The Penthouse - Hellfire Club Headquarters...

Emma Frost nodded. Using her telekinesis, she opened the filing cabinet near the elevators and a file came over. The contents of the file opened up and hovered in the air so that way everyone could see the photograph of the dead asset manager. "Everything we have on him is here in this file. His name was Gabriel Summers, though he preferred to be called Vulcan," Emma Frost said smoothly. "And yes, he was the younger brother of the X-Men Cyclops and Havok - although I do not believe they were aware of his existence. A pity. The three of them together would have been formidable..."

"At any rate, Vulcan was raised by Moira MacTaggert off the coast of Scotland. He attended my school in Massachusetts and once he graduated, he took a position here with us - ensuring the safety of Sebastian's more interesting technology. His powers were similar to his siblings, dealing with energy absorption and manipulation... He was at least an omega level mutant.." She hadn't answered where Sage was or made a comment on Requiem's opinions on what made an individual a traitor, but this was understandable. She had a lot of information to divulge and could only respond to so much.

The Elevator - Hellfire Club Headquarters...

Veil eyed Glimpse for a moment and her perception told her that Glimpse wasn't trying to lead them into a trap. While she was willing to trust Glimpse and work with her, Veil's trust wasn't blind. There was a reason she brought Havok and Sapphire along on this job - not only were they some of the strongest mutants that the Mutant Underground had ever seen, but they didn't trust Glimpse and Tome at all. If anyone would be prepared to be betrayed and have to get out of dodge in a moment's notice, it would be those two.

She saw Tome bring out the notepad and it was adorable - he was a bit like a puppy. Veil pointed at knock out and run for pieces of protocol, before writing down what they were looking for: information on Shaw + Hounds. Glimpse entered in the correct passcode for the elevator and it opened up, letting them all pile in. Britain's daughter went in first and motioned for them to follow.

Havok's eyes narrowed, having a bad feeling about all of this, but he went inside, as did Veil. He was just waiting for someone to give him a reason to start blasting everything in sight and to get his friends - his family - out of there. Glimpse pressed the button for the penthouse suite and Veil took a slight breath. She glanced at Sapphire and nodded, ready to throw up a force field as soon as the doors opened. While she had decided to trust Glimpse, that didn't mean she trusted Shaw and his minions. They were walking into the lion's den and if Glimpse's information was true, these people were kidnapping mutants, drugging them, and turning them into weapons.

Casper's hands were trembling as he reached behind him and added on additional pressure to the head wound. Jack's shirt was soaked with blood - he probably wouldn't want it back after this, assuming they both survived. He was lucid enough to notice the gaping hole in his brother's teeth and he giggled slightly. "You're Toothless - the dragon baby!" Ben shook his head, trying to smack Casper across the face. "Focus or you're going to die!" he scolded urgently.

Before any help could get to them, the sentinel moved forward rapidly. It was practically on top of the brothers - there was no way that they would be able to avoid the blasts. Lady Luck must have been pulling for them however, as the sentinel misfired and hit the wall behind them - was it secretly a stormtrooper in disguise?

Ward rubbed his jaw where Jack had hit him, chuckling and shaking his head. "We're taking that one alive," he told his men. His men took out what looked like radiation detectors, but they were in fact designed to detect the presence of mutants. Seeing a bunch of signals from behind a wall, they covered a portion of the tunnel wall in explosives and blew it up, before swarming into the Morlock training grounds and killing all of the Morlocks there with ease. Most Morlocks didn't have combative powers and the Purifiers were armed to the teeth. They never really stood a chance.

The sentinel had understood Ward's order and left the brothers and the Purifiers behind, marching towards where Erg, Membrain, and Sunshine were - it was a junction. One direction would take the sentinel to the Morlock hideout, the other to a dead end. Erg spotted the brothers behind the sentinel and he knew that they would need to lead the killing machine away from the hideout, as well as away from Jack and Casper.

"Sentinel," Erg muttered, the color draining from his face.

"It looks more like a Terminator thingy to me," Sunshine commented unhelpfully.

"Stay behind me," Erg said, as the sentinel opened fire on the small group of mutants. The first few shots hit the walls near them, but the fourth shot hit Erg and he staggered slightly, absorbing the energy of the blow. He then removed his eyepatch in order to shoot back with a blast of his own, but the sentinel just kept on firing at him, hitting him with blow after blow. It was too much energy for Erg to absorb and each time he tried to release it in a blast, the sentinel shot at him again.

Erg made eye contact with Jack for a moment. "Protect... them..." he grunted, before he exploded. The force sent Sunshine flying to the side, with Membrain being thrown back into the other Morlocks. The sentinel took a fair deal of damage as it was essentially decapitated - the head having been cleaved off of its body from the explosion. It may have killed Erg, but Erg had brought the machine down with him.

The second Mutant Massacre had begun.

Moonwalker accepted Spark Plug's hand and went back up to his feet, seemingly fine despite being shocked. He smiled slightly at James' plan and then said something along the lines of, "Cayden or Moonwalker, by the way," when asked about his name. Colossus' arms are crossed and he seems to be waiting for them to do something. No matter what happens, he never strikes them first, meaning that they could technically plan all day but that wouldn't help anyone. They needed to ring that bell in order to end the training session.

"Booooring," Negasonic taunted, still playing on her phone.

Leighton didn't know what else to do. She thought she could prove herself and be done, but he hadn't calculated the big, hulking man would be light on his feet on a plane of ice. James seemed to have some idea though. It was better than nothing. She had a feeling this was some sort of hand-holding kumbaya moment they were trying to teach them about teamwork or something. "Fair enough, but if she can blast music at him, why not try to blast the bell itself. All we need to do is get it to ring right? No one said he had to touch it."

But she followed along with his plan, going around the side and ready to blast him with ice if he tried anything. She stood her ground against Callie though. "Try not to shock anyone else though." She eyed the bell and then Negasonic who she felt was chiding them. She had to respect the girl though. She would be doing the same thing if she had more experience and years with the Underground.

Ana fought a wave of nerve over Jinx, but the boy (and she would refer to him as a boy until he acted like a man) had a point. Every angle needed to be checked and rechecked. "His death may have been a simple "wrong place, wrong time" scenario or it could be more. We would have to look into it further if we wanted to be sure, but my gut is telling me that it isn't as simple as it appears, because life rarely throws us simplicity."

"We can't sit around here all day and hope to come with a solution, so we should go and investigate more. Unless there is more to add?"
She asked Emma. Hopefully, the woman was not holding anything back, but given the fact that it could very well have been someone from the Hellfire Club behind this, she remained on the list too. She was probably hearing her own thoughts to, in which case, she hoped she heard that Ana was looking at all angles, as intended.

Max nodded silently as Veil pointed out the two methods of tactics that they liked to employ. It seemed to him that the Underground and the Morlock had a few things in common to that respect. He kept his notebook and pen out just in case he needed to jot something down while they were looking around. His nerves began to well up inside of him again as they patiently awaited in the elevator. Each floor felt like it could be his last until finally the doors opened up to reveal an very modern and luxurious indoor penthouse with four others inside. One of whom began to approach them but only seemed to notice Glimpse. Max squeezed his hand tight, trying to relieve some tension and anxiety as the admittedly attractive guy came over to greet her.

Was this a trap? Did she plan this set up to get the leader of the Underground killed and the rest were just casualties to the cause? No, Max had to believe that there was more to it than just a simple set up. His eyes darted side to side as he attempted to get a feel for the room, those within it, and any places to hide, cover, or explore. It appeared to be five one four, no telling what the others powers were but he knew that at least on his team there was himself, a shielder, lasers, and a super fast psychic. Those seemed like good odds to Max, and he jotted down something quietly. ”What do we do? We have the numbers on them but it’ll be hard to investigate anything without causing some sort of alarm.” He held it in front of Veil once more, looking towards her, Sapphire, and Havock for some sort of a plan of operation. Maybe it was best to let Glimpse step out and take the elevator back down, but that would leave her in the wolves den, would she be ok?

Jinx tried hard not to smile as Requiem praised him in just the slightest way. Anastasia too seemed to agree with him which was just the cherry on top. Perhaps this group wouldn’t be so bad, they may actually be fun if they could loosen up a little. Jinx pulled out his phone and sent another text to Casper, a bit more irritated that he wasn’t quite responding to his messages.
”C’mooon buddy, its a great deal really, drugs so fine that you wont even feel a thing, make it all go away like you want it. Now be a dear and text me back will ya?”

He clicked his phone back onto its screensaver before shoving it into his pocket. He looked over the file that Emma had presented them, such a shame, the guy was cute and a mutant too. One of the summers it seemed, boy what Jinx would give to try each of them out. He snapped some pics of the report and the image with his cellphone, hoping that he could use them later in his investigation.

As soon as it appeared that Anastasia was ready to leave, the elevator opened up revealing Captain Britains daughter. Jinx glanced at the elevator in search of an escort or explanation as to why she was here. He turned his attention towards Emma Frost and she was as collected as always, making it very difficult to discern if this new woman was friend or foe. He began to make his way towards the elevator to welcome the guest. ”Well well well, luk wha da cat dragged in eh govn’a? What brings you in here Little Britain? Want a taste of this life of luxury?” Jinx eyed the woman up and down, jinxing her incase she was here for a fight. Her shoelaces would gladly trip her up if she dared to use her super speed on any of those in the room.

Waverley Watts - Feedback

Location: Mutant Underground, Washington D.C. Station (G6 -> I6)
Skills:Hide

As Waverley maintained eye contact with the young man on the other side of their little line, discussing a possible plan, a bright flash of light exploded closer to her, causing her to flinch and step back, covering her eyes with her arm. When she pulled her arm away, she found in front of her the blonde woman in an offensive stance, with the long haired young man laying flat on his back, looking as though he’d stuck a fork into a power outlet. It didn’t take a genius to figure out what had happened, and, as such, Waverley decided it’d be best to take a step back away from the blonde before turning her attention back to the strategist on the other end of the rope.

His eyes seemed to brighten with a new idea, which both interested and concerned Waverley. When he announced his change of plans, she tilted her head, awaiting what he had to say with only slight concern. That concern drastically heightened, however, when she heard her role in the plan. Her eyes widened, and she tilted her head in confusion.

“Top 40?” She questioned, before her eyes lit up with realization. “No, that was a j-...” as she began to speak, her voice, which was already somewhat quiet, trailed off. She knew that this wasn’t a plan that should be put into action without them knowing her power wasn’t going to be much help, but with their strategist speaking with such passion and excitement, she was anxious about the idea of interrupting. She kept opening her mouth to speak, but she never deemed it a good time, and, as such, didn’t speak. But by the time that he was done, the plan was already pushed into motion, with the girl, Leighton she heard their strategist call her, was already moving into place. Having to follow either her or Sparky, she didn’t want to be stuck with the one who’d accidentally fried one of her teammates. So she took a few steps to her right, almost mirroring the steps Leighton had taken. She watched the stylish girl, unsure of how exactly to help, before her eyes shifted to look at a pillar right next to her. She wasn’t going to be a very good distraction...but maybe she could do something else. She carefully slinked behind the pillar, her back to it, listening for any signs of action.

Callie Johnson

Location: Mutant Underground DC Station (6,F) -> (3,F)
Skills: Electricity Manipulation

Callie looked towards James for a moment when he called her Sparky, it was understandable that he hadn't been with the group for a whole day yet either, but sighed a little bit and shook her head slightly. "It's Spark Plug, kinda like the starter of a car engine." Callie said, since she worked as a car mechanic before joining the Underground. She figured it would have been a good enough name for her anyway as she listened to his plan and nodded slightly. She started to walk forward and stopped and stared at Leighton and rolled her eyes slightly towards her.

She was also pretty tempted to just zap Negasonic's phone just for shits and giggles, but she knew that the mutant was pretty attached to her phone and didn't want to piss her off at all. When she was in her position she closed her eyes as she felt the electricity build up in her hands and arms, and looked over towards the closest light fixture that was closest to the bell. There was no rule against using powers against the bell to make it ring. She wanted to use that as a distraction and then zap him as well, but she ended up missing the light but managed to hit Colossus which she knew that metal easily conducted electricity and it would be pretty painful, as she watched him stumble backwards.

James nodded as people broke, watching Leighton and Spark Plug swing to the right. He ignored their spectator, focusing on working the plan. A good plan meant success and provided a foundation to work with in case things changed in the middle of it. He sighed as Spark Plug immediately broke the plan, sending electricity slamming into Colossus. ‘Oof, that’s gotta hurt. Need to stay on her good side.’ He thought to himself. While he appreciated taking an opportunity, he did not appreciate the plan being broken so early. It put Cayden and him behind before they even had a chance to try!

“Alrighty, lets try this. You and me down the middle. Take the ice if you want, I’m going to firmly avoid that.” James muttered to Cayden, waiting for him to take off. James was going to try and slip by in the confusion, hoping the various blasts would keep Colossus off balance enough for him to do it. Well, Leighton’s. He wasn’t sure he could trust Spark Plug not to just aim for the bell repeatedly. He didn’t notice Feedback quietly slip away.

Requiem

Location: The Hellfire Club (D3)
Skills: N/A

Requiem silently agreed with Anastasia, ready to get his fingers wrapped firmly around a fee of hsi ideas. He didn’t bother with the report since Jinx took pictures. He’d have the boy send them his way later so they could review it privately. An omega level killed without much of a fuss? It sounded like sabotage, a person he trusted slipping past whatever warriness the mutant may have had and Requiem believe security personnel with that much responsibility would have their guard up more often than not. The personal details Emma shared only raised more flags than not.

But the new arrival pulled him away from his thoughts. Glimpse arrived with little warning in the club but that was relatively unsurprising. Most of the members didn’t advertise when they were showing up. He tilted his head as Jinx prattled on in his usually obnoxious way, noting the woman wasn’t intending to fight but he wasn’t entirely sure what she was here for and in his original line of work, that meant nothing good. “Why don’t you take a seat with us? We don’t get to see your face very often. Can we get you a drink?” He put his own drink down on the table, grabbing his cane in case she cared for something.

Sapphire

Location: Hellfire Club HQ

Sapphire looked around the group somewhat, still not thrilled by this entire situation, since why the hell did it seem like a good idea to walk into essentially the lion's den? They were getting into the worst possible situation it would seem to he potentially something that could get a hundred times worse if they weren't careful. Nodding her head slightly in response to Veil, she glanced out as the elevator doors opened up, allowing them to see the room where the Hellfire Club was situated.

She did not care too much for those who were in the room at the moment, that much was not to hard to figure out. There were too many people in the room who could probably figure out that they were there in minutes if they really did anything. This was definitely worrisome, not to mention it was obvious that they knew Glimpse decently well. This was just adding to her distrust of the woman, even if she was Psylocke's niece and her family was basically super heroes.

Jack Theriot

Location: Morlock Tunnels (F1 -> F2)
Skills: Hand to Hand Combat

Jack looked over at Erg when he saw him getting blasted at by the Sentinel. This was not a good situation to be in, but everything that was going on, he basically didn't really hear what Ward had said to the rest of the Purifiers. What he did focus on, was what Erg had just said to him, and then the explosion. That was not what he had expected to happen, it was nothing like what should have happened, and his eyes grew wide, seeing the Sentinel fall to the ground and there being nothing left of Erg at all. He turned to look at Casper, before grabbing his brother's hand to essentially hold onto the shirt that Jack had been using to try and stop the bleeding and made sure he kept it there. "Keep pressure there Casper," he said, sounding almost a bit cold with his tone of voice. He managed to stand up from where he was, and turned to look at Ward.

"You son of a bitch," he said, before he went to punching and trying to knock him out. Jack was beyond pissed off, which was definitely something considering the fact that he never tended to yell at anyone, never really seemed to even get mad, but there wasn't anything he could do. He moved closer to Ward as he tried to knock the guy down, each punch was getting little by little stronger, despite the fact that Ward was withstanding the punches fairly well, then came the last punch he did. This last one knocked Ward down to the ground, but he wasn't out cold yet, and Jack was just glaring at him.

Washington D.C.: September 9th, 2020 - 7:40 PM

Emma shook her head at Anastasia. "I wish I knew more, but such is life," she told her simply. She could understand that they were frustrated - she certainly was picking that up in spades from Jinx - but she knew very little more than they did with this situation. Her guesses right now were based on instincts and that wasn't how the White Queen of the Hellfire Club liked to make her decisions. Strategy required cold, impersonal logic.

Veil wished that they had a telepathic channel of sorts to communicate with, as Tome had a lot of questions. But with Jinx standing practically in the elevator as he went to greet Glimpse, she didn't dare make the noise of scratching a writing instrument against paper. The mistress of invisibility held her breath, trying to increase their odds of avoiding detection by Jinx. Of course, he wasn't the one to be scared of - that was Emma Frost. Veil recognized her and knew that she was a telepath. If they were lucky, Emma wouldn't detect the presence of their minds in the elevator, but then again, since when had the Mutant Underground been lucky? She could only hope that Glimpse was shielding them psychically.

Requiem's vocal hypnosis succeeded, causing Glimpse to take a seat on the couch despite her inherent resistance to mind control from her telepathy. Emma didn't seem to notice that there were invisible mutants in the elevator - though if she had noticed, would anyone be able to tell? Her facial expressions were enigmatic to the extreme.

"Jinx, dear, do fetch Miss Braddock a drink," Emma beckoned, wondering why the mutant had decided to go stand in the elevator. He was a little bit of an oddball. "Now darling, as Requiem said... Why are you here?" she asked. The evening was taking an interesting turn. She had to wonder if this was some ploy of Sebastian's.

Havok was on the side of the elevator furthest away from Jinx and he knew that Veil would be able to keep him covered. The sooner they were in and out of this place, the better - especially since he didn't see Sebastian Shaw anywhere. Moving silently surprisingly well, as if he had been born for stealth, Havok moved out of the elevator and spotted a set of filing cabinets to his right. That seemed promising, so he slowly crept over towards them. If people got talking loudly enough, he could potentially open them up and steal some files without anyone noticing.

The Purifiers were a ruthless invading force. Coming out from the training grounds, they took out several Morlocks without mercy, including Membrain. It was Membrain's abilities that concealed the entrance to the Morlock hideout and with the illusion gone, the Purifiers spilled into what had once been a safe haven. Including Blink and Glow, just six Morlocks were still in the hide-out awaiting evacuation. They were going as fast as they possibly could, but only so many people could run through one of Blink's portals at a time.

"GO!" Blink shouted at the remaining Morlocks, hoping that they would be fast enough to finish the evacuation. Glow sent orbs of light swarming into the air, hitting most of the Purifiers in the face and blinding them. She missed three of them however and those three opened fire on the Dancing Lights' creator - she was dead before she even hit the ground. Stray bullets hit the two Morlocks closest to Blink, ending their lives as well.

Tears were pouring down her face as Blink let out a scream as she tried to do something beyond her capabilities - to have two sets of portals going at once. She wanted to send the Purifiers far away, to the middle of the desert or something like that. Instead, the portal she threw at them cut them in half at the waist line, killing the invaders as their bodies dropped to the ground. Horrified at what she had done, Blink just stared, speechless. She had sworn to never use her gifts to kill - to never become like the monsters that made up her family tree.

"Oh, god..."

Back out in the tunnels, Sunshine was staring at the small, ash like remains of Erg with horror. Her first real family had been taken away from her by the Purifiers. And just as she was about to get a family again, they were slaughtered. Tears welled up in her eyes as she ran towards Erg's remains, shoving aside the pieces of scrap metal from the Sentinel. "No, no, no!" she shouted. "Regenerate!" she ordered, hoping that Erg secretly had that talent and would be able to come back from almost nothing.

He remained dead though. Charred pieces of him littered the ground and Sunshine's chin wobbled. She was trying not to cry - only little kids cried. She wasn't a little kid. She could take care of herself. She didn't need anyone... "You're not dead," she mumbled, curling into a little ball as she sobbed, mourning a friend she had only known for a brief time. This was her curse then - to have her family taken away from her over and over again. How was she going to break this cycle? What was stopping the Purifiers from always coming away and taking away her chances at happiness?

As for the brothers, Casper was barely conscious. He had already had one hand on his wound so when Jack took his other hand, he looked a bit like he was expecting someone to arrest him - he had his hands already behind his head. "Stay awake!" Ben kept on reminding him, but Casper was only able to mumble things in response. His phone still didn't have any signal as well, so he was completely unaware that Jinx was trying to sell him drugs at the moment.

Ward spat a bit of blood out of his mouth, glaring up at Jack. "Fucking mutie scum!" he shouted. He stumbled for a moment, before running at Jack and he punched him - only for Jack's elasticity to kick in and send Ward flying backwards. He was badly bruised, but the Purifier wasn't down for the count just yet. "I could do this all fucking day..." he muttered, getting back up to his feet slowly.

"Correct - you must only ring bell," Colossus confirmed. Even though he wasn't moving forward to attack them, only fighting defensively, he was still listening to all of their plans. His face was expressionless and neutral, but he was rather proud of them. Sometimes when people did this exercise, they never figured out what the point of it was. They just rushed in blindly as individuals, not understanding that at its core, this was a team building exercise. The only way to defeat a colossus was to trust and work together.

Even though Callie had hit him and gotten him to stumble, he largely hadn't moved from the one ~safe~ spot in the ice. Of course it wasn't ice at this point - it was incredibly hot and humid in Washington D.C., so all of the ice had melted and turned to water. There was now just a puddle in the training room which would still prove to be a hazard, but not nearly as dangerous as the ice had been.

Moonwalker nodded at James, just as they could hear Negasonic sarcastically go - "You guys are fantastic at this!" - and he then charged forward at Colossus. He grabbed Colossus' legs and tried to topple the giant, only for Colossus to shake his grip off. However, he was distracted at the moment - James would have an opening to ring the bell.

Waverley would intercept a nearby radio transmission - "Black King, we're on site."

Max held his breath in fear as the mutant lingered by the elevator. Waiting for a moment that he would turn his back or walk away so that he could step through the elevator before the doors closed. As the dark haired teen removed his arm from the elevator door and made his way over to the bar station, Max began to slowly make his way out of the elevator and into the room. Legs crouched, each step carefully placed as he watched those in the room and kept glancing at his surroundings so that he would trip or hit anything that could make noise. Havok it seemed had already moved his way towards the files and may of been waiting for an opportune moment in which he could open or search them without being caught.

Max on the other hand had other ideas in store. Doubting that the villains would believe that their place was suddenly haunted, He slunk his way into the corner between the filing cabinet and wall, slowly getting down into a sitting position and pulling out his camera. He hit the record button and began to film the interaction between Glimpse and the others. Max tried to twist the lens to zoom in and out on each persons face so that they had some form of record on as to who was there and who to look out for in the future. Aside from that he tried to get as much audio as he could so that they could look back on it and see if there was anything missed in the heat of the moment. So far nothing too damning was taking place, and this whole ordeal was more nerve wracking than anything. The pit of Max’s stomach began to knot and his anxiety was kicking in, making him wonder just how powerful these mutants were, and just what were they capable of.

Jinx was a bit relieved that he had gone against his immediate urge to use his powers on Emma Frost. It was clear that a more gentle hand, or forceful mind, would be needed at the moment, and if he had managed to fritz there pretty little head of hers, they may of been in some deeper shit at the moment. He heard Requiem suggest for Braddock to sit down on the couch, and with her compliance Jinx was more than certain he was manipulating her. Good, that meant that things may go smoother than previously thought and no more mutant blood had to be spilled. He simply smiled at her as she made her way to the couch and then turned and gave Emma a wide grin. ”Why I would love to get her something to drink. After all, talking can make someone so perched? Parched? Parcheesi? I don’t know blame the American Education system or something.” Jinx quickly spun on his heel, turning away from the elevator and making his way towards the bar.

As he stood there eyeing all of the various bottles and realizing he had no idea what to grab the woman to drink, he turned his attention to the flavored bottles. Pulling out his phone and turning to google he searched for traditional English cocktails and found something called a Pimm’s cup. This however, was way more work than he cared to do and so instead he decided to create his own concoction. Jinx grabbed a metal shaker and threw a few cubes of ice in there, he grabbed a bottle of cream liquor that was stored inside the bars cooler and poured it into the shaker. He proceeded to toss a few more things in there, whipped cream flavored Vodka, peach flavored Vodka, and a splash of cherry flavored Vodka to add a little cherry on top of the whipped cream. He shook it up vigorously and then opened the cap to pour out the cocktail into the glass; it was pure alcohol as he had no knowledge to cut it with anything else. Jinx made his way over towards Glimpse, sitting next to her and placing the glass on the table. ”There you go. Made you a lovely peach cobbler.”

Leighton Brooks

Leighton had kept her eyes on Colussus as the others went off to do their own thing. Callie, or Spark Plug or whatever, had managed to injure not only one of their own teammates but also the man training them. She kept a mental note to not be anywhere in her vicinity on an actual mission. Still, he seemed hurt and somewhat distracted by that. And Negasonic finally put down her phone and actually started to help them. It was enough to distract Colussus enough that James managed to get behind him, close enough to ring the bell.

Every synapse in her mind wanted her to be the one to do it, but she would concede that it would end training quicker if James rang it, so she summoned her ice. Trying to use the water as leverage, she struggled to form the ice. She didn't know if it was the heat or the strain, but she couldn't quite get it. Eventually, she managed to feel the ice form and solidify around Colossus' feet, keeping him in place. Hopefully. That way, in case he did catch James behind him, he couldn't move easily, giving James enough time to ring the bell and end this.

She nodded towards James. A signal to end this training session.

With an equal mix of satisfied and unsatisfied at the answers given, she began to stand up to leave until a girl showed up. A girl recognized along with the others. Why was she here now? This was odd. "Yes, do please join us." Requiem managed to get her to sit and Jinx stood up to prepare her a drink of some concoction. Given his nature, she was sure the drink would be disastrous, but she wasn't concerned with how comfortable the girl was. After all, she had just walked into a room full of people with no intended purpose.

"Now, drink in hand, let us get to know one another. You start, of course. Mind telling us why you are here?" Ana prepared to delve deeper if needed. A simple balance of morality and secrets would be spilled easily. She was already under Requiem's control, more or less, but that could be broken. Plus, they had Emma Frost nearby in case things went south, as she was expecting them to. Surely if this was a ploy, there would be more than just one girl, even with her powers and father.

Callie Johnson

Location: Mutant Underground DC Station (3,F) -> (E,2)
Skills:

Callie took a moment as she stopped moving and watched as the others moved closer towards the bell, she was just simply keeping her distance as she eyed the water on the ground. She knew that shocking anyone who was on the water was a really bad idea. And with Colossus being metal as well that would do more harm than good as well. And with Cayden close by as well she would end up shocking him as well which she didn't want to do that either. He did say that powers were permitted and she knew she couldn't physically move the big metal guy either as well.

She noticed that James was getting pretty close to the bell as well she took a few steps forward to help Cayden as she noticed ice starting to form around the floor again and around Colossus' feet. She wasn't sure how long his feet could be held down, but knowing that he was pretty damn strong as well it wouldn't take to long for him to break his feet free from out of the ice there as well.

Waverley Watts - Feedback

Location: Mutant Underground, Washington D.C. Station (I6 -> H4)
Skills:Radio Wave Detection

Waverley pushed her back up against the pillar that she hid behind, taking a deep breath and thinking about what she could do. If she was fast, and Colossus was distracted enough by the others, she could maybe bolt to the pillar across from her. From there, it wouldn’t be too hard to get behind Colossus and ring the bell. The plan raced through her head at least three times as she listened behind her for any sort of sounds to signify Colossus was distracted. After a few moments of waiting, the loud sound of electric buzzing filled the air, the same noise that accompanied the electrocution of their ally. It caused Waverley to pop her head out from behind the pillar to gaze out at the scene in front of her. There she saw Colossus standing in a defensive position, Leighton and Madame Tesla Coil, or Spark Plug, as she called herself, in front of him. Though what she saw behind him made her shoulders drop, and caused a disappointed sigh to slip out of her mouth: their strategist, standing only a yard away from the bell. Waverley hadn’t expected to actually be the one to ring the bell, not with so many mutants with actual combat-oriented powers. But part of her had at least hoped-

"Black King, we're on site."

Waverley’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion as her brain picked up a passing transmission, the unknown voice ringing through her head. She opened her mouth to speak, but instead inhaled a deep breath. Her forehead wrinkled as she stared off into a fixed point at Colossus’ frozen feet, her mind focusing in on the transmission, tuning in to listen for any response. She wasn’t disappointed.

"Good work, Magik. Things have proceeded according to plan in the tunnels. Proceed with phase two."

After hearing the latter part of the transmission, Waverley pulled herself out of focus, looking up to Colossus’ face. She stepped out of hiding, walking closer to the middle of the room, raising her right hand in the air and giving it a wave for Colossus’ attention.

“Hey, Colossus, I just picked up something that might be important,” she said, her voice lacking some of the hesitation it held before. “I heard someone say, ‘Black King, we’re on site,’ and then whoever they were talking to was like, ‘Good job Magik. Things are going according to plan in the tunnels. Go ahead with phase two.’” She explained, before shooting a glance to the side, her hesitation returning. “I mean, it might just be a laser tag team, or some super intense letterboxers, but since we’re, you know, a secret superhero organization, I thought it might be worth pointing out.”

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: Hellfire Club C4 -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Luna resisted little by little as she was forced to walk over and sit on the couch. She eyed Requiem, having never met him before. He would present a challenge as much as Emma Frost would it seemed. The little fool who tied her shoelaces together like a five year old was just plainly annoying but she could manage him. After sitting down, Luna slipped her shoes off and leaned against the arm of the couch. It seemed her laces were terribly knotted and she would probably just end up replacing them. Pity, she liked these shoes the most. She eyed the little man making her drink with annoyance before looking at Emma. The other woman in the room was questioning why she was here as well but Luna kept her focus on Emma. She was the one to talk to if she wanted access to Shaw.
”I was looking for my Uncle. Was hoping to meet with him privately actually.” She knew the Hellfire club was busy with people coming and going but was hoping for a bit of luck in that sense. Of course one couldn’t have too much luck. Jinx came back over with Luna’s drink and she simply stared at the thing he held in front of her before she looked at him. ”Whiskey actually if you wouldn’t mind. Neat.” She turned her attention looking about the room. She hadn’t a clue were the others were and she wasn’t about to search for their minds with Emma there but she trusted they were all off the elevator and if they weren’t, better for them all. ”You blokes don’t redecorate much do you,” she noted as she scanned the room before looking back at Emma with a slight smirk.
As she sat there, she did everything within her power to think of other things like her Uncle, her family back home and even Emma but her mind continued to drift to the group lurking behind Veil in the room. If Emma chose to invade her mind, this was not going to end well at all. Luna knew she would have to give Emma something in order to gain trust into the group but she just prayed that Emma trusted Luna enough to not search her mind. After all, Emma had watched Luna grow up to an extent as well and she most likely knew about the family history with the Hellfire Club.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: Mutant Underground Third Floor E6 ---> CD2-- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Well that was unexpected. Cayden stared up at the ceiling, suddenly on the ground and vibrating until he was hauled up. He shook himself, still feeling the effects of being shocked while he introduced himself to James. ”That was really quite shocking you know,” he commented to Callie before falling back into line. He looked at James and nodded once before he shifted, tying his hair back with a leather tie before he cracked his neck and shifted into a running stance. He grinned at Colossus before shooting himself forward.
He remained upright until the last second and barrelled into Colossus’s legs like a ram in an effort to take him out. The giant metal man barely bugged but Cayden had an excellent grip as well and refused to let go but only continued to push on the man. The water underneath him soaked his pants but at least it wasn’t ice anymore. Ice did start to form but around Colossus’s feet. Cayden grinned and released Colossus for a moment, taking a step back so he could reposition and tackle the man if needed. He paused though when Waverly spoke up about hearing some transmission. He glanced between Colossus and her.

James was so close he could practically taste it. James carefully stepped around the puddle of water, skirting the water line so he’d have the least amount of space between him and the bell. Leighton executed the plan perfectly, swinging right to start dividing the big guy's attention. That’s what the whole plan demanded, carefully splitting Colluses’s attention until one big catalyst brought any focus tumbling down. Spark Plug swung around with Leighton rather than on the other side, definitely not part of the plan but a survivable decision. He wasn’t really sure where Feedback vanished too but his thoughts were cut off as Cayden charged and James ended up not three feet from the bell. He was still just a little concerned if he charged in now, the metal giant would still be able to knock him back and it would all come crashing down.

Then Leightong worked some magic with the water, freezing Colluses’s feet, and he bolted at her signal, shouting out an ecstatic Whoop! as the bell chimed when he rang it a few times for good measure. They’d beaten it on the first attempt of the plan and it felt great. “Good job guys! That was great!” He beamed, riding the adrenaline high from the encounter. He hadn’t been entirely convinced this would work but it did and that was all that mattered.

But he frowned at Feedback’s comments. Black King? Magik? Tunnels? He pulled his phone out, frowning at no returned texts. He’d been pretty sure Casper was just as excited about their plans as he was and the lack of messages made him nervous. It was probably just the tunnels blocking signal. He couldn’t keep the worry that welled up inside of him, despite the rationalization.

“You don’t think they’re talking about the Morlock tunnels do you?” He asked, concern evident in his voice.

Requiem

Location: The Hellfire Club (D3)
Skills: N/A

Requiem raised his eyebrows in amusement at Emma’s request that Jinx make her a drink. There was just as much a chance of him poisoning the drink as there was not but it wouldn’t be anything deadly. The girl seemed at ease here and that would afford her a certain amount of protection of the chaotic mutant’s antics. He chuckled softly to himself as he found an echo of his own question revolving around the group. His guard was still up of course as he picked up his briefcase and settled it on the couch next to him. He’d like easy access to the contents. Maybe he was a touch paranoid but conquincidences rarely panned out well. Sometimes it took a new adornment between the eyes to solve those little hiccups and unlike the boy, Requiem had little issue solving such minor inconveniences regardless of who they were.

The newcomer’s answer was rather uninspiring and Requiem settled back into the sofa, his hand still on his briefcase. He watched her carefully, picking up his wine glass again but not sipping at it. He swirled the glass absently, more than happy to observe for the moment. She was an unknown variable and he would very much enjoy watching Emma handle the girl if the telepath so wished. This evening would hopefully get more interesting now.

Sapphire

Location: Hellfire Club HQ E6 -> G3
Skills Ice Manipulation

A thought occurred to Sapphire as they were listening to the conversation in front of them. It involved Emma Frost on the far side of the room, and she instantly leaned over to whisper to Veil. "Veil, coming here was a big mistake... Emma Frost is a telepath, she's going to figure out we're here really really quickly. Whether from detecting us in the room, reading Glimpse's mind, or Glimpse alerting her telepathically. She'll know we're here," she whispered, speaking rather quickly, before she instantly left the elevator.

There wasn't much they could do about the crappy situation that they were already in, there wasn't really a way for things to get better all things considering. For all she knew, Glimpse was going to alert Emma to them being there, or something, and telepaths had a wide range of abilities, including things like mind control. Walking over, she immediately snuck up behind Emma and used her powers to attempt to freeze Emma, or at least enough of a chill to make it difficult for her to focus. Sapphire was fairly certain that it worked, but Emma definitely knew they were there now, and had shifted into her diamond form.

Jack Theriot

Location: Morlock Tunnels (F2 -> B2)
Skills: Hand to Hand Combat

Jack was beyond pissed off at Ward. After all, he essentially had come in to cause so much pain and chaos in the Morlock Tunnels, when the group hadn't done anything against the Purifiers, if they ever fought the group, the Morlocks primarily defended themselves. There wasn't much that he could do to help the Morlocks or his brother until Ward was out of the area completely. Jack wasn't generally one to even think about killing another person, but he was starting to really consider strangling Ward to death.

He walked over towards where Ward had fallen when he got thrown backwards, slowly as his own body was hurting a lot from his own injuries still, and he was glaring at him. If looks could kill, Jack wouldn't need to strangle Ward or something, he'd already be dead. "You call me scum, then what the hell does that make you since you are the one who came bursting in here when we weren't doing anything to you," he said, before he punched Ward in the face. He was hoping to knock him out, but it didn't seem like that was going to happen, as Ward's face was just bloodied, but he was still conscious.

Requiem wouldn't know to look for invisible mutants in the room, but his perceptive abilities are not too shabby. He will notice Jinx's appalling skills in making drinks, something not being quite right with Glimpse, and it will finally occur to him that Emma isn't calm - she's furious. Of course, everyone in the room will be able see ice suddenly form out of nowhere on Emma, quickly followed by the White Queen switching into her diamond form. When like this, she is immune to psychic powers - yet also does not have access to her own telepathy and telekinesis. She gains superhuman strength, durability, and stamina though, making her no less dangerous than in her natural form.

The White Queen laughed slightly, looking like the cat who ate the canary as she smirked, her eyes flickering over towards her fellow members of the Hellfire Club as if Sapphire was just a child with a toy gun. "To me, my heroes," she then said, breaking the silence as she alluded to the famous quote of Professor Xavier, leader of the X-Men.

Veil managed to keep herself and Max invisible, but she couldn't do the same for Sapphire and Havok. Maybe some of this footage would be useful for Max and be a reason to keep on filming, but so far, none of them had done anything incriminating yet. If anything, the footage would be more dangerous to the Mutant Underground as Sapphire had attacked Emma Frost, CEO of Frost International, first. Any and all actions here could be considered self defense, especially since the Mutant Underground folks had snuck into a secure area.

"Hey, Frosty. Still pining after my brother?" Havok teased, before he fired off circular beams of energy at Anastasia. Sometimes he still would shake his hips to send them off as hula hoops, but he had a device clipped to his shirt that helped him to focus his energies into a singular blast. It made aiming easier and he hit Anastasia, knocking her off the couch and onto the ground. She was lucky she didn't hit her head on the coffee table.

Veil threw her hand out, creating a small force field in front of Sapphire just in time, as Emma Frost punched the field as hard as she could. And due to how Veil's shields worked, all of the energy and momentum was transferred to the Mutant Underground leader, sending her flying to the back of the elevator. Her extremely bushy hair managed to soften the blow significantly. Of course, the resounding thud let Emma Frost and everyone in the room know where another invisible assailant was.

"Connards," Veil cursed, becoming visible - Max then would no longer be invisible as well. That was unfortunate - but so was the fact that from the rapid escalation of the already building tension in the room, Glimpse hadn't received information on where Shaw was. But even if they had answered her, would they have told the truth?

It was probably for the best that Casper's phone still didn't have signal - it was a bad time for a drug deal. The living séance finally slipped into unconsciousness from his injuries. As he drifted off, he could have sworn that he was back in Sephora and all of his favorite eyeshadow palettes were on sale. Ben tried to shake him awake, but each time he grabbed Casper his hands just went straight through him. "I hate being dead!" he complained. "Help! Somebody help!!!!!" Ben screamed, knowing it would do no good but he still had to try.

"MY BEST FRIEND IS DYING NOW WILL SOMEONE PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!!!!!"

No one heard that, obviously. Ward got back up to his feet again, like some sort of racist Captain America. He spat in Jack's face, though it was really more blood than saliva at this rate. "You should have gone back to the fucking hellscape you came from!" Ward advised Jack, before swinging a punch at him. He missed, but barely. Using the already established momentum, he went in for another punch and connected, hitting Jack in the mouth. Ward stumbled slightly, his battered face sapping his stamina and making it difficult for him to see. "This is our fucking country! You're a bunch of goddamn roaches!"

He then wrapped his hands around Jack's neck and lifted his knee up at the same time as he slammed Jack's face down. However, the Purifier certainly wasn't the brightest person around - thanks to Jack's natural elasticity, Ward ended up being thrown off balance and he tumbled to the ground, Jack falling on top of him and pinning him.

Meanwhile, Blink had gotten the last few living Morlocks to safety - she had transported them to the nearest Morlock Community. It just so happened to be the Baltimore Morlocks. Shutting down the portal, Blink was panting and crying as she ran out of the main hideout, looking for other survivors. Each time she saw the fallen form of one of her friends, her knees became a little weaker. It made her glad that most of the newcomers had decided to leave - would she have found Leighton's body on the ground? Maybe James'? Or Max's?

"Hello? C-Can anyone hear me?" Blink asked, before she rounded a corner and saw Sunshine weeping in the midst of what could only be described as a horrific and bloody tragedy. The elder mutant picked up at the pace, going at a run over towards the young girl. "Hey, hey kid, are you hurt? I need you to answer me, I know this is scary, but are you injured?" Blink asked, putting a hand on Sunshine's back.

"I'm okay," she sniffled. "Erg... He..."

Blink nodded, fighting back tears. Too many tears and her vision would be blurred, preventing her from being able to see - as well as from being able to make portals if she couldn't "see" the dimensional energy all around them. "Come on, we're going to go find others," Blink told her firmly, putting an arm around Sunshine as she got the girl to her feet.

They weren't too far from where Casper was and Blink held her breath, checking for a pulse - it was faint, but it was there. She let out a sigh of relief. "Kid, keep pressure on the wound," she then said, hearing Jack and Ward down the tunnel a little further. "I need to go deal with someone."

"Well done!" Colossus praised, an honest smile on his steely face as he looked at the young mutants gathered around him - or rather, the New Mutants. They had managed to complete the objective of the exercise faster than most - they realized that they needed to work together in order to overcome a superior foe. "You have learned first lesson. We are stronger together," he added, just in case anyone had been confused as to the purpose of the training exercise.

"Let me guess, they get participation trophies now?" Negasonic asked, typing away at her phone nonstop until Waverley mentioned the radio transmissions she had picked up. No matter what happened, Negasonic never stopped texting. This was enough to make the young rogue's blood run cold as she tossed her phone aside carelessly and looked up. Educated at Xavier's school, Negasonic knew exactly who the Black King was - Sebastian Shaw, the very man Veil and the others had gone off to investigate thanks to Glimpse's intel.

Colossus looked at Waverley intently. "Do you know how far they are?" he asked her, very concerned. He didn't know if she idly picked up transmissions when they were close by or if the range didn't really matter for her powers - his worry was that these people, members of the Hellfire Club, were right outside, coming to attack. They were incredibly short staffed and if they did come, it would be up to him and the people currently in the training room to protect the Underground station. "Tunnels... I do not know. Morlock tunnels are hard to find," he then told James, trying to reassure him.

All of the sudden, one of Spark Plug's powers began to act up - her empathy. She would feel this intense crippling desire and need, it would be overwhelming and bring her down to her knees. Previously, she only would have felt this sort of thing from hardcore drug addicts in the thralls of addiction, off to go and get a fix. The feelings certainly aren't coming from anyone in the room, so who could they be from?

It was a short lived mystery.

Two individuals suddenly materialized on the staircase - Magik and Vulcan. Colossus' eyes widened and from pure shock, he shifted out of his steel form and back into his natural one. He definitely recognized the girl - though there was no recognition in hers. She would have been considered beautiful and stunning, if it wasn't for the deep, red circles around her eyes - anyone who had seen an addict before would realize the cause.

"Boo," Vulcan said, before sending yellow energy blasts from his hands not at any of the mutants present, but the pillars. If these pillars were destroyed, it would only be a matter of time before the entire structure of the Mutant Underground station was compromised, making it liable to collapse. Magik projected eldritch energy around her hands, before her sword (called the Soulsword) materialized.

"Illyana..." Colossus said softly, as Magik charged at Colossus and Moonwalker, out for blood and with the intent to kill.

The second phase of the Mutant Massacre had begun.

Max sat there filming the meeting, trying to get as much detail and evidence as he could before Glimpse hopefully led them out and away so that the real investigation could begin. His back was pressed against the corner of the wall, camera pointed straight at the group and his breath steady. If it wasn’t for all his daily meditation and breathing excersises he may have been more bundle of nerves than anything. He watched as the ghostly form of Sapphire began to make her way towards the elder woman on the couch. What in the world was she thinking? Not long after, ice began to form on Emma Frost and the only thing running through Max’s mind was ”What the hell is she thinking?! What is she doing?!” Sapphire had, in one fell swoop, jeopardized the mission. Max sat there, stowing the camera as he tried to think of the best plan for this scenario but things kept spiraling out of control. Havok revealed himself and launched a blast towards a young girl, and then a loud thud could be heard coming from the elevator.

Knock out and Run. Those were his instructions. Max’s invisibility fell as he was beginning to stand up and run. If he could just get to the computer, then maybe this wouldn’t be such a waste of time. The footage was now only incriminating to the Underground and thus unusable, so perhaps if he could unplug and grab the computer then maybe they can have someone hack into the hard drives and find some dirt or information that is needed and helpful. Ugh, why didn’t he got to unplug them first while he was invisible? As Max was bolting towards the desk setup a pink bolt of energy flew straight towards him, the blast distracting him and causing him to lose his footing as he tripped and fell down onto the ground. Once there Max conjured a ball of fire and hurled it at the bar, causing it to ignite and burn all the alcohol, creating a large blaze and then slow burn as it all caught and crackled. The Smokey scent filling the air. As he watched the fire burn he thought it only prudent to separate the villains so that they wouldn’t be able to work at full strenght. Max began to stream his cosmic energy towards the fire, redirecting it and pulling it so that it now formed a ring around the couch that the two men and Glimpse were at.

Jinx scowled at the woman as she declined the drink that he worked so hard to create. Oh he’ll show her a whiskey neat all right! Yeah, he’ll just whisk this drink up and toss it in her face, now that would be neat wouldn’t it?! But before he could even grab the glass Emma turned into her diamond form. Jinx’s sight immediately shot over towards the woman standing behind her, a mischievous grin spreading across his face as he could feel a fight about to break out. Without skipping a beat Jinx immediately hexed Glimpse, making sure that she would more likely fail than succeed if she were to try and enter the fight. A pretty boy popped up soon after and slung some energy at Anastasia. He rather mutants didn’t hurt each other but...she deserved it. ”I don’t know about your brother but I’ll glad take you out for a spin pretty boy.” This day was getting better and better, four against two was no challenge, hopefully this new addition would make the fight more fair for them.

As if the gods that willed heard his plea, a fourth hero popped up and began to scurry like the rodents these heroes were. ”Where you going little buddy. THE FUNS JUST STARTED” Jinx hurled a psybolt towards the blonde cutie (Seriously? How do these guys find all the cute ones?) but unfortunately missed his shot as the boy fell to the ground. Just his luck, maybe that could change. Jinx slowly began to walk towards Max menacingly when and flash of heat came from his right. A blaze of fire flared up as the blondie light the bar on fire and then proceeded to encircle Jinx, Requiem, and the traitor together. Fires weren’t a huge deal, the circus had flame swallowers, breathers, dancers, and more. So what’s a little flaming circle but a piece of home? It was however inconvenient for a fight. Jinx turned and cursed the ice-y mutant so that he already weak mind was more easily controlled through Requiems honeyed words.”Daddy, be a dear and put that cold bitch to use, I’ve already readied her for you.” Jinx gave Max a wink before turning to face Glimpse with a grin. ”Come on Little Britain, hit me with your best shot”

James Kingston

Location: The Mutant Underground (F7)
Skills: Kickboxing

James whirled around so fast at the new sounds that he saw spots in front of his eyes. Two new people, clearly not allies, showed up and started blasting. Several expletives exploded in his head, counting the number of people who would die if those pillars collapsed. The girl charged Colossus and Cayden. Colossus at the very least had plenty of experience in this field and Cayden seemed like he could handle himself. The man was the priority, taking down the support pillars would kill most of them and their attackers seemed to have a handy way of disappearing. James made his decision and charged the man.

James charged him, staying as silent as he could until he was within striking distance. His first punch missed the man’s head but he used the momentum to swivel on his heel and bring his elbow into the man’s arm, shifting it far enough that his follow up kick caught them man right in the ribs. The resulting crack of a rib told James exactly where to follow up next. Focusing on the broken rib should keep the man in enough pain he wouldn’t be interested in the pillars, only James. A nagging suspicion told him he’d regret it but at least it would be a great story to tell Casper over coffee.

Requiem

Location: The Hellfire Club (D3)

Requiem rolled his eyes as the fighting started, taking one last sip of his wine as Anastasia took her tumble. And all this banter. Did they think they were in a movie? Children, the lot of them. At least, that’s what he thought until the fire. Unpleasant memories rose unbidden, faint screams and begging filling his ears, the scent of burning flesh searing his nostrils. Whoever threw the fireball would regret their decision dearly if he got their hands on him. He opened his briefcase, teeth clenched as he willed his hands not to shake. His head snapped up at Jinx’s comment, glaring at the boy.

“I recommend you chose your words wisely boy or I will make you eat your tongue.” He snapped, the strain in his voice, though he raised his voice over the chaos, making eye contact with Sapphire. “Quell the fire and subdue your allies." He commanded the woman, not willing to waste Jinx’s set up. She resisted but his command seemingly set in and he turned his attention to the next task. He would have words with the brat but for now, ending the fight was a priority. Anastasia’s assailant was the next target, pulling his gun from its holster and pulling the trigger as soon as the intruder was in his sights. The tremble in his hands sent to bullet wide to his disappointment.

Sapphire

Location: Hellfire Club HQ G3 -> F5
Skills Ice Manipulation

Sapphire was not too thrilled by the fact that Emma was now in her diamond form, and was not just going to go down without a fight. It was obvious the group wasn't going to be too easy to take down, and honestly this is kind of what Sapphire had expected to happen all things considering. They were going to have to do things quickly, no matter what happens, and she looked over at the others in the room, seeing that just about everyone who had come with them was visible now. However what she hadn't expected was to essentially listen to Requiem's words, despite every bone in her body not wanting her to.

His words, telling her to essentially subdue her allies in some way, her mind wasn't exactly working correctly. So instead of attacking Emma again like she had wanted to, she walked right over to Havok, pulled him close to her, and kissed him. Her powers didn't seem to want to work right off the bat, so she essentially was kissing him for a while, however eventually, her powers kicked in, starting to freeze him. After another moment, she pulled away, just staring at him, saying nothing at all.

Jack Theriot

Location: Morlock Tunnels B2 -> D2
Skills: Hand to Hand Combat

Jack was staring at Ward, not too thrilled with the guy's words, or the fact that he was still breathing even though so many had died in the span of an hour or so because of this guy. It was making Jack really consider strangling Ward, but a little voice in the back of his head was telling him not to, so he wasn't going to. Instead, he just started pummeling Ward, punching the guy, until after a little while, he had managed to punch him enough to get the guy to fall unconscious. After that, he stood up from where he was, and started walking away from him.

Walking along, he saw Blink not too far away from them and walked over, limping really, to her. "Did everyone else get out? Did you evacuate as many as possible?" he asked, sounding a little bit out of breath. Another thought crossed his mind, as he remembered essentially leaving Casper alone while he dealt with Ward, and he was worried about the kid. "Is my brother and the kid alright? I know we need to get Casper to a hospital or something probably..."

Waverley Watts - Feedback

Location: Mutant Underground, Washington D.C. Station (H4 -> H5 -> E2 -> H5)
Skills:Hide, Perception, Run

When Waverley's discovery sparked up a conversation between a few of the other members, Colossus included, she felt herself swell with more pride than she cared to admit. For the first time in her new superhero career, she'd done something useful. She couldn't help a small smirk from taking residence on her face. That smirk quickly dropped, however, when the next emotion set in: complete and utter terror. If she had been useful, and the transmission did mean something, that meant there was a possibility that something was about to go down. And Waverley was not ready to be throne into an actual, real life superhero situation. She hadn't even really been trained how to fight, and she didn't really have a power she could fall back on in that respect. She did her best to shake off this fear as she looked to Colossus.

She was about to stutter out that if she was able to pick them up randomly, they had to be within at least a mile, but before she could, their human taser fell to her knees in agony. It caused Waverley to let out a loud gasp, her eyes going wide. She took a step towards Spark Plug with the intention of helping her, but before she could, she spotted two new forms at the top of the staircase, pulling her attention away from her ally. God they even looked like supervillains in a sense. One looking like some sort of smooth devilish rogue type, and the other just looking like a maniac. Waverley glanced back at Colossus for direction only to see - Why the fuck wasn't he metal?!

She didn't have time to ask, as a bright flash in front of her caught her eyes, causing her to look back at the pillar in front of her, only for her to find that it was falling. The falling of it inspired the falling of Waverley, ungracefully tripping on her rear, covering her face with a hand to protect it from rubble. Luckily for her, the collapsing pillar was far enough away and hit at such an angle that the damage caused didn't stretch out to her. Once she'd realized she was thankfully unscathed, she scrambled forward on her hands and knees, ducking behind the pile of what had minutes before been a pillar and what had seconds ago been the thing Waverley thought would kill her.

Her eyes scanned the area, to see their strategist running at the Destroyer of Pillars, unleashing a flurry of blows on the man. She also saw the gothy teen with what appeared to be a magical sword straight from some sort of anime running at the long-haired young man and Colossus, who, Waverley couldn't help but noticed, was still flesh and blood. And, of course there was Spark Plug, still freaking out on the ground for a reason Waverley assumed was because of their assailants. There was no way Waverley was gonna last a minute out there with just her fists.

So, as any sane person would, she turned her attention back to the rubble pile, and began to dig through it, looking for anything that could be used as a weapon. After a few moments, her hand fell on something metal. She wrapped her fingers around it and gave it a tug, pulling it out enough to figure out what it was: rebar. She gave it a harder tug, pulling it out of the crumbling concrete like some discount Excalibur. It wasn't a magic sword, but it'd have to do. She looked back up at the scene in front of her, eyes darting between her choices, trying to decide what to do.

They finally landed on Magik, making her way towards Colossus and the long-haired guy, with the Spark Plug in pain on her knees not too far away. If she stayed where she was, it didn’t seem unlikely she’d catch some of whatever the magic sword girl was about to do to Colossus. Waverley let out a breath and rested her rebar on her shoulder, before leaping out of hiding and bolting for Spark Plug. The sudden movement caused her to trip over her feet for the first step, but she managed to catch herself. She ran behind Leighton, quickly getting to Spark Plug, and she tucked her head under the woman’s arm, her own arm holding onto the woman’s far shoulder. She let out a grunt as she helped her off the ground, practically dragging her back to her hiding spot behind the rubble. Once there, Waverley placed Spark Plug on the ground leaning against the pile.
