Name: "J"
Title: X9-1045
Age: 44
Gender: Identifies as Male
Allegiance: Demons, albeit unwillingly
Race: Robot
Height: 2 meters
Weight: 94 kilograms
Personality: J would rather not be fighting. After spending nearly all his time from his creation doing nothing but gun down enemies in a endless war, J wanted more in his life than violence. But he can't escape the Nexus, and because of it J is very morose and apathetic. He finds simple pleasure in his life with music and being with his loved ones, and taking that away from him is cause quite a mess. For better or for worse, J has emotions. He would say that it's thanks to his emotions that he's lasted this long. Though he also isn't afraid to admit that there are times where he just "shuts off" and lets himself do unspeakable things without a second thought. It's not easier, but it's necessary.
History: J, a name that he made up himself, is an X9 series assassin android made by the Machina of Man. He was the 1045 model, sent to various conflicts around the Nexus en masses to suppress populations and uprisings. They generally fought against insurgents and rebellions within the Machina, and the X9 series were good at it. J, or X9-1045 at the time, was one of the best. Built with an experimental emotion chip he wasn't like the rest of his kind who didn't care about their self-preservation. They'd walk right into a hail of gunfire just to get a few more shots off. But not J. As he went on more missions he started to make choices for himself. He started to feel scared, worried, concerned. He didn't want to die. This allowed him to avoid the dangers his kind fell for, dodging attacks, setting up traps, and generally fighting smarter than the rest of them.
But it also made him realize how pointless everything was. He fought endlessly for years, never knowing true victory. After every battle he simply went back to the factory and awaited further orders. Some battles they won. Some they lost. But nothing had changed. J had been fighting battles for over thirty years and he isn't sure if they're any closer to winning or loosing. One day, after an intense battle with the forces of hell in some ruined city lost to time, J went off the grid. He isn't sure how he pulled it off. But all he knew was that he lost contact with the rest of the Machina forces, and despite spending days trying to establish a link, he couldn't get through. He thought about foot-slogging it back to Hyperion but made a different decision. He'd leave them all behind; all the fighting, the Machina, the Nexus. He'd try to find a way out.
He never did. But J did find something better; something to live for. Her name was Coco. Lil Sweetie. In the ruins of that city, J came across Coco and decided to start a new life with her. He fled the ruin city, avoided patrols by the different factions. He tried to live in Neutral areas and for a short while it worked, until the local wildlife found them and they had to be on the run. But that didn't matter to J. He had Coco, lil sweetie. He also had music. He always thought it was corny how some commanders would blare music over a battle as if it's suppose to help, but J found music more useful when relaxing. Even though they were always on the run, J and Coco lived a good life.
Then one day, Coco vanished.
J had no idea where she went. He looked everywhere. Asked everyone. Until one day he was approached by some demons who gave him a very clear message: they had Coco, and if he wanted to see her again, he had to do what they said. It was bad enough to fight for the Machina, but J had very little interest in fighting for the demons. But they didn't need him to fight. Oh no, it was even worse. They wanted him to go back to the Machina and spy on them. And to make sure that he didn't try anything funny, they wired him. Using some sort of demon magic, they made it so they could hear and see everything that happened around J. If he tried to tell anyone about them, if he tried to escape them, they'd do horrible things to Coco.
So J had to accept their deal. Eventually, he returned to Hyperion. Although the X9 series had been long since replaced, he resumed active duty among the Machina so the demons could spy on them. As if he ever wanted to see Coco again, he'd have to do this until he could find her.
Powers:
Aim Bot - J has very good aim. So good that he could make precise, split-second, neigh impossible shots instantly. Not just bullets either; anything that moves kinetically he could line up and make it hit it's mark either directly or in a series of improbable ricochets.
Radar - J has a very wide-range radar that allows him to detect various things. He could pick up heat signatures, vibrations, sound waves, or even magic. He can also mark things in his Radar so he'll always be able to see where it's at, such as allies or enemies.
Robotic - As a robot J doesn't have to worry about nearly as many things as others do. For starters he never sleeps or tire, so he can be active at all times. Also because he's a robot he's immune to things like poison or hallucinogenics, and he doesn't need to breath. Water doesn't bother him even if it does touch exposed wiring so he can be completely submerged without a problem. Dirty tricks like hitting him in the nuts or throwing dirt in his eyes does nothing to him, not even inconvenience him. Physically he is stronger, tougher, and faster than your average human, though the X9 models don't really compare to better versions nowadays. Still he's better than most humans.
Programmed Learning - If there's anything J doesn't know how to do, he can learn how to do it very quickly. Whether it's something as mundane as cooking or more complicated like operating super weapons, as long as the information is in the Machina database he can access it and utilize it fully.
Weapons:
Auto Pistols - A pair of fully automatic anti-material handguns. Not intended for human use. Only robots and other super-humanly strong characters can use these guns without breaking their hands. It doesn't ever need reloading as the ammunition comes from a matter replicator. These pistols can also be charged for a single, more accurate and powerful shot that could be used to pierce through heavily armored foes.
Equipment:
Saxophone - If there's one thing that keeps J sane in this crazy world, it's music. With this instrument J keeps his robotic spirits up and gives him hope that he can find Coco.
Other:
Doesn't like rainy days.
