Victoria Darya Romus "Vika"

Wednesday Afternoon - Coffee Pot - "MiLady Corvus returns anew"

@Silver Fox

Victoria gave the woman a gentle smile if she got up and placed the purse back where she knew she would not drop it. Losing your purse and money was a real problem and even a danger in some cases and icey as people made out. She did have some compassion even of she could turn it off for work purposes. It was a ability some found a a little... Strange, and unsettling.

Feeling her phone buzz in her hand, what do you do. So you turn away from one, or turn to the other, deciding to turn back she was still polite.

you got lucky with your purse, be careful miss, I should get back to my friend, have a good day.

Returning over, she sat back down dwarfed alot by Ashton being so small, sitting next to her made her relise quite how short and lightly built she was at times. She had finished about half the coffee, the only advantage was caffine and alcohol took less to take effect... Or disadvantage. She enjoyed spirits but her body disagreed. Returning her slight smile and abit more relaxed, Ashton seemed a genuinely decent person who just wanted to help people.

Ashton message was fairly long and quite deep, she had asked as it meant she could just out what she was comfortable putting and avoided awkwardly asking and finding out she offended her. Espechily with Ashton m, it was not always easy to tell some things. Ashton certainly had a busy life, and a few sad but also achievements. It was alot to pack in a short time.

Thanks... London is nice, I miss a few things about home if I'm honest.

I was a track athlete, well until I fell ill when I was 14. Team sports where less my thing. Afterwards... Well I learnt both sides of digital security...

Oh... I'm. Sorry but I'm glad you found a nice family, and home it's definitely a. Nice area you grew up, I like it'd calmer and quieter than old harbour. You certainly been busy with life, and intresting one! I had a feeling there was more to you than a boogie board and hand gestures could represent.

I'm glad you found your thing it seems. Even if that is running at flaming buildings! Maybe just be careful!

I have a few things of my mother's. But I'm scared to wear them incase I lost them, there safely locked away.

Oh.. Sorry I must get back soon, I have a few things to take care of back home. And a old friend to contact. He might have a clue to unravel a problem..

Nothing stopping you traveling Ashton, if you truely want to:) I managed I was well... Me.. If you want to see world... Go see it.

Hotting send. It was alot to reply to and take In, growing up in London, they shops and lights was great, the places where only a short tube away for almost anything and history projects where easy when massive museums only next door. Losing her mother and then the illness had taken there toll though and she had fallen in with a bad crowd for abit before swaying back into the grey, sometimes dark grey but she stayed strictly out the black and darkest aspects.

Ashton tale was... A intresting one to say the least. A a little sad in places but she was a product of a intresting past, and seems pretty happy with her future outwardly anyway. It explained her array of scars and so at least if nothing else. From. A orphan, to park view, military and a firefighter. She definitely was not one to do things by halves. And then a hero of city no less for a time, Ashton was definitely not a let others do things person.

She missed travel, she was able bodied and healthy abet scarred. If Victoria could see places with alitle help, Ashton definitely could go out and explore if she wanted.

She definitely had to contact cardinal again and find out more, they knew each other too well, previously at times, particularly closely even if not seriously together. Too well anyway to be a ale to lie about both havong a intrest in what might be going on, at least for there own preservation, if not gain. Two brains where better than one and there skill sets complemented somewhat. Another reason they had got so close, even if that was past, friends still. They could least could on other when there was somthong going on.

He would be digging about, carefully, but he definitely would slim. Up somthing to start a lead to whatever had triggered the digital feeding frenzy. Also a rumour in office of a recent attack on a cop or so. What the hell was going on in Sol...

Putting some cash down, she paid for what she promised Ashton and her own stuff, packing up her laptop and note book she was working on before she was so distracted. Adding a nice tip. It probbly was a good idea Id she wanted to stop by here more often.

Milo Ventri

Milo laughed, "Don't worry, I will be eating something..." he took a sip of his drink before looking back, "...Once the rage settles." He smiled and listened to the story she had, ever since they became closer he began to envy her more, or was it just the scenario they were in that made him want the kind of power to do something like she could. The things that she ad been telling him were definitely not things he should know, despite how close to this he was, the police and the marshalls were much colder about it, and even worse, they have been watching, their gaze on him, while they are protecting him, he just wants to get out there and do something, anything.

Milo listened as she explained some of what she had learned but the thing that stuck in his mind was the name Nikki, Jackie had mentioned a friend named Nikki, a couple stories that he had from them running around, and if this was the guy that put out the hit, then that was the place to get to, "Nikki... Jackie mentioned him a few times, the two of them were buddies or something, told me of a few of their hangouts when they were slumming it up, sounded like a real prick, guess I wasn't far off the mark." Milo flagged down the waitress again, and ordered some weird sandwich he could hardly pronounce, didn't matter, he wasn't too picky at this point. "They had a couple joints, rough spots, but Jackie said they were out of the eye of law enforcement, made it easier to do a few things worse than a line." Milo took the sandwich when it got there and took a bite, before finishing, "Of course I could help get things done, if miss G.I. Jane doesn't mind a civvy getting under foot." he joked.

Siobhan

Location: Apex Designs

Interaction: Joel @Pilatus

Siobhan looked at the door as it opened and heard Joel laughing on the floor. Yep that was a good one. Let him have it. I'll get him later. She laughed a tad hysterically and hiccuped as she sat up on her elbows. “Good one. Now let's eat or it's going to get cold.”

Getting up off the bed she gathered up the small lamp and picture she had knocked over and put them up. Making sure that her face was clear of any remaining moisture she turned around to face the music. “Alright Chuckles get up.” The double entendre for that statement wasn't lost on Siobhan and she blushed and reached a hand down to help Joel up if he needed it. Jesus it must be the surroundings!!! Wonder how long it's been since a female has stepped over the threshold? Oh my god!!! Seriously what is wrong with me?!?

Siobhan blushing and still holding out a hand to help him up glared at Joel. “If you pull me down to the floor you will regret it. That's a promise. I'd say I'd make sure to land on you but you might like that.”

"Hm?" Rei lifted her head up from her arms to look over to Victoria. "O-Oh, right. Sorry..." she got up from her seat and walked over to the girl's table, looking around and grabbing her purse. "I-It's been hard to get some proper rest since I moved here. G-Guess it's messing with my mind a bit hahah..." Rei explained, nodding to Victoria before she sat back at her table.

"...Well that was a bit embarassing." She sighed, pulling her phone out of her pocket and texting her brother.

You at work yet?
To Ryan

Rei waited a few minutes, one of the waiters taking her order, before Rai responed back.

Just about to leave, why??

Might swing by for lunch later, I have a feeling today's gonna be a long day...

The way she said yes to his offer wasn't lost on him, he often took some abuse from people for the lingo he used. He was just too preoccupied on her accepting his offer to even retort. He wanted to stand up and celebrate as if his childhood football team had just won a cup final, but he had to control himself. He simply smiled and began to dig into the mountain of food in front of him. He dug deep to get every last bite into him and within ten minutes had left an empty plate in front of him. While they ate Dustynn had asked for a sandwich to go, something Leo thought about briefly before deciding against. There was a clatter as his knife and fork his the empty plate, Leo stretched his arms out wide to try and make himself more comfortable.

The pair were soon enough presented with the bill and Leo could see one bill arriving made Dustynn somewhat uncomfortable as she tried to get it split. He leant forward slightly and maneuvered a hand into his back pocket to remove his wallet. He opened it to reveal an assortment of various cards and a thick wad of cash. Apart from his house and car, Leo was actually quite frugal but he always made sure he had cash on hand just in case. He pulled the bill in close before throwing a couple of bank notes down ontop of it, leaving the waitress a healthy tip. "This is on me Dusty, I did invite you here after all. Besides, you get to pay me back with your singing in a couple of days." He smiled and hoped that she didn't have an issue with him covering the cost of meal. The world was changing and some women would get offended at the mere mention of a man paying for their food, it was something that he often laughed at. He and his friends would often pay for each others beers and food, it was just something that people who were close did...well for the most part. "Anyway, we should probably look at getting to the bar, i'm sure some of the regulars are waiting outside already."

Man collapses at Zoo on Wednesday

Sol City Zoo announced that a male who collapsed at the City Zoo was taken to Sol Memorial that afternoon. Local citizens and a staff member near Bear Mountain rushed to his aid and gave food and water until the man could be taken for further treatment. Sol City's Citizens continue to show that the light that makes SOL City famous is not just the bright night scenes but also the kindness and welcoming nature of its people. The exact names of those who helped are not being released.

Though we have had no further news on the man, Star Messenger wishes him a fast and full recovery.

Reports of someone trying to enter, and challenge an animal to a duel in a Zoo Spokesperson's own words where unfounded, "All our animals are accounted for and in good health. In a update to previous events, the Gender of Pokey's Calf is still unknown and keepers do not want to risk interfering as mother and calf are in a delicate stage of bonding."

Daedalus Airlines announces new flight training program

Deadalus Airlines has announced plans to recruit new pilots and add to its training center based at Old Sol International. The company training manager was quoted when we where invited to see a training class recently: "We are investing in Sol City, its people and if you ever had a dream to fly, now is a once in a life time chance to try."

Many of the pilots we spoke to at the centre come from varied places close and afar, one of there newest instructors, a Female Pilot from United Kingdom who requested we not publish her name praised the expansion and told our reporter who joined in on a lesson. "Its best job in the world, We don't need you to have experience, Just work hard and be willing to learn. Its not always easy, but it always rewarding"

Anyone who wishes to join the program or find out more information can find out on their website, or phone up and arrange an appointment at the Old Sol International training centre and see things for your own eyes.

...

Cyber Crime on the Rise

With the continuing work of the mayor's approved Federal taskforce, criminal elements in Sol City are seeking more opportunities in the nebulous digital realm. A spokesperson with the taskforce stated that cyber crime in the area was on the rise as the streets prove to be significantly less profitable than in days past. While spokesperson wouldn't give Star Messenger an exact figure, they did go on to say they are shifting a significant amount of attention to combating cyber crime around Sol.

Citizens should be vigilant as ever in their daily business when using bank and credit cards as well as any online correspondence they deem to be confidential.

...

WEATHER

SOL CITY continues to experience a much warmer than usual Winter season. Friday evening should be a comfortable night. You will need a jacket but its warmer than the past 12 year averages. The reported cold front is delayed due to warmer conditions, though citizens are advised to keep some basic supplies stocked just in case the weather changes rapidly.

Leo @CaptainSully x Dusty finishing their meal at The Coffee Pot // Home // Work // Friday Night at Club Aether
Leo paid for their meal, and even the extra to go order for her mother on top of it. Dustynn was very appreciative for the action and she let him know with a wide smile and a very genuine "Thank you Leo, you honestly just made my day." she cooed, nodded at the return favor of singing. She would definitely buy him something to eat or drink on Friday night as well to make up for his generosity this afternoon. She would need to rush home first before heading to work, but she agreed that some of the regulars were probably getting antsy, some were in the door waiting before she even clocked in for the day. That was one thing that was nice about Sol City- people were for the most part very consistent in their habits.

Dustynn put on her black leather jacket that hung on the back of the chair as the two stood up. Before parting Dustynn gave Leo a soft hug around his midsection, she wondered if it was inappropriate but she didn't care until after her arms were wrapped around him. He was a foot taller than her, but not in an intimidating sense. Dustynn tightened her grip in a quick squeeze before letting go and speaking again, "Thanks again, bye!" the words rushed from her lips, before she tacked on a, "See you at work in a few." she jangled her keys while she waved, hurrying out to her car so Leo could not see which way she was heading nor reprimand her about the hug.

If she was fired, she'd hope it was before she drove back to work.

Starting up her beater car, she sped out and away from The Coffee Pot. Dustynn was NOT a safe driver, honestly a bit on the reckless side but she hadn't had her license revoked yet so to her it meant that she couldn't be that bad of a driver. Using her right hand she reached over and turned on the radio and pumped up the volume. While doing this she fumbled with the heater settings as well. Sometimes the two did not work at the same time, but today she was in luck as they both seemed to be in her favor.

Not too long after getting on Interstate 23 she was exiting, pulling into the trailer park that she called home. The trailers were fairly close to one another but each had enough patio space for a car, some furniture and a barbecue if desired. Dustynn's home had one of the three due to some robberies in the area as of late. Climbing up the stairs she reached her hand out and slid open the front glass door, moving a few of the haphazard blinds out of her way. "Ma?" Dustynn called into the dim lit trailer. It was well past noon now and she thought her mother would be awake. Dustynn went around and opened some blinds, tidying up her sleeping area on the couch and did some light cleaning. "Ma?" she called again, putting her ear to the door of their one bedroom. Snoring could be heard through the cheap wood as she turned the handle and walked in.

The smell of vomit hit Dustynn's nose instantly as her hand reached up to cover her mouth and nostrils from the stench. "Fuck." she hissed, turning on the light to see her mother asleep in her own spew. "Ma, get the fuck up- you've got vomit everywhere and I need to go to work!" she went over and tried to clean up what she could without getting it all over the place. Her mother groaned a little, knocking over bottles off the nightstand. "I got you lunch. I can't deal with this right now, I gotta get back to work!" she called, leaving the styraform box on the corner of the bed. She watched it get kicked off and onto the floor, but she could not waste anymore time babysitting her own mother, so she closed the door behind her and left- heading back to work.

Work went on as usual, but a little bit of displeasure in Dustynn's tone for the first part of her shift, her thoughts drifting to her mother a bit, hoping that she was up when her shift ended that night and that she hadn't spent the entire night sleeping. As time went on she perked up a bit, becoming her normal self and enjoying the night.

Friday night could not come sooner as Dustynn dug through her front living room closet that was meant for coats, but held all of the girl's clothes. She wanted to look like she had dressed up a little bit, but not over the top- just in case it came off the wrong way. She almost always wore denim in some sort of way. Digging up a grey cocktail dress she decided she would wear her denim in the form of a jacket that she paired along with the simple but flattering short gown. Dressing it up with some black heels and some jewelry Dustynn felt rather pretty. She spent an hour taming her unruly hair, splitting it down the middle and doing boxer braids; a fun and flirty alternative to her usual unkempt hair.

Getting in her car, she drove back to her workplace- but this time for play, as she walked up to the bar and ordered a southern comfort shot to start her night out. "Put it on my tab!" she called over the loud music to her usual coworker and he gave her a thumbs up in response. She turned in her bar stool, adjusting the hem of her dress so it wasn't so far up on her thighs as she waited for the night to begin.

Paige Kennedy

-Marshal Service Annex, City Hall, Friday Morning-

The heavy manila file came down on the hardwood table with a satisfying thwack! that was just as Chief Deputy, Art Stirling intended as he passed them out around the table starting with Paige and moving on to the other deputies as he spoke. “Small-fry Friday ladies and gents!” He said with sarcastic excitement and rubbed his hands together. He had a few slides ready to go on a PowerPoint at the head of the table that corresponded with the files he passed out.

“Do we have to really call it that?” Paige grumbled. “’Small-fry Friday?’” She stared blankly when the folder hit the table. Her day started with an immense headache and she was scantly over it.

“Yes,” The Chief responded looking down on her like a boarding-school instructor, “Because I’m the boss and boss gets to pick out nicknames.”

“I love small-fry Friday, personally.” Her regular partner, Xi, said mockingly. He was completely awake and pivoted back and forth impatiently in his seat.

“Kiss-ass.” Paige shot back. The leather swivel chairs of the conference room were handsomely padded and she was enjoying sliding down into hers further and further.

“Kennedy, you look like hell.” The Chief said, “Were you out all night with the uhh, oh… What was it? the Horse Whisperer, again?”

“Blacksmith” Xi corrected. “You’re thinkin’ about the shoes.”

“Well, shit”

“You know, horses- shoes- blacksmith.” Xi said turning back to Paige. “It’s word association.”

“Have you been drug tested lately?” Paige snapped cutting her tired eyes over towards him. “And no, I was not.” She continued firmly. In truth, she and Sio had partaken in a local event at Corona Park known as “Thirsty Thursdays” and it was a hit. “I’m sorry I said anything. Now can we please get back to small-fry Friday?” She said flipping open the case jacket and starting to look it over.

Small-fry Friday was a roundup of sorts for the non-violent and less threatening criminal rundown of the Sol City district of the Marshal Service. Most were either on the run from courts in other states or had stolen large sums of money through extortion, bribery, con-jobs or some other method of ill-repute. The Chief actually did enjoy, at least for a day, taking his attention off the big files and focusing on getting his office’s numbers up by bringing in relatively easy-to-catch targets. That, and the fact the swooping arm of his deputies tended to catch the wayward fugitives by complete surprise, made for hilarious stories later on.

“First one up is CT Shader.” Art said starting the slide show. A scruffy looking, though smiling mugshot, appeared of a man in his mid-thirties with a bowl haircut, pencil-thin mustache and glasses. Paige rolled her eyes and shook her head. It was her file. “CT goes by the alias Shade, Shadetree, 2Shad or,” He angled the paper slightly away from himself to make sure he was reading correctly and pushed his glasses up, “2-Shad-4-U,” He pronounced slowly. Everyone looked at their files making it immediately evident Paige would be handling the oddly titled computer hacker. Snickers went around the room. “A few days ago CT shut down a poker website and rerouted all the winnings into bitcoin that he then passed all over the planet while skimming it back for himself.” The deputies all looked on quietly. Cyber-crimes were not their forte, but they knew the perp had to be physically nearby for the Chief to have him on his list. “Oh it gets better folks,” He continued. “After he shut down the website he made a creative little modification to the homepage.” He changed the slide and everyone immediately chuckled. The new slide displayed the website address along with an official looking message: Domain Seized by United States Marshall Service. Everyone knew Marshal was spelled with only a singular ‘l’ at the end and was a common error. The rest of the page carried the official seal along with a phone number. “As you can imagine, our phone lines got rather lively with asshole gamblers trying to find out why we seized their winnings, but as it turns out, spell-check may have fucked poor CT. One our surveillance aircraft just happened to catch a phone call between CT and someone else on the Western Shore, where we know he’s hanging out now.”

“So let me get this straight,” Paige said. “He can do all this crazy junk with computers, but he can’t spell Marshal correctly?”

“That’s about the gist of it.” The Chief replied.

“This whole country is circling the drain.” She said channeling the sentiment of one of her early mentors. “Just gimmie a couple hours, I’ll get him.”

--------------------------------

Western Shore

About two hours later Paige was scoping out the Western Shore apartment that the surveillance aircraft targeted as CT’s latest hangout. She’d been sitting in her little blue BMW for about thirty minutes just watching the fourth floor unit and listening to some conservative talk radio channel, but not seeing any activity, was about to head up and take care of business. Finishing off a coffee and adjusting her holster slightly behind her jacket as she got out, she ran her fingers over the spot on the rear fender where Milo’s temporary squeeze, that paraplegic ghost of woman, had dug a healthy gash in the paint during a passive-aggressive fit of jealousy. The bill from Sol City BMW was not cheap, but Paige reluctantly dug into her split with the bounty hunter and paid it off. Though the car was not hers, she swore then she would not let Asset Seizures auction it out from underneath her no matter what.

Western Shore was more to her liking and as she walked along the sidewalk finding the yards nicely kept and streets clean of debris it reminded her a little of the small neighborhood where her parents lived in Florida. People kept up their own lawns, everyday cars were parked in the concrete driveways and children’s toys could be seen in a few backyards. Real people lived here and it was refreshing. Keeping a steady eye on the fourth floor and watching around her, she could picture her parents’ home for a moment: Her dad mowing the grass, the tired old 4Runner she drove in high school and college sitting in the driveway next to his pickup and her mother outside running the pressure washer. Milo had told her not to dwell on it so much, but some things did genuinely make her feel good and she had a slight smile thinking about them.

With her star and gun mostly concealed behind her jacket, she blended right in and with her hair down, nonchalantly ascended the four flights of stairs passing a couple of younger girls on her way up who paid her no mind at all. She knocked lightly on the door of the apartment and waited.

There was a heavy click! inside the metal door as the deadbolt was drawn away and the lock on the knob was turned. A fairly hefty young man happily opened the door wide enough for her to get a sweeping view of the inside behind him. CT was seated at a computer desk with his back to her hammering away at a keyboard with one hand and playing a fighting game on the TV with the other. His head only twitched slightly between the two screens. She didn’t know much about video games, but being able to play it one handed seemed mildly impressive. “Hi,” She said to the boy that opened the door with her brightest smile. He was much taller than her and blushed heavily stammering for a response. She could see the trancelike state her green eyes put over him and it was immediately obvious no woman had set foot in the apartment since the lease started. “Is CT in?” She added a touch of southern inflexion to the question and stepped on through the doorway unhindered.

Hearing his name, CT turned back over his shoulder. His look was serious and accusatory towards his larger roommate. “Bobby! What the hell?! We talked about this!” He barked.

“But it’s a girl.” Bobby replied as if the argument were more than enough to calm all other concerns. CT needn’t be so critical of their guest.

Paige calmly strolled on through. It was surprisingly clean for a single man’s hideout and smelled nice to boot. Props to Bobby for keeping a nice place. She thought. “Time to go, CT.” She drew her jacket back slightly revealing her star and gun.

“She’s a cop you dumbass!” CT snarled.

“Oh… shit, sorry bro.” Bobby looked both defeated and disappointed. He slumped his shoulders.

“You know you can’t just come barging up in here,” CT said turning back to Paige. “We got rights.”

“He let me in.” She said giving Bobby another innocent glance.

As she turned back, CT bolted for a sideroom and slammed the door behind him. Paige sighed and shook her head. Walking over to the door she put one hand on her sidearm and turned the knob. Locked.

“You’re not gonna shoot him are you?’ Bobby asked worriedly.

“I’ll just knick him in the leg for being mean to you, Bobby.” Paige replied with feigned sympathy. He melted at the sound of her saying his name. She pounded on the door. “CT open up, I don’t have all day for this…” Her words faded away as she could hear a commotion on the other side of the wooden door and then the distinctive sound of blinds being drawn up and a window opening. Taking a quick step back she kicked the door open in time to find her fugitive tossing a bag out the open window then with only enough hesitation to look back at her slightly amazed face from window frame, jumped out.

Paige dashed up to the window ledge and glanced over finding CT slowly pulling himself out of a dumpster. “You gotta be shittin’ me.” She said watching him hobble over and pick up his bag. There was a moped parked next to his landing pad and after he threw one leg over and started it up he glanced back up over his shoulder and gave her the finger before tottling off up the street.

--------------------------------

City Hall

“So tell me again,” Xi grimaced. “He was like some kind of nerd, go-bag Bear Grylls?”

“He was surprisingly spry.” Paige said. They were again in the conference room back at Central Point. Xi listened to Paige tell the story of CT’s escape while she filled out the incident report. Not knowing a lot about computers, she had taken the laptop he left behind and a few other items from the apartment before she returned: All of which were spread over the table. The Chief and a younger man from their Cyber Crimes division were looking through the lot of it.

“Between rolling in here hungover and the drain-circling computer nerd, you are on fire today.” Xi chided. Paige shot him the same glare as she had earlier.

“Well, there is some good news,” The young man said from behind CT’s laptop. His fingers hammered away rapidly. He liked the busy sound of it and the fact that he was the only one in the room that knew what he was doing with the captured items. The Chief leaned in behind him glancing over his glasses to get a better look at the screen. “Shutdown notice isn’t on the site anymore.” He said turning the screen around for Paige and Xi to both get a look. “He’s replaced it with a link to his blog and a big, bold post he made about how he just gave ‘Sheriff Barbie’ the slip.”

Xi cackled.

“I’ll find him.” Paige said flatly.

“Might have to let CC see if they can get another line on him first,” Art said sipping his coffee mug.

“C’mon, guy jumps out a fourth-story window into a dumpster, almost breaks his back then gives me the bird before he gets away on a moped.” Paige replied. “I love this guy, let me catch him.”

“Think you can pull anything off there that will help us today?” Art said turning back to the CC officer.

“He’s definitely a pro, but he’s cocky.” The young man replied. “Gimmie a few hours.”

“Can I reply to that post?” Paige asked studying the screen. The chief shrugged and she immediately leaned over the table and started typing:

Just keep on blogging CT, I’ll get you tonight.
-HB

“What’s ‘HB’ stand for?” The man asked.

“It’s an inside joke.” Paige smirked and posted the reply.

Friday nights were a great a reason to be alive, it was a time everyone who was anyone journeyed to Club Aether to enjoy what was often a rather insane but enjoyable night. Walking through the entrace Leo took a few minutes to talk to the four bouncers stood outside, each towering above the six foot one Leo. Giant teddy bears when things were quiet, if things ever kicked off they were quick to action. Fortunately they were mostly for show given how laid back people tended to be in the club. As he entered he scanned the biometric ID card all bars and clubs on The Run required. With a beep and flashing green light the gate in front of him swung open and he began to make his way down the long corridor. The walls were illumated by bright, pale purple lights in the floor every metre or so. It was a somewhat unique appearance, particularly for a metal bar, but it was something Leo's brother had designed during the bars creation.

Turning the corner at the end of the corner, Leo was presented with the usual sight of a Friday...a packed out Club Aether. People dressed in casual wear, band shirts, gothic attire and different other attire. Leo wore a black dinner suit with a long black tie, something a bit more formal than he would normally wear, but he had a reason to look his best on this particular friday. He scanned the bar and his eyes immediately caught sight of Dustynn. She was dressed in a way he had never seen before, the usual denim clad woman wore a dress and for a moment Leo had to pause. He felt a nervousness sweep over him as he looked over at her. You can't just keep staring at her all night...what if she sees you? Get over there! His inner voice was often the bossy sort but it rarely led him wrong. Listening to it he made his way over to the bar.

Leo approached stealthily and took a seat behind her, watching as she glanced around the dance floor. He raised his hand to gesture to one of his bar staff and greeted them with a smile. "Hey boss...you having the usual?" Leo nodded, "Of course. Cheers." With his order placed he returned his focus to Dustynn as she turned to see him sat there. The smile on his face did nothing to hide the fact he was happy to see her. "What do you want to drink?" Leo asked, ordering whatever it was she asked for. "I really am glad that you're here. I'm sure we are going to have a great night." The two drinks he ordered were placed down onto the bar, a hearty head sat atop his golden coloured beer. He took a large gulp from the drink, it was his first for a couple of weeks and how he had missed it. "Anyway, before we start our night out properly I need to do my usual thing...plus...I have a surprise for you." He got up from his chair and winked at Dustynn, a cheeky grin accompanying the suggestive wink. "Come with me." He took hold of her hand and carefully guided her through the dancefloor.

Gliding along the dance floor the pair reached the stage, three people already atop it making final adjustments to the various instruments. "I hope you enjoy this." The music was particularly loud on the dancefloor so Leo had to shout, still managing to keep his smile. Realising he still had a hold of Dustynn's hand he began to turn red slightly, letting it go. "Sorry." He leapt up onto the stage and looked down at her with one last grin before gesturing to the DJ booth to the right hand side of the stage. The music quietened and the dancing ceased, the attention of the bar turning to it's owner on the stage.

"How are we doing tonight Sol City?" There were cheers throughout the crowd, people raising their glasses and sporadic claps. "I see alot of the usual faces in here tonight but also some new ones. Whether you've been here before or not, welcome to Club Aether...the best place to be on a Friday night. Everyone knows we are a metal club but on a Friday it is pretty much a case of anything goes. So up until eleven we'll be having our usual open mic. If you want to showcase your skills just drop your details to the DJ over there and he'll get you added to the list. From eleven until the early hours will be when things get really good. We have our karaoke band ready for you all to get up on here and sing your hearts out!" Cheers erupted once more, the karaoke nights of Club Aether were the stuff of legend. Rather than being based off pre-recorded tracks, they had an in house band that could play pretty much anything anyone could ask for. It truly was a unique experience that only the Aether could provide. The live band along with a large crowd made for a truly enjoyable night whether singing or just partaking in the festivities. As the cheers died down Leo moved to the back of the stage and picked up an electric guitar, placing the strap over his shoulder. Moving back to the microphone, the group who had finished setting everything up took up their own instruments. "Usually at this point i'd hand over to you guys but given there are so many fresh faces tonight..." Leo looked down at Dustynn as he spoke "...I thought i'd surprise you all with a take of a cheesey nineties classic! Welcome to Club Aether!"

For a brief moment Leo got to grips with the guitar before the drummer led them into their song. Soon a familiar riff began to erupt throughout the club, almost drowned out by the cheers from the crowd. Leo played it flawlessly as it began to sing the opening lyrics. "She's into superstitions, black cats and voodoo dolls, I feel a premonition, that girl's gonna make me fall." With each word Leo's trademark smile grew wider and wider. Looking out over the crowd he could see people headbanging, dancing and even a small circle pit formed off to the side. "She's into new sensation, new kicks in the candlelight, she's got a new addiction, for every day and night." Leo look down at Dustynn, winking at her with a smile. "She'll make you take your clothes off and go dancing in the rain. She'll make you live her crazy life but she'll take away your pain, like a bullet to your brain...COME ON EVERYBODY!" The crowd erupted into song as Leo began to belt out the chorus. "Upside inside out, she's livin' la vida loca. She'll push and pull you down, livin' la vida loca. Her lips are devil red, and her skin's the color of mocha. She will wear you out, Livin' la vida loca. She's livin la vida loca!"

The rest of the song went as well as the beginning and with the final, "Livin' la vida loca!", the band played a brief outtro before bringing the song to an end. The applause and cheers were deafening, the crowd a mixture of smiles and laughs at what they had just seen. "Thank you everyone, have yourselves a great night! Thank you!" Putting the guitar back Leo then leapt off the stage in front of Dustynn. He began to laugh as he tried to speak, "So how was that for a surprise?" The few times Leo had got up on stage previously had all been to play the heaviest of heavy metal. This was the first time he had taken to the open mic night to play anything so cheesey. Suffice to say he had enjoyed it and deep down he hoped Dustynn had too.

Marcus Ainsworth

Friday Night

Club Aether

“Can I got home yet?” Marcus mumbled after finishing off a pint of beer. The young musician did not look happy to be out of the comfort of his bed, but the tall, handsome man sitting across from him seemed determined to cheer him up. “No, you’ve done nothing but sit at home and mope for two weeks. So we’re staying out, and we’re going to have fun! Okay? I’ll get us another round, try to smile a bit when I get back, alright?”
This elicited a heavy sigh and a roll of the eyes from Marcus, but he also nodded, sitting up straighter as his best friend, Chris, went to the bar to get another round. Chris was in many ways the polar opposite of Marcus. A confident, optimistic go-getter, who never took no for an answer. Even though he often drove Marcus crazy, he also was often the only one who could drag him out of his darker times.

As he sat alone for a few moments, Marcus’ attention was drawn to the stage, as the club owner gave his usual speech, opening up Open-Mic night. Marcus had been to, and played at his fair share of Club Aether’s Open-Mic nights, so he knew the deal. But apparently tonight was different. The man himself started playing a heavy rendition of Livin’ La Vida Loca, which was definitely a surprise. Even the down in the dumps Marcus couldn’t help but smirk and nod his head a bit at this. It was pretty damn good too. He put his hands together in applause as the song came to a close, still sporting a slight smile.

“Finally something’s got you smiling.” Chris teased with a snicker as he sat back down at their table, setting another pint of beer down in front of Marcus, who responded with another roll of his eyes. “Even the most cynical of people would’ve smiled at that. I’m depressed, not heartless.” The friends shared a brief smirk before Marcus took a long sip of his drink. “Thanks…” He mumbled softly. Though he gave no context for gratitude, Chris knew what he meant. “No worries, bud. You know I’m always here for you. You just have to let me in.”
“Yeah, I know. It’s just hard sometimes, ya know?”
“But it gets easier when you let people help you. But, we’re out to party tonight. We can talk tomorrow, okay?”
“I couldn’t agree more.” Marcus smiled again, the most genuine smile he had given in weeks.

“So, you gonna get up there tonight?” Chris asked, motioning towards the stage. His question was greeted by several stern shakes of Marcus’ head. “Definitely not. Besides, I didn’t bring my shit with me. I couldn’t if I wanted to.”
“You could do karaoke later?” Chris suggested with a sly smirk. “There’s more beer in it for you.”
Marcus sighed, though he chuckled a little at his friend. “You’re a bad influence…”
“So is that a yes?”
“It’s a maybe…”
“I’ll take it!” The optimistic giant exclaimed enthusiastically, raising his glass to Marcus, who met it with his own, unable to help but laugh a little. “You better keep to your end of the deal.”

THOMAS LANCASTER

Sol City Zoo

After a while, the zoo security had the hungry man taken away, presumably, then later confirmed in the newspaper, hospital. Damn he really wish that guy well. Life simply couldn't nurture everybody, is it? Thomas later part way with Sarah and Alex, with the hopes that they may meet again on the street somehow.

'If consciousness were to be replicated in a machine, then neurophilosophy would have to shift to the body instead of the mind. It is the perspective in which the conscious mind is made up in a form of a specific computation. How it is formed from the brain itself, if it is to be defined, it would be another direction, another dimension of space...'

If Thomas was to discover how this computation works and is formed, he would be treading on new grounds that he, and nobody else in this world, had never walked on before. Surely, there had been brilliant neuroscientists hypothesizing about the physical formulation of consciousness, but there were not enough sufficient proofs to soundly validate and revolutionize their work.

"Though what if we try to find a correlation between the brain's electromagnetic wave and how the brain saves data and information."

The neurons in our brains when interacting with one another would generate a certain sort of wave quite similar to a radio wave, but probably only a billionth of it in terms of strength. It was hard to measure, but the electromagnetism if traced down into its roots may uncover how we store information, like memories of certain past events. But our technology has not developed enough to compile those messages. It was barely enough to track down that there really are waves coming out of our brains.

Thomas removed the glass from his face as he sighed. If he simply waited out for those technology to arrive, then he would have become an old man by then. He need not wait. He could theorize the method instead. If he could develop enough mathematical support, it would suffice to say that it would open a lot of doors.

"I can only hope --cough-- that I can --cough-- take --cough cough--" His voice turned completely incomprehensible. He spent another few seconds in a violent fits of cough, trying to clear his throat.

"Are you alright?" A womanly voice, coming from the apartment's kitchen. And from there emerged a lady, probably in her late twenties, with waist-length black hair, carrying a tray with two cups of tea on it. She looked a little worried, as her subject of care was displaying some disturbing signs.

"cough -- I'm alright. I'm alright. It may be just me drinking a little much cold water the other day." Thomas replied, as his voice line soon returned to normal.

"That's why I always tell you to be careful with your diet." She said, to which he frowned in annoyance.

"You can't be too strict with that rules of yours, Jeanie. It's not like I became sick frequently or something." He replied as he put his glasses on again before brushing his hair upward.

"But anyway, how's your PhD work going?" She said, switching subjects.

"Well, a section needs more research. Too many unanswered questions. Probably gonna take half to another year for that." Thomas replied, scrubbing his large forehead.

"A year?" She was in shock "I don't understand people like you sometimes. Those professors and doctors. I don't get how you can stand that many hours doing nothing but reading books, commencing experiments hundreds of times and still manage to be sane." She said, frowning her eyes a bit, but still sound lively.

"That's what makes them so incomprehensible." Thomas immediately countered, to which the girl laughed.

"Still, do you know what is today?" She asked suggestively.

"It's Friday." But he didn't catch it at first.

"Of course it's Friday dummy. Look, there is a Late Night Event at Club Aether. A good opportunity to hangout you know."

"I'm not so fond of loud places though." He replied.

"Still, there are people that may interests you. Perhaps find someone that can be there with you for the rest of your lives."

The Solaris student rolled his eyes. After the zoo visit, he did lock himself inside his room only doing his research after all. It felt a little lonely.

"Well, you're not wrong."

"So is that a yes?"

The man simply shrugged his shoulder as he looked at his nurse in the eyes. What did she think the answer was?
Club Aether

It looked like he came just in time as the performance was going on. As Jeanie was pushing him through the entrance, the song came to Thomas's mind as Livin' La Vida Loca. While not entirely a favorite genre, it was pretty good by his standard. Good enough that by the time the song ended, Thomas actually clapped his hand, not out of politeness, but genuinely, knowing that the guy actually deserved the applause.

Though this may be a little too metallic for his taste, he nevertheless needed a little air after all that time in his room. And, with a little help from Jeanie, he was quite prepared for it, sporting a nice orange suit with dark purple ties. Now that he was present in this crowded place, he did not intend to spend it by himself.

Joseph looked up at the… blurry shape… who offered him their water.

“Thanks… I can’t make out your face, so I’m gonna say… Either Mystique or Deadpool. Just wanna cover my bases.”

He turned to the zoolady, who asked if he could drink it.

“Yeah, nah, don’t worry Jean. I may not be able to… stand, apparently, but I dragged myself over here, so at least my arms work.”

He looked over to the guy in the wheelchair.

“Birds of a feathe… You know, I think my brain just caught up with me, my eyes are clearing up, and despite what I was thinking before, you aren’t, in fact, Professor Xavier. I’m very sorry about that, and also the joke I thankfully hold back. I know you probably wanna take me up on what I asked before and throw me into the bear enclosure, but the answer for your question is… I think eight days. Maybe more. New record, actually. I… I don’t really know what I’m saying anymore, and I still kinda wanna eat that bear if I get the chance.”

He turned back to the zoo lady again.

“Don’t tell security or Angela about that last bit. Hey, look, my food!”

He looked excitedly at the… probably Deadpool… as he brought his food over.

“Thanks Wade.” He said, reaching out to the food. His expression morphed to horror and rage, as Zoo Lady pushed it all away. “Hey hey hey! That’s dogs, not people! Come on!”

Eventually, he just sighed, as she handed him a single chicken salad.

“Ok, I don’t know if you’ve heard of me, but I’m the legendary Joseph Moore. The guy who finished a bottle of absinthe on an empty stomach in ten minutes, and didn’t even have a stomach ache the next morning. Just starvation. But even then, I was able to eat four peoples worth of breakfast food, and survived at least an extra month and a half. The point is I’m kind of awesome when it comes to this kind of thing.”

He looked to the pile, and back to the people present.

“Anyway, I’m sorry about the wheelchair jokes, and the bit where I thought Deadpool was a girl, that was insensitive of me, but I heard there was a party later this week, and I gotta get my costume sorted out. So, I’ll just take my food, thank you, and… I’ll see you on Friday!”

And then he quickly scooped up as much food as he could and sprinted away.

He had to get back to his alley!

Of course, he made it about ten metres before he dropped most of his food, stumbled while trying to pick it up without stopping, and realized he needed more food before he could get up. A few minutes later, the ambulance pulled up, and despite his protests, they pulled him inside and drove off.

A few days later, he found himself back in his good old alley, the one near town hall. Unfortunately, he’d just gotten out of hospital earlier that day, and didn’t have the time to make a new outfit.

Luckily, he just so happened to have stashed an old classic close by.

“Hello, my old friend. It’s been a long time. Like, at least a month.”

And later that night, he found himself at the famous… ‘famous’… Club Aether.

“Man, nice place to reintroduce myself to the city.” He said, looking around in his trademark cardboard suit. “Now if only there were three drunk, morally defective deficits to humanity I could make fun of. Seriously, I haven’t seen Fidel Fatro in ages, I almost miss the stupid lump. Actually, I haven’t seen most of the guys from back then. Where are the others?”

Ethan Aster

Location: Sol City Airport; Club Aether

Interaction: Band mates; Marcus@Zaxter996

The plane touched down lightly on the tarmac Friday morning. The way would be clear of most fans. And he be able to enjoy the drive home. A couple of the other guys from the band where from around these parts. One of the other guys was from Detroit. But they had all decided as a group to come back to the city and just play cool for at least a little while. Ethan stretched in his first class seat and moved to stand up when the stewardess confirmed that it was his turn to leave. Reaching above the seat into the compartment for carry-on luggage he took out his carry on. It was a simple Black Backpack with nothing fancy on it very clean very straightforward it's what was in it that was special. His journals. Song journals for every set they had ever done and every cover that they had ever played. Dates times locations you name it if it had anything to do with the band it was in there. Ethan was very meticulous about writing all of this down he always kept his journals with him no matter where he was.

When Ethan stepped off the plane he knew that today was going to be a good day.

Amazingly enough the day hadn't dragged by and Ethan had been able to relax and take a nap before the night out he had planned with the guys. Club Aether was a new addition to the Sol scene since he hadn't been back for over five years. The guys had agreed that some R&R was a requirement and they wanted to work on some songs from home. Dressing to fit the scene Paul their lead guitarist fit right in with his Victorian Gothic style. Drew their drummer was much more laid back with his casual outfit. Tobias who played bass guitar was from Detroit and had more of a punk rock feel. Ethan was much more subdued outfit since he was the most easily recognized by fans. They rented a limo for the evening and went out.

On the ride there Paul brought up the discussion they all dreaded but needed to happen. “So what are we doing if we're recognized?”

On cue Tobias groaned. “Dammit he's right. Why did we agree to go out again?”

Drew sighed heavily. “Tobias don't be salty that you agreed to this because we asked when you were drunk and willing to say yes to just about anything. I'm tired of you trying to lay on the guilt like a Catholic schoolgirl who lost her virginity at prom. This is about relaxing. Paul is wearing too much guy liner to be recognized by more than a hardcore fan. You haven't shaved in a week. Ethan is dressed down and probably comfortable for once. Rather than looking like Freddy Mercury, Adam Ant and David Bowie as Jareth from the Labyrinth had a love child like he normally does.” He turned to Ethan. “No offense man cause you're still able to pull that shit off. Don't know how you do it but the tail must be worth it. Then turned back to Tobias. “Me I personally would love to be recognized and get some hotties number. So shut up and deal.”

Ethan chuckled softly. “One it's good PR and two how do you not expect to get recognized? We rented a limo. People pay attention to that stuff.” Ethan looked out the window as the limo slowed down at the club entrance. “As they say the show must go on. Tobias you're first.”

They existed the limo Tobias, Drew, Paul and Ethan last. They drew stares and there was a little bit of a fuss that started to move through the crowd and get bigger as they exited the limo, one by one. By the time they got into the club it had just started to reach a dull roar with fans, mostly women screaming random members names. They were all equally popular so they all waved and went in all smiles.

Drew the talker and ever practical one had set aside a VIP section for them to retreat to if needed. Plus the security detail was informed of their arrival time and it made things smoother that a few of the guys that worked for Nikki, their security boss were from around here.

The guys moved in just as the club owner was announcing nightly events and sang Livin’ La Vida Loca. Ethan looked around and nodded as the other three went to mingle they nodded back gesturing to a roped off section all of them knowing that was the fall back point if things got weird. With that they went their separate ways for now. Ethan slides up to the closest bar and orders a rum and coke as he's waiting on it he catches the conversation between the two men. “I hate to intrude but if you're looking for a big break then you have to put yourself out there. No one knows what you can do till you do it. Unless of course you're the type that just wants to complain you never got a shot. Truth is you can't wait for your moments. You have to take them, and keep on taking them. Nothing ventured. Nothing gained. But like I said it depends if you're a complainer or a doer. Just saying.” Ethan knows his voice has that hypnotic quality and uses it to his advantage to have people pay attention to him. He holds the light brown haired guy’s gaze and grabs his drink sipping it and shrugs. “Name's Ethan.” He holds out his hand to shake the light brown haired guy's hand, who is about a head shorter than him.

Siobhan

Location: Apex Designs

Interaction: Joel @Pilatus

Thirsty Thursday had tried to kill Siobhan, or at least that's how it seemed. Waking up around two in the afternoon and missing the morning light she had wanted to work with made her a bit snarky. Hopefully Joel could appreciate that, possibly not. Siobhan had been here for a while now and there had been some things bugging her for a bit.

Joel had walked away during the Gala party thing but she couldn't figure out why. And did Marilania know how much time she was spending with him? Were they together? Marilania seemed to project that aura but Joel, not so much. Their pairing confused her. Marilania was perfect for Ren or had been till he left. So now was the perfect time to ask Joel right? Wait, then he might think she was interested in him. Question of the year there.

Joel was...well different. She didn't know how to explain it other than that. He was interesting. Okay so she was interested but she didn't want to admit it...at least not out loud. That was a major, neon, flashing sign of DANGER in massive capital font if there ever was.

Drawn out of her musing over Joel due to not having anything left in her Blue Moon she got up and grabbed two waters. She'd only have one each time she came over due to the fact that she had to drive back home. She also thought Joel was probably thirsty. He'd probably prefer a beer but he was going to need the water. She walked over to him and getting his attention opened his water and handed it to him. She really needed his advice on how to take care of her racing issue with the lack of a car and the other stuff...about him. Previous behavior and if she needed to watch out for Marilania due to them being an item.

“So something has been bugging me recently. A few things actually. I was wondering what the reason was behind you walking away from everyone else when Victoria decided to cut me out of the ‘fun'.” She cleared her throat then took a deep breath. “I have an issue with a jerk who doesn't know the difference between shit and apple butter. Since he insisted that turbo was better than a naturally aspirated system for racing and since I shot my mouth off and made him look bad he wants to race me and I don't have a car making this awkward. Plus I keep seeing his stupid car around or at least I think I do.” That part was said nonchalantly and not looking Joel in the eye. Then she looked up making eye contact. “And do I have to worry about Marlin trying to eat me for lunch? What I mean is are you dating her? I just want to know if I have to worry about offending someone.” She paused taking a swig of her water waiting for his answer, well answers.

Romus Sisters

Victoria Darya Romus "Vika"
&
Marinalia Romus Olympus "Mali"

Mixed locations about the city . Friday Evening

Marinalia had a busy week and looking forward for a weekend to relax and maybe see what was going on in the city, being a flight instructor was not always the most relaxed job but she loved it none the less as her student eased down the power to land with a a little bit of a jolt having not quite got there touch right. Letting them try first, not too many mistakes, and she went back over the whole landing procedure before she waved them off for the weekend.

ease it back slower next time. Good progress, let's go over the drill first, it's mostly there, so let's try and have that one test ready by next weekend.

Thursday was fairly calm and she had spent a few hours helping in classroom, and then talking to a few prospective applicants. They had not formally announced things but a few already in pipeline had come to have a look. Marinalia did not mind, everyone had to start somewhere. Most never had flown more than a few hours, so they where mostly starting from square one.

Putting past thoughts aside, Friday night was coming and they had planned to go out for first time in a while, life had been so busy, now it was calm, Victoria had insisted that Marlin get out and be abit more normal again. Her sister was right, she should get out and about. Driving out of the airport giving guards a wave and cruised down the main highway and home, what did you wear to a metal place? This club had a night on near centre Point. Gliding through the gates and pulling up in one of the garages of the Manor, it definitely had a better feeling. Somthing about the place felt like home.

Past the large more open lower level and up the stairs to the living room and it's tall glass windows that overlooked the gardens and light streamed in the park side through the glass and the 3 story open entrance area. For a city house in North America it was light as a Italian Villa and felt like a another world, its own little world in the chaos and frantic city.

Texting Joel. She had no idea when he would of got back, but probbly should be by now. He said 2-3 weeks and it was nearly 3 weeks since he had departed for Japan. She did not know what to say, but she wanted to try and not burn down what was left of the bridges.

Hey Joel.

Hope you had a good trip in Japan, and it was a safe flight home. Not sure when you back, so hopefully I'm right.

For what's it worth... Thanks. Things are alot better now. New house, new job. Back flying and happier.

Finishing off and re reading it, before sending it a few times, she enclosed a picture of her happily in front seat of a helicopter, with flight school livery and a in aviators, flight jacket and the classic office uniform.

Not sure if it was a good idea to add, but it just showed she had managed to get past things abit more and also she loved that picture anyway.

...

Marlin was busy getting ready on the 3rd floor, her clothes scattered about and throwing the doors open a door to her small living room that a joined the bedroom in frustration and flopped onto sofa. After a few minutes she ended up picking a fitted black dress, shorter and above the knee and a slightly more daring partly backless design. Keeping with her silver necklace of 3 moons over a planet swapping it onto a longer chain hanging a a little lower than day to day short chain close to her neck, and a little black fake leather jacket. Nipping over to bathroom and sorting out her hair and make up... She definitely looked striking, a replacement for the dress she had worn at jazz night and was taken as evidence.

Twirling a a little in a full lengh mirror in bedroom, it looked good, and ended up going with healed leather boots, the city was a a little cooler than she was used too and strappy heals however pretty, lost to a more practical choice. They still showed off her long toned legs well, and all said and done. She had to say she definitely looked quite good and watched the tree sway in garden from balcony, enjoying abit of fresh air and calming down a little before she head to head out.

Victoria had been working a few extra hours thanks to the recent cyber attacks hitting a all time high, and her part time days and become nearly full time at the end of the week. Blimey they where a real pain at times... Not always difficult just alot of work to keep out thr big fishbwherevyet to reveal themselves.

Friday the jokes had come thick and fast, when her rarely ever used title was discovered by someone on her formal ID, as it had to display it as legal birth name. "Lady" Victoria Darya Romus. There was no money in it, and so. It and a few bits and bobs where all that remained. It never carried any use in America anyway. They would get bored... Eventually... For now she had hered about ever bad joke they had, and a few requests for Lara croft outfit to work as a a little off colour humour. Trying to concentrate on work she ignored the joke of the day.

Returning back from she had exchanged a few messages with Ashton over the past few days and sent a cheerful message wishing her a good weekend. Pulling out the underground car park and turned down through the traffic to Park View, gliding past the larger homes that bordered the park, many with tall gates and walls, or planting. They all valued there privacy even of a few definitely looked worse for wear and needed love and someone living there.

After a quick dinner, she logged into her computer, there definitely was somthing going on, the city situation was plain strange. She had only had time to glance at paper. Mostly a man fell ill at the zoo, and Rhino was plain adorable. The office was quiet, it faced the garden and leant back as the computer booted up.

closing the computer down she headed out and felt glad they where talking more again, though the used the private encrypted system as both knew how insecure and monitored the main websites where. The encryption was point to point and solely could only be accessed when you knew the exact method to decide the data and the equation that roated the security keys. On top of that get 1023 right, and one wrong and the system would lock you out and rotate the key. It was paranoid but she had made good money bring paranoid.

Heading upstairs she found a rather short black and dark purple dress, with dark tights and studded biker style ankle boots. Sticking with her simple small blood red necklace, she added a bracelet in similar colours. It certainly looked nice and suited her new style. Short but it was not trashy.

She did look rather slight as it was fairly tight but she had to work with what she had. A simple make up later, mostly foundation, lips and her eyes. She kept it all in a similar purples and red range to suit her outfit. Keeping her skin lighter balenced nicely to the dark clothes, brighter blue and purple vertical highlights in her hair and throwing a light weight dark jacket with a red lining, they had a cloakroom but it might be a wait outside and she hated the cold. Adding a little silver raven pin added to her dress, it was a fun little nod. She liked ravens for some reason. She had a somewhat affinity for there birds despite there nature of carrion animals.

...

Victoria had her arm looped Round her sisters as she nudged her in, Marlin needed a night out... And Vika would make her. She had been Suprised at her new look but admired Vika looked gorgeous tonight and the changes had definitely upped her confidence in herself and image. Marlin was not quite so sure on the metal club but she had gone for more a light biker chick look with fake leather jacket and long blonde hair hanging down her back.

There was some kind of event outside or someone big had come i a nd lot of shouting as the two women handed over the local cards they used here, though they gave the bouncer a little flirt and wink as they went by into the club. Not sure what to exoect given the previous ruckus outside. They had quickly arranged the local cards they needed for the area. It had its own ID. It was strange but the clubs where meant to be safe here, and had a reputation for good nights and no nonsense attidutes to trouble makers.

They saw a handsome group relaxing by the bar, and a few others and so where gathered getting drinks. A man on stage was belting out the PA in the club. Well this night was definitely not going to be dull! Victoria gave a once over and laughed, they definitely at least looked diffrent. A gothic, punk and a more causal guy. Victoria found herself sliding more to alternative look of layer, now she felt more comfortable to express herself and her identity.

Cute Targets but the bar! Let's go. Oh come on... Let's have some fun

Suppose It cannot hurt... Next time I'm deciding where we go!

Matching grey eyes scanning the bar before two sisters wandered over, one slightly dragged by the other and both wondered what the metal bar had for drinks... More spirits than anything, but a good range... Though they both knew that would be a hard start to the night. They passed a man wheel chair and orange suit that stood out in the darker venue, excusing selves past politely and tapping feet to the rather lively group on stage.

one white wine please and a single Vodka, extra coke for my sister.

Smiling to the bar woman as the two women, one a taller more athletic blonde in a shorter black dress and fake leather jacket, and much smaller raven haired slightly gothic woman found a spot at bar before they would have to fight to get through later on. Going lighter on drinks, this was not there party, and recent events had made them more cautious. Marlin was a little more cautious than Victoria who seemed to have come into her own in the past month or so, Marlin was happy for her, and glad to see her sister living and enjoying life.

It was time to have some fun but on there own terms abit, they where dressed to show after all, even Marlin seemed to slide a a little out her shell and the old slightly cheeky self snuck it's way out abit more. They looked after each other.even of others did not understand.

Marcus Ainsworth

Club Aether

Marcus was slightly caught off guard as rather tall, long haired man injected himself into his and Chris’ conversation, with a rather inspirational, albeit a bit blunt, speech. The man’s voice had a pleasant, soothing tone to it, which made the words sink in that much more, although the intense eye contact made the introvert a little uneasy. Marcus shifts his gaze over to his friend for a moment, who smirked widely, knowing just how relevant the stranger’s words were to Marcus. “Exactly what I’ve been trying to tell you for years, Marc.”

Marcus gave Chris a look before giving his attention back to the man, who had just introduced himself as Ethan. “I’m Marcus…” He responded softly with a shy smile as he shook Ethan’s hand. “And, uh, yeah. I guess you’re right. I’ve never really been much of a doer, honestly.”
“On several fronts.” Chris chimed in with a snicker, which earned him another stern look from Marcus, which only got another laugh from the joker. “I’m Chris.” He introduced himself, also stretching his hand out to the newcomer. “Don’t bother trying to get through to this one. I’ve been trying to tell him that for years, and ya think he’ll listen to me?” He chuckled a little, nudging Marcus’ arm playfully.
Marcus rolled his eyes again at his more outgoing friend, returning the nudge. “Hey, I listen! Sometimes… But yeah, uh, thanks for the advice.” He said with a smile as he returned his attention to Ethan. “It is something I need to start doing. Becoming more of a doer, and less of a complainer.”

As he spoke, Marcus’ attention started to drift away from the taller man, towards a pair of women who approached the bar. They were both undeniably attractive, but one in particular drew his attention. She was very short, at least a foot shorter than Marcus, and quite thin. This, plus the contrast of her dark hair and attire to her pale skin, attracted the young man’s gaze. He definitely had a type, and she definitely fell into that category. But it wasn't just how she looked. It was was how she carried herself. She definitely seemed like someone who was comfortable in her skin, and Marcus admired that, especially because it was something that he definitely wasn't.

A couple of moments went by before he realised he was probably staring, and he forced himself to look back to the people he was talking to, his cheeks turning a little red. Hopefully no one noticed, but subtlety was definitely not one of his strong suits.

Reya Wyatt

Location: Club Aether

Rei was never one for parties. Clubs, bars, anything. She'd rather take a night shift back at work or stay home and watch movies all night. So that brings up the question, why was she at one of the mentioned clubs now? Before, her old friends would drag her (or carry on weekends) out to socialize, now it was Rai's turn to force her out of the house.

Dressed up in her formal attire, Rei kept to herself for the most part, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed, as she watched the club owner's performance on stage. It got her thinking, maybe she could sing some? It was a silly thought, and she had a high chance for stage fright, but it could be fun.

Looking around the room for a moment, she sighed and walked up to the stage. With a quick talk with the group about the song she wanted to sing put of the way, Rei grabbed the microphone. Tapping the mic, she looked up and gave a little wave to the audience, a crooked, unsure grin on her face. Great, she's starting to get butterflies in her stomach. But she's not turning back now. Taking a deep breath, and nodding to the band, she began singing.

Friday Night at Club Aether. Leo @CaptainSully x Dusty x Party People!
Throwing back her shot, she pushed the glass forward towards the bartender as the familiar voice of Leo filled her ear from behind. She turned in her seat and met his smile with hers. He looked very handsome, and he was radiating with happiness. She could tell he was going to enjoy his day off, and Dustynn knew he deserved it Leo worked hard to be where he was. "I'll take a captain and coke." she grinned, a simple rail drink but one of her absolute favorites. She offered cheers as they both sipped back their drinks, Leo commented that he had a surprise for her and her eyebrows raised in surprise. Before she could respond his hand grabbed her and pulled her through the dance floor. He other hand carried her drink, careful not to spill on the passing dancer.

The music was blaring closer to the stage. It was exciting but hard to understand what Leo was saying to her. She nodded her head as he spoke, trying to make out the words from his lips. She recognized "Sorry" and she shook her head, her eyes expressing that she didn't know why he was sorry. People around her crowded closely as she looked up to Leo. People adored him, his smile wide and contagious as he announced the start of the night. Raising her glass in the air, Dustynn cheered loudly "Wooo!" escaped from her lips, before the music began.

The first part of the song started and Dustynn couldn't help but laugh out loud. Leo had definitely surprised her as well as everyone around the stage as they sang, danced, and cheered along with the old hit. Singing along with the chorus Leo looked down and Dustynn assumed it was for her, though with the crowd of ladies screaming it could have been anyone. She raised her drink again to him, blowing a kiss with her lips as she continued to dance along and yell out the lyrics.

As the song came to an end, Leo returned his guitar and hopped down in front of Dustynn as he joyfully asked her what she thought. "I fucking loved it." she laughed, her cheeks flushed with happiness and heat. She offered him a sip of her drink before drinking the rest herself. Another woman approached the stage introduced as Reya, a bit more shy than Leo's entrance but Dustynn gave another cheer of encouragement as she performed.

Dancing with her back against Leo, Dustynn just let the music run through her. When the song came close to the end Dusty turned around and spoke close to Leo's ear so he could hear her as best as he could, "This next one is for breakfast." she spoke, her hands grazing against his chest as she pushed off and helped herself onto the stage by backing up and lifting herself up onto it butt first. She took off her heels as she got up. Leaving them on the ground with her empty glass. She walked up to the mic with a sultry smile, her eyes closed as the band began playing. It had been a little slower than the previous songs, but a few people cheered knowing the familiar first few lines. "I wish that everyone I knew was dead. So that I'd never have to pick up the phone. I just wanna be naked and masturbate all day at home." the crude line made Dustynn smirk as her dark eyes opened wide expressively cheerful, looking over everyone as she sang- her voice on the raspier side of the scale.

She swayed back and forth with the crowd as she sang, the band playing the song powerful and precise. The bridge of the song approached as Dustynn's heart beat out of her chest, she didn't know whether to look into Leo's eyes like she had thought about the entire morning or if she would avoid his gaze all together. She swallowed deep, taking the leap of faith as she found him in the sea of party people. "And I can feel it too. So what am I waiting for? I'm afraid of you. It's just I'm not that good of a person. But I might be enough for you." Dustynn closed her eyes again after the direct eye contact she had shared.

She kept them closed for the rest of the performance, dancing during the instrumental break and. When it finished she moseyed off the side stairs of the stage, her heels in hand and her empty glass in the other. She didn't want to speak to Leo directly afterwards, so she slid through the people towards the back to the women's bathroom, dropping her empty glass off at the bar as she did.

Inside the bathroom she put her heels back on and took a paper towel, blotting away some of the sweat around her hairline. Using the opportunity to babysit the broken seal of the night, she used the facilities. She couldn't contain her grin as she looked at herself in the mirror while she washed her hands. "You're an idiot." she thought to herself as she dried her hands on a paper towel and tossed it into the trash bin. Leaving the bathroom she started her way back to find Leo.
