Here is a list of all non-NATO participants in the GWOT, for those that are interested:

I'm not trying to be rude, but Finland was a Belligerents (Non-NATO participant) of the War on Terror. Most of the world was at war with terror, but North Korea and many other island nations. I will allow him to be Finland, as for everyone else who posted a NS. You're accepted, a IC post shall be made ASAP.

Precisely. It's not just 'big' countries that play a part in things which is why I let that comment slide.

Maybe I can join in as Iran? They play a pretty big role in this whole War on Terror stuff since they provide weapons to Hezbollah and such.

Nearly every country is participating in the war on terror. I'm just saying we take countries that play a major role.

I don't want to look like I'm saying "EVERYONE GREAT POWER OR MIDDLE EAST GO", but I don't think it's unreasonable to say people should try and pick countries whose armed forces are actively participating in the War on Terror one way...

*looks at Jannah and flylittlecat*

Or the other.

Well this is alternate history, presumably, so who's to say that smaller countries can't play a major role? If people want to play a minor power, it's not hurting anyone.

I doubt Finland will be a den of terrorism. Or be a major combatant.

Bottom line: If you're Finland that's fine with me, no hard feelings, but please consider a bigger player.

You bastard.

Also, the leader of Germany in 2001 was actually Gerhard Schröder. We go by the Chancellor, not the President.

I... can't find any numbers about the Mexican army on 2001. Uh, is there any nations with registered troops numbers from 2001 left?

I just took China's current numbers and corrected them for error using 2001 population. I'm a little generous with the military numbers, but the labour forces and purchasing power are a little under what they would have been. Just do some math and wing it, bro.

Nation: United Mexican States
Population:100,425,000

Military strength:
Active personnel: 228.597

Country's leader: Vicente Fox

Allegiance: Officially neutral but aligned with the US

Current situation: Great things are expected of President Fox, seeing how he has broken the hegemony of the PRI, as a memeber of the PAN, that has held the leadership of the country for around 70 years, although there's accusations of him rising to power through corrupt funding. When the lockdown of the US after the terrorist attacks that took place there, the drug trade found it more difficult to smuggle its products over the border. The rise of violence between the warring drug cartels continues, endangering much of the country and its people. The EZLN continues struggling, although with a lack of violence on its actions, finding itself in the state of Chiapas. Aside from that, Fox holds a view towards the free market and globalization and finds attempts to preserve the ties to strong ties to the US, such as the NAFTA Treaty.

This good?
