OMG! What luck! A witch loudly parading around using magic right infront of Ky!
And he already has all his tools splayed out before him XD

Heading out now but should have a post up by tomorrow.

<Snipped quote by Xiro Zean>

I could imagine that it's because char kill is neither allowed (so far, in general without explicit agreement I think) nor a desired action (at least that's what I'd expect). However once any hunter recognizes her as a witch, he's basically obliged to do exactly that. So the alternative choice is to not discover her in the first place.

For my part I can add that my character is not necessarily a hunter yet. He has great anger against gnomes because they destroyed his home, but his own biography already bringts him close enough to witches that he is more open minded at not entirely preset. At least that's his current mindset which could be subject to change as the roleplay progresses.

Coming back to the reason I've stated previously, there is one obvious, additional question: Why did Shai decide to go into the lion's cave if it's so risky ?

Probably due to Shai's moral compass that pretty much obligated her to go there help.

And I'm a crazy person that enjoys walking on the tightrope

@Bright_Ops

Master level or no, if Phoebe turns every other hunter against them, then he's gonna have a bad time. Keep in mind, even if they are NPC hunters, I think even a master level hunter might have trouble with that. Plus, any PC hunters that decide to side with her.

Which she very well may try and do if she thinks Shai is dangerous in any capability. I think most hunters would decide to kill the witch, to be honest.

Not to mention, Phoebe has a few more tricks up her sleeve. She has methods of going around obstacles instead of through them. He can't watch her 24/7, and she isn't exactly the honorable sort that would chose to fight a target head on if she can help it.

But we'll see, we'll see~

The young witch continued this little song and dance of hers all around the tavern using light and darkness magic in small ways to get away with stealing, then blame it on someone else entirely to start a ruckus any witch with a trained eye could tell what she was doing but to these drunken idiots were none the wiser.
Noxx

Ky not only has a well trained eye but is constantly paranoid and suspicious.
One man stealing from another in this place is unlikely, but for that many and it all to be noticed by that young girl... It screams suss even if he doesn't notice the magic while he actively looks for it.

None the less his first action won't be a bolt to the head,
(although I'm sure he could get away with it.) there's questions to ask, methods for testing and other more enjoyable ways to kill a witch.

Moreover it all to be noticed only when the young girl starts looking and not anytime prior or later. And the initial event was noticed by her while she was facing the bar and not the other guests. So.... super obvious I'd say ^^

@Noxx You keep calling Hunters drunken bastards, but that's not really what they are. Sure they drink, but it's mostly to either take an edge off or to forget the horrors that they deal with every day. We are not wild, drunken barbarians who's only quality is a burp and a fart. In fact most Hunters are actually easier to be defined by Huntsman or Rangers versus Barbarians or Savages.

If you've seen Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters, think that. Or in D&D terms think a Ranger.

Of which by the way we exist primarily to hunt down monsters and magic, so her being in that tavern USING magic even in tiny ways is REALLY dangerous as we're all trained to not only track and identify supernatural things, but also effectively take them down.

@Noxx One non-drunk hunter with enough situational awareness would be sufficient to blow her cover and let the others attack her. What Samantha does in this tavern is very close to attempted suicide.

@Deos Morran Hansel and Gretel aren't good examples because plot senses and sometimes DnD, hunters like Phoebe doesn't strike me as the magical blood hound type; and a good portion of the hunters here in general id assume are used to going out in woods and caves hunting for big bad cauldron stew wart looking green-skinned witch not some little kid whose stealing....All this said idc lol I did it specifically so someone would call Samantha out on her shit because its funny and I low key want to see how prepared the hunters are

@Noxx How is Hansel and Gretel and bad example? Sure the witches SOMETIMES look different, but their training in this world is basically the same context wise. So to use you own argument against you... "They were trained to hunt boiled, wart covered hag witches." Well we are trained to hunt whiny, egotistical, scaled ones. As well as subtle witches who connive and disguise themselves as normal folk to slip into the ranks of normal humans. So sure we don't look at them and see warts, boils, and bubbling cauldrons, but we see the subtle hints of magic and the guises that magic calls upon others.

In fact be greatful Draco doesn't roll up and actually takes an interest in her. He's been doing the whole witch hunting thing for so long that he'd probably be able to sniff her and smell her witchy-ness.

Yet all this is still besides the point. My statement is still true in that we are not all drunken bastards who are too stupid to tell rock from a loaf of bread as you've so colorfully claimed OOCly repeatedly.

@Deos Morrannow my comments about the hunters themselves was mostly joking but its true I'm not taking the hunters seriously granting I'm more afraid of witches (two of them so far) though there's a little bit more respect for beard and beer belly sama for hunting these creatures.

Also talking about the movie itself there is a least 3 times where both of Hansel and Gretel should have died but plot armor....theres a severe lack of that here

@Noxx Poke holes in the movie all you want. I'm not talking about how good said movie was. Nor even that we are carbon copies of Hansel and Gretel. In fact let me say this now. I actually didn't relaly like the movie. Sure it was a nice action fest and it was sure creative, but I can tell you a hundred things I didn't like about it. But the thing is we are not talking about what was wrong with the movie. We're talking about how Hunters are not drunken fools. And it would appear that I've made my point and you see that you're in some deep shit ICly. So I'm glad to have made said point.

Now if you wanna talking about why Hansel and Gretel is a bad movie, let's do that now that we've established there is no connection to my point and that movie's quality.

EDIT: Sup @EnterTheHero, long time no Pokemon.
