Amelia Payne

Location: Outer Wall

Amelia was barely registering what was going on anymore. She sensed the kiss on the cheek, but she couldn't bring herself to react in any way as she stood silently while Kristina came over. It was nice from the other woman to try to comfort her, but it wasn't really working miracles right now.

She looked around while Meg and Tiffany also joined her, Tiffany also trying to comfort her. She struggled to speak, throwing a look at them, before throwing a look at the bodies... at Sana. Why did everything happen at once? Why did only nice people? A certain bastard completely was deleted from her mind right now. She braced herself as she gulped, throwing a look at her hoe now.

“Miss Sally... didn't make... it.” She said really quietly, her hands were trembling a little.” A group is... heading out to gather supplies for a proper funeral.” She explained, feeling a little weird as she looked at her hoe.” Let's finish... this.” She said quietly, trying to go to her tool of digging, wondering if her hands can hold it even right now.

Jack Hudson

Location: Building F (The Newnans' House)

Jack nodded at Tatiana's words. They were things that he had thought he had already internalized. Sure, he had an incredibly overprotective nature, but...Well, the Massachusetts native didn't like to think about those fears and those doubts. Perhaps he had been repressing them all this time, but he couldn't help but doubt it. He had gotten married the day before. But then again, with all of the death and the fact that he had heard Dick's voice...Maybe Tatiana was right.

Maybe he was afraid of becoming a father? He never had a male role model growing up. His own father had been a piece of shit. As soon as he was old enough to understand, Jack would refuse to see his father. He hardly ever saw his own siblings, his half-sisters. He had meant to go connect with his half-sister Georgiana before the outbreak - she had made it big in college hockey, apparently - but the undead had gotten in the way of that. His mother died as well. Too much loss.

"Yes, ma'am," Jack responded.

He forced a bit of a smile at Ray. Thinking about his own doubts and fears wasn't easy. "We're thinkin' James - maybe wanna tack on Sally there or somethin'. I think somethin' Russian would be good as well."

Beatrice Decker

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

Beatrice cracked a smile at James' comments. "James, you haven't met my demons yet. I can handle your darkness. The real question is if you can handle mine," Beatrice pointed out. She was from Justice after all. She was publicly a process server, but her real job was finding anyone and everyone. Sometimes it was to help out a gang or an organization. Sometimes it was to help grieving family members. It didn't matter to her, as long as she got paid. Her own preservation came first at all times.

Helping James fight Eden was probably one of the few selfless acts of her lifetime. As James told Gavin about the various weapons they have, Beatrice's eyes swept over the items in the truck once more. She hadn't managed to finish taking stock by any means, but she had been able to assemble a partial list. "This inventory isn't complete, but we have," Beatrice began, before rattling off a partial list of the items in the truck.

Beatrice then rolled her wrists and cracked her knuckles. They were feeling a little stiff and she preferred to have them loose, ready for anything. There was a reason she worked as a trainer in Newnan. She knew how to fight, how to survive. She could've been the poster child for the gritty survivalist, except for the fact that Beatrice would hate for her photograph to be taken. In her line of work, anonymity had been a useful tool. It was easier to find people when you weren't recognizable.

Chloe & Ravi

Location: Building 6 (the Armory)

"Oh? Me too!" Ravi eagerly added, before realizing how poorly worded that had been. "I mean, I investigated crime. I sent a lot of blokes off to prison." But unfortunately, it hardly seemed to amuse Chloe. The ginger shot him a look that basically was a mixture of you said that already and what the hell, man? Had Ryan been there, she likely would've either complained to him about the Brit or asked him to make Ravi buzz off. Likely both on a day like this. She wasn't in a people friendly mood.

"Nothing different than when you were here a few minutes ago," Chloe replied to Riley. It hadn't been long since she had seen her twin - they had just left medical not too long ago. Nothing shocking or surprising had happened, beyond the Brit constantly repeating things she already knew. Honestly, straight men. They could be so irritating.

"Yo, Jim! Need weapons for me and the Brit. On the same detail as Niesha," Chloe said, walking quickly over to Jim as soon as she had spotted him.

"What she said," Ravi said to Riley, forcing a bit of a smile. "The plan is the same as before - pop on over, get the chemicals I need to embalm Miss Sally, and return here in time for supper."

Thana Martin

Location: Agriculture: Storage (West Side between Inner and Outer Wall)

A coy glance came from Thana as she looked over towards Ash out from the corner of her eye. "Easy? What fun would that be?" she asked as she stepped over towards the wheelbarrow and grasped the handles. She lowered herself much deeper than she needed to but she was taunting him with a bit of a flash of what lay beneath her collar before righting herself and smirking. Wheeling it over towards the bricks she set it down so Ash would have to walk back and forth. Sure she enjoyed watching him but he was right about one thing, they would have to continue this conversation later and the sooner they finished the sooner later would arrive.

Stepping over to the water cans she took a minute to decide which one to take. Not that it really needed a consideration but bending over and examining them was part of this little game they were playing while they were alone. "And yous thoughts yous weren'ts likes yer sister? Bless yer heart, yer just as shameless. Keeps tellin' yerself yous all works on the clocks, yup, sees right throughs that." The voice rang out in her head and Thana felt herself straightening rather quickly, an iron rod straight up her backside. She had heard the voice. Her voice? No, it was her voice. Had to be. She had heard a voice in her head earlier but passed it off that it was her own mind speaking to herself. That was what was happening right then. She wasn't hearing things. She couldn't be. Had no reason to. She felt no guilt over the deaths and they didn't even bother her. She didn't know them.

"You gotta be fucking kidding me. This puta is what does it for you now? Look at her, one second playing with ya, the next cold as ice. Damn man, least her sister was fun. Knew how to have a good time. You really need another military momma around you? How much time you spend saluting each other? And what about that tall drink of water. Sure she says she's yours but a girl like this? You just fucking met her. How the hell you know you can trust her. Yeah, James knew her but that was how long ago? Not much of a reference if you ask me. Be like anyone vouching for Dick just because they knew him outside the wall. All you know she only said that to keep the peace, work her way under your skin and then bam, Texas is going to show back up, claim his girl and this place. Watch yourself Ash," Alicia said from one of the counters, just sitting there as she shuffled a deck of cards. During the speech she got up and walked around Thana a few times before stepping into the shadows and she was gone once again.

Snatching up a watering can, Thana figured that would work. It was a water can for gods sake. Not like it took a lot of time to figure out which one held the most and would work for the little project she had in mind. Shaking the thought of a voice in her head out of her mind she let out a breath and tightened the jacket around her waist. "Okay you said we could grab the rest from the distillery didn't you?" she asked as she stepped over to the wheelbarrow and set it down. Slowly her eyes found their way over to Ash. "Everything okay?"

Lola Holler

Location: Heading Towards A Meeting

"Oh baby! I got a few things in mind on how you can repay me," Lola taunted as she grinned over towards Thalia like a cat about to pounce a mouse. She blew the girl a kiss and gave her a wink before turning her attention back to the road. Thankfully the road seemed to be rather decently clear and from what she could tell traveled recently but it wouldn't be much longer that they would have snow tracks to be able to tell them anything. The sun was high and bright now, things were warming up quickly and the snow from the last weeks was melting faster the later in the day it got. Streams of water could be seen shimmering and running into the gutters along the side of the road.

At Thalia's next words Lola snarked a bit. "Hey I'm as lovable as a Tasmanian Devil!" she laughed. She was, she could be a cute and cuddly but at the same time she could cause a whirl wind of chaos that would make most people run for the hill. "Anyways, my tank is all the scare I need," she added as she patted the side of the seat she was driving from. Half the time it could make a person wonder just how much she enjoyed her tank. She loved it, that was plane to see, but at times it bordered on down right damn disturbing the way she went on about it. Acting as if it was a living breathing thing, talking to it like it was responding to her. Yeah, that Kiwi had a few screws loose....

As Alexander spoke Lola snickered a bit, she wasn't touching that one with a ten foot pole. Not that it was hard for Lola to like people, she generally did; even now. Thing was though, Thalia wasn't so accepting and Thalia ranked much higher on the totem pole than Alexander did. Anyways, she needed to pay attention to the road. Well not really, it wasn't exactly hard considering the conditions but she kept quiet anyways and just whistled a Cole Porter tune to herself, figuring she would let Thalia field that comment. Though that may not have been the best idea, if he irked Thalia then things with this spotted dick they were meeting up with could go sour quickly, oh fuck it, they probably would anyways. As much as Lola liked people, didn't mean that people liked her but fuck them, she had a tank.

Tatiana Korvo

Location: The Newnan's House (Building F)

Jim looked up as Riley entered and gave her a nod of his head and a general hello. He'd ask her what she needed but since there were already others in there gearing up, he figured he would let them finish before asking. Didn't want people trying to grab for the same thing at the same time. Was better to take this type of gearing in order of arrival unless it was an emergency but gathering the way Riley entered the armory he figured it wasn't.

Tatiana smiled over at Ray and giggled a sorrowful giggle. "James if boy, Jamie if girl. Vorks for both dah?" she half way asked. There were plenty of names for a baby that meant something to both Tatiana and Jack but James was their most recent family, it was only fitting the baby be named after him. Granted she had no idea what middle name the baby would get but that could wait. They had plenty of time, didn't they? As for his thanks she simply nodded an acceptance of it, it was her job to help people deal with their issues, reassure them when needed and give them a kick in the ass if it was called for.

Looking over to Niesha Jim nodded and took out his clip board, marking down what she had taken so that it was accounted for and someone wouldn't be asking later where what was. This made things easier. "Okay girl, looks like you are all covered for here," he said with a slight smile. It was forced but that wasn't because of Niesha. He was always a little on edge when people were heading outside of the wall, granted today it didn't seem to matter if you were inside or outside, people still died. This thought made the forced smile even harder to hold.

Glancing up at Jack she smiled. "Ve figure it out. Have plenty of time, baby not due for long time," Tatiana said brightly. She liked the name Sally. "Sally James?" she suggested with a giggle. "Think Miss Sally love that! Cannot vait to tell her!" Tatiana exclaimed. The more she thought about it for a girls name the more she liked it. Unfortunately Tatiana and Ray were still unaware that Sally had passed away. Jack hadn't told them yet and there had been no call over the radio to announce it that Tatiana had received on her radio frequency. As far as she knew everything was fine with Miss Sally.

"Any vord on Miss Sally? Vant to stop by and talk to her once she is feeling up to it."

"Damn it's busy in here. Okay, he can have a knife from that row," Jim said pointing over to the stack marked "kids" and then turned his attention back to Chloe and gave her the same run down he had given Niesha. "Just make sure I get a chance to check everything out for you on the list before you leave."

Gavin & Ryan

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

"I'm the fucking Lord of the Dance, I'm always on point," Ryan smirked as he took a toothpick out of his coat and stuck it between his teeth. There was a bit of pride on his features, sure he knew he was right but wasn't every day that someone was willing to admit that Irish knew a thing or two.

At the mention of a sniper gun Gavin's eyes widened like a child on Christmas morning. "Well slap me on my ass and call me Sally. Fuck yeah," he said as he tore over to the truck and started scavenging. It was half a second later that he was pulling out the case and running his hands over it as if it was a a woman that was far too hot to handle. Slowly he opened the case and he let out a long whistle. "Ain't that a beaUtiful sight?" she said to himself as he gently picked it up and started putting it together. Pointing it away from everyone he looked through the scope and grinned. "Yeah, sounds sweet to me Mr. James. I be ready,"" he said as he climbed into the back of the truck. He figured he could hop out when they got close and steel away into the woods.

Ryan shrugged and climbed into the cab of the truck, like hell he was sitting out in the bed of the truck for this. If this went south, and chances were it would, he was at least going to have a decent place to sit for a bit. "That hombre better be good to that gun..." a voice said creeping into James mind. It was cold and warning as it spoke.

"Sounds like we are packing. Alright Bea, let's show them how we handle things downtown," Ryan chuckled as he got comfortable and waited for James to take them to their destination. Gavin gave a thump on the hood of the truck to let James know he was ready and took point. The rifle set up on the top of the truck and Gavin ready to pull the trigger if needed even if they were still driving. Bracing himself for the ride, he was ready to go.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Building 6 (Armory)

Riley looked between her sister and Ravi for a moment, she got the slight feeling that Ravi was slightly getting on her sister's nerves, the guy did seem to be a little bit to cheery. "By that I think my sister meant that she was on the other end of the law." She said as she followed Chloe and Ravi into the armory. Looking over towards Jim, Riley gave him a friendly smile and gave him a wave, she did come to the armory pretty often to get some weapons for training purposes. "I'm with them as well." Riley said, she knew his setup pretty well make sure he sees what your taking and then sign and check it off.

Riley gave Niesha a friendly smile and nod, making her way over towards the bows and crossbows were, searching around until she found her crossbow. She preferred it over any other ranged weapons, the arrows were easily able to be reused and they were very silent. The only real drawback from using a crossbow was that they were a pain to reload and took awhile to, and you would have to aim very carefully.

Then she went over to grab a machete and then moved over to where the ammo was, grabbing two extra clips even though they were scares at this point they still needed to go on a run to find more ammo for the guns. Riley made her way over towards the front desk towards Jim setting down everything that she would be taking with her so that Jim would take inventory over what she was taking with her. "So how are you holding up anyway Jim?" Riley asked, giving everything that has happened today with the number of deaths so far.

Kristina Smith

Location: Graveyard

Kristina looked down at her feet, she had heard somewhat from their conversation between Amelia and Riley still it hit her and sighed slightly. She hated days like this, the number of deaths made it remind her of the day that she had came to Newnan there was so much death that day. Kris ran a hand through her hair and gently laid a hand on her friend's shoulder, maybe talking with Tatiana would do some good for everyone after they burry the bodies.

"I'll probably go and see Tati after this." Kris said softly to herself, she always did enjoy having her talks with Tatiana seeing her as a sister. Kristina then turned around and started to head back to the hole and started to dig again putting the shoveled dirt into the slowly growing pile. The sooner that they finished up their work the quicker that she could have sometime to herself, and maybe hangout with Niesha whenever she got back from that run with Riley.

Meghna Kumar

Location: Graveyard

Meghna stopped for a moment when Amelia announced that Ms. Sally had died, looking away as she tried to calm herself down she always enjoyed Ms. Sally's guidance and help whenever they were around. She was the mentor to pretty much everyone who was there for any advice or help. Meg then looked towards Amelia she seemed to be withdrawn from everything that happened she gave Amelia a gentle hug hoping that it would make her feel better. "Why don't you take a break and maybe talk with Tatiana, she is always really helpful for everything." She suggested.

Meg didn't want another problem like Sana offing herself earlier today, she didn't want to see another close friend dying even if people did die daily now in this world. Meg looked between Tiffany and Kristina as well figuring that maybe they should also have that little chat with Tatiana as well. "If either of you want to go and talk Tatiana feel free to." Meghna said, she wasn't going to keep them here if they were upset and having to burry the bodies

Raymond Mendoza

Location: Building F Tatiana & Jack's Home

Raymond gave the newlyweds a friendly smile they were already discussing names for their child, James or Jamie wasn't a bad name, and it was after Black James. "If you guys ever need a babysitter feel free to ask i'm great with kids. And those are great names as well" Raymond said giving them a smile, though if it was a boy Sally would be a little bit weird for a boy's middle name. "Maybe Sal or Salvador could be cool." Raymond suggested naming the baby after Ms. Sally was also a good thing.

Raymond started to wonder how she was doing, he remembered after the goodbyes to James there was something wrong with Ms. Sally which made him worry. He hadn't heard any word on what was going on with her either, but then again he lacked a radio as well, Ray looked towards Jack for a moment to see if he knew anything either on Ms. Sally's status.

Tiffany Lyle

Location: Outer Wall

Amelia said it but it was hard to process. Miss Sally was gone. She figured that out of everyone there, Miss Sally would outlive everyone. The woman was tough as nails under that sweet, caring demeanour. Tiffany took some deep breaths. She hadn't known Miss Sally as long as the others, but still she was family. And now, they had one more person to bury.

Still, it didn't make sense to leave Meg with all the work. She could talk to Taitana later (or even better..Ray). For now, she would remain. "No, it's ok. I'll talk to her later if need be. We should finish this quickly then. We can handle that though, so Kris or Amelia, if you want to go see Tatiana, we'll handle this." She was worried about Meg especially, considering their recent talk. She didn't want to leave the girl alone just yet.

Niesha

Location Building six:Armoury

Niesha looked up at the sound of voices, frowning slightly. She sighed as she recognised the trio, suddenly feeling an outcast. Chloe had always avoided her- Niesha had come to expect that from her. But… she thought that Riley was a friend… yet Riley hadn’t said one word to her, even in the infirmary and… It seemed that Riley didn’t think she could do it, either… Niesha looked to Jim, nodded and put the pack on her back, ”Thank you, Jim” she said softly, trying to pull her mind off the others, for a bit. It seemed everyone was uneasy, and for good reason. This day was steadily worse by the minute, it seemed. Not sure what to say, what anyone could say right then, Niesha started out, hesitating a moment or two.

She started to walk out again, thinking that if Chloe and the rest of them wanted to ignore her, then so be it. The more rational side of her brain- once the part that ruled her the most, knew that she was being petty, even as the more emotional side of her- she still hadn’t figured out how to put that back away, didn’t know if she wanted to. She liked who she was now. She looked up in time to see Riley’s smile, and wave, and hesitated a fraction of a second, before returning it.

Okay, so maybe she was delusional. But then, she was hearing voices. Sorta.

”I’ll catch you guys at the gates” She said, speaking more so to Riley then anyone else. She continued out, heading towards the gates, going slow, but still at a steady pass, part of her hoping that maybe Kristina would find her. Maybe she could be gone and back before Kris even knew she was gone… but she couldn’t stop that part that hoped that maybe she’d be there, or catch up with her… while she thought it would be easier not having to say goodbye to hdf, Niesha did think that she shouldn’t have chickened out on going to see her friend… Sighing, she turned her thoughts towards what they were about to do, trying to wipe away her own doubts and fears.

Amelia Payne

Location: Graveyard

She didn't completely listen to what the others were saying for a moment as she snapped out of it when Meg proposed for them to go and talk with Tatiana if they wished.” I... can't...shouldn't. I have to finish this.” She said in shaky voice before taking the hoe and swinging it with barely any force behind the swing. She couldn't feel the impact at all, but she swung again, slowly as if trying to force herself into a digging trance. The same thing she was trying to do earlier only this time it seemed so pointless.

The pile of dirt was indeed growing, but what about it? Soon enough they'd finish the graves for the three right now. Will they dig out the fourth one now? She didn't know. All seemed so empty. 4 had died and Riley was going outside the wall too. What if something happened to Riley too? Would she have to dig that grave as well? At the mere thought of it, she lost all strength and found herself using the hoe as a support. She felt a little sick in the stomach, but swung the tool once more at the ground.

Ash Holloway

Location: Agriculture: Storage (West Side between Inner and Outer Wall)

Hello darkness, my old friend...

It's funny what goes through one's mind when concepts like "Reality" take a nosedive. For Ash, it was Simon & Garfunkel. Which was odd, considering he was really more of a Rolling Stones kind of guy. But there it was. ...I've come to talk to you again... But it wasn't darkness that seemed to call him.

Thana was doing an excellent job of being coy, even playful. He even had to stop himself from reaching out to her once or twice. He just smiled quietly and shook his head. Oh, they would definitely be continuing the conversation later. It was a new beginning for Ash, and he didn't want to miss a minute of it. It wasn't just the fact that he had met someone with exquisitely striking looks, nor that she was fairly like-minded in her sense of professionalism. Nor was it the shared military background (even if she was NAVY). Well, all of it helped immensely, but the greatest portion was that he had progressed so profoundly as to allow someone else near to his heart, and in such a short time. When it feels right, it just feels right, though. And it did.

Then the vision of Alicia came again. But closer, more vivid. Right in the room with them, taunting him. Sowing doubt. Trying to create fear and distrust. This was advice that she might have given a man who was having the wool pulled over his eyes, caught up in some honeytrap. His eyes hardened. A tiny flame of anger flickered through him, and for two opposing reasons: First, he hadn't even considered this. Even though he pursued her as much as she him, as he remembered it. But Second, he didn't consciously believe that. However, if he was hallucinating all of this, and this was not some kind of haunting, then part of him did. Part of him was paranoid, jealous, angry, still bitter. Part of him did not trust. That bothered him. Was he trying to keep himself from being happy? Or was his brain trying to tell him something? All he knew for certain was that he didn't want to know.

When Thana came nearer to him, he heard something about the Distillery. "Yeah, distillery..." he spoke absently. Then he looked up at her. "Sorry. Um, yes." He shook off the moment as best he could. At least he knew he was seeing things, and that those things weren't actually there. It would have to do. Ash took in a breath and slowly let it back out. In a steady voice, he responded further. "Thana, when we're done with this, it's best if I speak with Doc. Don't worry, I'm all here." He gave a warm smile. "I'd just feel better if I did. Come on, as soon as I load up these bricks, I'll show you to the Distillery. One of my personal happy places."

Ash really hoped this wasn't getting worse.

Black James(!)

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

James felt a sense of pride sweeping over him. It wasn't self-aggrandizing hubris more than a feeling that his little know of people, even if they all were jogging headlong into their own, immediate deaths, they were a unit acting for the interest of the group. They were coming together. He smiled a little more as he heard Beatrice's words, and offered some advice of his own.

"Fair 'nuff, Queen Bea. We all got a little dark in us, or we wouldn't still be breathin'. Understand, we gotta use it like a tool, okay? Take out that darkness when you need it, put that shit back on a shelf an' walk away when you don't. Can't let it eat ya, girl." He held out his hand to her. "Thanks, huh?"

Ryan and Gavin both got themselves ready in their own ways, Irish by making a light quip and Tex by assembling Alica's sniper rifle with gusto. It was the continuation of them getting settled in as a team. Four survivors that never would have been grouped together if the world hadn't turned itself inside-out, now setting off to a spot very nearby, greeting the unknown. It was at that moment that James heard the voice of a certain old man, growling out a warning. It intoned a sentiment about Alicia's rifle that James himself repeated out loud, agreeing with the seemingly spectral presence of Caesar, "Better be good to that gun, hombre!" he nearly verbatim repeated. Though it was creepy as hell to have both seen and heard the massively respected Mexican, James oddly took the whole incident remarkably well. It was like the veteran of a thousand battles was riding with them, lending moral support and filling James's spirit. So what if he was threatening? It's not like he was particularly cuddly when he was alive. And they were going to meet his niece. At least, that's what he figured, seeing as this mystery woman identified herself as the cousin of his daughter. Made sense.

At the sound of two thumps, James shifted the truck into drive and rolled slowly out of the warehouse. He stopped, giving Gavin a moment to secure the loading door behind them, and was off again as soon as he righted himself back in he truck bed. He didn't want to move too quickly, owing to the tall Texan standing in the back, though he did have a mind to get to this meet just up the road before the other party arrived. That little detail would be dependent upon a couple of factors, namely their means of transportation and how well they could navigate the little roadblocks that occurred naturally when there wasn't a thriving population to tend to the streets. The path that James & Gang took brought them around to the front of the warehouse, past the building containing the associated offices, and around to the private street in front of the complex. It was a mix of grey-topped road and packed gravel, level, steady, and even (for the most part).

The moment they cleared the treeline, James spotted their meeting place. It was the three-way intersection nearest the old Water Plant, chosen for its visibility to incoming traffic, multiple escape points by vehicle or by foot, and an arm of low evergreen foliage that jutted out from the main woods, providing both secrecy and soft cover while giving plenty of things underfoot to tip one off in case indelicate feet shambled nearby. Gavin might find a nice, cozy nook from which to give them cover in there. He brought the vehicle to a halt, speaking out of the window, "We gonna be over there, where the roads meet, 'kay? You got this!"

Grim reality set in with James as he slowly pulled into the intersection. With a smile, he proceeded to drive farther up and them back the truck down the street so that it appeared he came in from the southernmost roadway, just to throw them off a little in case they had to run. James reached for his Barret rifle, and pulled it out with him as he exited the Silverado's cab. He inspected the safety and chambered a round, then leaned it against his door, ready for easy use if necessary. He hoped not. He hoped this would all go smoothly and this lady was on the up-and-up. He dearly would have liked to meet more of Alicia's family. For the moment, he stood and waited.

Location: Closer to The Meet - IN A TANK

"Was that some kind of lesbian thing, Lola? Cause "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice..." Um... Well, you're not going to fool me twice, damnit." Thalia's end of the exchange was a joke, despite her general poor delivery. Her face didn't seem well suited for humor that didn't involve violence or extreme sarcasm. The attempt surprised even her, a little bit. Probably just nerves talking. Of course, what Lola proposed wasn't entirely out of left field. Her sexuality was a touch toward the fluid side, even though she was the type to check off "Hetero" when the census came around. It didn't stop her from extending a one-finger salute to her Kiwi friend before popping her seat back up to check the tank's optics.

There was a brief moment of awkward silence as Alexander blurted his own touch of humor. The situation was obviously tense, ad everyone seemed to be attempting some form of joviality to combat the tension. Thalia herself wasn't well suited for humor. "I wouldn't get my hopes up yet, Gramps. Between now and mealtime, lots can fuck up. Lots." It was the best she could muster at the moment. Thalia didn't know this guy; she had met him just a little bit ago and was now forced to deal with someone she wasn't sure about in what was going to be a very stressful, very unsure situation. If gunfire broke out, would he panic? Freeze? Would he turn on the two of them while she was out of the tank? "Fond is a stretch, Mugsy. I'll go for tolerate right now. Don't let us down, huh?"

She had wanted to say more to the man, mostly about dropping him off at Newnan like he was initially planning or something equally dismissive, but the changing terrain outside of the tank snatched her attention. "Keep going straight. Road's going to wind a little through trees, but from what I understand, you cannot miss the meet site. Three-way stop across from a Water Treatment Plant."

Alexander Polawski

Location: Also Closer To A Meeting

The relationship between Lola and Thalia had already been well-established, but he too had to question what Lola was notioning at. Not that he had against...people like that, but the initial thought of the two of them caused him to look away briefly, as if he didn't listen. And then it was the whole fling the less-than-sane Kiwi had with her beloved tank. People who treated their vehicles like that were either slightly mad, or had just grown attached to it because of past events.

In Lola's case, Alexander couldn't see the difference.

Alexander felt the silence after his own comment, partly regretting opening his mouth again. Lola's snickering was okay enough, but Thalia seemed dead serious about what he said. Though that came hardly as a surprise, seen as he had wasted his good first impression with her with the damned radio. But at least she was calling him by his new nickname, so that was something. "I'm fine with being tolerated these days, so okay. Mugsy promise to do his best to stay here and refrain from being annoying, for now." Alexander said with a serious voice, though his smile had returned at Thalia's nickname to him. Even if it wasn't meant positive, a nickname was mostly a sign of acknowledgement in some way or form. But for now, he returned to silence and simply waited for whatever was going to happen.

Jack Hudson

Location: Building F (The Newnans' House)

Jack smiled uneasily back at Tatiana. He really did like the name Sally James as well. It had a certain charm to it, one that he felt that his and Tatiana's kid would definitely live up to. It had plenty of potential for nicknames as well, in case the kid didn't like it. No, he felt uneasy because he hadn't told Tatiana what had happened yet. He had been so shaken over seeing Dick that he had forgotten that Tatiana and Ray didn't know. He wasn't sure how to break the news to them what had happened, but being direct was likely the best way to go about it.

Jack took in a deep breath, before looking directly at Tatiana, his eyes then moving over to Ray. He hesitated, hearing Ray mention his offer to babysit. "That'd be great," Jack said, mulling over the name Sal. He liked it, but Sally James was definitely his preference. If only they'd be so lucky as to get a little girl. But there was no point in delaying the inevitable - they had to know.

"Listen, uh, 'bout Miss Sally...She isn't hurtin' no more," Jack said quietly. "She's gone."

Beatrice Decker

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

She took James' hand, giving it a firm shake, before settling back in. She never let the darkness eat at her. If anything, she lived in harmony with it. There was no sense in trying to fight who you really were. It allowed her to survive. She would continue to use it when it suited her--bottling it away wasn't an option. There were things she had done in life that were despicable. Despite being on the side of the good guys (Newnan), that didn't mean that she was one of them.

Beatrice smirked at Ryan's comment. Sometimes, she wondered how the people of Newnan would've fared in the situations she and Ryan had been in. They were living sheltered lives in the apocalypse, but downtown and in the prisons, there wasn't much shelter to be had. She imagined that a good half of them would crumble and that the other half would discover an inner darkness that they didn't know existed. She continued thinking along these lines for a little while after they had started driving, but then she went to mostly observing their surroundings, taking in the lay of the land, as they continued to drive. It wouldn't be long now, she imagined, until they met the person on the other end of the phone.

Chloe & Ravi

Location: Building 6 (the Armory)

Chloe smirked a bit at the label on the bin Ravi was allowed to collect a knife from. She couldn't help but expect the man to protest, but Ravi was perfectly content with the choice of a knife. He preferred it to a gun. With a gun, he couldn't help but feel the weight of a person's life in his hands. A knife though, it had a variety of uses. It wasn't specifically designed to kill--at least in his opinion. "No protest? Alright, tough guy," Chloe commented, before heading over to the stack and grabbing one. "You know how to use this, right?"

"Not too different than a scalpel," Ravi replied cheerfully. He didn't seem too bothered by Riley's comment about Chloe being on the other side of the law. Lots of doctors ended up abusing substances. It was normal. Chloe rolled her eyes, not buying Ravi's insistence that he could use a knife. This was fantastic then. Her sister, a moody ginger, and a useless British doctor. What could possibly go wrong? She couldn't help but feel that they'd have a better chance if it was just her and Riley. She was skeptical that Niesha and Ravi would be safe outside of the walls.

Chloe then went to collect the other items that she'd need. She grabbed a pack and started to load it up with her personal weapons: a pocket knife and her pistol. She doubted she'd need any other weapons beyond that for a run. It had kept her alive for about three years. It should be able to handle a few hours tops outside of the walls of Newnan. She grabbed a flashlight as well, figuring that any place that kept embalming chemicals likely wouldn't be the most inviting and that they'd need something to light up the place with. Once she finished, she then headed over to Jim with her pack.

"This fine?" Chloe asked. She wanted to get this over with. She nodded a bit as Niesha left, with the girl explaining she'd meet them at the gates. She didn't see why the couldn't all walk over together but it was a mute point. There was no sense in arguing about it.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Building 6 (Armory)

Riley looked over towards Niesha and gave her a nod and smile. "See you there then." Riley said as she watched Niesha leaving the armory, though maybe going together would have been good. The girl did seem to be pretty shaken up, but then again pretty much everyone in Newnan was now at this point. She decided to grab a flashlight as well as a pack, she wasn't sure how dark it would be inside of the building that they were going to be going into. Riley eyed Ravi for a moment when he was instructed to go and grab a knife off of the stand that was marked for 'kids'. She tried to hold back a slight snicker, but from what she knew the guy wasn't fully vetted yet as far as she knew.

Ravi did seem to be an overly cheery person, and naïve she wasn't sure how he actually survived four years since the outbreak had happened. She decided to ask what exactly it was that they were getting, Riley knew that they were getting some kind of chemicals but she didn't know exactly what they were. "So what exactly are we gonna be grabbing, any specific names or labels that would be helpful." She then looked back over towards Jim see if she had approval to use what she had gathered.

Kristina Smith

Location: Graveyard

Kristina looked between Meghna and then Tiffany as they offered her and Amelia to go and see Tatiana, she then shook her head she wanted to get this done. And she didn't want to leave them shorthanded either, she looked at Amelia the girl seemed to be breaking down in front of everyone. "Why not at least sit down and try and take a few deep breaths at least." Kristina suggested looking at Amelia with a concerned look, she wasn't sure if Amelia was sad over Ms. Sally's death or if it was Riley going out onto a run. She reached out to help Amelia if she needed support.

"I'm pretty sure that Riley will make it back safely." Kris said softly as she tried to cheer her friend up, she really did wish that Amelia would go and see Tatiana and talk to her, she wasn't really sure what to do to try and make her friend feel better other then trying to reassure her. Kristina was going to miss Ms. Sally as well she considered the elderly woman as family like a lot of people from Newnan who helped her after her sister died. Kristina looked over at Tiffany and then Meghna for a moment, see if they would try and help Amelia to see Tatiana.

Meghna Kumar

Location: The Graveyard

Meghna could easily tell that Amelia wasn't handling this well looking over at Tiffany she was grateful for her to stay and help and simply talk to, and make her feel better. Kristina didn't seem to want to go either, she wished that she would go as well but also grateful for the help. Meg then turned her attention towards Amelia and then gently took the hoe away from Amelia and gave her a friendly and loving hug. "Hey listen Kris, Tiff and I got this. I really want to make sure you talk to Tati and you are alright right away." Meghna said. "I'll even help get you there as well."

Meghna was sure that Amelia wasn't going to off herself like Sana did earlier in the day, but she didn't want that to happen on her watch she would drag Amelia over to Tati's place if she had to. Meg didn't want to lose yet another friend today either, and she wouldn't be sure what would Riley do if something had happened to her. "C'mon I really need you to see Tatiana." Meghna said offering a hand to help Amelia, she really wasn't going to take no for an answer.

Raymond Mendoza

Location: Building F Tatiana & Jack's Home

Raymond looked over towards Jack and gave him a friendly smile, he couldn't leave the walls and go on runs like the others could if Tatiana or Jack did he could easily watch over the little one or if they did need sometime to themselves he could watch their kid as well. Raymond sat there looking at Jack seeing his body language, Raymond knew that something was up, and then Jack dropped another bombshell of the day. He leaned back in the seat and ran a hand through his hair, Raymond wasn't sure what to say exactly he looked over towards Tatiana to see her reaction.

"What happened exactly?" Raymond asked looking over towards Jack, Ray didn't get a good view on what had happened he assumed that she would be alright and pull through Froggy was a good doctor. Raymond then started to think about Tiffany as well, he was really missing her now and wanted to go and talk to her at this point and make sure that she was alright as well.

Gavin & Ryan

Location: The Meeting

Gavin chuckled a bit. "Shoot, I be treating her like I be treating any woman, like a damn queen,' the cowboy quipped as they made their way down the road. Ryan just smirked a bit, from the looks of things Gavin was the type of man to treat a gun like it was lover. He'd probably dress it up and take it out for dinner if there was a place that actually served food around here anymore. Outside of the mess hall inside the walls of Newnan that is.

Biting down on the tooth pick between his teeth Ryan looked down at the hairs that were wrapped around his fingers. He knew he was never going to see the inside of those walls again. Probably a good thing they had a wedding the night before and a lot of good food. It was going to be cans and scraping by until this this shit scene was taken care of and Eden was dealt with. Then, well he'd probably be worm food like the rest of them.

As the truck came to a stop Gavin hopped down and looked over towards James, a broad smile on his face. "Shit cracker, I more than got this," he said in a cocky voice as he gave the blackneck a wink. Pushing his curls out of his face he turned on the heels of his boots and made his way into the woods to take cover and get a good vantage point.

"I think he was dropped on his head as a child..." Ryan snarked a bit as he got comfortable and they took off towards the meeting location. Once they were there Ryan opened the passenger door and stood up. He kept the door open in case he needed cover and had the shotgun in his hand. "Wonder how much fucking longer till we see a face." Ryan didn't exactly like meeting up with people like this but he had James back.

The Irishman's question was going to be answered soon enough. Gavin found himself a nice little perch up in a line of trees. Took him a bit longer to get up on a good branch than he would have liked, too many years since he was a kid climbing everything he could but he managed none the less. Looking through the scope he got a good line of sight and his jaw went slack after a few minutes, the toothpick wobbling there on his bottom lip for a second before it fell to the slush below. "A tank!?!?!?" he thought to himself. Maybe he was going crazy, he had seen something earlier, something that obviously wasn't there. Maybe this tank wasn't there either. He thought that for about half a second until he heard it's gears and felt the rumble it put through the ground.

As the tank came into view for the others Ryan reflexively blinked. "I think we're gonna need a bigger gun..."

Thana Martin

Location: Agriculture: Storage (West Side between Inner and Outer Wall) -> Distillery (Building 8)

Thana looked over towards Ash and let out a breath. "Of course," she said, referring to Ash wanting to go talk to the doctor once they were done. At this point she wondered if she should just drop him off at the infirmary while she went on alone but opted instead to play it out by ear. They had a walk to the distillery, she could see how he did for a bit longer. He seemed to be holding things together but just barely. Maybe she needed to try to get his mind just off things in general.

"You know what..." she said as she set the things she was carrying down. "Just stop, we're going to do something different. Something to clear our heads," she said as she turned back to look at him. Draping her arms over his shoulders she pulled herself closer. A look coming over her features that was caring mixed with determination. "So much is happening in here, we need some fresh air. Some real air. Do something besides just what is expected to keep the town running. You don't seem to take down time. Last night I am betting was the first night you've taken off in a long damn time."

Looking up at him she ran her fingers over the back of his neck and gave him a faint smile. "So, let's gear up. We're going outside these damn walls. Clear our heads, maybe put down some defrosting roamers, maybe find some supplies. Doesn't matter. Just you and me, out there, cool day, warm sun, no one else."

Taking a breath she gave him a soft kiss before stepping back and righting her shoulders. "So, gear up. I'm going no matter what."

"Yeah, get you out there alone. Her man went out the walls, everyone's probably dead already. Probably waiting on her. Fucking set up..."

Lola Holler

Location: The Meeting

"Bwahahaha! Keep telling yourself that," Lola said laughing. At the one finger salute her friend gave her she just smirked. "Don't tease me sugar!" she purred before she burst out in laughter again and turned her eyes back to the road. Listening to Thalia and Alexander as she drove and taking the directions as they came. It wasn't long before they were close.

As they rounded the last corner Lola perked up, if that even was possible. "This had better be them," she giggled as she kept driving forward, pulling a lever here and there and making the gun cannon basically wave towards the people waiting at the meeting spot. Once she got within a football fields length in front of them she brought the tank to a halt and casually threw it into it's equivalent of park.

Getting up out of her seat she grabbed her weapon and walked over to the hatch. She figured that Thalia would want to be the one to pop her head out first but she would be damned if she let her best bud get her head shot off by some spotted dick right then. Even if Thalia didn't know how to operate the tank it made for hell of a bunker during heavy fire. Unlatching the hatch she flung it open and stuck a hand out, waving it towards the group.

"Hi!!!" she shouted before popping her head out of the tank and smiling. "What up?" she added as she climbed out and shouldered her gun, grinning manically towards the three she saw there.

Tatiana Korvo

Location: The Newnan's House (Building F)

Jim looked over at Riley after giving Niesha a wave. "About as good as I can be, sucks about everything. Hard day. Don't know if yesterday made it better or worse..." he said referring to the wedding.

"Makes it worse, so much fucking worse," a voice chimed in Chloe's mind, an all too familiar one.

Jim looked over what they had gathered and started making notes on it. "Yous call that a knife? Red Coat yous couldn't cut cold butter withs that." Another voice in another ear, this time Ravi's.

"Looks like you have everything you need. Just make sure to check everything back in when you get back," Jim said as he finished jotting things down before looking over those still in the armory with him. "Be careful out there."

Whatever strength and happiness Tatiana had been able to muster up to get through the day so far left her as she heard that Miss Sally was gone. It was like the wind went out of her sails and her face dropped. Her hand came to her lips as she took a step back and felt with her free hand for the edge of the couch. Her knees buckled slightly as she found the couch, seating herself without really even realizing it.

Miss Sally had been like a second mother to her since she arrived. Made her feel welcome in town and helped her get to know Victor so she could become the towns Counselor and Morale Officer. Hell Miss Sally has basically been a second mother grandmotherly figure to everyone in town. Even Richard had listened to Miss Sally. Today they had lost so much but loosing Miss Sally seemed to be the straw that broke the camels back and in that moment Tatiana broke down and started sobbing like she never had before.

Tiffany Lyle

Location: Outer Wall

Tiffany allowed Meg to take control of things. It would be for the best if Amelia got to talk to Tatiana. Kris too, but she felt confident that Kris could hold up a little better than Amelia, especially considering that people will be going on a run for funeral supplies. That left a pit in her own stomach as well, considering they just lost four people so quickly.

"Yeah, we can handle finishing this up. It will only make you feel better." Meg's insistence was noted and she wasn't about to back down. She would drag Amelia there kicking and screaming if she thought it would help. At this point, she didn't need to see more death.

Amelia Payne

Location: Graveyard

“I shouldn't...” Amelia quietly let out as Kris proposed to sit down. She couldn't sit down. Everyone had to work. There was no time to stop for a single person. She needed to help dig the graves. She needed to work and keep occupied. That said her hands did feel so incredibly weak and shacking right now. Whether or not Riley would make it back home intact indeed weighted on Amelia's mind and sanity like a massive boulder that was in the process of crushing her tender limbs.

“Ahhh...!” She tried to object when the hoe was pulled away from her hands with rather ease. For some reason she just didn't want to go see Tati. Mostly because she didn't want to worry anyone else with herself. That and the fact she wasn't sure what she'd talk about.” I... really shouldn't. Still work...” She tried to object, but NO was not being taken as an answer by Meg, Kris nor Tiffany it seemed. Finally she took Meg's hand to follow.” Alright, but... just for a little.” She added, still feeling her rebelling stomach. She felt like throwing up for since Riley left, but managed to hold it for now.

Niesha

Location Building six:Armoury

Niesha headed to the gates, looking down as she walked, her gear secured on her back, sighing softly to herself. She knew she could have waited for the others, but she wanted to get out of there, be by herself for a few moments. Being in the armoury… it suddenly made everything seem more real, and she didn’t want anyone to assume she wasn’t ready, wasn’t cut out for it… so she walked slowly towards the gates, and merely focused on breathing.

Going outside the wall shouldn't frighten her, yet it did. They might not get many walkers in here, yet… outside, it was different. And there were people to contend with. She supposed there were people to contend with in here, as well, yet no one really had proven to be a threat. Sure, James had attacked Richard, yet she was sure everyone in the community had wanted to attack him at one stage or another throughout the months living here. Richard just hadn’t been… any sort of decent person, and yet, he had been. This world… it did things to you. He’d lost someone important to him. Bound to make a dick even more of a dick.

She sighed heavily. Maybe people didn’t change. Maybe human nature simply wasn’t made to change. Maybe people were just set in their ways… and she stopped, her hands curling into fists. She wouldn’t believe that, because if it was true, it would mean that deep down, or maybe not so deep, she hadn’t became a better person. Perhaps it was simply… that people didn’t want to change. A different distinction. Didn’t want to, and unable to.

She let out a slow breath, and started walking again. She knew she’d came a long way, and she knew she still had a long way to go. And her thoughts had gotten off track, once more. Going outside… yes, it did frighten her. And there was always the chance of being bitten, or dying… but she had to come back. She had so much to do… and she’d promise Tatiana that she’d be her midwife, and she certainly wasn’t going to let her down.

She couldn’t control what happened though, could she? Suddenly her breaths came hard and fast, and she could feel her heart start to pump faster. Was she panicking? It suddenly felt like it. How long had it been since she’d truly had one of them? Years? Surely… not before the break out? And yet, she could remember those first few days, weeks, months, clearly, as she struggled along with others to fight, to find a way… to build a home… to continue when it all fell apart… There hadn’t been time to panic… maybe she’d been inside too long… apart from a few things, life inside the gates had been relatively quiet…

She closed her eyes, trying to imagine a slow opening and closing animation, drawing in her breaths and letting them out with each motion. Slowly, it worked and she soon began to walk once more. She’d been out there before. She could do it again. She would do it again. Simple as that. She was always hardest on herself… she imagined things where they weren’t… imagined people judging her, when they weren’t… She was stronger than she had been, when she’d been so close to breaking all those months ago.

Waiting at the gates, Niesha watched, waiting for the others, her thoughts following that troubled train. Maybe it was like that story… the little train that could. She could be a train. Slow and steady, right?

Or was that the tortoise and the hare?

She shook her head, positive thoughts, not these twisting, distracting thoughts that she recognised as simple rambling. I think I can. That was it. That’s what the little engine that could had said constantly. I think I can. I think I can. I think i can. Was that just a… story to tell kids to never give up, to keep on trying? Or was it the power of positive thinking, of wishful thinking? I think I can… i think I will come back… no.

I know we will come back. That was a lot more definite. She sighed softly, looking ahead for the others, shifting a little uneasily. At least she felt better. Like everything, it seemed that once she’d made her mind up, cemented it into her actions, then she just wanted to get going, get it done. At least none of them had seen the mini meltdown. That was something, at least.

She sighed, and waited.

Ash Holloway

Location: Agriculture: Storage (West Side between Inner and Outer Wall)

That voice. That voice was killing him inside. He had once trusted Alicia with his life. While she wasn't military in the strictest sense, the woman was trained by some of the most dangerous people he had ever personally heard of. He would have chosen her for a BlackOp over many seasoned combat veterans. If she had a weakness, it was that she was impulsive. Well, that and dead. So dead, in fact, that the voice in his head was either a haunting or a hallucination. While Cap'n Ash most certainly believed in corpses getting up and shambling about with an insatiable hunger for the living, it would take a little more convincing before he fully believed in ghosts.

So again, he was visited by the realization that this nagging, underlying distrust of the situation came from somewhere inside of him. This woman, Thana, did indeed hold a bit of sway with his emotions, what few he allowed to rise to the surface. There was a tense moment when that Texan professed his love to her, and it did feel like a chilled smack to his nethers. Thinking about it logically, unless that scene was planned purely for the sake of drama, it made zero sense. Such an act established a preexisting relationship between Gavin and Thana, and served to sow distance and possible mistrust between herself and Ash. No, unless this was a well orchestrated series of point and counterpoint, he doubted that this was a setup.

Plus, so much as the thought of harm coming to James galled him, he was exiled. There was nothing he could do, or should do for him, by his own decree. And he knew the direction they were traveling. If a horrible plot was afoot to kill James and take his collection of fine overalls, he would likely want to wait until they got access to the cache of supplies a mile or two to the south. Then Tex would have to deal with three very angsty and armed survivors. They really were survivors, too. Each one in their own way, with their own methods; one still spattered with flecks of blood from the man he'd just murdered.

Thana wanted to take a trip outside of the walls? No problem. Hell, it might actually do him some good, anyway. A little quiet time with his lady, a sort of a post-apocalyptic date.

It is not a logical assumption that this is a trap, Captain. Even if so, your death will not signal the end of Newnan. You control the location, you control the details. Bring insurance from outside threats.

Naturally, the voice of one of his greatest confidants and closest companions was spewing doubt, while the emotionless, narcissistic expression of self was a welcome experience. Life was really strange sometimes. And maybe, just maybe, Thana had a good point. Ash sighed, giving her a quiet smile. She was quite an affectionate woman in private, a vast contrast to the icy exterior she showed around others. His lips were still warm with her kiss as he slowly responded, "You know, there was a place I had been meaning to scout. Determine feasibility for sending in a supply team. It's about six miles out and I've been looking for an excuse to drive my 'Buster farther than the outer wall."

He nodded in the general direction of his house (well, their house, unless she chose other accommodation), "Yeah. Lets gear up. You need a gun?" Ash moved toward the door and held it open for Thana to exit unhindered.

Location: The Meet - IN A TANK

Thalia had to admit, for his faults, Alexander was making a solid attempt to diffuse a tense situation with humor and otherwise stay out of the way. She might have given this credit aloud if she didn't find the whole attempt annoying as hell, but it was something. Silence remained the more sincere compliment she was willing to give at the moment, despite the fact that the guy had basically volunteered to come along on what might turn into a firefight.

Even Lola, for her faults, had proven to be a selfless friend despite her suggestive conversation and general tit-busting. She required no prompting to make this meet, not even a request was necessary. That was the thing that needed to be done to make Thalia's life easier, and she just jumped to it. Lola had earned her loyalty, period. Thalia even imagined that she would act the same way without the benefits that her tank provided her, though those were hefty benefits.

As they pulled up to the scene in question, Thalia examined their surroundings through the turret's optics. The place was mostly open ground, but there were dense trees nearby that could conceal additional manpower or hide a determined rifleman, ditto the abandoned Water Treatment Plant that loomed back from the side of the road. The roads looked clear, too, except for the large, black truck dominating the center of one of the joining roads across from them. She didn't like it too much. Lots of potential for someone with time to set the scene. The tank was formidable, enough so to scare off a number of human threats and enough to protect from all but the most massive of firepower. Just as soon as they left it, all bets were off. Truth be told, she'd rather be among them than across a distance. She was so much better up close, and proximity to the opposition (if indeed they proved themselves to be opposition) limited the effectiveness of ranged attack. She just needed to close the distance with something sharp. Calmly. Strategically. Carefully. Then Lola happened.

"Alright guys, sit tight, I've got thi... the fuck, Lola?" Thalia's briefing was waylaid by the overly impulsive Kiwi's simultaneous eruption from the safety of the driver's seat. Knowing Lola, she should have prepared for this. Anything less was stupidity on her part. Unless Thalia was busy knocking on the back of her friend's helmet while she was tied to her seat, coupled with Thalia screaming her intentions in a blaring Cockney accent through a megaphone directly into her ear, the unapologetic Sergeant L. R. Holler was going to do her thing, concerns for her safety be damned. Even then, it would have been some form of good-natured dismissal, only delaying her by a second or two. Like her tank, she was just going to keep moving forward.

It was too far of a walk. They were exposed to fire for an unsurvivable amount of time, having to walk all that way to meet these people. "Damnit, girl..." she growled, grabbing her satphone and shoving open the turret hatch. It was just like her to take point and try to catch the first bullet of the season. No, no. Without her, they were caught in that big, steel can for an indeterminate time until they starved to death or someone saw fit to stack logs around them and roast them alive. If they proved hostile, anyway. Sure, Thalia had seen the basic controls that Lola used to get the thing rolling, but the odds were clearly in favor of her driving the machine into a ditch. Or a lake. Or off a cliff.

Thalia climbed out of the tank and left the hatch open, in case she needed a fast re-entry. For the sake of speed and appearance, she left her primitive spear behind. If a melee was really warranted, the handle of her machete was visible from beneath the back of her jacket. Rather than admonish Lola for dangerously impulsive behavior (like she really wanted to), Thalia instead shot her a concerned, "What the Hell" look. Solidarity within the group must be maintained with initial contact of new people. To do otherwise implied weakness that might be exploited. She held one hand open and to her side, the other with her phone held out and in plain view.

After a scan of their surroundings to make sure there were no Zeds in the immediate area, Thalia began walking toward the truck, arms still outstretched.

Black James(!)

Location: The Meet (Three-way intersection near the Hershall Norred Water Plant)

The Apocalypse had led James to see many things he figured a sane person would never actually speak about out loud. Yet somehow, the low rumbling and machinery sounds of an approaching TANK was one of the more memorable things he figured he would experience in this day and age, ranking right up there with the first time he saw Ash's Hordebuster perform its namesake action, mowing through a sea of walking corpses. (That was art.)

Then he could see it, cresting the line of trees around the last curve of road before the intersection. It was a goddamned tank. No two ways about it. It was pretty unmistakable. Ryan's interjection and simultaneous JAWS reference did not go unnoticed. If things turned ugly, they would indeed need a bigger gun. James looked down to his Barrett M107. It was a formidable piece of hardware, but he stood highly unsure that even that miracle of military hardware would be enough. James returned his eyes to the massive piece of armor ambling up the road toward them, mouth agape. "Ain't meanin' to play up a stereotype, Irish, but Good Googly Moogly." Then the tank's main cannon waved at them, as if in greeting. "Yeah, we gonna need a bigger gun." The sudden whack-a-mole style pop up and subsequent greeting of its driver didn't help settle his nerves much, either.

Then a dark-haired young lady seemed to fling herself from the tank and take point, arms to her sides. If his vision wasn't dimming with his approaching middle years, James could have sword that she was holding a piece of personal electronics. Probably the satellite phone that she had called from earlier. It would serve as proof that these were the people they had come to meet. James slung his rifle over his shoulder and picked up his own satellite phone. Looking back to his companions, he said flatly, "Might as well get this done. I'll be just over there.' he motioned to the middle of the intersection a few meters away. The fact that they decided to park the tank a football field away from the meeting place was their concern, not his. And James wasn't about to do something stupid like ruin Gavin's line of sight. "Y'all wanna stay with the truck, fine. I'll be in hearin' distance. Tex got us covered." He could not account for the presence of the tank and who might still be inside, finger on the trigger of the cannon that might rain fire upon them at any moment. Perhaps that was the reason they stayed so far back.

While James would have been more comfortable with their vehicle being closer to the intersection, he could only assume that they would likewise have their own reservations about the upcoming Meet & Greet. Nonetheless, James stepped forward, directly into the center of the blacktop where the three roads converged, waiting for them to complete their approach.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Building 6 (Armory)

"We all needed a little bit of a day to just all rest and enjoy something for once. Even if today has been a total and complete shit show so far." Riley said, as she started to grab all of her things and slung her pack over her back and then her crossbow over her shoulders. She gave Chloe a friendly smile. "See you at the rear gate. And i'll see you when we all get back Jim." Riley said giving Jim a nod knowing the protocol by now, Riley gave Ravi a hard pat across the back before leaving the armory and started to make her way towards the rear gate.

Riley slowly ran a hand through her hair as she looked over her shoulder wondering where Amelia was, she thought about going back to her and say goodbye one last time before leaving. But decided against it, blushing slightly to herself as she remembered their kiss from the night before and actually sharing a bed together. She was determined to make sure that everyone that was on this run would all make it back in one piece. As Riley made her way to the Franklin wall, she continued to walk until she was finally at the last gate seeing Niesha there waiting by the gate.

"So are you holding up?" Riley finally asked as she took off her pack setting it down on the floor, figuring it would be a few minutes before Chloe and the new guy came out. Riley turned her attention back towards Niesha gently giving her shoulder a friendly squeeze.

Meghna Kumar

Location: The Graveyard

"I'll be back in a few minutes okay?" Meghna said as she felt slightly bad that she was practically forcing Amelia away, but she needed to make sure that her friend was alright gently resting a hand on Amelia's shoulder. "It wont take that long." Riley said trying her best to reassure her as they made their way up the road. Meghna took out her radio, she wasn't sure if Tatiana was busy in a session now or not, but figured that she check in with her first before sending Amelia in. "Hey Tati, are you busy at the moment?" Meghna finally asked through the radio, waiting for a reply her attention turned back towards Amelia.

She decided to try and change the subject for. "So tell me more about you and Riley?" Meghna asked, it probably wasn't the best subject at the moment since Riley was out on a run for the supplies. Meghna gently rubbed Amelia's back in a comforting way giving her a friendly smile as they walked over towards Tatiana's place.

Kristina Smith

Location: Graveyard

Kristina watched as Meghna helped escorted Amelia away looking over at Tiffany, it was now just the two of them now to continue to dig away at the graves. She had made some progress as she turned her attention back towards digging the hole, whipping a little bit of sweat away as she continued to dig the grave. She really wasn't sure what to actually talk about, Kris was still trying to process James leaving and now Miss Sally dying as well.

Kristina eventually sighed as she set down the shovel, she needed a little bit of a break now as she eyed her sister's grave that was just a few feet away. She sat down and took a deep breath, Kristina didn't want to go and talk to Tatiana just yet or disturb her right now she was probably way to busy as well as Ray.

Raymond Mendoza

Location: Building F Tatiana & Jack's Home

Raymond watched as Tatiana suddenly sat down after the news that Miss. Sally was now dead, he still couldn't believe it either as he slowly got up from his seat and moved over to sit down next to her. She was practically family for just about everyone in Newnan, he remembered her little gift she had given him the day before the wedding. Looking down at them, it was something that he would always remember from her.

Raymond gently did his best to try and comfort her, Jack was there as well figuring that he would be the best one to do it being that they were the married couple and all. Ray's mind then started to wonder off and think about Tiffany, he always felt very comfortable talking with her and everything seemed to be better when he was around her. Then he heard Tatiana's radio going off, looking over at her for a moment. "Want me to take it for you?" Raymond offered Tatiana.

Tiffany Lyle

Location: Outer Wall

Tiffany watched Meg lead Amelia away. It was for the best. This type of thing could be very damaging to the psyche and Tatiana seemed like a good person to talk to. That left her and Kristina to tend to the graves. Thankfully, they made considerable progress, but still had a bit left to do. She started working on the one Meg and she was doing.

After a bit, Kris stopped. It didn't hit her until then, but Kris was probably one of the most affected here as well. After all, she lost someone close to her. Tiffany felt silly for not bringing that up. Still, the fact Kris even offered to help in the first place showed she was made of tougher material than most. Still, it wouldn't hurt to ask. "A break seems justified, all things considered. You doing ok with everything?"

Alexander Polawski

Location:The Meeting

Silence. Well it was something else than Thalia's sarcastic comment earlier, so who was Alexander to complain. He took what he got, and the fact that he was inside the tank was more than enough him. But Alexander, who tried to re-enter the silence put upon by Thalia, instead began to think. Not of anything in particular, just something that stuck out to him in what she had said. The face of the old soldier went from a sterner look, though still with his smile in place, to a grin.

"Hmhmhmhm, hehe...Sounded just like Bush Jr." Alexander whispered to himself, remembering that one time President Bush had goofed up the phrase 'Fools me once'. Even if he had been a goof, Alexander still missed him, or the time when he was president. Less Walkers back then.

Something less goofy to laugh about was the fact that Lola seemed to botch whatever plan Thalia had made, and suddenly decided to be the first one out of the tank. And Thalia didn't seem to like it, taking her reaction into consideration. Alexander too asked "...the fuck indeed...", before popping his head up out of the hatch after Thalia. He saw the same people as the Dynamic Duo, watching Thalia eventually jumping off the tank and walking towards the group of people.

Alexander decided to remain in the tank, seating himself in the hatch so that he could quickly crouch back into the bucket of bolts. Not that he had ever driven a tank for real, but he knew a few things. "So Lola, if shit hits the fan, is this thing armed?"

Gavin, Ryan, & Lola

Location: The Meeting

"Well slap me ass and call me Sally," Gavin muttered to himself as he watched the tanks lid pop open and a bleach blonde thin woman pop right out like a whack a mole. He wasn't sure what to think and couldn't hear them but through his scope it didn't seem like she was being hostile. Then another woman popped out, this time with dark hair. Two women driving a tank through the end of the world? Now he had seen everything.

Ryan was just about as flabbergasted as Gavin was as he stood there. As James went towards the tank to talk he stayed right the fuck where he was. His hand on his gun. Not that he thought it could do a damn thing about the tank but hey there were two warm bodies without armor right now. Those his gun could handle but he had a feeling that old Tex-ass would get off a shot before he did. Still he wasn't taking a step closer.

Lola looked over towards Thalia and smirked a bit. "What?" she said mocking her friend before grinning widely. "Aww don't you be worrying gramps. My baby is all that and a bad of devils. We will be fine. Trust me!" she giggled before climbing fully out of the tank and hopping down onto the ground, her boots crunching in the snow. This woman either had no fear or was a loon from what Gavin was watching.

"Hey, which one of you is the spotted dick we were speaking to on the phone?" she called out as she looked at James and then her eyes darted towards the other two at the truck. "Come on! Which one? I got places to go. Gotta get my nails done and pick up my dry cleaning from Eaters Cleaning down off 85," she said with a psychotic chuckle.

"Fucking hell, Aussie there done lost her mind," Ryan said a little louder than he meant to.

"Hey! I ain't an Aussie! I am a mother fucking Kiwi!"

Thana Martin

Location: Agriculture: Storage (West Side between Inner and Outer Wall) -> Home (Building A)

Thana looked over to Ash and cocked a brow. "Well I already have one," she said as she patted the side arm on her hip. "But if we are going on a full run, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have another and some spare clips," she said as she left the storage building in Agriculture. Heading back in the direction of their home instead of the distillery. Plans had changed and while she needed to get this work done it could be put off for the evening. Especially considering it would probably be a good idea to get Ash outside of the walls and facing real life threats instead of whatever he had heard or seen in his head. Maybe it would help clear his mind. She could only hope.

Once they made it back to the house she unlocked the door with the key and stepped inside. "I will grab my bag, I have a spare clip in it. And my knife," she said before moving down the hallway. She had stowed her gear in a closet that morning, in the room where she had changed the day before. She just wanted it out from under foot and didn't want to leave her things laying about for someone to trip over.

Checking her clip she shoved it in her pocket and gabbed her knife. She needed to sharpen it when she got a chance but it was still in good enough condition not to worry about it at this point. It couldn't cut silk but it could still cut through flesh and rotting bones. It would do. She was just about to shove her pack back into the closet before she thought better of it and grabbed her rope from it. She didn't know what she might need it for but hell, never know. Now that she was ready, well as ready as she thought she needed to be, she put her pack back and closed the closet door.

Moving out of the room she headed back down the hallway and glanced around. "Hey, Captain Tight Pants, ready when you are," she called out as she leaned against the wall by the door and waited for Ash to join her. The sooner she got him out of town the better. The man didn't need to constantly be reminded of everyone that died that day right now. He needed a breather. She just hoped that with everything going wrong right now something else wouldn't go wrong while they were gone to them or to the town. It could just make shit that much worse.
