Remember fallout og? when the game came out 100% complete. No bugs or $DLC, just perfect! Then Fallout 3,4, LV, 76 and honestly I just want a remake of Fallout 1. It my point that a lot of companies now are forced to overlay new graphics on old titles. *cough bli$$.. Squaresoft, ect. Creativity is drying up. The world needs not just dreamers, dreamers with ambition and drive to follow through. We live in an age where technology is outpacing everything! Yet we cant seem to keep up creatively to make an amazing title!!

IMO moders should come together and make their own title! One sci-fi, one fantasy, one ERP for revenue, yea... revenue..

One game I'm really excited about is Genshin Impact. Some of you may have heard of it as the "breath of the wild clone". It is really REALLY similar to botw and that's been a very controversial point from what I have read but...

If I have to wait like 2+ years for botw2 then I need to get my fix. And Genshin Impact looks like it'd be a ton of fun, and can make the wait for botw2 much more bearable.

Or, it may turn out awful. I think the studio working on genshin impact has only done mobile games so... we'll see how it goes.

This Three Houses game is going to end up being the 'Skyfall' of the Fire Emblem series.

Limited amount of classes, awful maps, no beast units, no weapon triangle, laughable difficulty, and a fairly wack story are not erased by the couple of things it does well. But hell hath no scorn like a weeb who's found a waifu with a decent voice actor, so it'll be a couple months before this is acknowledge by the 'community'.

So I did end up getting Sonic Forces anyways, so I made a good call on buying Nier. It's not really that bad as everyone makes it out to be. But it is difficult to get S rank.

But that doesn't matter.

I FINALLY GOT KH3! YEEES!

Finally had a chance to play MW for real (I've played it before, just never had a copy of it until now), and I like it but don't like it at the same time. Maybe I just need to get used to it since MW feels a lot different from WW2, which I've ended up playing a lot of.

Okay, I think I narrowed down my issues with the new MW. It mainly comes down to the maps, honestly. The regular maps are god awful. They're giant and have hundred of ways for people to get shot at, which is horrible when playing against campers. I do love Shoot House, however. It's a perfect mix of both, and the close quarters to medium range combat is more of my style. Shipment is fun, but it feels... smaller? than usual, and I hate how they turned it into a bloody jenga tower. It's already cramped enough, but now I have to look up for morons that think they're sly for climbing on top of crates.

So, finished KH3. Was definetly a wild ride.

The ending attack to the final boss was the first, and probably only thing that successfuly moved me to tears.

Note to self: make pros/cons list.

What games defined your childhood and why? What aspects of them interested you and how have they shaped your taste? And how do they hold up for you?

There are two games that I would say defined my childhood the most, world of warcraft and magic the gathering. I think both had a huge impact in my current love for fantasy and all the possibilities that such worlds can offer, as well as the bringing of mechanical aspects into those worlds. World of Warcraft shaped how I viewed MMORPGs (and still does, as I often find myself disappointed by the differences between wow and other MMOs, as a very casual player) and magic the gathering introduced me to TCGs, one of my most beloved game genres to date. In addition to this, both games served as amazing motivators to learn english and aided me in the endeavor, which really helped me be even a step above my classmates (in this one area).

There were other games I played as a child that I remember- like zoo tycoon - and some even that I still love to play to this day -such as starcraft- but those two were definitely the ones that had the most impact on who I am today.

Even today, magic the gathering remains my favorite TCG and world of warcraft my favorite MMORPG. However, my ability to play either is vastly limited. I simply can't afford to pay wow's subscription and my lack of friends who also play TCG limits to playing MTG arena, which while I think it is very well done isn't friendly to my more casual sort of playing, effectively forcing me into a constant battle with meta regardless of the mode, and I just don't like to have to play games that way.

So, managed to get up to pass the alien ship in Nier and...wow. Just, wow. I played Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, so i'm used to hack and slashers, but this is different, in a good way.

Nines is best boi.

"Pokemon Sword and Shield is getting a $29.99 / £26.99 Expansion Pass (no Australian price available at time of writing) this year, featuring two new adventures - and it'll bring back more than 200 of the past games' Pokemon missing from the new Pokedex."

ign.com/articles/2020/01/09/pokemon-s…

Well, there goes my faith in Gamefreak. Yeah; you can get them from Pokemon Home or trading from people who have the DLC, but it's still paid DLC/expansions to unlock another 200 pokemon. "We can't implement the models" and "we're doing this for balancing" my ass.

Yeah I wasn't thrilled about the dlc either. $30 is so expensive for just additional pokemon and two islands. Sword and Shield were not worth $60, and this dlc isn't worth $30 imo.

But I am super excited for mystery dungeon! However I don't think I'll purchase it unless I know I'm getting a lot of content. I dont just want it to be a remake of the game. For a switch game, I'd expect more. I am hoping though...

Too late I paid for both expansion passes it's me I am the one who doesnt give a shit about Dexit and will inject the Pokemon into my veins I will have a Kubfu and we will be bros and even though I paid 60 bucks because GameFreak/Nintendo is dumb and doesn't offer a double pack for idiots like me who bought both versions I'd still rather them do expansions than do wholeass new games at full price going forward.

You know the best part about Fire Emblem: Three Houses? The fact that you can force characters into classes that they really shouldn't be, there is something stupidly satisfying about forcing ill-suited roles on characters while knowing they'll be worse for it. A lot of other Fire Emblem games the characters are locked into only a few different classes.

Not sure why they had to make so many of the class skills absolutely useless though. Also putting in those skills that artificially put in the weapon triangle in was like...err why? I got this far into the game without needing to exploit that basically missing mechanic, no need to put it back in now!

I like just looking at all the characters in different outfits and try to figure out which looks best on them. Some of the girls look absolutely hilarious in heavy armor, like the small girls having half their face hidden by the metal collar. It is moments like these that you realize their true calling.

I put Dedue on a horse and he looked miserable the whole time so really the game is a huge success 10/10 would humiliate Duscur again.
