Helene had pressed three fingers against her lips at Boris's reaction to her presence, terrible as it may be she found it a bit funny. However, contrary to his thoughts she did not perceive him to be weak because she did not understand his position. Her mother had taught her to gather information before making a final judgement, one of her many life lessons.

Curiously she watched as his eyes scattered across the length of her body, as if to determine if his flight or fight response should kick in. How often she forgot she was not the same as other people no matter how many times she had to remind herself. Her head began to lower preparing to brace for disappointment of driving him away as she awaited his response. Did she get too close before announcing herself? He must think she had been so rude to request his name like that. Her eyes began to sink down towards the sand at her feet before she heard the most amazing word. Helene's chin perked right back up with an almost giddy smile she could not contain. Boris. While she could not pick-out the precise accent, it sounded simply marvelous to her ears having never heard something like it before.

If her heart beat, it would have skipped one or two as he flat out spoke her secret as she blinked twice with a stunned expression. It was not the statement but the bluntness in which it was said and without so much as an ounce of fear. Her mother had always instructed her status as a vampire was one that people either fear or hated. It was clear from his cursing that he was instead regretful. Did this mean that was not a human himself? The closer she looked at him the more she believed so, and the thought only made her more excited. Her mother would often speak of her dream of a world where witches, werewolves, and vampires were not persecuted and humans were not treated as mere objects. That bright optimism was tempered by years of observing, collecting, and processing information. Change happens slowly but sometimes the right step at the right time can make all the difference.

Immediately after his apology, Helene extended her hand down to him "Приятно познакомиться, Борис." translating roughly to Nice to meet you, Boris. Her voice adjusted slightly to meet the phonetics of the language, though her accent still persisted.

Helene didn't even attempt to deny his statement nor did she show any ill-will towards him for knowing. Briefly she flashed her teeth in a smile letting the fangs grow slightly in display before hide them once more behind her full lips "Do not be sorry. It is I who approached you and you were gracious enough to gift me your name." A thinly veiled excitement carried her voice, even if was just one name it was one more than she knew before in this new frontier. It gave her hope that there would others that gave her their name in such a generous way. Without fear. Without hatred. She wasn't looking to give him pity or charity, whether he deserved it or not. No, she was selfishly pushing herself into his life so that she may know someone in this new world of hers.

"If I am a vampire, what does that make you?" She asked coyly while trying to contain her smile.

When your entire life revolves around deception and illusions, you quickly develop a keen eye for anything out of the ordinary. For example, a young man that was perhaps placing eyes where he shouldn't. Either the coffee was reacting poorly with him, or there was something else that made him make a mad dash for the restroom. Whoever it was should have not been so hasty and covered their tracks better as he felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. He could feel the quiet whispers of a spells in the air, of which he determined its nature. How quaint. When the mysterious young warlock emerged from his ivory throne, Lucius burned what physical features he could see into his mind. The last one to have such a spooked reaction to him did not live very long because as is the case with most witches, they can't keep their curiosity to themselves. It would have been child's play to intercept the message right there and then, but his judgement decided against it.

Lucius watched silently as Felix left the witches brew and then returned to his journal, where he quickly finished up the last paragraph he had been writing. Without even a second thought, he rose from his seat and walked casually to the bin where he had watched the man throw away his coffee cup. It sat at the top of the rubbish pile, as he had been the last one to throw something away. His hand reached in and seized the cup in one fluid motion. Once in his hand, he turn the cup over to reveal exactly what he was looking for. Written in black sharpie was the name Felix "So that is your name. Kids these days..." He shook his head and left the coffee shop ignoring whatever strange looks he may have garnered. The opinion of a few meaningless pawns meant nothing to him.

He decided that it was time for him to return to his coven for the time being and simply wait for the opportune time to use the tracking spell. Lucius hoped that this Felix would be running to whomever he sent that message. The best case scenario would be if nothing came of this little incident, though he was at no real loss either way. A warlock test subject would be a great candidate for some for the more offensive and intrusive spells he had been developing. The vampire from the Bathory clan was too fresh and young to survive. It was a real pity nothing could be learned from her feeble body. If nothing else, Rachel might have the information he needed though he had yet to dig his roots in yet. A wicked smirk spread across his face.

"It's going to be a cold winter."

Being told that this is the most fun place in town, Kade was not impressed. "Well I guess I better start making friends in here then, huh?" he teased. How was he supposed to do that exactly? He couldn't really see anyone, not really see them. They all just look like a bunch of stock-photo models.

Kade chuckled when she warned him about messing with his bracelet "lied about my age?" he said, amused "looking at me, would he really think that?". He chuckled again, massaging the space in between his eyebrows. "Yeah well, don't worry, this thing ain't coming off while I'm in here." he joked waving his hand to gesture at the bracelet.

He watched the bartender as she attended another costumer, who yet again, looked absolutely ordinary. Kade just sighed. It's fine, he's not here to hunt anyway, he really is here to make friends, get information on this town, and get to know its damage.

He turned around to have a look. Viktor, huh? he thought to himself. Is he responsible for these bracelets? so does that make him a warlock? He glanced back at the bartender for a moment, and wondered, is she a witch? He then found himself rather enjoying this. It was like playing clue. He couldn't see anyone for who they really are, but maybe he can easily figure it out if they spoke to him. Connecting the dots and crossing possibilities out based on the things they tell him. He caught Viktor's eyes and gave him a 'there's nothing suspicious going on here' type of smile and then turned back around.

He looked over at the bartender, raised his glass and winked before heading toward a random crowd. For the next few hours, Kade had spoken to so many individuals within the bar. An unstoppable conversationalist that attracted the attention of others, laughter and chatter echoed, with him right at the center of the crowd. People enjoyed listening to his stories and in return, shared information about the town with him.

By the time that it was night, Kade believed he was able to profile at least 3 witches, 3 vampires, and 2 werewolves. Although he didn't have any solid proof, and he was most likely wrong, he felt pretty confident in his conclusion, feeding into his ego.

"There really isn't anything to do here other than get drunk." said a stranger in a small booth at the corner of the bar. He was wearing a white t-shirt, jeans, black sneakers. Again, nothing out of the ordinary. "But that's just me." he chuckled. "We do have a bowling alley, the beach, the camping grounds by lover's lake, although I wouldn't go there." he said, slurring every second word. He was quite intoxicated.

"Why not?" asked Kade. The stranger just shrugged "Iontknow." he slurred it all into one word. "Probably because of all the disappearances and animal attacks." "what disappearances and animal attacks?" Kade quickly inquired, but the stranger just shrugged again. His eyelids were nearly shut, and his head kept tilting sideways as he was dozing off. Kade snapped his fingers at his face, but the man did not respond.

"Yeah." Kade sighed "He's done."

Kade's facial expression was clearly not impressed. He leaned back, pulled out his phone and looked at his messages. He looked at his outgoing message that read: "Hey it's Kade Wilson. Could someone meet me and brief me on what my role is?" but there was no response. Annoyed he decided to send another "Seriously? its been two days!" He stared at his phone for a minute or two, almost as if he tried to telepathically force a reply to come out of it. But, of course, nothing happened. He rolled his eyes and looked at the time.

"It's still early, but I guess I should go to sleep and check the camping grounds tomorrow morning, right?" he said quietly while looking at his phone, again, staring at it as if expecting a response.

Kade stumbled out of the booth, clearly a little drunk, and made his way to the bar so that he could pay his bill.

"You speak Russian?" he asked in Russian, his tone completely changed now that he spoke a language he was fluent in. He had a confused expression on as her accent did not sound Russian at all. He sprung to his feet to stand in-front of her, accidentally towering over her forgetting just how tall he is. Usually that would make him feel bad, always so conscious of how big and threatening he could look to people. A self deprecating part of himself wanted to tell her that she should be afraid of him, that he has done horrible things that should not be forgiven, but, she made it pretty clear that she was not afraid of him. After all, why should she be? she's a vampire.

He heard only horrible things about these creatures. She's the first one he's ever interacted with, and she's nothing like what has been described to him by his new pack. What he heard of vampires is that they have sharp fangs, great cavernous eyes, long tough nails, they're devoid of emotion, they're pitiless, and have mirthless humor and cruel wit. But she was friendly, and sweet, and gentle.

The smell of blood on her is not strong, which was why he could not notice her coming close to him. But that faint smell of blood, was the only smell coming off of her, he could not smell the smell of humans on her the way he expected to smell off of a vampires. So does this mean she doesn't drink it from them directly? this was all very confusing and has really warped his perception of vampires.

Still speaking in russian, he said: "I'm a wolf." and pointed at his nose "I can smell the blood you drink, so I knew."

He then gave her a smile, still with downcast eyes, but a smile nonetheless. He's been pleading for something to get his mind off of things, and the curiosity that her presence spiked in him did it. He brushed his hand on his shorts so to brush the sand off and extended him arm out. "It's nice to meet you too."

It was strange to him how he recognizes that his behavior changes when the past does not weigh on him. He moved his gaze back to the sunset and spoke, back to English "I sh..should go." he turned his gaze back to her. He did not deserve her kindness, even if she was a vampire. He began walking away toward to the grass before stopping, letting out a sigh, and turning around to look at her once again.

"I c..c..come watch the s..s.." he began stuttering, struggling to say the word. He just shook his head, took a deep breath and started over. "The s..sunset tomorrow too." he seemed to be relieved for having been able to break through his speech disorder, almost forgetting what he was trying to say. He looked at her blankly for a moment, nervously lifting his shirt up to itch his stomach, he finally asked. "If you want to c..come." Oh, Liam would be disappointed. he thought.

It was times like these where Damien missed his magic. Mindreading made for a good conversation booster. He knew the truth of what others thought rather than what they said. Knowing the raw ideas and feelings he heard from deep within a person was well worth the splitting headache it caused afterward.

Despite his earlier display of uneasiness, Damien kept his eyes on hers. An actual open job position in the hospital was something he was gambling with, so it was nice to know that panned out. However, Nathalie was who he'd really need. Being easy on the eyes was also a plus.

"I'll honestly take anything right now. Abercrombie & Fitch said I was too edgy looking and Spencers said I wasn't edgy enough, so I guess being an admin guy at the hospital is going to have to work for now." Damien smiled as he tried to keep the mood light. He then nodded to the new space in line behind her. He had noticed her eyes on his bouquet of flowers and figured he should address it. "The flowers are for an old friend by the way. We left off on a bad note, and I guess this a sorry slash reunion gift… a peace offering would be the best word for it." Damien's smile weakened. It was obvious this was somewhat of a sore subject for him. "Anyway, thanks for offering to help me go through the process at the hospital. Being the new guy in a small town isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Let me buy your lunch to call it even."

As the clock hit 21:00 a lot of people had gone home or just fallen asleep on the tables. Viktor never liked when people passed out on the table as there was a chance that the bar might attract pickpocketers because of the older patrons and the chill environment where anyone can sit down with anyone and have a chat without it being suspicious. "Hey my friend." Viktor said poking at an older gentleman who had fallen asleep with a glass in his hand. "Hey, you need to wake up buddy. I'll walk you to the door and call a cab for you, you shouldn't walk home at this hour in this state." He said as the man started to wake from his slumber. Viktor helped him up and told Rose at the bar to call a cab for him as he walked the man to the door. When he entered he could see that the larger group who had still been active into this hour on a workday had started splitting up and paying for their drinks. He saw a guy who he had recognised for his over the top hunter feel but had never seen before in the town begin to walk towards the bar. "Hey! How are you doing my friend? I haven't seen you in this town before. What's your name?" Viktor said in a chatty and upbeat tone as he intercepted him on the way towards the counter. "Hey Rose. I'll pay for this guys tab as he is new to the town we should give him a warm welcome. You know to show him how we treat each other in this town and specifically in our fine establishment." Viktor said most of that in the same upbeat tone as before but the last sentence he made eye contact with Kade and had a stern look on his face as the tone changed from upbeat to serious and warning. He had seen the hunter eyeing a lot of people in the bar
and trying to give leading questions to the drunk supernaturals. This wasn't someone he wanted snooping around and he wanted him to know that he had his eyes on him. But then again he thought to himself, He might just have been afraid that a supernatural had found him out and he tried to make sure he knew who he had to watch out for in the future. "Trust me when I say this, we have had gang wars and looters in this town but not once in 3 generations have someone gotten hurt in our establishment, whatever race, background or skin colour they have. And I'm not looking to change that anytime soon." He said before giving him a pat on the back "I'm telling you this because you looked a little worried at times tonight If you ever feel threatened please tell me and ill deal with it ok?" Viktor said changing back to his upbeat tone once again to diffuse the tension.

Nathalie chuckled once Damien mentioned his retail store troubles, albeit a little too loudly to the point where it drew the attention of the those individuals standing within earshot. She cleared her throat to contain herself, allowing him to continue to speak, even as he went on to address the bouquet of flowers. So he'd noticed she had noticed as well, but she couldn't do much except offer some words of encouragement. He was visibly upset for a moment, and Nathalie couldn't help but feel empathetic for his situation.

"For what it's worth, the flowers are beautiful so I'm sure your friend will at least appreciate the gesture. I purchased a bouquet for myself a couple of days ago, and they really do help brighten up my apartment."

Coincidentally, just as Nathalie was reaching for her wallet, Damien posed his question. She considered her options momentarily, but in the end she knew she couldn't stick around.

"I would take you up on that offer, but I'm not even supposed to be here to be honest. Unless you don't mind taking the food back to the hospital and eating in the cafeteria. I could find you an application form so your trip is not wasted... It's up to you."

Interractions: The Twins - @Katthaj , Kaden - @Kkushmar , Rose - @Tae

Kyran could feel the crisp air against his skin as he slowly made his way down to Alexie's. He had received a text from the twins telling him to come in as a backup bartender in case it got busy- which usually did. He didn't mind the work at all, Kyran actually enjoyed it. He got to talk to people from all backgrounds while at the bar. Vampires, werewolves, and oblivious humans alike- but the main attraction was always people like him. Those gifted with magic. Those that Kyran always saught to study and observe, however, was possible.

There had been a few new arrivals over the past six months. Kyran hadn't gotten the time to study these people as of yet, but there were quite a few that he had deemed interesting. There were two- both warlocks like himself. One had dropped by the bar a few times, dark hair and tall. The other was older, with gray hair and a full beard. There were others too, non-magic users that had spiked Kyran's curiosity.

Ember Grove had proven to be a lot more interesting than he had first expected. Kyran was pleasantly surprised by this since he had never expected such a small town to have the number of supernatural residents on it. Not only that, but he still had so much to explore and see! He had made a list of all the things he would love to experience before moving out to the next city- of course, one of the many things of his list was to sleep with a vampire or werewolf. Kyran was curious about it, far more than he should be really. He was still a young warlock- compared to many others- and he was simply curious. And he would love to brag about it to a few friends back home.

By the time Kyran pushed past the front door and into the bar he noticed the regular lot in there. The usual werewolves trying to flirt, the lonely vampire or two then his eyes landed on a new face. Naturally, Kyran's interest sparked up as he approached the bar. He waved at Viktor and Katya, then at Rose, charming smile in place.

"Heyo! New guy!" Kyran came up to the bar, grinning at the guy who Viktor just had talked to. "Nice to see someone new, other than the usual drunks over there." He rolled his eyes and pointed at the group, one of them giving Kyran the bird. "Love you too, babe!" He called back with a laugh.

Hey leaving the bakery now. Meet you at the trailhead :smile

Mr. Kitty was very grateful for the premium cat-food Cyrus was able to provide him with. Cyrus was watching him eagerly eat it from his spot on the couch. He had been teaching his cat tricks today, or at least trying to. He had been looking up jobs. He was seriously considering asking Sorrel if she needed help at the bakery since they'd get to hang out more. Sorrel and him had gotten to be close friends after she ran his father out. She was always bringing him food and checking on her. He wanted to start holding up his end and doing some things for her. Nice people were hard to come by werewolf or not and she deserved kindness more than anyone.

Cyrus was not nice to just any person. He was not much of a people person at all. There was no reason to trust people since they were usually shit. He had just been in a fight last week after someone said something rude about Sorrel and he had gone and punched the guy, easily breaking his nose. Cyrus was always getting agitated.

He had been lounging on the couch in jeans and a t-shirt, hair tousled as his ring-tone went off. His eyes left the sight of his cat eating and he picked up his phone and read Sorrel's text. Her wish was his command! He hopped to his feet and patted Mr.Kitty's fluffy head. He made his way down the stairs and to his car. Soon, he was parking in the parking lot and jogging over to Sorrel.

Cyrus nodded to her with a smile, "Hey. How was your day?" He asked. "Are you ready?"

Time:Approximately an hour after dusk fell
Location: The Pit
Interactions:None
Ambience:Song playing at club

The music was so loud at The Pit that the floor beneath the crowd seemed to vibrate with the bass. The muffled sound of it could be heard from outside as people lined up at the door to show ID or negotiate entry with a rather enormous bodyguard. Back inside, strobe lights of varying colors moved over the darkened room, illuminating the masses of drunk college kids. Some being overly affectionate with strangers, others just in their own little world.

Angel was never a fan of having so many sweaty people on top of her, so she'd stick to the back of the crowd with the stoners. She could make out the smoke twisting around the area through the air, illuminated only by the lights that would speed over different sections of the club. It smelled like every substance under the sun was being used in just the five-foot radius around her.

Sometimes she wanted to scream at them all. How could they just let themselves be so vulnerable? Vampires always circled this floor like vultures unbeknownst to them all. She knew this for a fact, yet she could say nothing, one of the many policies of Operation Humanity she disagreed with.

Angel had been leaning up against the wall for some time now, hoping to catch a glimpse of something to no avail. Unfortunately, it was not going to be so easy. She pushed off the wall, pulling her hair out of its braid with a tight pull and shaking it out. Angel adjusted her top a bit before applying a layer of lipstick to her lips. She had come prepared otherwise, her eye make-up well done and her outfit a little sexier than her usual preference. She moved into the crowd and easily blended in by moving to the music. There was no awkward transition; she got right into it, moving to the music surprisingly well.

It was freeing to just shut her eyes and feel the rhythmic bass underneath her feet, focusing on the music. She knew it’d seem silly to most, but she cherished these moments where she could let loose. It would not be long before her phone would start blowing up from higher-ups at Operation Humanity asking where she was and why she was at this “dirty club” again alone. They had a tracker in her, after-all. They treated her and another Hunter named Nikolai way different, since they were their personal little science projects. Angel had no idea how much Nikolai knew, but she did not know much at all herself; he was not an easy guy to talk to. All she knew was that they did something to her and whatever they did, worked. Since it worked, they really did not want her to die. Angel, being the difficult girl she was, went off alone and immersed herself in dangerous situations anyway.

Hands were soon on her waist, moving up the sides of her body. She could feel breath on her neck. It had not taken long for one to take the bait after-all. With a drunk-girl-giggle, she tilted her head back to look at her admirer. He was quite handsome so she could not complain. She twisted her body to face him, tracing her fingers under his chin, her eyes traveling up to look at his. It was hard to tell for a moment, but once the light moved over his face, the red tint became prominent.“Aren’t you bold?”

“And aren’t you beautiful?” He practically purred in her ear. He had a smoky, velvet voice. “What’s a ruby like you doing all alone in a place like this?” She wondered how many other victims he had said the same thing to. This would surely be the last time. He had clearly been watching her for some time for him to figure out she was alone without informing him. Her friends could have been in the bathroom for all he knew.

“Waiting for a handsome miner to come dig me out.” Angel replied coquettishly, letting her voice slur in parts of her speech.

It was not long after some dancing and flirting that they were kissing and moving towards the back of the room. It was going according to plan as usual, but she needed to make sure he went through the side door to the alley. Angel broke away and took his hand, giving him a coy smile as she led him to the door and outside. He shoved her up against the wall, gripping her roughly and his kissing more passionate. She could tell his hunger was translating into his actions. Angel peeked at him to see one of his eyes was also open, glancing in the direction towards the street. It was silent besides the muffled music inside. There was no one walking by and no cars passing on the road. It was eerie thinking that if she was anyone else, they’d be unknowingly about to die in this moment.

His lips were moving down her face to her neck now, a low chuckle escaping his lips. She had to act now. She reached over to the nearby dumpster, grasping the handle of her hidden blade and using the strength holding her against the wall against him in order to pull the blade down into his shoulder and downward faster than he would have ever expected. With a wail of agony, he moved away from her in shock as she pulled it out. The blade’s blue light shone in the dark alley as Angel moved off the wall, picking up a second blade from the ground. She held them out at both her sides with a playful grin.

Most hunters went for guns and far-ranged weapons. It was far less risky since vampire’s strength and speed were far too superior to try to take on in a close-range battle. However, Angel’s speed could almost match his, so the blades worked well for her. She also enjoyed the directness of the kill. The vampires winced, moving backward. These blades were not coated in anything right now, so he’d unfortunately heal, but it’d be slow. The whole sultry demeanor he had going on had been completely replaced by malicious fury.

“You stupid little girl. You have no idea what you’re messing with.” He snarled and ran at her immediately. She moved hastily out of the way, sliding behind him. Angel knew it was imperative he did not let her grab her. His strength would be the death of her. She swiftly moved her blade to attack him again, but he barely managed to move out the way. The male vampire retreated, putting some space between them as he stared at her with genuine confusion and maybe a little bit of fear.

Angel straightened, ready to attack again if he pursued it. She did not want to kill him this time.

“You’re… You’re not a human.” He tilted his head, starting to circle her,” What are you? You don’t smell like a werewolf. Are you a witch?”

She grinned ominously at him, not giving him an answer, “Ooo… Spooky, huh?”

The vampire glared at her with annoyance. She could tell he was hesitating to attack. He was unsure what he was dealing with, perhaps he was young.

“You’re not the only predator tonight.” Angel told him, her grin fading and her voice growing an iciness,” You’re done preying on humans here. I don’t want to see you here ever again or I will fucking torture you to death.” She hated to let him live, but it was necessary. The hunters refused to tell her where Viet Et Mort was located, probably to stop her from trying anything stupid, so she had to figure it out herself. Though, it was a stretch he’d be from that clan. It was possible this would be trial and error.

Just as she suspected, he turned and made a run for it. She knew she was lucky he was not aware of her already, and that he was weak and young. Angel had started to make a reputation for herself among hunters and vampires alike. Many had started to recognize her as one of the hunters’ lab rats who escaped Desiree, who could run as fast as a vampire, and had hair the color of blood with no dye-job necessary.

She only waited a moment before she started to follow the vampire, keeping to the alleys and shadows as she ran in the direction he had retreated.

Closer and closer I get to having your cold, dead heart in my hand, Desiree.

"Yes." She said simply while nodding with glee as his response, a noticeable turn from his mood just moments before. Helene's expression of happiness did not change as she stood firmly in place as Boris got up, not a single flinch in her muscles as she stared up at the much larger figure. Russian was not her native tongue but it was of the several she could speak quite well, even if some slang completely slipped past her. This was going much better than she had expected and never once did it cross her mind what evil things Boris might have done in the past. She was far too concerned with the present and the future.

The curves of her smile did not falter for a second as Boris revealed himself as a werewolf and she laughed a little as he pointed at his nose "That is indeed a powerful tool you have." She said continuing to speak in Russian.

He then gave her a sight she would treasure. A smile directed at her. It was almost enough to warm the coldness of her un-beating heart. When he at last extended his hand, she took in a firm, but gentle handshake and marveled slightly at the difference between her soft, unblemished skin and the tough, rugged shape of his. It was almost as if his hands could tell their own story of hardship.

Distracted by this little detail, she almost did not hear his next words "Oh?" The cheer in her voice dropped noticeably as it reverted back to English as well, she had wanted to chat for longer. Unwilling to let Boris be bothered her small sadness, she looked on the bright side. She had met a person kind enough to giver her a name and a smile "I am glad I we met, Boris. I think I will stay here just a bit longer." It may have been silly, but simply saying his name was enough to spark her with joy.

Her full body turned towards the last, fading lights of the sunset listening to the quiet steps of Boris's large frame in the sand and eventually the grass. Already she had come to terms with the reality that this may be their first and only meeting. Helene gaze slowly began to sink from the sunset in the deep, endless ocean as the tops of her eyelids lowered in somber thoughts. The sound of Boris's voice was sweeter than any symphony as he invited her to return here once more. Turning her right shoulder to look back at him, with a bright eyes and a cheery smile "I would like that very much. I shall see you tomorrow then?" She asked the question in a way that he didn't need to respond with an actual answer.

When Boris had left and she believed herself alone, Helene inhaled deeply and closed her eyes. With only the sounds of the crashing waves to accompany her, she let herself relax before the time came to abandon this spot for now.

"A glass of red, if you please, Rose. You can pick, wine was never one of my strong suits." Rachel made it a point to never even sip at the restaurant- drunken clumsiness was an easy way for a chef to make a mistake, and with no functional liver, she got drunk very quickly. Still, here, around people she mostly knew and trusted, she felt she could let her self-control lapse a little bit.

As Rachel waited for Rose to get her her drink, she heard someone getting chastised about, well, she wasn't quite sure, but it sounded violent. Good, good. We need to keep all this shit to a minimum. "Listen. I don't know if it is my place to say this, but Ember Grove- we don't like trouble. And if you're going to start something, beware; there's more than a few people capable of finishing it for you." Her warning delivered, Rachel turned her attention back to the bar.

Sorrel hadn't had to wait too long before Cyrus got there. She'd spent the time waiting exploring social media which was still something interesting to her. There had been so many technological advancements since she was born and it was amazing. She wished her grandmother were still around to see it all. She would have loved it, having always been the one to push her old coven into discovering things. The thought of her grandmother always brought her a twinge of sadness, but she tried to block it out. There was no point in getting sad tonight.

She looked up when Cyrus pulled up and grinned at him. "Hey!" She said in greeting as she waved to him before throwing her phone into her backpack. "It was a good day, but it was much busier than I had expected. I may need to find some extra help here soon." She said with a grin as she linked her arm around his before heading towards the trail.

"I brought a backpack in case we wanted to put our belongings in it before the run." She told him, trying to find the best way to say such a thing. She didn't want to say to put their clothes in as that sounded a bit awkward. While Sorrel didn't care who saw her in her natural state, she knew it made some people feel uncomfortable and she didn't wanna make Cyrus uncomfortable in any way. "We can leave it near a tree and-" She was cut off by the sound of a desperate howl.

She froze in place for a minute as she tried to locate the direction the sound came from. She then turned to look at Cyrus, alarm and concern present in her eyes. "That sounded like someone in trouble. I don't know about you, but I feel like I need to help if I can." She explained as she slipped her arm from his, knowing she needed to be swift. She kicked her shoes off and then her pants and shirt quickly followed as she shoved things in the backpack. Soon enough she had tossed the backpack aside and transformed into her werewolf form. She began sniffing and running towards the cry for help, glancing back briefly to see if Cyrus was following.

It wasn't long before she picked up the scent of another werewolf as well along with blood and vampires. She came across the sight of one werewolf nudging another unconscious werewolf and Sorrel was immediately alarmed. She eyed them for a second before rationalizing that the bigger threat was the vampires. She looked to the forest briefly before turning back to the male werewolf. "We're here to help. Those vampires will be upon us soon and I fear it may be a bit of a fight. I can circle around and flank them if we think that would be best?" She explained to him, knowing they needed to decide quickly on what to do.

Finn

Location: Alexie’s
Time: Dusk
Interacting with: @Tae Rose Leblanc, @Kkushmar Kade Wilson

From behind the wheel Finn watched how the sun was slowly setting in the distance. The young werewolf had been driving for at least 14 hours. Or was it more, Finn couldn’t really remember. It didn’t really matter because his destination should be less then an hour away now. All that mattered to him was that he would get as quickly to Ember Grove as possible. Finn pushed on the gas some more driving down the mostly empty highway. Hoping that he would not run into some country side cop eager for some writing out speeding ticket action.

Most people would consider it crazy and irresponsible to drive all the way from New York City to some little town in South Carolina in pretty much one go but for Finn it was about live and death. The live and possible death of his elder brother Mike to be more precise. Finn’s brother meant everything to him and not being able to contact him worried Finn to the point that he had given up on his pack, his training schedule and his parents wishes. Mike had always been looking out for the younger brother and now it was his turn.

Finn’s tired eyes scanned the road ahead for the next sign. His cellphone had given up a long time ago and the young man had to navigate himself. Luckily the exit to Ember Grove was there and Finn founded himself driving down Clover Street. He desperately tried to remember which way it was to the university’s campus but his brain was already shutting down from the long drive. At the first intersection Finn steered his car left but soon noticed the sea and realized he must have taken a wrong turn. ”Damnit! Where is that stupid campus.” Said Finn angerly as he punched the ceiling of his car out of frustration.

The young wolf wanted to continue his search but was stopped by the growling of his stomach. He quickly parked his car on the one remaining free stop near some bar and put on his hoodie. He walked down towards the entrance and noticed the name Alexie’s’. ”I guess this is where those college kids hang around. I hope they serve meat” Murmured Finn as he opened the door and walked inside. He paused a bit at the door and scanned around just to see if his brother was here. But the wolf recognized no faces. Everyone was a stranger.
Finn walked towards the bar while he take off his jacket. Revealing his T-shirt with his gym’s logo (Wolfe Gym. N.Y.C) on it. Tired from the long drive he positioned himself next to some black haired man who was clearly a little bit drunk and look liked he wanted to pay his tab. Finn gave this man a friendly smile before waving to the pink haired lady behind the bar ”Hi, can I order food here? Pretty much anything will do. I’m starving. And a coke please ” Said Finn with a friendly yet tired face.

Liam was already in a heightened state from the scent of vampires in the air, and poised for attack as he heard the sounds of others approaching. Instead of murderous vampires however he saw two other werewolves, one with the red eyes of alpha. The odds of protecting the unconscious wolf certainly got a lot better, and he was relieved to find an alpha in Ember Grove, he was beginning to wonder if the wolves here had any sort of leadership. Another alpha was someone he could work with and someone who would know what the biggest threats of this town were. As the alpha of a pack that roamed, he liked setting up alliances with the alpha of whoever’s territory they were in, and with that came the need to ensure the other alpha would not see him as a threat to their leadership or territory.

Sounds like a good plan. I’m happy to follow your lead. He said, his posture relaxing some now that he knew he was in the presence of other wolves. He stood and bowed his head slightly showing the due respect to the other alpha and to the other the wolf who followed her.

Rest easy little wolf, you’re safe now. Liam spoke to the unconscious wolf, unsure if she could hear him or not but feeling the need to so none the less. He turned his attention back to the alpha and the other wolf. The threat still needed dealt with, no doubt three able bodied wolves could handle a few vampires, and he was eager for a good brawl.

You go left, I’ll go right, we’ll slaughter these leeches in the middle? He offered enthusiastically with an attempt at a grin that only served to show off his teeth. He sniffed the air for the scent of the enemy, their scent was stronger now; they were near. He was counting on the fact that these vampires were likely looking for one injured wolf and would not be counting on three more. An ambush to take them out quick and then they could focus on helping the injured friend.

Nathalie Prescott & Damien Crawford

Time: Dusk
Location: Ember Grove Mall to the hospital
Interaction with: Damien @FunnyGuy

Damien smiled at the compliment Nathalie had given him on the flowers. He hoped Rose would accept them as she definitely deserved them. Just like Nathalie deserved to be treated for lunch today. He pulled out his wallet as if to answer her question.

"That's what I actually hoping for. This meeting at the mall could be our little secret I guess." Damien joked.

"Don't worry, it'll be-"

She was cut off by the woman behind the counter calling out the next person. Nathalie took a step forward, looking at the menu for a quick second as she had been distracted prior to that.

"May I have the teriyaki chicken with a side of fried rice and veggies please? That'll be all." Nathalie then sidestepped out of Damien's way, allowing him to place his order.

He took a step forward, with his eyes scanning over the menu.

"Pepper steak with just a side of fried rice. And I'll be paying for the both of us… To-go." Damien made sure to mention. "I'm guessing you were going to say it will be… our little secret in agreement?" Damien smirked.

"Yeah, something along those lines. Thanks for paying by the way, the next one is on me." In a way, Nathalie felt a bit guilty given that he was currently unemployed and she made six figures. But some men were chivalrous regardless of their financial status, something she admired.

"Don't worry. I'd say we're even." Damien smiled to ensure that he was perfectly fine with paying. "And there will definitely be a next one though." Once the food was paid for and received, Damien made a nod for the nearest mall exit that would get the two to the hospital. "So have you always lived here in Ember Grove? I might need someone to show me the sights around here."

They received the food, and Nathalie briskly made her way towards the exit, glad she hadn't taken too long at the mall. "I haven't been here too long, not even a full year. My ex-fiancé moved us here and that caused some problems for us. Now I'm pretty much alone here but eventually, I'll move back to Chicago. But what about you, what's your story?"

"My story? Well to keep it short. I left home trying to find a nice place to plant my feet. I've been all over the country taking odd jobs here and there on the way… then a close friend recommended Ember Grove for a few reasons. It was small, quiet, and would give me a chance to apologize to an old friend." Damien motioned the bouquet upwards to bring attention to it. "I'm sorry by the way… And you don't have to be alone. After our meal, you can count me as a friend… maybe an associate if we want to be realistic." Damien said as the two reached the automatic sliding doors of the hospital.

"The thought is very much appreciated, thank you. I know a couple of people here but that's about it. I can't do much about that given my unpredictable schedule, you know."

As Nathalie talked, she led him down the hall to the cafeteria. She was glad she wasn't needed since she stepped out, otherwise she would have had to explain herself. "Alright, the cafeteria is right through those doors. Why don't you get us a table and I'll go grab you an application. It won't take me longer than a couple of minutes."

"Sure." Damien replied before making his way into the cafeteria. He was surprised at how well kept the facility was. He assumed since it was established in a small town, the hospital would be underfunded. Holding their lunch, Damien took a seat at the third table from the doors and sat facing the very same doors. He placed the plastic bag with their food on the table and took a moment to take out their meals. So far so good. I have a chance working close to the busiest area of the city. Close to the church, the mall, and Alexei's… and then I'll have her. Nathalie. Someone who I can actually be seen interacting with without raising suspicion. She's only been here about a year, but she can still be a good source for info on the local area.

Stumbling toward the bar to pay his tab, Kade raised his glass to drink up the little bit of whiskey left in it. “Hey!” a sudden voice spoke as a man intercepted Kade on the way to the bar, taking Kade completely by surprise causing him to choke on his drink. “How are you doing my friend?” he continued, but Kade had one hand on his chest and another covering his mouth as he violently coughed. ‘Obviously could be doing better’ He thought to himself.

Finally clearing his throat, Kade looked up to see it was Viktor, the man he was told of earlier. Realizing Viktor was far taller than him, Kade straightened his posture, believing that what he’s doing is asserting dominance, but in reality failing by letting out a sudden hiccup.

“I’m peachy.” Kade spoke with his voice still recovering from a cough. He pressed his eyebrows down, turning his gaze to the glass in his hand. ‘Damn, I’ve only had a few, why am I already so drunk?’ The thought going through Kade’s head as he studied the drink, ‘I must’ve lost track’.

“I haven't seen you in this town before.” Said Viktor in an upbeat tone, completely ignoring Kade’s drunk behavior. “What's your name?” he asked. Kade looked back at him and tilted his head, 'My name? shit, what is it again?' He thought as he stared at Viktor blankly. “Oh right, it’s deeee…” Kade continued sounding the beginning of the name he could not remember - the name he gave the bartender. ‘You gotta stay consistent’ he thought.

For a moment, Viktor looked at him blankly too, before his facial expression changed to that of understating. Viktor was obviously used to speaking to drunks, so he just turned his head to the bar and spoke: “Hey Rose. I'll pay for this guys tab as he is new to the town, and we should give him a warm welcome.” He said that in the same upbeat tone he had the entire time, before looking back at Kade to make eye contact, and with a stern look on his face, his tone changing to sound more serious, he spoke again: “You know, to show him how we treat each other in this town, and specifically in our fine establishment.” He watched Kade’s face, looking in his eyes for him to show that he understands what Viktor meant.

“Dylan! My name is Dylan!” Kade announced, elated and clearly proud of himself for remembering. For an awkward moment that felt very long and painful, Kade, Viktor, Rose, and a stranger she was talking to were all silent. Kade’s response clearly threw everyone out of a loop. Fortunately for Kade, a hiccup emerged to break the silence.

Kade was acting drunk, he felt it too, but he wasn’t drunk enough for his calculative mind to stop working. Although to Viktor he looks like he had stopped paying attention, Kade had been paying attention to every detail since he had entered the bar. It was clear that Viktor and the rest of his staff were all aware of whatever enchantment was on his wristband. And it was clear that this bar, especially by Viktor’s words, is meant to be a neutral zone among all species. Kade had no interest in messing with that. If anything, he just felt more comfortable being there knowing that his identity is hidden too. So, Kade smiled at him, and nodded in agreement as he turned to the bar to pay his bill.

"Oh, right" he said leaning against the bar, realizing his drinks are already paid for tonight. Another one of the staff hurried to the back of the bar, looking as if he had just gotten there. "Heyo! New guy!" the staff member grinned as he noticed Kade. "Nice to see someone new, other than the usual drunks over there." Kade raised his eyebrow, as he felt popular suddenly, usually having to approach people on his own, no one ever coming up to him the same way. And now the staff in this bar seem to be completely interested in him. “Yeah well, you’re going to see more of me here.” He nodded to himself before continuing. “The whiskey is good.”

Before saying anything else, Viktor approached the bar as well, close enough to Kade so that only he could hear. “Trust me when I say this” continuing their conversation as if it was never interrupted, “we have had gang wars and looters in this town but not once in 3 generations have someone gotten hurt in our establishment, whatever race, background or skin colour they have.” He said before turning his head to look at Kade once again, “And I'm not looking to change that anytime soon.” “Neither am I.” Kade responded quickly. Viktor looked at him for a moment, and then gave Kade a pat on the back. "I'm telling you this because you looked a little worried at times tonight. If you ever feel threatened, please tell me and ill deal with it, ok?" said Viktor, back to his upbeat tone. Kade responded with another hiccup. 'Oh, I don’t feel so good.' He thought as nausea peeked its head in the back of his throat.

“Listen.” Another voice spoke. It was the women Rose had been speaking to. 'OH WHAT NOW' Kade thought as his face turned a strange shade of something. “I don't know if it is my place to say this, but Ember Grove- we don't like trouble. And if you're going to start something, beware; there's more than a few people capable of finishing it for you." She warned him.

Kade had not realized just how much he had to drink that night, as conversations carried on with the visitors of the bar, he had been drinking drinks that are his but also that belong to others. With the women’s unwarranted warning he felt his stomach turn.

He signed a O.K. with his right hand with a somewhat patronizing expression toward the women as he ran out of the bar. The nausea clawed at his throat, and he tried to force down the bile, but it was too late. His hands against the wall of the side of the building, chunks of partially digested steak and red liquids spewed out of his coughing, choking mouth.

He leaned against a nearby tree as he sunk to the ground. Taking deep breathes and rubbing his eyes. “What the hell was that.” He said quietly as he ripped the wristband off his wrist, confirming his earlier theory. He hasn’t needed to throw up like that since he was 16 years old. The people inside didn’t really make him feel nervous, not many people do, and mixing drinks has never really been a problem for him before either. He looked at the torn wristband that’s on the floor and tilted his head in wonder.

"oh, fuck me." he said in realization and frustration. He has been going around the bar, talking and making friends with a bunch of strangers, people who laughed as he glogged down their drinks nonchalantly. People who looked ordinary to him, all thanks to the wristband. People who can very well be vampires. People who would mix blood in their alcohol. His stomach began to turn again as he stared at his own vomit of red liquids and chunks of steak, slowly streaming through the cement cracks on the sidewalk.

Cubs and bars were the last of Lilith's options to get an early night snack. While she liked to party and dance her ass off all night sometimes, getting some drunken human from The Pit was becoming a hassle. Hunters were now frequenting the clubs and bars of Ember Grove in hopes of catching more stupid vampires that hadn't gotten the memo. Seriously, if you hear that hunters are going to clubs to hunt them, why would any sensible vampire go there without some backup? Idiots! If they were stupid enough to go alone, or go at all for hunting, then they deserved to be shanked by those fucking hunters.

Besides, there was no fun with drunken humans. They never fought back, not really. Lilith loved the rush of seeing humans run for their lives. She liked seeing the hope in their eyes where they were about to get away just for Lilith to dig her pretty fangs in their warm flesh. Of course, that usually just applied to her male victims. She tried to pick the biggest and meanest douche bag she could find, lure them to a private place where they could have some fun, and start her little games.

Tonight had been no different.

"Ugh, you got blood on my shirt." Lilith pushed the limp body of the man she had been chasing through the back allies of the city for a few minutes now. His body fell hard on the concrete floor next to a pile of trash. If it had been Lilith's choice, she would have done this in the man's car or somewhere that didn't reek of piss and vomit.

After wiping some of the blood that had spilled from the side of her lips, she pulled out a small mirror from her purse and reapplied her make-up, using the dim light of the light post. "Stupid man, if you wouldn't have run in here, it would have been more romantic like in, I don't know, the woods or the fucking river!" She groaned and kicked the man on the side of the head. "You really had to drag me here."

She scrunched up her nose as she put away the lipstick back in her purse and pulled the zipper close of her fluffy pink sweater to hide the very tiny bloodstain. It had been one of Lilith's favorite shirts, and now it was ruined because some dumb asshole had decided to try to punch her. Her! Who punched a lady trying to eat? "Rude." She huffed down at the now lifeless body.

With that, Lilith took the man's wallet, walked across the street to the river, and threw it into the water after taking any cash it had in it. She watched it disappear into the water before turning around and making her way towards The Pit now with her hunger satisfied and ready to shake her ass all night long.

"Well, I am glad you had a good day. Who knows maybe I can become that help." Cyrus replied, laughing a bit while scratching his head. "I could use a place for my clothes, yeah." he said, before a noise of distress rung through his ears. He turned his head towards Sorrel, "Yes, lets go help them." he said getting excited at the thought of something interesting happen. Maybe someone needed help and there would be a fight! He was brought out of his thoughts as he was distracted by Sorrel undressed in front of him "Wow, nice breasts you got there!" he exclaimed and chuckled before undressing himself and shifting into his wolf form. He let out a howl that other werewolves would recognize as a war cry.

It wasn't long of a run through the woods to find the scent and source of smell; it happened to be two other werewolves which one appeared to be injured. He listened to Sorrel, before speaking. "We only want to help, yes, but Sorrel is right, we may need to ambush the vampires. I can climb the tree above the injured wolf and wait." He told them, preparing himself for a fight. He seemed excited. "Sorrel, you can flank and if they go for the injured one, I will be there to jump down and rip out some throats." He growled and smiled as much as a werewolf could before climbing up the tree above where Luna and Liam were.

Helene stared at ocean for some time after Boris had left, listening carefully to the ocean conduct its symphony. She thought there might be someone else on the other side of the world standing on the water's edge, listening to the same music. Two strange souls connected by a singular event unknown to either one. One could say that was what kept her sane all these years. With every stroke of her bow and every melodic note that escaped her lips she dreamed there was someone out there listening at the same time. From Beethoven to Rhianna, she practiced it all in a desperate attempt to understand what it meant to be a part of the world.

Enough time had been spent staring at the waves and she was ready to continue her night though she had no idea where to begin. Instead of being discouraged, she left the beach perked up ready to meet the unknown letting fate guide her. After wiping her feet of and slipping her black heels back on, she began to walk back into town to see what the night life was like. Every step her eyes scanned the people and places she came across. The further she got into town, the more she began to see those who were intoxicated or simply having a great time. Their behaviors were a surprise to say the least. Everything from a two people furiously making out in the alley to a drunken brawl out in the middle of the street. Helene watched them with fascination having been raised rather strictly.

Distracted by everything around her, there was no time to react as a brute of a man crashed into her at full force as she began to cross an alley "Out of my damn way!" He yelled harshly but with a intense fear in his voice. The hit was so strong it had knocked her into the street and onto her back letting a small cry of pain as it happened. The breath had been knocked out of her and pain enveloped her entire chest, but neither lasted long as she sat up and tried to get her bearings. The man, whoever he was, had kept running without hesitation as if chased by the hounds of hell. A stark contrast from her earlier interaction with Boris. A flicker of anger rose from her before quieting down. She would simply remember it for next time, if there was one.

Mia came bouncing down the steps in her baby blue tracksuit and pink sneakers. Her dark hair tied up into a high ponytail, swaying back and forth as she descended the stairs. She put on her headphones and turned on her current favorite song on indefinite loop. Just need to set up dinner for Caleb and I'll be all good to go. Mia thought to herself. She made her way to the kitchen and wrote down a sticky note for her brother, leaving it on the door of the fridge.

Dinner's in here. Just microwave it for 5 to 6 minutes. Don't change the setting. xoxo Mia

She'd been going on autopilot and only noticed the handbag sitting on the kitchen counter when she turned to leave. It was definitely a women's bag and not hers. The bag was a muted green color, with gold detailing and it was in okay shape, it had seen some use. If it was a designer bag it wasn't of any brand she knew of. What interested her more was the owner. Mia could hear the faint sound of the tv, coming from the living room. When did her brother get home?
Caleb rarely got off early and if it weren't for the handbag Mia might have worried about him. He probably just needed some private time with a girl. If she went into the living room things might get awkward real fast. Her curiosity out won the chance of an awkward encounter and she tiptoed into the living room. She couldn't hear any talking. When she got closer she knew why.

Her brother was fast asleep, sprawled out onto the safe. The mystery girl resting her head on his chest. She looked familiar but Mia couldn't remember where she'd seen her. Probably around town somewhere. Mia smiled softly and searched around for a blanket. It was good to see Caleb trying again. There were days where neither of them left the house. There was some truth to the saying, time heals.
She unfolded a large quilt with embroidered flowers, which was supposed to be on her bed. Mia rolled her eyes. He probably couldn't find any other blankets, so he raided her room as usual. After she spread the quilt over the sleeping pair, she turned down the volume and brightness of the television.

Mia snuck out of the living room and quietly went left through the front door. She was going down her usual route through the park and back to their apartment on River lane. She crossed the street and started in a light jog towards the park.

Time: Night
Location: Outside Alexei's - River Lane - Kade's Basement Apartment
Interaction with:

With a spark from his lighter, Kade lit another cigarette as he made his way to his car. Still nauseous from throwing up all the blood he consumed today, he found himself leaning against the side door, completely exhausted. 'obviously, I can't drive.' he thought, which wasn't a big deal, really. The basement apartment he is renting is only one block away from Alexei's. He can walk home and come pick the car up tomorrow. He inhaled the smoke, hoping it would make him feel better, but instead it just heightened his nausea to become even worse. "Ugh, piece of shit." he muttered as he flung the unfinished cigarette to the side of the road. He looked back at his car, shook his head in frustration, and then let out a sigh.

Walking up river lane, Kade tried his best to hide how sick he felt from his fellow pedestrians. He didn't feel drunk anymore, but it did feel like he had something at the corner of his throat, itching its walls to get out as everything around him became blurry and strange. He brushed his hands on his face as he was nearing his apartment, waiting on a bus to pass by so he can cross the road, when something completely unexpected happened: across the street, there he was... Sam.

Kade's best friend since childhood, Sam, had always been there for him up until his death. In a series of events unknown to Kade, Sam was murdered with vampire blood in his system, making him transition into a vampire himself. All of that happened as Kade began making a life with his new wife, Mia, a powerful hedge witch, which forced Sam to be very cautious by staying away from Kade's life. In the end, Sam came back into Kade's life only so he could spy on him and his soon to be coven leader wife, and ultimately was the reason that the vampires and witches were at war. He was the one responsible for the death of Kade's mother. He was the one who had murdered Kade's wife.

Kade stared for a moment. There he was. Sam was standing there, blankly staring back at him, completely expressionless. It was extremely surreal as Kade hasn't seen Sam in years, and Sam, being a vampire, looked exactly the same way he did the day Mia died. Kade felt neaseua coming on even stronger, but with utter willpower he pushed down whatever was coming up his throat. He pulled out his gun and pointed it at Sam. "Hey, asshole!" he shouted, "Did you miss me?!" of course, he wasn't looking for a response, only revenge. He stepped forward, his gun aiming to hit Sam right between the eyes, as he pulled the trigger. Or at least he wanted to, but the damn bus he was waiting for to pass - just did, completely obstructing his line of fire. Kade grunted as he ran behind the bus to cross the street quickly, arriving at the other side and spinning around trying to locate Sam. His eyes darted from side to side, up and down, but the vampire was nowhere to be found.

Realizing Sam wasn't there, the puke Kade had been trying to keep in all came out on the side of the road as he choked. Nearby pedestrians eyeing him in disgust, purposefully avoiding him. "Sam!" he shouted angrily. "Come out you coward!"

Kade setteled down when he realized he was attracting quite a lot of attention. Smiling at a group of pedestrians that stopped to look at him. 'Am I hallucinating? Was Sam even here?' he thought. He rolled his eyes, and walked around his puddle of puke, and continued his walk home. 'That wasn't Sam. It couldn't have been.'

Back in his apartment, Kade quickly closed the door behind him and began drawing symbols on it. His wife Mia taught him how to ward off vampires by using pre-enchanted grains that he had in a small pouch. As soon as he was done, he rushed to the washroom to puke again. This time there was no blood in it - It was mostly just water and stomach acids. Knowing the blood was finally out of the system, he brushed his teeth, and popped 3 sleeping pills as he crashed on his bed.

He looked in his phone one last time for the day to see that he still has no response. "Whatever" he muttered, "I'll go find my own work, starting with Lover's Lake."
