find the illusionist before she made her escape."
