Hold on now, now we're just deliberately not remembering things.

I did try to negotiate at that conference, and your guys said that I'd take the territory I was given and I'd like it or else. There was no attempt at trying to reach a compromise, and no time to do so because the Tyrands decided to drop in and ruin everything before anyone could actually agree to any deals that might be presented. And Ba'al chose to not go to the second meeting as a negotiating tactic, but it seems like that won't matter because your guys don't need the Goa'uld to actually win this fight.

I have been willing to negotiate, hell, would have loved to. But you can't really negotiate when every other faction thinks that you're a group of primitives who can barely fly a spaceship and aren't worthy of being in the same room much less the same universe.

You know, I'd love to kill a Chryssalid, but given that I was under the impression all your guys lived in orbit I'm not sure where I'd even get one.

As for your other claim, nowhere in this thread was I given the impression that I have complete access to the entire multiverse as I wish. At best it would have been what was accessible by the terminals, and I didn't know where those terminals might go. The multiverse RP aspect was because different things from the multiverse were combined into this one reality. Not because I have unlimited access to infinite realities. At least, I've never been given any indication as such until this moment. Mostly because it would ruin the premise of the RP, but y'know, details.

@Flamelord

You would have to ask Savato that, not me. I was just using it as an example. A stand in for the thousands of other creatures that have properties just like it.

As for the multiverse thing, your a faction, and a big one. You still have access to terminals. There is a reason that universe apps are a thing. Not for us to look at, but to actually be interacted with.

We don't tend to take advantage of it, but the ability to do so is there. If it'll help out your faction, then do it. Several things can be done. Make a universe application. Use one from the last RP. And if somehow, for some reason, you can't think of one single thing, ask someone if you can explore their home universe. I doubt we would mind it. But you would leave yourself open to all the dangers of said universe, and have to play by their rules. So, there would be some actual risk behind it.

----

The first part of the post doesn't seem to concern me too much, but I'll still say something about it.

Technically, we don't need anyone to beat the tyranid. Any of the factions could up and disappear, and it wouldn't matter. It's an RP. With or without anyone here, the remaining players would either find a way to succeed, or make an interesting story to lose.

Instead of focusing on how "you can't do anything" and being so very negative about it, look at what's been said, and look at what's in front of you and offered to you. You have an almost limitless pool of options if you would just put a little more thought in to it.

And don't take that the wrong way. It wouldn't be anywhere near as fun if someone up and left entirely. I'm just stating that, for beating the tyranid, no one is truly "necessary"

That doesn't mean anyone here is useless. It just enforces the point that this is an RP. There's no one specific thing needed, but that doesn't mean those things aren't wanted.

When I say 'necessary', I mean that the Goa'uld don't bring anything to the table that the other factions don't already possess, meaning that the other factions can view them as not important to an overall victory. Which is why they can feel comfortable not dealing with my faction, because I have nothing that they want. And I can't use the threat of punching them in the face because they don't believe that it's a credible threat.

Alright then, let me just check to make sure. So it's okay for me to go to another universe where sentient life never developed and colonize that to my hearts content, but I can't colonize a single planet in a universe that has other PC factions in it? Got it, makes sense.

But hey, I can't explore other peoples home universes because unless they came through one of my terminals then I don't even know that they exist. Because again, none of the individual characters have felt interested in interacting with the Goa'uld. Which was a thing in the last RP too, so I'm not sure why I'm surprised.

Basically, I can't fight because everyone is confident that they can kick my ass, I can't negotiate because no one wants to talk, they just want to enforce demands, I can't do sneaky stuff to change it because the various factions opposing mine are immune to the one area that my faction is specifically out and out good at, and my only hope for teching up is either robbing Tyranid battlefield graveyards (which seems like a bad idea just in principle) or going to another universe and getting it. Ignoring the fact that if it was that easy then the Goa'uld would have done it in the five years since arriving here and meeting the Imperium.

But of course it's all my fault. Why should I be surprised?

@Flamelord

Nobody was s-

No, I am far too done with a lot to be nice. If your faction is not relevant, then it is entirely your fault.

We have been sitting here, giving you options, examples. Handing you openings and territory, offering you ins. And you won't take any of it. You feel more content to sit here and moan and complain about how weak everyone thinks your faction is. I have exactly four words for that.

Do something abut it.

It is really not anywhere near as hard as your making it out to be. Even the yakuza became more relevant then the goa'uld. And they were the weakest faction entirely. They offered literally nothing to anyone. And yet they were more relevant.

Now if he doesn't want to get into it, he doesn't have to, but I'll mention him. @savato can tell you if he wants to, the first RP, I made huge, very thought out plans around the goa'uld. I expected them to do something huge, I expected them to be a dangerous, major player.

Every single one of them were broken. Not on anything like wit or anything. But because each and every time the opportunity came around for you to worm your way in, and do something huge and shake things up. You did nothing. You did absolutely nothing.

I'll be honest, I'm still planning around the goa'uld doing something big. I am waiting for them to do something spectacular. But for that to happen, you need to take the initiative. You need to stop and think, instead of getting upset because you can't teleport or sneak one hit KOs into people's territories.

There. I made a post. I got out of there because I didn't really know what to do. I also stole the giant robot. Because why not raise the kidnapped giant robot count to 2?

Oi, question for you all. I sorta want to give martin an ability that has nothing to do with the current situations at hand, that I think he should have, due to a character quirk.

The ability to sing extremely well, and the ability to play guitar, extremely well.

Does this sound ok?

Any and all abilities/skills of the mundane variety that do not impact your ability to affect the world significantly, such as the ability to sing, cook, clean, or paint, are pretty much automatically allowed. So yeah, you can have him be musical.

You'd be surprised how much damage you can do with cooking and cleaning in SS13.

.... you know, I probably would be.

As long as it's not Siren-level, it's fine. And take into account that tastes differ, in terms of music. Many people thought Micheal Jackson was one of the greatest dancers of his time, I think he just looks silly. So despite being highly skilled, he will not automatically be able to impress every audience, depending on the style of entertainment common to their home universe and their personal taste.

Guys, this thread is seriously dead. If you are still intent on continuing it, say something now, otherwise, I'd like the courtesy of knowing that it's over.
