New rules for combat. It's pretty simple. Soul and Stamina levels determine your characters costs and how long they can remain in a fight. Taking damage will often cause stamina loss as well. Once a character is out of stamina they will be knocked down. Once out of soul they cannot cast spells.

Physique: Tall, with a mostly athletic physique. He may appear frail when wearing clothes.

Abilities:

Shadow Puppet: Freyr enters a trance-like state to create two shadow clones of himself. Created by shadow and controlled by his mind, the two clones are able to fight for as long as Freyr remains in this state. If the trance is interrupted in any way, the shadow clones will disappear and Freyr will wake up in a vulnerable dazed state which lasts for about 3 minutes.

Spells:

Black Widow's Weave: Over a long period of time, Freyr charms a target with the aid of this spell. In order for it to work the victim must truly feel an emotional connection to Freyr. This effect is invalid if the person is pretending to feel for Freyr or if another similar spell is being used. An emotional and physical connection is necessary to finish "weaving" the web around the target's mind. As the emotions grow stronger, Freyr's influence over the target's mind will grow opening them to suggestion. Following an intense intimate encounter between Freyr and the target the effect will peak allowing Freyr to completely control the person once the "weave" is complete.

Shadow Step: Upon casting, Freyr gains the ability to mask his presence using the shadows nearby. He becomes undetectable to any individual or trap that is within a 10 feet radius of him. Freyr remains invisible to the naked eye, smell and hearing. Magic designed to detect similar spells can be used to counter Shadow Step.

[u]Blade Dancer:[/b] Freyr's dual wield daggers are consumed by a void of darkness temporarily blinding a target 6 feet in front of him. The attack begins with a specific set of movements performed by Freyr which creates a void that consumed light around the target leaving them in complete darkness. The longer the duration of the dance prior to casting the more targets it can affect, with a limit of 5 within a radius of 10 feet.

Pet: Arachne, an ironically named albino giant snake that accompanies Freyr.

Birthplace: Nero

Experience: As the only descendant of a long bloodline of assassins, Freyr was pressured into the life of killing from an early age. Trained by his both of his parents in the art of assassination, infiltration, deception and combat. From his mother, Freyr learned a more nuanced form of assassination. Using illusion magic, charisma, and sex to lure targets into a fall sense of security before being slained. It was Freyr's mother, who had herself been trained by her grandmother taught her son the unique techniques of the family that focused on slowly softening targets before the kill. These particular skills required patience and exceptional planning in order to be carried out, not to mention a natural charisma that seemed prevalent among the members of the family including Freyr.

On the other hand, his father taught Freyr how to defend himself using blades and martials arts. In contrast to his mother, Freyr's father was an exceptional hand-to-hand combatant and a talented swordsman. Freyr's lithe frame and agile physique allowed him to pick up on techniques that involved small blades such as daggers and knives. His father picked up on his son's physical weakness and worked to hone his strengths. Training his reflexes and agility became priority for Freyr's father. Both of Freyr's parents were extremely demanding during training. Success was rewarded while failure was harshly punished. They believed that this would instill a sense of discipline in their son.

Training sessions did not cease even when Freyr became a young adult. In fact, they intensified. Until their deaths, Freyr's parents continued to teach and push him to his limits, even if it could sometimes kill him. Once Freyr became a full fledged assassin he formed techniques of his own, taking inspiration from his training and his own personal creativity.

personality:
Adventurous and inquisitive, she loves to explore and poke around, sometimes where she may not even belong, curiosity mostly getting the best of her. She craves knowledge and actively seeks out answers to the thoughts that pop up in her head. She is almost always honest, brutally honest even as she doesn't seem to have a filter as she seems to often voice her thoughts directly. This often is never intended to offend, its just her vocalizing her observations. She follows whatever seems to tickle her fancy, which can be problematic when she finds a town because she starts to explore many things, peacefully invading the privacy of others a little too frequently. She doesn't seem to understand why this irritates or scares people. She is surprisingly studious considering her drive to adventure and can frequently found practicing her reading, writing, and sometimes speech if she can find a person to help her, though will only study what interests her and does't do well in a lecture type setting. She wished there were more basiliskin around as there seem to be very few, and the few that she knows don't seem to share her drive for adventure.

Abilities:
-flexible- contortionist level flexibility, high muscle control
-thermal sight - vision has a higher range of sight that can see three dimensional infrared
-venomous fangs - causes drowsiness and blurry vision, and then death within a minute. Can destroy horcruxes.
-forked tongue- used to sense the environment through chemicals and pheromones in the air. Can help to track prey. Unlike regular snakes, she can taste with her tongue.
-sleek scales- tougher than skin, yet unlike dragon scales they are soft, smooth, and sleek. The tight fitting scales keep her from getting dirty and can make her rather slippery.
-unhinged jaw- her jaw is unattached and can stretch to three times its size like she can in her basilisk form. She is not a fan of people knowing this or displaying this feature for
'particular' reasons. plus its just unsightly.
-regeneration - can regenerate from injuries over time
-curse breath - can petrify an enemy into stone temporarily

-a couple pairs of compact clothes easily stored in as little as a pouch or two
- various leather protectors

Background:
Ni'ra was born from a clutch of eggs in the forests close to the border between Vrondi and Nero. As she grew up, she learned the art of the hunt, mostly choosing to do so because it let her explore, and seemed to suit her abilities well. Unfortunately for Ni'ra, she was born as a rare descendant among the basilisk, instantly throwing her to the bottom of their social structure. She was seen as expendable for the natural basilisks and would often not be treated as well as the other, however, Ni'ra tried her best not to let this bring her down, trying her best not to let their snide remarks or their acts of superiority get to her. She was not concerned with them. In fact, she enjoyed being away from the others as it let her explore more. Not that she didn't like being around people, but she was tired of being confined to the same territories her whole life. When she got the chance to take a letter to Nero, she decided it was a perfect opportunity. The guards at the gate never let her through no matter how nicely she asked, so this time, they would have to let her through, right? Little did she know, she was only being sent to play the part of an elaborate and deadly prank.

Experience:
Leanred some hunting methods from other basilisk, as well as by watching other basiliskin. She found the venom shortsword, grappling hook, and calligraphy equipment on a corpse of some poor lost descendant that she figured just wondered into their territory and wasn't careful. The writings and some simple paintings with the brush in the man's notes intrigued Ni'ra, inspiring her to try her hand at it as well, and finding a love for the art. So far, she has only had whatever spare parchment she could find and ink he had on him, she wonders where she will find more. She isn't very practiced with the blade, however, she knows one side is sharp, and one end is pointy, and that there are a number of odd holes at some points in the blade an its spine. Her tongue flicked at it and she sensed some odd chemicals on it, which upon rummaging through the man's gear some more she found a matching bottle. It's chemical signature sent off warning bells in her head. Next time she hunted, she tried t experiment with it, but it seemed to ruin the meat as well, causing a bit of irritation from her hunting partners. Instead, she cleaned it, and tried her own venom on it, which seemed to work the next hunt with great success at petrifying prey without having to directly bite it. All she had to do was douse it with her own venom and then chop or poke her prey with it. It was an amazing tool! As for the grapple hook, it took her a while to think about what it was used for, till she wore it one day and it was getting caught on everything. This led her to try to start hooking objects with it, and then trying to throw it at things to hook and draw them in, to trying to use it to reach things she normally couldn't. This now leads her to get into a lot more places where she probably shouldn't be.

Technically she's a Dragonkin or in this case a Basiliskin.

Group: none
About right.

Appearance:
This is a good image. But a bit of info like her height and weight would be really useful.

Personality:
While I do understand why she's not traditionally educated she would receive knowledge from the Basilisks that's invaluable in many ways. They have lived hundreds of years and she would be surrounded by their kind. She would receive the same education as other upcoming Basilisks. The part about her wondering why other descendants like her don't exist is cute but not likely. She would be taught to hate descendants and see herself as a wild Basilisk. The fact that she's different would be used to make her feel even more of a desire to be accepted as a Basilisk. It is possible she doesn't question it much though and is still overly curious.

Abilities:
If we are going strictly off of what was naturally given to her. Being able to control others through a bite is not something a Basilisk can do naturally. Most of the time it is simple petrification. Undoing the petrification isn't natural either, it would need a cure. Likely using the venom yes, but a concocted potion none the less. Her temporary petrification breathe will be permanent if the victims entire body is covered in the stone. Same goes for her poison bite. She won't be able to turn into a full Basilisk, not without a spell. Also Basilisks usually don't have descendant forms themselves.

Equipment:
Let me guess. She stole these? Or got them from dead wanderers entering too close to the Basilisk home. Also how does she know how to use them? It should tell me this in her experiences.

Background:
It lacks the same information as the "Experience" I requested in making a CS. While it does say briefly her history it doesn't tell me how old she is and what she specifically knows or has done that will be relevant to her current knowledge. She learned how to hunt but from Basilisks she wouldn't be hunting the same way. Likely she would be told to mostly fend for herself at a certain age, then she will have to use what tactics she learned from Basilisks and make it work for her. Expand on this.

For now it's not acceptable. Follow the format I setup on the front page and address the points I made. It's coming though.

Greetings all. I've just now made my return after 5 years and I'm curious to see if I still got it in me to write and roleplay. I'm inspired by the characters I see in this RP thus far, and the story seems intriguing. I also see my old friend here @yoshua171. I hope things have been well with you.

I'm still reading over everything, OOC and IC, and I think I got a character concept in mind. One that would require me to go the Lassa/Dragon route, which is a combination that I see hasn't been taken.

Prime Story Log


Night 1 - Rumors of a large congregation of EVIL worshipping bandits and savages were said to have taken place. All in order to summon their dark lord Nuxta. A Seraphim of death. With his mass of followers, he would bring a new revolution to the world. Or so they believed.

Day 1 - Besides the usual troubles that plague these lands all is well. Travelers go from land to land, discovering new opportunities, friends and enemies alike.

Night 2 - Nuxta attacks. His followers and their promise for revolution have swallowed up many of the bandits who lived across the lands. it was said that they were corrupted by Nuxta's influence. Becoming more savage, mindless, and vile. In so doing so Nuxta also took many of the nomadic tribes and people who lived far out from the Kingdom's capitals. Battles all over ensued. The only capital to remain unscathed was Nero. The hardest hit was Vrondi. Their guardian, an indestructible suit of massive armor was taken by Nuxta. The other kingdoms suffered hits on their farmlands. The hardest hit was in order. Vrondi, Gaia, Fotia, Tearia and lastly unscathed Nero. During the battle in Vrondi, an ancient dragon appeared to fend him off. If not for the force of his power, the Vrondi soldiers and the Aion Vrondi would have been hit even harder. During this battle as well it was revealed that Nuxta had the command of the Basilisk Queen.

Day 2 - Sophia the Dragon of and keeper of knowledge, as well as the guardian of the Grimorium Verum, has awakened to the threat of Nuxta. Under her are monks who not only study under her but nearly worship her vast knowledge. They live within The Temple of Knowledge Seekers, or Mindah Tarvitaan to those who study there. High atop one of Gaia's snowy mountains. She flew with her speed and grace to the gathering taking place at Vrondi's capital. All the royals of every kingdom and their Queens and Kings would gather to discuss the latest attack. Time was of the essence.

Meanwhile in Nero. Despite the King's absence, the royals gathered. Their presence among other royalties was unpleasant. Especially in Nero. Where their seraphim slaves would run the risk of being freed by the Aion who fought so desperately to do so. So within their own halls they drank the blood of seraphim, openly sold slaves, and danced a seductive waltz to the finest music in all the lands. While the other royals in Vrondi shared their art, Nero kept theirs hidden. So it was this debauchery that brought on the Aion. Mirror and his allies all striking at once. Erupting into the banquet of blood and spilling some of their own. Slaying many Nero royals and freeing as many slaves as they could. One Aion defected to the Nero side while a Therosi and a strange traveler joined the Aion fight. In the end the Aion were victorious.

With the successful retrieval of the Seer up in Vrondi's mountains, she was able to reveal to the kingdoms that Nuxta was a seraph from the times of the dragon war over 1000 years ago. Somehow he has amassed power through this time. IT was also revealed that the original seraphim, whose blood is in all descendants, defeated the Dragon God King TevlaNuit with what could be presumed to be a Divine strike.

The kingdoms decided to form an alliance. Taking in volunteers at first they gathered a handful of warriors, healers, and mages. They sent them out to recover an item of great importance to defeat Nuxta. The hammer that was used to forge the indestructible armor he stole from King Vrondi. Out they set on their journey.
Night 3 - The Alliance rested at Pearl. However, during the night Nuxta's influence grew even stronger. A follower of Nuxta attacked the town. Then once dispatched by the alliance a ferocious beast formed from Nuxta's curse fought more of the alliance. They dispatched this creature as well and were finally able to rest this night in peace.

However, meanwhile, in Nero a dark beast awakened beneath their feet. Attacking the Kingdom was an ancient dragon. One who devoured souls and rendered even elite soldiers weak. It was only the King who was able to defeat the Dragon. Not killing it but severely wounding it. The King of Nero has lost his arm in this battle.

Day - 3 The alliance grew with members and made their farthest trek towards the mountains between Gaia and Fotia. On their way, they made contact with a witch. She read their individual futures then they continued on. Running into a massive river they were forced to stop and create a way to pass. However, even worse than the river was a Hydra who was called upon by the forces of the battle atop of one of Gaia's mountains. After repelling the Hydra the first time upon its return the group soundly defeated it for good. The group tirelessly worked to forge a raft to use to cross the waters with items and horses along with them. However, a handful of members of the alliance ended their journey there. The alliance seemed to remain a group of outcasts loosely related to the Kingdoms they hail from.

The soldiers of Gaia and Sophia the Guardian of Knowledge battled Nuxta and his combined forces of Dragons. Revealing he had control of all the Dragon ferals across the lands. Though nearly defeated Nuxta emerged victoriously. Removing Sophia and the Grimorium Verum from this world. Many Dragon and Gaian soldier lives were lost.

Night 4 - Gaian Soldiers recover and news of their battle has reached the world. Nero has undergone operations for war against the Basilisks and their Queen.

Day 4 - The night before was sound after defeating the Hydra and crossing the river. That morning they were visited by two bandits who claimed to want to help them on their journey.
