Alexander Polawski

Location: North Of Newnan (Spring & St. Clair)

So it was settled. They were going to meet this group of unknowns somewhere south, not knowing whether it was a trap or a geniune meeting to settle the past and other scores. And to top it of, Lola might just have asked him the sanest question he'd ever thought he would hear from the less-than-stable Kiwi; if he was in or out, both in a litteral sense and figurative. And he really wasn't sure what he wanted.

At the one hand, this was sure to end up less than pretty. Best case scenario, words would be exchanged and tears cried. Worst case, shots'd be fired and blood shed. Either way were scenarios Alexander didn't feel comfortable with, especially not when he barely knew any of those involved. And really, he had gotten this far on his own. What were a few more hours walking when he could make sure to stay out of harms way?

But then two things occured; One, he owed Lola and Thalia something. Not just for the warm plastic bag of coffee, but also the short conversation they had that gave Alexander the slighest sense of hope. They hadn't shot him, but talked to him in more or less friendly tone...Before he goofed everything up. So this was perhaps a way to repay them, once again.

And then it was Thalia calling him 'Mugs'. A small smile formed on his lips, a quiet chuckle escaping them. Now that was a fitting codename, he thought. "If I can be of any help, I don't mind sticking around for a little while longer." Alexander said back to them, climbing into the tank after Lola and trying to find a seat. Dunk

Yes, he hit his head on something hard. "ouch..."

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Building 1 (Infirmary)

Riley looked towards her sister seeing her going silent was confirmation enough that Ms Sally didn't make it, running a hand through her hair as she sighed slightly and Niesha and Froggy confirming that it was true. She now knew that the old woman was gone now, she assumed just the medical staff knew. They were going to go out for a run then to grab some supplies for her service, which was an alright idea the least she could do and she didn't have anything better else to do for the rest of the day. Riley gave Froggy a slight nod she was more then willing to go. Riley smirked slightly when Chloe used her nickname she gave Ashton, it always made her smile ever so slightly when it was used.

Her eyes wondered over towards Niesha, she seemed to be shaken up by her death Riley couldn't blame her either but it could be a liability out there. But the run wasn't that far just a few blocks from what she gathered outside of the walls, their probably wouldn't be that many walkers once they were outside and more numbers the better. "I'm up for it, not like I have anything better to do." Riley didn't know the new guy, so it would be a good chance to get to know him as well. "I'll go and meet you at the back gate." Riley said as she turned around and started to head out.

Riley started to head down to tell Amelia really quick where she was going, she didn't want to see her girlfriend get worried about her that she was going to be going for a quick run outside. Riley walked along the sidewalk as she headed to the graveyard, a few moments later Riley stood there for a moment looking at the four of them. "Hey mind if I borrow Amelia for a moment?" Riley finally asked.

Raymond Mendoza

Location: Building F Tatiana & Jack's Home

Raymond nodded and gave Jack a slight smile it was good that Jack or Tatiana didn't want him to leave he was there for his friend. "It's true I did see Shordie running around with the other half of my leg a few moments ago" He chuckled slightly it was a weird sight for him to see, and scary at first, but he certainly knew it wasn't a real thing. Then Tatiana moved over and sat down on the couch across from him and then looked towards Jack for a moment, then Tatiana started up the session listening her speak again as he leaned back in the seat as he started to think about everything that he was scared of.

Raymond didn't really talk much about the day he lost his leg that much, still occasionally would have nightmares what could have actually happened that day. He either could have turned that day or ended up dying if it wasn't for Tiffany. "I guess it would be ending up going through the whole nearly dying thing again or having someone I care for going through the same thing I did, I still occasionally have nightmares going through the whole ordeal again."

Raymond feared mostly about losing Tiffany, he had a girlfriend before the outbreak happened and he lost contact with her and eventually assumed that she had been killed, or turned. Raymond leaned forward sighing slightly as he looked towards Tatiana, he knew that death was inevitable but that's what he was scared of seeing the ones he cared for dying.

Kristina Smith

Location: Mess Hall

Kristina looked towards Amelia and gave her friend a soft smile and nod, she was happy for the promotion and would do her best to step up to the plate and make sure it was all working properly. "Thank you Amelia." Kristina said with a friendly smile as she continued to shovel away as the pile started to get bigger, taking a deep breath as she whipped away a bit of sweat looking down at the slightly muddy dirt. Kris raised an eyebrow when Amelia was about to ask her a question before changing the subject. Kristina gave a slight shrug when Amelia asked about the new housing arrangements with Beatrice being gone and Chloe being in the house alone by herself.

"I dunno maybe Chloe will be moved into the same building with you and Riley?" She suggested she really wasn't that sure either, it was most likely up to Meg anyway. She turned her head as she heard Riley's voice and then looked over towards Amelia for a moment wondering why she wanted to talk to her Kristina shrugged slightly as she nodded. [color=cyan["I'll be fine."[/color] Kristina said as she went back to digging the grave.

Meghna Kumar

Location: Outer Wall

Meghna smiled feeling better that she was talking about it with Tiffany, felt better to get it off of her chest now as she went back to continue digging the grave. "Thank you Tiffany it does help." Meghna said as she watched Kristina and Amelia for a moment as they went about digging their hole. "So do you have any interesting lawyer stories back in the day?" Meghna asked, she didn't want to talk to much on the whole seeing the dead anymore until she actually spoke to Tatiana. Meghna whipped away a bit of sweat as she turned her head when she heard Riley for a moment asking to see Amelia.

"Go ahead we will be fine Amelia." Meg said as she wondered what it was that they were going to talk about, she was slightly confused why Riley wanted to see her right now. Riley looked towards Meghna and gave her a slight smile as she stood there for a moment as she waited for Amelia.

Tiffany Lyle

Location: Outer Wall

Tiffany was glad she was able to help Meg, even just a little bit. It felt good to offer reassurance. It was a hard world they lived in right now, it helped having people you cared about. Her mind immediately jumped to Ray. She felt the warmth surge through her body at the thought of him.

Damn, she really did love him, didn't she?

"Lawyer stories? Well, I was only just hired when the outbreak occurred, but I do have a few from my internship. I was helping this huge mega bitch get ready for her court date and rather than have be brief the legal documents or go over anything, she sent me for coffee. Typical stuff for an intern. What she did not tell me was that when I left, her boss came down on her for not being ready so rather than owning up to it, she threw me under the bus. I showed her though as I returned with the coffee, I laid out the case back to front for her boss. She got fired on the spot."

She was gearing up for another story (she missed being a lawyer she realized) before she heard Riley's voice asking for Amelia. It was weird that she would need her now, but it wasn't like they didn't have other hands for work. She merely smiled and nodded to Riley as Amelia left.

"I got more, but what about you? Any interesting 'before the outbreak' stories?"

Amelia Payne

Location: Outer Wall

“That might be good, it will certainly make Riley happy.” Amelia said really quietly as she was busy digging the ground too. There was certainly quite a few of unknowns right now with everything that happened. Her eyes then focused on the frozen dirt. She reminded herself why they were digging it and her mood darkened again.' Clear you mind... forget...' She thought before she heard Riley appear and call her out.

“Alright.” She said quietly as the other girls gave the okeys to leave for a little to talk with Riley. With a rapid almost dashing pace, Amelia moved over to Riley, slightly concerned now.

“What's going on, Riley?” She asked with concerned voice. Her frie... girlfriend appeared rather suddenly and to call her like this something must be going on.” Did something happen!?”

Jack Hudson

Location: Building F (The Newnans' House)

Jack couldn't have been more confused when his wife started giggling if someone told him that this had all been a practical joke and the walkers were all getting paid by studio executives to make quality prime time television. Of course, his confusion was momentarily replaced by noting that once more, Tatiana wasn't keeping off her foot. Damn. It wasn't going to heal if she kept on doing that and he was about to remind her of that, when Tatiana started explaining to him that this was normal. Ray had seen a cat carrying his leg? Damn. Maybe he wasn't that far gone.

Jack awkwardly took a seat, uncertain as to what to talk about. He hadn't been thinking too much of the day's tragedies, instead focusing on his wife, on his close friend leaving Newnan, on new responsibilities, on Miss Sally dying...And to hear that his hallucination of Dick was because that was his worst fear? There were things that scared Jack in this world, but a dead man who was going to stay dead wasn't one of them. He felt certain about that.

But as to what Jack was afraid of - that was something easy. He had known what scared him most in the world since he was little. His mother worked alone and didn't have anyone to support her, so Jack stepped up as much as he could. He protected her. It was the same reason he had become a cop, the same reason he was still alive. It was in his blood: protecting people. Especially those he cared about.

His deepest fear was that he wouldn't be there to protect them--that he'd lose them.

"Losin' the people I care about," Jack answered, noticing how similar it was to Ray's fears. "And small spaces. Can't stand 'em."

Beatrice Decker

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

Beatrice wasn't comfortable with the fact that James had given away their location, even if it was just the mention of a town. She had spent her life before the outbreak tracking people down with sometimes even less of a clue. If someone was determined enough, or perhaps vicious enough, she firmly believed it could be done. Hell, predictions could likely even be made as to where they'd be headed next if someone just had a map and an idea of the conditions of the road in the general area. James had even said that they were a mile outside of Newnan proper - that in itself was enough.

"A mile outside of Newnan proper," Beatrice quoted. "That's enough for anyone to find us if they care enough to. And of course, James promised to lead them to us as well." As for what they ended up doing, Beatrice did care. The fact that Gavin and James appeared to have a plan that affected herself and Ryan, without mentioning it to them thus far, didn't sit well with her. Beatrice was here with James, yes, but she didn't like going into situations blindly.

As for the mention to her mother, that struck a nerve with Beatrice, even if it had been an insult and not an inquiry. "Wouldn't know. Never really met my mother," Beatrice said quietly, about to move off from the group when James paused and affirmed that she had been right. At least his common sense hadn't completely evaporated. Hearing James' concession that they would be told soon, Beatrice nodded. She then considered James' character reference for the girl on the other line of the phone. It seemed to be safe enough--things like that were too bizarre to happen these days and she doubted someone would've stumbled upon the other phone, put two and two together, all in an elaborate plot to kill them all.

"I'll take stock," Beatrice said, before splitting off from the main group and heading over to the truck.

Chloe & Ravi

Location: Building One (Medical)

Chloe put her hands up, as if showing that she wasn't protesting Niesha's testimony that she was fine for this. Though it likely showed on Chloe's face that she doubted the girl was telling the truth. She seemed pretty shaken to her, but if she was determined to go and Froggy thought it was a good idea, then she wasn't going to protest further. There was no point to it. If Niesha wanted to go out while she's emotionally unstable, so be it.

Ravi wasn't sure if he should mention the fact that he had never taken a life before. Gavin tended to stash him away places when things got rough, but he had survived without Gavin for years. And with such a short trip so close by, just in and out, he didn't think it'd be a problem. They needed him anyways to identify the chemicals that they needed. No one else besides Froggy and himself, as far as he was aware, knew exactly what they were looking for. Things were so rarely conveniently labeled as "embalming chemicals here!"

"Ugh, fine, I'll talk to one of them," Chloe said, responding to Froggy's request that they all go and get therapy after this. She really didn't feel like going through that entire fiasco with either counselor, knowing that they'd likely ask her about how she assaulted Ryan that morning. And if not that, her past would be brought up one way or another. Had Froggy not finally welcomed her fully onto the medical staff, she likely would've just said fuck no and left it at that.

"So...where to, then?" Ravi asked. He didn't know how to get to any of the gates, where to pick up supplies, and where to go grab weapons. He was brand new to Newnan and hadn't even gotten a proper tour yet.

Niesha

Location Building one: medical--> Armoury

Safety in numbers.

It didn't matter that where they were going was close, or that it had been at least relatively safe a while ago. All that could have changed, and it reminded Niesha that it wasn't safe out there. Something could happen... She looked up, in time to see Riley looking at her, as if doubtful. She gritted her teeth, her gaze going back to Chloe. Had they forgotten that she'd been out there, for close to a year before coming into the community? She could handle herself, and she thought she had done a damn good job of being human the last eight months, after everything.

She looked away from them all, walking away somewhat, drawing in a deep breath. She could and would do this. How could she let Froggy down, after everything. after the last eight months? She wasn't going to disappoint him, not when... not when he was going to teach her more. She closed her eyes, letting the breath out, and drew in another breath, repeating the motion a few times, before she said softly, "I'll meet up with everyone shortly", knowing she needed to say goodbye, at least, to Kristina. Just in case she didn't come back. She started off, before stopping, and looking back, "Thank you, Victor. For everything" she said, before darting out the door, wondering where she could find Kristina.

Where would she be?

As she stood there, thinking about it, Niesha realised she couldn't do it. Couldn't say goodbye to Kristina. Couldn't say goodbye as if it would be the last time. If she did that, then, wasn't she already thinking that she might not come back? But not only that... she didn't want Kristina to try and stop her going. So, she headed towards the armoury, feeling like it had been so long since she had had anything more than a knife for a weapon.

Thana Martin

Location: Medical Garden (10) -> Agriculture: Storage (West Side between Inner and Outer Wall)

Making her way out of the Medical Garden Thana kept pace with Ash as the continued towards the West Side Inner Wall gate. It was far smaller than the main gate but that was to be expected since it made it easier to guard. The smaller gates were not even gates per-say but doors built into the wall that one could lock and unlock as needed. Taller and wider than your standard house door but smaller than a garage door. During the day the inner wall gates outside of the main gate stayed unlocked so people could go about their duties but there was always a sentry posted there just in case. Thana really didn't pay the guard on top of the wall much mind as she headed through with Ash. Sure, not everyone had seen her as of yet but she was with the leader of Newnan, if they had a problem with it they could speak to him.

Stepping out into the area between the inner and outer wall she glanced around. "Keep eying me like this Captain and people are going to know that the tomato crop is the last thing on your mind," she said quietly as they walked. There was just the smallest smirk on her lips. Yes she was on duty and she wasn't about to do anything else but she had to admit she was enjoying this little thing they had going on. Working together, being together but having to keep professional in front of everyone else. It could for many people pose a conflict of interest but for her it just meant that once they were alone they could make up for all the time they couldn't do what they wanted to do in public and she had many ideas to just what that would entail come night fall.

Working her way to the storage building she pulled her keys out and unlocked the door. Stepping inside the slightly familiar building she took a look around. There were going to be several things they needed to gather that she had listed out earlier. A wheelbarrow wasn't one of them really but it would help them tote things around the town with much greater ease. Well a truck would have been preferred but a wheelbarrow would do. Turning slightly she glanced over towards Ash and cocked a brow. "Well either get over here and help me or shut the door and do something," she taunted him out of no where, a little surprised by her words that she had actually just said that but she shrugged it off on her mind. What was said was already said, no going back now.

Lola Holler

Location: North Of Newnan (Spring & St. Clair) -> Heading Towards A Meeting

"Righty-O," Lola said as she fired up the engine for the monster she drove once again. They had an idea of where they were going now. If that was right in the middle of a trap whoever they were meeting was bound to rethink screwing with them once they spotted the tank on the horizon. If this spotted dick had the stuff to take out her baby, they were screwed no matter what as far as she was concerned. Either was, it was going to exciting in her mind. Much more fun than just driving down the road to destinations unknown and waiting for shit to happen, this way they were at least meeting it head on.

Hearing the tell tale knock of someone's skull on the tank Lola laughed, plenty of people had been rendered knocked silly by her baby. "Watch your head," she giggled as she put the tank into gear and it jerked forward. She really wasn't even thinking of warning Alexander that he might want to hold onto something as it suddenly went down the road. Hell he probably wouldn't have heard her anyways if she had thought about it.

"Hope ya know what your doing mate, meeting this spotted dick, but hey maybe finally get some answers right?" she said in passing as they kept going down the road. "Alright navigator, which way?" she asked as they came to an intersection. Thalia would need to tell her quickly because it didn't seem like Lola was slowing down to turn, granted she never really did. One could wonder if Lola was determined to be the first person on earth to two wheel a tank.

Tatiana Korvo

Location: The Newnan's House (Building F)

Tatiana listened to Ray as he spoke and nodded a bit. "Dat is understandable. You vent through a lot to get here. It vould make sense you vouldn't vant anyone else losing a leg or you losing another. Makes you feel vunerable, a burden as it were, getting drug around by other people just to keep moving," she said in an understanding voice. She couldn't imagine herself going through life with only one leg, even before the outbreak occurred. It would have meant the end of her career. Now a day, without a safe haven like Newnan, it could easily mean death. In the end, no matter what happened out there beyond the walls you always ended up running at one point or another. Having one leg made that a bit difficult. Sure, Ray had a crutch now, knew how to ride a horse but he was still at a severe disadvantage.

Looking over towards Jack she sighed slightly. "Vhat all did you hear him say in your head?" she asked Jack. What he was saying made sense but she wanted to make sure that it made sense in context with what he had heard. Perhaps there were deeper fears he wasn't aware of now or that he was suppressing. With everything that had happened today and two people hearing or seeing things, she wondered how many more were under the same amount of stress. Had Sana been under all this, had she heard or seen something that had finally pushed her over the edge. That was something she would never have the answer for but she wanted to do everything she could to make sure that no one else succumbed to desperation. She made a mental note to get Ash in there as soon as possible to speak with, he always seemed so tense, this situation couldn't be helping.

Over in the infirmary Froggy nodded towards Niesha. "Je vous en prie," he said to Niesha with a bit of a smile. His way of saying you're welcome. Looking over towards Chloe. "Why don't you take Ravi down to the armory while you get geared up, let him see part of the town. They will probably issue him a knife for you to give him once you are outside of the walls," he said as he stood there.

Jim was over in the armory right then, going through things. He knew he probably shouldn't have stashed away one of their satellite phones in James gear, Ash would have his head for that but he wanted to make sure that James had some way of getting in contact with them if shit hit the fan. The man might have killed someone but he had killed Dick, to Jim that was no loss. Granted the phone wasn't on now, he would only turn it on from time to time for now, at least until it was discovered that the other one was missing. How long that would be was anyone's guess since the sat phones were kept under lock and key even in the armory and stashed in a safe that only he, Ash, and now Jack had the keys to. Stuff in there was mostly memories that Ash didn't want people touching.

Looking up as he heard the door open he spotted Niesha coming in. "Hey girl, what you doing here?" he asked her as he put his keys back on his belt.

Gavin & Ryan

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

"Well how long do we have before they arrive? Or they meeting us somewhere else?" Ryan asked as he looked around slowly. He wasn't exactly keen on meeting people where their supplies where. If they were about to get fucked over royally, he really didn't want these fuckers headed their way getting their hands on a house boat and everything that was in it. He also had to wonder just why James had suggested people take a look at the stuff and why Beatrice was wanting to take stock of shit now since Gavin had been in the back of the boat since they nearly arrived going through everything. Maybe she was just wanting to keep busy and maybe James had really lost it.

Gavin leaned against the boat and eyed Bea. "Um you did just be seeing me up there and doing that shit didn't ya? What's you don'ts trust little ol' me?" he laughed a bit as he pushed his curls out of his face and glanced over towards James. He was just messing with her, he hadn't gone through everything so it made sense for someone else to take a look. "He be havin' a point ya know. We meetin' up with these folk we mights not wants to do it here. Ya know, lettin' them find everythag we's gots. Might up their wants to just puts a bullet between our eyes. Times being toughs and alls that," Gavin said as he looked over at Ryan, the man did have a point.

Shrugging, it didn't matter now. The damage was done. James had told them now their exact location and unless they hustled and got shit hidden, miles away and got back in time, there really was no point. "Well I say fuck it. Let's them come but yous two, well if yers gonna stay might as well knows all of it in case you wants to high tails it out of before new folk arrive. We's going to kill that place known as Eden." Gavin just let the shit come flying out of his mouth with no filter.

Ryan froze and dropped his bag. "Fucking Christ, you two are nuts..."

Ash Holloway

Location: Agriculture: Storage (West Side between Inner and Outer Wall)

Ashton cleared his throat and focused his eyes cold and forward in response to Thana's observation of him. Yes, he was smitten. All hell was pouring in from many sides, but in the absence of pressing duties elsewhere the Captain's thoughts were on the woman with him. "Yes ma'am. Tomato crop - on it." His voice was serious, but the timing was more conclusive to humor. As soon as they were clear of the direct sight of the sentry manning the inner wall, he shot Thana a quiet smirk, which immediately solidified into his usual stoic demeanor.

It was a newish experience for Ash, having to suppress positive feelings from his face. If not new, then it was a mucscle that he had not flexed in quite some time. But old habits die hard, and it was getting a little easier to keep the bliss from radiating too brightly from himself. He still felt the pang of loss; this did not do away with it. He would miss Sally, her council and sense of humor. He would miss James, too. He kept Newnan fed and almost self-sufficient, not to mention he was he best friend Ash had. Their loss, be it death or exile, weighed upon the man. But Ash had realized that despair and discipline did not have to shadow every aspect of himself. He could live, too. He hoped he could, anyway.

The Agricultural Storage building was everything its name promised. It stored agricultural tools and supplies like a champ, sealing it in with four walls, a roof, and a floor of some renown, capable of supporting large amounts of weighty objects as only a proper floor can. That was to say: The building was unremarkable. It did contain what Thana needed, and now that she was inside of the storage building, it also contained what Ash needed. Then the woman surprised him. As soon as they were done giving a cursory glance at the supplies inside, including a lovely wheelbarrow, she made a highly suggestive set of choices. Between helping her gather supplies and shutting the door for a private moment with her, Ash chose the only sensible one.

"Outstanding." he said genuinely. As the door swung closed, Ash was already on his way over to Thana. He paused for a half second as his face neared hers to gently cup her cheek in one hand and whisper, "But can't I do both?" Traces of his rural Virginian accent flared in his speech, cut off by the urgent pressing of his lips to hers. He gently teased her lower lip with his teeth, holding firm and slowly pulling away, simply enraptured by the feel of her. "I'm going to be honest with you, Thana. I really don't give a goddamn about the tomatoes right now."

Black James(!)

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

James was smart enough to know that, under normal circumstances, this wasn't the right call. Hell, he was probably smart enough to realize that even under optimum circumstances, it probably still wasn't the right call. But too many coincidences popped up for this to be some elaborate setup by a hostile third party looking to kill them and take their belongings. And if it was, well... there weren't many things that could withstand a shot from his Barret. He'd forgone the use of the thing in all but the direst of occasions because it was, quite literally, too much gun for his needs.

But first, and most apparent, he'd have to address the concerns of his companions. "Aight now, y'all hold up. This a simple as hell affair, ok? Once again, if'n y'all not comfortable with my decisions on this, then y'all know where to go. Newnan's back north o' here. Now, this lady was sayin' they at Spring and St. Claire, which puts 'em right at the Wall, near Agriculture. Northwest wall. Pointy part. I give them directions down from there. Real simple."

James cleared his throat. "Now, They gonna be meetin' us at the three-way intersection, front of the Water Plant. Outta sight from where we at now, 'bout three football fields away. If'n you wanna get around them, there's a small road out the back way of this warehouse, put you out on Sewell. Head left startin' and right soon as you can, you hit LaGrange, and follow back up to Newnan. You good." Being as James was one of the people tasked with hunting, recruiting, and going on runs in the area, he had familiarity with the immediate area. It was a shame that this accrued knowledge was about to become pointless, but he was glad to have it for this dilemma. "Now, I done sent them round the way we come in, more or less. whoever's leavin', you pass right by each other an' never catch eyes."

"Now, if I'm soundin' too bossy, it's 'cause time growin' short til they get to the three-way. I'd like to be there first, if'n I can. I asked 'bout that truck again on account o' no one sayin' nuthin to me about it. Same on that boat, if'n Ash put somethin' aside from provisions, parts, an' fishin' gear." James strode over to the truck and began getting his personal belongings from the back. He looked like he was equipping for an extended stay in the woods, or one hell of a shooting match.

"Again y'all, I ain't tryin' to be no ass about this, but it's goin' down now. Anybody who's ridin' with me better get they shit together, or start makin' tracks back home. They's a girl out there need to know what happened to her family. I'mma goin'."

This was turning into a speech. It was high time to wrap it up. "And that's right, Ryan. We muthafuckin' crazy. We goin' straight into the belly of the beast. But we ain't goin' stupid." He was channeling some major Samuel Leroy Jackson with this verbal barrage. "I didn't expect to be alive this late in the day, man. I sho as hell didn't expect to have company. An' just as long as that can mean something, I'm on that shit. And I say, if a muthafucka hates you for no reason, you give that muthafucka a reason. Newnan's gonna be safe. Or we gonna even up them odds for 'em."

James nestled his rifle into the cab of his truck and climbed in after it. "If you comin', now's the time. Last one gets the door. Stay here if you need, no shame."

Location: North Of Newnan (Spring & St. Clair) IN A TANK

Yeah, Lola was really funny. Loved forcing one's hand, be it conversationally or in the day to day chess match that was survival, out in the wide world. But she had otherwise proven to be a loyal friend over these past months, and let us not forget the fortress that she drove all about the countryside in search of whatever she was in search of.

Now, Thalia herself was looking for something. For starters, she was looking for her family, still in Georgia. Chattanooga had already been searched to her satisfaction, and Metro-ATL was the next, most logical spot. She had finally found a trace, or so she believed. It was the most believable lead she had come across so far; whoever this James person was, he had Alicia's satphone and spoke about her as if they were close. A lot of the red flags for "TRAP" hadn't gone off in their conversation, but she hadn't stayed alive for as long as she had by just trusting people.

Scratch that. Thalia was alive because she trusted the right people. You needed people to survive, this day and age, but ironically, people were the biggest threat anymore. Zeds, you knew where you stood. And just as soon as she was done here, Thalia was off to Mexico, by way of Texas. But first...

"Fuck's sake, Lola! West aun Spring until it ends in a few blocks. Then turn left!" She raised her seat back up into the turret fully, checking the optics and compass to confirm road signs and direction. "West! That way! Yaww!" Her accent was getting a little away from her in her apparent excitement coupled with frustration at having to give recently memorized directions to a crazy person. Focusing her attention to Alexander, Thalia noted, "Look, old man... I don't have a clue why you're coming with, but this is no joke. It's a very personal matter, and I can't be sure it's not some trap. Just hang out, and if something goes down, turn around and get out of here. Doesn't matter where I'm at, you get out." She lowered her seat again to better speak with Lola, "That's on you too, Lolz." Thalia had to raise her voice over the internal engine noise of the tank. "Something goes south, cruise. I appreciate your help with my venture, but it's not worth you dying or losing your tank over."

That tank did make a difference. Not just in survival, but in tactics. The fact that it was there meant that they could attend this uncertain meeting in open view, behind serious armor, and with a hell of an opening negotiation point. Otherwise, Thalia would have had to utilize her less social gifts, which might work to her disadvantage when she inevitably had to reveal herself to whoever all they were meeting. And somehow, the Stuart M5A1 seemed more viscerally intimidating than her 9mm, machete, and carbon-tipped spear.

Absently, before she returned to her spot in the turret, she leaned closer to Lola and intoned in a watery but determined voice, "Thank you."

Alexander Polawski

Location: North Of Newnan (Spring & St. Clair)

"It's okay...I've had worse..." Alexander's hand was clutching his head right where he had hit the hard, very hard steel interior of the tank. And it was true, he had felt worse thing to his head than that; explosions, burst ear-drums, unknown jungle diseases. That however didn't mean this incident didn't hurt like hell, and so the old man had to take a deep breath while the tank jerked into action.

Again it was a good question that Thalia raised as to why he was doing this for them. And he didn't have a very good answer beside what had already convinced him to join them inside the bucket of bolts, which he frankly just felt were cheesy; especially her calling him 'Mugs'. And then he heard her say something he hadn't expected; that they should simply leave her there if things went south, both Lola and him. So it was going to be real personal after all.

"I know it's no joke. It's the right thing to do, and I owe you both any support I can give." Alexander noted back to Thalia, before she lowered herself back in the tank's interior. He wanted to say something else, something witty and uplifting, like one did before heading out into battle. But nothing presented itself to him, and perhaps that was for the best. Perhaps he just needed to prove that he could be serious, useful and not just an old senile grandpa.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Graveyard

Riley watched Tiffany, Meg and Kris for a moment before her attention went back towards Amelia as she finished shoveling and moved over towards her. Seeing the concerned look on her girlfriends face, Riley bit her lower lip for a moment she wasn't sure if she should say that Miss Sally just died. Everyone would eventually hear what happened to Miss Sally at some point letting out a slight sigh as she ran a hand through her hair and gave her a slight shake of her head. "I just swung by the Infirmary, to check up on my sister and Miss Sally there. She's gone now." Riley said softly, it was probably the last bit of news that her girlfriend wanted to know today after losing yet another person today.

She then grabbed Amelia and pulled her into a hug holding it for awhile, she did respect the elderly woman and enjoyed her company from time to time as well. "Froggy and suggested doing a more formal service for her, hes sending Niesha, my sister and the new guy out to grab some supplies from the nearby funeral home just outside the back gate about two blocks or something like that." Riley said looking towards the others for a moment. "I'm also going with them, shouldn't take that long either." Riley said, she probably knew that Amelia would be upset with her leaving as she leaned in and gave her a loving kiss. "It shouldn't take that long either, i'll be back before you know it."

Raymond Mendoza

Location: Building F Tatiana & Jack's Home

Raymond sighed softly and nodded, it was the worse experience he'd ever been through though he was certainly at a major disadvantage if Eden attacked, he could easily just be picked off or if a herd of Walkers broke through the walls he certainly wouldn't be able to outrun then not by a long shot. He always did feel like a burden to everyone, people would have to slow down or stop sometimes for him to catch up to others. "I do sometimes feel like a burden to everyone, I cant run anymore sure I can get on a horse and i'd be pretty fast but if i'm out there beyond the walls i'm pretty much dead. Oh yeah and dogs, not the small kind like Peaches but bigger dogs."

Raymond wasnt sure why he was scared of bigger dogs came from but he didn't mind or care about much smaller dogs when he was growing up, he turned his attention over towards his best friend Jack. Looking at Jack Raymond could get the feeling that he was a bit shaken up about seeing Richard. He was curious if Jack was seeing Richard right now, aside from earlier before he came over here he didn't see his leg being carried about into the house which was a good thing.

Kristina Smith

Location: Mess Hall

Kristina gave Amelia a soft and friendly smile for a moment and then watched as she got up and went back towards Riley, she went back to digging down into the hole she was getting a few inches deeper, the dirt was slightly hard and muddy as well, as she looked towards the two of them. Kristina paused for a moment when she overheard that Miss Sally had just died, biting her lower lip as she lowered her head, letting out a quiet sigh. Her best friend, the man she looked up to as a fatherly figure ended up being exiled today and now hearing that Sally had died just a few moments ago.

Kristina eyed Amelia wondering what her reaction was going to be, as she watched Riley go in and kiss Amelia she didn't expect to see the two of them to be together. She knew that the two of them were close friends, but didn't expect them to actually get together however she remained fairly quiet as she absentmindedly reached for where her sister's necklace was. And realized that she had given it to James before he left.

Meghna Kumar

Location: Outer Wall

Meghna leaned back slightly as she took a little break from shoveling as she listened in on Tiffany's story giving her story being a former intern to a law firm. She couldn't help but smirk when she listened to the story her boss seemed to be fairly lazy and didn't really respect her from what she got the feeling. And then being fired on the spot when Tiffany came back certainly was a good bit of karma. "Well she certainly did deserve to get fired." Meghna said with a light smile as she started to think back to something that had happened to her before the outbreak happened.

"Well lets see, oh I remember I lived in London for a few years went to school there for my education degree there was a senior prank some kids pulled every year it was kind of a tradition I guess. But anyway. I was in a lecture when a group of seniors came into the room dressed up in that YMCA getup and they started to jump up on the professor's desk. And they all started to do the dance and everything before campus security came in and quickly broke it up." Meghna said with a light laugh.

Her attention turned over towards Kristina and then over towards Amelia and Riley, she couldn't really hear what the two of them were talking about, but she was starting to get pretty curious what it was now Amelia seemed to be concerned and worried. But she couldn't blame her for that either after what had happened earlier today.

Tiffany Lyle

Location: Outer Wall

Tiffany listened as Meg told about her past. It was good to hear of happier times before the end of the world hit. After all, they were human beings before they were required to fight for their lives on a daily basis. It tickled her hearing about the senior class and their shenanigans. She didn't remember a time when her school life was filled with that. At Harvard, there were a bunch of snooty rich kids with their nose in the air. Other than the occasional party, it wasn't a place for much fun.

That made her sad. She was thankful she wasn't like that now. Before she met Ray, before she met Newnan, she probably would still be like that, but life had a funny habit of turning around on you when you least expect it. And not so often, for the better.

Tiffany glanced up at Amelia talking to Riley. She would have called the girls out on their obvious cutesy romance, but Riley had a serious look on her face. "What do you suppose that was about? Given the seriousness of Riley's demeanor, I can only assume it's more bad news."

Amelia Payne

Location: Outer Wall

“What...” Amelia uttered really quietly, but otherwise she appeared quiet and calm from the shock. Another one...? Gone? What did Riley mean by gone? It couldn't be, right? She barely registered when she was pulled into a tight hug as Riley continued to speak.

“Uhhu...” She made some sort of sound as her girlfriend explained her the job they were about to do outside the walls. Amelia couldn't think of what was going on anymore. She just took in the information with bare minimum of thinking as she was pulled into a kiss also. Riley was going away... That was all her mind could think of right now. Going away outside the walls. The musician's words didn't really encourage or calm her. She appeared mostly calm, but that was from the surprise and shock.

“Okey...” Amelia really quietly replied, her hand hovering for a moment by Riley's side as if to grab her clothing and not let her go, but then she remembered that Riley said Chloe was also going. She couldn't stop her lover from going with her sister. Her hand silently fell by her side as she nodded, pulling away a little.” I understand.” She replied, throwing a look at Tiffany, Meg and Kristina. She felt like she was standing on ice... on very thin unstable ice that was rapidly cracking underneath her.” I will tell the others.” She still so quietly said without looking at Riley.” You should go, they are probably waiting for you. Sooner you go, sooner you will return.” Yes if she looked at Riley right now she'd probably lose it. At least she didn't have to worry Riley before going outside, yes.

Niesha

Location Building one:Armoury

Niesha approached the armoury slowly, even though she knew that time was of the essence. So many thoughts were in her head, and despite herself, she couldn’t stop them going towards Sophia now and then. She didn’t think that her sanity had snapped… but how would she know? Weren’t voices one of the signs of going crazy? Should she even worry about that? Surely they had all survived this long, because they were all a little crazy? Didn’t you have to be, to survive the walking dead? She tried to bring her thoughts back to what had happened, what they were going to do. Death was apart of daily living, these days… a funeral… it made things seem more real. Death and lose had started to feel too normal… it shouldn’t be.

She sighed softly to herself. It had taken so long to get over Sophia, to get past her death… and now she was hearing her voice. Was there some truth to the many religions out there that believed a proper burial, proper rights, led a spirit to its rest, to whatever was beyond? The dead walked, why not ghosts?

She was getting off track again. She recognised it for what it was. A defense mechanism. Drawing a deep breath, she looked up as she opened the door, as Jim spoke to her. For a moment, she stood there silently, trying to piece together what she needed to say… ”Miss Sally died… Froggy wants a proper funeral for her… Ravi-the new guy-, Chloe, Riley and myself are going out to get what we need… “ she trailed off, not sure what else she had to say, and stared at Jim. Why had it been so hard to say that Miss Sally was dead? She still felt like she could have done more… Despite what Sophia’s voice said… She curled her hands slightly, shaking her head slowly and sighing, ”There’s a funeral home nearby, but still best not to risk it without anything, right?”

Jack Hudson

Location: Building F (The Newnans' House)

Jack wasn't sure exactly why it was pertinent exactly what he had heard Dick say, but he wasn't going to argue with Tatiana about it. To him, he heard a voice from a dead asshole and that was that. It was time for him to be put in some sort of isolation where they kept the crazies. He didn't know practically anything about psychology--most of what he knew was just from watching other people lose their grip over the years. Death tended to mess with your head. That was about it.

"Dick said...The voice said that Ash was lost. Asked how I was gonna keep you safe, gonna keep Newnan safe from Eden. Called us Mistah and Misses Cleavah," Jack summarized. It felt a bit awkward to talk about this, while Ray was simultaneously talking about his feelings of being a burden. Ray had concrete reasons for these sort of psychological issues. But Jack, Jack felt a little bit ashamed. Maybe it was his old days as a cop, but back then, people didn't always talk about these sort of issues. They were kept quiet. At least Dick's voice seemed to be doing the same. He hadn't heard him since that first time. Maybe that was a good sign.

Beatrice Decker

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

Beatrice was feeling a bit irked with Gavin. Yeah, she had seen him up there taking stock, but James was right--he never said anything about it. For all Beatrice knew, he was only about halfway done with it and stopped once the phone call happened. But at any rate, it was busy work. She was feeling a bit more exasperated with these people with each passing second, but she also had no intention of going back to Newnan. If she split off from the group, then she'd make her way north some, see what happens. She hadn't been looking for Newnan in the first place and it had turned up. There were two settlements in this area at least. She'd find another if she wanted to.

However, Beatrice paused in her tracks as she heard the plan. Gavin and James wanted to take down Eden singlehandedly? She chuckled a bit at the thought. There were four of them. They'd need a small army and a tank to even have a chance against Eden. Even if they managed to hurt Eden, Eden'd just end up hurting Newnan back. They'd regain their strength. Groups like that, it wasn't enough to attack them from the outside. They usually had to end up crumbling from within as well in order to actually become just a memory.

"I hadn't intended on dying today or tomorrow or the next day," Beatrice mused, before getting herself ready and climbing into the truck after James. "But I suppose dying with you assholes is as good a way to go as any." She was certain they'd all be dead in a week.

Chloe & Ravi

Location: Building One (Medical) ---> Building 6 (the Armory)

Chloe noticed the way Niesha was gritting her teeth. Yeah, that definitely convinced her that Niesha was emotionally stable enough to go on a run. She reminded her of the girls who pretended they weren't going through detox in prison, only to end up thrown in solitary a few days later with additional time put on their sentence for using. They were always so prideful, attempting to save face. Ravi was clueless as to the relationship dynamics here, practically awkwardly standing by as glances were thrown at one another. He felt a bit relieved when Froggy suggested that Chloe, the other red head, take him to the armory to get a knife.

A knife that he wouldn't be using--but that wasn't something he needed to mention. He had managed to avoid taking a life for four years. One little run outside the walls of Newnan wasn't going to force him to face his fear. He had hardly spent any time in Newnan to begin with. He was still accustomed to surviving out there.

"Come on, governor," Chloe said, nodding a bit at Froggy before heading out. "Let's go already."

It was a brisk walk across the street and through a parking lot, one that consisted primarily of an awkward conversation between the two. Chloe didn't know much about Ravi beyond his accent and Ravi didn't know much about her, beyond the fact that she was supposedly an expert at finding veins. Either she used to be a pro at drawing blood before or she was an addict, he figured. It wasn't entirely uncommon for medical professionals--they had access to a fair deal of drugs.

"I'm Ravi," Ravi said, as a way of introducing himself.

"I know," Chloe replied, about two paces ahead of him.

"I was a medical examiner," Ravi then added, smiling awkwardly at the ginger.

Chloe stopped for a moment, raising an eyebrow at him. "Again, I knew that already."

Ravi awkwardly rubbed the back of his head, as Chloe started to walk briskly once more towards the armory. She definitely had an attitude to her, that was for sure. She probably had some bad blood with Niesha, Ravi figured. It'd explain a lot of what had happened after Miss Sally died. However, he couldn't also help but notice that she was rather pretty.

"So what did you do?" Ravi asked, attempting to get to know her.

"Crime."

Thana Martin

Location: Agriculture: Storage (West Side between Inner and Outer Wall)

Hearing the door close Thana's brow slightly as she turned away from the wheelbarrow, looking over at Ash as he came towards her. He didn't have to say anything, she could see by the look on his face that he had chosen the more private of the two options. Smirking a bit as he cupped her cheeks, her arms laced over his shoulders. "Well I don't know if ya can. Men aren't exactly known for being the best at multitasking," she teased before his lips found hers. Tightening her arms she pulled herself closer to him and pressed her body against his; returning each nip and tease she gave her. Her eyes drifted open as the kiss opened and the smirk returned to her freshly kissed lips.

"I would be a bit disappointed if you'd rather be tending to tomatoes," she said in a sly voice as she kept her form molded to his. She knew they had work to tend to, things needed to be done. That was the way it always was in this day and age. Yet she also knew that Ash had been through a lot today. Several dead, one exiled. It couldn't be easy. Especially with him thinking he was seeing things now, so maybe a bit of a distraction was a good thing but not too much. The last thing she felt he needed was for the both of them to be caught in flagrante delicto by one of the other residents of Newnan. It would call into question his judgement of handing over a lead position to someone that had only been in the town for a day. Some would call it favoritism, it wouldn't matter that she had a doctorate in the field of botany and could grow plant nearly anywhere.

"But we need to get this done. So let's get to work and then... clean ourselves up," she suggested as she whispered into his ear before nipping gently at his lobe, pulling it between her teeth softly before she pulled away from him and pointed over towards a pile of bricks. A flash of desire was still in her eyes and she was pretty sure he would get the gist of what she was insinuating. At least she hoped he did, especially after last night. "Alright, get dirty or I won't have anything to clean up later," she said with a a small chuckle as she turned and bent over to grab one of the buckets from storage.

Lola Holler

Location: Heading Towards A Meeting

Lola looked over towards Thalia and smirked. "Bitch please. They try to take me or my girl and they are going to be getting a good old fashion pa-pa-pa-pow!" she said holdings her hand up, balled into a fist, before her face and giving a few jabs before turning her attention back to where it should have been the entire time - the road. Yeah, she could duck and cover, let all hell break loose but that just wasn't her way. She was the one that made hell break loose and everyone else duck and cover. Sure having a tank wasn't a catch all for every but it was a damn fine foundation on which to build on, not to mention it was a very good at being a huge intimidation factor when meeting up with new people. Like having a taser or can of mace back before the world went to hell in a handbasket, by about 9000.

Hearing Thalia thank her she glanced over at her out of the corner of her eye. It wasn't every day that the girl said something seriously in a nice way. "Hey I got your back girl," she said simply as they continued on their way. She wasn't gunning it like she could have, taking her time now as they made their turns down the road. She didn't want to get there first. If they got there first and the people they were meeting spotted the tank they might back out and she didn't want to leave Thalia with the first connection or word she had had about her family to vanish into the melting snow town. Getting there second would mean they would be there, set up, and would have to see the tank coming. Hopefully not giving them a chance to run for the hills. Plus it would give Lola a chance to weigh these people before they even arrived. If they hid and waited for them to arrive that right then would set up a red flag in her book.

"Well I say Gramps, if you hang in it through here, you might just get a full meal out of us yet," she chuckled. She wasn't joking though as much as it could be taken that way. The man didn't have to be trucking along though a thought did hit her. This guy came out of no where, and had a walkie set. Could he know these blokes that they were meeting up with? Is that why the phone suddenly was answered after all these years? Oh yeah, her conspiracy theories were running wild today. Thing was, the idea wasn't that far out in left field. She wanted to bring it up to Thalia but in the close confines of the tank, voices traveled. She'd just have to keep an eye on this guy.

Tatiana Korvo

Location: The Newnan's House (Building F)

Tatiana looked over towards Ray and gave him an understanding look. "Hey stop that. You aren't a burden. Okay, vell you can be at times but vho isn't? That vhy ve have community, people, family. Ve all need help and eventually ve end up helping. Look at me, have baby soon. Vill be big burden to keep baby safe. But burden not burden. You vork, you help, earn place here. Vhy you here. Ve need you much as you need us," she said in a rather firm voice for the little woman who was half standing on one foot to keep her weight off the cut. "People been living with one leg longer than there been Valking corpses. Longer than there been modern medicine. Longer than there been even beer. You make it vork," she added with a smile before turning her attention back to her husband.

"Cleaver? He call us knife?" she asked confused. She had no idea who or what Jack was talking about with what Richard said. Shaking her head she moved on and cupped Jack's cheeks in her hands. "Voice full of shit, just feeding of your doubts. Nov you listen to me husband. You can protect us. You protect me, save my life, get me here, build life for us here. Ve married nov, having baby soon. Vho else has that here? Or out there? Not many! You did that! Don't doubt yourself and just keep moving forvard. You be dad soon. Father," she said in a loving voice that was laced with fire. It was funny how she could be so fragile and so tiny and then this fire would come out of her, a strength she kept hidden most of the time, on reserve until it was really needed. "Understood?"

Jim looked at Niesha and sighed a bit, lowering his head and shaking it. "Damn.... that sucks, I liked her," Jim said as he stared at the counter for a few moments. Looking back up at Niesha he nodded. "Right, weapons. Any trip outside the wall, no matter how quick, you need weapons," he added as he reached under the counter and pulled out a clip board, flipping through the papers on it for a minute before looking back at Niesha. "Okay, well we have our usual here. Stay out of personal labeled items as always other than your own. Grab a pack off the wall and get what you need. I can list it off on the check out sheet for you and then you sign off. Other than weapons, grab some flashlights too, don't know how much light you will have once inside the funeral home. Maybe a flare or two as well in case you guys get into trouble out there and need back up?" he suggested before turning his attention back to the clipboard and going over it. He hadn't had a chance to update it before James left, now was as good a time as any.

Gavin & Ryan

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

"Fucking hell, okay. Someone give me a gun cause all I got is this," Ryan said pulling out his machete and tucking it into his belt. Sure, a machete was a great weapon to have. It never ran out of ammo, was easy to use, didn't take a lot of training. Thing was, it was for up close and personal and Ryan really didn't fancy getting close enough to anyone right then if shit went down. He rather just shot them. Granted, Ryan didn't have a lot of training in guns, only knew how to use a shotgun and well those were the easiest to learn. Spray from buckshot had a much better chance at hitting than a single bullet from a pistol if someone wasn't highly trained.

"Aww man, I got's this," Gavin said with a broad grin as he pulled out his shotgun and handed it over to Ryan with a box of shells. Ryan took it and loaded it up, giving Gavin a slight nod before looking over towards Beatrice. He wasn't sure if she was going to stick around, especially now that they had learned that even after dealing with these fuckers they were meeting up with, their next stop was Eden. Ryan didn't like that idea one fucking bit but he was out there to have James' back, and well he did know Eden better than anyone that had been in Newnan.

Gavin pulled out his M1191 and his .357 Sig, getting them ready. "Damns, whats I wouldn't be giving fer my old M25 SwS, could pick a tick off a deers ass at 900 yards with that baby," he chuckled thinking back to his old sniper rifle. It was a good one and he was a good shot. Sadly it had been lost along the way over the years. He had always been careful with it but shit went down and when shit goes down sometimes you gotta leave a few things behind. Sadly that gun was one of them.

Ryan cocked a brow, he really didn't know a lot about guns but hearing that distance told him that Gavin was at least a good shot. Glancing over towards James, Ryan was ready to go but not before dropping a piece of advice in an odd manner. "Well ain't that interesting? What, you a sniper?" he asked Gavin while still looking at James.

"Naw man, never trained fer that with the big guys buts I did learn to handle the systems over the years. Damn fine shots I be. Ain't be as good with a pistol as Strawberry though, that girl... damn..." he said in a dreamy voice. Ryan kept his eyes on James still.

"Sounds like shooting ran in the family," he remarked, referring to Zoies skills with a gun. If Gavin was anything like the Leesburg girls, James just might have a rifle or two that Gavin could be put to good use with.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Graveyard -> Building 6 (Armory)

Riley looked at Amelia for a moment she was surprised that her girlfriend was pretty calm about it, but then again she was probably in shock like she was back at the infirmary after seeing Ms. Sally's body covered in the blanket. She met Amelia's gaze she didn't want to leave her girlfriend all of a sudden. But the trip wasn't that far just a few blocks out from the back gate over by the Franklin section, she gently brushed a few strands of hair out of Amelia's face. "I'll be back its not going to take long." Riley said softly towards her, looking towards her radio and then towards Meg for a second. "I'll be keeping my radio on, and Meg has hers on her as well so you will be able to keep in contact with me." One of the perks of being a lead having your own personal radio on you at all times, she looked towards her side seeing Amelia drawing her hand away.

Riley really didn't want to leave her behind, but her sister was going out there as well even though she knew that Chloe could easily handle herself she also wanted to be sure that things went smoothly. She wasn't sure what they would be actually grabbing, sighing slightly Riley looked towards Tiffany, Kristina and Meghna. "Going on a quick run, just wanted to tell you guys." Riley held Amelia's hand for a moment giving it a loving squeeze and a quick kiss on the cheek before turning around to head towards the armory.

Riley turned to look over her shoulder giving Amelia a sad smile before heading off towards the armory, heading up along LaGrange Street putting her hands into her pockets for a moment to keep them a bit warm. Closing her eyes and then looking up at the sky wondering for a moment what was going on in the other world for their lost friends and family. As she got closer towards the armory she could hear her sister's voice and then the new guy's as well, getting the tail end of her sister's answer to his question. Riley snorted ever so slightly as she caught up with them. "Whats up Chloe and newbie?" Riley asked catching up to them.

Kristina Smith

Location: Mess Hall

Kristina listened more on their conversation and simply watched as Riley and Amelia spoke to one another, seeing their demeanor it was bad news she knew for sure about Ms. Sally. Seeing Amelia pulling her hand away from Riley's side, it seemed that she was going to be going on a run of some kind for Ms. Sally as Riley announced it to everyone. Seeing Riley kiss Amelia she smiled slightly, it was still good regardless to see relationships still in this world. Then Riley turned around to leave, Kristina set her shovel down once Riley had gone and made her way over towards Amelia.

Kristina gently laid a hand on Amelia's shoulder looking towards her. "Hey is everything alright?" Kristina asked looking towards Amelia with a concerned look on her face. She was sad to hear that Ms. Sally had just died as well, she didn't know if there was anything that she could have done either though. Kris looked over her shoulder at Meg and Tiffany, at least Riley said that she would be having her radio on so if anything did happen they would be able to hear it. "If you need a break you can." Kristina offered hopefully it will be an okay run for them seeing Meghna walking over towards them.

Meghna Kumar

Location: Outer Wall

Meghna gave Tiffany a slight shrug she wasn't really sure, but it was most likely bad news seeing Riley and Amelia's body gestures and demeanor change as well. "I don't know, but it looks like its bad news." Meghna answered Tiffany, hearing Riley and gave her a slight nod, she didn't see a problem with Amelia being close to her radio in case something did happen to her while out on that run. Meghna watched Kristina making her way towards Amelia to comfort her putting down the shovel in the process. "Lets take a break and see whats going on." Meg said, they have been at it for awhile now and she didn't see a problem in letting them all have a few minutes to take a break setting down her shovel onto the ground.

"Whats wrong?" Meghna asked as she approached Amelia and Kristina as she watched Riley walking off in the distance, then her attention went straight towards Amelia with a concerned look. It did seem like a serious conversation and it was more then just about going on a run, how much more bad news can happen in one day an attack or something?

Raymond Mendoza

Location: Building F Tatiana & Jack's Home

Raymond turned his head as Jack answered Tatiana's question, raising an eyebrow at the Ghost of Dick mentioned to Jack's head as far as he knew Ashton ran Newnan very well. And how he was going to be able to protect his family, Raymond saw Jack as a great person goofy at time though but a great guy at heart. He didn't get the Cleaver part either giving a slightly confused look and then shrugged slightly, but it wasn't anything yet. As far a Raymond knew Newnan was very safe from Eden, there hasn't been an attack in a long while since the snow started anyway.

Ray listened to Tatiana and gave her a slight smile, it did make him feel better and he also did have Tiffany as well to lean on he really loved her a lot. And she has been greatly helpful with his condition, he couldn't see a life without her either, and Tatiana did have a point though he wasn't a history buff people did live long lives with just one leg. It was also good to hear that he had people here to look after him as well. When Tatiana mentioned that she was pregnant he looked towards her with a surprised look, he wasn't expecting to hear that.

"Congrats, got any names picked out yet?" Raymond asked looking between the two of them, if they were able to have a kid on the way he was pretty sure that Tiffany and he could as well at some point. "And thank you." Raymond said softly he was grateful for Tatiana's words which made him feel better about himself.

Tiffany Lyle

Location: Outer Wall

Tiffany agreed and followed Meg over to where Kristina and Amelia were. Judging by the look of things, it was more bad news. Did they really need much else? Different scenarios ran through her head. It couldn't be an attack, as there was no alarms or panic happening. They already knew about the trouble the winter was posing for them. It had to be another death. Surely this soon after they lost three was too much.

Tiffany walked over to Amelia, stood next to her, and rubbed her arm for support. "If it hurts to tell, well find out some other way. If you need to go elsewhere, I'm sure the three of us can finish this here." She didn't want to step on Meg's toes as it was ultimately her decision, but surely if the girl looks to be on the verge of tears, it would be best if she did so in comfort.

Ash Holloway

Location: Agriculture: Storage (West Side between Inner and Outer Wall)

Tomatoes, yes. Those damned tomatoes had been haranguing him for the past few minutes, delaying Ash from the things he wanted to do, which in turn was delaying him from the work he needed to do. Still, this woman held her form close, and Ash could feel his will being sapped from him as he momentarily lost himself in her touch, the feel of her pressing against him. This woman had to be an angel. There was no getting around it. An angel sent from heaven to both comfort and tease the emotionally beleaguered Captain, giving him just enough of her blissful attention to keep him going, and yet maintaining a tactical professionalism that kept him focused when necessary. Ash had almost completely forgotten about the sudden, unprecedented hallucination from earlier, but just almost. It was a worry. Lucky for him, Thana seemed to divert a lot of his worry with plans for the immediate future. Already she was looking out for him and this community. Of course he was being directed. It's what a good leader does in times of crisis, keep people working toward a goal. Ash was impressed, even knowing he was the one being tasked.

Obviously, she had additional motivation to get a good piece of work out of him, which he wholeheartedly embraced. The words that Thana used, "clean ourselves up", brought about a dulcet wave of memory from the previous night. Images of cascading warm water, the scent of bath soap mingling with more primal, urgent sensations. Then of course, she had to go and use logic on him. "You seem to be right a lot, Thana." he whispered, one knee almost buckling as her teeth found his earlobe. He felt a distinct pang of disappointment when she pulled away from him, a sensation of relative cold where she used to be, both physically and emotionally. "Can't clean what isn't dirty." He could see a glimmer in Thana's eyes, one that echoed the pounding in his chest.

Ash noted the stack of bricks that Thana pointed out. He sighed, smiling gently, and began to take a sidestep in the direction of his task, when he saw something that forced a sudden stop. His taskmaster had turned her back to him, bending over to recover a bucket from nearby. He now had a decision to make. Ash recalled something that she had said, behind closed doors. Thana had said, very directly, that outside of his house they were totally professional. Only back inside were, as she put it, "all bets were off". To indulge a childish grab would be selfish, not to mention something that could have gotten him court martialed in his previous life. He sighed again, "You have no intention of making this easy, do you?" He nodded, regarding that wonderful woman. "Bricks it is, ma'am. But that other conversation we were having?" he said, referring to their more personal interactions just a moment past, "We have continue that later."

It was probably the only time that Ash had ever enjoyed moving bricks.

Black James(!)

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

James gave a quick smile as Beatrice joined him in the truck. Though the details were fuzzy concerning exactly what was going down, the quick and dirty basics were out there, all in the open. "Miss Bea, I'm glad you decided to come with. You ain't gotta do this thing with Eden, now, hear me? As I understand, it's best you eat a bullet 'fore you let them catch you alive. Keep it in mind. Understand, I mean to do dark things. More, anyway. I'm hopin' you don't think less of me after."

The misgivings of Gavin and his lack of extremely long-range hardware struck James as somewhat coincidental, as was Ryan's somewhat transparent advice to provide precisely that sort of hardware and set Gavin to the task. Truth was, the talented blackneck had already considered this as a possibility. There were a couple of vantage points where one might set up; windows or accessible roofs from which to fire, or the copse of trees that hid the warehouse from the main road, even in the winter. Perhaps the trees would be the best position, but it would really have to be up to whomever took the role of Sniper. These days, if you were going to snipe, you needed a spotter. Not to select targets and pick degrees on an imaginary grid, but to make sure the Walkers didn't sneak up and take to gnawing on you while you had some poor or deserving bastard in your sights. But hey, the former convict was correct. Throw the man a bone. They were all a team now. They had to be.

"You on point, Irish." he craned his head over to Gavin, "Hey there, Tex! I don't know 'bout no M25 SwS, but I got Alicia's old M24 in back of this here truck, if'n you wanna give this meet n' greet a little insurance."

Though the full accounting of what they did or did not have had not reached his ears yet, James did know a few things that he left the place with, personally. They were kind enough to let him keep his bug-out bag, which contained clothes, MREs, first aid kit, a knife and a machete (though he was more of a axe man, himself), poncho, water and extra collapsible jugs. He had the necklace that Kris had given him, and the box of assorted medical goodies provided by Niesha. While in is house, he had shuffled off to one of his escorts a few sundries. And of course, while kicking around for that satphone in the back of the truck, he located both it and his bow (with a fair number of arrows), plus his massive Barret anti-materiel rifle. James had tools and duct tape back there, things he came into Newnan with, but he had no accounting of anything else Jim put back there, nor the personal belongings of his new cohorts.

He was aware of some of the items in the houseboat, but he was not the only one to stock it over time. Along with the other watercraft at Newnan's disposal, thing was largely forgotten. Only he and Ash remained of the original group that put the stuff there, or even set up this little oasis. It would have been nice to have gotten permission to utilize the other boats that Newnan had claimed. The thought did cross his mind to set up a little flotilla in some nearby water source. Maybe not the lakes they were right next to, but close enough that his truck or any other towing vehicle they could scrape up wouldn't burn off the entirety of their precious gasoline trying to get there. Hell, if they could put down Eden, anyway. Plans for the future would have to be put on hold. James didn't have a future yet.

There were other stores, one in particular, if Newnan absolutely needed it. Of course, it would have been of better help if they had a pilot... Better, not necessary.

Introspective thought about things that might be was not helping. They had a meet to get to, and in very little time. "Aight, last call 'fore this train heads out, y'all. Last one get the gate, I'm outta here. Mr. Gavin, sir! Rifle's in back. Pick you out a comfy spot when we get closer, if'n you've got a mind to." James started up the truck, eager to get a move on.

Location: Closer to The Meet - IN A TANK

The directions were simple. Simple enough, at any rate. The past couple of minutes after Thalia's phone conversation had given her precious time to slow her heart rate and begin thinking like a survivor again. She relayed the turns necessary (or one major turn, really) to Lola in near monotone, thinking mainly about questions she wanted to ask to confirm that this guy was on the level, occasionally checking the optics in the turret to try and pick a fallback in case things got ugly. Naturally, that assumed that things got ugly and she was still alive. The bring alive bit was important primarily because she was going to be the most exposed in this little gathering. She had to be. This was her mission and she needed to take point; nothing else would do.

It generally went against her survival strategy, being vocal and in the open. She was more of a "quiet and to the side" kind of girl. It had worked very well for her so far. This was a highly personal affair and family honor demanded that she be front and center for it, even if she was the last of her family. Still, she didn't know that. Strongly suspected. Braced for. Accepted. And there was still hope in Texas and Mexico, certainly, though Thalia had no idea what it looked like out that way.

"Thanks there, Lolz. I'm going to have to make this up soon, yah? Okay, road's about to end. Hang yourself a left coming up, and keep this big, steel baby headed south. Lemme know when you pass a highway and come to a school." She was back in control of herself fully. A little anxiety could be felt in her chest, which she tried to push down. This was nothing more than an initial meeting with people who may or may not have credible information that, if accurate, would alter the parameters of her search. "Hey, Lola? If these people wind up being decent, let's not scare them off right away. They might know other stuff." Knowledge is key to survival, both Before and now. If they weren't decent people, well, it might not go so well for them.

Alexander Polawski

Location: Also Closer To A Meeting

Yeah this absolutely felt like they were heading into combat, just like the ol' times; talk about the what-to-do's and what-not-to-do's, sentimentally thanking each other for this and that, even the prospect of a reward or gift if one of the new guys actually pulled through alive. Now if they had actually been siting in a Huey blasting some good music over the speakers, Alexander would have questioned if he was back to his 20's.

"First I get warm coffee, then I get a ride on a tank and now a full meal? If I didn't know better, I'd say that you've grown fond of Ol' Gramps." Alexander chuckled as well, though he did geniuenly appreciate Lola's offer. Not that he thought he'd actually be allowed to join their little crew, but it made for a good laugh at least. Alexander still rubbed his head, the pain still pulsating hard for every heartbeat, though it was getting better. It helped that Lola wasn't driving the tank like they had the NVA right up their arses.

Seen as Thalia hadn't spoken to him again or told him what to do, Alexander resumed his quiet position in his seat. This was Thalia's personal stake they were talking about, and he wasn't going to go against the orders of who he, for the moment, saw as his superior. At least not until he possibly needed to get her the hell out of dodge.

Niesha

Location Building six:Armoury

Niesha was relieved when Jim made this easy, listening as he spoke, before nodding. She grabbed a backpack off the wall, going immediately for a couple of flashlights so she wouldn't forget. She looked over the weapons, searching for what she wanted, for her own bow, handed over what seemed like two lifetimes ago. Maybe it was two lifetimes ago. Searching until she found a bow she liked, checking to make sure it wasn't labeled, Niesha held it in her hands a moment, drawing in a breath, and letting it out slowly. Her fingers curled around the bow, before she ran her fingers along it, making sure there were no faults with it, although she was sure they were checked when they came in. Satisfied, she quickly grabbed some arrows, spending a moment putting them in the pack, so that they would be in easy reach. She spent another moment stringing the bow, slinging it over her shoulder, the weight both familiar and comforting. It had been so long since she'd had a bow.

Thinking, she eyed the other weapons. She'd need something else, for when the bow couldn't be used in close combat. Something sharp. She scanned the options for a moment or two, before grabbing an axe. Part of her thought a baseball bat was too… comic book like. Besides, if the corpses were fresh, it might take a few swings to break through the skull and damage the brain enough. Safer to stick with the axe. A good swing, and they were dead dead. She slipped it through a belt loop, making sure it wouldn’t move and stab her, before she looked to other things they might need.

Taking Jim’s advice, she grabbed a few flares, sticking them in the pack, making a mental note of where everything was, for easy retrieval. Going through this, she grabbed a lighter, making a note to go get some water, and some food- just in case they got stuck outside the walls for the night. It was always good to be prepared. She cursed silently to herself. She should have thought to get some first aid supplies, some basic stuff, from Medical before leaving.

Sighing to herself, she approached Jim, so he could check everything off. ”i think everything is okay” she said softly, in case he didn’t see her approach.
