@Lmpkio@Hylozoist@Bright_Ops@DracoLunaris@Etherean Fire@Lugubrious@ToadRopes@Zarkun@Guardian Angel Haruki@WingsOfBronze@RokkuHoshiAll right; so we're going to be losing two more characters this round. I just want to remind everyone that this is a Charlie level mission, which is only a step down from Delta-level. This is not an Alpha-level mission where I am so forgiving that it is almost pathetic. Some of you guys either A) just don't have the right character for this mission (or maybe even this game and how it is run), or B) you're overconfident and your character isn't making wise decisions. I would have to be a pushover to not punish those mistakes. Unfortunately, because we're at the last phenomenal boss, those mistakes are very costly.
I am going to PM those writers and let them know of their character deaths this round. They are free to work on second characters if they don’t have some reserved already, which will replace their primary ones, however, those characters will not be added to the mission currently running. I also ask those writers not to be a spoil-sport whiny shit because I like to believe that I have mature adults in this game. It's not the end of the world and hopefully, you'll make sure deaths as glorious as Mario's was.
If any writer experiences character death in the future, then regardless what level their character was when they died (not only XP level but Team Level (A-D)), they will be starting in Alpha Team. Their new character will also be level 1. If we ever have a surviving cast of characters that actually reach level 10 and beyond, then characters who are behind will receive XP boosts, so don't worry about ever catching up with the veteran characters. I got you. I have thought this all through.
I want writers to see character death as a way to reflect on mistakes. While it adds a nice level of drama to the game and reminds other players of the difficulty of the mission, if you can’t handle character death, then this game may not be the game for you. As I said initially, I do not actively seek people out to kill them. Everything is decided on consequence of character decisions. You don’t always know what decision was good or bad just like an actual video game, but you can be very strategic about it. Character death is never truly permanent in this game because there are revive items. Revive items are rare though and so who is to be revived is a decision the one holding the revive items will have to make. But also, revive items aren’t always necessary either. Reviving a character could be a mission, and it will more than likely be a Delta-level mission. So if your character isn’t Delta-level, then you better hope they train hard and improve their game.
