Unsurprisingly, the teacher hadn't been impressed. As he'd gone through their answers, he'd repeatedly lambasted the students for only focusing on their own Quirks, or a single aspect thereof. And yet, when he'd gotten to her essay, he'd almost seemed... proud of her?

She didn't really understand it. Like with the others, he'd told her that she needed to find more ways to use her Quirk. However, he also hadn't expected her to employ it in the way she'd suggested, but what was more, he was actually glad she'd just relied on everyone else's abilities? It didn't really make sense to her. She was supposed to be here to find new ways to use her own Quirk to solve things herself, but she'd only depended on others, as usual... So then why wasn't he mad at her?

The rest of the class passed by rather quickly. Apparently, she'd need to record herself using her Quirk in daily life, which didn't seem like it'd be difficult, since even if she couldn't record herself doing things with her Quirk, she could always just project memories of what she'd done, so if she just recorded her surroundings, then... Except if she was supposed to present it in the classroom, there wouldn't be much space to project real, solid copies of things. In that case, she'd have to use a video camera. But she'd never had a need to use such a thing before, so she neither had one nor knew how they worked. For a moment, she entertained the thought of asking Yoshida to help her, but then quickly recalled his earlier admonition, and her earlier gloom came back in force. The moment the bell rang, she began packing her things, and departed without a word.

Leaving the class and heading downstairs, she found her way out of the main school building. Already, she was starting to get used to its floorplan, so navigating its many halls and floors would likely grow easier soon. As she emerged from the east wing, she found herself over in the small courtyard she'd seen upon her arrival that morning, the leaves of the large tree she'd climbed fluttering in the breeze. She didn't really have anything else to do that day, so she probably should have just returned to her room... But then she remembered that whoever her roommate was would probably be moving in, so if she went back, she'd only just get in someone's way. Even if they were already done, it would probably be incredibly awkward. It was best if she just didn't bother them for right now.

So, not really knowing what else to do, she was just about to sit down and just watch the rest of the day pass by when, out of the corner of her eye, she saw a sight she couldn't bring herself to believe. And yet, even as she blinked, rubbed her eyes, and adjusted her glasses, the familiar specter didn't disappear. Then... that meant...!

In an instant, she had leaped to her feet and was rushing for the front gate, which had already begun to slowly close as two figures made their way slowly up the front walk. She crossed the courtyard at a dead sprint, spreading her arms wide and then-

Their only warning had been a sudden series of loud, quick footsteps. Having just walked through the gate, Asuka had just been consulting with her map of campus to try to figure out where the dorm building was, while Harukaze had been doing... something. She'd been hobbling along rather strangely close beside Asuka, as if purposefully placing herself in the taller girl's shadow, and had pulled up the hood of her rather tacky mantle, letting its brim droop well over her face. What the hell, did she think they were breaking in or something? Who or what was she hiding from? The only person around who Asuka could see was some blonde kid standing outside, who they quickly passed once security allowed them in. Regardless, it wasn't like she had much time to think about her unwanted companion's strange behavior, because suddenly, from the opposite direction, a golden comet with a tail of blonde hair slammed into her rather gloomy counterpart and pulled her into such a tight tackle hug that the younger Motome was certain that Harukaze would snap in two. For her part, the raven-haired girl gave a slight squeak of surprise, then awkwardly tried to return the unexpected hug.

"F-Fumi?!" She exclaimed, her artificial leg creaking as she tried to retain her balance, then gave up and settled for simply leaning against the much taller girl who'd just ambushed her.

"Haruka! What are you doing here at Komei? I'm glad, though...! I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to call, I was really busy today. We had a big fight and I found someone who's really fast and strong like you and I almost beat him and then we-"

Asuka blinked, rubbing her eyes in disbelief. There was only one person she knew with such long, braided hair... especially considering that a particular rather distinctive lock of it was sticking bolt upright and twitching wildly back and forth. But... In all her life, she'd never known her sister to be anything other that disturbingly placid, calm, and gloomy. Had the world gone insane? Why was her sister, who had gone through life so quietly you'd swear she'd been dosed up on bull elephant grade tranquilizers, dive-tackling people out of nowhere, gushing about... whatever the hell she was rambling about? She'd known that Fumika admired Harukaze, and had spent a lot of time with her, but wasn't this a bit much? In the first place, when had Fumika ever shown the capacity for this much emotion? It was like... like they were actually friends, and not just that Harukaze was willing to put up with her antics, unlike Asuka herself...

The younger Motome frowned, tossing her braid back over her shoulder and giving a quiet huff. She folded the map brochure back up and slipped it back into her bag, grumbling to herself all the while.

"I come all this way to make sure she's settled in alright, and she doesn't even notice I exist. What am I, chopped liver?"

Two blue eyes peered quite suddenly down at her from between curtains of blonde hair as her sister's head popped up, perching on Harukaze's shoulder while still not releasing her from her clingy embrace.

"I don't know. Are you?" Just like that, her voice was back to the way Asuka remembered it, with that quiet, airy quality that made it sound like she was talking in her sleep. Even though her eyes were looking straight at her, it was like she couldn't even see her there. And in the first place, what sort of response was that?! There was no way she wasn't being mocked, no way her insufferable elder sibling wasn't just sarcastically telling her to get lost. That idiotic look on her face, the way she feigned obliviousness all the time... There was no way she was that stupid. No, this had to be a deliberate insult on her part, a way of getting her back for what she'd said all those years ago. Her real meaning had to be something like "You want me to stop bothering you? Fine, I'll just ignore you completely! La la la, I can't hear you!" It was so disgustingly childish it made Asuka want to smack her.

Asuka bit her lip, once again holding back the familiar anger. She took a deep breath, and, in her defense, at least managed to limit herself to just a retort. Really, if she wasn't so patient with her annoying sibling, then really, she could have done much worse, so Fumika should have been grateful.

"Nice to see you too, idiot," She shot back, her tone oozing sarcasm.

Her elder sister blinked, frowned, and then slowly shrank back behind the tiny girl she was still clinging to, as if she was trying to hide behind her, as if she was being bullied... Just what the hell was that supposed to mean? "Oh, how could you be so mean?" You conniving, insufferable little...! Just as quickly as she'd tried to drive it back, she found the old anger boiling over yet again. Don't act like you weren't telling me to piss off just now. Don't play innocent and try to guilt trip me, I know you don't want to see me! The younger Motome glared daggers at her sibling, but for Fumika's part she simply looked away. So she was back to pretending Asuka didn't even exist. Fine. If that was the way she wanted it, then that was what she'd get.

"Well, enjoy your little reunion," She muttered, turning and taking out her phone. There really was no point... She'd tried explaining this to her parents, and yet they'd asked her to come anyway. It didn't matter where she was, though, whether in Hosu or back home...

Because Motome Fumika clearly hated her sister.

Haruka winced, her eyes darting back and forth as she tried to steal a glance at the rest of the school. She wanted to shake free of Fumika's grasp, wanted to hide before anybody could notice her, but she couldn't do that without upsetting her friend. Damn it, damn it, damn it! How had she managed to get herself roped into coming to the one place she absolutely couldn't afford to be seen? And why... why did he have to be standing just outside at a time like this?! If Fumika kept saying her name, he'd hear her for sure. What if he got curious and came back? What if he saw her?! What if anyone saw her?! If word got out that there was a strange dark-haired girl on campus, Jett was exactly the sort of person who'd immediately realize who it was based on nothing but gut instinct. And if he figured out that she'd been there and hadn't told him, he'd be furious. He'd demand answers, and regardless of whether or not she gave them to him, their "friendship" would be over. If he found out what had become of her... Wouldn't he be angry at her for failing? If he knew how helpless and weak she was now, he'd be disgusted! Or... even worse, he'd just pity her! Either way, she'd never be able to stand on his level, never be able to look him in the eye again. And if she didn't tell him anything, then he'd just get angry. He'd hate her for sure. And then, she'd...

"Fumi, I'm happy to see you, but stop being so loud, please!" She hissed, trying not to make too much sound. If Jett so much as heard her voice, then he'd know it was her.

"I'm sorry," Fumika apologized, the hurt look on her face turning to one of confused guilt that made Haruka want to slam her head against a wall. Of course she couldn't understand what was going on, and her stuck up little sister's attitude hadn't exactly helped things either. This was Fumika, after all.

"It's not your fault," She said quietly. Damn it, even if this did work, it was sure to backfire on her later when Fumika's curiosity got the better of her... but for now, honesty was her only chance. She needed to get moving, and quickly, before Jett could come back. "Don't apologize. It's just... there's someone at this school who absolutely can't know that I'm here, no matter what. He's very close by, and we need to run, right now."

Fumika blinked, seeming surprised, but, as usual, she didn't question it. Haruka breathed a sigh of relief. Even though she had no idea what was going on, Fumika would still do what she was asked without question. That much, if nothing else, she could count on. "But you can't run, though," She said innocently. Haruka winced again, but for different reasons. One of these days... She'd definitely have to teach Fumi the meaning of tact one of these days. She wasn't sure how she'd do it, or if it was even possible, but it needed to happen.

"No. No I can't. So you need to carry me, alright?" God... Why did she, of all people, have to ask for such a thing? It was so pathetic... so utterly pathetic that she, who was faster and stronger than anyone, now had to rely on someone else just to keep her pride...! But there was no choice. Any moment now, Jett could see her!

"Okay." Fumika nodded, let go of her, then, in an instant, picked her up and scooped her off the ground as if she was weightless. For perhaps the first time, Haruka gave thanks that she was so diminutive. That'd make it easier for Fumika to get her away.

Turning, Fumika glanced at Asuka and then frowned. She seemed to want to think long and hard about something, but she didn't have the time, so, instead, she simply spoke.

"Sister. We're going to the dorms now."

Asuka looked up, then did a double take, seeing Fumika staring blankly into the distance and holding Haruka in her arms. Without waiting for a response, Fumika took off, leaving her little sister to sprint after them, trying to catch up.

"Oi, wait! What the hell, you two? Why are we running all of a sudden?! What's even going on?!"

From under the brim of her hood, Haruka glanced back over Fumika's shoulder at the gate, ignoring the cries of protest that came from the younger Motome.

Please. Please don't let him have heard. Please don't let him come back. Please... Please don't let him see!

The other guy introduced himself, and offered to let Kenichi call him by his given name. It was probably a good thing that the breathing mask was covering most of Kenichi's face, because he had a hard time reigning in his expression in response to that. It was one thing with some of the students who didn't have Japanese style names--which were a lot, actually, now that he thought about it--but Ayato was clearly Japanese and for another thing they didn't know each other really well yet, and for another thing calling somebody by their given name implied being very familiar with them, and given that the two of them were room-mates now he didn't want other students to make the wrong assumption about just what kind of familiar relationship they had. As a matter of fact he had a sudden, horrifying mental image:

He and Ayato sat on a bench eating their lunches, and the other boy spoke to him.

"Kenichi-kuuun~, that sure looks good!" Why did he sound like this in Kenichi's head, he didn't sound like that in real life.

"It is, Kamina-kun! Ya wanna try some?"

But then when he looked up, Fumika was looking at him with clear, crushing disdain in her eyes.

"Ah." she said, as her ahoge pointed at him accusingly. "So Yoshida was like that. I see."

Everything around him went black as his face turned almost as blue as his hair. Then the mental world shattered like glass.

"I, uh, wouldn't wanna seem rude to impose." he managed, turning his head and coughing into his fist...even though he was wearing a mask...

”That’s fine. It won’t bother me. Actually, if you don’t care, I’ll join you on your workouts. I really need to start working out more.” Kamina got changed in his workout gear too. He was ready to follow Kenichi to the gym.

"Ah, sure I guess." Kenichi was still on guard, but the idea of helping someone else improve appealed to him. Although if this was Ayato's first time using a real gym's equipment he might need some actual lessons to keep him from hurting himself, especially if he tried to follow Kenichi's lead instead of going at his own pace...

What was he mumbling about?

"Say, uh," Kenichi began as he pointed to the small flickering light that had just disappeared somewhere behind Ayato. "Are those lights part of your Quirk? If ya don't mind my asking, what is it?"

After cleaning up the cafeteria Donny heading over to a supermarket called “Mega Tenko”, some fox themed mart that All Might endorsed a while back. They were having a sale on meats and onions, so he decided that tonight for dinner he shall be making a beef bowl. He also of course wanted to pair off his meal with a desert, so he figured he'll go for a cheese cake. Simple enough for him. Shopping didn't take long as the lines moved fast and Donny knew everything he wanted. With everything in his tote bags he headed home.

But of course things weren't so simple.

”Y-Y-You…” As Donny walked through the neighborhood just enjoying the sights he ran into someone that made his nonexistent blood run cold. ”Me!” It was Shiki. She was eating a corn dog and seemed to have done some shopping herself. Her constantly, shark teeth smile made Donny visibly panicked. He had no idea what to do. ”Hmm? Yes? Is there something on my face?” Shiki said playfully as she did wipe some ketchup off her lips. She approached Donny which caused him to freeze up.

”Oh come on. I'm not a demon and I don't bite. Don't be so scared! You're hurting a young maiden’s feeling here…” Shiki said with faked sadness. Donny just stood there paralyzed with fear. Before he could react she was right in front of him and opened his eyes, revealing the blackness inside. It was only then that Donny stumbled backwards and fell onto his butt. ”Oho, so it's true. You were that black monster at the training ground! Good job with Point B by the way. Really smart idea there, my team ended up wasting so much resources trying to take it. Ah, if only we had that sort of power...” Donny’s lips trembled as he tried to get a word in. Shiki glanced at him as if actually wanting to hear what he had to say to defend himself. ”I-I told them to leave! N-N-N-No one had t-t-to get h-h-h-hurt!” this brought a smile to Shiki’s face as she stepped closer to Donny. Then she put a hand on his cheek so he had to look up to her, with the sun against her back.

”Did I say it was your fault? You really do lack confidence in yourself, Dark Matter~” Donny’s face turned to shock when she called him that name. Only Mina should know him by that name. ”People fear power, and you certainly are one of the most powerful students in your class. Ah, if only you realized that. Everyone else did and they're trying to rein you in. Teachers, students, even your friends will try to hold you back. Even you've blamed yourself for the power you've been given! Now that just isn't fair. It's not as if you choose to be like this.” Donny tried to get a word in but Shiki just didn't give him the chance. She squished his cheeks together like some sort of chicks before letting him fall back to the ground. ”So sad to think that your new friends are just taking advantage of you. Again. Shiki snapped her fingers and something just went through Donny’s mind. A painful memory that he's been suppressing. It came all in a flash but he remembers it as if he was still there.

By the time Donny looked up Shiki was gone. Getting to his feet Donny was in a daze. He wasn't sure what he was doing with himself anymore. Slowly he walked back towards the dorm. ”Food… Just gotta eat… Eat and forget…” Eventually Donny returned to the dorms. While normally most students would be excited about getting their own rooms, bunking with one of their fellow students, and other sort of block party stuff, Donny had specifically asked for his own room, even if it was a smaller one. He didn’t want people to see him in his true form and right now he felt like he needed the alone time. Figuring that most of the kids were either studying in their rooms or out Donny headed straight towards the kitchen. There was a community fridge that Donny could store his stuff in, at least he was pretty certain there was. But when Donny went to the kitchen he could see that there was already some people busy at work here. He needed the oven and stove, so he tried to leave before anyone noticed him.

”I’ll just have to set up my stuff in my room, I guess.”

It was the end of the day and Mamoru was ready to play. Except she had a bunch of homework to do. ”Uuuugh! It's the first day of school! Why is there so much homework!” Mamoru pouted in abject frustration. She wanted to use this time to fool around with her fellow students but the teachers had assigned them so much busy work on the first day! Mamoru decided that she'll just do the work later. Maybe ask some of the other girls to help her out to get it done quicker. She wanted to decorate her dorm room first and see which cutie was going to have the pleasure of bunking with Mamoru.

Reaching the dorm’s lobby Mamoru went straight to the notice board. Dorm assignment would be found there. She kept looking for her name and eventually found it. ”Ah ha! Let's see, and my buddy is….”

Luelle hummed as she walked towards the dorm lobby. After a long day of searching and going to each of her classes, she was a bit tired. She dragged her suitcase behind her after finding it in the office, she began to wander who was going to be her roommate. It wasn't like she was nervous or anything, but she was a little nervous about meeting her new roommate. Were they going to be friends? Could they get along? Would it be someone she met already today? She honestly had no idea.

Reaching the dorm lobby, she saw Mamoru already was there looking at the room assignments. Smiling a little bit, she walked over and tapped her shoulder.

“Hi Mamoru” she said to the taller female.

Turning around Mamoru found no one at first. But then she looked down and found Luelle! Almost immediately the pinkette wrapped her arms around the little girl. ”Ooooooh Luelle! I knew you'd find me!” Picking the smaller girl up Mamoru hugged the girl tightly to her chest and just cuddled with her. Luelle was as cute as a button, and yet as deadly as a bullet to the head.

”Hey, guess what?” Carrying the girl in her arms Mamoru pointed at the dorm room assignment paper. Next to Mamoru’s name was Luelle’s. ”We're dorm buddies!” Mamoru muzzled Luelle’s head with her chin,

Luelle laughed as Mamoru picked her up hugging her. She hugged her back as tightly as she could. It took a little bit for the news Mamoru just said to finally clock in her head and she smiled brightly.
”That is amazing!” She said loudly ignoring the stares they were getting from of the other students around as Luelle hugged Mamoru tighter.

Happiness and relief filled Luelle. She was glad to have Mamoru as her roommate. She seem like a very cool person and very energetic. Luelle could tell they would be the best of friends in no time.

Finally being released from the hug. Luelle grabbed her suitcase handle, smiling so much that she was sure her cheeks were going to hurt later on.

”Well shall we go our new room?”

”Totally!” Mamoru glanced at the board again to see where their room was at. ”Third floor. Let's go!” Mamoru dashed from her standing spot after letting go of Luelle to head to the third floor. Even if Luelle took the elevator there, Mamoru would still be the first one to arrive. ”Hello! I'm back!” Mamoru shouted into the empty dorm.

The room was quite big, bigger than Mamoru old room. Luelle and Mamoru’s stuff was already here packed up and boxed, so now all they needed to do was decorate. Mamoru was quite excited to personalize her room a lot. She wanted for Luelle with barely contained excitement. ”Yiiii! Ya ready Lulu-chan?”

Luelle smiled and nodde. Going towards the right side of the room where her stuff was Luella began to unpack her new supplies to make her bed. Her bedsheets were rather unique. Her bedsheets were a custom made. The sheet itself had a black background and decorated with many chibis of many styles, many actions, and many emotions. The pillow cases were the same way but they were blue it was. The bed comforter however was different. It was black but in the center was a anime girl but she almost looked like Luelle, but some things marked her different. The woman had amber gold color hair instead of white and reached her shoulders. It was curled at the end making it look fluffy. She was surrounded by the element of fire. Luelle smiled a little.

Seeing the look on Mamoru face, she decided to explain, ”My mom made this for me before she died, she was a sheet maker and was well off because of it. She wanted me to have some physical memory of my mother since she died when I was like 8 and my sister was 5. My mom’s quirk funny enough was fire and my dad was ice. Who knew combining two rival elements together would create a unique quirk like mine” Luelle sighed as she sat down.

”My dad couldn't stand her and even after her dad, the hate grew when he learned he wouldn't gain any of the money that his own wife made from her business. While some went to the employees that worked for her and tied some loose ends, 50% of what was left went to me and the other went to my sister, but the downside, we don't have access to the money until we are both 25 or until we can prove we can be responsible to have access”

Going to her things Mamoru also unpacked her junk. Her bed was decorated in fine silk and mink blankets, as well as pillows woven from Egyptian cotton with memory foam pillows. All thanks to her mother. Mamoru also had brought her game station from home and even rigged up her flatscreen on the wall so she could not only watch TV and movies but also play games. And Mamoru had so much clothes she had to bring another closet just to contain her extra outfits. So much clothes, most of them left overs from her family’s sales. Mamoru was always eager to pick up free stuff.

As Mamoru had packed up her things she listened to Luelle’s tale. It was sad, yet at the same time impressive. Mamoru had heard of stuff like quirk marriages and knew that the number two hero, Endeavor, engaged in that shady practice. Mamoru wondered if Luelle’s parents were the same though hearing about Luelle’s mother did put a slight hitch to that idea. Mamoru was no genius but she knew better than to speak ill of the dead. Still Luelle’s father must have been some piece of work if he got nothing from his wife’s inheritance.

”That's some pretty heavy stuff Luelle!” Mamoru exclaimed simply. Seems like she wouldn't let the topic bring her mood down too much. ”I can't say I understand all of it. Kinda scary to think about it really… Buuuut I know one thing! You're carrying a big weight on your shoulders.” Mamoru sat on her bed and looked towards Luelle, a friendly smile on her face. A smile was practically Mamoru’s default expression. ”I'm sure leaving America to come to Japan, to become a hero here at Komei, was not a small decision. To not only leave behind your family, but also to escape your troubles at home while taking up this new responsibility to become a defender of the world… Well I guess that does sound like more than most bargain for, Nya? However!”

Mamoru pounced towards Luelle and poked the little girl on the nose. ”I'm a hero too! And whenever you're troubled by villains or demons from your past, call for me and I'll come running! I can't say I'm very smart or even all that strong, but I'll never leave someone who needs my help.”

Luelle smiled at her roommate and friend. ”Thanks Mamoru. My sister always says that our father doesn't truly care for us. He wants to use me for his own self gain. But I don't believe it because he shows he cares for us. He always says whoever I comment on it ‘Oh it's just because your sister is quirkless. She is just jealous that you have an amazing quirk and she has nothing’ I learned never to listen to much from my sister as much as it saddened me. I just didn't want to listen to anymore of her lies” She frowned a little and then smiled at Mamoru.

”You are right. It was no small decision, but I made it anyway. I want to learn more about all this. More than what I could ever learn by myself at home. My dad can't use his quirk so he can't teach me.” She held Mamoru’s hand.

”You say you aren't smart, but yet you are smart. You know how to get me to smile faster than anyone else ever has. You have become my own personal hero. I am happy to have a great friend like you as my roommate” She smiled.

Turns back to the box next to her, she giggled as she pulled out a very beautiful light purple Kimono that was lightly designed with pink cherry blossoms. It had a dark purple sash that went around and formed a bow. Connected to it was a black furry cat tail. She blushed.

”Oh geez. This was my costume for my school’s Halloween dance party. Someone must have snuck this into my box without me looking” She said.

”Meep.” Mamoru chirped as Luelle called Mamoru her personal hero. She was still a hero in training, but Mamoru felt all warm and fuzzy inside being able to help a friend. As Mamoru went back to putting her thing up she noticed that Luelle had a cute kimono. Apparently she wore it to Halloween. Just eyeballing it Mamoru could tell it wasn’t one of those cheap cotton ones they’d sell as a budget fashion, but actually half-made. Not as great as her mother’s own kimonos, but still it was very luxurious. But when Mamoru saw the cat tail she had stars in her eyes.

”Luelle… Time to make your highschool debut!” Mamoru pounced on Luelle, forcing her to change out of her school uniform and into her cute cat kimono. Mamoru even searched through her thing to accessorize Luelle even more, including wigs, contacts, and makeup. Mamoru was so aggressive that by the time Luelle could even open her eyes she was standing in front of a mirror all dressed up. Mamoru had somehow customized Luelle’s cat kimono into a japanese-style maid kimono, painted her nails, and even braided Luelle’s hair into two loops. And to top it all off, she even fitted Luelle with a cat-ear hairband with the exact shade of silver as Luelle’s hair. In a box near Luelle’s feet was full of silver cat ears, but of varying shades. Evidently when it came to dressing up Mamoru was quite prepared.

”Cute~” Mamoru gushed as she saw Luelle. ”Let’s head to the lobby and show you off to the others!”

Luelle made a cute noise as Mamoru pounced on her yet again, this time with determination in her actions. She couldn't even react as she felt herself stripped of her uniform.

”M-Mamoru!” her voice was lost of her roommate’s ears as she was changed into a modified version of her old kimono, but she had a feeling her friend wasn't done and how right she was.

She felt her face become a little heavy meaning she was getting makeup put on her. She wiggled her face from time to time as she got used to it. She felt her hair being played with and twisted into a style she didn't know and to too it was a headband of some kind.

Opening her eyes, she gasped when she saw herself in the mirror. She saw the ears and smiled at them. Her eyes widened as she looked at Mamoru. She barely registered what she had said before she heard what she suggested.

”Y-yeah let's.” She said, a light blush dusting her cheeks.

Mamoru took Luelle out of their room and down towards the dorm main hall. She wanted to show off Luelle to everyone. But before she could, she noticed another room open and Mamoru’s smile widen. It was Kaida. ”I can’t let this chance go to waste! KAIDA! LET'S PLAY!” Mamoru shouted into the room. She just barged out and grasped Kaida around the shoulders. ”Luelle, help me take Kaida back to my room!”

Sweat dropping at Memory, she followed after her and saw her grabbing Kaida. He blinked and shook her head a little in amusement.

”Um, perhaps inviting is better Mamoru”

Much to JoJo’s surprise, her roommate opted in to tag along with her on the run, something she hadn’t expected from someone who was just talking about how tired they were. Regardless, this run was mainly for her to rebuild the electricity surging throughout her body and normalize it to be like it normally is, it may have been back but it was far weaker than what she was used to. As they ran something else happened that JoJo had never seen her quirk do, bolts of energy began to flare up from her body arching around her body and reentering at another point and only continued to do so more violently causing JoJo to stop out of concern. Joann looked at her body as it began to glow and for a split seconding her memory snapped back to the point at the gym when she felt the sudden rush of power just before passing out only this was much tamer. The bolts stopped and her body began to glow as she was elevated to a heightened form, in reality just taken back to what she considered normal.

“I think I just leveled up, ” she said, inspecting her body, making sure she wasn’t the living lightning rod or a walking flashlight. “Alright all checks out, let’s speed up for a little bit at least to the next turn, I need to check if it's actually back to normal” Joann explained bending down into a running position. The energy gathered around her legs and feet and exploded as she took off, defiantly faster than she remembered but that wasn’t such a bad thing. She was so enamored by her own quirk she wasn't exactly looking where she was going until she collided with another fellow student with the full force of her speed run.

This specific dorm house had a fairly powerful central heating unit and it had been running on full blast all day and although anyone could head it running the temperature never went down. One could check the vents and notice that they were in fact blowing cold air but the atmosphere in the building felt like constant dry seventy-five degrees. The heat would spike rapidly in what seemed like random roaming areas, but what Takeshi would soon find out they weren’t random, as the elevator door opened and out stepped Retha in her full on pro hero costume as the Salamander.

“What are you doing roaming the hallways, better not be up to anything suspicious” she proclaimed, just being near her felt like being roasted over an open fire, thankfully her suit kept the bulk of the heat from spreading but it was intense. “You are Takeshi yes?” she questioned “You and your sister just got transferred to my dorm, your room is on this floor I should hope you’d like to unpack?”

Kasuke Mina

Mina kept pace and listened to JoJo talk about her quirk 'levelling up', before Jojo then shot off at faster speeds than Mina could keep up with. Even so, Mina quickened her pace (but not to a sprint) and followed behind, the distance between the two widening. 'Huh,' Mina thought to herself. "What a fitting metaphor for her quirk leaving my quirk in the dust."

When she finally caught up with JoJo, she'd collided with another student, noticeably the tall, quiet one with the REALLY impressive quirk. Fumika, her name was, if Mina recalled correctly. There were two other girs with her that Mina had never seen before. Mina circled round them, concerned. "Everybody okay?" she asked.

@Noxx@Feyblue

Maeda Hitomi

Hitomi watched Fumika leave, and thought about going after her, but Fumika had no intention of opening up before. She probably just wanted to be alone. But she will open up, in time. Hitomi had a mission now. In the meantime, Hitomi should probably go and collect her stuff from the office where it was moved out of her old room, and take it to her new one, which she was sharing with a Hero Course student! Albeit a first year. Then again, maybe that's normal. Maybe part of their education into being Hero Support was to support a Hero in a school setting; gossip, share problems, listen, be a shoulder to cry on, etc.

---

When Hitomi got to her room, two cute girly suitcases in tow, she saw her roommate rolling around on the soft carpets. She'd look up to see a sheep girl looking over her. The girl's hare was floofy and quite long, and she had noticeable sheep ears and goat horns. She also had a very cute face, very kind eyes, and quite a large bust for her age. She was giggling down at Tomoe's display of cuteness.

Ayato Kamina

Kamina looked at him a little funny when he said he didn’t want to impose. What was he imposing? He just said he could use his given name. Maybe, that meant more to him. Whatever it was, he was just going to stick with calling him Yoshida for now. He still wondered why it meant so much to him though.

He realized he might be the one imposing. He didn’t want to seem like he had to work out with him. He definitely didn’t want to be a burden to him. He already knew how to work most equipment, and he knew his limits. Although, he planned on not using his quirk this time. It was easy enough to do a lot of things with his quirk, but now he needed to prepare himself to act even without it. Yoshida definitely seemed a lot stronger than him. There was no way to keep up with him for now. He agreed to letting him join though, so it was fine.

“Ah that’s fine.” It wasn’t surprising he was asking about his quirk now. ”They are my quirk, and there’s seven of them that act like a boost in different ways. They make me act weird though, so it’s hard to use multiple at once. They boost things like strength, speed, senses and even healing. It feels weird to share them though.” He stopped sharing after that. It was the gist of his quirk.

He walked over to the door. ”You ready to go?”

”So you’re not even going to introduce us properly.”

”That’s pretty rude, jerk.”

Kamina gave a sigh. It was going to happen inevitably at some point.”They also have their own personalities. I could introduce all of them if you want. I was also wondering what your quirk was.”

Roy Kusayanagi
Acion Nakamiji
Michiko Yashiro

Acion was trying to find the room he was in when he heard a voice coming from his right. Turning his head to the said direction, a familiar face was immediately recognized, along with a seemingly sarcastic remark.

”Icarus?” Whether or not Roy meant it, Acion wasn’t very pleased. ”You want me to fall out of the sky?”

According to the myth, it was Icarus’s carelessness and arrogance that led to his untimely, slow and painful doom: drowned in the Icarian. From that on, people had considered that to be the saddest myth ever, and that Icarus was a sign of unluckiness. For that, having been called with that name...was kind of unpleasant.

But did the guy really mean it?

Nevermind…

It wouldn’t meddle with his path anyway.

”I’m in room 2.3 it seems.”

Roy raised a eyebrow as Acion thought too deep about the subject. He could see it on his face as he questioned the boy if he wanted him to fall out the sky. He then said that he was in the same room as the boy, though Roy really began questioning if he wanted to be in the same dorm as Acion.

“Looks like we are roommates then, I guess you lucked out. I don't necessarily make a lot of noise or keep the room messy.” Roy smirked, as he walked ahead to the room opening the door. “This is pretty cool don't you think? Having your own room and learning how to become a hero?” Roy said as he took the bed made for him. The other bed was larger and modified for Acion’s physiology, “and no I didn't mean that Icarus thing” Roy said to put the boy at ease. The boy began unpacking his belongings and placing them accordingly along with a command hook against the wall for his cloak. He took off his uniform and fixed it in the closet along with his other uniforms. He took out an adidas track jacket, some gym shorts, and some running shoes. “Since we are gonna be roommates for the year we should get to know each other better”

So he’s gonna spend a full year with him. Well, sure. Acion didn’t have much problems with him, perhaps didn’t have any, since Roy wasn’t that annoying Jett, nor he was that grumpy and overly-reactive Ezra. He was much more tolerable, and appeared to be a simple and friendly guy. And that’s great. The fact that he was on the path to becoming a true hero didn’t really matter, as it appeared that everyone was the same anyway.

”Yes, and it appears that my request has not been taken lightly.” Acion said as he gazed over his own bed. It was large, large enough so that he does not have any sort of problems with his wings colliding with other stuff. That other stuff is mostly people.

Oh, the memories. Of nearly being kicked out of the room, and switched to a single room back in middle school, because of his tendency to flap wings instinctively when he was sleeping, causing not so little number of injuries. A bad habit that he still retained until now. Hopefully, with this new bed, he would not flow into the old path once more. Nor that Roy would be able to notice that habit of his. Let’s hope that he was an early sleeper.

As Roy was settling into his own room, Acion did the same. He was told by the school staff that his stuff had already been transferred there. It indeed was. But by whom, he did not know, until he came to a stack of box that was placed at the corner. The top most box had a tag attached.

‘I’ve got the guys to help you with the stuffs, so that you don’t have to do it by yourself. Just focus on your studies and training.’

And the acronym below the line

‘Au’

And the terrible dribble of the TIE Defender from Star Wars.

’Geez’

She loved that series so much huh?

Acion gave a small laugh at that, as he began to put away his stuff to where it should be. Noticing that his roommate, Roy, was sporting a stylish pair of shoes and a sporting attire, Acion couldn’t help but actually get his feet up.

”Of course. Let us make progress as we go.”

Roy closed his dresser and slid the empty suitcases under his bed, he switched clothes and began lacing up his runners. “So what do you have planned for his afternoon?” Roy asked as he pulled tight in his shoe strings before making a bow. “My afternoon is pretty much open, though if there was something I wanted to do. I want to get some of those cookies that I smelled downstairs.” The boy moved onto the other shoe before standing up and straightening his track jacket and gym shorts. He quickly fixed his hair in the mirror before getting ready to go back down. “I am gonna go check out that cookie smell” he said as he made his way back to the lobby rubbing his hands together.

As he walked into the  kitchen he saw a rather very attractive girl there with cookies. His pace slowed as he began walking slower, she didn't appear to be sporting the Komei academy uniform either nor had he seen her before. The class 1-A boarding house was supposed to contain only students of that class. “Hey, are you in the wrong house? You don't seem to be wearing the Komei Academy uniform either...buuutt you do have those deliciously smelling cookies so I'll let it slide. The name is Roy Kusayanagi, Class 1-A hero course.” He said with a smile at the girl, Mann did it feel good saying he was in the Hero course. It definitely had a different feel from the average Joe general studies title. “What year are you in because this is my first time meeting you?” Roy said as he took a seat at a table.

“There are cookies?”

He’s right.

There were indeed odors of something fresh and pleasant, apparently coming from the kitchen downstair. The smell that he could relate to, months ago, possibly years ago, to the memories that was hidden deep in the hollows that he missed so much.

Just a year more, then he would be able to relive that moment as much as he wanted...

While the winged boy was busy dealing with the shards of his memories, Roy had already gone ahead of him.

”Hey wait.”

He sped up after him, briefly losing track of him as he headed downstair.

”This guy’s fast…”

But Acion knew his destination already. He paced down towards the kitchen as well, figuring that Roy would be there, as well as following the smell as well. There, he noticed a fairly young, and pretty girl standing there along with a tray of cookies, with the blonde guy sitting on the table. She wasn’t wearing Komei’s uniform, and she looked rather young, comparing to both Roy and Acion. He couldn’t help but wonder her identity. However, the facial traits, her eyes looked somewhat similar to a guy he had once talked to.

”Oh greetings.” He said simply, as he stood outside the kitchen, peering into the room.
Michiko smiled when one of her fellow dorm mates walked into the kitchen. Though a surprised look came upon her face as the boy said she was in the wrong dorm. Also the fact she wasn’t in uniform.

”So says the boy not in uniform….” She said with a small smile and her head tilted to the side ever so slightly. ”Is there a rule that says that only guys can walk around out of their uniform after school? Hardly seems fair doesn’t it? She of course wasn’t a student but she felt she wanted to mess with him a bit. He seemed so proud that he was in the Hero class...it was kinda funny. Seeing how A classes were all Hero classes.

I was moved from 3-A to here just a bit ago. Apparently the principal decided that you guys could use some help from someone with real battle experience outside of school. She smiled sweetly with an ‘as matter of fact’ look on her face. Of course, that was her brother the principal spoke about. While she did have some of her own fights, Takeshi would have been considered a hardened veteran by most standards. She placed the tray in front of Roy and said sweetly. “I’m Yashiro Michiko, It’s a pleasure to meet you Kusayangi-kun.”

She sounded far more mature than she looked. The way she carried herself and how she spoke. She looked to see another boy with six wings, standing at the edge of the kitchen. A surprised look on his face at seeing her. Though he simply said greetings, she smiled and motioned to the table before holding her hands together in front of her skirt. “Hello. Please come on over. I don’t bite….Hard.” She giggled “I baked these cookies for all of you, please feel free to have some.”

Roy smirked when she said he wasn't in uniform either,  she was pretty perceptive. “Caught me red handed” he replied back. She then went on to asking about the rules about uniform teasing the boy. “Alright you win” he said putting his hands up surrendering. She then explained that she was a transfer from 3-1 and that we could use some help from someone with battle experience.

“So you must be pretty good then huh” Roy said, this girl may not have seen like much more than a pretty face but big things come in small packages. He scratched the side of his head where he was kicked. “Well I can't wait to see what you can do then” he said as the girl placed the fresh cookies in front of him. “Thank you for the food” Roy said as he took the cookie, it was warm and fresh. He took a bite and it practically melted in his mouth. The boys eyes opened wide as he unconsciously made his way towards another one but stopped himself by grabbing his arm. “These cookies are really good, Id pay you to make me a bucket full of these” Roy said chewing on the rest of the first cookie.

”For us? How honored...”

If he was invited, why not deny such an honest offer?

As the girl and Roy conversed, Acion simply walked to the table and took a seat, his wings carefully wrapped around him, so as not to accidentally hit Michiko, Roy, or the infrastructures around him. He had learnt to be careful enough, and utilize every gaps so that he could place his wings, so that it wouldn’t cause any possible injuries.

Picking up a cookie from the bowl that Michiko placed on that table, still hot, fresh and crunchy, he took a bite, devouring half of the cookie. Before he realized it, his eyes had widened as wide just as Roy.

”Hmmm!”

The taste. The sweetness. The crunchiness. It was perfectly synched. Nothing was untouched, and nothing was overboard. It was a perfect piece of culinary masterpiece.

”You know. The cookie is not good.” Acion was tempting to take another and another for a bite, but he had to give her this first. He finished the cookie and looked into her. ”It’s fantastic. You are indeed an adept chef...Michiko”

‘...Yashiro.’ Acion finished his sentence mentally.

He had heard that name before.

”...Do you mind if I ask? Are you and Takeshi Yashiro related?”

She chuckled at Roy surrendering, then only tilted her head to the side and shrugged with a smirk when he said she must be really good. She was an adept fighter, but nothing compared to her brothers. She then just said. I have some first hand experience. That's all. It was an understatement, as the way they trained was as if their life depended on it….which for her brothers it truly meant that at times.

She smiled at both of them when they complemented her baking. Though Acion did through her for a scare with his wording at first. She didn’t realize her hand was clenched in a fist till after he added on that it was fantastic.Awww Thank you… I Enjoy baking so much. But I might take you up on that offer Kusayangi-kun She said while shrugging her shoulders with a bright smile.

Acion mentioned her brother and asked if she was related. She looked at him and said,“Don’t need my permission if you ask anyways.” She said with a smile. But she nodded,“Takeshi is my brother. He is here somewhere finding our room.”

She looked at Acion intently, studying his eyes, his facial features. Deep in thought clearly as if she was trying to figure something out, going through the ‘files’ in her head till suddenly she asked. You’re...related to the Sky Defender….Aurelia Nakamiji correct?

”Correct. I’m in your position, her younger brother, Acion Nakamiji. Though she and I have a larger age gap. If you talk about her skills, she is indeed a goddess. But I’m surprised you figured it without knowing my name.”

Well, Aurelia did look similar to Acion in some ways. And by some ways, it was many ways. Many, many ways.

When said so, Acion did not exactly know how old Michiko was, nor Takeshi. But Aurelia was four years older than Acion. She also looked a lot older, more mature, despite her attitude still very much retained her short-temper and seemingly childish manner. Comparing to Michiko and Takeshi, he certainly didn’t look too old, and she also didn’t appear too young as Acion had said, so there was a reason he assumed so.

Acion had taken his time, taking another few minutes consuming a few more cookies slowly, so as to fully enjoy this magical product of hers.

”Well, I shouldn’t be taking other’s share, should I?” Acion said, as he suddenly remembered the task that he had scheduled for himself before he left Quirk Application: going into town to film a footage for his presentation in later weeks. It was still long before due, but it’s better to strike while the iron is still hot.

”Now I have a few errands to run with my new roommate here.” He placed a hand on Roy’s shoulder as he said, bending slightly over to him. ”Do you mind? And whispered lightly.

Roy grabbed another cookie seeing as Acion did so, “We do?” Roy said eating it then taking a deep breathe, after a long day these certainly hit the spot. Roy got up from his chair “Nah I dont mind at all.” Roy got up with Acion, “Your brother is Takeshi, you guys don’t seem all that much alike. He has a much different air around him, and i'll admit his skills are formidable.” the blonde boy said smiling, “Also if you see another blonde boy come through be on your guard, I’ll see you later Michiko. Lets go Acion” Roy said exiting the room grabbing his 3rd and last cookie on the way out.

”Yeah I am good with faces and names… Especially if they are heros or villains.” She looked to Roy ” He is a bit more serious than me. But he’s been through alot as well.” She only nodded when they said they had to go. And nodded again at his warning about a blonde boy.

Michiko looked over to see another boy standing in the doorway, as he turned to leave she waved her hand at him and said, “Hey! Don’t be shy! Come on over here! I made cookies for everyone!”

Kaida Baeumont

Kaida was dozing off when suddenly she heard her named yelled and before she realized it a pink haired girl was ontop of her grabbing her shoulders she didn't catch what she said but the sudden intensity and grabbing of her sparked her fear.

Memories of her father busting through her door suddenly and beating her for something she did or did not do. Her she did not want to be hurt like that again, ever.

Under her clothes her light pink skin suddenly morphed into her hard black/violet scales, her gold eyes suddenly slitted like a reptile. Despite her change the only thing the others might see, as she moved quickly, was her eyes and maaaybe her hands as the scales came to the back of her hands. But it was enough of a change to give her stronger strength to break the pink haired girl's hands free of her shoulders. Push her up and throw her towards the door. Nearly hitting luelle as she did.

The sudden shock of seeing Luelle cleared her mind for a brief moment to realize her father was in prison, and these were just fellow students messing around. She never had this experience before….platung with kids her age. She stood there looking back and forth to luelle and the pink haired girl. A mortified look came upon her face as she realized what she did. Her eyes went back to ‘normal’ and her skin turned back to her pink skinned. Though they would probably not see this.

color=92278f] “I-l-l am sorry….are you ok?” she asked meekly
Her hands gripping her elbows tightly to her sides as she hugged herself. A bright pink shade on her cheeks from the embarrassment of being scared.

Great now they are going to think she is a freak. They were just playing and first thing she does is throw her really hard. She looked around her room… hoping to find something warm to hold on to. Sadly there wasn't.

Haruka had almost managed to get her hopes up when it happened.

Fumi had taken off at practically a dead sprint, and had gotten them away from the front gate. A few nervous glances back had served to confirm that the figure of the boy she'd used to know hadn't come into view, and that Jett didn't seem to have noticed them. If he wasn't following, then that meant that they could get away, right? Her secret would be safe. She could just visit with Fumi for a bit and then leave once it got dark. And, knowing her rather socially awkward friend and sidekick, it wasn't like there'd be anyone else there except whoever she got as a roommate, so then there wouldn't be any problems. Word wouldn't even spread that a short, dark-haired girl had decided to visit. Of course, now that Jett was getting this insistent and she knew he was actually here, she'd have to be sure to tell Fumi not to mention her name to anyone, just to be safe, but that was more of a formality than anything. After all, Fumi seldom talked to anyone, and surely, she wouldn't refuse once Haruka asked her something, so-

A blur suddenly crossed her field of vision, and Haruka had just enough time to let out a cry of surprise before something slammed into her shoulder, then headlong into Fumi with so much force that she wasn't sure she'd have been able to keep her own footing if she'd had both her legs to stand on. So, it was no surprise then that her significantly weaker friend was picked bodily up off her feet by the sudden impact, and didn't even have time to cry out before the wind was knocked out of her lungs. The two of them flew backward, and time seemed to slow to a crawl. Haruka could feel the wind rushing through her hair, but it was no longer the comforting feeling she'd once been so used to. Rather, it was the chilling realization that the both of them were going to slam into the ground and get severely hurt, and that there wasn't even anything she could do to stop it. She felt so powerless, so...

WEAK.

She shut her eyes, and the last thing she saw was the ground rushing up to meet her before-

...Before...

...Before she felt herself colliding with a springy, elastic surface which stretched beneath her, then catapulted her right back to her feet! It was fortunate she'd had her real foot forward, because her prosthetic leg sure as hell couldn't have supported her full weight so suddenly. Landing in a kneeling crouch, she staggered upright, and turned around to see...

"Oi, what the hell?! What, are you blind or something?" Asuka yelled, rushing up just in time to catch the confused Fumika as she was launched back to her feet by a long band of elastic that had suddenly appeared, pulling itself taut between a nearby light pole and one of the support pillars of the school's outer wall. As the younger Motome rose, her eyes seemed to flash with light, the end of her formerly orderly braid puffing wildly outward. She scowled at the tall girl who'd just come crashing headlong into them, but took a moment to return the elastic band she'd pulled from her hair on instinct to its proper place. It was fortunate that she'd been quick enough to Trace something to catch them... Not that they'd ever thank her for it.

"Seriously, crashing into my sister like that... You're lucky I was here, or you might have seriously hurt her! Next time, watch where you're going, idiot!" Shooting this final angry remark at the unidentified sprinter, she glanced back to her rather dazed sister.

"Sis, are you alright? You're not injured or anything?" Fumika nodded slightly, but stood up without saying a word, dusting herself off. Asuka bit her lip. Really? No, this was to be expected of her stubborn, proud sister. Of course she wouldn't bother addressing someone she hated, no matter what. She couldn't even bring herself to say than-

"Thank you," Fumika said quietly, giving a slight bow to Asuka before trotting over to where Harukaze was still trying to stand up despite her artificial leg's creaking protest. She reached out a hand, and the much shorter raven-haired girl took it after only a moment of stubborn hesitation. "Are you okay, Haruka?" Fumika asked, her voice filled with concern. Harukaze shot back a grin which Asuka's dense sister didn't seem to realize looked awfully forced, and simply nodded. "I'm fine. She only grazed me, is all. You know, it'd take a lot more than a little tumble to hurt me."

"Ooh, right," Fumika said, nodding enthusiastically. "You're so cool, Haruka!"

Asuka's eyebrow shot straight up at this statement. What the hell was this? Fumika had always, always acted as if she was better than everyone else. She never spoke to anyone, and just watched them, looked down on them. So then... why the hell was she acting like a little kid trying to get an autograph from her favorite celebrity? Just what was with these two weirdos and their bizarre friendship? And more importantly...

"Not to interrupt or anything," Asuka interjected snidely. "But... uh... Why exactly were we running in the first place?"

Fumika and Haruka exchanged an infuriatingly knowing glance, and then Fumika simply shook her head very sternly in response.

"Secret," she said.

Ah, yes, that was much more like it. That was the infuriating older sister she was familiar with.

Roy Kusayanagi
Acion Nakamiji

”Well, if you’re here with him, then I’m pretty sure our path will cross again. I’ll see you later.” He gave a light smile as he left the room with Roy.

Michiko simply waved goodbye to Acion and Roy as they left and looked back to Donny with a big inviting smile.

Wow…

He wondered how that went. He had tried his best to keep the flowery words out of his speech. It surely was not as hard, but sometimes, the phrase just slipped out of his mouth almost instinctively.

But then he wondered...does everyone do not like such speech? Or was it something else that displeased people? From Mina, to Dulga. Even Kaida at the time they met wasn’t acting well either.

Acion shook his head.

’Now’s not the time for that.’ He thought.

Looking to Roy, who had been accepting to do him the favor without really knowing what was up, he would have to explain this to him.

”You are probably wondering about it. Well, there is a certain presentation for my elective, Quirk Application, that requires a video footage or images of me using quirks in real life. Basically evidence. And since that is quite a hassle to do by myself. So if you would mind...” Acion took out his iPhone, as a hint. ”...filming, or taking pictures of me.”

Roy looked at the boy as he explained why he needed his help, “If that's all sure why not, but do you have exactly what in mind you can do using your quirk in real life?” Roy asked questioning the boy. Maybe he could grab a balloon for a boy or get a kitten out of a tree? “What do you think would show the best use of your quirk is what I am trying to ask” he asked as he began eating the cookie in his hand before it got cold. “An assignment like that on the first day? Your teacher must hate you” Roy said chuckling. “Well if we go into the city we will find something, lead the way Acion” he said. “You want me to use it with your phone?” The boy asked

”Well, I actually have a thing. There’s a treeline, very tall and bushy, down the Waterfront Street. I saw a lot of workers there to cut the branches with trucks to carry them up high. So that will probably do.”

And then Roy asked if he wanted to use the phone. Well, if he exerted a little of his expense, he could afford a small but high definition camera. Though at the cost of that, he would be spending a month or two eating Ramen noodle for meals. So probably not.

”I think the phone is fine. Mediocre enough. I was gonna fly you there, but I figured you would want to exercise.” Acion said, as he glanced Roy and his suit up and down. ”Well, I would love a proper hike. Necessary exercise for what my preordained path to professional heroism. Let’s go, shall we?”

The street down Waterfront wasn’t in its full glory, but one could feel the hastiness and rushing of the upcoming hours, as a few individuals with their shifts ended early were coming down the streets for their personal commutes, while the blazing sun continued to illuminate Hosu for the remainder of the day, as its shift was also about to come to a close.

”Here we are...a good hike wasn’t it? Now we should find those people. They’re almost always here, so we will almost definitely encounter one if we comb this street.”

Roy smirked as Acion bashed his phone, “Sorry i'm not part of a famous and wealthy family” he then proposed the two of them jog. Roy stretched his limbs as he nodded in agreement, the two made their way over by the waterfront jogging. Over time and exposure to the sun Roy absorbed some solar energy and also worked up a light sweat, the two ran some distance, enough to work up a light sweat with the sun beating down on them. As they stopped Roy took deep breaths to slow his heart rate back to normal. “Searching for workers huh, shouldn’t be too hard, we just have to look for trucks and construction gear” Roy said and he held his head above his head to block the sun and look around.

“I am gonna look up the street, we should swap numbers and text each other if something happens” Roy said as he handed Acion his phone to put his number. The boy then made his way up the street disappearing into the crowd.of people coming.

”That’s a good idea.” Acion said, as he handed him his phone, while taking his to add in the number.

Damn…

Roy was still using the old schooled Android phone? That thing was like, ten years old already.

He did have to spend a few moments of hesitation and scratching his head, figuring out the keypad. But eventually, he was able to get it out and done. The touchpad was still great, so he didn’t have much problem except for the navigation part.

”There we have it. Keep me contact. After this, if you require anything, just send me a message.”

As they both arrived in the middle part of the street, Acion and Roy parted ways, with the winged boy taking the left part of the street, while the blonde taking the other way.

His route was quite short, shorter than he would expect, as the road ended at the riverbank, with a port buzzing with people and workers coming; ships and ports demonstrated their dominance in the landscape, and served as a reminder of the recent Industrial and Technological Revolution. But because of that, there were many alleyways, and the treelines came to an end early, as the trees couldn’t be placed there. And to his disappointment, there weren’t any tree cutting trucks or anyone looking like they were working as tree cutters.

”Better head back…”

Just as he was about to do what he said he would do, a sudden, and seemingly terrified shout caught into his ears. The sound was small, and desperate to reach out to any possible passerby that actually took the attention and inconvenience to check it out.

’What the hell is happening in there?’ Acion thought to himself, as he traced the origin of the sound.

It was among an alleyway. There wasn’t anything within sight, so it might be deeper within it.

Acion decided to stop his current course of action to check out what was happening. And there, the image edging deep into his fovea, was the sight of a dark haired man, wearing some sort of mask that covered most of his lower faces, his hand holding a stone club, as he cornered a middle schooler, who carried the misfortune of encountering him in this shortcut.

“What a little pipsqueak. You think you can get away with a funny look at my little brother, don’t you? Kids like you do not have the privilege to wear that uniform of that school. That is the school for quirk-sensitives! You are not!”

“B-But-”

“Do I make myself clear?!” He slammed the club into the wall, cracking it. “Kids like you should not even exist in this world. Doing nothing but consuming your pathetic food, and doing your pathetic works. Utterly useless! In this world, without quirks, you are nothing. Nothing but trash! And you know, trash shouldn’t linger with us humans…”

The guy finished as he slowly approached the student, his hand clenched tightly into his stone club. Just as he was about to smash the head of the middle schooler into a splattered little mess, Acion approached him, with countenance so disgusted,an image of him slashing this guy into tiny little pieces briefly flashed through his head. He dismissed that thought eventually, but still, after having it enough throughout his wicked speech, the winged boy quickly took out the phone in his pocket and quickly composed a text message to Roy.

‘Call the cops. There’s trouble. In the alleyway next to the port.”

The text was made hastily, with sentences not very complete, but it would be enough so that he could get the message. After he was done, the winged boy slowly approached him

”Enough of this.” He spoke, grabbing the attention of both the attacker and the victim.

“Watch it pal. What’s your problem? This is my business!” He retaliated.

”I’m not your pal. And I should be the one asking that question. Who do you think you are to dictate one’s life path like that? You call them trash? Trust me, you are mistaken. That’s your slot.”

“And who do you think you are to stop me?!”

Acion sighed heavily.

’Such a puny little rat.’

”I guess I will have to show you how to behave. Just like the dog you are.” Acion said, his voice stern and harsh, as his six wings began to spread out, in all directions. Just like in previous combat scenarios, this was challenge. And all according to his expectation, the guy got that very well. Or pretty badly, for him

“You challenge me?! You think you got what it takes?...” The masked boy also spread his two hands, and as if according to his command, the stone from the cracked wall and the club were liquified, only to form back in his palm as weapons. And in his case, a certain kind of weapon known as the glaive

“Impressed yet? Just wait until I chop all your wings off, and cut you into tiny little pieces.”

The guy taunted Acion, but the only reply he would receive, was a low, barely audible, condescending laugh from the winged boy, as he stared at him intensely

”I just need two moves. To teach you a lesson you won’t forget!”

For a moment, there was only silence, as the words that soaked with threats echoed into the blowing winds, as Acion stood firmly on the ground, straight, undaunted and intense, letting the power of his words to carve into his mind.

And then suddenly, Acion crouched down on one knee, as his hand positioned similarly to a runner’s position. A combination of his two legs and his six wings had ensured him a massive throttle, as he charged at the boy at an incredible velocity. But as Acion was a bit far away, the boy was given enough time to prepare. For a seemingly obvious move, which never came.

As the boy’s weapon was short-ranged, and that Acion was moving at incredible high speed, his only option was to hold the weapon right in front of him, and predict where his attack would land. But as Acion got closer, his body suddenly turned. He slammed his foot on the ground, combining with the might of some of his wings, throttled him up a few meters into the air, his body turning sideways as he flew above his enemy. During that short moment above his adversary, he executed his iconic move, the ‘1000 feather flaps’, sending razor sharp feathers crashing down upon the man. Sharp feathers made contact with his skin, blood began to spill from his veins where it met.

Sent head-over-heels by the earth-cracking attack, the boy instinctively let go of the weapon to clutch his injuries. And as he was doing so, Acion had already recovered from his previous move, landing gracefully behind the guy, as he then proceeded to execute another one. While the guy was still not in his senses, Acion closed his distance with him from behind, grabbing him by the waist and shoulder for padding, as he proceeded to boost himself up, his body turned, his two legs clutched tightly into his neck like a scissor, toppling him off balance. With his central of gravity shifted off him, Acion then slammed his head into the concrete ground using his leg power. Acion also fell from his own attack, but his fall was an active fall, easy to get up, and easy to recover. On the other hand, the man couldn’t. He laid flatly on the ground where his colossal body met the hard concrete, still breathing, but motionless.

”Hmmph. Acion scoffed as he stood up. ”Such a shame. You have such a powerful quirk and you use it for villainy. And thus is your fate.”

May he rot in his own delusional reality.

After finishing with this guy, Acion turned to look at the middle schooler, who was watching the whole fight on the sideline. His expression no longer held fear or terror. Instead, he was just as excited like a kid in a candy store.

“Mister. That was so cool!”

Acion’s mood was lifted by the day.

”Heh. I wonder...” He chuckled ”Still, I want to know why you are in a place like this? It’s not safe for middle schoolers, you know.”

“I-I…” He whimpered a little at that. “I wanted to take a shortcut home...to avoid my friends at school.”

Acion’s attitude changed swiftly, to confusion. ”Why avoid them?...” But then the confusion turned to understanding. ”Was it because you are quirkless?”

The middle schooler inclined his head lightly, and shamefully, his fear returned, fearing that Acion would also look at him the same way as people did. But contrary to his expectation, the winged boy simply laughed, genuinely and heartily, harboring no ill-intentions.

”Then do you want to be a hero?”

“Yes I do, mister! I want to become a strong hero to protect everyone!” His fear dissolved, replaced by simple and pure determination.

”Then you’re on your way.” He said kindly.

“But how can I do that if I don’t have a quirk?”

”You don’t need a quirk.” Acion said in a fatherly tone, encouraging and kind. ”Have you ever heard of Alfa, a professional hero in the Sky Knight group. He is also quirkless, using only his jet sword to fight. There are living proof of professional heroes out there who don’t need a quirk to fight villainy and help other people. And if you try your best, you can be the next in line.”

“But what if I have tried my best, but cannot become a pro?”

”God does not tremble on those with pure minds like you.” He said. ”Once you got your heads right, your path will reveal itself. And once you realize your destiny, it is only a matter of preparations, and time.”

“Then will I succeed?”

Acion gave one big smile, one rarely seen before by him. ”Yes you will.”

“Then I will try my best to become strong! So that I can protect everyone, just like how you did to me!”

The winged boy laughed again, as he gently patted the head of the middle schooler. To him, seeing people doing things with a cause, with a reason, and with a proper and pure-hearted motivation just like this little kid was the best. That’s the reason why he loved small kids. Their path, their goals were so pure, naive but pure, and clear. In their world, there’s only black and white, unplagued by the wickedness of reality. Only a few could carry on that determination to adulthood.

But all of a sudden, all that cheerfulness, all that smile on his face vanished in an instant, replaced by the same terror that Acion had seen earlier, as his eyes stared, not at the winged boy, but at the person behind him.

“Mister! Look out!!!”

And the middle schooler jumped right in front of the winged boy. Still confused over the sudden course of action, Acion soon realized...that the man was still conscious.

And he had a gun in his hand…

He couldn’t remember what happened afterwards.

He wasn’t sure. But before he realized it, his face was splattered with blood. The three left wings were also stained. The same could be said for his fist.

And he was on top of the masked man, pinning him on the ground. His fists preparing to crash onto his face one more time.

Right behind him, was the middle schooler, lying in a pool of his own blood coming from his arm. Not dead, but barely keeping himself either

He was shot…

Because of Acion’s carelessness.

Dulga Tarata

Walking back to the dorms was uneventful for Dulga. She garnered only a few stares, hearing curious whispers about a tall school girl wearing a cloak. Little did they know that the cloak was the "normal" part of her usual attire, and the uniform is only something she has to wear due to school rules. Upon reaching the dorms she could see that there were many students milling about, mostly around the kitchen. Going to the notice board she could see that her dorm mate would be Kaida. Dulga had hoped it would've been Mina, but Kaida was a good choice too. She didn't seem like a bad person, though Dulga's face did grow a bit grim. "I bet she's angry at me. I need to talk to her." Dulga continued towards the dorm and noticed that it was open. As she approached she heard Kaida scream and ran inside, ready to bash the interloper.

What Dulga saw however just made her annoyed instead of angry. There wasn't really a puzzle to solve; she could see that Mamoru was here with Luelle, who was dressed up in a rather ridiculously cute outfit. Kaida was still in her uniform but looked surprised. So Dulga could guess that Mamoru, being the type of girl she is, had played dress up with Luelle and tried to get Kaida to join them. But being who she was Kaida didn't want to. And Mamoru being who she is didn't take no as an answer. So for her troubles Mamoru got tossed. Face palming Dulga walked into the room and dropped off her several gun cases onto her bed before turning to Kaida. She looked like a cornered animal. Moving to her Dulga hid the poor girl in her cloak, hugging her close with her six arms. Then Dulga turned to face Mamoru and Luelle. "I apologize for this but could you give us some privacy? We need a moment."

"Um sure" Luelle said sweating dropping a little. She felt for Kaida, she really did, but she wouldn't change her roommate for anyone else. She needed someone like Mamoru in her life, to make her smile and laugh. She looked at the female, who she had met earlier in the day and she gave a small smile. "It was nice seeing you again Dulga. Luelle said shyly to the taller female.

Dragging her roommate back out of the room, she calmly shut the door behind her to give the two some privacy. She looked towards her and smiled a little. "How about we go somewhere else to show off my outfit and come back later? Let them get settled in" She said grabbing her hand gently. She began to pull her away from the door, ignoring the stares they were getting from the other students who had seen the commotion and the whispers about her cat outfit.

Yashiro, Takeshi

Takeshi felt the heat, though he didn’t show it. His father had made sure was used to intense temperature fluctuations. Partly because of the side effect of his quirk, and partly to condition him for his endurance to different types of quirks. That said, he still started to sweat a little. Nothing could stop that.

He found it odd that the teacher immediately assumed he was up to no good...when the male dorms were on this level. He only raised any eyebrow as he thought the very image of him carrying his and his sisters luggage, along with their swords on his back would be clear for his reasoning on being on the second floor.

Nevertheless the woman recognized him as she should, being the den mother. He simply nodded. “Yes ma’am. I just need to know which room because the principle did not tell me that when he told me only an hour or so ago. He said respectfully, though he did not move as he was carrying this baggage. He hoped he was somewhere in the corner of the floor. He would rather not have his sister have to trek through a gantlet of teenage boys with Raging hormones just to go to the bathroom to take a shower.

He knew Michiko would love her as a den mother. She was constantly cold due to her quirk. Being in this dorm where it would be constantly hot was a good fit for her. But he did not say anything for the moment. As he heard a scream and a loud thud on the floor above them. He wasn’t too worried as he heard playful yelling beforehand. It would seem the ones who are being mischievous are the girl, i’m sure you would want to check on that, so which way is my room?

Mamoru could swear her quirk wasn't teleportation. And if it was, she had a very, very poor control over it, because she ended up upside down on the floor. So either Mamoru discovered more of her quirk, or this Kaida girl was much stronger than she realized. She supposed this made sense, Luelle did say that Kaida was super strong. They fought and defeated a villain after all! A goofy, upside down grin appeared on Mamoru's face as she cheered from her awkward position. "That was wicked! I didn't know you were that strong Kaida! Wow! I'm sorry for underestimating you, I forgot that you fought a bad guy too!" As Mamoru tumbled upright Dulga entered the room carrying a bunch of big bags. Mamoru was initially curious but Dulga had immediately gone to cover up Kaida and asked for them to leave. Luelle dragged Mamoru out form the dorm as the pinkette pouted. She wanted to play with Kaida and Dulga!

That being said Mamoru knew that the two girls may need some alone time, so Mamoru wouldn't pester them any further. For now. Getting back to her feet she looked to Luelle with a look in her eye. "Yeah totes! Eyes on the prize right Lulu? To the living room! Let em get an eyeful of ya!" Mamoru laced her fingers around Luelle's as the two walked down to the lobby area. There was a few students around, including a few at the kitchen, so Mamoru striked a pose and pointed at the closest student she saw. Which was just Luelle. "Btoom! Heart Throb! When you see someone come through here, let's pounce em!"

Donny froze when he heard the voice call out to him. Apparently she made cookies for everyone. Donny stuttered to start, trying to say that he was fine and that he was just going to head back to his room. But the smell of those cookies... Donny was a weak man fueled by passion and base instincts. And when he smells something good, he has to go to it. Walking into the kitchen with all his groceries Donny meekly bowed his head to the girl there. He's never seen her before. "U-U-U-U-Um... H-Hiya. Th-Th-Th-Thanks for the c-c-c-c-cookies... I-I-I-I'm D-Donny." Donny said as he helped himself to one of the cookies. Then another. Then three. By the time he was stuffing three cookies into his mouth he realized what he was doing and quickly walked to a different part of the kitchen and tried to play it cool. He was doing poorly.

The guy was practically sweating bullet, except instead of sweat it was bits of black ooze which he had to actively remember to absorb back into his skin, less he blow his cover. Trying his best not to freak out Donny just started pulling pots and pans out and tried to get to cooking. "R-R-R-R-Right, was gunna m-m-make something. W-W-W-What was it again um... C-Cake and uh.... S-Steak? Beef bowl! Right. B-Beef bowl..." Donny went to wash some dishes and prep for his dinner. His movements, unlike his general demeanor and voice, was smooth and robotic. Well practiced. He could mess up a lot of things, but cooking wasn't one of them. Once his tools and utensils were ready he took a small knife and started to prep his discount beef sirloin. He sliced into them, but not completely. He needed to cut into the meat in order for the oils to spread, but not so much that he'd tear the meat apart. He'd make a grid pattern onto each of the sirloin steaks, and that's when he brought out the hammer to tenderize them. However his technique wasn't big wopping bangs as one would expect with a hammer, but short repeated strikes as if he was a jackhammer. This got the steaks nice and tender.

Haruka Sanegeyama
&
Yukari Yozakura

Haruka was pleasantly surprised by White Hat’s opinions of her submission. She didn’t think he would have eviscerated her or anything, but such praise coming from a legitimate professional hero felt nice. That last little bit of motivation to push herself into being more heroic in her own right resonated with her, and she took that firmly to heart. That was why she was here, after all.

Class ended, and she got up to leave and head back to the dorms. Once more, she followed directions hastily scribbled onto the piece of paper she’d been using as a guide all day, thinking about how the space situation would work out. Among her other belongings being delivered, she’d requested that her prototype suit be sent as well. It wasn’t much of a problem to store in her own room, since she didn’t mind having what amounted to a hollow robot stowed in the corner, but she had a roommate to worry about here.

”Shit,” Haruka thought. ”I’ve never had a roommate before. I don’t think I’ve even met them. Oh god. Don’t do anything weird.” She hoped to god whoever she would be staying with didn’t find her collection of weird nerd things to be too much of a downside, but now it was nagging at her the whole way to the dorms.

When she finally reached the dorm she’d be staying in, her paper had been firmly ruined by a vice grip she’d given it, anxiety manifesting physically in the form of a tightly clenched fist. ”Don’t be in there, please. Maybe if I got here first I can just shove some boxes under the bed or something. Oh god, here we go.” Hesitantly, she took the doorknob and opened it, stepping in with her eyes tightly shut.

Upon opening them, she saw her side of the dorm room with a collection of boxes stacked upon and around her bed. One of them was a very tall, vertically stood box, surely containing her costume. She was grateful it had been delivered, but at the same time, felt kind of awful for the person who had to heft the thing in. Haruka never even considered trying to move and store it in such a way. She’d get in and walk it where it needed to be, or otherwise use her Quirk to make it walk around itself. Unless another technopath had been the deliveryman, she doubted they’d had an easy time.

She removed her backpack and got to work fiddling with the boxes, opening them to confirm their contents before scooting them away or relegating them to imprisonment beneath her mattress. The big one remained in place for now, since she could deal with that once her other things had been sorted.

Yukari would slowly make it back to her dorm, taking her time to reach it while enjoying the walk itself. While she thought that Mako was being rather deceiving, she had to admit that perhaps the true lesson today wasn’t trying to act like a villain, but to think like one. It was a slippy slope to be sure, one that everyone was far too quick to jump on. Even Yukari, in her confusion, participated in the villainy after throwing one of the other students at Mako. Fortunately she failed her attack and avoided trouble, if only narrowly. ”I gotta start using my head! Stuff like this is why I’ve had such an embarrassing time so far.”

Once at the dorms Yukari could smell the sweet scent of cookies in the air. It was tempting, but she needed to go back to her dorm and drop off her school supplies. Of course, Yukari didn’t have much to her name. She had some clothes generously donated to her, as well as a few basic necessities like feminine products and such, but unlike other students Yukari didn’t have much in terms of decor or personal belongings. She didn’t even have a cellphone. So she imagined that her time unpacking wouldn’t take long. Fortunately Yukari had been informed of her dorm room number prior to its posting, so she didn’t need anyone to tell her which one it was at. She dorm was labeled with a number, both written and in braille. Once Yukari found her door she slipped her keycard through and entered.

From the sounds of it, her roommate was already here. Soft, yet hefty breathing told Yukari that this was a girl of some girth. Not quite athletics, but not truly big either. Someone on the curvy side. She could hear the faint sound of electricity that didn’t come from just the lights, so this girl must have a computer or other similar electronics. Yukari also smelled rubber, plastic, and some sort of metal she’s never smelled before. She was certain that her roommate must be some sort of techhead. This made the blind girl smile. Technology was an amazing thing. ”Hello! I am Yukari Yozakura. I’ll be your roommate for this semester. Um… Please take care of me.” Yukari said with a bow as she held her cane in her hands.

Getting so absorbed into shoving her belongings into a place of secrecy left Haruka unprepared to hear a voice behind her. She yelped in surprise and spun around quickly, proceeding to lose her balance and fall over in one deft, yet incredibly ungraceful movement. She held herself up with one arm while the other hastily pushed an open box of action figures out of sight, but seeing the cane brought her out of the sudden panic before it got too far. ”O-oh, uh,” Haruka started, pausing for a moment. Yukari, was it? She’d try to remember that. ”H-hey, I, uh, I’m Haruka. Haruka Sanegeyama.” A wave accompanied her greeting for a few seconds before she realized it probably wasn’t going to add anything to it, so she put her hand back down and pulled herself from the floor, her face flushed a fiery red with embarrassment.

She was silent for a few moments, taking all this in, and figured there wasn’t quite as much of a reason for her ongoing panic as she thought there would be. ”S-so, uh, I guess we’re gonna be hanging out, like, a lot, yeah?” A hand nervously rubbed at the back of her head, staying there for a few minutes as her fingers nervously fidgeted with the tie holding her hair back. ”Okay, this isn’t so bad. Calm down. It’s gonna be fine,” she thought, repeating the last bit a few times in her head to try and steady her heartbeat.

”Hakura Sanegeyama, yes? That’s a lovely name! It’s a pleasure to meet you. I hope we have lots of fun together!” Yukari pumped her fists and seemed quiet eager. Tapping her cane in front of her Yukari went to what she presumed to be her belongings, which were small enough to fit into a single box. Sure enough all she had was a couple outfits that wasn’t her school uniform, plus a pillow, blanket, and personal products. It took Yukari about five minutes to put them all away before she dropped her bag at the foot of her bed and laid down on the soft and comfy mattress.

”Ah… After a long day like this, you know what’ll be nice?”

”N-nice to meet you too,” Haruka said, starting to calm down a little more. She moved a box on her bed aside so she could sit, thinking about how much she’d need to unpack. Her computer was somewhere among the mess, as were various other electronics she’d put together, but unpacking them all would take a while. For now, she decided to put it off, since Yukari was talking to her. ”What would?” She asked.

”A bath!”

Shortly after, Yukari and Haruka would find themselves at the dorm’s bath house, girl’s only. There was private baths, showers, and a public hot tub too. Yukari seemed to have no issues dressing down to absolutely nothing as she washed up, squealing cutely when she turned the shower on and got blasted with cold water. ”Kya! Too cold! Too cold!” Yukari fumbled around with the faucet trying to make the water warm, but the cold water and her own blindness made that difficult.

Haruka was less inclined to be seen without some form of coverage, and in an effort to keep herself from actually dying of embarrassment, she had put on a full-body swimsuit, and a pair of trunks above that for good measure. Even that left her feeling too exposed for her own good, though. She stood in one of the shower stalls, her hair being blasted into water-soaked flatness by a faucet. It was quite a sight, seeing someone so obviously trying not to look completely miserable.

”Y-you good?” She asked Yukari, raising her voice just a little so she could be heard past the faucets.

”S-S-S-So cold!” Yukari braved the icy water and managed to find the right faucet to the the water warm. The water then turned into a scalding hot as she over shot, and Yukari’s screams were a bit different. “Hot hot hot hot!” Yukari was obviously having difficulties, as Hakura could see. ”A little help!”

”Ah, I see. So this is how I die, Haruka thought to herself, closing her eyes as she took a deep breath. ”Hold on.” Stepping out of her own stall, she moved over to Yukari’s, keeping her eyes shut as she stepped in. A bit of hot water hit her on the leg, which caused her to yelp and recoil. ”Shit!” She cursed, eyes opening reflexively so she could see where she was. Almost immediately, her head snapped to the right, her vision locking on the stall’s wall as she scooted around the faucet and grabbed the hot water’s knob. A good twist to about the middle helped keep the water from being skin-meltingly hot, and she stuck a hand into the cone of water to test the temperature until it was comfortable. ”O-okay, how’s that?

Yukari couldn’t help but to rub the parts of her body that was both scalded and chilled, which was mostly her legs. Rubbing herself down made the sensation lessen as Haruka was so kind as to make the temperature more pleasant. It was still hot, but not so blazingly that Yukari couldn’t handle it once she let her body adjust. Turning towards Haruka’s direction Yukari gave the girl a big smile. ”Thank you! After we wash up a bit, let’s move into the baths!” Yukari said with glee as she wasted no time lathering her lithe, thin body with body wash, covering herself in soap. Again, she showed no shame in doing this in front of Haruka. She actually wasn’t aware if Haruka was still there or not and had simply assumed her voice would reach her.

Both to preserve Yukari’s decency and prevent herself from going into severe cardiac arrest, Haruka made sure to keep her line of vision away from anywhere below Yukari’s neck. ”S-sure,” She answered, giving her a futile thumbs up that dropped almost as soon as it had been given. As quickly as she could manage, she returned to her own stall and closed it, taking a deep breath as she allowed her neck to return to a natural angle so she could wash her hair. ”Whoever invented public baths is a sadist and I hate them,” She thought, rinsing suds off her face.

It wasn’t long before Yukari was finished bathing and sitting in the tub. Fortunately for Haruka, the tub’s water was rather murky thanks to the herbal soap that had been put inside of it, hiding Yukari’s features. She had a look of utter bliss as she let her entire body soak in the water. Only her face was above the surface and even that had a nice cool towel on her forehead to give Yukari the pleasant sensation of both warmth and chill. ”Come in Haruka! The water is fine~”

Leaving the stall, her half-dead expression still plastered on her face, Haruka looked towards the large tub. The unclear water was a relief, and she felt much less inclined to move on to the next world upon seeing that. ”Coming,” She answered, plodding over to the tub and taking a seat opposite of where Yukari was. It felt nice, and the scent of herbs was very pleasant to take in. Leaning back to rest, she let out a deep breath and finally relaxed. ”Okay, maybe they’re not as sadistic as I thought. This is pretty great, actually.”

For a while, Yukari said nothing as she soaked in the tub. In fact there was a few times she seemed to have been snoring, as the temptation of falling asleep under such comforting conditions was almost too much for the performer. But she managed to fight off the temptation long enough for Yukari to shift positions to look in Haruka’s general direction. ”Mhmm. Haruka, you do realize I’m blind right?” Yukari said as she tilted her head to the side, causing the towel on her head to fall into the water.

”Huh? Oh, uh, yeah. I picked up on that pretty quickly,” She answered. ”The, uh, the cane, y’know?

”Mhmm! That’s good. Kind of an elephant in the room sometimes, you know?” Yukari said as she dunked her head into the water before rising up a second later. She grabbed her hair and started to run her fingers through the long locks. ”So… As you could imagine, I’m pretty good with my other senses. Hearing, smell, that sort of thing. And I couldn’t help but notice that you’re wearing a swimsuit into the baths.” Yukari had heard an odd amount of squeeking, very similar to thighs rubbing against a full-body swimsuit. Yukari was completely naked and only Haruka was here, so logic dictates that Haruka was wearing a swimsuit.

”Since you know I’m blind and I can’t see you, why are you wearing a swimsuit? Boys aren’t allowed here and most of the girls are out I think. Are you worried I’d judge you?” Yukari said with a curious tilt. It was something that comes up a lot more than Yukari expects. She simply notices that people seem much more self conscious about themselves around her, and she wasn’t sure why. Surely they couldn’t think that she somehow saw something about them beyond their visual appearance? She’s blind, not a psychic. She couldn’t see into their thoughts or anything.

At first, Haruka answered with a simple nod and hummed noise of acknowledgement. It hadn’t been hard to put two and two together regarding the cane. Yukari didn’t seem to be limping, and that back-and-forth swaying motion was a very sure sign of using it to navigate the environment. Haruka wasn’t familiar with all the ins and outs of physical disabilities, but she knew that much, at least. She continued to rest, content to remain quiet for a bit, but another thing came up. Opening her eyes, she listened and peeked down at herself at the mention of the swimsuit.

”O-oh, uh, well, n-no, it’s not you specifically, I just, uh…” Haruka paused, trying to think of how to word her explanation. Severe anxiety was pretty damn rough, but not something she was completely comfortable letting out to someone she’d pretty much just met. Not that Yukari wasn’t nice, of course, she’d been absolutely lovely so far. Without getting too into it, she decided a bit of basic explanation wouldn’t be too much to give. ”I’ve, uh, I’ve got a really, really bad issue. W-with, uh, anxiety, and like, sometimes it makes me get r-really sad, but usually I’m, uh, worried. About, about everything,” She took a minute to close her eyes and take a deep inhale. ”Little stuff helps keep me more stable, and, and I guess this is one of those little things. It makes me feel...less vulnerable, if, if that make ssense.”

”Hmm… Yup! That makes sense actually.” Yukari played with her hair like little brushes stroking the water, slapping the surface as if they were her hands. She seemed to enjoy playing in the water, more so when it was nice and warm like this. ”Hmm…. You know Haruka…. I think I should be the one who’s sorry. I guess I’m just too used to being seen and not seeing others. Funny right? Usually you don’t know what you had until you lost it. In my case, I don’t know what I had all until it’s explained to me!” Yukari was trying to make a joke to lighten the mood, as well as maintain a chipper attitude even if she did feel a bit bad.

”Ah, I guess what I’m trying to say is um… Sorry if I seemed too… Forward? Thoughtless? I um… I guess I’m just so used to this, I kinda expected you do too… Not that there’s anything wrong with it it’s just I forgot and you’re not like me and um… How do I put this…” Yukari started to single further and further into the water until only her hair could be seen floating on the surface. Now she was the one who seemed flustered and embarrassed.

”O-oh, no, no, it’s okay,” Haruka responded, taking on an attempted reassuring tone despite the bit of stuttering in her voice. ”It’s not like you could’ve known about, uh, my issues, and stuff. It’s, like, not really something that shows, anyway, u-unless it starts to get really bad.” She hoped the explanation was satisfactory, but she was second-guessing some of her choice in words all the same. ”I mean, unless someone could...I dunno, read my mind, I guess? Oh god, I hope nobody in this school is a mind reader.”

As harrowing as that thought was, it passed pretty quickly, and she adjusted her seating in the tub, taking a moment to go under before she came back up, her face warmed up by the water. Settling back in, a bit of curiosity struck her. ”So, uh, what’s your Quirk, anyway?” She hoped to god it wasn’t mind reading.

Poking her head over the water Yukari mulled on Haruka’s thoughts. On one hand, she definitely wasn’t all that convincing. But Haruka was trying her best. So Yukari put her best smile back on and sat up in the tub. WHen she asked what Yukari’s quirk was she showed it off but stretching her body up and out of the tub, even holding her hand to her mouth and blowing it up like a balloon. ”I’m super stretchy! My body is like rubber so I can extend it, fold it, or even make it bigger. Heh… Wanna see a little trick?”

As Yukari stood and showed off her Quirk, Haruka’s face went red in the few moments of exposure before she suddenly became very rotund. That was kind of bizarre to see, as many physicality-based Quirks were. Seeing a human body change in that way was more than a little unnerving, but the stretchiness explanation made sense. Haruka had read some comics in the past with fictional heroes that could do similar things, but seeing it on paper was quite different from witnessing it firsthand.

”What kind of trick?” Haruka asked, curious as to what exactly that would entail.

Yukari made a mischievous chuckle as she went back into the water. Bubbles rose up around her hair before Yukari’s head poked out from the water’s surface. ”Get ready for a heartstopper.” Slowly Yukari stood up, and in front of her chest… On her chest was something that wasn’t there before. It was big. It was round. It was unbelievable. But thanks to Yukari’s quirk, she could easily grow any part of her body and morph it into nearly any shape or form she wanted. ”Hehe… Hold your applause, please, because this is just the beginning!”

Haruka was curious, and the very circus-esque announcements amused her. At the sight of what Yukari had turned her body into, she was quite surprised, an expression of some shock coming to her face. She had imagined many things could be done with body-stretching powers, but somehow, something like this had never come to mind. ”O-oh, geez, how much further can this go?”

”Heh, this is just the tip of the iceberg!” Yukari made it bigger, more amazing, almost grotesquely so for someone of such a small frame. However this wasn’t anything unusual to the performer and she has done this plenty of times. Yukari has had satisfied customers each time. As it got more intense the space between Yukari and Haruka shorten until eventually Yukari just had to pop the question. ”Would you like to touch? See how they feel? I promise you… It’s all me~”

Haruka was hesitant, but the offer was greatly intriguing. She was curious as to what they felt like, especially after being upsized to such a degree. ”U-uh, okay, sure,” She answered, lifting a hand out of the water. It was still for a moment, but slowly moved forward and took hold of what Yukari offered her, giving a testing squeeze to see if it still felt natural.

It was certainly natural, and even made Yukari blush. ”Oh my, you’re so gentle Haruka!” Yukari’s soft, tender meat was squished in between Haruka’s hands. Admittedly they did feel very squishy, but the more Haruka squeezed they’d start to feel more firm. ”Heh heh, that tickles~” Yukari said playfully as she inched closer and closer to Haruka. Before she’d know it, her entire body would be engulfed by Yukari. ”Surprise!” What Haruka would feel would be the softest, warmest hug she may ever feel as Yukari was wrapped around Haruka’s body, like a hotdog between two warm buns.

Being fully surrounded in such a way felt strange, but not wholly unpleasant. It was very surprising though, as evidenced when Haruka let out another one of her wordless yelps upon being grabbed. ”H-hey, woah, p-personal space!” She said jokingly, unable to stop a giggle from slipping out at the end. While she was being held, she wiggled around a little, freeing her arms up. She patted at Yukari’s flesh, curiously tapping her as if she were some kind of drum. ”This is neat,” She thought aloud. ”P-pretty comfy, too.”

”Hehe! Thanks! I um… I don’t do this for everyone of course. Just my closest friends and… And well.... I hope we can be close friends.” Yukari said as her smile faded just a bit. Since Haruka was so close to her not, this seemed like a good chance for Yukari to have a heart-to-heart with her. ”I um… I just wanted to make sure you’re comfortable around me, you know? A lot of people see me and know I’m blind and I guess… I guess they just feel uneasy. Sometimes they’re worried about me, sometimes they just think I know something, and you know I’m… I’m just a normal girl. At least I’d like to think so. So… Yeah.” Yukari leaned against Haruka, laying her head against the giant shape she had made between the two of them.

”I hope with this, maybe… Maybe you will be okay with me?”

Haruka listened, agreeing with Yukari’s suggestion. She gave a nod, which would probably be felt considering how engulfed she currently was. ”Y-yeah,” She began to say, smiling a little bit. ”I think that’ll work out. Just, uh, you know, as long as you don’t mind the whole anxiety thing. It, uh, takes a bit sometimes, but I think...I think it’ll work.” Yukari was nice, and taking the time to talk like this had done well for Haruka’s comfort level. But there was still the situation with Yukari’s growth going on. ”But, uh, if you’re done doing the thing with making your hands into balloon animals, I kinda need to get up for a sec.”

”Oh, of course.” Yukari took a step back and undid her arms and hands from their balloon animal forms. On anyone else this would have been multiple horrific broken bones, but for Yukari this was a party trick she could do in her sleep. As she was almost done unknotting her arms, her foot ended up slipping on that towel that fell into the bathtub. She was nearly about to fall forward but on instinct she threw her arms forward instead, right towards Haruka. Yukari barely managed to brace herself against the bathtub before their heads collided, prevent a possible concussion. It also helped that Haruka’s bigger body provided plenty of cushioning as Yukari bounced her chest against Haruka’s chest. ”Oh! Sorry! Are you alright Haruka?” Yukari asked as her face was barely an inch away from her roommate’s.

Upon being released, Haruka was just about ready to stand and stretch out. The water was comfortable, but her muscles tended to get tense if she stood still for too long. It was nothing a little bit of basic stretching couldn’t fix though, and even before she got up, she did some arm stretches to limber back up. However, Yukari’s resulting slip ended up stopping that, and she reflexively lurched back herself to try and avoid what looked to be an incoming headbutt. Luckily, neither of them were smashing skulls today. Though she did wonder if Yukari even had a skull, considering.

Having shut her eyes in the sudden flash of motion that led to her being pinned by her bathmate, she didn’t quite realize how close Yukari had gotten despite the pressure on her chest. ”Y-yeah, yeah, I’m good,” She responded, opening them. ”Are you…?” She trailed off, the closeness of Yukari’s face taking her by surprise. ”U-uh.”

”Hmm?” Yukari smiled at Haruka and tilted her head to the side, uncertain what Haruka was trying to say. ”What is it Haruka? Are you hurt? Is it too hot in here?”

”Not hurt,” She responded, clearing her throat a little. ”Just, uh, n-not used to really close contact.”

”Oh. Ooooooh.” Yukari stepped back, careful not to fall this time. She reached into the water and pulled the towel out and held it in front of her chest. ”Eh heh… Why don’t we head back to our dorm now? I think we’ve spent enough time soaking.” Yukari motioned for Haruka to go ahead, and shortly after Yukari would head back to the changing rooms into her pajama clothes. It was a simple night gown in the form of a strapless minidress. It had a rabbit motif to it. She even had some white bunny slippers. ”I’ll meet you back at the dorms!”

Jett Haven

While Jett was waiting for his mother he leaned against the wall next to the entrance. Pulling out his phone, he checked his messages again...sure enough Haruka did not answer him still. He slipped his phone back into his pocket and sighed. He was wondering what had happened to her that made her ignore him on a daily basis.

As he tried to ignore the issue while looking around at the crowd of people who came to visit their kids at the end of day, or waiting for their friend to come out and hang. He noticed a girl who looked similar to Fumika, walking next to a tiny girl who was on crutches. His eyes focused on the smaller girl. She dressed awfully familiar to Haruka. She was about the same height as well. But the fact that she was covering her face and seeming to stick to the blonde girl’s shadow. Also that she had a prosthetic leg, it clearly could not be his Haruka. She would have been leading the other girl, head held high in confidence. That and she had not told him that she got into an accident….or was that the reason?

It was at this time Fumika came sprinting and tackled the poor girl squeezing her tightly. She had yelled Haruka’s name and started commenting on how she fought someone strong and fast like her. This peaked his interest for two reasons. The first one being how excited Fumika was at this time she seemed a lot more quiet during the day, and the second being that she somehow described his Haruka as well...that and the fact that girl who joined in the fight and used Haruka’s move. Was this Haruka???

The girl seemed to be glancing around looking for someone and as he went to walk over and say hello and see for himself if it was her, But before he could his mother pulled up in the family car. He sighed and jogged up to the back door as it opened and his mother stepped out.

She quickly pulled out a shoulder bag and placed it onto the ground giving Jett a quick hug. “Sorry I can’t stay, Just got off the phone with Midge, there is a hostage situation that needs to be taken care of.”

Jett nodded, he understood. Growing up with pro hero parents this was normal for him. He was also a little glad, as this gives him a chance to catch up with Fumika. He glanced back only to see Fumika carrying the short girl and running off with the other blonde girl trailing.

Looking back to his mother he smiled. “It’s fine mom. I understand.”

She studied him for a moment, her sharp eyes seeming look right through him. A smirk came on her face as she cupped his cheek in her hand,“I'll come by tomorrow.” she tapped his cheek lightly and quickly got back into the car. “You be good ok?!”

He quickly nodded and watched her leave, before picking up his bag and slinging it over his shoulder and turning around into almost a sprint trying to catch up with Fumi. Good thing he knew which dorm she was in. But he didn’t have to go far as he realized Fumi had a run in with another student. That he hadn’t seen before, as well as Kasuke, It looked like they all were running, looking at their shoes. It was odd to him they were still in uniform and running though, They seemed to run into each other. He noticed the girl with the crutches slowly getting up and realized it was indeed his Haruka. He stopped in his tracks immediately. His eyes were wide at the sight of her, and the fact that she didn’t have both her legs anymore.

Why the hell didn’t she say anything to him!? Was this why she didn’t want to see him before school? Why she started ignoring him? Even more...Why was she visiting Fumika...and...not him? A sharp pain shot through his heart which almost made him lose his own footing. He almost just wanted to walk away, and not confront her.

But, at that very moment, Fumika turned around, her antenna perking up like the ears of a dog that’s heard its master’s footsteps. Tilting her head curiously to the side, she gave a slight wave.

“Oh. Hello, Jett,” She said quietly, evidently oblivious to the altercation going on behind her between the girl who looked suspiciously like her and the taller student… Or to the fact that the moment she said his name, Haruka went pale as a sheet and froze in place. The plastic frame of her false leg rattled in its socket as her knees began to shake, but she didn’t turn around. She didn’t move, or even speak. If it wasn’t for the slight rising and falling of her shoulders, Jett couldn’t have been sure she was even breathing. Her head hung, messy black bangs and braids dangling in the wind, and for all the world, she looked as if she wanted her legs to simply give way, letting her sink into the ground and thus disappear.

Jett only glanced at Fumika with a blank stare, before registering that she waved and said hello. He only raised his arm just enough to give a single wave back from his waist. It felt like lifting his arm any higher than that would be too much effort. He looked back to Haruka and watched her as she didn’t move, it seemed like ages but it was only for a few moments before he then softly said,

”Haruka?” He still had hope that it wasn’t her, that she wasn’t intentionally trying to ignore him...but the fact that she wasn’t turning towards him and seeming to act like if she didn’t move he didn’t see her, only drove it home more. He suddenly felt that wasn’t enough as he took a few steps towards her. ”What...are you doing here?” It was clear she was visiting Fumika for some reason… but he wanted to hear it from her own mouth.

“Don’t!” Even though it sounded disgusted, angry, tired, fed up, and on the verge of breaking, that voice was still unmistakable to his ears. It was the same voice he’d heard laughing with glee, the same one that had always boasted and ordered him about mercilessly, the same one which had helped him, which he couldn’t have ignored even if he’d tried. This was her. This was who he’d been waiting for.

“Don’t come any closer. Don’t look at me. Please, just… Forget you ever saw me like this.” She wasn’t commanding him anymore. Rather, she was pleading with him, and yet…

“Huh?” Fumika blinked in confusion, her gaze darting between her first friend and one of her newest with ever-mounting concern. “Haruka? Jett? What’s…?” She trailed off into silence, too baffled by this sudden confrontation to continue.

Jett was taken back at her tone. That wasn’t her at all… yet it was her voice. He knew it, he could hear it clearly in his mind always. It was unique and memorable….but this, this wasn’t anything like he heard before. He didn’t even acknowledge Fumika, he was too shocked by the fact Haruka didn’t want him to come closer, or even look at her. She ashamed of the fact she had lost her leg? How the hell did that even happen anyway? Why would she even assume that he would think differently of her.

He stood silently for a moment...wondering what to do next. He of course wasn’t going to just let this go. That’s not what friends do. A sudden look of determination came on his face as he let out a breath of air. He straightened his shoulders and quickly moved to her, and before she could react he moved in front of her and wrapped his arms around her shoulders and pulled her into tight embrace. He just held her like that for a moment and then said. “Why would I want to forget my friend?” softly into her ear.

Her crutches clattered to the ground, and he felt two arms pushing against his chest… but it was so weak, he hardly even felt it. It was as if she was still just as much a child as when she’d left, and yet…

“Stop. Stop it. What are you even trying to do? Just let go of me.” Her voice sounded cold, but it was utterly devoid of the resonance he so remembered. It was as if it was taking every last bit of her effort just to articulate words, but at the same time, she never once sobbed, nor did she raise her head, stubbornly refusing to surrender to tears. Even in despair, she was still just as stubborn as ever. “I told you not to come any closer. You never listen. Why do you never listen?!” Word building upon word, her voice rose to an angry crescendo that bored its way into his heart like a knife. Her hands were grabbing the lapels of his uniform jacket now, and she shook him violently, her gold eyes staring eerily up at him through the bangs of her dark hair, put into stark relief against the pale white of her face. “Fine! Are you happy now?! I’ll bet you’re overjoyed! Go on, then, smile! Laugh! Do whatever the hell you want! You finally got…” Despite her valiant attempts to hold it back, a choking sob wracked her voice. “You finally got your stupid answer…!” Her head dropped as she finally gave up on her defense. Jett could feel her shoulders trembling as little by little, her struggling and squirming grew weaker. The way she was simply drooping over, completely limp… It was as if she hadn’t lost just her leg, but rather, like her whole body had been replaced by a mere doll of the Haruka he’d once known.

Someone else was shaking him now. Springing into action, Fumika had begun tugging on his arm. A short distance behind her, the younger girl who looked to be her sister was staring in silent bewilderment at the sudden confrontation. “Jett…! Haruka said to let her go!” Her words were confused, desperate even… and yet oddly resolute. But the way she was looking at him now… It was the closest expression to “terror” he’d ever seen her display. It was the look of someone who could only watch helplessly as the people she cared about were hurt - of someone who wanted to do something, anything, to ease their pain, and yet could not.

Jett was completely confused at her reaction...not so much of why he never listened. He got that a lot from her. But the fact she asked if he was happy, overjoyed, and he should smile and laugh. What at this? Why the hell would he do such a thing? He did not even attempt to cover up the hurt look on his face as she lashed out at him. As he tried to think up of what to even say to this when he felt Fumika tugging on his arm. Though he didn’t move, he didn’t want her to fall. He didn’t know how well she could balance. He did however pull back slightly but Ignored Fumika.

He looked her dead in the eyes. Almost angry now that she had the gall to say those word. ”What the hell are you saying? Why would I be Happy about this? Why would I laugh or smile at seeing…” He motioned with his hand downward to her leg, and at that moment, the last bits of her facade crumbled as if he’d struck her right across the face. ”Haruka, why would I? You think I’m that shallow I wouldn’t want to be your friend after seeing you like this??” His voice was rising now, Over the years he never Really got mad at her, even if they were messing around. He never raised his voice at her like this.

Haruka didn’t answer. She’d frozen up again, and didn’t even seem to be looking at him anymore. The clattering of her false leg echoed like drums in Jett’s ears as not just her knees, but rather, her whole body shook. Fumika wasn’t just tugging now, but was practically clawing at his arms, trying to drag Haruka away from him. She was yelling something, telling him to get away, but it hardly registered in his mind as more than a passing oddity. Why was someone like Fumika screaming at the top of her lungs? Why was she looking at him like a complete stranger - no, like he was somehow an enemy?

“Jett, stop! You’re hurting Haruka! Stop it!” As always, her words were ever childish. It was obvious she didn’t understand at all what was going on. If she just knew, then surely, she’d understand that he was trying to help. So why the hell was she looking at him like that? Why was Haruka looking at him like that? His grip went slack, and in an instant, Fumika grabbed hold of Haruka and tugged her back, clinging to her tightly as she stumbled backward and away from Jett. She was obviously panicking. Her breath was coming in short, quick bursts, and her eyes were darting back and forth as if they’d somehow help her to see and understand the meaning of why her friends were fighting, of why Haruka was crying.

”H-Haruka, are you alright? What’s wrong?” Fumika’s desperate question got no answer. Instead...

”So… you’ll just pretend it’s no different? You’ll act like everything’s fine, like nothing’s changed?” Of all things, the slightest hint of a laugh crept into the distraught girl’s voice, such that it was impossible to tell where her tears ended and this black joke began. ”That’s stupid… It’s all so stupid…!”

” Something has changed obviously, and it's not your leg.! But the one thing that wouldn’t change is that you're my friend and I care about you whether you like it or not.’ He yelled, but pulled himself back before reaching down. And picking up the crutches and placing them in just a way that either Haruka or Fumika could take them from him.

”What are you talking about?” Haruka shot back defensively, rubbing her eyes before snatching her crutches and then shaking off Fumika, who positively wilted and drew back in dismay, but Haruka didn’t seem to notice. ”What do you mean ‘it’s not my leg?’ Are you dense or something?! Of course that’s why… It’s all because I was stupid and got careless! If it weren’t for that, then… Then I’d have been able to keep my promise. But I can’t, alright?!”

Jett was about to say something before pausing. And taking a step back, looking at the others around them as they watched silently. This was not going anywhere he wanted. She was clearly hurt and bitter over her leg. ”Haruka….” His voice soft once again. ”You know what? Forget it.” He looked defeated now, but he didn’t know what else to say. He reached down and picked up his bag that had fallen to the ground and looked at Haruka one last time. ”I’m sorry you got hurt… I wished you told me, but know I don’t care if the promise was broken, if that's the reason you didn’t want to see me or talk to me...thinking I would think less of you, or laugh at your situation. You clearly didn’t know me at all.” He said in a hurt tone.

“Where was I wrong?” Haruka asked at last. ”It’s obvious. Of course you think less of me…! Even just now, you were clinging onto me like you thought that without you there to hold me up, I’d just fall and get hurt. Well I’m not helpless! Even like this, I’m…”

He cut her off as he took a few steps to her. “Of course I was holding onto you. I don’t know how much you adjusted! Cause you didn't’ TELL ME. Of course I’m going to be a little more careful or more protective. I don’t know what was going on! It doesn’t mean That I think less of you! Sue me for actually caring about your wellbe-”
”BOTH OF YOU JUST... SHUT UP!”

Haruka froze. Asuka froze. Because that voice… there was just no way. That couldn’t be…

Fumika?!

As her friends looked at her in disbelief, Fumika stared blankly back. She still looked restless, uneasy, terrified even, and yet…

“Stop being angry at each other. I don’t know what either of you are talking about. I don’t know why you’re sad. I don’t understand it, because I’m stupid.” She frowned, looking away bashfully, but nevertheless mustered up the most of her courage to continue. “But I do know that why you’re angry… it’s my fault. Because… because it’s my fault that Haruka got hurt…! She got hurt saving me, so if you’re going to blame anyone, then blame me!” As she shouted this out, she looked as if she, too, was about to cry. It was obvious, then, that she wasn’t just acting this way because she thought it would resolve everything, but rather, because…

What do you mean ‘it’s not my leg?’ Are you dense or something?! Of course that’s why…

Haruka stared in disbelief, then hung her head in guilt. ”Fumika, that’s not… I never meant…” She protested weakly. “Please, you know I didn’t mean to blame you. What happened was my fault, right? Because I didn’t get there fast enough. I was careless.”

“But if I hadn’t-”

“No buts!” Haruka cut her off adamantly.

“Then… it’s alright?”

“It’s alright. I’m sorry, Fumi. I shouldn’t have brought you into this.” Haruka sighed, taking a deep breath and rubbing her reddened eyes one more time before turning back to face Jett. She no longer seemed quite as angry, just… tired.

“You’re right. I should have let you know sooner that I failed. There’s no point blaming you for anything you’ve just said. Just… go ahead and think of me whatever you will.” Just like that, Harukaze Haruka, who never backed down, completely lost the will to argue any further. But that dispirited look in her eyes, and the blunt way in which she phrased her surrender… Either way, it didn’t feel like a victory to anyone.

Jett half expected to see Kasuke be the one to tell them to shut up. But it clearly wasn’t her voice. It was Fumika. That was the first time, beit the first day he met her, but it was still odd to see her be the one to tell them to shut up. It definitely pulled him back into the moment. He listened as he found out Haruka lost her leg while saving Fumika. He was quiet as she then turned to him and gave up the argument. Though the way she phrased it only made him more angry, he didn’t show it thought.

This wasn’t her at all..the part she was missing was her personality. He should have said it...but he instead said. ”No… You didn’t fail...You saved Fumika. If anything you became a hero before I did. Losing a leg because of it doesn’t mean you failed… I’m just mad you didn't tell me. Not because of our promise. Because Friends are there for each other. I can’t be there for you if you don’t tell me. Even though I know you don’t like help we all need it anyways.” He said with a sigh.

Haruka frowned, and opened her mouth as if to argue something… but then flushed an uncharacteristic shade of red and simply looked away. She didn’t affirm or deny anything, but at the very least, she wasn’t running or hiding anymore. It was a long shot, but maybe…

Maybe she’d at least hear him out, and then things would be, if not the same as they once had been, at least better than they were now.

Haruka Sanegeyama

After heading back to the dorm, Haruka decided not to stow her things away. She changed into her PJ's, a simple pair of shorts and a tank top, and got to unpacking more properly. Some shelves were set up on the walls at her side, upon which she began lining books, some electronics, and most importantly, her figures. Dozens of depictions of heroes, villains, and giant monsters from tokusatsu shows and movies were set up, meticulously posed in iconic, heroic, or occasionally incredibly goofy ways. Most were from high-quality production lines, though the occasional accessory or other mass-retail figure found its way into the shelves as well. It had taken some effort to get everything set up right, but once she had, it looked good.

Her computer had come next, and the desk was swiftly turned into a proper battlestation. The monitor, tower, and keyboard had all been customized with her Quirk, making them especially top of the line. A camera attached to the top of the monitor was of great importance, considering White Hat's homework assignment. Quirk usage in her daily life was pretty common, actually, so she could capture some of the details pretty well. As she prepared to begin recording, she had made special note not to unbox her costume, so the monolithic cardboard remained near the foot of her bed, and some empty ones were left near it for the sake of display.

She cleared her throat and hit record. "This is Haruka. Uh, here's my homework assignment for White Hat-sensei's class." Taking a moment to open a drawer, she placed a speaker on the desk. "This speaker is kind of old. The sound quality's really low and it's just about half broken." To demonstrate, she plugged her phone into it and played some music. The sound, as she described, came out fuzzy and distorted "So I'm gonna fix it."

Haruka activated her Quirk, her eyes taking on a brighter, glowing sheen compared to their normal color, and she moved her hands over the speaker. Influenced by her power, it disassembled itself at her whim. Each piece separated from the last, and the same glow of her eyes washed over them as she made the technology come apart. At that point, she placed another object on the desk, this time a box of extra parts she'd put together. Some were identifiable to the tech savvy eye, but most were entirely built from scratch. She immediately began swapping things out, showing a very broken piece to the camera. With some focus, her eyes glowed more, and the broken circuits began to repair themselves.

After moving more bits around, she reassembled it as casually as she'd taken it apart, plugging it back into her phone. "Let's see how it worked." She pressed play on a different song, which came out nice and clear. With a smile, Haruka unplugged it. "Pretty good. But that's not all."

Her eyes still glowed, and the tall box by her bed suddenly opened from the inside as a metallic fist thrust through the box and then tore its way out. Haruka kept her eyes on the camera, watching as the suit emerged fully from its containment, walked toward her, and struck a Kamen Rider-esque henshin pose. At that point, she half-smiled. "This is my costume. I'll be going in it for hero stuff, but I can move it around with my Quirk without being in there. Sometimes I use it for housework." To demonstrate her point, she had the suit turn back around and gather her now-empty boxes, flattening each one to save up space before stacking them on the ground neatly, to be recycled the next day.

"And that's some daily life stuff. Thanks for watching." She stopped recording and saved the video, sending it over the school e-mail system to White Hat. After that, she took a deep breath and leaned back in her chair, spinning around to look at her costume. "You're the coolest, you know that?" She asked it. It had no AI and thus couldn't really take a compliment, but she controlled it again to make it give her a thumbs-up, at which she smiled. She then returned it to the place it had been stored at before, and looked at the door, wondering when Yukari would show up.

Boys' Dorms > Campus Grounds

“Ah that’s fine.” It wasn’t surprising he was asking about his quirk now. ”They are my quirk, and there’s seven of them that act like a boost in different ways. They make me act weird though, so it’s hard to use multiple at once. They boost things like strength, speed, senses and even healing. It feels weird to share them though.” He stopped sharing after that. When he asked if Kenichi was ready, the blue hair nodded and followed him out the door. But then the floating lights, an orange one and a red one, actually spoke up for themselves, which startled Kenichi a bit. Ayato sighed and explained.

”They also have their own personalities. I could introduce all of them if you want. I was also wondering what your quirk was.”

"Oh, mine's pretty simple." Kenichi said, gesturing to the mask over his face. "It's called Hyper Ventilation, but not like the kind where someone gets too hysteric and passes out. Basically, my lungs can move and store huge amounts of air--I can hold my breath for ten minutes at a time, easy, or blow hard enough to knock people over. But as I grew up the only other way I figured out to use it was like blood doping." He flexed an arm to demonstrate, the veins growing brighter in color as freshly oxygenated blood surged through them. "The more air I get, the more energy my muscles can use and the better they flush this stuff called lactic acid--that's what makes you tired or makes an exercise painful." Actually, now that Kenichi thought about it, Ayato was the one who had mentioned the far-away cage or whatever it was in Arsenal's class, so maybe he was smart enough to understand everything without Kenichi attempting to explain it. Oh well, less chance to bungle it up.

"My doctor told me my body adapted as I grew too, since my Quirk is one of the types that are always active, so I can handle pushing myself way past what would be safe for a normal athlete. But I'm no All Might or Desutegoro...at least not yet."

He put his hand on his chin for a moment as he considered what Ayato had said about his own Quirk.

"But, your Quirk seems pretty neat. Like having a guiding fairy or summon spirit in an RPG. But if using them gives you different powers, and there's seven of them, I bet their personalities are based on basic emotions, right? Anger, Sadness, Pride, Love, stuff like that?" There were supposed to be seven sins and seven virtues, and all the emotions were associated with different colors. Each of Ayato's little lights had been a different color up until now too, and the red and orange ones had been more assertive. Red was usually the color of something like anger, so to the blunette this hyper...hypno...hypothesis made the most sense.

As they headed down through the dorms, Kenichi caught the smell of cookies floating through the air. Acting as if they had nearly stepped on a minefield, he suddenly shot an arm out in front of Ayato.

"First rule of Fit, Ayato-kun! Carbs or fats depends on your end-goal, but avoid sugar as much as humanly possible!" he said, with an urgency in his voice and an uncomfortable amount of intensity in his eyes. Then he kept walking. "I smell meat too, though. Protein is pretty much your best friend on any diet or exercise regimen." The blue hair wondered who was in the kitchen, but figured it must have been multiple people since sweets and meat didn't sound like an ideal combination to him.

As they left the dorm building and starting heading around the campus to the gym, something else caught Kenichi's attention--the sound of a familiar voice shouting in a way that wasn't familiar. There were some people talking near the entrance gate, one of whom Kenichi felt like he could have picked easily out of almost any crowd. Mostly because of said person's antennae.

"Hey, Ayato-kun, I'm gonna say hi to a classmate real quick!" he told the other boy, before striding over towards Fumika and whoever it was around her. As he got closer he realized one of them was Jett, and he didn't recognize the other two girls. One of them bore a strong resemblance to Fumika, although she didn't seem nearly as quiet or passive, and the other...

Ouch, wonder what happened to her leg? Right, gotta remember not to say something stupid--this isn't like talking to Dad, so no jokes like you would make with him.

@Aerandir@Feyblue"Yo, Motome-chan! Jett-kun!" He raised a hand at the same time as he raised his voice in greeting, walking casually up to the group as his other hand pulled the breathing mask down to let it hang around his neck. In a sudden flash of mental insight he realized his workout clothes might not be the coolest thing--just a white A-shirt and a pair of blue shorts--and despite all the work he had put in thus far maybe his muscles still weren't cool enough to be put on open display like this. But oh well, too late to worry about that now...heck, why was he worrying in the first place, it wasn't like he wanted to be thought of as cool...

"You're so cool!" She said, her admiration obvious in her voice. Instead of her usual calm, stoic tone, she practically shouted these words, hopping halfway up from her chair before she evidently thought better of this decision and wobbled back down into a seated position.

Well, maybe a little bit...

"Everything, uh, alright?" He stopped just short of the group, looking around and giving a nod of acknowledgement to the two girls he didn't know. "I mean, I don't wanna interrupt anythin', I just...thought I heard Motome-chan shout." He scratched his cheek with a self-admonishing grin.

Kasuke Mina

Mina watched silently as Jett and the crippled girl he seemed to had a history with reunited with. Mina wasn't sure she should be watching this. It seemed private and personal. But what she was feeling watching this wasn't quite awkwardness. Was in jealousy?...No. Besides, why would it be jealousy? No, this feeling felt stronger and less pleasant than either of those things. It was like an ache. She averted her eyes, staring at the wall and the scenery as she listened. She felt like stepping in, but knew that she's just make things even more chaotic.

What was Painful was Jett's density and inability to take a hint. Mina was also a proud and independent girl. If she has also lost her leg and Jett was saying and doing these things, she'd recognise the good intentions but it would annoy her. She was about to step in whwen Jett actually saved the situation and said something sweet, which Mina's brain acknowledged was a good thing even though the ache had gotten worse. What was wrong with her?

While Haruka, Fumika and Jett were occupied, Mina slid over to Asuka and put her hand out, still facing forward and watching the debacle. "Hello. My name is Kasuke," she calmly and politely greeted.
