Ilan stood in front of a large mirror while a handful of other performers were bustling about, adjusting their clothes, tuning their instruments and switching out masks and other accessories. He folded his hands behind his back and looked at his reflection, cocking his head to the side, which almost made his mask[insert picture] fall off. He caught it just in time. He reached up with his slender fingers and tied the green satin ribbon behind his head. The ends disappeared into his curls. It had been a long time since he'd been in formal clothes. He looked wistfully into the mirror, his features combining into an undecided expression. A careful smile on his lips, jade green eyes clouded over in trepidation.

The craftsmanship of his outfit was incredible, yet understated. The tailor had done this on purpose. It was befitting of his timid nature and wish not to draw much attention to himself. It would be his music which would capture the hearts of all the visitors tonight. He smoothed out the silk vest, and adjusted the sleeves of his blouse. Both the vest and his pants were made of a precious pale green silk, the color of budding leaves. Along the edges a simple floral embroidery reflected his fondness for the natural world. Intertwining strands of various flowers, in a range of muted colors. The blouse he was wearing had a very faint peach hue, with slight bellowing sleeves. Even his mess of curls had been neatly coiffed. Instead of his usual wild adornment of many flowers, Ilan had opted for a simple flower broach, fastened to his breast pocket.

He held his lyre, happy to be reunited with his prized instrument. Ilan practiced a few poses. One for introducing himself, another to say goodbye. A deep bow, a respectful nod. The ball was an event of a magnitude the faun hadn't witnessed before, let alone perform. It was safe to say he was nervous, much more than usual. The mask did help in that respect, because no one would recognize him and he had a limited view of the room. He was grateful for it. A large standing clock announced it would just be another hour before the ball would start. They were going to need him at rehearsals.

Ilan quietly followed suit behind a group of musicians who would join him on the stage tonight. Some chatted excitedly, others merely clutched their instruments with a stern expression. He wondered in all the excitement and pre performance jitters how his friends were doing. He'd seen them last a day before, after they had agreed Ilan's place as a stage performer would be a useful vantage point. He got swept up in all the preparations and selecting his wardrobe for the evening. The hall was decorated lavishly, matching the beauty and effort everyone put into their appearance.

"Wow..."
He whispered quietly, letting his gaze wander around. There were tables lined with all kinds of finger foods, exotic fruits and comforting sweets and cakes. Wreaths of lights mysteriously woven together and held by some invisible force bathed the hall in a warm glow. The dance floor was mapped out by rows of expertly crafted rugs of varying color and design. The stage captured Ilan's attention the minute he saw it, or rather part of the stage. Left of the stage a little farther back, a large magnolia tree rose up. One branch stuck out at an odd angle, on which someone had fastened a swing. There wasn't anyone on it, yet it swayed back and forth quietly, like it was being pushed by the wind. The ropes were decorated with wreaths and bundles of flowers of all kinds, shapes, colors and sizes.

The sight warmed his soul and he smiled. Content to just look at the swing, the faun remained still for a while. Behind him the large stature of the archer Regulus appeared. The sound of his hooves was muffled by the rugs, giving him the perfect opportunity to sneak up on the unsuspecting faun. The tall archer lifted him up with ease, placing his hands under the lean arms of Ilan.
Ilan let out a surprised yelp, suddenly feeling weightless as he was being held up by something. He strained his head over his shoulder to see Regulus giving him one of his rare smiles.

"What are you doing..?"
Ilan said sounding both nervous and happily surprised at the same time. His tight grip tickled a little.
"Put me down"
He laughed, trying to wiggle free. Regulus didn't say anything. The centaur started to dash towards the stage. The sudden change of pace made Ilan quiver. The rush made him shut his eyes.

"Don't drop me please.."
He managed to say while he was being rushed of someplace. Ilan felt he was being lowered to something. Regulus made sure the faun was seated safely after which he gently took hold of his hands and moved them away from his face. The faun still had his bright eyes closed. Regulus smirked at his mannerisms. How could someone like him exist in a cruel world like this?

"You can open your eyes now.." Regulus said with a smile, taking a step back.

Ilan opened his eyes to find he was swaying back and forth gently, surrounded by the scent of all kinds of flowers. Speechless for a moment, he listened to Regulus.

"That is your spot for the evening, I had it specially made" He explained gesturing towards, the decorations.

Ilan smiled his brightest smile.
"It's wonderful!"

Kyran was already dressed when Risa bumped into him as she came out of her room. “Oh my! You look beautiful.” He told her, catching her by her shoulders. He was awestruck by the sight of her in such a stunning dress. He was at a loss for words and could only stand there staring. “Uhh... So are you ready, princess?” Kyran asked, giving her a smile. He then kissed the back of her hand.

Aklenroth was in his library, accumulating knowledge as he read through his many books. He decided it was about time to prepare for the ball. He stood up and walked to his room. Once there, he looked through his expansive wardrobe until he found the perfect outfit. He proceeded to cast a spell to magically equip his clothing in a manner of seconds. “This will do quite well.”He said, admiring himself in the mirror.

Lifting up the rug, he then sliced his hand and let blood drip from his palm into the cracks on the floor. The floor began to open up and a staircase was revealed. Aklenroth descended down the stairs to a secret room filled with dozens of DROMs. Moving up to one in the center of the room, he activated and opened up a portal. He stepped into the portal instantly traveling to the backroom of the grand hall in Roshmi. Once there, he walked out to the entrance meeting up with Umber and Azriel. “Hello there. How are preparations going?”

The rest of the time at Roshmi City leading up to the ball had been great fun. Cade enjoyed exploring the city with the new friends they had made and spending time surrounded by the natural beauty of the greenhouse where they often met up. Even more than the greenhouse he enjoyed eating at the various vendors around marketplace after said meetings as Roshmi was a city with food from all different races and cultures of Avalia. He found Ilan and Regulus to both be great company, both demihumans seemed to have a down to earth and compassionate nature making them easy to get along with. Eventually it had been suggested that they attend the masquerade ball being hosted in the city as other rebels would be meeting there as well and it would serve as an excellent place to make new allies while remaining in disguise.

Cade had never been to a fancy ball before and while he normally embraced new experiences this one left him feeling more than a bit nervous. He was from a modest village, all the parties he’d ever been to had been very informal and even the experience of wearing formal clothing was strange to him. Although this opportunity to make new allies was one he couldn’t pass up, Cade worried he would stick out far too much when surrounded by the most elite members of the grand city of Roshmi. He had managed to quickly find an outfit that suited him and just barely met the standards of a grand ball with a great deal of help from the tailor. Although the tailor did a fine job and the clothes were certainly well-made Cade found them overly stiff and constricting. He was easily more comfortable when dressed for battle or adventure than he was for a formal evening. He did thank the tailor for the help though and was sure to be careful not to fiddle with the clothing too much so as not to accidently tear anything with his claws.

Finding a mask to wear proved a much more enjoyable experience. He tried many different ones on finding a great deal of amusement in looking like a different demihuman. This kept him entertained for a while as it took Ayita a bit longer to decide on clothing. He could only assume the fellow warrior was sharing the strange experience of dressing unlike one’s self. Eventually he settled on a leopard mask deciding that this would make it simple for his friends to spot him and he didn’t want to disguise himself from his allies. Eventually Ayita emerged from the dressing rooms and Cade stopped playing with the various masks the shop offered to see what she had decided on.

“Ayita you look as if you are draped in night’s sky itself and just as radiant.” He said as he did he best to bow formally. “Do you think Sakura will recognize me with this mask?” He asked as he lowered the leopard mask down over his face.

SUMMARY OF LAST TWO DAYS

After the encounter with the creepy stranger, Belle had returned to her normal and less mean side of herself. She had been about to speak when Elleta had pipped in and said they were staying at her house. Belle hadn’t spoken, out of fear of giving her away. So, after Torvi and Bowyn agreed to come stay the night (because who knew if the creep would show up again?) and gathered their belongings, the quartet headed to her house. The woman had laughed at his childish remarks after he had left. Belle was silent now, her temper slightly flared. She sighed and tried to shake it off. The day had been long as hell, and she was anxious to head to bed. She couldn’t help but wonder about Kuroi, Ilan, Baraian and the others. Were they safe and had they headed back to Ra-Monde? She bit her lip and remained quiet. Elleta, despite being tired, had used light magic to conceal their group and their pathway to her home.

Once they were at Elleta’s house, which was in the richer area of Roshmi, they found Rosemary (who had ducked out when the creeper had as to ensure they were safe to head back to Elle’s) and Morgayne hanging out on the couch. To Belle’s relief, some of her clothes and ball dress and mask had been brought too. She managed a delighted smile, trying not to show any surprise. Morgayne gave her a thumbs up, and Belle couldn’t help but hug them both. She couldn’t understand why she had been so concerned and decided to ignore it for now. ”Bowyn, Torvi and Boreas; this is Morgayne, also known as Morg and Rosemary. They are not threatening at all. They’re friends of ours and they will do everything they can to help, and protect you, before and during the ball and afterwards if you should so choose. Rosemary and I can teach you both the elves customs and dances, and also their stupid traditions tomorrow. There are guest rooms at the right of the hallway that you both are free to use.” Elle finished speaking and came to hug both of her friends, then headed up the stairs to her room.

After chatting with Rosemary and Morgayne in code, they assured her that no one had been in trouble. She sighed in relief, but bit her lip when they said they couldn't find the others. Morg saw her concern and assured her they were most likely going to be at the ball. Regulus, on the other hand, might remain at Ra Monde but she wasn’t certain. Belle thanked them for the tidbit then changed into her night clothes. She was staring at the bathroom with surprise and awe. The world kept taking her by surprise. What was scaring her more was how she was beginning to feel what felt like concern and worry for others. She had been too used to feeling cold and distant toward others that she wasn’t sure what to do. Belle scowled at the wall and headed out impassively passed the group and into her room. She had made sure to say goodnight to Torvi and Bowyn as well prior to stalking off to her room.

Ball Preparation - Elleta's Residence

The next morning, Belle was woken up after a restful nights’ sleep. Elleta and Rosemary had prepared food for everyone while Morgayne had gone out to hunt for others. She returned without news once more, though she assured a worried Belle it would be okay once more. She said nothing to the fairy, who had also noted in a quiet voice that “everyone knew they were all-right and are looking forward to seeing her at the ball”. Belle thanked her this time for the information, but her temper flared briefly and caused the sink to spout out water. Luckily, the Elves hadn’t noticed, and Morgayne had been busy eating her food. The thought of being the rebel leader crawled back into her mind which began to ache. The pressure upon her was gnawing at her inside. She chose not to say anything, and began to clean up the mess she had caused.

Afterwards, Belle trained with Elleta and Rosemary because these Elves didn’t take days off. They invited Torvi to join as well, and worked with the girls on their magic. They showed them defensive and offensive strategies and focused on ways to shield themselves. Afterwards, they practiced more with knives and weaponry, much to Belle’s delight. They had discovered Torvi’s nature, which Belle found incredible. A viking? That was amazing! She was in awe of her friend. Belle grinned at Torvi with genuine joy in her eyes. They quit training afterwards, not wanting to exhaust the humans. They made sure to prep Belle and Torvi, and also Bowyn if he had accepted their help. They showed the girls the customs, proper dancing, and also their mannerisms. Elleta had snicked when she showed them, obviously not one for tradition. She also warned them of the danger that posed and who to watch out for; this seemed plain to them but Belle couldn’t help but appreciate it.

Now, as Belle stared at her reflection in the mirror, she couldn’t help but imagine. What if the Gang hadn’t tried killing her? What if she hadn’t testified? Would she be here?” She couldn’t help but snicker at the way her life had gone. One day she was a gang member and leader, then a delinquent and then rebel, hiding from the gang. She shook her head and began to braid her hair while looking out for the others. The dress was beautiful; though she wasn't sure how she felt walking around in it. What if something happened and they needed to flee? The heels would have to either go or be used as a weapon if anything. And her magic...

She glanced at the dress and tights once more, then back up. What's wrong with being confident? Come on, Bells... She heard Embry's voice in her head and gritted her teeth, though the words helped. With a deep sigh, Belle smirked at her reflection. She then put on her mask and strode out of the bathroom with confidence. Her mind briefly wandered to the fate of Kuroi, Ilan, Baraian and Regulus. The Golden Death too, had been informed of her safety thanks to Morgayne. The sudden thought caused her stomach to churn and her mind to begin running frantically for any shred of hope and peace. The Golden Death would be looking for her and guarding her. She gritted her teeth and cast it out of her mind for now. She was clinging to the 'normalcy' of the past day still.

"Torvi, Bowyn - are you ready?" Belladonna called. She began to look for the others and heard the Elves and forest fairy upstairs, so she sat in the living room to wait for Torvi and Bowyn

The parting of Dio was quite a heartbreaking one and Elsea had felt a few tears slip from her own eyes as she watched how brokenhearted Risa was. She sent a silent plea up to the gods that Dionaea would be alright for she feared how it would change Risa if something were to happen to her dear friend. The loss of anyone close to you tended to change a person and she feared that this alone was already beginning to take effect with Risa.

They met with another group who Risa had come across one night and Elsea found herself being rather weary of the group. While they seemed nice enough and didn’t want to cause them harm, she knew they needed to be more careful now with their faces all over the place. Who to trust was going to be a difficult thing to determine from now on. She did find a strange comradery in the human girl, Corvina, though. Perhaps it was because the two shared the same element or perhaps it was just the excitement of finding another human who wasn’t high and mighty like Jean was.

Now it was an hour until the ball was to start and Elsea had opted to get herself ready as Risa needed Kyran’s mother’s attention. She was to make a statement at the ball and so the help getting ready seemed necessary. The gown Elsea had been given to wear had been nothing like she’d ever worn before. It was so elegant and beautiful that she felt like she wasn’t worthy of such fine apparel. She stared at herself in the mirror, not recognizing the woman standing there. She’d had someone show her how to apply something called makeup and it changed her appearance rather drastically. Her eyes seemed to pop more and her skin was completely flawless. Her hair had been swept back into a thick braid and adorned with some greenery that popped in her red hair. She took a deep breath and placed the mask on her face before stepping out of the room.

In front of her was Risa and Kyran, the latter seeming to be lost in the beauty of Risa who was in fact a sight to behold. ”Kyran you should probably pick your jaw up off the floor before we leave.” She teased as she gave them both a smile.

Torvi had been quite appreciative of Elleta for opening her home to them. For one it meant that they wouldn’t need to spend money on a place to stay anymore which she was sure Bowyn would be happy with. It also provided them with a semi safe place to talk and practice her magic, which practice she did. Elleta, Rosemary, and Belle invited her to train with them which was very helpful to Torvi. She learned that she actually prefered to be barefoot most of the time as it helped her feel a bit more connected to her element. Not only that, but it also made sensing things through the ground a bit easier, though in all honesty she wouldn’t call that an easy skill at all. It took the vast majority of her concentration to pull it off.

When it came to weapon training, Torvi was really in her element there. The others would see just how ruthless and deadly she could be with most melee weapons, but her specialties were axes and swords. She happily taught Belle what she could as well, hoping she’d never have to use these skills but if she did she’d be prepared. She’d even offered to teach Bowyn some stuff if he wanted as she wasn’t entirely sure how skilled he was in combat.

Now it was growing near time to leave for the ball and Torvi was readying herself. While she wasn’t unfamiliar with wearing dresses, she wasn’t used to such a fine dress that was a bit more form fitting. It made her a little uncomfortable, especially when she discovered that she’d have nowhere to carry her axes. She did find a way to strap a few knives to her legs, however, keeping them hidden from sight. She’d be damned if she were going into this ball without a weapon close at hand. Things could go so terribly wrong so quickly and she wanted to be prepared.

She looked herself over quickly, wondering how such a pretty dress had been made. Paired with her mask and hair she felt like she looked completely different. She also opted for some shoes that she could easily kick off and abandon if she needed too. With that she decided that she was ready and headed down the stairs to the living room where Belle was waiting. ”No, I don’t feel ready. I feel naked without my weapons, but there’s no use in complaining about that.” She said with a sigh, but then gave Belle a smile.

Artemis
Time: 4pm
Location: Amora, headed to Roshmi
Mention: @Tae Azriel @Alivefalling Aklenroth @Eviledd1984 O'Ner

Interaction: @FunnyGuy Darius @13org Myra

The past two days were interesting to say the least. Artemis had been able to eat what she wanted whenever she was hungry. Since she had been starving the past few weeks, it had been difficult to hold back from eating too much. Her energy level was improving gradually, and the color was returning to her skin. She had strayed from the room often. The Garden of Edena had been her favorite spot. Despite the warnings, she had sat in the pond frequently, or the tub. It had become her favorite spot to sink in the water and let go of her stress. Though she hated being on Daka, her newfound freedom was hard for her not to take advantage of. She wasn’t letting anyone tell her what to do or where she couldn’t go, though she remained cautious. She had been sneaking around the castle as well, though she made sure not go anywhere too forbidden. Her mind had been searching for something that wasn’t quite there. Her mind had raced frequently regarding it, however she managed to push it away. Right now, she had to take care of herself. Who knew if it was true, anyways? The Dark Elves had manipulated and toyed with her mind often.

Instead of focusing on the past, Artemis had started to focused herself on regaining her health and to assess her reflection when possible. Her hair was starting to grow thicker. Her scales on her legs when on land were glistening more now. She was finally free and was starting to reflect her joy outwards. She ahd been laughing with Darius carrying her around too, since her strength was still low. Her ability to move was impaired still, and she was thankful for the human's help.

When they had to meet Aklenroth’s forces, she had been subdued and quiet. Artemis' expression was stoic and impassive, and her arms folded. The floating Demon didn’t scare her, though she knew the other two weren’t thrilled with it. She had been around demons often. However, the female Wraith was off putting and kept her distance from her. Aklenroth’s General, O’Ner, despite being an Undead, didn't faze her. For her, it was another day on Daka being surrounded by evil. However, her eyes had been glued to Aklenroth, unafraid of staring him down. Artemis had only let her gaze move away to keep an eye on the Wraiths. She didn't trust them. Once they had been dismissed, Artemis let out a relieved sigh and stalked out rather quickly. She had taken the time to unwind again in the tub and regain more stamina.

It was to her dissatisfaction that this damn Elf would be staying with her group and mentoring Darius. When they were in the Moon Elf Kingdom, Artemis had been bristling with both relief and tension. She had been glaring at the Elves as she followed them. With her dress covering her legs, it was hard to tell what species she was exactly. Her ears were round like a human’s, though she didn’t display any human characteristics. She had given off a haughty aura, smirking at the Elves recoiling from Darius and Myra. When they were in the shop, Artemis had taken her time to find something that suited her. A rare smile had painted her lips. She had also found a hairpiece to match it. When it was time to leave, she wished to stay, but decided it was better to be on Daka than with these lonesome, filthy Elves.

Day Of the Ball

Finally on the Amora, Artemis was finally letting go of her tension. She lounged on the seat she was on, admiring her reflection. Her dress and mask were something to marvel over. She hadn’t partaken in anything fancy in years. Artemis had removed her mask a few times to admire it, too. She couldn’t remember the last time she had owned anything that was her’s. She swished the dress and beamed over the sparkling beads on it. To Artemis, it reminded her of the stars in the sky at night. She loved how it covered her scales, too. While Artemis wasn’t afraid of anyone, she wasn’t going to advertise being a mermaid. What if the slave captors were at the ball, or black marketers? She would be damned if she ended back in that hellhole. Right now, she was unrecognizable. Instead o her hair matted and tangled, it was combed out and in a simple up-do. The the longer layers were pulled back with a fancy headpiece. Artemis had gasped when she found it and beamed with excitement. How she adored swimming in the ocean, underneath the stars. The reflections over it on the sea had been one of her happiest place. She hoped she would be able to swim freely soon, but there wasn't an ocean on Daka...

Her attention turned to the group. She watched their interaction and had been silent. However, when Airdan spoke of her being a slave, she had emitted a low, menacing growl. As if she would appear as their slave or anything akin to it. Artemis shook her head at him and turned to face Darius and Myra. She had been about to speak, commenting on how cute Myra and Darius would appear as a demon couple, when Myra repeated the word ‘couple’. Artemis stared at her, wide-eyed. Was it her imagination, or had Myra actually spoken? Her shock quickly turned to excitement.

”Myra, oh my goodness! You spoke your first word!” She hugged the demoness gently with a grin that spread from ear-to-ear. ”You have a beautiful voice, honey, and I’m glad we were able to hear it. I am really proud of you.” She fell silent to allow Darius to react. She didn’t want to intervene in the explanation. Artemis fixed her dress over her legs more so and kept an eye on Airdan while watching her friends. The smile hadn’t left her face. Her brown eyes were shining with joy for the first time with company in awhile. For the first time, she was beginning to feel peace and tranquility. It was odd for her to call someone friend, but she knew she could trust these two. Their kindness was a debt she would never stop repaying them, especially for saving her from dying in the forest.

While she waited, she glanced outside the amora windows and grinned down at the city. Finally, she addressed Darius with a grin. ”See for yourself, Darius, the beautiful city below you is a sight to behold.” Artemis felt her heart break at a few memories she had of being in Roshmi and let out a deep, mournful sigh. Her mind raced, dashing her smile ever so faintly. Would it be a joy to be back? Would she find any old acquaintances? Artemis sighed. She hope that her past wouldn't come back to haunt her. She wanted to enjoy the ball. Tonight would definitely be interesting, too: she knew Aklenroth had something up his sleeves. Artemis tried to qualm her racing mind and focus on the present, but her nerves were starting to creep up. She clenched her fists and turned to Darius and Myra once more, trying to continue enjoy their company.

"Koou...pl?"

Darius's eyes shot open while Airdan raised an eyebrow. All eyes were on the demon the moment her voice uttered an attempt at a word. It was clear she was questioning "couple," but it wasn't clear on whether it was the word or the idea she was questioning. And yes that was important to note, but what needed to be addressed was the fact that Myra, the demon that never spoke actually said something!

"Interesting. So she's not a mute after all." Airdan said while Artemis embraced Myra in celebration. He wore a friendly smile before looking to the very silent Darius to take note of his reaction. Darius was a human belonging to Aklenroth, but Airdan was sure he could use him if he knew what motivated him most. For the two days he was with Darius he discovered that there were two things Darius cared for and Airdan would exploit those when the opportunity presented itself.

"Myra you…" Darius' look of shock soon formed into one full of joy. "MYRA YOU SPOKE!" Darius' felt like he could launch out of his seat from his excitement. "Couple." Darius repeated the word almost as if to assure its legitimacy to her. "I can't believe you spoke! We have to celebrate this. After the ball, we're going to eat big Myra, like all you can eat! Nothing but meat!" Darius said as he reached his hand out towards her for a high-five, a gesture he had taught her back when Skar was traveling with them. I wish Skar could be here… I guess I have to make it my goal to have Myra speaking better than her before we meet her again

Darius peered through the window of the Amora when Artemis brought up the city being beautiful. His only experience with Avalian settlements so far had been Orc Landing and Moon Elf Village, so the sight of Roshmi City left him awestruck.

"This is incredible. It's crazy how this is still even Avalia… Why the hell didn't the DROMs drop me here?! Hey, you know what? I'll take a photo... or memory or whatever you guys call it here." Darius pulled out the memory glass he had purchased the day prior and held the reflective side out to the window. The memory glass was one of the simple two dimensional kind with a black and silver decorated frame to it. "Snap!" Darius smirked as he looked at the glass to see the clear image of the city captured before it vanished from the reflective surface. He then looked to Artemis and Myra with a bit of a smirk as an idea came to him. He placed his masquerade mask and then put on the hat that completed his outfit. Finally, Darius held the memory glass out with the reflective side facing him. "Hey you two come in close. Tonight, I have two beautiful dates!" Once the two were in position, he'd snap the memory.

TIME: 4 PM
LOCATION: Roshmi City
INTERACTIONS: Ayita @13org, Cadence @Helo

Sakura was about to come out of her room when she felt a cold tingle down her spine. She quickly looked around, eyes wide in alarm when she realized she was just alone in there. She looked at herself again in the mirror, her hair nicely done and her outfit fitting her just nicely and making her look even more beautiful than before. She also felt a sinking feeling in her stomach.

She didn't know where all these emotions were coming from. She was confused because she was very excited about the upcoming ball yet somehow her excitement turned to uneasiness. Perhaps she was simply nervous that she will run into her father again? What will he do once they saw each other? Will he still remember that everything she did was part of her mission? Will he be angry because of what she did to Soruklithbaal? If that bone-headed dragon turned on her, Sakura swore she'll feed his body to the hellhounds.

Nevertheless, she just took a deep breath and sighed. So many thoughts and worries flooded her mind but she ultimately decided to just wing it. She won't let her nervousness get in the way of her having fun and possibly meeting a handsome fellow there.

She got out of her room to see Ayita dressed in a wonderful outfit. "Oh my Ayita, you look so pretty!". She spread her arms and hurriedly made her way to the human to give her a hug, then she turned to look at Cade. "I must say that you look very dashing in your outfit, Cade. I am very impressed." Sakura said as she gave him an impressed nod. She walked closer to him to adjust his collar before putting on her own mask. "Now, shall we be going?"

Ayita couldn't help but to blush a little bit when she heard Cade praising her. Even though that wasn't her real appearance, it still felt good being praised. The moment she looked at him though, she couldn't help but give a little chuckle as she saw the mask Cade got for him.

"So elegant! You look great Cade!" Ayita said, looking at his clothes with a surprised expression. She didn't think he would look so different than he looked normally.

"I don't think Sakura will recognize you. You look really different than you do normally. It's strange how different we can become just by wearing some clothes, isn't it?" Ayita asked with a chuckle.

Walking towards the section of the store where the masks were, she got a midnight blue mask, with a few feathers decorating it. It did fit perfectly with her dress, but the feathers were a small reminder of her true nature and her true self. After putting it on, she looked at Cade, with a mischievous smile on her face.

"So... How am I? Mysterious, beautiful?" Ayita asked, with a teasing stare towards cade as she twirling to show her dress and her mask together.

The moment she finished that though, Sakura finally was done putting on her dress and got out of her room to show her and Cade. Upon seeing Ayita, she hugged her, saying how she was pretty, but Ayita herself was amazed on how pretty Sakura was with her pink, flowery, eastern style dress.

"Sakura! You're wonderful! What a beautiful dress!" Ayita said, gasping in surprise as she hugged her back tightly.

"Doesn't he? He looks just like one of those princes from fairy tales!" she said, agreeing with Sakura as she gave a small giggle.

Truth be told, Ayita was indeed very excited about the ball. It was her first time going in that type of party and even though she had her disguise on, she was still a bit anxious of what could happen at the ball. After all, it was a ball organized by Aklenroth himself...

"I'm a bit anxious and worried, but I hope everything goes fine!" Ayita said as she put her mask, looking to the rest of the group.

"Ok. I'm ready now!" she said after giving a deep breath.

Myra wasn't expecting such a reaction from both Artemis and Darius when she repeated that weird 'Koupl' word, but they both seemed to be very, very happy. Myra didn't know if it was due to her speaking or the word she said. As Artemis hugged her, Myra gave a big smile, hugging her back and giving small, happy jumps, sharing Artemis' happiness just because she was happy. She didn't know why her trying to speak was such a big thing for them but if they liked she would try to do so more often.

Interestingly enough, Airdan was also surprised to see her speaking, almost as if they thought she wasn't able to. But maybe the most surprising reaction was Darius'. Myra couldn't help but think that the number of different expressions that he made in such a short time was something very amusing and interesting. It was undeniable that he was extremely happy though, going as far as saying they would celebrate with a big banquet after they finished the ball. Which, unsurprisingly, made Myra very happy, making her tongue get out of her mouth for a brief moment after hearing him mentioning meat.

"Foo!" Myra said excitedly just as Darius mentioned meat, hugging him and Artemis when Darius got the strange shiny glass thing he used to take pictures.

Time: 4pm
Location: Roshmi City
Interactions: Torvi @Tae, Belle @Potter

Bowyn was thankful for the free room provided by Elleta and Belle, and the house, which was a lot more extravagant than he expected, was more comfortable and secure than the tavern. It was comforting to spend time alone in a room, not quite as comforting as the absolute solitude of the forest, but as close as he was going to get in the foreseeable future. With just himself and Boreas he didn’t have to keep himself so guarded, and it wasn’t until he finally had the chance to relax that he realized how exhausting it was to keep his guard up all the time. As much as he hoped for a full night of restful sleep his mind kept that out of his reach. Nightmares of the undead continued to haunt his dreams, the decomposing visions of Aeryn, and of his own failure to act. The nightmares, as unpleasant as they were, served as reminder for what he still had to do, his burden to carry until he fixed his mistake of leaving Aeryn as a ghoul.

The day that followed saw Torvi and Belle learning the ways of elves and training in their magic, training that Bowyn opted out of; what use did a fairy have for learning to pretend to be an elf. He also saw little use in weapons training, there was no way to learn enough in a single day that would make him chose a weapon over the magic that had been a part of him since birth. He would’ve liked to use the day to form and sculpt ice from a pound on the property but the overbearing heat of Roshmi would require too much energy to maintain the ice. Instead Bowyn found a spot outside far away from the others to meditate. If he could not properly rest while asleep then resting while awake would be his bet in keeping up his strength. He didn’t share the others enthusiasm for attending a ball in Roshmi, it instead filled him with a sense of dread.

The second night was similar to the first night, and every night of the past week or so, but his much needed bath that morning had calmed his nerves for a bit. Bowyn had found clothes in the days before that suited him; black trousers, a white shirt, and a blue and silver vest. With a slight sense of whimsy he had even gotten a small bowtie that matched the fabric of the vest for Boreas. The bird found the idea of wearing said bowtie absolutely abhorrent but reluctantly agreed to do so only for the sake of being included in the groups outing. The mask he had chosen went well for someone constantly accompanied by a bird and overall Bowyn looked much more put together than he normally did. This was not his first venture into the world inhabited by wealthy elites. He had no doubts though that the more prestigious events of his own village paled in comparison to a ball held in Roshmi. When he heard Belle call for both him and Torvi he felt the sense of dread in his gut rise again. There had once been a time where he would’ve enjoyed such a thing, back when he had attended fancy parties with Aeryn, but to attend one now without her, and while she still walked the earth as an unnatural creature, just seemed like a betrayal.

“Careful Torvi, talking about being naked might summon our friend with the apple.” Bowyn said with a smirk as he entered the living room where the other two already stood, dressed and ready. “You may not have your weapons but you have magic now, a weapon that is much harder to disarm from you. Know your magic and it will know you, it will understand what you want and bend your element to your will. That is more power than any blade could ever possess.” Bowyn said while crafting a small knife out of the moister in the air. He then tossed the knife straight up and willed it to change to snow before it started falling back down. The small amount of snow then turned back into the ambient water vapor before it finished falling. The party trick from his home and the sight of snow again made him feel a bit homesick, which was strange because he was pretty sure hated his home. “And if we encounter trouble Boreas can always peck the eyes of our enemies to even the odds." Bowyn added with a smirk as the bowtied bird nodded with agreement.

Artemis
Time: Dusk
Location: Edena
Interaction: @FunnyGuy Darius @13org Myra

Artemis had beamed at Darius’ reaction. She had kept her gaze pointed towards her friends however her eyes had been on Airdan. There was an aura round him that she could not shake. While she naturally distrusted Elves, something in her gut told her something was off about him. Artemis decided she would keep an eye on him though, making sure to note anything suspicious. No matter; tonight was not the night for it. This was her first chance back in Roshmi and she was going to enjoy herself. She turned to watch Darius take out the memory glass. She smiled faintly, having not seen one for what felt like a decade. She wiped her eyes, pretending it had been something else. Her heart ached for familiarity in her life, but it would never go back to how it used to be. She wasn’t positive she could find herself to be happy again. However, this pair were beginning to aid her in that process.

At the same time Darius mentioned celebrating with meat, he pulled the memory glass out. His words caused her to grin and playfully kiss Darius on the cheek while hugging Myra and him to her. She let go after the picture, giggling and waiting to see Darius’ reaction. She pulled away and leaned her back against the Amora with a grin. She appreciated the human's kindness and helpfulness. Not to mention, his delightfully goofy personality. Myra, too, was a delight to hangout with. She truly hoped nothing bad would happen to them. The demoness hopping up and down was the cutest thing she had seen in quite awhile. For now, she would allow sparkles of her old personality to shine through and maybe, just maybe, find the happiness she had missed.

For now, her guard would slip down just enough to have fun, but not enough to where she couldn't defend herself. She bit her lip and glanced at Darius now, keeping an eye on Airdan. She needed to tell Darius the nature and origin of her species and power. What she wouldn't talk about yet was being a slave. Those memories were harder to come to terms with and discuss. The amount of abuse she had suffered would surely throw this human over the top. She knew he might ask, yet she was hoping he wouldn’t. One look at her was descriptive enough. Tonight was a night she was hoping to have fun and be herself at, but this damn elf was her nerves, simply by chaperoning them. She sighed quietly and pushed it out of her mind.

When Darius snapped the memory into the memory glass, the expression he held in the still image was one of utter shock. Not only had been surprised by Myra's attempt at words, but Artemis had planted an unexpected kiss on his cheek. Darius laughed at the image captured before it vanished from its surface. Everyone's high spirits really kept his mind off of the dreams he'd had since meeting Malgormuun.

The dreams were always distorted memories of humans arriving in Avalia. It was what he witnessed when he smashed the crystal, but the dreams were more focused and in depth. It was all their moments before they ultimately perished. Malgormuun was always there, almost like a presenter of these memories. Pausing and rewinding to prove a point or make a comment. As hard as it might be for Darius to experience this, he didn't refuse it.

After several minutes, the amora would land onto a landing pad reserved for high ranking military officials, politicians, and those with enough amas to pay at the Laastak Transport Center. Darius stepped off of the amora with an excited look on his face as he carried Artemis in his arms. Upon him was a city that he only thought could exist as CGI in movies and televisíon shows. He was from a large city himself, but Roshmi was something out of fantasy. Gold and white armored light elf soldiers subordinate to Airdan stationed themselves around the amora that Darius and his group exited. Darius couldn't help but look around at the unique Avalian architecture of the transport center.

Due to being on a more exclusive landing pad, there weren't many people in view, but as the group ventured towards the Roshmi City Grand Hall, Darius and company would lay eyes on all sorts of different people and even more architecture both unique and a bit familiar to Darius. He also noticed something else that would be peculiar to everyone in his company.

"What's with the shriveled up trees?" Without context, Darius didn't give it too much thought to the withered trees affected by dark elves ensuring that Roshmi City would not flourish.

Several minutes more and the group arrived at a giant dome shaped building, the Roshmi City Grand Hall. Airdan ordered his men to remain in the immediate area as weapons were not permitted in the grand hall. There to greet the group was an elderly elf with a friendly smile on his face. Darius smiled back not even noticing that it was the demon he had been wary of on Daka. Umber the Wraith.

"Oh my don't you all look splendid and such an interesting group. Two demons, an elf, and a demihuman. Please make your way inside and feel free to seat yourselves and get acquainted with the other early arrivals."

Terneus Andros

Time: 2 days Before the ball
Place: Infirmary

It was a fine wine sold back in the day when the dark elves first were exiled, that now found itself in full flight before crashing into the formerly pristine wall in the infirmary. The pieces of glass flying across the nearby surroundings and covering the floor, the red wine flowing down the wall. The generous, gracious and always levelheaded, Lord Terneus Andros, the governor of the light elves had just been read the news by one of his knights. The elf had resorted to spewing said wine already in his mouth straight into the knight's face on hearing that, the sun elven governor not only had been attacked but wounded. Terneus whom was known to have a colourful personality took the news well.

"Wounded?! Me?! I'll never hear the end of this!" The elf cried out, throwing a wineglass towards the closest knight standing on guard.

"M-my lord, the healer said you should not get upset it will make the stitches-" One of the knights spoke up, against the better judgement of his commander also being present.

"Upset?! Do you think I am upset?! I am fuming!" The elf spit and grit his teeth, sliding his legs to the side of the bed, standing up on unsteady feet his chest bandaged and so was half of his face covering his one eye. The other eye seemed abit bloodshot and as if darting for someone to blame.

"Lord Andros." The commander, Feldrin addressed him.

"What?!" He yelled out in clear agitation, his hands twitching as if wanting to throw something or strangle someone, the ever so understanding governor chose to grab the closest knight across the face and press him up against the nearest wall.

"Even the most respected and powerful can be scarred, it's a matter of how you take being..." The commander stopped mid-sentence on noticing his lord dropping the knight down from the wall and instead with shaking hands reached up to his face.

"My lord, I wouldn't-" Another knight in the room, closer to the doorway began to add when he was shushed by Feldrin.

"Scarred? My face...?" The governor reached for the bandage and began to undo it, as he went over to look in the mirror so neatly placed into the room. Of all being in Avalia, few were those who could face the truth as calmly and in such a dignified manner as the elven governor...

"My face.. my beautiful face..." He said softly, reaching up to the sticked up line going from the underside of his jaw all the way up his face before ending just above his one eye. The eye was still intact but there were so many stitches and only so much patience. The elf's fingers began to caress the stitched line softly, feeling how it would sting on contact.

"Ahaha? My noble cheek.. my perfect.. jawline... my divine grace... It's been ruined!" The elf finally snapped and kicked with full force into the mirror with his armored boot, pieces of the mirror flying across the floor. He could feel the heat boiling over inside of him, how his face became more and more strained and red until he was snapped back to the sound of a slight pop. Like a string breaking off. One of the stitched parts broke off and the elf recoiled.

"Why you... I will boil them alive! I will feast on their wretched- What are you looking at?!" He said in clear agitation to the knight by the doorway, before approaching to slap him across the face. "Watch the damned door..." He said through gritted teeth, his attention snapping to Feldrin.

"My lord Andros, there is a ball to be held in the city. We suspect these rebels may be drawn to it. I would suggest that we-" The commander was skillfully interupted by his superior.

"A ball? Yes, that's... yes.. we shall find the ones who did this to me, or find someone that can take the blame. Yes... yes.. I will have my honor... my fame restored... once I'll capture them and burn them on the stake. Bring me my outfit from the carriage... my good one... and bring a mask, I cannot be seen like this." The elf began to caress his own face, momentarily becoming oblivious to the people around him, as if they didn't really exist.

The day of the ball.

Time: Late afternoon
Place: Infirmary (A change-room)

It took the elf a long time to mirror himself with his ball attire, the white and overly fashionable details to it was surely going to wipe out any other opposition to the most graceful attire. But even in such an attire, the elf was displeased for the most important part for his attire had been stained. His face. His beautiful spotless face. The white and gold full face porcelain mask came to cover it well. His injury. His unforgivable shame. When his father had failed to bring victory to his kind, or when his younger brother defected to the dark elves. Both of these things were minor in comparison to thew damage done to his visage.

"Commander Feldrin... tell me, don't I look splendid? Don't I look marvelous and unmatched under the heavens? Have you ever seen anyone wear such pure grace in a manner such as I?" The elf said in a more pleased tone, the longer he found himself looking at the mirror-image of himself now with a mask on.

"You have never looked better my lord." The commander said, biting together an urge to smile. Even if for a brief moment, such an action could have costed him not only his job but possibly also his life.

"Yes.. yes.. a true noble amongst the elves. The -only- noble among the elves. Of all the elves, only I have the grace, the great intellect and the good hand with the people to make things work for us..." He said softly, admiring his outfit especially around his waist which was making his chest seem more muscular than it actually was due to all the details and medals covering it.

The elf took a few more moments to admire himself, for who knew when he would see an elf of this beauty again. "Commander get your attire as you are going to come with me, the rest of you idiots are going to make amends by watching over the wounded idiots." The governor said in a snarling manner.

Trying to locate rebels in Roshmi had proven to be fruitless, which was a bit of a disappointment to Azriel. At least she got to have some interesting fun at the brothel. When Umber decided to return to the castle, Azriel diligently followed him. She knew the ball would be their best opportunity of catching people and it would be best to prepare for that at the very least. Upon their return she discovered there were new guests at the castle. She found them intriguing, especially when introduced. What a change of pace this human was from Jack. She'd eyed the three, the entire time giving them a slightly unsettling smile. How fun it would be to mess with them, but no time for that yet. There were preparations to be made for the ball.

Now, Azriel stood off to the side of the hall, dressed in a maroon dress with delicate silver chains adorning the long and expensive looking dress. The back was completely open in order to accommodate her wings. Her hair was done up in an elegant style that was very much not her, but she figured if Umber got to look different and stupid then so could she. She even had makeup on under her mask which seemed to pair well with it, even the red lip she’d chosen. She definitely didn’t look her normal self and she’d even venture to say she looked hauntingly pretty, other than the obvious scowl on her face.

The disguise Umber had chosen was definitely not her favorite and had put her in a bit of a sour mood. Pair that with the twinge of jealousy she felt when Umber mentioned Elsea and she wasn’t the most inviting looking person in the room at the moment. ”Oh yes, I’m just swimming with excitement.” She said in response to Umber.

The appearance of Aklenroth didn’t help much either, but she tried to not allow it to make things worse. Why him and Umber wanted to look like light elves was beyond her. ”Preparations are going just fine. Things should be in place.” She said in response to her ruler’s question.

Torvi shuddered at the thought of the fairy they’d encountered a few days ago. She turned to Bowyn and stuck her tongue out. ”Well don’t you look handsome!” She said and then smirked before adding, ”I guess Bowyn looks pretty okay too. If he was gonna tease her then she’d tease him right back. Besides, Boreas did look darling in his little bowtie.

Bowyn’s next statement about her magic had her sighing just a bit. ”I know you’re right, but I don’t have as much confidence with my magic as I do with my weapons. I’ve been training with magic for little over a week while I’ve trained with weapons since I was a very small child. You can’t blame me for being more comfortable with weapons than my magic right now.” If she’d had the magic since she was little and used it since then she was sure she’d probably rely on that more, but she hadn’t had that luxury like Bowyn did. Of course he’d be more comfortable with magic.

”Shouldn’t we be leaving soon? Is everyone ready to go?” She asked after another moment had passed.

O'Ner Faister

In the present time O'Ner was with Artemis at the ball he was begrudgingly forced into participating, Still using his demi-human disguise as he wanted to try to fit in with the others. He was sitting with her having a glass of wine, even though the drink would not affect him. He would be drinking quite alot of this fermented behavior to help pass the time, He felt the ball would be pointless in crushing the rebels. "Would you like anything to drink my dear" He said to the siren, He felt a strange bond between the two of them. They were both slaves to Aklenroth with no possible way of escaping, In the back of his mind he had a plan of helping her escape along with any others that needed such a thing.

But for the time being he was going to play the good little ant and do whatever his master told him to do. Dusting off the plain black suit he wore which was somewhat of a keepsake form his past being alive, the story he had told the others of his absence was that he was collecting some flowers for his garden. So he hoped that would be enough of an excuse to hide the fact he was trying to contact his family.

Time: Late Afternoon
Location: Roshmi Grand Hall
Interaction: @13org Myra and @Potter Artemis, @Eviledd1984 O’ner.

Darius, Myra, Artemis, and Airdan seated themselves at a table far from the entrance. Airdan had been instructed by Aklenroth himself not to seat Darius too close to the entrance as his appearance was too exotic to be the first thing one would see. Demons were rare in greater Avalia and held a hefty stigma. Embodiments of chaos and violence are what most deemed the species as. Even then, their kind though not favored were permitted to travel to where they pleased.

Darius had played the role of a demon before to ignorant orcs while passing through Orc Landing and knew a lot more about the species since then. He should have been brimming with confidence, but concern gently scratched in the back of his mind. Maybe he needed a drink… A drink! When’s the last time I had a drink? Avalian is coke wasn’t too bad… so the alcohol should be decent too. Airdan suddenly spoke as he rose from his seat. His eyes met Darius. He spoke softly as guests were already starting to fill the room with demihumans possessing acute senses amongst them.

“I apologize for this, but I must seat elsewhere… to cover more ground in our search. You shall fair well with General Faister.” As if on cue, O’ner approached the table, taking his seat beside Artemis. Darius looked upon the general with confusion due to his appearance. Darius had seen O’ner within Aklenroth’s castle a few times here and there, so he knew the tall lurking skeletal undead never looked like the handsome well-dressed man that now sat at their table. Kol told me that the undead general could change his appearance at will. Looks like everyone is sort of undercover, even with the masks on. Darius gave a serious nod to Airdan, even though he would have preferred the light elf stayed. Artemis seemed sour around the elf, but he was one the nicer Avalians he’s met. “He will ensure you and your company are content for the time being. I bid you farewell, Darius.” Airdan's true reason for leaving had more to do with his self image. He was a Light Elf Commanding Officer. He couldn't be seen seated with ghastly demons and filthy demihumans.

“See you around!” Darius said before looking at O’ner again and then to Myra. O’ner sat directly across the large round table from her. To her right sat Darius, and to his right, Artemis, and then there was O’ner. The group took up just half of their table, giving them all a clear view of the rest of the ballroom from their corner. “I think you should be okay if he’s over there right?” Darius was not sure how Myra did it, but she could tell when an undead was in disguise. He needed her to be calm during this whole event and as long as he stays close, it shouldn’t be a problem………

Belladonna

Time: Late Afternoon
Location: Elleta's Residence ---> Roshmi Grand Ball
Mention: @FunnyGuy - Umber
Interaction: @Tae - Torvi | @helo - Bowyn | @dreamingflowers - Ilan

Bella turned to Toriv and Bowyn and chuckled. Boreas looked so adorable that Belle had to struggle to remain nonchalant. ”You clean up well, Frosty.” She shuddered at the mention of the moth fairy and scowled. ”Gross. I’m moving on from that comment.” She turned to Torvi and nodded in regards to her comments regarding magic. While Bell hadn’t grown up the same way, she was too used to her gun and missed it. Hell, even a baseball bat would help her feel more comfortable. She could kill to go back to Earth and grab her gun and return. She sighed in dismay.

The sound of clicking filled her ears and she turned to watch Rosemary and Elleta walking down the staircase together, laughing about something. Belle watched them with surprise. She had been used to them being in rebel clothing that she hadn’t expected their extravagant outfits. Rosemary wore a light pink long-sleeve dress with pink heels. Her usual blonde bun was now laying around her in ringlets. Elleta, on the other hand, wore a sparkly grey dress with frills and mid length sleeves. Her hair was in a bun and she wore a gold headpiece. Both women had on black masks with gold lace around it. As she watched them approach their trio, she noticed a gold bracelet on Rosemary's arm as well. It took a second for it to click, then when she realized it, smirked. ”Nice outfits.” Belle told them with a smile as they approached them.

”Thanks. Same for you.” Elleta eyed her and looked to Rosemary, who seemed to be communicating telepathically with her. Belle watched, eyebrows raised, as Rosemary nodded. She then gestured for Bowyn and Torvi to follow her outside where a horse drawn carriage was waiting.

”There’s a carriage outside. Please follow,” Rosemary addressed them and left swiftly. Belle bit her lip, knowing whatever was happening next, had to do with the Golden Death. They weren’t sure if they wanted to expose Belle yet, so they wanted it to be private.

”I have something for you, too.” Belle swallowed hard and watched as Elle disappeared into the bathroom, then returned, carrying a gold necklace. Bellea watched with surprise, then swallowed hard. She wasn’t a fan of wearing necklaces. She sighed though and remained silent. ”I know what you’re thinking.” Elleta paused and looked at Belle. ”I sense your frustration and anxiety. This is to help us pick one another out in the crowd.” Another pause, then Elleta adjusted her mask properly on her face. She sighed as she added a gold bird pin to Belle’s mask. Belle stood there silently, knowing it was best to remain silent. She was happy to at least have a bird related theme to her ensemble, despite not coordinating with her initial ensemble.

”And the necklace I am providing you was my mother’s. She was killed by Aklenroth’s army many years ago when protesting the injustice. Not only did my mother die, but they sought to slaughter my entire family. I was hiding among the Golden Death for years until I finally resurfaced many years ago. I am an old woman, Bell, but I am not a fool. I know you’re struggling deep down and I’m sorry if this added more pressure to you - but we can’t lose you. You’re the leader and our friend.”

Belladonna remained silent and nodded. This was true. She also felt touched that Elleta was entrusting her with her mother’s necklace. The Elven women’s words radiated a warmth through her that she wasn’t used to feeling. What the hell was she feeling? Belle had no idea and it perplexed her. It had been too long since someone had been that sweet and loving to her. She didn’t know how to act or what to say, so she kept it simple. ”Thank you, Ell. I appreciate it. I won’t leave you guys.” The words held conviction, but the emotion wasn’t sound. Elleta studied her and then pulled her into a gentle hug. Belle stared with shock, frozen for a moment; then reality kicked in and she hugged the taller elf back.

”Come on. Let’s go.” Elleta’s warmth remained, but the seriousness the elf carried with her, had returned. Belle nodded and followed her to the carriage where they joined Bowyn, Torvi and Rosemary. The ride was silent from then on. Belle didn’t know what to say or how to act. She was choked up on the inside and felt as if her airway might close. Her eyes were frozen on the scenery outside, not looking at one another. This woman was risking everything to protect and train her. Hell, the entire Golden Death was placing their trust and hope upon her. The weight on her shoulders could have crushed an elephant.

Once at the Ball, the carriage was drawn away to a safe spot after everyone had exited it. Belle stared with awe at the hall, unable to tear her gaze from it. Elleta took her arm to pull her away so as not to look suspicious. Bell snapped her attention from it and glanced at Torvi with wide eyes. She wanted to see the reaction she held as well. While she remained impassive, the awe had been there briefly. Now, she wiped the astonishment from her expression and took a deep breath. Time to be an Elf and not a human, she thought. It would be easier for her to act disgruntled by the humans and appear as if they were beneath her. It was all she could think of to do to blend in at the moment. All she could do was think of Katniss Everdeen and sighed once more.

Their party arrived at the door and were greeted by an older light elf. Belle stared at him then away with a sigh. What the hell was she supposed to do? The Elves couldn’t have prepared her for this. She tore her gaze away finally and stared at the inside as they made it inside the hall. Belle paused with awe in her eyes. ”Magnifique,” She whispered under her breath. Belle had never seen anything so beautiful and grand in her life. No, she was used to her rundown neighborhoods. Lysandra… Lysandra would have loved this building.

For a moment, heartbreak filled her. The woman was an architect junky. A brief second and Bell was back in the living room, settling down to watch the movie. Brief anger rose inside of her as the reality sunk inside. Now instead of a delinquent, she was a rebel leader masquerading as an Elf with suffocating pressure on her. Her anxiety was beginning to crawl back up. Bell shook her head to settle her emotions down and took several deep breaths. She forced herself to look away, then turn to the Avalians as Elleta went to speak.

”Please find a table and settle down by it. I suggest going near the back or middle to be safe. Stay calm, quiet, and be cautious.” Elleta patted her head gently and moved away with Rosemary to begin looking around. The women seemed to be focusing on some other guests who had already arrived. As Belle watched them leave, her eyes trailed to the front where she saw Ilan and Regulus. She smiled and ducked her head so that nobody would see. She recognized Morgayne flying over to them and handing him a large mask to cover his face. They seemed safe and sound. A wave of relief washed over her. Later she would have to go greet them - but for now, she'd listen to Elleta's instructions. She turned away and looked at Bowyn and Torvi.

"So, where shall we go?" she inquired, allowing them to choose.
