"Yes! Okay! I am good! Nothing wrong!" the panicked Midori had quickly babbled. Thankfully, the two girls had given Midori enough time to come to terms with the situation. After hearing Hisano introduce herself, Midori was relieved. Her attempt at making friends was not for naught! Taking some more time to calm down, she reached down to pick up the large bag of lunch boxes. Parsing out everything Hisano said, Midori quickly constructed a multi-stage game plan to reply and try to bring the person who bumped into her into the conversation. From there, she could make two new friends! Two stones with one bird, as the old saying goes.
"Yup! Shark fact! Sharks can drown when they are pulled backwards! My mum told me to just talk about what I know and well I know sharks..." She had said, her voice quieting to practically a whisper at the end. Midori was embarrassed. However, her plan wasn't going to fail. No matter what, she was going to make some friends. Almost instantly resetting from her embarrassment, she turned to the person who bumped into her.
âIâm Yoshiba Mizuhana.â She responded in turn, introducing herself to the boy who attempted to engage with her. âUse whatever honorifics you want, if thatâs your thing.â
The blue-haired girlâs introduction was as friendly as could be expected, though there was a certain thought brewing in her head and her hairâs movements indicated her mood as much as it had before, âlookingâ in the direction of Watanamiya Rikuo as it laid on Yoshibaâs leftmost shoulder. This apparently curiosity entirely based on the words that Rikuo chose; specifically a certain word.
Fun?
Rikuoâs comment was something that Yoshiba couldnât understand. Did he think being a hero was fun? Did he think that sacrificing yourself in the name of heroism and the public community was fun? Did he think the consequences of being abandoned for several years was fun? Her expression remained cold as she looked at him, contemplating how to deride or comment on his statements. She didnât want another situation where the assortment of sidekicks behind her wanted to argue about how their feelings were hurt or how her comments were âunacceptableââshe didnât have the time or patience for such things, after allâbut she didnât just want to accept his comments flat out like they were okay either.
With a raised brow she stated this in her way. âYou think weâre here to have fun?â

"B-But they could have! Th-They looked ready to f-finish each other off or something..." Misaki murmured before falling silent and just nodding quickly, whispering a faint 'thank you' afterwards. Although it would have been rather amusing to see a little kid fight someone like Kyoji , Misaki didn't want to see anyone get hurt.
As Misaki's question about earning friendship lingered in the air, the merman couldn't help by tilt his head as the other appeared to be thinking. Did it really take that long to answer? Misaki furrowed his brows as he felt as if he was about to learn about the meaning of life with how the other was taking his time to think about his words. The ombre haired boy let out a gasp as Zentaro ran a hand through his pink hair, now staring at him with intense eyes, practically forcing Misaki to lean back a little, intimidating. The anticipation was killing him!
He couldn't help but slouch a little when the other mentioned his timid nature. It was something he couldn't help, nor did he think he could fix it. Hearing that Zentaro wouldn't deny his vague offering of friendship, Misaki smiled meekly, glad that he at least had a chance to prove that he could be equals with Zentaro. They ironically had a lot in common: they both wanted to be better than they were now, expected those around them to do the same, and were both pretty awkward around other people. It was rather reassuring to have someone to relate to, despite the both of them looking so different in comparison. As Zentaro flashed a pretty intimidating smile his way, Misaki couldn't help but stifle a quick giggle at how silly his normally stoic face currently looked. "D-Don't worry! I expect the same! W-We could make each other better and s-stuff! We could t-train together, h-hang out, d-do homework t-together, and l-lots more!" Misaki clapped his hands together at the thought, sighing softly in anticipation. Never really having any friends, Misaki was more than interested to do all the things he saw other people at school do with Zentaro and even Kyoji.
When asked if these conditions were acceptable, Misaki almost jumped out of his seat as he threw his hands up in the air. "Y-You bet!" He grinned before taking a quick glance at the front of the assembly hall. There still wasn't anyone up there, so Misaki decided to continue the conversation by asking an age old question. "S-So what's your quirk, Kobashigawa?" He asked, giving the other a charming, but warm, smile.

Yoshiba Mizuhana huh? Well, since she did give him permission to use whatever honorific he wanted, he figured that simply calling her by her first name would be fine. Besides, Mizuhana was a mouthful compared to her first name. Maybe after a while, he could shorten it further to 'Yoshi'. But that was for another time, when they've established that they are actually friends. Rikuo had learned that calling people with nicknames using their actual names might make them hit you, get embarrassed and not be your friend anymore. It was quite the event when that happened. He had to say sorry so many times before she finally forgave him. Though, it isn't to say it wasn't worth it. She did become him best friend - and often teased her about how she was so sensitive about the name he had given her when they first met. It mostly ended with her punching him in the gut or something. Quite unfortunate really.
Rikuo was snapped out of his thoughts when Yoshiba asked him something. He was caught off guard by the question as he expected for her not to hear him somehow, or just not pay attention to him at all. "Well yeah. This might be a hero school, and being a hero is serious business and all, but what's stopping us from actually having fun?" He replied. He then let his eyes wander as he began thinking of something else to add to his thought. She seemed bemused about the fact that he mentioned having fun. That was weird. Wasn't she around his age? They were teenagers! They lived for fun! He then rubbed the back of his head and continued, "Okay, it's like this. I enjoy learning about certain things, and I also like making new friends, and I like helping people. So I'm looking forward to doing those and have fun while I'm doing it."
May not be the best explanation out there, but it was the best one he could put forward. Rikuo only then noticed that her hair had moved - as if it was looking at him directly. Right, that was her quirk wasn't it? Though now that he was actually fully paying attention to her, it didn't seem like bemusement - but general curiosity? Was having fun really that alien to her? Or was having fun while risking their lives for someone else an alien concept? He wasn't sure which was which - but he had to admit that the latter one seemed like a weird thing to think about. He then cocked his head to the side, showing the fact that he wasn't sure what she was being skeptic of.
Despite his clumsy words, some degree of them did make some sense to her, and whilst Yoshiba didnât really âhave funâ like other teenagers she did understand the concept. Still it was amusing to hear that Watanamiya Rikuo had fun through being a hero and studying to become one. Despite him being an insignificant threat to her place as the top hero at Chihaiten Academy, his ambitions seemed at least tolerable, even if Yoshiba did not find anything about hero academies fun herself. Then again, everything was serious to Mizuhana Yoshiba.
âFair enough.â She commented, as she moved her eyes to check on the platform in the front of the ceremony hall. Were they any closer to starting and ushering them along to somewhere more important and useful like a classroom or training field? She sighed, âThey sure are taking their time, huh.â
When entering the building and taking notice of all the fellow students filing in, Vincent quickly created a portal to his side and stepped through and appeared next to the very first seat. He quickly sat down and created a smaller portal as he reached his arm through and blindly felt around. The air was cold but it wasn't surprising since his hands were inside his refrigerator as he grabbed a small bottle of water and pulled it through the rift and started drinking it as the portal closed.
Vincent peeked around looking at his fellow students seeing many of them in the middle of conversations about uninteresting things. Some wore smiles on their faces and carried their feelings on their sleeves, while others seemed somewhat reserved. Vincent continued to watch his students and any random faculty members that he got his eyes on. He had already showed his quirk so the was no secret to what he could do. He saw it as a way of giving himself a handicap in case there were any future falling outs with any of them. Vincent was rather shameless and didn't care what he had to do to win, but he decided that he would never be an easy target again and decided to learn what he could about his fellow students and be extremely careful where he would place his trust.
"... Well whatever was the possible outcome it didn't come to pass, so I think we can stop dwelling on the possibilities." Zentaro said flatly. Not bluntly or with any intensity, they have already dwelled upon on this topic far too long. Misaki clearly has anxiety about possible outcomes that could've transpired. Zentaro has suppressed such silly worries since such worries does nothing but slow you down and make you lose focus of the current time. If Misaki is gonna be his equals he needs help with his anxiety, that will take some time but it should be possible.
Does his smile look strange?
Zentaro thought as Misaki giggled at his smile. Might just be shock, since even Zentaro himself is not used to smiling so seeing someone as stoic and great as himself showing such a expression might be jarring and inhumane for Misaki's timid nature. They both should used to it. Okay, that was an admittedly a very gross sentimental thought just now. He's getting all gross and weird. Cool it, Zentaro.
Good, he understands.
Zentaro thought as he nodded along to Misaki's plans. Some of them were a bit gross sounding by how sentimental they were but he got the general idea down. But even Zentaro was surprised by Misaki's next action which was to jump out of his seat and shoot his hands up in the air. Zentaro looked at him weirdly for a second but just nodded and ... was that a hint of excitement he just felt, gross, Zentaro even felt the corner of his lips twitched upwards for a second... How pathetic. But maybe this is how friendship is supposed to feel like. God he hates it.
"Glad to hear it, we are now officially friends." Zentaro spoke bluntly and it sounded a bit strange for him to say he has a friend. He never really had friends, he knew how its supposed to work and that friendship was supposed to improve you but he never got anyone to endure him... No, he meant he didn't want it until now. Yes, that's what he meant.
And there's the first question of their friendship. What's his quirk.
Zentaro was finding the words to explain it. It didn't take too long not as long as it took him to answer the friendship question. "I have a mutation type quirk like you even if its not as visible as your's." Zentaro started. "My quirk is 'Kinetic Energy Absorption' which means the more kinetic energy I give or take the stronger I get." Zentaro said while he had his thumb on his chin thoughtfully. "I can either counter attacks strikes with equal or greater kinetic force though a punch or I can use the kinetic energy from the strike to boost my own strength, durability, and speed. The Strongest I ever got with my quirk is roughly 10 times my normal capabilities." Zentaro spoke about of his quirk with clarity.
While on paper it sounds like a very useful and powerful quirk, and when its set up it is but it has a ton of issues and this is why Zentaro is always looking for ways to improve himself since his quirk is as good as he can get it, he just need to improve his base levels so that the added base also adds to his modifiers.
"So that's the basics of my quirk I can go into more detail later, but I'm curious about your quirk as well." Zentaro asked, he was admittedly curious about the boy's quirk. Was it just fish parts or was there more to it? He hoed there was more to it.
"My... my name?" Noah asked, feeling like he needed conformation that that was what the green-haired girl wanted to know, "I was just about to ask you for yours, but... since you beat me to it, I..."
Noah rubbed the back of his neck, and hung his head as though that would hide the obvious blush on his face. He looked up at the green-haired girl without re-positioning his head, and then looked over at the significantly taller girl that had accompanied her. He had no idea what kind of judgment they'd pass on his first impressions, and a part of him really didn't want to know. In all honesty, it had taken almost all the bravery Noah even had to give just to try and talk to these two girls. They were girls, after all; neither was the most attractive, nor could they even be considered attractive for the typical male, but they were girls nonetheless. Sure enough, however...
"Noah. Acosta Noah," he didn't know if he said it the way it was meant to be said, and doing it in the way James Bond would didn't build his confidence in that regard, but Noah owned his introduction, a light smile carving its way on his face and he raised his head again and met their gaze, "It's an honor to meet you."
He was surprised he was able to say everything in Japanese still. True, he avoided the words he didn't know how to actually say in said language up until this point, but it was a good start for Noah. He apologized, he asked if someone was OK and he'd introduced himself. For someone as bad at Japanese as him of all people, he'd come a long way. He could only hope his current grasp of the language wouldn't fail him later.

Rikuo's smile turned into a grin as she seemed to accept his invitation. It was something of a personal achievement - though why exactly he felt that way, he didn't really understand. Perhaps it was because this girl beside him didn't exactly seem like the type of person to joke around. She seemed like the serious type of girl. He knows of a couple of people like her, but he doesn't mind having friends like that. In fact, he was pretty grateful for them since they usually kept him from doing something extremely stupid. Like that one time when he was thinking about getting hit by lightning and see if he can find out how fast he can go. One of his good friends, who was the most sensible out of them, managed to successfully stop him from trying, reasoning that it wasn't exactly the best idea and then told him that he should just stay within the limits of artificial electricity - just to be safe.
He looked over to the stage when Yoshiba mentioned it. Like she said, there still wasn't anyone there to introduce themselves or the school. "There must have been some kind of problem." He replied with a shrug. It was kind of odd that this was happening. Usually, teachers were on time so that it wouldn't reflect badly on them. He began tapping his leg, out of boredom. Like her, he wanted to actually do something aside from sitting down. Even if he was a conditional speedster, he liked to do things quick and fast. It's not like he felt that this was a complete waste of time - but it would be better if he was moving or was able to do something else. Heck, he was already itching to take out a his portable gaming console in his pocket - but it might get confiscated. "I wanna go on the tour... or whatever comes next to be honest." He admitted to his seatmate. He wasn't actually the type of person to sit down through an entire speech without at least once nodding off... or talking to the person in front of him, to the side, or sometimes to the back.
"Come on wake up!!" "Yeah, wake up already!!" "Wake up, wake up wake up!!!" "You're going to be late!!" It was this chorus of young voices that Al was awoken to. It wouldn't have been so bad if the chanting wasn't accompanied by an onslaught of tiny hands and feet pelting his massive frame. "Alright, alright, I'm awake, I'm awake!! The once slumbering giant said as he let out a hearty laugh and sat up from his bed. Wiping the sleep from his eyes Al was greeted with the site of a half dozen of his foster brothers and sisters all still clambering all over his bed, their excitement practically resonating off of them. "How are you going to sleep in on your first day of hero school!?!" One them exclaimed, throwing his hands up in exasperation. Al couldn't help but chuckle as he climbed out of bed, stretching as he did so. "Miko, I still have hours before I have to be at the academy." Al said softly, patting the boy know as Miko on the head. The rest of the group started chiming in with similar statements not long after, all along the lines of them being worried that Al won't make it on time for school and would end up loosing his chance of attending the academe. "Guys, guys like I said I have hours before I have to show up. Besides if I had left already who would make you all pancakes?" Al said with a playful raise of his brow and opening the door to his room, the last part of his statement getting a cheer from the kids who then bolted out of the room and towards the kitchen.
A few minutes later Al found himself covered and coated in pancake batter as he finished up the last batch, victoriously flipping them onto the stack that stood next to him on the counter. "Alright gang, batters up!!" He said with a practical earth shaking laugh at his own joke, which was only matched by the collective groans from all of his foster siblings who were sitting at the table. Once he was able to recover from his own hilarity Al began dishing out the pancakes, which created a cacophony of squeals and cheers from the kids. Once he had placed the last flapjack Al took a seat at the table and began wiping some of the batter off of himself using the floral print apron he was wearing. He couldn't help but dawn a small smile as he watched the children eat, this was one of his favorite parts of the day, but it was a bitter sweet moment for him seeing as it would be quite some time before he would get to do it again. Al wanted nothing more than to go to Chihaiten, but it meant that he was going to miss out on moments like this. Luckily Al was able to push those melancholy feelings aside and enjoy the now, though the extra large pancake he left for himself may have also had a role in that.
It wasn't too long after that they all finished their meals and Al had the kids go wash up and change for school, like always it his request was answered with a collective grimace but was done none the less. Al himself washed the dishes and changed himself into a much more presentable attire, though he himself may have preferred his apron. He waited by the front door as his siblings one by one emerged from their rooms dressed in their school uniforms. "Come on guys, don't want to be late do we?" He said just in time to have his last sibling join the rest of the group. With a huge grin he ushered them out of the house and began walking them down the street to their school, though that was easier said than done seeing as half of his siblings were using him as a jungle gym while the others were racing each other to the four corners of the earth, al couldn't help but let out a lite sigh. He managed to wrangle the children well enough to get them to the entrance of their school. Al then freed himself from his siblings death-grips and got down on one knee to be at eye level. "Okay guys you know I won't be home for awhile so you are going to have to be extra nice to Miss Hanami alright?" He said before he opened his arms wide which prompted an almost stamped level of hugs from the kids. "And don't worry I will tell all the teachers I meet that you guys are going to be the next great hero students to come to the school." He added, tightening his hug slightly before releasing the kids. He watched them walk into a school house, giving his youngest sister a reassuring wave when she turned around to him on final time. "Don't worry, what could possibly go wrong?"
-------------------------------
"CRAP! CRAP! CRAP! CRAP! CRAP!" Al stammered aloud as he launched himself out of the bus he had been riding for the past few hours. It turns out that his siblings were right about him running late on his first day of school, much to his dismay. The combination of him double checking his packing, cleaning up his room, and a rather teary eyed good bye to his foster mother Miss Hanami Al found himself a bit behind schedule. All of this was only worsened by the fact that his bus was caught up in some of the worst traffic that the lad had ever seen. Al couldn't help but mentally kick himself as he bobbed and weaved through the crowd of people that cluttered the streets. "SORRY!! EXCUSE ME!! PARDON ME!! ICE WILL HELP WITH THAT!!! He exclaimed as his bulky form caused him to bump and clash with a whole plethora of people as he hurried his way through the crowd. The young man's practical bulldozing of the general public though eventually paid off as he ended up right at the entrance point of the up and coming Chihaiten Academy. Though Al's excitement was barely contained he wasn't done yet, he had to actually figure out where he was suppose to be. Luckily for him he was able to catch the tail end of some students heading into what he assumed was an auditorium. That was good enough for Al and it wasn't even a moment later that he rocketed himself into the room. He was meet by the sight of rows upon rows of other students all chatting and by the looks of it he hadn't missed anything. "YES, I MADE IT!!" He exclaimed before he threw his arms into the air in victory. "WOOHOO!!" He bellowed before he dawned a giant grin on his face and began searching for a seat.

Misaki listened attentively as Zentaro went on to talk about his quirk. Kinetic Energy Absorption huh...The merman couldn't help but 'ooo' and 'ahhh' at the other's quirk and what he could do. In Misaki's eyes, such a quirk was basically a dream come true! Being able to absorb kinetic energy from others and use it against them...making yourself stronger? Basically everything Miskai dreamed of! "W-Wow...that's so cool! I-I wish I had something like that..." He whispered, a bit of envy mixing into his already green eyes.
When asked about his own quirk, Misaki looked to Zentaro disappointingly before holding out his arm in front of him. "My q-quirk...um, it's called Merman, Liquification. I got both of my parents quirks. My mom looks just like me and is a m-mermaid. I-I'm able to swim really fast, breath underwater, and do basically do everything a-a merman could d-do." Misaki began, staring at his fins, almost curiously, before smiling sheepishly and continuing. "As for my dad, he could...turn into water.." The boy kept hit simple as he decided to just show it instead. With little hesitation, Misaki glared at his hand, causing it to ripple like water and eventually turn into the transparent liquid he had mentioned. "S-See--"
"YES, I MADE IT!! WOOHOO!!" Before Misaki could even finish what he had to say, he was immediately drowned out by a rather loud student. He had been so spooked, that his water arm lost shape and turned more into a blob. "A-Ah!" The merman panicked for a second, waving his arm around a bit, until it finally turned back to "normal". Let out a sigh of relief, Misaki turned to Zentaro and blushed faintly. "U-U'm, yeah, that's what I can d-do...hope it wasn't too underwhelming..."
She let out a deep sigh, she had to do this if she liked it or not it was part of the job description after all and she never quit after taking a job. That was the motto she stood by when she was at school and it paid helped her stay on a good course til now so why fret completely. She had to make sure that she was the best representative of the school at all times like she was when she started. Quickly neatening up the papers in her hand she stepped out from behind the curtain her glasses reflecting a slight shimmer as she stepped forwards, her heels clicking on the elevated wooden stage.
Standing on the centre of the stage. She took a moment to clear her throught audibly to make sure that everyone was paying attention. She felt rude doing it, it wasn't really her style to be so rude to other-. She stopped herself before she had too much of an urge to run off stage making sure to look back at the other students. "H-Hello there, sorry for being so late." she said quickly as she did a very formal bow before standing up straight again. She took a deep breath (she was always like this when she started presenting) as she started to pace left and right on the stage to address everyone. "Welcome to Chihaiten academy and for those of that that are returning." The woman says as she glanced at the second and third year seats. "Welcome back for another round." She said with a her lips curled up in a slight smile as she paced back to the centre as if giving some sort of presentation.
"Now to remind everyone what this school strives for. You might think we accepted anyone and that sadly would be false, instead we accepted those that we believed had the greatest potential to grow as people and as heroes. Those that with proper training would be able to become strong pillars of society. Therefore I only ask of you during your stay here to become the best you can possibly be." She said as she finished up her formal speech. It wasn't the same as last year because she kept thinking up such things on the spot.
She tapped the bridge of her nose as she looked down at the papers in her hands. "Now time for the admin related things. Firstly be careful in the dormitories some of the halls may still be wet, so please don't try to run around the halls though that is likely something y'all know not to do already I hope." She said with a small grin her accent slightly bleeding into her speech. "Now for the first years that don't know your classes..." She began as she began listing off names. "Asclepius Alekos, Okabe Hisano..." This continued for a good few minutes or so before she neared the end of the list. "...Sanzo Yoshio, Kobashigawa Zentaro" She said as she finished off the entire list of names. "Y'all will hence forth be grouped as Class A. Your homeroom teacher being Mr Kemikeru and while hes not currently up on stage unlike the other homeroom teacher I can guarantee you that he'll meet your expectations of a hero" She said addressing the class she said before she went back to addressing the other classes.
~A good few minutes later~
Soon enough the assembly neared its end and the headmistress began to signal people to go out. Of course the first years were dismissed first. "This way. Be orderly and remain in single file and don't be late for your first class." The silver haired woman from the gate said as she was directing the first years leaving the doors. She was accompained by another teacher whom wasn't saying a word, said teacher was dressed from head to toe in an old fashioned scuba outfit. To the point where they looked extremely out of place. Their face obscured by some opaque visage so that all one could make from them was the fact that they too were making hand gestures towards the door in a similar manner to the silver haired woman from earlier.
Mr Kemikaru let out a heavy sigh as he stood back to look over his work. He had been working on this formula for a while but even with his own vast knowledge of chemical structure it really was coming down to trial and error and just analysing the possible chains and sequences that one could produce. He was building this formula from the top down after all. Frowning he lifted up the eraser and cleaned off the entire chalkboard. What he had wouldn't work, not for what he needed.
Sitting down at his desk he pulled out the small sheet in front of him. It was his first year taking up this job so he hoped to at the very least give a decent enough first impression to his students. He lifted his arms behind his head as he let out a yawn and waited for his students to arrive. After all he wanted to get to know what batch of quirks he was dealing with so he could offer the best aid with his experience...
This is basically just grabbing a spot before anyone else and then sticking with it for the rest of the school year

"Huh..." Hisano commented softly as she learned Midori's Freudian pattern. It seemed like she was basically just a big ol' ball of nerves, and was spitting out whatever she could to compensate for her uncertainty. It would explain why she seemed so weird when she first introduced herself. It was probably only natural, seeing as everyone was settling into a new environment. Hisano, on the other hand, was never all that fussed about these things, as people came and went from the farm all the time, and she had dealt with all types, and all universally older and sometimes more intimidating than anybody here. Midori would just need to e nurtured like a seed.
At least it seemed like they were making a miniature social circle already. Midori and the foreigner were already exchanging names. This Noah seemed almost as awkward as Midori, which perhaps made them the perfect pair. "I'm Hisano Okabe." She offered. Noah hadn't asked for her name, but she imagined it wouldn't hurt to take the initiative. There wasn't much time to chat before it turned out that the long awaited ceremony was finally beginning. Hisano decided to hush up and listen. It was the only polite thing to do.
Most of it was a fairly typical school spiel, but the part that was doubtless to catch more than her attention was the announcement of their class assignment. Of all the things that could happen, she got put in the same class as the very two people she had first met and introduced herself to at the academy. Hisano had to stifle a little giggle at how that had turned out. As the event ended, Hisano spoke to her new classmates, "Well heck, isn't that just the thing? Like a right turn of fate, us all being together." While she sounded more amused than elated, the truth was Hisano was somewhat pleased at this turn of events. "Shall we go together?" She asked them. They were all to walk single file, but there was no reason they couldn't fall in line behind each other.
Arriving in the classroom, Hisano chose to take a seat in the second row from the front, on the far right hand side.
âIâll see you in class, Watanamiya.â Yoshiba stated as she stood up from her seat following the lead from the speaker, unimpressed by the speech as much as she was with the lack of urgency or order. A sigh leaving her lips as she began to move out of the ceremony hall.
Front. Center-Left.
It was no surprise where Yoshiba moved to sit in the classroom when she arrived, or at least for anyone who knew her from the orphanage or her primary school prior to her academic acceptance at Chihaiten. Unfortunately, none of them were here to share in the glory that was her placement nor the announcement it sort of took to take such a seat. She didnât even stop for a moment to consider her âpeersââthey were all glorified sidekicks, after all. Poseurs, none of which were worthy to be regarded as a rival of hers. As she parked herself in the seat she placed her materials and papers down on top of the table before reverted to how she sat in the ceremony hall; arms crossed and unamused, serious and cold.
She looked at the front of the classroom, not bothering with knowing who sat behind her; instead, she was trying to observe the supposed instructor that was assigned to teach her and determine her importance as the only relevant pro hero to attend Chihaiten Academy.
"Excuse me, sorry, excuse me, pardon, sorry..." Al apologized to the row of students that he had to maneuver his bulky frame through in order to reach one of the few free seats that was left in the assembly hall. After plopping down into the chair Al couldn't help but scan over the room again, the sight of the sea of chatting students causing a grin to plant itself on his lips. He could feel the excitement swelling up in his chest as thoughts of being here with all these fellow future heroes raced through his head. "I really did make it..." He half to himself as he rested back further into his chair, confidently placing his hands behind his head. Al was quickly pulled from his thoughts when his attention was grabbed by someone taking the stage, he wasn't sure who she was but Al was sure that she had to be important judging from the quite that fell over the crowd. The lad hung on every word the woman said as if his life depended on it, he wanted to make sure he didn't miss out on any details. He nearly shot out of his seat when she brought up information about first years being placed in class A, but he was held in place do to the fact that he didn't know where that class was. Luckily for the big lug that information was given shortly after and he along with the other new students were released ahead of the rest of the crowd.
Al was beaming with energy as he walked to his new class along his new classmates, his towering frame visibly giddy as he walked with a peep in his step. "OH YEAH!!" He exclaimed as they actually reached the empty class. This was it, the real thing, the very first step down the path of becoming a hero. Al was nearly a one man stamped as he went for one of the front row seats, he was almost seated before he stopped himself. He looked behind himself at the rows of empty seats then over to his notably smaller classmates. It was in that moment that years of having to hunch over in class so people behind him could see over his mountainous form came rushing back to Al and pulled him somewhat back to his senses. With a slightly embarrassed cough Al stood back up and made his way to the back seats of the class where two desks were placed, he slid into the one on the left. Once seated however his composer was quickly replaced yet again by his excitement, his grin finding its way back to his face.
Zentaro thought at Misaki's praise. His quirk is deeply flawed and he has to be smart on how he uses it. Otherwise he risk so many dangers and embarrassments because of it. But Zentaro simply nodded his head at the boy's praise... and was that envy in his voice he heard? Maybe the boy has a darker side then it appeared. Maybe his green eyes are more telling of his personality then he has assumed. Now the interesting part of the conversation started. Misaki's quirk. Which was more useful then he had assumed, it seems even its master seems to underestimate its ability. Zentaro nodded his head approvingly and with interest at the boy's display, which must be overwhelming to the excitable boy.
But Zentaro was rudely interrupted of talking about the quirk by a loud lug screaming as if his life almost ended. Zentaro shot the voice a glare. It a was a tall meat headed looking boy. The only person who looked to be taller then him in their age range. Zentaro almost felt annoyed that somebody for once was taller then him. Almost. But before Zentaro could feel an emotion Misaki spoke up hoping he didn't disappointed him with his quirk. Zentaro shook his head and said bluntly "No, you didn't, I would like to see the whole power of your quirk, I think it... and you have potential." Gross, he's being all sentimental, he couldn't help but react to his own gross words as he felt a shiver go down his spine.
But before he could redeem himself for such gross words, the speech happened, so time for talk was over. Sadly he ended that conversation on a gross note. But maybe friends are supposed to be that gross with each other. What did he get himself into?
After a rather haphazard introduction Zentaro and the other Class A students made their way to the classroom, Zentaro was near the front of the crowd and made his way to his unassigned seat which was at the very back, next to that tall boy. Zentaro ignored the boy not wanting to raise ire of a useless emotion like anger or annoyance. He was above that. Zentaro always sat in the back of the class, he was always tall for his age. So his teachers always put him in the back so he wouldn't block any other student's view of the black board. Zentaro gotten used to it so there was no point in changing his seating position in the classroom. Even if its not the same one from last year.
Zentaro took a seat and waited for class to start. Hopefully the tall boy won't talk to him.

Someone had yelled out from behind and he offered the large man a nod and a wave, though nothing much after that since the speech started soon after. It wasn't as memorable and really not worth the wait, but he guessed that that was usually how it worked anyway. Opening speeches were boring after all. He leaned back on his chair, nearly dozing off as the principal continued to speak. His behavior was directly opposite of how energetic he was, perhaps the man was finally taking a break from his hyperactive way. However, he was listening - even though he was listening without much interest. When their names began being called, he looked up and then adjusted his seat so he looked more presentable. Though, there wasn't anyone watching so he did it in vain. Each name that was called up was placed in his mind to be put for future use - since they were his classmates. He was glad that he was placed in the same class as Yoshiba, despite them only being acquaintances... for now.
He blinked in surprise as Yoshiba swiftly stood up and left. Well, that was quick. He nodded at her and then stood up as well, hanging behind a little bit before moving. As much as he loved people, he wasn't exactly fond of crowds and how much he was going to be pushed around. Though, this wasn't as bad as when there's a newly opened mall. Now that was a pain to navigate in. Rikuo reached the classroom quickly enough. Yoshiba, like the good student she looked like, sat up front. While he did want to sit down beside someone he knew, he didn't want to be in front. While he did listen to classes, he had a tendency of his mind drifting to some other place if he isn't interested. He'd rather not risk discovery by sitting in front. The two back seats were occupied by the large man from earlier and a pink haired guy. So sitting at the farthest back was out of the options.
He decided to sit somewhere that was close to the back. Offering everyone inside with a wave, he sat down to the far left, just beside the window. Now there was somewhere he can lean on when he feels particularly bored. And just like that, he was already leaning on the window as he waited for the others to come. There wasn't much to say about the teacher. He'll find out more about him at some other time. Rikuo looked at the large man and then gave him another wave, "Morning man. Close call earlier on huh?"
"Certainly," Noah replied as Hisano asked if they and the green-haired girl, who he'd later learn was named Midori, could walk to the classroom together. It was nice to walk with someone that one was acquainted to, even though Noah still had a long way to go when it came to getting to know Hisano and Midori. However, the fact that Noah was to follow them to class did remind him that he needed to set his phone up so that it could translate whatever was being said in Japanese into English for him.
...
In fact, he probably should've had the phone set up that way well before he left the house this morning. Managing to scrape by holding a conversation was one thing, but trying to sit through a lecture could've ended in disaster had this not been done, and Noah already paid the price for this kind of negligence during the assembly. He tried his best to make it look like he was adequately listening to the woman making the presentation, but what was actually happening was that the vast majority of what she had to say was going straight through one of his ears and out the other. Thankfully, Noah already got a breakdown on how to set the translator up from his mother; in fact, he already managed to get it up and running as he, Hisano and Midori were walking to the classroom, headphones in place and all.
Hisano was the first of the three to choose her seat, which was at the second row and all the way to the right. Noah had eyed up the immediate seat behind, but didn't know if she was of the type that liked her space. The whole row was unoccupied at the moment but, having no idea where Midori wanted to sit, Noah did the next most respectable thing and sat further behind Hisano than he originally intended. He found himself in the same row, but at the opposite end of a brown-haired boy with glasses... with two much taller boys behind him. He bit his lip and gulped, his nerves already beginning to show. After all, neither of the two boys were "just tall", they both would've easily out-heightened Noah by at least a full foot, and both had significant muscle mass too them as well. The first of the two, the pink-haired one, looked at least somewhat passable for someone who was merely tall for his age bracket. But the second one, the one person of color. His extremities were more into the freakish of outliers. Hell, he could've not even been a teenager any longer for all Noah knew.
This in turn led Noah to question how the guy got here. Perhaps he got in at a late age. Or perhaps... no. There was no way a Hero School would consciously decide to hold a student back, for any length of time let alone a year or two, while simultaneously allowing in someone like Noah who had worryingly little control over his Quirk... and that was assuming he had any at all. They'd be out of business if that was what their standards were. Noah shook his head at such a thought of the possibility, and looked over at the student in color, only to note that the boy with the glasses was just conversing with him, decidedly having not the slightest problem with it.
...
Perhaps the student in color was more approachable than Noah could give him credit for at first. Revising his position yet again, he gave up his seat at the opposing end and moved closer to the boy with the glasses, turning the chair around so he'd face the student in color directly.
"Hey, um..." he paused immediately, snapping his fingers a few times in hopes the words would come to him in Japanese. He debated using English instead, although that involved banking that the student in color would be the one person that could possibly understand it well enough to tell what Noah was actually trying to say. Although he was more than willing to take that chance, Noah decided that he didn't need to take it just yet; after all, he'd probably wind up "timing" the next few pauses so that it wouldn't what language he used in the long run. So he gave trying this in Japanese a shot. Perhaps by some miracle he'd get the sentence right, in which case the stars would've aligned perfectly.
"I know this maybe a bit soon considering we just met, but, uh... I gotta ask; is this your first year as well?" he asked the student in color, not wanting to add anything else to that question just to ensure it didn't come across as insensitive. After all, that was the last thing he wanted. He was already concerned that saying this more confidently than he had would've ultimately yielded the same results.
Having eased into his seat, Robin watched the rest of the crowd settle before the speaker eventually stepped out onto the stage. He smiled at the familiarity she displayed with the returning students, picking up on the vague accent she possessed. She seemed friendly, if a little bit nervous, though he could certainly understand why one might feel that way, he wasn't exactly a master of public speaking himself. A feeling of happiness and inspiration certainly did bubble up inside the young man as she went on about potential, his smile widening as the reality of his situation continued to set in, that feeling only grew further as he was assigned to a class, having sat up straight when his name was called, along with a few familiar ones.
Soon the first years were being ushered out, he filed along quietly. Robin gave a small nod and quietly mummered a "Thank you." to the duo leading them along, hardly phased by someone dressed as a scuba diver when he was plodding along on a set of talons. Finally he reached the door and stepped into the class, seeing that a few had already begun to trickle in. The man behind the desk, presumably Mr Kemikeru seemed to be waiting for everyone to arrive so the feathered fellow headed towards an available seat, managing to snag one by the window on the front row.
While glancing around the class, Robin was pleased to see the recognisable faces of a few he had run in with that morning already such as his guide from the train station who had seated himself towards the back. After sliding his bag under the desk he had chosen, his eyes soon fell upon his blue haired desk neighbour and then followed her gaze towards the teacher, he then looked back to her and smiled. It was time to make a good impression."Kind of looks like a time traveller or something, doesn't he? Wonder if that's to do with his quirk, it seems like he's waiting for the class to fill up." He paused for a moment so his voice could register to the shorter lady's attention, then continued. "And it also seems like we're going to be desk buddies..." Reaching a hand out towards his classmate, he gave his usual cordial introduction. "My name is Robin Hara, it's nice to meet you."
Al's eyes darted around the room hungry to take in all of the sights around him. The big lug's excitement still hadn't died down, in fact it had only grown the more that he familiarized himself with the room. His attention constantly jumped from his fellow students, to the massive chalkboard that was covered top to bottom in formulas and equations that all of which went far over Al's head, and finally to the older man that sat at the desk in front of the class. Al came to the conclusion that this man had to be the class's teacher, the young man's mind immediately started racing with guesses as to what his quirk was. "Maybe he can fly, or teleport, or read minds, wait does that mean he can hear me thinking this now? HELLO, CAN YOU HEAR ME?!... Guess not..." This train of thought went on for quite awhile, only getting more outlandish as time went on.
Luckily Al was pulled back to reality when he noticed someone had took the seat next to him. When he looked over Al was greeted with the sight of a head of bright pink hair. "THAT IS AWESOME!!!" The words jumped from Al before he even knew they were forming. He quickly followed his statement with a hearty chuckle. "Sorry about that, but pink is my favorite color and I just wanted to say that your hair is seriously amazing." Al said, a warm smile forming on his lips. "It looks like you are in the same boat as me, big guy in the back for the greater good. Not so bad once you're use to it if you ask me." Al continued with a slight shrug and another chuckle. "Oh man, where are my manners!" Al said before he gave himself a forehead palm. "My name is Alekos Maximos Asclepius, but everyone just calls me Al. It is great to meet you." He said before he offered one of his meaty hands to the pink haired young man to shake.
Before he could get a response from his new desk neighbor Al noticed that another young man, this one sporting a set of glasses, took the seat in front of him and began to lean back. Al could help but laugh at the young man's comment about earlier, considering for the first time how his entrance into the assembly hall must of looked to others. "You can say that again. Being late on the first day isn't exactly the best foot forward, but it makes a great story right?" Al said with a chuckle. "My name is Alekos Maximos Asclepius, but everyone calls me Al. Pleasure to meet you."
Yet again however before Al could get a response to his greeting someone else approached him, the big lug was starting to detect a pattern, but this time however it was a young woman that took a seat near him. He listened to her fumble over her words for a bit, which made it very clear to Al that Japanese was not her native language. Al offered her a reassuring smile before holding up his hand singling her to slow down. "Hey hey, it is okay. I understand English." He said in a warm tone as he offered her another smile. Being raised in the foster home Al had been exposed to a whole array of languages and he was by no means fluent in any of them he managed to get a good grasp of the few that were more commonly seen, English being one of them. It took a moment for Al to reregister the question she asked him, mainly because it confused him a bit. "Well yeah, this is the first year class after all." He said as he raised his brow. It was only as he looked down at the much smaller girl that he realized just how out of place he must of looked compared to the rest of his class. Al was no stranger to having people misjudge his age, his massive physique also made people think he was older than he actually was, but still it always caught him a bit off guard when it was brought up. He couldn't help but laugh when it finally clicked for him. "No worries I'm not some weird guy trying to sneak into high school, I'm sixteen I swear."
