Repulsa Libre

@Ruler Inc
Before she could go off on her own, Tropica would feel a powerful hand grip her midsection, and her feet begin to leave the ground as she was lifted up into the air. If she didn't struggle, she'd soon find herself riding the shoulders of the largest girl in class, going by the hero name Repulsa Libre. Being that they were both members of visible minorities, the two had shared some exchanges over the first few weeks of the semester, relating common experiences to one another - it might even be accurate to say they were friends, though it was possible that was just Gabriella's interpretation of their relationship. Regardless, it meant Gabby felt confident Pheobe would be comfortable with the gentle invasion of her personal space, especially since it was for a good purpose.

"I like idea of work together," the large young woman's deep voice rang from below Phoebe. "And look - our colours match almost! But many peoples are in need of saving, so we should split up just a little."

As much as she would love to work together as an entire class, with the size of the full-scale model city and the amount of crises happening at once, it did make some amount of sense to not all be in one place, she thought to herself.

"Please, use taller eyes to see where we need to go!" Repulsa Libre suggested. She then began moving toward an area of the city she'd not seen many students go, except maybe the moth girl if she remembered correctly. After a few steps, she bowed low, then rose back up and activated her quirk, repelling herself off the ground and soaring about a dozen feet into the air, helping Phoebe see more things around them. Since they had started slower, most of the problems that had arisen in the immediate vicinity of the students had already been solved, so Repulsa didn't need to worry about missing nearby victims. Of course, she did have to worry a little about her sandals, which were blown off the soles of her feet by her quirk. Ah well...

Dean never really considered himself as one who enjoyed listening - but now, he listened intently, as the leader stood up and spoke. The raven on his shoulder also seemed to listen intently, even though it obviously could not understand a word, and was simply fixed on the new movement that was occurring in front of it. His top hat remained on his head even if the mask was now on the table in front of him, staring back up with tinted eyes.

Childish attitudes? Dean realised that the theatrics with the raven scout might seem like showing off, but it was definitely a practical move - safety first. Dean nodded as the speech continued and, happily found himself agreeing with what was being said. Deluded youth. Twisted ideals. This resonated with Dean very very well. Hero culture was a self righteous, confused mess that simply allowed the weak to be weak. And Enterprise. Dean remembered her, and although they never interacted during his unfortunate time at U.S.J, he did not like her purely for the fact that she fit the mould of the hero perfectly. Scum.

The address went on, getting right to the meat - The goals. And what desirable goals they were. The destruction of that hideous school and its equally as hideous principal. Hearing those words put a devious grin on his face. This group certainly had high ambitions. High ambitions indeed. As fun and satisfying as a direct assault on the academy would be, Dean did recognise that it would be unwise. But the thought of that school being razed to ash could not escape his mind.

But of course, there was an alternative plan. As the papers were strewn over the table, the raven hopped off his shoulder, taking a document in its beak and bringing it back to Dean, who took it from the bird's beak and studied it carefully. The site where hero gear was made. Now that was definitely an interesting choice, and when questions were opened, Dean certainly had a few.

"So. I'm glad our eventual goal is the destruction of that wretched establishment. My question is - when we undergo this presumed strike on the gear factory, we'll likely be quickly brought into conflict with Enterprise and by extension, her students. As fun as that will be, is that part of the plan?

Now Phoebe wasn't entirely ignored by the class; she was noticed by somebody here.

Somebody that apparently didn't fully grasps concepts like "personal space", and using this amazing thing called "words". She felt a hand on her midsection and if it was one of those class perverts she was going to kick him square in the balls, but the second she found herself hoisted into the air she had a strong feeling who it was. It was the girl that Phoebe found kinda weird, but tolerable. It was Gabby Gonzales, the Mexican girl that was somehow six-two. Phoebe didn't question these things because there was probably stranger things out there. Phoebe took in a deep sigh, and shook her head, as she rode the shoulders of Libre Repulsa or something Libre. Eh, didn't matter, as the girl suggested that the two of them work together. Which was exactly what Phoebe wanted but she had a comment or two to make.

"I don't mind working together," Phoebe said strained as she rode the girl's shoulders, "But let me know before you start tossing me around!" She had to let out an awkward bout of laughter, as she felt some of Gabby's wording was a more than a little poor. To be frank, rather than asking they work together; it sounded like Gabby was hitting on her.

Repulsa Libre launched the two of them up into the air, with the intent of Phoebe to scan the environment for danger. Honestly, there was a lot of shit going on in the city, and Phoebe was honestly happy that it was unlikely (ideally unlikely) this would ever become a situation! Now, there was only a short amount of time they were in the air so Phoebe had to be quick. The rest of the group was handling a clusterfuck that Phoebe didn't want to touch with a ten-foot pole. So she went for the most obvious situation that caught her eye...

... which was a giant robot "villain" going on a rampage through the city.

It was amazing that nobody was dealing with that. Almost like it literally just appeared out of thin air! Nonetheless, Phoebe pointed towards the robot and said, "Maybe we can try dealing with that!" Okay, it was going to be pretty tough, but Phoebe loves a great challenge!

And the bigger the challenge, the bigger the reward!

Quinn Leiurus || Anarchy Red

With the rest of the villains arriving at the hideout, Quinn began to size up her future compatriots. After all, trusting people you instantly met were the actions of a fool. The first to arrive after her was a woman who wore coveralls. She seemed to be a bit more normal than the average villain and raised regular concerns about trust. A more typical villain would have run in with a bloody weapon out talking about darkness or something of that sort; maybe they would have brought a vaudeville act along. Then again, most people who wanted All-Might dead weren't theatre kids who went bad. From the woman in the jumpsuit burning her garbage in an act of environmentally friendly posturing, it was obvious the woman had some sort of control over fire.

The second to arrive was more of the same sort. Cautious, smart thinking. He either sent in some dumb bird first to scope the room out or it was some coincidence. Highly likely to be the former, Quinn could surmise that he could control a bird. Either that or he trained a bird to scout things out for him. Either way was weird. When he came in, he was really well dressed. In fact, he wore a top hat. In this modern age. Seeing how he wasn't some theatre kid who went bad, he probably wore it unironically. Yikes, was Quinn's only thought.

The third to arrive was... a villain alright. Preceded by the sounds of a chainsaw, she certainly was edgier than everyone else. Actually, incredibly edgier. She entered the room with a chainsaw revved up only to power it down when she arrived. Her outfit seemed to be something that was meant to be a touch scary, but in all honesty, it wasn't. Quinn thought it was more similar to babby's first murder outing. Like some child who lacked social skills, she didn't say anything when she entered. However, unlike herself who did the same, her silence was practically audible. In some laughable move, she revved up her chainsaw again in an act of posturing. Quinn instantly let a chortle out, trying her best to conceal it as she looked away from her.

The final one who entered was another edgy boy. In fact, they were all pretty edgy with the exception of the woman's bright orange jumpsuit. The old man had his Victorian edge, the chainsaw girl had whatever was going on with her, and this new boy wore a high collared black jacket. Quinn's clothing was also afflicted by a certain level of edge, but at least she was somewhat punk. This boy who entered, also with a mask that only covered his mouth, was instantly talking about murder. That was kind of sad, in all honesty. His attempt to make small talk was a humble brag on how he's wanted for murder. Strange flex, but okay.

Their fearless leader had handwaived whatever opening each of them had. She instantly derided them for not being professionals; this was a sentiment that almost shot Quinn into rapid laughter. Imagine not expecting a bunch of villains to be the dregs of society. Still though, she did her best not to die from laughing too hard. Her little speech wasn't that much. It wasn't some amazing speech in which she managed to rally every villain on to her side. Rather, it simply stated the truth. They were all there because they had a reason to be. To get rid of Enterprise in order to further their ideals.

And that's all that Quinn needed for a reason to stay.

With their plans unfurled on the table and their fearless leader asking for questions, Quinn let the bird man ask his bizarre question of 'will we fight school children'? and followed up.

"Ignoring what this guy thinks is important, don't you all think that there's a bigger issue pressing us right now?" Her tone was drenched in a thick layer of sarcasm. "None of us know each other's names~!" She joked with a gross level of false pleasantries. Almost instantly, her tone turned back to snark. "I think we should go around and say our names and a fun fact about ourselves." She clapped, enunciating whatever point she was making. "After all, why would we all go and risk our lives with people we don't even know the names of? I'll go first," she took a brief bow, "My name, or at least what I go by, is Quinn. What media likes to call me is Anarchy Red, so that's my super villain act now. All about anarchy! That little fun fact about me... Hmmm... I would say that I want All-Might and his influence gone, but that's a bit obvious, don't you think?" Her vaudevillian act completely dropped. "I have 'demolished' and sabotaged enough infrastructure to know how to permanently cripple a municipality. Anyways, who wants to go next? Chainsaw girl, shark twunk, old man, jumpsuit, or our fearless leader?"

Peter simply agreed to the girl as he held the bus down. He didn’t really think it mattered to take the bus out after the children were saved, but she did make a good point about safe zones. Namely that there wasn’t one. He remembered he had simply taken the robot dummies off to the side and hoped for the best for them. ”Ah dammit you’re right! I’ve been so focused on saving civvies I haven’t thought about setting up an evac zone!”

Once Peter cleared out the girl used her quirk to knock the bus out of the building. He looked to the robots who were still making their crying noise. Most looked like they could move but there were more who could t and Peter couldn’t possibly carry them all. There was no safe zones either. He still had some juice for his quirk so he could likely do something, but should he really focus on trying to save civvies if he can’t even protect them? And how would he move them?

Then he looked back at the bus. ”Of course! The answer is literally in front of me!” The bus was more than dinged up but it was still functional. The bumper was smashed but the engine was still good. Falling out of the building shattered its rear windows and turning signals but the axel was still attached. It could move, and the key was still in ignition. Taking the wounded and children boys inside Peter turned to the girl. ”I’ll take the civvies back where we all started out. It was the furthest away from the destruction, and I’ll set up a safe zone there. I’ll try to come back with this bus and bring back as many civvies as I can!”

Once he made sure everyone was seated he turned back one more time to the girl. ”Good luck! We still got time, so go all out!” Peter stepped on the gas and the bus moved forward. He went somewhat slowly as he didn’t want to risk crashing into a random pedestrian it into another disaster, but at the same time he didn’t bother to really go at a legal speed limit and wasn’t afraid to push pass cars blocking the road. Along the way he stopped by the burning office where he had dragged off two office boys who were still there. He loaded them back into the bus and took them towards the starter area.

The road was rocky and unfortunately for Peter, the moment he stopped the bus so he could start taking kids out was when he heard a loud pop. Then another. He went to check what happened and sure enough both his back wheels popped. He had a feeling it was only a matter of time before that would happen but he really wished he could’ve used the bus a bit longer. ”Well no time to worry about what ifs. First things first are the civvies.”

Peter set up a crude sectioned off area using some road cones and chains from the bus. He had the robot civilians come out so they could rest under the shade of the bus and whatever makeshift umbrella he could cobble together, the best being some umbrellas from a few ruined hotdog stands. Peter wasn’t sure if they were suppose to treat the wounded robots since they didn’t have any obvious human injuries, but since this was a simulation and they were vaguely humanoid, Peter made sure to patch them up as best as he could. The lack of blood or for the robots to them him where it hurt made it difficult for him to determine who needed help the most but he did his best to patch them up with his first aid kit until he ran out.

”Alright citizens, I must leave now! You should be safe here but I promise I’ll return soon, do not worry about a thing. I, Avalanche, will save you!” Peter smiles confidently as he gave his little speech. Again he doubt the robots knew or care what he was talking about but part of being a hero was making sure people felt safe. Doing hero work wasn’t always enough; talking to them and giving them hope with words were needed too. Still Peter had work to do. He didn’t know how much time he had but he couldn’t stop now as he ran back towards the city to find anyone who needs help.

Sana Helme
Animus

Sana took notice of the others who entered, seeing if her first impressions of them lead to her having any desire to team up with them. First was the bird, which she looked at curiously, her gaze following it as it left the room a moment before a man with a plague doctor-esque costume entered. He clearly cared about his appearance at least. Sana supposed that was a good sign.

The next person to walk in was a little more questionable, though. Of course, the chainsaw was the first thing Sana noticed--impossible for it not to be, considering the noise in an otherwise quiet place. That... couldn't be wieldy. If the girl holding it was using it because she thought it was 'cool,' or something, Sana would certainly have a giggle. The fire-girl's gaze moved up from the tool-turned-weapon to see that its owner was staring at her, having moved to stand just behind the apparent ringleader. Sana returned the gaze curiously, wondering what the girl's deal was. She couldn't help but smirk at the sound of the chainsaw coming alive again, the girl still looking right at Sana. The loyal dog kind of villain, evidently. Reasonable questions and demands were not allowed if they were asked of the 'leader,' at least according to chainsaw-girl--and as far as the purple-haired woman herself seemed to be concerned as well, considering her apparent love for ignoring others.

Amusing. Seeing villains 'socialize' for the first time--and taking part in that socializing herself--was really amusing. She hadn't been sure what to expect coming here, but so far it hadn't been the worst outcome she'd imagined.

Last was the young man that Sana began to immediately identify by his shark-inspired bandana.

The purple-haired women finally decided to acknowledge them, indicating to Sana that this was everyone that had been invited. Sana smirked again, this time at the women's implication that her caution was childish, the smirk only growing with the immediately following comment on egos. Perhaps the women needed to take heed of her own words. No matter--dealing with a hypocrite wasn't enough to turn Sana completely off the gathering yet.

Sana listened intently enough, finding herself eager to finally hear what this was all about.

Her smile lost its arrogance as more was revealed. The plans of the group were bigger than any sort of petty crimes, which of course Sana had assumed before arriving, but hearing that the dismantling of U.S.J. was specifically what the purple-haired woman was after brought the slightest feeling of butterflies of excitement to Sana's stomach.

Burning unequivocally useless small-time heroes was one thing, but to go after something so dear to the heart of hero society...

Sana's eyes widened and her smile took on a hint of sociopathy. The thought of burning such a thing to the ground was stirring.

Her eyes scanned the monitors as images flashed on them, her thoughts pausing for a second as a picture of her younger brother showed up before disappearing quickly to make way for a classmate of his.

The girl crossed her arms, her enthusiasm dampened slightly as bird-boy asked a decent enough question, though it was immediately dismissed in an amusing fashion by the second woman who had been there when Sana had entered the room. The woman, who introduced herself as Quinn, had quietly been laughing to herself during chainsaw-girl's stare down. That, along with her words now, told Sana that she was likely the most entertaining person here. Sana liked that, and while Quinn didn't seem like she truly cared whether or not the rest of them followed up on her introduction, she decided to humour her.

"Sana. Animus while in costume. My fact--" she looked towards the ringleader to address her. "--I don't like you so far. I don't think you care anyway, and that's one of the reasons I don't like you. But I don't really feel the need to, either, as long as you're competent--which goes for the rest of you. Incompetence is for heroes. For people who are sheltered and nurtured and told they're strong. I'll cooperate with your plans. Take this as my show of good faith--you selected me to be part of this group, so I'll trust the others you picked are equally useful."

Sana held her gaze on the leader a moment longer, her stony expression communicating the genuineness behind her words, before she moved to stand somewhat near Quinn to take a closer look at the newer papers that had been tossed on the table.

Her motivations and goals were probably a bit different from the rest--but they lined up close enough. The students and faculty of U.S.J. should be truly tested. Simulations and written papers bred weakness. Weakness in such a field lead to the destruction of lives. Weakness needed to be burned. Any hero, on the level of Enterprise or otherwise, who couldn't handle a villainous force deserved to die. If this group could become that dangerous kind of monster and exterminate all the heroes who had failed her, she was more than happy to take part. Even if... even if her brother would be caught in the crossfire. He'd just have to be strong. Sana knew he could be. Maybe.

The girl bit her lip. She wouldn't make exceptions. If he wanted to be a hero--if he had taken the opportunity she had helped give him through all she had done to protect him from their father--he needed to be stronger than all the useless heroes that infested San Francisco currently. She had already sunk, but he still had the opportunity to swim. That was enough. If she was to be his true test of strength and character, then it would be so.

"Talk about being a try hard," Abigail said as she observed how the situation quickly devolved into many fronts of chaos. "I don't think any of them has what it takes. But, at least, it'll be fun to watch the fire-- or should I say waterworks?" she joked, even though no one other than she was there to laugh at it.

From the movements of the others, they seemed to have developed neat plans to deal with the situations they found themselves into. But was it really smart to try to freeze the water in the falling tank into an iceberg that could very well crush all of them instead of just accepting to become a little wet? At least, the structure of the tank didn't seem like it would hit anyone in its way down unless they went out of their way to stand under it.

By the way, isn't it a crime to drive a bus -- beyond the speed limit no less -- when you don't have a license for that? Should heroes even be allowed to break the law and cause as much collateral damage as they wish whenever they want just because it's "for the greater good"?

"But seriously, who decided that a tanker truck on fire is a good challenge for a bunch of wet behind the ears rookies? Do they have no sense of proportion in this place?" Abigail said in a way that more or less resembled the words of a disgruntled sportscaster. "Oh, wait. I guess that answers my question," she added as, out of literal nowhere, a giant robot appeared and began to wreak havoc in the streets, moving right towards a construction zone, destroying everything in its way.

Where the hell do they even get those kinds of things? And, more importantly than that, how large is this school's budget to waste this kind of resource in a simple 'routine' training?

Repulsa Libre

@Ruler Inc

Having seen a crisis for them to solve, Tropica had pointed with her finger while making her suggestion, and Repulsa followed the direction the limb was pointing with her eyes. A giant robot, at least as tall as a 3-story building - possibly more, she couldn't quite judge from the current distance. A pearly-white grin split the light coffee tone of the uncovered half of her face. Surprise mixed with eagerness - she wouldn't have pinned Phoebe as the type who would confidently face such a sizeable challenge, yet she couldn't find herself disagreeing. A large woman like herself needed an even larger opponent in order to shine as brightly as possible.

"Repulsa Libre is in agreement," she answered as gravity took hold of the pair and began their descent back toward the concrete. The landing wasn't the softest ever, but Repulsa made sure to hold on tight to Tropica's ankles to prevent her from flipping forward overhead, and she was able to decrease the impact on their bodies by using a weaker repulsion the moment her feet connected with the ground. As she turned a street corner to head toward the robot Tropica had pointed out to her, Gabriella was careful to pay attention to the feedback from the soles of her feet; no problems thus far, but she wouldn't able to do too many more leaps like that before she would start feeling pins and needles in her feet. It normally wouldn't be so much of a problem, but she was carrying Tropica as well - extra weight was extra weight, no matter how small.

"If nothing else, we can at least distract from harming civilian. Repulsa Libre will jump again. Look around for place we can lure mecha that maybe has less people. Would suggest construction site, perhaps."

Without waiting for an answer, Repulsa activated her quirk and once more shot up into the air. It was lucky they seemed to be in a residential neighborhood - the roofs were lower so she didn't have to leap terribly high for a good view, which meant less stress on her body due to her quirk.

How…many people among them were going to wear masks? Because no sooner did she arrive did Jackie notice the last villain also wore a mask. From what she could tell, his voice was highlighted by the accessory…not to mention the fact their so-called leader wore one too…all of this was beginning to make Jackie self-conscious. She glanced down at her own get-up, ignoring Animus meeting her stare, and noted that maybe it didn’t push home the purpose of her Quirk correctly. But she had already stolen the costume components and didn’t feel like making a return trip to the store…

The fact Anarchy Red burst out laughing right as she made her power stunt didn’t do well to help her mood. If her ears were real, they would have drooped down in embarrassment because it was becoming increasingly clear to Jackie that she was the youngest one here…oh, right. Their leader was talking. Trying to not look like she was sulking, Jackie paid attention to the grand plans Noxious had in store for them. To be honest, it was all a little impressive to Jackie; at least, as impressive as she could think of.

What better way to strike out at USJ than through small tactics? The lower they were on the radar, the more freedom they had to move. Although a Hero Gear factory did sound a little too high-grade as their first job but she supposed they had to start out somewhere…so this was the League of Villains then. While she remained silent, looking over documents displayed on the console, others shared their reactions with the rest of the group.

Jackie tried to ignore Anarchy Red’s second round of laughter, having to mentally convince herself she hadn’t done something stupid to earn the mirth. Again. While Corvus had brought up a sensible question, Anarchy Red seemed hell-bent on being practical. If anything, it was common sense and Jackie wondered why their papers couldn’t just be passed around. Did they really have to do ice breakers like in school? Regardless of her thoughts, the trend had apparently taken flight.

Animus went next, revealing her true name and something akin to motivations. There was a bit of a stare down between her and Noxious but Jackie didn’t feel like trying to spook her again. Especially when it was her turn to introduce herself since no one else was going. Guessing she’d have to speak eventually, she placed down her chainsaw and reached into her coat pocket to fish out a pen.

Without permission, she strolled up to the table and snatched a random paper before scribbling words on the backside of it. Once the deed was done, she put her pen away and held up the paper for all to see; assuming people could read in the dingy low-light of their surroundings.

“Hi, I’m Jackie. Jack the Ripper is my villain name. I like ripping things. I joined because I wanna rip more people. It’s nice to meet you all.”

It wasn’t like she was being asked for a full-on biography after all, let alone deep motivation.

Ryan "Sharkman" Jacobs

Ryan had already made himself at home, slouching in his seat. Quinn's estimation of him was spot-on: He was rocking an edgelord aesthetic. While she looked at him, he unzipped his jacket, revealing that underneath, he wore a black-and-red t-shirt with a similar shark jaw pattern. Ryan barely regarded Nox as she moved to take the file from him, handing it back to her and watching her speech. Still, the fact that there were other people boosted his confidence in this scheme just a little, and the intel she had was starting to convince him that she had a plan. When she threw the document onto the table, Ryan reached for it and started to go through the files.

Ryan glanced up when Dean spoke, though he was more interested in Quinn's question. While Jackie was writing, he leaned over to Dean. "Can I pet your bird?" He whispered, staring at the raven. He had a fondness for animals, augmented by the fact that he couldn't keep pets. He glanced at Jackie's note, quickly reading it. Chainsaw or no, he got the impression she was a little awkward, and he had a fondness for shy people like that.

"My name is Ryan. I go by Shark Twink I mean I go by Sharkman." He said. "I don't care about the hero society. I don't have a vendetta against Enterprise. I can't get a real job so I have to commit crimes for a living. I like to rip people too, Jackie." He lied, smiling at the chainsaw wielding girl behind his mask, slightly inclining his giant pair of scissors. He the inclined his head towards Nox. "It's your turn, boss. Name and fun fact, and then we can get down to business. Old Man is right, do we have a plan if we're going to take these guys head on? I think something subtle would be ideal." He had started to lay out the maps, scanning for points of interest such as possible entryways.

If it wasn't obvious that Gabby's English wasn't the best; Phoebe would drop a quip or two about Gabby using the third person. She, of course, wasn't that big of an asshole. Phoebe needed to find a way to take down the giant robot, monster, thing, guy - with the help of Repulsa, of course. Naturally, she sure as hell lacked the firepower to take down the dude (and she had the feeling that Gabby didn't have it either) so she needed to outsmart it. Because in her head her greatest strength was that her quirk was weak and easily underestimated... which was totally useless against an automaton.

"If nothing else, we can at least distract from harming civilian. Repulsa Libre will jump again. Look around for place we can lure mecha that maybe has fewer people. Would suggest construction site, perhaps."

Which gave Phoebe an idea, a great idea! When Repulsa shot her up into the air, she looked around the environment and her eye landed on a nearby river. Well, she had no idea about these robots, but reason led her to believe that robots would short out when submerged in water. They just needed to get it in the water.

"The river!" Phoebe said, "Let's knock it into the river!"

If nothing else; maybe they the staff would be impressed by her innovation.

Danielle McNair | Show-Stopper!

It wasn't long before more Heroes in Training came to assist in rescuing the robots from their crashed cars. She didn't appreciate having to share the limelight such as this, but even she could tell there were more then enough civilians to go around. As she finished extricating one male-ish figure from the driver's side of a car and laid them out on their back a few feet away, a shout of alarm from one of her own male counter parts had her gaze directed to a precariously dangling water tower.

"Why is that even at an intersection?" Show-Stopper asked, head quirked as she took in the peculiar sight, eyes slowly trailing down to the overturned tanker below it and the fires drawing nearer. "Huh. Maybe this is more cleverly designed then I thought....Anyhow, I'll have it down in a flash, just...seriously, don't freeze it. We have people laid out on the ground and I'm pretty sure flash freezing ankle deep water around them is kinda harmful."

Now if they could have make some kind of frozen barrier to direct the water, that would be one thing, but with the loose plan they had in mind there wouldn't be time for it. If nothing else, her outfit was unintentionally designed to handle water rather well, given it would slide off her outfit like a duck's plumage.

She moved away from the trapped civilians and clambered onto the overturned tanker truck via a now horizontal ladder, finding there was enough clearence between her new position and the building the tower hung from that it...probably, wouldn't collide directly. And if it manages to fall without rupturing entirely there's a chance it'll light a spark grinding metal on metal...

"No second guessing!" She slapped both her cheeks, letting the sting bring her mind to focus while she aligned an index finger with the most beleugered of stantions supporting the tower. Curling it back into her palm, her arm remained locked in place, a tension rooting her in place as she tried to move a mass of metal and water well beyond her capacity if this was under normal circumstances. But metal fatigue and gravity being in her favor would ensure this was just the nudge needed to drag it down to earth and hopefully douse the flames that threatened the civilians safety.

Dean, through his years and travels, had come to the conclusion that most villains fit into one of two broad categories - the ones who were serious, darker - the well, edgy ones. And then there were the ones who more resembled Quinn. Snarky jokers. His question may have been dismissed by her, but it was posed to Noxious, not her - and although he rolled his eyes at her reply, it didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Who would ever expect a group of villains to have courteous manners, after all. That would just be an absurd thing to expect. So Dean could forgive and forget about it - just this once.

But now Quinn had started off a circle of introductions, as people gave their first names and their villain names. No quirks were shared, but Dean supposed that would come later. Maybe there would be a demonstration. Maybe they were waiting for combat, which seemed a little late for a quirk reveal, especially without any sort of prior planning. But whatever. That probably wouldn't be the case, he hoped. The first to introduce themselves was obviously Quinn - rather, Anarchy Red. A mouthy name. A name was pretty important to Dean, and he hoped that the others would have better ones.

The next was Sana. Animus. That name rolled off the tongue better. She seemed less snarky, and Dean couldn't help but quietly enjoy her little proclamation of her ideology, and her statement of dislike against their leader. And then there was Jackie, the chainsaw, who instead of speaking like the rest, held up a crude note with cruder language. She had to speak at some point, surely. Silence cannot last forever. And good communication would be absolutely necessary if this league was going to do anywhere and do anything.

Dean was lost in thought when he heard a voice in his ear. It was Sharkman, asking to pet his raven. Normally he wouldn't, but he was here to make allies, after all. He made sure the bird was completely docile.

"Be my guest. I've made sure he won't nip your fingers, so knock yourself out."

And then Shark man introduced himself as, well, Sharkman. Dean couldn't help but smile, and now he realised that although he had posed a question first, he should probably introduce himself as well. He was the only one not to yet, even though he spoke first - Quinn had initiated the whole thing after he asked his question of course.

"I suppose I should introduce myself as well. I'm Dean, Corvus under my villainous persona. I'm here because, like you all, I recognise that hero society is fundamentally broken. It protects the weak, celebrates mediocrity and waters down true power.".

Simple enough. Now he looked at their leader, waiting for her to introduce herself properly - if she even would.

Gabriella Gonzales
Repulsa Libre

@Ruler Inc

Gabriella was reacquainted with the concrete once more. Instead of leaping into the air again, Gabriella stayed grounded, her muscles undulating beneath Phoebe as she sprinted the remaining distance to the robot. "Sounds good! Tropica continues to ride. Long legs of robot difficult to outrun alone, I thinks." Gabby's lips pursed tensely upon the realization she'd forgone the use of the third-person at the end of that sentence. Well, no time to worry about it now. She'd just have to hope Phoebe didn't notice.

She came to a stop at the edge of the remnants of the robot's destructive rampage, a clear line visible between the still standing houses of the residential distric and the scattered, crushed remains of buildings that previously stood in the vicinity of the robot. Repulsa Libre looked up, taking in details about the robot's body. It was simple, for the most part. The chances of the whole thing being waterproof looked low, which meant Tropica's idea was all the better. It was facing away from the two of them, its attention instead on the taller buildings of the adjacent commercial district, the ground shaking with each building its large arms crashed through.

Repulsa Libre then looked downward. She'd need something to help her get its attention so they could start luring it. She took a couple steps forward, then bent her knees while reaching downward, making sure not to throw Phoebe off her shoulders by bending forward. She rose up again with a mostly-intact brick in her right hand. It fit neatly, so she could grip it well. She gave it a small toss upward and caught it, judging its weight, and how much force she'd need to apply with her quirk to get it where she wanted it. Then, once she was satisfied, she reared back, stretching her arm behind her as she prepared to throw.

"Are you ready?" Repulsa asked, not wanting to move too quickly for Phoebe. If either of them were unprepared in any way, their teamwork would fail.

As soon as Tropica gave the okay, Repulsa Libre's arm would hurtle forward, and just as she released the brick, she'd activate her quirk, applying extra force and rocketing the brick up to the back of the robot's head.

Eira Winters

”So much for freezing that, Eira grumbled, watching Danielle pull the water tower down to the earth. ”Just gonna have to work with this, Samuel.” All she could do was pull the dummies out of the way. She flinched ever so slightly when she first touched them, reminding herself that they didn't feel the cold as humans did. At the very least, she was helping out.

But who the hell decided that flooding water was a good way to put out the fires? She couldn't even use her quirk like this, not until all the 'people' were out. She called out to her allies for help - there was more to this exercise than flashy moves and dramatic heroics. "Can I please get some damn help down here!"

And right there, clock still ticking, she had a bit of a realization. At once, she rushed to where the water's edge was, making a quick check that no one else was there, and activated her quirk. Most had little appreciation for the extremes it took for Eira to utilise her ability, and even with her new costume, the cold flooded into her like the water gushing below her. There, it froze instantly, stopping the flow, of which there was no need. There were no fires in that direction, and the water would only cause more problems.

As Eira stood there, no longer using her quirk but still shaking from the intense chill, she had another realization. Her legs were a stuck in the ice. Well, fuck. She twisted them around, but it didn't do much. At this rate, it would take a minute or two to get out. It wasn't long, but in a timed practical, it seemed like forever. A little more help would be appreciated, but damn it all if she couldn't do it herself. Maybe in another scenario, they would do well to plan together beforehand.

Peter had spent the next few minutes finding civvies and escorting/carrying them back to the safe zone. It was tiring work but far easier than rolling around and trying to fight fires. If anything this basic escort job allowed Peter to regain some stamina since the hardest thing he'd have to do was carry some robots, and they weren't the heaviest thing he had to carry during his long distance jogs. Soon Peter rescued at least twelve other robots, not including the ones he brought via bus. He was almost certain that he picked up all the robots nearby so now he needed to go further into the disaster zone. He knew the clock was ticking and he wouldn't have time to bring any more back. Not only that but he saw a giant robot laying waste deep in the city and figured someone needed to handle it.

That being said it doesn't have to be Peter. He knew the pitfalls of focusing on defeating villains during tests like these. Sure it showed off your power, but being a hero isn't about being the most effective villain buster. A guy with a gun can take down villains; heroes needed to be able to do that and more. Peter was confident enough in his fighting abilities that he wanted to focus more on rescuing civilians.

Running through the ruins Peter kept and eye out for danger and trouble. So far it seemed like his fellow students have done a pretty good job both rescuing civvies and fighting bad guys. But he also knew there was always some sort of trouble afoot; he head heard something big crash deep in the city, and that was before the big robot showed up. If Peter had to guess a building must've fallen down and that would mean a lot of civvies in need of help. However by the time he arrived, it looked like it wasn't what he thought. Mostly a bunch of civilian robots who got stuck in a pileup, and what looked like some sort of water tower falling and soaking the area. Maybe something was on fire? Peter didn't have time to ask he just knew there was work to do.

He heard someone call out for help. Didn't sound like a robot so when he went to look he noticed one of the other students with her legs stuck in ice. He had no idea how that happened but he knew what he needed to do. "I'm on my way, cover your eyes!" Peter stepped next to the girl and transformed into a rough wheel-like shape. It wasn't a perfect circle but he didn't want it to be a perfect circle; it needed some jagged edges. Carefully he began to roll around the girl picking up speed as he worked his way through the ice like a saw, eventually grinding away enough to hopefully get her feet free. Once she was freed Peter came out of his boulder form and looked over to her. "You alright? If so, let's get these civvies out of their cars. I'll bring them to a safe zone back near where we started, there's a giant robot making a mess of things. Doubtful that anyone can take it on themselves but maybe it'll go down with teamwork."

Without a moment to discuss things Peter went to help pull civilians out of their cars, careful not to slip on the wet ground. There were a lot of bodies though, and unfortunately Peter didn't have the super strength to carry all of them. None of these cars were in any position to be used to carry anyone back through the check point either. "Well hero work was never suppose to be easy anyways." Peter mumbled to himself as he loaded a knocked out robot onto his back and held the hand of a crying robot child.

Hmm... How long would this "test" still last? Abigail glanced at her watch, curious about how much time they still had. "Two minutes, huh? I guess that I should be heading back now, it's not like there's anything interesting to see here any more," she said to herself as she put away her binoculars.

"See ya, boys. I hope that someone picks you up soon," Abigail said as her boot nudged the "cheeks" of one of the robots she captured one final time. As she did so, she noticed a large, dark bolt in the roof near one of her "captives".

"Hmm? I wonder where this came from? It doesn't look like it belongs to one of you, so..." As she glanced to the giant robot in the distance, her eyes absentmindedly ran through the structure above and then, back to the ground as she shrugged and tossed the bolt over her shoulder.

"Out of sight, out of mind." Abigail chuckled as she made her way back to the starting point. Being later wasn't a very heroic thing, right?

Freya Leander ~ Cait Sith

@Aviaire @NightmareInd @Lonewolf685 @Zaphander @KoL

Poking her head out of another car she'd clambered into, Freya nodded, watching Danielle pull the tank to the ground. "Thanks for helping out. And yeah, though I didn't mean freeze it around them. I meant..." She winced as water gushed towards the robots. Sure, these were just dummies, but if they were unconscious humans, they could easily end up with water in their lungs. She jumped from the car, ready to prop up as many robots as she could.

It turned out she didn't have to. A wave of cold spread through the area. Shivering, Freya turned to see a coating of ice on the ground a short distance away - with Eira trapped up to her ankles in it. Freya cast a frantic glance towards Sam. Surely he could warm up the area around Eira's legs without melting all the ice. Thankfully, somebody did come to the rescue. With a sigh of relief, the feline girl watched Peter morph into his boulder form and chip away enough frozen chunks to set Eira free.

"Whew. Well, that still did the job," she reassured Eira, then turned to Peter. "I'm with you, I'll get out as many as I can." Diving back into the car, she worked at the seatbelt. A tough, twisted up seatbelt. As she scraped and tugged at it a little too hard, it gave way all of a sudden. Freya yowled and hissed as her fingers whacked against a chunk of metal. Raising her hand, she saw two of her claws had snapped off, blood trickling over her glove. "Great," she grumbled. As if this rescue mission wasn't difficult enough already.

Gritting her teeth through the pain, she helped the robot out, then tried the door of another totalled car. It wouldn't budge. Grabbing a piece of debris with her good hand, she smashed the already cracked rear window and leapt onto the boot to climb through.

That was when things went from bad to worse.

Something hard and heavy struck her shoulder. With a meow-like yelp, she stumbled off balance and fell. Flipping round, she landed in a crouch with no further injury - but also managed to put her good hand right through one of the restraint bands on her belt. The band snapped shut, locking her arm against her waist and thigh.

"Eheh..." An uneasy laugh juddered from her as she tried to pull her wrist free, reaching round and scratching the restraint. Not the easiest task with a wounded hand. Her eyes darted from teammate to teammate, settling on Eira. At least maybe she'd feel better about her own mishap now. "Look on the bright side," Freya said. "You're not the only one to have captured themselves. It... unnggh... happens."

Although she pretended to shrug it off, she doubted the teachers would let it slide so easily. She wore away at the material, panic rising with each precious second that slipped by.

This was it, this was his chance to show what he was made of. Renard bolted between Phoebe and Gabriella quite suddenly, running straight towards the giant robot. It was still a good distance away, with debris and cars all in the way that would slow anyone down. But for Renald, it barely phased him as he slid over car hoods, vaulting over concrete slabs from buildings that were already shattered, with only his hand barely touching it to guide him. His movements swift and smooth as if he practiced this course a thousand and one times.

The massive robot noticed the lone student rushing towards it, automatically it turn and swung it's massive arms, taking out buildings with it's swipe, the glass, brick, re bar and other random items from inside now started to rain down around him. While smaller rocks pelted him, most couldn't be felt as they hit his hero's costume, the sleek black suit designed for a beating. But for the bigger chunks he dove out of the way, sliding under a slight overhang of wreckage just as some of the larger things hit the ground.

He waited for a moment, before running once again into the now dust filled road. It took him back how close he was already to the robot as it tried to crush him. It's fingers barely missing him and he let out a yelp and laugh. "Daaaaamn.... I'm glad I wasn't Abigail's partner right now...' he said to himself as he quickly ran up the arms the robot.

He almost lost his balance as it lifted it's arms. But he caught him self by leaning forward and gripping one of the edges of the plates. He didn't fool the robot though, it immediately tried to crush him with it's other arm, as a human would with a mosquito that dared land on them. His eyes wide as he used all his strength to launch him self off the arm and onto the chest. Closing his eyes and yelling, SHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII... as he by some miracle managed to get out of the way a massive clang of metal on metal pierced his ears. He barely caught onto the main breastplate of this three story robot. He let out an oof as his body slammed against it.

He didn’t lose his grip though, he quickly scrambled up the front of the machine to the base of its neck and into it’s blindspot. He looked around for anything that looked like electrical conduit.Finding it he smiled, Electricity starting to arc around his body now. He reached out and gripped it. He focused most of his energy into his hand, and into the wires. The Giant froze as loud buzzing could be heard as the entire electrical system was being overloaded with thousands of Volts coming from Renards body.

After a moment the buzzing stopped, only replaced with silence and the giant emitting a huge plume of black smoke. Renard started coughing at the toxic smoke of burnt plastic wire insulation. He tried to move away from it when the entire machine suddenly buckled…. Falling quickly to it’s side and onto the bank next to the river. A large reverberating boom echoed throughout the building.

The next thing he remembered was people calling out his name, his eyes opening up slowly to see all the girls in class around him with worried faces. Even Eira’s. Her cold gloved hands on his cheek. “You damn IDIOT.” She said to him with a clear sense of relief and warmth in her voice despite the name calling.

Renard sighed as he pulled himself from the daydream and looked to the massive screen that had all the feeds of each student in the training exercise. He was stuck in the observatory room with Mr. Hayes, with his own arms folded across his chest with a disappointed look on his face.

He was late to school because his sister suddenly got ‘sick’. Which he HIGHLY doubted the little dork, but apparently it was enough to convince her school nurse. So he had to drive back to her school and back home because dad was coming from the opposite way. Because of this, he was late for class. Which irritated him to no end because was waiting for this day for so long!

He took a breath, trying to calm down, and thought back to the daydream he had. Well that could have happened... he thought to himself. The entire scenario of him defeating the giant robot was pretty cool. Though it was unrealistic. He admitted to himself while allowing his head to fall to the side and down slightly. Admittedly I highly doubt I could have dodged all the debris, or even climbed up the front of the robot like that and not be squished…. He hesitated as he thought about what else was highly unrealistic….His head lifted up with a satisfied smile. “But everything else definitely could have happened.” Finishing his thought with a slight nod.

Sofia Rousseau - Noctera

Construction Block

City Trial Run - Part 2

(8 Minutes Remain)
Sofia would be lying if she said she felt any empathy for the robot that got run over on her way here. Instead, its partially warped and dismembered remains taunted her as a glaring black mark on her looming evaluation. On the plus side however, it did push her to at least attempt to incapacitate the few pursuing criminals that chased after her. The lone heroine definitely had the mobility to evade them and just as quickly crept around the small group, taking up a nine foot high vantage point on top of a stack of precast concrete wall panels to secretly size up her three pursuers.

We should be out sight of the other machines... I hope. If I can take these down quickly, I should have just enough time to rescue the hostages and lead them to safety. She let out a faintly hesitant murmur as she slowly rose to a crouching position, her secondary arms reaching into the compartment of one of her large sleeves to produce a school-issued hand restraint. She fidgeted with it a little as her eyes zeroed in on a single target, one that luckily seemed to lead the other two along a secluded path she could follow after.

If only I had more time, then I could pick them off one by one... Now if I want any chance of doing this, I have to act before they split up. She belabored the point as she hurriedly flew herself up to the scaffolding besides a business complex in the making, the rattling of the pipework prior to the minor creaking of the wood planks under her feet keeping her on edge till the very last step. The leader seems to have a tranquilizer rifle. Even if it is not lethal, one good shot will be enough to end the test for me if I am not careful. The suit is meant to give me some protection against blunt and sharp weapons, but needles might be another matter...!

With her window to strike closing with each passing second, Sofia dashed her way to the edge of the platform and jumped off from between the metal pipes and with her wings guided her decent towards the back of the unsuspecting leader, one henchdummy at either side. The other two are carrying stun batons. Although dangerous, but I cannot let that rifle get a clear shot. I have to take it out first!... Here goes nothing! Knowing full well that she couldn't work up the force necessary on her own, she let the momentum from her decent ram her knee against the leader from behind, but only after she let one of her silk lashes fly to wrap around the legs of the guard to its right. The impact caused the rifleman to slide front-first passed several feet of dry tire-driven dirt, its firearm stumbling out of its arms, while behind them the ensnared bot would see its feet pulled from under it.

Having latched onto her quarry's back, all four of her arms frantically went about restraining its wrists behind it, taking the robot out of the fight for the purposes of the exercise. She went about the task furiously, and just as wildly turned her head to spot the third cohort emerge from the thin dust cloud to swing its crackling baton at her. The cord from her arm had completely slithered back to her as she leapt up at her attacker, the prod missing her midsection but smacking against the edge of one of her lower wings. The potent flash of pain made her gasp as she rushed closer and grappled onto the guard's torso. Immediately, she clambered her way to the bot's back, it's grasping free hand was met with her own as she used all her strength to wrangle both of its arms behind it.

Before she could wring the baton away however, the previously lashed guard had risen to its feet and approached to attempt to assist its comrade. Spotting the raise of its baton out of the corner of her eye, Sofia's arms gripped onto the collar of the robot she was on the back of, and with an abrupt backwards lean of her entire weight, made the dummy's head and upper body tilt back. It is no good! My wings cannot take a direct hit! She thought as she saw the electric arc inch ever closer.

I just need an extra push...! Her arms strained to pull the robot further down, her face grimacing as another surge of pain hit her wing. Just a bit!... Moooore! In the moment that followed, like her life depended on it, the wings on the opposing side winded up and thrusted forward, kicking up a new cloud of dust into the sky, Sofia pushing herself into a dive that just about dragged the dummy's head in the way of the plunging stun prod, the business end barreling in between her antennae and clashing into the automaton's cranium, sparks flashing at the point of contact.

The training hominoid jolted rigidly in place, Sofia seizing the opportunity to swing ahead and orient herself on its front, after which she kicked off from its midsection and into the air, the two guardbots colliding and stumbling together onto the ground. Though she couldn't get much height due to her injury, the heroine shot both her silk lines into the dirt road on either side of the collapsed duo. Finally, at the height of her jump, her arms ripped away from each other and she plummeted like a guillotine that ended in a loud stomp on the pile of them.

-----

After the pair of criminals were properly arrested in like manner to their leader, Sofia hurried along to the structure at the area's center, maneuvering around the mechanical watchmen's field of vision and taking them out one by one, from top floor to bottom floor. Though she didn't like how she'd feel the following morning, she pushed herself to flutter to the top floor nonetheless. The first guard was ensnared by her lashes once it turned its back on a window frame. The second saw its neck tangled by her line and pulled off of the middle floor before she used its body to break her fall at the foot of the building. The third she jump kicked to the floor when it approached to investigate her second victim.

By the end of it all, she was left with six arrested criminals and four freed civvies staring blankly at her as she sat against a pillar at the first floor, utterly spent and just partly hoping these bots had the wherewithal to carry her out of here. She lamented her luck and frailty all the same, her arms shakily tugging at her collar and costume, her breathing haggard as the adrenaline wore away. She'd never let herself live it down if she didn't leave the training ground under her own power. She just needed a minute.
