Leandra Lovelace
Location: New Rome - The Senate House
Skills:
Leandra's lips curved up into a smile as she left the Senate House, feeling the warmth of the sun drifting onto her shoulders amid the brisk California air. As much as she enjoyed the political and bureaucratic bliss of Senate meetings, the Senate House could often get so chilly, especially given the alterations she'd made to her toga. Nothing against regulations, of course; she'd just gotten rid of some of the excess fabric that made her feel bulky, making sure that she could slip the sleeve down to reveal her shoulder, something that, to her, made the toga more fashionable. She kept the accessories she carried with her normally, being her purse and necklace, finally tying the outfit together with a large, circular pin colored pink and gold at her hip, the surface of which depicted a heart being pierced by an arrow.
Despite her appreciation of the gentle heat that cascaded onto her form, she made no effort to look up at the source, or even watch where she was going. Instead, she stared down at her book, the pages of which were filled with her schedule for the day. Senate meetings weren't as...orderly as Leandra would've liked. They usually went on until there wasn't anything left to talk about, which made her habit to plan every day down to the minute difficult. So that left her with really only one option: take her schedule outline she wrote up in the morning, and edit it to fit her current time. All while she walked to her next destination. Pen in hand, she neatly wrote. It was 11:10, and they'd just broken for lunch, though perhaps lunch was a strong word for it. Leandra planned on shoveling down a salad, and using her excess time to write out a list of talking points on topics she wanted to discuss with the senate. Using her knowledge of how the meeting had been that morning, she made an estimate of what her schedule would look like after. If the meeting was done around 3:00 or so, that would be preferable. It'd likely take her around two minutes to get back to her base of operations. She'd use the remaining 58 minutes to work on some of her more pressing paperwork, while the meeting was still fresh in her mind. Then she'd spend an hour training her Cohort. Then, at 5:00 PM was dinner, during which she'd spend time going over the camp's budget, as well as chat with her cohor-
Leandra's writing was interrupted by the familiar voice of the camp's Oath Binder. The blonde stopped, turning her head back towards Niah, her lips resting in a small frown. It sounded like lunch would have to wait. And worse, it sounded to her like they were going to be talking about one of Nancy Parker's visions rather than anything actually interesting, like where money could be saved concerning camp meals. A small part of her was concerned, knowing that the brash and chaotic Praetor wouldn't call a meeting if her life depended on it. It must've been something bad to drag everyone back inside. But she didn't show this concern. She looked down at her book, crossing out some times and writing in new ones, before letting out an annoyed sigh. If this took less than an hour, she'd probably be able to move everything planned out forward, and be asleep by half passed midnight. With that, she closed her book, popped a couple of caffeine pills, put a smile on, and began to make her way back into the Senate House.
"Wonderful," she said to Niah as she passed, her voice surprisingly sounding more sincere than sarcastic, though if one disliked her, they might've assumed her big grin wasn't entirely real. "How convenient. I actually had a few more thoughts on some corners we could cut to conserve funds that I'm simply dying to share." She walked back into the Senate House, making her way to a seat, pulling out her book and beginning to write down speaking notes on topics she planned on bringing up as she waited for the rest of the senate to gather.
