The small, dark-haired schoolgirl shut her eyes lightly. In her headphones, one of her favorite songs was playing. The vehicle around her was pretty steady, not too bumpy of a ride. That'd piss her off, if it had been too bumpy. But in this case it was nice and smooth. She just relaxed and kept listening to her music, her thoughts wandering about in her head, as she was carried steadily to her destination.

Her relaxation was interrupted, however, when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She opened her grey eyes and looked up, sliding her headphones off.

"We're here, Minami-san," the man said. She waved her hand and got to her feet, turning off her music and setting her headphones aside as she got up.

"Yeah, yeah," she said, with a sigh. This one didn't even sound that exciting... slowly, she walked towards the back of the vehicle, jamming her hands in her pockets. After a moment's pause, she looked back over her shoulder and grinned. At least there was something she could do to spice it up this time.

"Hey, hey, oji-san," she asked. The man, old enough in her mind to qualify for that label, sighed and turned towards her, "How about you time me this time? Keep an official record!"

"You should really take this more seriously, Minami-san," he said, flatly. The schoolgirl sighed and rolled her eyes as her attention returned to the back of the vehicle.

"Fine, I'll just time myself again," she replied, with an irritated huff, extracting a box of pocky from her jacket and putting one of the sticks in her mouth, before returning it and firmly driving her hands back inside her pockets. "Let's go."

"Deploying Agent Minami Fuuka," declared a voice towards the front of the vehicle, "Three, two, one!"

The floor opened beneath her. Fuuka looked slightly quizzically downwards as the clouds rushed up towards her and she fell downwards feet-first. She could see the streets, soon enough, keeping the pocky firmly in her mouth and her hands stuck in her pockets.

She'd have to start her timer as soon as things got going. Hopefully there wouldn't be some boring speech.

In 1984, the Japanese Government formed the Japanese Supernatural Self-Defense Force, an organization designed to defend civilians against supernatural threats and study such dangerous entities. But as the JSSDF grew, they began to realize that humans alone were not capable of handling such dangerous foes without extreme risk. This is what made them form the Outbreak Agency, a department within the JSSDF that allowed for the development of technology that could combat supernatural threats, and the employment of supernaturally empowered individuals as Outbreakers.

Outbreakers are special agents, both supernatural or wielding technology to combat the supernatural, employed to combat supernatural threats. They range from individuals with exceptional strength, to espers, to those capable of using magical abilities, to those piloting high-tech mobile suits designed to defend civilians against even the most dangerous of threats.

It's 2025, and the world has changed a great deal since 1984. But the JSSDF, and the Outbreak Agency, has only grown.

So trying something else new, um... a Supernatural Agency RP! I'm planning on going a bit gonzo with the action in this and making it pretty crazy, so I encourage you to make characters who are pretty tough in a fight. Alternatively, you can make characters who act in more of a support role!

Players will take up the role of Outbreakers, their support team, or even their enemies(with special permission and discussion!).

• Outbreaker: An agent of the Outbreak Agency, Outbreakers are either somehow supernatural themselves or wielding some form of technology designed to deal with supernatural threats. Their ranks include youkai, hanyou, supernaturally-empowered humans, mecha pilots, espers, mages, and a whole gamut of different types of fighters.
• Closed Eye: An invididual vulnerable to a Red Strike, a sudden interference from the spiritual world causing them to spontaneously develop supernatural capabilities, often influencing their mind in a negative fashion, or letting loose darker impulses. Their vulnerability is a result of being somehow more deeply in tune with the spiritual world while otherwise being a mundane human.
• Opened Eye: A known individual who has been hit with a Red Strike, granting them abilities they did not previously have and potentially influencing their mind. They are classed as extremely dangerous.

Here's an example character!

• Name: Minami Fuuka
• Age: 15
• Gender: Female
• Appearance: "What're you saying, and why should I care?"
• Personality: Fuuka is self-confident, flippant, and somewhat on the stubborn side. She has something of a disregard for authority figures, and often tries to get them to do what she wants, like officially time her on her missions. She's rather disinterested in the 'standard' threats she might face, and so she turns them into something of a game, timing herself on how quickly she can take out every target. In this way, she still finds beating up a bunch of poorly-made golems or some stupid thuggish youkai pretty fun. Fuuka is fond of sweets, especially pocky, and is rarely without a box. She thinks one of the best ways to make friends is to offer the other person a pocky stick, as well. She hates wasteful people, especially when it comes to food. Fuuka absolutely believes in herself and is completely self-assured about her ability to fight her enemies and win, especially if they're some boring 'standard' threat level. In her mind, such fights can still be fun, though. Fuuka is likely to blow off attempts by such 'standard' threats to explain themselves. She enjoys video games, both arcade and home, a great deal, especially fighting games. Generally-speaking, she's fairly friendly towards others, but still remains flippant to her superiors.
• Equipment: Nothing of note. Well, except the pocky.
• Abilities: Fuuka is called the Strongest Schoolgirl in Japan for a reason. She is enormously strong and durable, capable of falling great distances or taking powerful impacts and coming out just fine. She can punch through solid rock or steel with her bare hands, and stop a speeding car in the same manner. However, she can be worn out, and has no inherent healing capabilities or anything of the sort. As of now, the leading theory is that her family possesses some form of youkai blood, deep in their background.
• Skills: Fuuka knows how to throw a punch or a kick, and has a fast, improvised fighting style without much formality at all.
• Brief Backstory: Fuuka was born into a family that began to degenerate shortly after her birth, her father becoming an alcoholic and her mother returning to work in a desperate bid to sustain their family. Her father eventually left after one night where he struck Fuuka in a drunken rage. Disgusted with himself afterwards, he decided his presence was only harmful and left, leaving a note stating he was no longer worthy of being Fuuka's father or her mother's husband. As such, the rest of Fuuka's childhood was spent without a father, and while her mother has managed to hold down a decently-paying job this has left her with little time spent with any parents. Even as young child, Fuuka began to display rebellious behavior, though not exactly fitting what most people would consider to be a delinquent. She never bleached her hair or joined up with a gang of troublemaking girls, or did much more then blow off her teachers if she was annoyed(much to their own irritation). When she was only nine years old, she tried to protect one of her friends from a speeding car. While she was struck, she found herself having stopped the car dead in its tracks, and indeed dented the front and destroyed many of its inner workings with her bare hands. From this point on it became rapidly apparent that something had triggered inside the girl. It wasn't long after that the JSSDF decided to investigate such a mysterious occurrence, and discovered that Fuuka had taken to beating up street thugs in spite of her young age, immediately taking advantage of her newfound abilities. After a lengthy talk with her mother, and an explanation to Fuuka about the nature of the Outbreak Agency and how it could benefit a girl who had seemingly suddenly manifested enormous strength, Fuuka decided to become an Outbreaker quite quickly. After her initial few deployments, her strength grew enough to make minor threats an absolute cakewalk(in her opinion, at least), and she finds them kind of stale, spicing them up by treating them as a game and timing herself. She still gets a kick out of hitting things really hard, though.

I'd play, but the character I wanna use probably wont fit due to having a high but balanced power curve. Dunno what your asking for in this RP.

It really depends if the world is 'shoot shoot bang bang' or 'batman gadgets' as to if she'll be OP or UP/balanced. lol

Hoping to attend this one, I have an half japanese half nordic character in mind, artificially infused with powers of Kalevalan sea devil Ikuturso. Joining the ranks of opened eye (That is if you had in mind accepting "bad guys" The idea works in favor of protags also.)

You'd have to talk over a villain concept with me in detail first, since I'm more strict with villains due to bad experiences in the past.

Im not all that keen on villany myself but penning up the character I thought he would work better as an "not exactly good guy" and to alleviate some worries, I am an GM myself and not out to hijack games, needlessly assault pc´s, or bring overpowered game changers to shake things, I go with whatever you choose most appropriate, as I stated, the character works as an hero as well.
