Team Two

You guys are suffering on knowing your surroundings. I can tell you right now that some of your moves are going to be obsolete. Re-read the GM posts. There are clear details that describe where the NPCs are. You also need to know where your characters are. If you never wrote your character being on the second floor, then they are not on the second floor. Actions and commentary will be ignored.

I believed the General was climbing up the stairs. I had Samus and the others still on the ground and she simply stopped as soon as said General passed her and then climbed up said stairs. Then she fired a charged shot by the end of the stairway leading to the second floor. This is a valid post right?

@Holy SoldierHey. Just wanted to update by saying that my list of immediate obstacles has just downsized, so I'll try to have something up by tomorrow night (for real this time... hopefully).

@ToadRopesYou're the last one I'm waiting on before I move us along. I'm basically going to be punishing people this next post for not reading/reading comprehension fail, but it won't mostly be for that. Some of it will be for trying to do the impossible. Team Two is the one getting the most flack this mission and I think it's because they're the largest team. I notice writers tend to do poorly on the reading comprehension side when in a large group because instead of reading the GM posts, you rely on the description of other players and where one person says an enemy is and not where the GM says the enemy is. As far as enemy placement, the GM post should be the sole post you should be relying on for it.

Except, when rereading the posts that everyone from Team two has posted, no one based the position of other enemies from another player's post. For example, you said in the GM post that Brigan was going up the stairs, which Lmp used in his post. I sure as hell didn't mention Brigan in my post and, technically, neither did Bright_Ops. No one has posted anything about a second stairway or anything of the like. I'm not normally one to fight with a GM, second time I've had to say that in these forums, but acting like we're saying things we aren't simply isn't fair to the players. If this gets me kicked from the game, so be it, but don't read the same posts I am and say that there is information in there that very clearly is not. If clarification needs made, mention the writer of that specific post to make sure that you aren't misinterpreting what they wrote, rather than assume that they wrote "Action A caused consequence D and then they took action C to complete things" when they could have meant something else.

A big part of cooperative writing is perception, and if you are perceiving one thing, or we are, and something else was meant, then perhaps some questions should be asked of the writer rather than everyone jumping to conclusions and half the players getting killed off because nobody wanted to clarify things.

I think the line that is the problem is Bright_Ops "Brigan was on the move... away from the battle and towards the staircase"

when the battle is in-fact taking place at the top of the staircase as can be seen in the line from the prior gm post(17 days ago) "he swiftly raced up the stairs...Oswald managed to make it to the second floor"

finally the general is on the stairs already "General Brigan was leisurely marching up the stairs"

so Oswald is at the top of the staircase, thus moving towards/up said stairs is going towards the battle not away. which basically makes everything in reaction to Luigi's "the general is abandoning us" invalid, because the general is not running, he is actually joining the fray.

that's my read on the situation anyway

@DracoLunarisThere's some more posts though that are misconstrued because a writer wanted to ignore an entire situation. I'm telling you, consequences. I'm not going to bother arguing with anyone about it because I know where all the mistakes are and they are easy to see if the turns are just proofread. I see them as they happen and I don't ask the writers to correct them because that would not only make this mission level A and not C, but I wouldn't be able to hand out consequences. Consequences teach the writer to pay attention and think. They also help writers grow because a lot of writers can't handle seeing their characters getting hurt, and if they can't handle that, then they need to leave this game and go RP in Mary Sue Academy. This isn't even a Delta mission where the consequences and possibility of death are higher and mission difficulty greater. Delta is only going to be granted to few characters and writers who have demonstrated they could possibly handle a more challenging mission.

I'm going to just go ahead and write this GM post since we're just waiting on Toad. That way, when he posts, I can easily make tweaks to the Team Two section, but I will have the other sections done. This post is going to be very significant story-wise.

Also clarifying, I won't post the GM post until after Toad posts for his character. He has one more full day.

Figured some fresh blood for this would be appreciated, so here's a character reservation/registration for you.

Hope it's alright. I await your possible criticism.

@RaddumYou should have consulted with me first because Handsome Jack is not going to be dead. He's going to be alive and one of the bad guys in this game too, which is why I tell people they're not going to play villains like...at all. The only way they can is if they choose to GM a mission.
