Yurius Diencrade

Yurius was looking around the area as all of a sudden, his hearings began to pick up noises. Engines to be specific. When he turned around, he could see the three forklifts racing towards him, along with the students. His initial idea was to use his mighty power to stop one of the forklifts right on its tracks, but seeing how those forklifts were lifted to the chest level of everybody, which was around the stomach level for him. Not only that the thing were a little sharp, the position was a little uncomfortable to hold onto. So he abandoned that plan, as he simply just made a sideway jump, moving out of the way of the forklifts as they charged through.

"Hmph. What a puerile tactic." The vampire crossed his arms as he recited his usual mocking tone. He could obviously notice that hooded Imp who was trying to make fun of the vampire, Mako and the rest of the students with that seemingly 'innovative' strategy, in which to him was just a dirty trick from a brat.

Still, he need not act now. Let us hear what this brat had to say, and what that thing had to do with what we were investigating here. The vampire looked around his feet and picked up a rock, which sized at about a golf ball. Placing the rock onto one of his hand, he tightened it into a fist, hiding the rock, and then placed it behind his back. His lips curled into a blood-thirsty smirk. Just in case...

Ceiran Strivelyn

His train of thought was hurtling through the black coffee air surrounding the warehouse. It glared blue against the sinister steel, and violently heaved to a halt at the sight of three forklifts. There were imps on top, too. Oh.

He was facing the rightmost forklift. He wouldn't stop the lift, but both he and the Imp were much lighter than the lift. He unfurled pearly grey wall off to his right, extending it forward. Waiting... waiting... Now!. The wall gave a violent jerk to the right. The forklift rolled on past as Ceiran and the Imp were thrown to the right. They both hit the ground with a meaty thunk, and Ceiran felt his shoulder briefly popped out of its socket. "Gah! Fucken... argh.."
He clutched at his shoulder. Something had torn, and it wasn't just skin.

The Imp was much worse off, though. It had also taken the fall and the momentum, all while unprepared. Not to mention it was smaller, and had weaker bones. It was curled in a tight ball, just whimpering. Honestly, Ceiran just felt like doing the same thing, but he couldn't risk the Imp getting back up. He scrambled over to the incapacitated demon, and choked it to unconsciousness. It hardly put up a fight, and Ceiran couldn't help but pity it.

He sprawled on the ground after this, clutching his arm.

Industrial Center

The rush of air around the lead Imp's face was as exhilarating as the roar of their modified forklifts, which sounded and acted more like they possessed the engines of old muscle cars then industrial equipment. It rose her shark toothed grin to new heights, and she chortled without a care for refrain as they leaped from the loading bay and briefly darted across the air on momentum till they hit tarmac and barreled towards the group of do-gooders.

Acting according to her master plan, most of them evaded the charge in favor of saving their own lives. What caused the Imp's laughter to die down was twofold.

"Holy tuna! Danni, that guy just choked out Kiki!" The driver of the middle forklift shouted in alarm, and thus had completely failed to notice the Witch in front of them which currently had the now identified Danni sweating under her collar. Worse even, was that Circe was calling her bluff and soon to be upon her with the fury of a piss soaked wolverine. Perhaps an actual wolverine too.

But she wasn't the lead imp for nothing, and Danni responded with her tail shooting out under the forklift canopy and jerking the steering wheel hard, turning away from the trigger happy Mako with a screech of burning rubber.

"Oh ho no. Take your batty student!" Danni shouted before hurling the lunch container of Circe straight towards the Witch. Better to distract the laser happy teacher then get mauled and shot to swiss cheese. "Break for the road, we are getting out of here!"

The remaining industrial vehicles swerved away from the students, too shocked by their violence to take up Roland's challenge, and made to flee the warehouse's lot in order to live and prank another day.

The imp threw Circe's box at Mako and it bounced to her feet just as the young woman regained her human shape. She stood up with a snarl and wiped blood from her mouth. Her eyes looked feral as she really he'd in her bag and pulled out one of her potions and drank it quickly. The girl looked to Mako for just a moment as she prepared to take off.

"Now I am pissed off!! The leader is mine!!" A look of sadistic Glee etched upon her face. She began running towards the fleeing forklift, the imps must of modified it to go faster, but not fast enough to escape the shifter. Circe had about 15 minutes left of shifting time, her body became more streamlined and graceful looking. A long tail and legs grew out, her fur took on an orangish hue with black spots. The cheetah picked up speed unbelievably fast, she closed the dance in the blink of an eye.

The lead Imp looked back to gloat with she saw Circe closing in. She yelled at the driver to speed up, but the forklift wasn't designed to go that fast and there wasn't much more it could do. Circe ran along side of the vehicle and looked at the leader as she lept up and closed her mouth around it's throat. She landed on the other side as the forklift continued on minus one imp.

"Gah ever hear of a fricken bath?? I was homeless for six years and even I smelled better than that!!" She said returning to her human form and placing a boot on the leaders chest and drawing a sword and placing it to her neck. "Don't try illusions either, they won't work on me this time, I know what to expect. Now your going to answer my questions before the others catch up..."

Mako lowered her hand when the container was hurled at her feet, and Circe returned to her true form in from of the witch. The teacher smiled at Circe with something resembling pride. Obviously, she was pleased at Circe calling their bluff. She didn't get a chance to talk to her before Circe left again with a bloodthirsty look in her eyes. Yare yare! If Yurius wanted to stop her, that was his call. If not, Mako would reprimand her later, during the evaluation. Mako instead approached Ceiran, who'd taken a landing quite bad and had seemingly hurt his shoulder. Mako sighed. Without his demon, he had less raw talent or potential than a random human pulled off the street. It was pitiful in many ways, his fragility and baffling lack of combat or magical ability. She crouched down beside him.

"Stay still. Rolling around on the ground will just make it worse. Now I'm going to heal your arm. Hold still."

Then, using no magic whatsoever, she popped his shoulder back into it's socket. It hurt a lot, bit shouldn't leave any lasting injuries. Just a day or two of stiffness and pain.

Yurius Diencrade

As those Imps were racing away to preserve their own lives and cowardice, Yurius could only sneered, as he threw the rock in his hand down their way. So was all the trouble and incidents that happened here was attributed to them? He swore, if he met them again, he would rip their throats out. He came here expecting a large threat, but it turned out to be a whole bunch of brats. He couldn't just leave them be. It was his and the student's mission to remove them. What a colossal pain in the ass.

Talking about students...

"Hey you!"

Yurius said, as he noticed the young and impulsive Circe trying to prey on the Imps, single-handedly. Unless you are an ancient vampire who had lived for hundreds of years and had once caused a lasting terror upon the inhabitants of the lands you came across, going alone wasn't a good idea. Still if they were only those brats and nothing else, it shouldn't be too worrisome.

"Please watch the others for me." He said as he began to walk in the direction of Circe. He was keeping his eyes on her, also to find out what the hell was going on in this place.

Sonia Weaver

For some reason or another, Sonia's portent didn't really tell her anything. Something strange must be going on for her spell to have had no effect; usually it works just fine. Instead Lotte and Duncan went on ahead, making Sonia curse under her breath. Seemed like the only action left to do now was go forward. The creature had surfaced and the cries for help were gone; at least now Sonia knows that the screaming was some sort of trap. No doubts this create is dangerous but whether or not it can be negotiated with will have to be seen. Sonia cased her Tongue's spell so if this creature was intelligent enough to understand languages, she can communicate with it. And if it was just some mindless creature that attacks and eats people, than it'll have to be put down. Sonia had a hand on her spellbook and Owldin was ready to intercept if the creature attacked.

"We're from the surface, investigating these sewers for something that attacked our people. You wouldn't happen to have anything to do with that, do you?" Sonia called out. To everyone she was just speaking English, but to this creature she was speaking whatever language it knew. If it spoke back, Sonia would understand it.

Danni had really whiffed that throw on her part. What should have been a solid hurl into Mako's center mass, resulting in a tumble and tangle of limbs as Circe re-asserted her human form in time to make the most of the collision, really just amounted to nothing more then pissing the shifter off.

Now in most cases the fork lifts at max acceleration would have beaten out any foot bound pursuer, given the Imps were familiar with the area and no doubt had laid out insidiously mundane traps to slow down pursuers so they could cleanly escape. But none of those plans accounted for a cheetah being their pursuer. And thus Danni found herself tackled from her vehicle and briefly crushed beneath oh so much fur, before even that gave way to boot, sword, and copious amounts of insults being directed at her.

"Hey, you try getting running water out here when we ain't paying the utility bills. It's hard enough stealing cable, oh ho!" The lead Imp fired back with only a faint tremble of concern in her mischievous voice, one which was made a bit more apparent by the struggling of her hands to dislodge the boot from her figure.

And this only accelerated in it's vigor as she saw the approaching vampire marching towards them. "Q-Questions? I'm not answering any questions till I see a lawyer. I'm just a law ignoring hooligan and you are trespassing on my claimed territory."

Though as Danni fidgeted and blathered on in her defense, the last Imp made good on the lack of pursuers and escaped the lot, banking hard before disappearing around the corner of another warehouse and darting away towards wherever the Imps intended to flee in the first place.

Circe stared down at the struggling Imp, but Circe had all the leaverage. As the Imp struggled she noticed Yuriius making his way, Circe knew she had little time. She applied a bit more pressure to the throat as she leaned a little lower.

"Listen, I honestly don't care what you and your little friends are up to. But the vampire coming this way does, see he thinks imp are like bugs. Needing to be constantly squished beneath his foot, if you can tell me where your friend ran off to, and anything you know about a new player in town, I will tell him you cooperated fully and that you can get jail time instead of him killing you. I want to know all about a cloven hooved beast that's been rampaging in the forest and in the city. Make yourself the small fish and not the big fish, before pointy teeth shows up."

Circe smiled wickedly while waiting for an answer from the imp. Yurius would soon be here and any information on the monster she could gather would be lost with the truth. She poked her sword a bit closer to the imps side to drive home her bluff.

Roland Nightbreaker

Being almost unphased by the surprise of the imps, the group quickly reacted to the approaching forklifts. In seconds the tide of the battle shifted in their favor. The imps caught onto this fast and decided to make a break for it, but not before tossing a bat in a container at Mako. Wait… was that Circe? Oh man did she look pissed. The murder in her eyes could be seen as she changed into. Cheetah and gave chase to the escaping imps.

“Hey, wait up!” Roland yelled as Circe continued her pursuit. He couldn't let her go alone, since she apparently got trapped in a plastic container last time. But they were all going so fast, there was no way he could catch them on foot.

It was then he noticed the empty forklift slowly rolling to a halt after Ceiran had removed its driver. Perfect. Sheathing his sword and tossing his shield on his back Roland ran past the others and hopped into the modified forklift.

As to be expected, the seat was adjusted for an imp. It was pulled all the way up and pushed practically up against the steering wheel. It was awkward and uncomfortable to say the least, but he couldn't waste anymore time adjusting it. Slamming his foot on the gas, Roland took off after Circe and the imps.

While he was able to cover some ground, he wasn't able to get too close before the remaining imp turned a corner after Circe took out their leader. Deciding to be a hypocrite, Roland flew passed Circe continuing the pursuit alone. Drifting around the corner the last imp turned down, he could only hope to at least catch a glimpse of his target before they got away.

The creature stared back at Duncan, eyes not once blinking. It was hard to tell if its pupils were moving at all, tracing to the centaur’s aimed and readied bow. It was hard to tell anything of it really, when it held no emotion on its facial features; in fact, it had no features at all. All that stared back was a fish-like blob, not even flinching towards Duncan’s weapon or words.

And then the spider girl spoke, voice hissed in a high-pitch to the creature. The aquatic being actually blinked once, wet slaps heard as it did so. It was still impossible to tell what it was looking at but by the sudden shift beneath the water, something was going to happen. That something was raising a long, spindly blue limb right out of the water for Sonia to see.

Moving like molasses, it slowly, slowly began to move that arm….until it was pointing at Sonia. Specifically, the area behind her. Whatever that was supposed to mean, it had apparently triggered something because the water behind the group bubbled violently. Rising as a wave of living sewer water, the construct began to immediately shower down onto Tholl and Sonia.

It was acting with an unusual strength, as if it were the water itself. If that was the case, this other creature wasn’t at fault. Strange certainly, but not to blame for the troubles caused. In any case, the living wave continued to slam into both spider girls, intent to either crush them under the water’s weight and pressure or just drown them like bugs.

Duncan watched the creature stare back at him. The creature didn't react or answer, so neither did Duncan, though he kept his bow ready. Sonia then spoke, and Duncan didn't hear anything unusual about her question, but she managed to get a reaction from it, and it pointed to her. Duncan looked, and he felt that something was wrong before he could see it. It wasn't pointing at her, and it probably didn't even understand her. It was pointing behind he. It was warning her of something. If exactly what, Duncan didn't know when he started to gallop towards Sonia. It was only a few seconds afterwards when he saw that the very water was rising up and attempting to engulf them. Duncan was now running as fast as he could. If the water actually succeeded in submerging the spider-girls, he wanted to be on hand to rescue them before they drowned.
