Aiden was too busy talking with Roxy to hear the first thing said to him. Not that he was ignoring him, just that he was too distracted. Yet regardless he heard the second thing clear as day, though it wasn't so much as a question but instead an answer to it, "Dumb question; of course it does. Sorry about that."

From there Aiden turned to face the newcomer head on. "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were there. I'm sorry." He said trying to ask for forgiveness for his ignorance. Still yet he couldn't help but notice the man looking over Roxy and himself. Though it didn't strike him as odd or weird, after all the newcomer seemed nice enough.

"I wouldn't call myself a new trainer. Been doing this for 8 years now. But I was thinking of the contests and the league. Why do you ask? Are you looking to do those too?" Aiden continued to ask, curious about this new fellow.

For Zorex he was happily wiggling about in Aiden's arms before seeing the new face. Then with a big smile that quiet literally made up most of his body he let out a cute roar towards Nov. Beyond that he started to wiggle more and more until Aiden couldn't hold on anymore and he dropped to the ground, landing on his feet. From there he walked up to Nov and upon looking up started to let out a series of cried towards the Growlithe that he was holding, ready to make another friend.

York Grevillia

@floodtalon

"Sure hope so, it'd be boring to see the same thing over and over", he responded with a smile. Winning didn't seem to be part of his interests. As Talonite introduced himself he waited to respond to do the same as common courtesy demanded.

"And I'm York. So all the way from Alola? Hmmmm, that's a decently long way... Speaking of the league, we should sign up properly, the line should be pretty much gone by now", he suggested as he went over to the desk.

"Come on, I wanna get going as soon as possible. I don't want it to be too dark by the time I get over to the university".

- In the Pokemon League Line --> Pokedex Line
- Interacting with: Professor Grevillia (@Sho Minazuki)

Holding Pixie for a long time as he waited patiently in line was starting to wear Ryan's arms out, to which he set her down so that he could get some rest. "Sorry girl, I just need a couple minutes to give my arms rest. After awhile, you start to get heavy." He told her, to which she gave a soft whimper of disapproval, reluctantly leaning against his legs instead. "Aw come on Pixie, I'm sorry. I'll pick you up once again after I'm done registering, alright?" He asked his partner, looking down to see her smile up at him and give a soft, happy cry now. Leaning down, he petted her softly for a bit before standing back up, placing both hands in his pockets as he looked around a tad before it was his turn.

As he finished and started to leave the line, a sense of wonder and joy hit him in the heart, causing him to internally jump for joy, while externally he picked up Pixie and placed her on his shoulder. While it wasn't exactly what she wanted, she went with it, allowing Ryan to continue on his rather slow pace as he began to think to himself. He had registered for both Contests and the League, he had his own pokemon, and he believed he had all the necessary supplies for the journey ahead. Sliding his backpack off his free shoulder, he found a spot away from the others to shift around in it, eventually finding the small pocket notebook Ryan was looking for.

He flipped it to the first page, grabbing a pencil from inside his bag so that he could check off his supplies one last time.
"Sleeping bag, check. Rations, check. Poke-food, check. Pokedex... Ah crap..." He facepalmed to himself, sighing slightly before he put a big x next to that line. "Oh well... I don't want to bother the Professor right now, so I guess I'll just come back later after I've explored Chromis for awhile." He told Pixie, who now jumped off his right shoulder and landed in front of him, nodding.

"Yeah, maybe it'll be better this way. With how much I had to study in school, along with endless hours of TV and internet watching pokemon battles or contests, or even performances, I'm sure I can do this without a pokedex. It'll let me get to know you guys better too! Or maybe it won't..." He told her, to which she gave him a puzzled look. "I'm sorry I'm going back and forth with myself... But maybe a crutch wouldn't hurt, especially because I don't think I know every pokemon..."

Though slightly annoyed with her partner, Pixie eventually shrugged it off, instead prodding and nudging him every couple seconds as he put his notebook away. She was poking the pokeball that was in his pocket that was hers, probably just wanting some rest herself. He nodded, understanding what she wanted, and soon she was inside her pokeball, allowing Ryan to focus on the task at hand.

Picking himself up, he made his way to the professor's line for pokedex's, his confidence that he had when he was alone with Pixie shattering into silent nervousness. This was someone really important, he thought, and he didn't want to mess up with something as simple as a question for a pokedex, but at the same time he wanted to make a good impression. Not like she'd remember him after this, but still, it was the thought that counts. So as he waited patiently, soon getting towards the front, he approached her as he took a deep breath.

"Sorry to intrude Professor, but I, er, was wondering if I could also get a Pokedex, maybe? Unless you don't have anymore, of course, then I'll leave if that's the case..." He said, progressively getting faster and quieter as time went on. Man, if he felt like he hadn't blown it yet, he was definitely feeling that now.

Morgana Lockwood

@EnterTheHero

“My name is Morgana Lockwood. That’s Luft.” She said, pointing to her purple floating companion. “We are from Sinnoh. I’m taking on both the League and the Contests they have in this region.” She wasn’t surprised to hear that the boy wanted to take on the League; it seemed to be one of the more popular choices here. Of course, Morgana didn’t plan on just taking on the League; she planned to win. Win both the League and the Contests, but she held her tongue. Suddenly, it dawned on her that she still had some things to do.

“Crap! One moment.” She said to Sage, and ran to both the Contest and League signups, cutting in front the line of folks waiting to sign up. After ignoring a few out cries and angry comments, Morgana finished her sign up and returned to Sage and his partner, and Luft who decided to return to his trainer’s side.

“So, uh…Sage, are you interested in joining forces? Even if just temporarily, but I think it’d be wiser if new trainers traveled in groups. I don’t know the area and I’d rather not get mugged or get lost and die of starvation.” She gazed nervously at the other trainer. She didn’t know the guy and certainly didn’t trust him that well; but traveling alone was dangerous, especially in a new region. Luft hasn’t had much battling experience and thus wouldn’t be safe to bet that he would be able to fend off all threats. It was safer to travel in groups and most of the other new trainers had already group up and set off. She and Sage were close in age and the guy seemed relatively decent, so Morgana felt this was the best arrangement for now.

Luft made a loud “Fwoon” noise and Morgana grabbed his arms and held tight onto them. Perhaps he could sense her anxiety, Morgana liked to think he could.

While Aiden was speaking with Roxy and Novis he realized that the day's events were slowing to a halt and he still had to sign up for both his contest pass and his League Registration. So while he was still mid conversation with them he said, "Come on guys let's walk and talk. I'm not sure about you guys, but I still need to register and it looks like this will be our last chance." Of course his intent was not to be mean or to get away from anybody, just to cover his bases before all of the locations began to close for the week.

Making his way to the League Registration first he almost went straight to the front given how short the line was, making sure to get his badge case as well as learn about where and what had to be done to fill it up. Next was the Contest line that he once again went almost immediately into the signing process and again he got his Contest Pass so now he'd be set and ready to face what the Chromis Region had to offer.

Sadie Hill

Interacting With : @Amaterasu, @itano123, @Alder
Location : Beryllium City/Pokemon Lab

Sadie had a very big grin on her face. She had never met a Rockruff before. She knelt down and pet the puppy Pokemon right behind the ears. She stood up in order to continue speaking with the other teens standing in front of her. She let the boy respond to Lusitania's question first then she began, "First off," turning to the boy with an extended hand, "It is a pleasure to meet you. I'm Sadie." Once he shook her hand or Sadie realized he wasn't going to She did a short curtsy then looked at both of them and motioned towards her partner. "This little girl here is Gigaton. The two of us will also be participating in the Contests and Pokemon League so that will be fun."

Sadie started thinking about where she wanted to go after leaving Beryllium City and was about to speak before a boy cleared his throat near them and began speaking. Sadie listened not at all surprised that Lusitania had already gotten into a battle. She was however surprised that it appeared as if Lusitania had lost. Sure with a Rockruff against a Gible the odds were against Lusitania being the victor, but the girl knew extremely well how to work around such odds.

Sadie decided she should at the very least greet the boy and congratulate him on his victory. She turned to him and curtsied before speaking, "Hello my name is Sadie. Congratulations on winning a battle so early in your journey." Sadie then turned back to Lusitania and the other boy in order to respond fully to Lusitania's question. "To finish answering your question, Lusi. I don't have any real idea of where I want to go yet. I know I want to make a stop by Shibuichi Temple to try and find a Ralts or Baltoy before my first contest. What about the two of you?" She turned the question back on to Lusitania and also gestured to the boy with the Gible to try and get him to answer.

He left the laboratory being on his way. Francis was resting under his hat, shifting to make a mess out of Danilos hair and be more comfortable. He didnt get fair on his way when something pulled his attention. A girl was quite interestingly dressed. If he wasnt wrong it was a eevee evolution that she was reminding him off. Definitely the ice eevee.

Deciding to introduce himself to such a interesting looking person, he walked up to them and then noticed that there were two Slyveon she was petting.

"Oh dear, a second pokemon in a day with a rare coloration I was graced to see. If this isnt a good luck symbol, than I truly would know."

Danilo bowed to the trainers allowing his hat to fall in his waiting hand, a smile on his lip as Francis fly out of the hat and landed on the head of the only female pokemon in the group, Ruby's slyveon. Francis chipped in greeting at the pokemon pushing his chest out proudly.

"The name of my friend is Francis and my own Danilo, If allowed I would like to know your names as well. " He stood straight again placing the top hat on top of his head, and tilting his head as he leaned with both hands on his staff. "Of course, the shining sun Ruby's name I remembered. Your declaration was delightful, but couldnt help noticing that it was missing a crucial element. Some form of music to accompany your words." At that Francis chipped a few tones of a melody, nodding his head in arrangement.

Euphoria Caulfield

In the Lab.

(Addressing: @Amaterasu - Para.5, Interacting: @Sho Minazuki, @MechonRaptor) Edit: for your mercy, just read the last 3 paragraphs if you're bored.

Truth be told? It hadn't taken long at all for Euphie's patience to fray. Fresh start, fresh land, no need yet to grow resigned to apathy or disgust. At least, that was what she kept telling herself. But few things survive first contact with the enemy: least of all, the pure-hearted intentions she could muster. And so far, the sum total of Euphie's interactions with the others had been to weasel through the doors of the lab - find herself caught behind what seemed as a peasants' revolt of yowling children begging for scraps of attention - and that'd been enough for her to promptly march out again. She wasn't ready to deal with such crowds... not yet. The first days were always the worst, the days where she felt the most in doubt, and her doubts brought with them a shielding pall of disgust and hate. At first from emanating from her, and soon enough, inevitably, coming to be reciprocated.

So she retired instead to lean against a crumbling wall in the Pokepark awhile, a ways off from the queues of hopefuls registering their conquering intentions. It was the kind of place she liked the best, far enough that she would scarce be paid mind, but close to keep a trained eye and ear on those she chose to observe. She tweaked the arm of her glasses a little, fumbled in her coat pockets for her cigarettes. The lighter barely had a few drops of fluid clinging grimly to the bottom of the container. Damnit. She'd had to leave so much behind, and it felt as if everything she had managed to sneak with her to Chromis was irrelevant, or broken, or both.

And as cruel as it was to cross her mind, that same observation applied well-enough to Sarin, the Salandit who now quietly scuttled around Euphie's heavy boots, moving in quick circles sniffing at the cobblestone beneath, as if trying to pick up a scent that would never come - even the blindingly pungent odours that Euphie's Skuntank had so often elicited, well, they weren't going to waft across an ocean, now were they?

Hoping to distract her Pokemon from the increasingly-pitiable search, Euphie slowly stooped to pick Sarin up with her gloved hands, holding her in front for a moment. Euphie's hard-fronted eyes making contact with the face of the placid, sorta-vacant looking little lizard. Euphie paused to consider what might become of Sarin then; she did not expect much of anything, but would try to encourage her as best as she could manage, still. "Sarin.", said Euphie with a practised edge of sweetness, "Would you go and scout out the Laboratory, to see if the crowds have dispersed, for me, please?" And setting down the Salandit once more, Sarin scampered off after just a moment, pleased to be entrusted something to do by her usually so-faraway mistress.

The cigarette hung out of the side her mouth, as usual it quelled her nerves a little, one thing but not enough. There was still something missing. Some... itch, always where she couldn't quite touch. Euphie took a closer look at the crowds, and... soon rather wished she hadn't. First there was a girl - yes, a girl, for it seemed as if some errant mother-figure had momentarily failed to keep the creature chained to a post - clad in such gaudy, glittery garb as to induce a churning migraine in all unfortunate enough to witness. And that was before the young beast even opened her mouth! Oh, Gods. Imploring for everyone's attention; before screeching at the top of her diminutive lungs, her prideful declaring that she would rise to triumph. Euphie sucked hard on her cigarette to hear that; it being about the only way she could stop herself from leaping up and pressing this girl, this Ruby into the dust right this instant. But that would be foolish... to challenge now would lead to a pathetic demonstration from both sides, and anyways, the Ruby was a mere child. Children didn't deserve to be struck too harshly for hubris... yet. But give it time, give it time... and Euphoria couldn't help but have an inclination that she'd have the misfortune to stumble across this loud-mouthed girl several times to come... yeah. Then, it would be on.

"Those with the greatest vanity, the most confidence. They're always the most fun ones to see in pieces." murmured Euphie to herself without emotion, as she dredged the spent fag from her lips, carefully flicked the ash-stack from the end... and ground the butt to dust under the heel of her boot. A swift stomp on top of it, just for good measure. Yeah, that all made her feel better. She could see some skirmishing going on as she brushed herself down - the coat was discoloured with dirt and ash-marks for good since long before, but it was still her delusion to keep herself fresh - but Euphie could scarce be bothered to watch it. Her immediate instinct was to dismiss the fighting trainers and Pokemon, brand them weaklings, but she wasn't so delusional as to think that her and Sarin were on a level they could not attain. In fact, she'd probably be poorer than at least one of them, which didn't even bear thinking about!

It's not as if she was significantly older than all of them, but to be unceremoniously sent back to square one after years on the trail... it would take time to accept, fully. It would be no simple matter to reclaim what she had lost - how she had lost it she could still hardly believe - indeed, she'd by now almost forgotten how she'd trained Strychnine and Cyanide to be so effective in the first place.

She shook her head on that subject, cursed incoherently under her breath. "Damn that, and damn this. And where is that lizard. She was supposed to be in, and out again..." She paused a beat to grunt. "Likely absent-mindedly playing with some other Pokemon she came across. I can't blame her for that, but I'd best go after." So it was back into the Laboratory with Euphie once again, and to no small amount of relief, the reception had gone from choked to nigh-deserted in the space of time, save for the Professor herself (who actually looked rather bored with all this as Euphie saw it - understandable), a mangy-looking cardboard box; of the Pokedexes one could guess, and an extraordinarily-uninteresting blue-haired lad currently in conversation with Grevilia. Well, conversation was perhaps honouring it. Rather, he was busy wasting time with physical and verbal fidgeting all at once, stumbling over his words, bemoaning and apologising for nothings... it was rather cringeworthy to bear witness to, but Euphie wasn't so blind as to overlook the fact that she was hardly a social butterfly herself.

Ah, and there was Sarin. Presently nudging the back of the lithe, blue-haired trainer's trouser legs with her long snout. Euphie figured she'd best stride forwards and rescue the situation before the lad became aware of her Salandit's presence, and presumably dissolved into a puddle of his own salty fear-sweat further still. A small mercy, if you will.

Euphoria closed the distance in a few loping steps and chopped straight across the boy's attempts at conversing with the baffled Professor. "Hello, Professor." spoke Euphie almost-haughtily, talking quickly, directly. "You don't know me. I won't waste our time on introductions. A Pokedex, if you'd kindly. I'll be needing it to get my bearings, it'll be put to good use. And one for the boy next to me, as well. Both so he won't come to be lost on the roads, and also so he won't come to suffer a heart failure standing there mumbling, breathing through his mouth. That would be a shame, no?"

Euphoria hadn't really figured it worth her time to bother directly addressing the young man who shared the space across from Grevilia with her, but she noticed out of the corner of her eye that actually, he was far older than she'd presumed going purely off his apparent naiveté. In that case, it couldn't hurt. Besides, the shy ones were always easiest to talk at... talk to, rather. Inclining her head to him, she spoke brusquely. "Hello. Pleasure to meet another trainer. And please don't mind my Salandit, who is... currently trying to lick your ankles, by the looks of things. Sarin's a curious one. She doesn't mean anything by it." And from down by the floor, Salandit let out what seemed to be a few concurring hisses, as she continued to peruse the blue-haired trainer.

As the two signing up for Pokemon contest had reached the end of the line with both of them registered, Sadie parted ways from Ruby with a wave of her hand. The little idol-ish girl returned the gesture with a wave of both her hands, beaming brightly and replied, "Yeah, it'll be lots of fun~! Bye bye until then, Sadie~" While her childish demeanor could label her as innocent but what she didn't know, Ruby had no intentions of losing even against new friends. Berry the Sylveon waved her own goodbye, with her feelers, to Gigaton.

Just when Ruby thought Berry had enough fans over her for the day, a girl dressed very familiarly approached the two Sylveons and started gushing over them. Don't get her wrong, the owner of the preciously adorable Berry was proud of how well groomed and beautiful she was. People complimenting her did indeed feel like she was being indirectly complimented as well but Ruby being the childish teen she is, the little girl couldn't help but feel jealous. "Hi there~ My name's Ruby and this is my partner, Berry~! I still think Berry's waaaay cuter than a Glaceon but I totally agree! You know, I think we'll get along fine, miss...?~" Her voice trailed as she asked for her name.

Berry's feelers were waving happily from all the petting and attention she was receiving today, even if some of that attention went toward the blue Sylveon as well. All of a sudden, the female Sylveon felt light weight on her head and from shock, whipped her feeler atop her head. Not that it would actually hurt at all. She then heard a bird's chipping, causing her blue eyes to look up to see a red bird. Seeing the proud gesture from the other Pokemon, Sylveon made a noise equivalent to a giggle at how silly it was. This girl was a tough cookie, it'll take more than a confident persona to really catch her attention.

Another person who Ruby might've seen along the contest line ('I mean who'd miss someone dressed like that?') interrupted their conversation, yet another person who was fascinated by the blue Sylveon. It was a rare color after all, if they paused to look at the people around them, they would see that other trainers, mostly females in particular, were whispering at how cute it was. Ruby was growing impatient at how all the attention were directed towards either or both of the Sylveons when the boy charmingly introduced himself, to which she giggled at his gentleman's mannerisms, and actually mentioned her name!

"Ehehe, I'm flattered you even remembered my name but of course, after a declaration like that, people would remember me~!" The to-be star posed, her hand gesturing a peace sign at the corner of her eye. Having given a recommendation to have her little performance earlier better, the little girl pondered with a tilt of her head, index finger poking at her cheek. "Weeell, Ruby would've sang if it was one of my performances, but Danny has a point! Maybe a pretty Clefairy singing along with me or a little birdie singing while Berry and I perform would be perfect~!"

Without even really knowing one properly, Ruby was fond of calling people with her own nickname for them and Danilo just happened to be one of the victims them. Realizing where they were and glancing at her surroundings, Ruby noticed that trainers were starting to leave, presumably for their journey. "Um Ruby doesn't know you guys well but you seem to a bunch of fun people~! So I was wondering if you guys, you too blue Sylveon boy, can accompany me to my contest travels! It'll be pretty lonely with just me and Berry..." Ruby used Fake Tears. It was super effective!

Outside the Pokemon Lab - Beryllium City

Talking with Lusitaina (@1Charak2), Sadie (@alexfangtalon) and Leo (@Alder).

"It is a pleasure to meet you. I'm Sadie."

"This little girl here is Gigaton. The two of us will also be participating in the Contests and Pokemon League so that will be fun."

Chance smiled, shaking their hand, Blitzy would look down at the Roggenrola from Chance's shoulder before hopping off, landing onto Lusitania's shoulder and then jumping over to Sadie to greet her, meowing as she stood next to her ear.

"Hey I'm Chance and- well... that's Blitzy."

"I also signed up for the Pokemon League, and Contest... I think i'll be heading to Solder Cave soon-ish. Maybe there's somewhere else I'd like to head first..."

He thinks to himself for a moment, pulling a map out of his bag and looking at it... he actually had quite a few maps, even maps of other regions, though all he needed was a map of Chromis. Geez this place was big, so many routes... so many towns, cities- even a few forests and caves. He wanted to see it all, meet- maybe even catch a ton of cool Pokemon... and of course training and stuff- but..

"How long would it take to explore this whole continent?"

He hadn't realized he said that out loud, just continued looking at his map and imagining all the wonderful locations- all the sights he would see with his pokemon.

"Of course, here you go. Don't worry, what do you think this box is for?", she asked as she pulled a Pokedex from it and handed it to the young trainer. As soon as he received, the professor caught the smell of cigarette smoke,

"You know smoking is forbidden inside the PokePark right? It's still considered inside the building. Well, if you want a Pokedex, here you go. Just don't smoke inside here", mostly because the Pokemon don't like cigarette smoke, with exception to Pokemon like Koffing. This PokePark despite it's name was still an inside facility. Fortunately air filtration technology was quite advanced, so it wasn't a problem if just one or two people smoked, but rules need to be enforced else too many people would feel it was okay. Regardless, she handed the young trainer a Pokedex.

"I'm sure you know how to use one, in case you have any questions, just ask me or any of the Aides", she added.

Novis Shannon | @Healing Station

"Well yeah, I'm not 'new' either. I've raised Pokemon for years now." Novis said, drawing out the words as if anyone cared about his trainer resume. "I'm for the League, personally. Would've signed up back home but you know how it is, what with all the updates and crap."

As he was talking, Nov couldn't help but notice the Gible break out of its trainer's arms with a shark grin and a yell of some sorts. He tried to hold composure, but when it started crying out by his feet, all bets were off snd Nov practically threw his Growlithe at it. Nier, however, was much more interested in meeting the Gible. It was rare he ever got a chance to smell a dragon-type, after all. They seemed to like to eachother, for the most part, based on the friendly yaps and playful hops from Nier. Novis just watched from a decidedly safe distance, before the stranger suddenly remembered that he hadn't gotten his registration done yet, so Novis and the other girl followed behind him as they went to finish up registration. Nier tagged along close behind Novis but kept a close eye on the Gible.

As they were waiting in the thankfully now much shorter lines for registration, Novis continued the conversation. "I'm Novis, by the way. So, you're doing League and contests? Everyone I've talked to today said that. Kinda feel like I should try to, but I don't got much of a 'brand'..." He said, sliding his hands into his pockets. He could feel the weight of his backpack weighing on one shoulder, a sudden sentiment of what was to come after he left Berlyium City. Now that practically everyone in the building had registered for what they wanted, there was little else to do but what any individual wanted.

"Say..." Novis suddenly locked eyes with the stranger, giving a confident grin. "Which way you two heading after this? I'm heading West, but it'd be way smoother a trip with some buddies on the way, y'know?"

Sage Monsoon

Sage watched Morgana (as Halloween Girl had introduced herself) as she went through her antics, running roughshod all over the Laboratory as she went to sign up for what looked like both the League and Pokemon Contests. Sage raised an eyebrow.

Ambitious of her, taking on both at once. Maybe I should... nah. Focus on the League. That's what I'm here for, after all- won't get me anywhere to get distracted.

Whatever the case, Morgana returned from her amusing display, slightly out of breath, and decided to communicate a proposition toward him, Luft floating seemingly oblivious at her shoulder.

“So, uh... Sage, are you interested in joining forces? Even if just temporarily, but I think it’d be wiser if new trainers traveled in groups. I don’t know the area and I’d rather not get mugged or get lost and die of starvation.” Sage's eyebrow raised again. He had to admit, it was a logical proposal. The two of them would do better with one another than alone. Mostly, it would give Sage and Reynardine someone to spar against while they were in towns or in an area with few wild Pokemon, and vice versa for Morgana and Luft. Sage pondered the idea for a moment longer, then nodded.

"Sounds like a plan to me," he said nonchalantly. "I was gonna be heading east, toward... uh... that island place. I forget its name, but I was looking it up on the way over here from Alola. There's Poison-types that way, and a Poison gym. And since Rey's a Psychic-type, it would be a good place to practice for us. Y'know? I'm not sure how well you and... Luft, was it? How well you and Luft will do against Poison-types, but Ghost isn't particularly weak to Poison, is it...?

"...I'm rambling. Long story short, yeah. As long as you're okay going east, we can team up."

"Haha! Glaceon is much much cuter! But I totally agree! I think we would as well!" she said joyfully. "My name is Lucifina, but do call me Lucy." She smiled as she turned towards Zap. "This is my Elekid, Zap."

Not long after introducing herself, another person made their way over to them and introduced himself. Lucy couldn't help but chuckle at his mannerisms. To her it seemed a little much but this kind of thing isn't bad every now and then. "I'm Lucifina but please do call me Lucy. This is Zap." Introducing her Elekid

Lucy couldn't help but laugh at her little adorable act. With a slight blush, "I'd be happy to, you guys seem so amu--interesting, after all. How could I say no? Having company makes a journey that much better."

Talonite

Talonite shrugged as he followed York to the League Registration Desk. "Already signed up. You sure do smile a lot ya know. Kinda reminds me of someone." He said as his mind flashed back to the Champion who had effectively disbanded Team Skull.

"What university are we talkin about?" Talonite asked as an after thought.

York Grevillia

@floodtalon

"Hm? Yeah. We have a university here. Almost everyone working in this place studied there at some point", he responded. He got himself signed up for the league as they spoke. Ren the Froakie was busy sitting by itself contemplating the last battle. As soon as that was done, he turned back to Talonite.

"Well, I think now is a good time to get going. There's a nice little cafe along Route 9 for lunch, then we should be at the university before sunset... If there are no delays", he suggested. Not to mention there should be a bunch of wild Pokemon by the lake and along the route itself. Would be a good chance to get a water or something type into the party, or anything else.

- Pokedex Line
- Interacting with: Euphoria Caulfield (@Lichthart) in the presence of Professor Grevillia (@Sho Minazuki)

Ryan took a deep breath of relief when her heard the Professor's words, a content smile finding its way across his face despite feeling semi like an idiot. He hadn't taken notice of the box that was filled with pokedexes just for the occasion, making him laugh rather silently to himself as his smile turned into that of a embarrassed wince. The smile was still there, but his left arm was now scratching the back of his neck, along with his eyes being closed. And even though he felt somewhat out of place, he did feel a tad bit of assurance in his actions. After all, even if she had teased him a bit, it was good news that she had such a surplus, which made sense given the situation.

Which soon took a drastic shift shortly after he received his pokedex. The once clean smell of the air around him was tainted with the stench of smoke emitting from someone approaching. He coughed a bit due to the smell, soon noticing a girl somewhere around his own age cutting everyone off and soon demanding her own Pokedex. Well, at least it was said somewhat nicely with the kindly part, he thought, but he wasn't prepared for what she said next. It caused him to freeze up like he'd done a thousand times before, his eyes widening when she insulted him basically to his face. He... He wouldn't get lost, he thought! Sure he was getting a pokedex, but he had a plan of where he wanted to go already. But, that wasn't the main problem in her evaluation of him.

It was how she made him notice he was being much more awkward than he had originally thought. Was he really mumbling that bad? It made his embarrassment become replaced with a kind of shame, the same kind of shame he often felt when in the presence of his mother. Critical, rude, and kicking him while he was down... And yet, all he felt he could do was freeze. At least, until the professor began speaking about how smoking was basically banned in the place. That made sense, and right now he needed some sort of logical thinking to keep him from doing something stupid. Because deep inside him, he wanted to do something rash like tell her off, but a majority of him silenced that voice, silenced like it had been on multiple occasions.

Instead, he took another deep breath, this time to calm him down from this intrusion of this girl, whom, if Ryan was being honest, wasn't entirely sure how he felt about her. His first impression was that she was probably just another rude person, but maybe she was just condescending? He wasn't sure how that made her better, but it sorta did in his mind. He turned to face her this time, placing the Pokedex in his pocket just in case.

"I, uh, don't mean to be rude, but um, you could... probably treat others with, uh, a bit more respect..." He said with uttermost confidence, or at least with his very best. Though, his constant uh's and um's made it seem less so.

Roxanne Hart

Location: Beryllium Lab
Interacting with: @Deos Morran & @Sen

Roxy was animatedly talking to Aiden, until she noticed someone new come up to them both. She didn't mind, as he seemed friendly enough and she was always willing to make friends with strangers. Her first impression was that he seemed...almost afraid of Zorex? Seeing as he asked if the little Gible bites, she wondered if he'd had some bad run-in with one before. He then went on to apologize for asking, causing Roxy to smile just a bit. At that point his gaze shifted to her, causing her to grin wider. After all, she wanted to come off as friendly as possible. She remembered someone once telling her that she smiled too much, which just seemed crazy to her. How can anyone smile too much?

"New trainers too, yeah? You guys doing Contest or League?" Roxy nodded, having only been a trainer for a couple weeks. She also figured that she'd end up doing both the contests and the League; why not experience all Chromis had to offer? "Yeah, I'm pretty new to all this...I've only been at it for a couple weeks. I'm planning on doing both the contests and the League. What about you?" She glanced at Aiden as he answered the same questions, her eyes widened a bit in surprise. Eight years? No wonder he'd beaten her. Roxy suddenly felt a good amount of respect for her fellow trainer-as well as a degree of competitiveness. She had quite the competition, then, huh?

"Come on guys let's walk and talk. I'm not sure about you guys, but I still need to register and it looks like this will be our last chance." Roxy suddenly remembered that she also had to register for the contests as well as the League...she'd been totally distracted by the prospect of a battle that she totally forgot. She followed behind Aiden, registering for the League just after he did. The trio walked and talked, and as they did Roxy managed to catch a name: Novis. Afterward came the contests, which she was definitely excited for; it was pretty obvious, given that she was giggling as she filled out all the registration forms. Finally registered for the contests and the League, Roxy turned to look at Lucina with an excited grin. "You excited for this, Lucina? We've got quite the journey ahead of us here."

"Which way you two heading after this? I'm heading West, but it'd be way smoother a trip with some buddies on the way, y'know?" Roxy looked back up at him, noticing the grin on his face. Guess he lightened up a bit, then? "Ummm, probably toward the Zamak Ruins. If you joined up with us, that would be, like, the best thing ever."

Morgana Lockwood

@EnterTheHero

Morgana reached into her pocket and pulled out the Town Map she had bought at the local tourist shop once she had arrived into the region. As Sage began to ramble, Morgana briefly scanned the map.

“You mean ‘Arsenic Island’?” she pointed to the mark on the map. “It’s not too far off,” she mumbled. It wasn’t in the direction where she wanted to go, but it seemed like a remote location with less people and more Pokémon. Right now, more than anything she needed to get more Pokémon under her belt more than anything, and a remote island didn’t sound like a bad idea. Although she wasn’t sure how she felt about poison types.

“Nah, poison types aren’t a problem for ghost types. But…ghost types don’t really stand to gain any advantage against them either. Probably just gonna have to go about it versus sheer power alone.” She had hoped that she would be able to find some more Pokemon to gain more coverage in her team, but she didn’t know what she would find on that island and decided it was best to just wait and see what she found.

“Are you all ready to go or do you need to finish up some things?”

Euphoria Caulfield

In the Lab.

(Interacting: @Sho Minazuki, @MechonRaptor)

Ah, now this was more like it. The Professor across from her, deigning to stand by so prim, so properly. The hair tied back by a band, the disapproval tied back by a thin veneer of professionalism. And the blue-haired boy on her right, shifting and twisting on his legs to ease his tension, gasping and swallowing his breaths as if he'd spent an hour sat underwater.

The Professor looked to her, made eye contact. Euphie returned her look coolly, silently for the moment. "You know smoking is forbidden inside the PokePark right? It's still considered inside the building. Well, if you want a Pokedex, here you go. Just don't smoke inside here." An order which elicited seemingly no reaction from the girl. Grevilia proffered the Pokedex, and Euphie's gloved right hand slunk out snake-like from the coat pocket into which it had been stowed. She made no sudden moves, did not thrust out to snatch the device (as one might expect). Instead, her motions were moreso reminiscent of a distrustful squirrel sniffing carefully at the food in a stranger's palm. With the pace of the handing-over being noticeably and uncomfortably slow, Grevilia spoke again, "I'm sure you know how to use one, in case you have any questions, just ask me or any of the Aides."

Euphie's expression stayed blank, she inclined her chin just a little as she stowed both hand and Pokedex in the safety of her pockets once again. "Appreciated." said Euphie. "And yes, it shouldn't take me long to figure the device." An indulgent little pause. "As for the smoking policy? Well, I'm sorry." - Euphie's tone predictably dry and incinsere as that apology was drawn - "...But I doubt you have much to concern yourself with smoke, anyways. What little these cigarettes can elicit; were they to be any older, any more - spent? They'd be your career ambitions." It was a crass comment in itself, but it was made worse by the fact that Euphie uttered it completely casually, deadpan. Not a hint of a nasty smile, just as if it was pure statement of fact.

Naturally, this slight thrown-out from Euphoria sent the already-sweating lad standing next to her into what seemed to be some kind of overdrive. He cleared his throat, licked his lips while the silence reigned. So Euphie gave just the slightest turn of her neck, surprised and curious to see him preparing to speak. In return, he too turned to face off against her, trying his hardest to keep straight face (devoid, she supposed, of chattering teeth and grimace). "I, uh, don't mean to be rude, but um, you could... probably treat others with, uh, a bit more respect..." She waited patiently for him to finish his rather meandering address, her face starting to split into a seemingly-encouraging smile as he went on. For the young Euphoria, it was an adorable - and unexpected - sight. His stutter continued to drag him down, but underneath? She would be brain-dead if she couldn't smell the conviction underneath. Aww. So he really did care, was willing to put on a pretense at least of standing up for good character. Although she was deeply tempted to cruelly mimic his stutter in her own reply, it was not her way to stoop to the levels of those around her when she could help it. Besides, if he was willing to speak out against her for as small an issue as this, maybe he was a more interesting figure than she'd given him credit for. She'd at least throw him a scrap, for that.

So she smiled to him - it didn't quite reach the blue eyes behind her glasses - and spoke pointedly, "For the help? You're welcome." Then, she crudely daubed her tone in faux-innocence, not unlike the loathsome girl she'd seen earlier. "But oh, do you say I seem disrespectful? That's quite the shame. Why, I'm only here to aid the Professor and yourself." She shrugged nonchalantly, her jacket rustling on her bony shoulders. "Well, I suppose I can be easy to misunderstand sometimes. Nor have I ever been the best with crowds, perhaps they've... put me on edge."

She continued, waving her prior words away with an easy flick of the wrist. "But that's nothing I should concern you with. Instead, my name..."

Euphie paused for a noticeable moment, her mind running quickly but not swift enough. She considered; for the new region, would this be another time to claim a name? An imperceptible shake of the head, no. She was too tired to craft another great lie, a re-invention, a backstory. If old foes wanted her, they'd pick up her scent soon enough anyways. And let them come. Soon, she'd be strong enough to fend them off herself once again. "...Excuse me. Lost my train of thought. I'm Euphoria. You're welcome to call me Euphie, though; or, in fact, whatever you may wish. The import we may assume there to be held in a name means nothing to me..."
