The day had finally come, Elizabeth had received notice the day prior that today she would be receiving a house guest of the demi-human variety and she could barely hold back the excitement that she felt. She spent much of the day yesterday cleaning the house and making sure that whichever guest she would be looking after would be happy in their new home. She decided that she would wait until she met them before shopping for the welcoming party as she had no idea what their dietary requirements were. She would just feel terrible if her guest was of the vegetarian varieties and prepared a meat feast, or vice versa.

The day was lovely outside however Elizabeth couldn’t help the nerves building inside her she felt as if she were going to burst from the excitement, bouncing on the spot most of the morning staring at the clock waiting for the appointed time. The letter she received mentioned that her guests would be arriving approximately 1pm. She could barely sleep the night before such were her nerves.

She pondered if they would like her, if they were male or female, and many other thoughts ran through her mind. She had been preparing for this day for so long, and now it was finally here she had no idea she would feel this excited. There was only one caveat to her excitement and that was the fact she was so nervous that they wouldn’t like her. However, she knew that these feeling would pass as the seasons do once her guest arrived.
Today she wore a mini-skirt that sat just above the middle of her thighs and a tight top that hugged her body showing off her natural curves. She had chosen this outfit as she had been told that it brought out the very best of her appearance. She had her hair platted and tidy while her eyes, staring through her glasses were a vibrant purple today, she was feeling in a purple mood, or so she would explain.

The hours ticked by slowly while she managed to find activities to keep herself from going out of her mind. She was preparing a simple lunch when she heard the doorbell ring, suddenly her appetite dried up as she stood, her nerves suddenly caught her again causing her to catch herself on the table. She took a deep breath to steady her nerves and strode towards her front door. It was specially modified for even creatures that were twice human height to be able to fit through, like the rest of her house it was designed with monsters in mind.
Opening the door, she saw a Tall man, well tall compared to herself with a shock of brown hair and a friendly disposition about him. She recognized the man immediately as he had been working with her through all the paper work and procedures she had gone through to become a host family.

“Mr Xanders!” she exclaimed with a somewhat squeaky voice in owing to her own excitement.
“Greetings Miss Tyler.” He replied his voice warm and almost honeyed as he gave her one of his best smiles straightening out his suit as he looked over the woman that he himself would have dated in his younger years were he not married. This thought made him chuckle before he refocused on the task at hand. “Miss Tyler, would you mind if we have a quick chat before we introduce you.” He added his tone belying that he was hiding something.
“Sure” She said sounding a little nervous at the prospect of a chat with the man whom was about to introduce her to her new housemate.
“Well…” he says taking a deep breath, “A situation has come up, and we…” he trails off as if thinking how to word what he had to say next.
“I don’t get a housemate today?” she asked the disappointment clearly evident in her voice.
“No, No, quite the opposite in fact.” Mr Xanders responded almost too quickly. “We actually have two housemates for you, if you wouldn’t mind that is, as we need to find a home for both of them and you have a house specially designed to accommodate demi-humans, and multiple demi-humans at that.” He would continue. “Would you accept both of them into your home please.” He asked calmly as if the question wasn’t actually a question but a forgone conclusion.

Elizabeth nodded all excited again, though thinking rapidly about the things she would have to get at the shop soon to better accommodate to both her house guests.
Mr Xanders lead them to a specially designed transport vehicle that could transport any and all breeds of demi-humans and opened the door. Revealing a relatively normal looking boy and girl,
“Introduce yourself guys.” Xanders would say to the pair of demi-humans before continuing
“This is Elizabeth Rose Tyler, your host family” he would add the last part with a touch of pride, as if it were all his doing that they were both there.

Ragna sat quietly inside the running car as she looked through the window beside her to the scenery beyond. Her expression was one of calmness, but inside, she was noting everything she saw. This was the first time she visited the human world after all, so their society was still unknown to her. It was definitely quite the interesting sight. It's a shame that the rule forbid her to go out on her own. It seemed she had to bother her host if she wanted to walk around the city, and being an independent spirit like her made her hate relying on others.

Near her was another demihuman, or, at least that's what he was supposed to be, seeing how she didn't see any demihuman characteristics on him. They both were going to stay at the same house so technically they would be a partner of sorts. In retrospect, she should have asked for his name but her solitary nature made her not want to. They were going to introduce themselves to their host after all and there she would learn his name.

After a while, the car finally stopped. It seemed they had arrived. The good Mr Xanders got out first, telling them to stay there until he returned. Well, she had no plans to go anywhere. It wasn't like she was going to bolt and run or anything.

And then, after some more waiting, Mr Xanders returned, bringing with him their host. Ragna calmly got out of the car and introduced herself to the lady.

"Greetings. I am Ragna of the Wolfang Tribe. As you can see, I am a wolf girl. Pleased to meet you," she said with a little bow. That was how the humans in this country showed their respect to each other, as she had been taught.

She then eyed her host. Hmm, a young lady, probably in her twenties in human age. Bespectacled, showing that she was near-sighted. Cheerful, smiling face, showing her amiability. Good looks coupled with good body. It was a smart choice to wear such a revealing clothes.

Azael

'Well, this is a bit heart-breaking.'For how 'caged' he was after he finished reading the guideline for the cultural exchange program.

Basically, he was restricted of his freedom to move around without the observation of the host family. It would be a problem for such a freelancer and hermit-like lifestyle like him. A shame indeed, for how he had imagined of his own adventurous experience of new cultures. It had been so long since he last seen a city like this.

Perhaps for ninety years already. It would have been great if he could freely roam around and refill the memories what had become of the creations that he and the Gods had participated in creating and governing millions of years ago without bothering the host family.

Still, it would still be a better experience from now on, rather than climbing mountains, staying in caves and sitting in one spot for thousands of hours. Lucky that he was a seraph, a mere immortal being that could not die of hunger or thirst. Otherwise he would have been a dead man by now.

Azael placed away the guideline into his light jacket, as he glanced to his assumed housemate. A young girl with light-colored hair and...a pair of wolf's ears, staring outside of the window. She also casted a glance in his direction as well, but didn't seem to actively engage in conversations with him, and instead continued to stare outside. He would be willing to ask her questions, but that should be left when they actually arrived at the host family house, which did not take any longer after he thought of that.

The car carrying the two demi-humans suddenly stopped in front of a house. It was going to be the house that he would spend probably the next few years in. And judging by the looks of it, it appeared to be a comfortable one. At least...more than a cave that is. Though he appeared to be calm, his inside was ricocheting as he waited for the human that was going to be his host family to appear.

A few moments later, she appeared. Azael waited for the wolf-eared girl to get out before exiting the car himself. A young woman, probably in her twenties, according to human's growing stages. Her hair was plated, her eyes were purple, beautiful she was. Although Azael had to question why she was wearing such a short skirt. A fashion trend, maybe? Or perhaps that's a personal preference. For indoor clothings?

He had a lot of things to be updated.

Being asked to introduced themselves, the girl did so without any hesitation, introducing herself as Ragna, a wolf girl. For Azael however...

"My name is Azael. Pleased to meet you. And..."

The first part was the easy one. Now for the second one, describing himself. Or particularly, his demi-human species.

'Now how do I...'

Explain that he is an angel.

In a good way. A first impression is a good thing, as he heard. But he didn't have the time for hesitation. If he delayed it any further, the conversation would turn awkward. He wouldn't want that for a good impression.

"I'm the Angel of the Gods."

Not a very good way to say it though.

He sighed within his mind as he had to finish up the lasting parts of his page. Putting up the new images that would for the next few shoots be his main focus. He was, in full cosplay form. Having started some videos with other means. Body covered up to some extent as you could pretty much get your hands on quite the long list of materials if needed to make the cosplay look pretty well done. Being it was just something he did to bring some sort of pass time along with the despair it may cause in others was merely an added tid-bit to his own life. He had been on live streaming actually just a few moments before. Which it wasn't hard to do as keeping quiet or making sounds was basically all he'd actually need to do when playing a game or whatever. He just had to make sure it wasn't out of his own characters sex at the time. In this case it wasn't too hard, but some of them could land up being the most ..complex.

To be honest most the people that would come to these things were watching to see what he was, or were their to enjoy the cosplay. They didn't all seem to want to try to get in his pants, only the more thirsty would try to jump down that path. In which he'd just giggle and shake his head with a light blush. It was the same game every time. Of course he'd even picked up on sounding female to some extent from his own range of characters. The use of changing your voice could really help out over all with your depiction of a character at times. Hard, but he'd usually try to set himself in the roll. Have to love all that time in acting class.

He looked over to the door of his room. The room itself was covered with sound proofing on the walls, along with a back part with a green drape that hung down from the poles that seemed to make a rather quick area for pictures if need be. In this room he also had a section that was designed for his make up should he need be, the armoir also held it's own mirror and side mirrors to allow him to see all around to make sure it was right, or to help the one applying it to show him all the sides. This was of course, depending on what he was modeling for or so forth.

Eh, it was to be annoying in most cases, but he'd still relish in the thought of how he could get fun out of proving some people wrong or others right....eh the right part wasn't too fun. He leaned back further in his chair, the white blouse was pulling on the fake breasts that were held with a bra. It was odd at first wearing such things, but he just landed up getting used to it. Thus, he'd often forget about him being full make-up'd at times. Sometimes catching himself to be brushing his teeth or walking around in just the shirt and no pants. Leading to his friends laughing and asking him to pick if he was going to be his usual self or whoever the current cosplay was, aka as his 'model' name.

Before he could fall into his usual pondering of how to make the next move in order to move further up his own social ladder along with that of his connections. There was a buzz to his apartment door. He was in what you could call a 3 bedroom apartment, with the main door being in the other direction of course. He walked out of the room after a quick turn around off his computer chair and walked towards the door. Pushing the button, he spoke into the intercom saying who it was. His voice however, still locked in it's feminine tone.

“Oh, hello. This is for mister Urdien. He had signed up for the program with the inter-species bill. We have his extra species here.” The man said over the com. He basically just sounded like you general run of the mill agent. He had landed up talking to them before and even signed up with papers. They mentioned that basically based on the type of species they may have to redo the apartment. Which is fine, to him in most cases. The complex was entirely open to changing it's line up as the land lord didn't really care to much and was more then open to allowing the extra species to take up residence. He pondered on who it could be as he looked to the cam when he finally walked passed the sofa. He had all the normal luxuries a person could want generally. So long as things worked out and his own investments kept paying he didn't honestly care to much. He just played his console or pc. Watched tv or so forth. He looked to the door for a moment before they came up via elevator he assumed. Realizing for a second his situation he unlocked the door and walked towards the bathroom. Keeping the door slightly open, as he removed parts of his cosplay. He was aware he wouldn't be able get it all off, but the chest piece could be easily be removed. It shouldn't matter to much if the rest of the cosplay was still on. But he did what he could to take some of it off.

“I'm coming in.” Said a voice after a knock. It must have been the agent he was working with originally which was fine. He had already explained to him it was fine to come in.

“Yah it's fine. Just sit down on the sofa like last time. I'll get something for you both to drink.” He said using his more natural voice. It wasn't really rough sounding. More soft, then anything as he walked out, in basically just a shirt and boxers. The white blouse like shirt was hanging loosely over him as he walked into the kitchen with his black and red boxers showing. They were down to his mid thighs. Which was normal for most. He grabbed the black fridge door and opened it, pulling out some juice, apple, orange and grape. Along with taking some raspberry lemonade, and placed them all on a round tray, cups included as he came into the view from the dining room which connected with half doors. It was for the moment he forgot that he still had the nails on. He didn't care to much of all the make up and such, but the nails. Eh it really didn't matter. He looked over to the two of them as he placed the tray down. “So, it's a pleasure to meet you.” He said to the extra-species that now sat in the living room.

Melissa was sitting in the car as she was being driven to her new family, giggling out of excitement all the while. Her mind was being filled with all sorts of fantasies and ideas about who she would be living with. Apparently, there was only one person in the family at the moment, but that just fueled her imagination even further.

The first idea that popped into her head was a gentleman, a very kind and formal soul who would dedicate his life to Melissa and ensure that she was never unhappy. It was a rather simple idea, but oh boy did it ever make the self-proclaimed queen giddy as can be. She loved being treated like the royalty she believed she was, so having essentially her own servant would've been a dream come true.

The second idea was a bit different. Melissa was imagining a maid of some sorts, but she wasn't exactly...skilled. She was very hard-working, yes, but...that's where the positives ended. The aforementioned maid was very, very clumsy, seemingly always capable of finding a way to either trip on apparently nothing or break anything she laid her hands on. Well, she did look kinda cute, but that was beside the point.

The third idea wasn't a very pleasant one. The person in question was more akin to a drill sergeant than a legal guardian, always barking orders at Melissa and scolding her for doing things that she wasn't supposed to. Again, not very pleasant.

The fourth idea, however, was much nicer. Melissa was picturing a younger girl, a little younger than her, who was just the cutest and most energetic little thing. The two would spend hours upon hours messing around and playing games, and they'd even sleep together. Honestly, she liked this idea more than the first one.

However, Melissa and her agent soon arrived at the apartment where her host family lived, which put an end to her fantasizing, at least for now. After a short bout of conversation over the intercom, the two began making their way to the floor where Melissa's new home would be.

Once inside where she would now be living, the first thing Melissa noticed was how...un-royal-like the whole place was. It wasn't super peasantlike either, but she'd prefer something a bit more suitable for someone of her social status. Oh well, that'd probably be fixed at some point in the future. Hopefully.

"Nice to meet you as well, miss!" Melissa responded cheerfully. Her host family looked rather cute, actually. The self-proclaimed noble honestly preferred men over women, but there was no use denying just how pretty the other lady was. Her red hair was especially eye-catching. "My name is Queen Diamond, but you may call me Melissa if you'd prefer. And you are?" Melissa gave a friendly smile.

Faust Arzt

Faust was laying down lazily on the sofa. The television was on, but it couldn't be said that he was in fact watching it, he really only wanted some noise... Ironically enough, he hated silence. He had no qualms about living by himself, but he hated that terrible silence the entire day. It was something personal, he needed his music, his games or at least some type of noise to ward off the terrible boredom that plagued him the last two months.

He was in that moment of his life that you stop and ask yourself 'What now?'. He couldn't say that he had a dream job, but he was satisfied with it. He earned a good amount, was able to work at home... Sure, it was ironic and kind of disappointing that all the 5 years that he spent on the college turned out being useless, at least for now. He had to admit... He missed the college sometimes.

"Not even a single call..." he said, throwing his smart phone up repeatedly in an unsuccessful attempt to ward off the boredom. All the people he used to hang with on the college disappeared. Everyone continued with their lives, some moved to another country, some got married, all of them were so anxious to see where their lives would "start", making plans to their future & etc...

But Faust? No... Faust had no reason for being anxious. He just lived his life, day after day. He had everything he wanted (which honestly, wasn't that much), his books, music, a good home, his computer, good food... Boring? Maybe, but for him, it was the best thing to do.
Many of the young adults these days were excited to see the world, to leave their mark on history... Many of them still nurtured their childish dreams of 'being different' of 'changing the world'...

"I wonder if I were more naïve, innocent and childish... Maybe I could be happier?" he thought to himself, chucking at that thought.
The childish dreams of being an astronaut, of being a police officer! Who knew what the future had reserved for them! Such childish dreams... so fickle, so fragile, and so sweet... Illusions were always much more sweeter than the truth. He couldn't blame that some people clung to those illusions so desperately. These last months he was simply feeling that nothing really excited him. He had no reason to wake up the next day. He even tried to volunteer himself to that interspecies program... Maybe that would change something? Bring something exciting and new to his boring life?

"Wait..." he said, interrupting his old man ramblings as he remembered the interspecies program.
"It was supposed to be today, wasn't it?" he asked himself, taking a moment to look at his smart phone, checking the date.
"Oh nice. It's not today." he said, continuing to throw it up and catching it again.
"I almost forgot about it. Tomorrow I'll make something to welcome them..." he thought to himself, until he was interrupted by the doorbell.

"Probably someone trying to sell something to me again... If I ignore them they'll probably go away." He thought to himself.

"Ahem, Mr. Faust Arzt? It's from the inter-species program." A voice said, coming from outside just as the doorbell rang again.
Faust was so surprised that he forgot to catch his smart phone, which landed right on his forehead.
"Damn! I'm so sorry! I'm going, just wait a second!" Faust said, rubbing the small bruised spot on his forehead, getting up and running to his room.

"Shitshitshitshitshit" he thought to himself, quickly changing his clothes to a navy green cargo shorts and a simple, black t-shirt with a logo of a famous metal band.
He wasn't expecting that... He had nothing ready... No food, tea... nothing...

"Well... at least I cleaned the house yesterday..." he said to himself in a nervous joke, trying to calm himself down. He truly wasn't expecting that. Sure, he was extremely excited, but that didn't help him to think straight and calm down at all.
As he ran towards the front door, he turned off the TV and opened the curtains, to let some of the sunlight come in, after all the living room was looking like a crypt, with all that darkness.

Quickly passing his hands through his hair, he opened the door after good 10 minutes.
"I'm sorry for taking so long mister...?" he asked, with an awkward smile on his face.

On the other side of the door, a rather short, stout man wearing a black suit and carrying a suitcase was impatiently waiting.
"Lewis... You haven't read the message we sent you, have you?" the stout man asked, with a disappointed expression.

"Message...? Uuhhh...." he said, getting his smart phone. To his dismay, there was a big message in the screen, displaying that he had an unread message. How did he not see that? He was sure that yesterday when he was charging his smart phone... Oh... That's right... it was completely without battery, and when he turned it on again, after charging it, he forgot to set up the date and time...

"A smart phone huh? Let me guess, no battery?" the man asked after watching Faust's confused expression as he looked at his smart phone.

"I'm terribly sorry Mr. Lewis. Could I offer you some coffee or something to make up for this?" Faust asked, with an uncomfortable smile.
Faust was genuinely sorry for that. He was known to always be on time for any commitment, but he had completely forgotten about this one.

"Just be more responsible next time... I can't really blame you for that. I'm in trouble myself thanks to those stupid smartphones... They run out of battery so freaking fast..." the man said, looking angrily at his watch.

"Well, I'm already very late to an important appointment, so take these and... good luck." the stout man said with a sly smile, putting all the paperwork on Faust's hands, making a small hand signal for the inter-species to go in and walking away.

"Umm... I'm terribly sorry for all this. It was in part my fault as well. I completely forgot about today." Faust said, putting the huge pile of papers on the desk behind him.

"My name is Faust Arzt, It's a pleasure to meet you. Please, come in! Would you like something to drink or eat?" He said, turning back to see his new guest.

If lamias had feet, Aya would currently be tapping them. Since they didn't, she instead shifted back and forth a little, twirling about on her tail. To go from a society that had no idea what a steam engine was, let alone a smartphone, had taken more than a little book learning, but she was more than happy to be here. If you ignored the trip through the portal, the flight to JFK airport from London Heathrow, then another plane and... Well, to say the least, she had a cramp in her tail. Human aircraft sucked when you were technically about nine feet long. She was here now though! And she was carrying a few suitcases along with her, which the driver had helped her with, so that had been nice.

Especially since the taxi driver had been so friendly. Not everyone she had met had been so friendly. In London it hadn't been too bad, although she supposed that was because she had only been in the airport for about three hours, just long enough to go from one plane, get a cup of coffee, and then go to the next plane, but in JFK it had been awful. She had been strip-searched by security (what exactly could she be hiding underneath her clothing?! It was't as if she was wearing a bulky jacket here- most of her stomach was visible.) who she was pretty sure weren't really actually helping with security, and... Well, no need to dwell on it. She was here now, with everything, and the agent had guided her here.

Tugging along a brand-new black hard-case Samsonite suitcase with one arm, and an equally brand new light blue gym slung under her other, a rucksack on her back, she slithered up and into the building easily, before giving her new host a wave and smiling. "Hello! I'm Aeleisa Petrides, but you can call me Aya. Everyone else I used to know did, so..." She shrugged, then shook her head. "I had coffee at the airport. And the airport before that. And the airport before that!" She grinned. Man, coffee was nice. First time she had tried it she had thought it was disgusting, but it really grew on you, she had to say.

Mr Lewis clambered back in the taxi again- a sleek black, professional and rent-only Mercedes with a driver that looked more chauffeur than your average cabbie, and the car pulled away, leaving them alone. Aya realised that drinking all of the coffee and being unable to really fit into aeroplane toilets was a bad idea, but it had seemed a good idea at the time, and she hadn't known that the damn thing was a dieuretic. Why would any drink make you need to get rid of water unless it was poison? Anyway, since that was her current most pressing issue, but she didn't really want to make it obvious, a less direct question would do.

"Can I get the tour?"

As far as Sara was concerned it was a day like any other. Upon waking up she put on a pot of coffee not because she enjoyed drinking it but because it made her seem more sophisticated and adult-like even if the ultimate result was taking two, maybe three, sips and then promptly dumping the bitter hot brown water down the nearest drain. She wasn't even sure who got her the coffee maker and beans but by this point she was quite sure it was a joke. It was probably Rog from HR. Rog was always getting on Sara's case about improper office etiquette but it wasn't exactly her fault that the company internet had a block on websites or that it documented employees trying to access these websites. Rog was one reason why Sara preferred doing her layout work from home, where she had two monitors and headphones (the latter at the request of her neighbors) and a means to shut out anything other than the images on said monitors.

It could've also been SyDar, a junior member of the Spirits Circle who assumed the best way to get more of their art in the independently produced publication was by bribing the senior members. Where they got the idea that Sara, or SaKay as she was known in the S.C., was a coffee drinker confused her. Maybe they misunderstood her late-night submissions for 'works super late' rather than simply 'doesn't go to bed until super early'. Whatever it was, she had a bulk bag of coffee beans to slowly dump down the drain and she would do it even if it meant having to taste the bitter swill every morning. Or whenever she woke up. Comments on the internet once suggested trying to put alcohol in coffee but Sara couldn't imagine wasting perfectly good booze on perfectly bad coffee. It'd probably only end up with a bitter tasting spirit and Sara was absolutely not okay with that.

The coffee pot was bubbling as the black sludge poured into the mug that was adorned with a cartoon character with a witch hat. Just the character's head as anything below that would likely raise questions apart from the usual "What's that from?". The answer was more a conversation piece than anything else. The character, Frost Witch, was an original creation from the series that earned Sara a position within the Spirits Circle. Frost Witch was a popular character thanks in no small part to Sara's detailed eye for proportions and compromising situations. The group got the initially submitted character piece printed on a mug for Sara's first appearance at a convention as an artist rather than a guest.

While the coffee was pouring itself, Sara was enjoying her breakfast, such as it was, which consisted of two hard boiled eggs and a blueberry muffin purchased a week ago and was already in the process of going stale. The muffin came in a six pack and at the low price it was so difficult to resist. Sara found that the muffins, when appropriately warmed, were a good companion piece to her normal egg themed breakfast. She had more food in the pantry and freezer, but she knew just enough about cooking to make eggs, cereal, and things that either required a microwave or hot water in a single pot.

"I need to buy more eggs." Sara mused when grabbing two from the carton in the fridge. She was down to her last carton and there were just four left. At some point in the weekend a trip to the market was in store. On a good day she came home with twenty four eggs. On a great day that number was bumped to thirty six, depending on sales and coupons.

When the pot dinged, Sara carried her emptied plate and placed it in the sink while grabbing her mug. One sip. A second. Down the drain with the coffee and under the water went the mug. With breakfast out of the way, it was time for the day to continue as normal, which was to say Sara was going to plop herself down in her 'work room' where she was unlikely to return until nature called or hunger struck, whichever came first. Some days she forgot to change out of her pajamas, but today saw her remembering to put on regular clothes. If an oversized navy blue sweater and matching blue shorts counted as regular. If nothing else it had the illusion that the sweater was her only article of clothing, which would've had its fun little benefits if her life was at all like the media she consumed and contributed to on a regular basis.

As far as Sara was concerned it was a day like any other. She had no layouts to worry about as the magazine had just released this month's issue to newsstands and mailboxes yesterday, and the Circle was busy getting their booth for an upcoming convention and Sara would worry about her art closer to con day; not exactly the most time conscious plan but then not everyone had the power of hyperfocus as Sara did. And she didn't even need coffee to do it.

With her time free, she entered the work room and sat on the stool in front of her desk. Two monitors greeted her with an art tablet off to the side, the little light still showing it to be charging. Both monitors were turned on. Headphones were cupped over her ears. Volume was turned up. And for the next foreseeable hours, Sara's time would be consumed by the images and words flashing through both monitors. Nothing could stir her from her natural habitat. After all, this was a day like any other.

Not even the furious knocking at her door was enough to break her attention. She hadn't ordered anything, why would anyone be outside? As far as Sara was concerned it was a day like any other.

The fast-moving scenery of the city flew by while Niyoki lazily gazed out. Drifting her eyes along various objects by the roadside, briefly focusing and examining the object before letting it go, only to refocus on a new item. That is how the hours passed while the yokai sat in the car taking her to whatever new home she was to live in. She hadn't quite understood the reason she was here specifically, especially since she's a Hokkaidan used to cold climates and not... this heat. Gritting her teeth, she decided to endure it for now and not annoy the poor driver. He's got to have it worse, wearing those warm suits inside this cauldron of a car. And he practically lives in this car too. Poor man.

Sighing softly, the yokai decided to compare her own clothing to the driver's as a way to entertain herself as well as pitying the driver for doing his job. Indeed, his suit seemed to be made of wool, sticking to his form as if it sown perfectly for him and him alone. A stark contradtiction to her own rather loose clothing, a soft, red silk dress that hang loose down her body, reaching to her kneecaps. Held up by two straps, the dress began from just above her chests and in that particular region it was rather tightsitting, though there was nothing she could do to adjust that. It is not her fault she was the only Japanese with actually some volume, she concluded to herself. Either way, her clothing was light and loose, perfect for Summer weather, and with only a pair of beach slippers on, she completed her style.

Sadly her loose clothing didn't protect her from the scorching sun that pierced the windowglass and struck her tender skin. Once again she looked over to the driver, her head arching sideways just slightly. She gave off a brief cough. And then she opened her mouth, "Draivah-san, window can down air, yes?" Her question was met with silence, and she could see in the mirror that he was frowning ever so slightly. Was her English really that bad? She gently tapped her cheek while her mind wandered. Right, now she remembered, she once decided to study English, only to never actually do it. Well, it can't be helped, if he didn't understand then she'll let it- Oh, the windows scrolled down. Niyo smiled brightly before gently placing her elbow out the open window.

Her right arm gently tapped her thigh while her eyes gazed onto the streets that just became more and more tightknit before the car finally rolled up to a driveway. The sound of gravel getting crunched by the rubber tires rummaged through the dome on wheels, before the engine finally came to a stop. The sound of doors unlocking echoed before the door finally opened up, thanks to the driver's gracious help. Offering him a nod, she then pushed herself off the soft, comfortable leatherseats, before placing her pillars of legs down. The first thing she did after leaving the wagon was flinching at the shining sun, even offering a soft sneeze in reflex, before finally looking around. It was a fairly nice area, Noyi concluded, and she seemed to not be alone in standing out here either.

That explains a lot, actually. She'd heard that another demihuman would be living with her as well, as if in an attempt to accomodate her to her new home. Hopefully that person would be a kind and friendly one too, Noyi thought while looking at the other person in the yard. Raising a hand up, she gently placed her index finger onto her lips with her head on a gentle tilt before breaking into a bright, friendly smile while waving at the person, "Ohayo! Is you new home? Am Noyi!" She attempted to ask. Again she worried she'd made herself understood while the agents began knocking on the door. Peering over to the door, she walked over with her head tilted while watching the large man fumble with getting the locked door open.

A lock can stop a lot of things from entering, but hair is not one of them. Crouching down, her hair began fluttering while Noyi gently pushed the agent back a little, the hair sliding into the keyhole and before anything else, the door was unlocked. "If no door open, door open!" She stated pridefully while pushing the door open to the seemingly empty house... well, aside from the one closed room with fluttering lights.

There were lots and lots of new sights in the human section of the world. Lots of buildings, lots of products, and not a crazy scientist in sight! It was no wonder why lots of monsters decided to hop on over to the human area, what with what was going on in some areas of the monster part of the world and how backwards it all was over there in most spots. Plus there was no Ramen over there like there was in the human world!

Though needing to deal with all these people in black suits wasn't the most pleasant thing ever. Most of them just stood there stoically and never wanted to chat. Though much like most they recoiled at her touch, after all, many things didn't like touching something that was from the Void, the empty feeling not something many can handle.

Time flew by as she sat there, playing with her dress since she couldn't get a conversation going with the agents. Her boredom was aleviated somewhat when she was finally dropped off at her new 'host human' house. She didn't really get WHY she needed a host human, but considering all the other monsters running around, most of which had super strength like her, it sort of made sense in a weird racist way.

And she had another monster roommate! But apparently this one couldn't speak very good english, instead speaking in a more broken manner. Light wasn't one for proper english either, but she could understand why the agents looked puzzled at the... Yokai? The only bad thing about being from the Void was all the new terms she had to learn, and there were a lot! But at least Light could understand her new roomie way better than the agents could. "Oh Hi. I'm Light. And yep, I'm your new roomie. Just gotta..." Light said, stopping mid sentience as her roomie decided to do a little bit of breaking and entering using her hair. "... And nevermind. Surprised Agent boy over there is all up for that."

Oh we have quite the interesting one it seems. He thought to himself as he looked over his current house guest. He wondered what type of manner did she live? How much was her title true, of course by any means why should he doubt it? She is potentially a queen of sorts. He wouldn't really know. He kept his gaze on her as she brought forth the miss part. It wasn't really uncomfortable for him, just another term, another piece of information that he would easily brush off. He was more then aware of the fact that he couldn't take off all his make up. And most of all he only focused on not wearing the chest. His hair, would always be maintained even when dyed.

Her flesh seemed lovely for whatever she was. It wasn't like they were given a really large statement explaining the species they will have. Mostly it was a loose run down of all the species that could come to them. Which either way he didn't mind. A spider or such probably would require some serious reconstruction. But she seemed humanoid enough that worse case scenario she could even sleep in his own room. Though that was the reason for having other rooms. Which would work out. His spare room should be more then capable of housing her if need be. Her eyes and hair seemed to be very lovely in their own way. Though of course he didn't want to go with she was straight up a ghost. But it's not like that would matter.

“A pleasure meeting you Melissa, my name is Charles Urdien.” He stated with a light smile as he finished up with his own cup. Filling it with juice. Then looking to the agent for a moment before he basically got stared at by the man for a few moments before he stood up. “Well...i'll leave the papers here....and head out..”

“Gah, that's fine. I'm sure Melissa will tell me what she needs if she needs it.” He stated in retort. It was obvious the man had lost some tract in his mind about who he was. Of course the first time he saw him it wasn't after a stream. So it made sense that it would be confusing even with knowing his voice. With a light dark smile he turned his gaze back to the woman in his living room. Moving the tray closer to her before picking up the files. Opening the folder and looking over the pages lightly. The sound of the door closing was more then enough for him to let out a sigh and lean into the parallel sofa allowing his hair to fall together over one of his shoulders as he looked up to the ceiling and laughed abit out loud. He looked back to her for a moment.

“So, Melissa. What is it you are looking for in this adventure of ours together?” He asked her, he was interested in many things at the moment. Though being able to touch her would seem to be a good start. It would allow him to figure out if she was cold or maybe warm? There was many concepts he wanted to put to ease. Along with the thoughts of potential people he could really mess up just by having her around. “I am a man by the way.” He finally added in the end, “The agent just never saw me in my main jobs get up. I just tend to do shows. Of course in our situation, it's better I just come off that way. Better for you to know now.” Though the thought did pain him. He didn't want any weird situation to come up some how from the agents or the organization just because he never told his house guest such things.@GarlandDaHero

Faust Arzt

When he finally turned to see his new roommate, he got speechless. He had never seen a Lamia face to face. Faust knew she was speaking something, but he was simply too surprised to pay attention. She had such a sweet voice and was really beautiful. A lot of questions started popping up on his head. Was she cold blooded? If she was, he would maybe need to take certain precautions on colder days. What did she eat? Was she omnivorous or carnivorous?

"Can I get the tour?" The girl asked, interrupting his thoughts.

"I-I'm sorry for staring at you, miss Aeleisa, Aya, right? It's just that I had never seen a Lamia before, well... not face to face I mean." he said bowing down, apologizing himself, blushing a tiny bit.

"Sorry for making you wait so much outside. It's just that... It's still hard to believe that I was selected to be the host family of an inter-species. Well... I say family, but it's just me really... I hope you're ok with that." Faust said looking to Aeleisa.

"Would you like to put your things in your room? You must be tired from the trip, You've come from really far away, right?" Faust said, closing the door behind them. Her clothes weren't really common there, so he supposed that she lived very far away.

"Since you have already drank coffee in the airport, I can make something for you to eat, if you want to. Any preference?" he asked, looking to her. He didn't know what she ate, but he didn't want to ask that right away, as it would sound rather indelicate and rude, instead he opted to ask about her personal tastes.

"It may not look like it, but I'm actually a very good cook! Well... In part it's because I really like to eat good food, soo..." he said, laughing. It would be nice to have someone to eat his food as well.

"Your room is just down the corridor. It's just next to mine, so if you need anything you can just call me and I'll hear you. Come, I'll take you there." Faust said, extending his hand to her, with a kind smile. He was really happy to have someone else living with him. He wouldn't have to put up with that terrible silence anymore, plus, she seemed to be a very nice girl, and pretty too, he had to add...

"Oh, do you want me to help you with your luggage? Don't be shy to ask, I would be glad to help you." he said with a kind and warm smile.

When the first of the two demi-humans that were sitting in the car got out, it became apparent to Elizabeth that she had wolf ears and a tail. She was the most adorable thing that Elizabeth had ever seen and she couldn’t help but smiling as she looked over the girl who surprisingly didn’t appear that much younger than herself. ’maybe that’s why they paired her with me?’ she thought to herself as she listened to the girl introduce herself.

"Greetings. I am Ragna of the Wolfang Tribe. As you can see, I am a wolf girl. Pleased to meet you,"
“The pleasure is mine” Elizabeth would respond with her cheery disposition showing through her tones, it was all she could do to stop from bouncing up and down on the spot.
She would still be beaming as the young-looking man climbed out of the back seat and introduced himself as well.
"My name is Azael. Pleased to meet you. And..."
He seemed to pause at this point which piqued her curiosity,
'Now how do I...'
She would wait patiently for him to find the words to finish what it is he wished to say, it was obvious he was unsure about something.
"I'm the Angel of the Gods."
With this final statement, she would smile and bow slightly to them.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you both, As Mr Xanders has said I am Elizabeth, though do feel free to call me lizzy, everyone else does.” She would say as she looked them over deciding that they were both very good looking, and that she needn’t have had the extensive renovations to her house that she has.
“If you don’t mind Ms Tyler, I have other pressing engagements today.” Xanders would say handing over a portfolio as thick as two binders full of information and paper work that she would have to complete. Before he fished out two ID cards and handed them to her. “Your ID’s for when you leave the house, please make sure to carry these at all times.” He would continue before closing the car and leaving.

”Well” Elizabeth would say as she watched the car leave “Shall I give you the tour? And please if you have any special needs, let me know, I’m happy to help in any way I can.” She would say making sure that they understood she was at their disposal as long as they were living with her.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you both, As Mr Xanders has said I am Elizabeth, though do feel free to call me lizzy, everyone else does.”

Wow. She wasn't confused over the fact that he's an immortal seraph, despite having literally no visible trait of one?

That's a rather very rare case. Really.

Even the agents didn't believe him in the beginning, and he had to give them a rather show-off demonstration. You almost never got to see people believing in angels and gods, not to mention an angel in a humanoid figure, and a rather modern and good looking body like this one. Nevertheless, it was indeed funny to see their dumbfounded face when the shadow of his wings appeared.

She accepted the fact that he was an angel that easily?

He surely didn't regret transferring here, despite being restricted of his freedom. Funny and ironic, because of the inverse position he was placed in. Thousands of years ago, he was governing humans, and now the humans were governing him. What goes around comes around it seemed.

"I don't believe I have any special needs. Or rather the opposite."

If she had problems that might arises because of his stays. Basically, he just needed a soft place to rest, and a bathroom for personal hygiene. That was already enough for his comfort. A seraph he was, no need for food or drink, although recently he had the tendency to eat and drink as a habit, and for the sake of cultural enjoyment.

"This may be a little bit early to ask" He asked "But specifically, what are some of the activities that we are going to do in this cultural exchange program anyway?"

The Duchess

The Duchess knew what day it was. It was the day she had been trained for. A chance at true justice. Lady justice was blind. And ironically, darkness engulfed the duchess too. She felt her way through her surroundings, searching. Desperately she punched her hands everywhere. Alas, no sound, no movement. Just darkness and tickling. Boom! She hit something.. eh.. ‘Oh-oh’
“Hey! Stop that.”
A man’s voice? She felt her whole world shaking. But there came a light in the darkness. Before her eyes there appeared a ray of light. Reaching her hand forward, she could actually touch and move the darkness. And the light was glorious! It was fantastic! It was.. it was so very bright…
Her eyes started to hurt.

Dolores lifted her head out of the box she was in. Blinking and with a bit of pain in her eyes, she looked over at agent smiths, who now aimed the flashlight at herself.
“It’s ok, Duchess. The boys have had a long day. ” She looked to the left to find an angry looking gentleman in green and brown clothes sitting next to her. “We don’t get payed to be punched by non-human box crawlers!” And with those words, her little fantasy bubble burst.

She wasn’t a real superhero. She even needed help for just moving from the military. The military!!.. In the comics, these guys were always late to the party, just really ineffective or even the bad guys… Without saying a word, she sank her head and lowered herself back into the box she was in.
“That’s enough, soldier. You’re giving me 50 as soon as we get back to command, you hear me?”
With a surprised look the man heard the words. With a clenched fist and a grumbling tone he answered: “Ma’am, yes ma’am…”. As he now looked away, the truck came to a halt.

Agent Smiths stepped out of the truck and the soldiers started moving the boxes and metal crate into a van. She took the time to inspect it all when she couldn’t help but notice how the duchess was still in her box. She walked back to the car. “Eh, Dolores? You can move to the car now…”
The duchess replied muffled from within the box: “I don’t want to… leave the box behind….” Agent Smiths made an uncomfortable smile. “The others boxes are all going to be moved too.. and besides.. why do you carry that thing around anyways?” Her head popped back out of the box and so did her feet on the other side. “I just like it, ok?” She put up a frown. “And I don’t like to be called Dolores…” She muttered. Agent Smiths smiled for a moment.
“Alright. I’ll make certain you arrive safely at your new home. All boxes included, Duchess.” Dolores smiled with excitement. “Ok.” She lifted the foam filled box and rushed over to the car. She nearly bumped her tendrils into the door.

The duchess was in the car. Slightly nervous. Looking over to the agent and wondering “who would I be staying with?” She really wished she could see into the future from time to time. Looking out the window she saw something she had never before seen in her life. “What are those tall things? They look so grey and unnatural…”
Miss smiths came to the realization that her training program might not be entirely perfected yet.
“Those are buildings, dear. You will be staying in one. Or rather… your home will be staying in one..”
The wind blew heavily as the car pulled to a full stop. It was still dark and would not be long before the night would end. Agent smith opened her window slightly. “It seems we are a bit early. Well, I guess you get to spend a little extra time together.” Dolores now put the box on her lap.

She opened the car, gave the sign to the military movers and approached the door. “Would Nick be up?”

Ragna Wolfang

Ragna looked curiously at her partner when he introduced himself. An angel? That was a rare demihuman species indeed. Even back home, she only heard stories about them.

Her host then introduced herself as Elizabeth, or Lizzy for short. Ragna thought she wouldn't call her with the latter however. It simply felt improper to the serious girl. They just met after all.

When she asked if she had any special needs, Ragna remembered her kind's little "condition" when they were under the full moon. They would seek others of their kind to mate, as normally, wolfman preferred to live alone or in small groups. That was how they kept up their numbers and not went extinct.

Basically, she would be in heat.

"Yes, about that, I would just warn you that under a full moon, I will be locking myself inside my room. Please ignore any odd noises you may hear," she said to her with a slight blush.

"Oh, and I also would like to look around the city. Seeing how I need my host to always be present when I walk out, I would need you to go along with me, Miss Elizabeth," she added.

Shau

Shau was tidying up her small apartment for when her monster came in. It had to be neat and beautiful. She arranged the cosy blankets on the worn out couch. The bright pillows were arranged just so and the kitchen tables were spotless. She went to the empty guest bedroom and made sure that the bed sheets looked clean and that the basket of complimentary toiletries she had provided was still on the table.

The bedroom was a small affair. A tiny twin bed pushed up against a window looking out onto the small street beside the building along with a battered desk in the corner and a wardrobe with clear glass in the front (the only thing that kept the room from looking too bad) The floors were carpet and there were plenty of lights throughout the room that could be turned on and off. The bright yellow walls also managed to make the room look more welcoming and homely.

She checked on the toilet, a small tiled room with just the smallest of windows at the top.
I wonder is he/she will be afraid of the light Shau thought to herself.

The next few hours were spent switching from vacuuming the floors to writing the papers that her teacher had requested. She was eagerly awaiting her new best friend.

Nick's House

------------------

"Open your eyes, Nick! There are over two million monsters bedding down in this state tonight! This state spent three billion last year on services for scum who have no right to be here in the first place! Three billion! Every night, thousands of these parasites stream into our country to leech off our people's hard work! And you wanna be f***ing chummy?!"

Nick gasped awake. He realized he was on his desk looking at some newspapers for job openings. His contract with his latest job was ending and he was pretty sure he wasn't getting re-hired. However, what openings were available were implausible for him. He sighed and leaned back into his chair and recollected his thoughts.

He remembered that he could not sleep due to getting a message that his housemate would be arriving soon making him very excited and anxious. He wondered what kind of extraspecies would be staying with him. There were so many after all like Lamias and Centaurs and Harpies. But those were the poster girls for the program. It was up to God who he was going to get. And was he getting more than one? Nick couldn't remember if he specified that. Now he definitely needed a job to support two. Sure, the government would pay for them but he wanted to give his housemates a better impression.

After a sigh, Nick grabbed his jacket and went to the door. He decided to go outside and breath some fresh air to set himself straight. However, he would definitely not expect what lied on the other side upon opening said door.

The Duchess : homecoming

"Well well well.." Agent Smiths laughed as she saw the door open.
"How nice of you to be so well prepared, Mister Gallagher."

It seemed she wanted to have a somewhat formal conversation about how their day was. Though Agent Smiths wasn’t one to really listen when someone, with the intention of actually talking to her, talked to her. She gave some basic information about the termite girl he would be receiving today and mentioned a trail period after which he would be evaluated and the girl he was having might be relieved from him if he’d failed to stand up to the harsh minimal requirements. Dolores would just be seated in the car until she was called.

“Yeah, yeah, plural housing, whatever… Dolores! Get over here. I want you to meet your host family.”

It was nothing surprising to see boxes when somebody moved, but the workers that carried them seemed a bit too tough to be movers by profession. Barging into the house by all means possible and with a few hundred materials at a time. They did not really regard Dolores as they bumped into her. They were so fast and rough she even dropped her box and shook her boobs.
“Ah..” She began collecting parts of her box as fast she could. Stumbling in the dark, she made her way to the door. Her hand reaching forward as if she was about to push a wall, she offered it to the fine young gentleman standing near Agent Smiths. She might not have gotten a good look yet, but with everything happening this fast, she couldn’t help but experience a bit of stress.

“Hi.. I am called…”

She was interrupted. “Well, that settles it! See you happy two in about a week!” Agent Smiths slammed shut the car door. The men exited the building and came barging through the doorway again. Engines started and the movers were all out of the house again.

With the sun slowly on the rise, the two strangers were now standing outside an enlarged house.

The small girl dressed in frilled old fashioned clothes was swinging herself softly back and forth early in the morning. The sun had already risen a bit above the horizon giving the streets a bright orange color. For the past few days Haruka had been getting kinda excited, people in black had asked her to be part of some exchange program. At first it sounded a bit weird to her but after meeting and hearing it from some of the other monsters on the street she was getting kinda pumped. The last few years she was already a bit confused to what monsters were doing on the street so casually, humans didn't understand them. If they were seen by humans they would be eradicated within minutes. But here they were so calmly enjoy the weather and the human world in general. It was a dream coming true, just laze around all day and let your human do the work. This is what she had wished for all these years.

The men from the exchange program had put a tracker in Haruka her arm, dumb people. It only took her a few seconds to pry the thing out and eat it. No way she allowed them to track her that easily. Haruka let out a small chuckle thinking back how she out smarted these guys, how they were now helplessly trying to find her back. Truth to be told, the man that supposedly was looking for her had been waiting by the exit of the playground for about 10 minutes now and Haruka wasn't flexible enough to climb the fence so fleeing was pointless. Haruka let herself off the swing and moved towards the exit past the guy as she gestured him to follow her.

"Lets go partner."

Roger fell to his knees crying as Haruka walked up to the house and knocked on the door. She was gonna miss that big guy she only met a few hours ago.

While waiting for the door to be opened she dusted off her clothes one more time. Well you could call it something more in the lines of rags. Her clothes were covered with dirt stains and ripped apart. A black with white frilled skirt till just above her knees with a red frilled shirt on her torso. A paper was hanging from her forehead also seeming quite old and dirty. The only thing that was clean was her own body so she had some sort of decensy. As the door opened Haruka let off a playfull wave with a bright smile.

"Helloo~ my name is Haruka but you can call me Haru~ I'll be your new monster housemate for a while at least hehe. Can I come in? It is quite hot outside hehe."

Another same looking car was on the porchway now. She didn't know if it already had been there up till now or that it just arrived but she was getting a little conspicuous by it.
