@HylozoistI hope you plan on posting this time because if you fall behind, I feel that you will lose inspiration for the game.

I'll try - I've got Sunday basically free to sit down at my desk and write. I've been stuck on my tablet for the last week, which makes writing long posts and formatting them up properly a bit of a challenge (typing in batches of fifteen characters at a time, then having to wait as it freezes up for thirty seconds before helpfully telling me "Chrome is not responding. Do you want to close it?" is about as fun as it sounds).

@HylozoistDo you got Google Docs? That might help. I use that on my cell phone when I can't get around a computer.

As someone who has spent the duration of the campaign doing exactly that (using Docs, that is), I strongly recommend.

I'll give that a try - I'm kind of hoping to find something that's just a plain text notepad with a tiny memory footprint. Tablet is almost five years old and has lived most of it's life in a kitchen, so it is really starting to show its age.

Edit: Google Docs is a little more stable. Just need to copy and paste relevant posts into it (so I can scroll up and check them without having to try and load up Chrome), should make this quite a bit easier.

@HylozoistYou can also use Google Docs on any computer and reclaim posts you've written. They're saved online.

Reinforcements have arrived. Probably not the reinforcements anyone was hoping for, but reinforcements nevertheless.

@LugubriousHey, I'm not going to keep telling you to fix your XP. I am also not going to keep track of it for you, so if you don't take responsibility for making sure your XP is correct, and you wind up missing XP that you should of had, then you can only be disappointed in yourself. It's just a shame and a waste.

All right; so we're going to be losing two more characters this round. I just want to remind everyone that this is a Charlie level mission, which is only a step down from Delta-level. This is not an Alpha-level mission where I am so forgiving that it is almost pathetic. Some of you guys either A) just don't have the right character for this mission (or maybe even this game and how it is run), or B) you're overconfident and your character isn't making wise decisions. I would have to be a pushover to not punish those mistakes. Unfortunately, because we're at the last phenomenal boss, those mistakes are very costly.

I am going to PM those writers and let them know of their character deaths this round. They are free to work on second characters if they don’t have some reserved already, which will replace their primary ones, however, those characters will not be added to the mission currently running. I also ask those writers not to be a spoil-sport whiny shit because I like to believe that I have mature adults in this game. It's not the end of the world and hopefully, you'll make sure deaths as glorious as Mario's was.

If any writer experiences character death in the future, then regardless what level their character was when they died (not only XP level but Team Level (A-D)), they will be starting in Alpha Team. Their new character will also be level 1. If we ever have a surviving cast of characters that actually reach level 10 and beyond, then characters who are behind will receive XP boosts, so don't worry about ever catching up with the veteran characters. I got you. I have thought this all through.

I want writers to see character death as a way to reflect on mistakes. While it adds a nice level of drama to the game and reminds other players of the difficulty of the mission, if you can’t handle character death, then this game may not be the game for you. As I said initially, I do not actively seek people out to kill them. Everything is decided on consequence of character decisions. You don’t always know what decision was good or bad just like an actual video game, but you can be very strategic about it. Character death is never truly permanent in this game because there are revive items. Revive items are rare though and so who is to be revived is a decision the one holding the revive items will have to make. But also, revive items aren’t always necessary either. Reviving a character could be a mission, and it will more than likely be a Delta-level mission. So if your character isn’t Delta-level, then you better hope they train hard and improve their game.

@Holy Soldier

I'm actually kind of horrified about how bad a Delta level mission is going to be...

Through in fairness, most of the difficulty from this mission (at least from Luigi's team point of view) has largely come from their 'ally' Brigan.

@RokkuHoshiWhen the mission is over.

@Bright_OpsI'm only going to give Delta missions to those writers who I know can handle it. So if a writer stays Alpha the whole game, or Charlie the whole game and never goes up, there's a reason. Delta is not impossible or even close to being impossible. I am just unforgiving and punish stupidity when I see it. I also challenge the writers to be creative. You think this mission is difficult lol...Delta mission is going to look like the apocalypse, but as I said, it will be do-able. I won't say Dark Souls-level because I'm not cheap like that game lol. I will be challenging those characters to get out of my traps though using solely their imagination and common sense or even pseudo-logic (since this is fictional).

...Be honest with me, how bad was my stupidity as Luigi for this mission?

@Bright_OpsYou don't find out anything until the mission is over. Guile will personally let them all know. If your character is still alive, then you're not doing bad lol.

I'm going to try and write a GM post up tomorrow since I got to this so late.

April 6-22nd, I'm going to be out of town and I'll be relying on my cell phone for writing posts. I see this mission being finished in May, and to give a prediction probably 3 turns. All the enemies are here. There aren't going to be anymore. All that's left is to defeat them. I will post a GM post before I leave to give everyone time to write responses. You won't even notice my absence because I'm still going to be responsive in the OOC lol. So you won't even know I left really.

I am taking back the character deaths. I'm writing this post and Oswald decided to do something that I didn't expect for him to do. But because he did it, it will have saved the lives of the two characters I thought at first were going to die due to their decisions. Do not take this as a mercy from me lol. I'm just writing this post according to pseudo-logic (since this is entirely fictional but as close to logic as I can make it). But yes, those who I gave the "Letter in the Mail" to you can ignore it. However, I cannot promise that luck will be on your side for the remainder of the battle. Also because of Oswald, I am most definitely certain that this mission can end in 3 rounds. It's going to depend on the actions of every character still alive. All of you have turns and if you don't waste them writing your character twiddling their thumbs, then this mission could finally end.

@Holy Soldier I'm just saying it feels like this mission is taking forever. Do you know how much longer until they're done? Or at least an estimate?
