Leandra Lovelace

Location: New Rome - The Senate House
Skills:

Leandra's lips curved up into a smile as she left the Senate House, feeling the warmth of the sun drifting onto her shoulders amid the brisk California air. As much as she enjoyed the political and bureaucratic bliss of Senate meetings, the Senate House could often get so chilly, especially given the alterations she'd made to her toga. Nothing against regulations, of course; she'd just gotten rid of some of the excess fabric that made her feel bulky, making sure that she could slip the sleeve down to reveal her shoulder, something that, to her, made the toga more fashionable. She kept the accessories she carried with her normally, being her purse and necklace, finally tying the outfit together with a large, circular pin colored pink and gold at her hip, the surface of which depicted a heart being pierced by an arrow.

Despite her appreciation of the gentle heat that cascaded onto her form, she made no effort to look up at the source, or even watch where she was going. Instead, she stared down at her book, the pages of which were filled with her schedule for the day. Senate meetings weren't as...orderly as Leandra would've liked. They usually went on until there wasn't anything left to talk about, which made her habit to plan every day down to the minute difficult. So that left her with really only one option: take her schedule outline she wrote up in the morning, and edit it to fit her current time. All while she walked to her next destination. Pen in hand, she neatly wrote. It was 11:10, and they'd just broken for lunch, though perhaps lunch was a strong word for it. Leandra planned on shoveling down a salad, and using her excess time to write out a list of talking points on topics she wanted to discuss with the senate. Using her knowledge of how the meeting had been that morning, she made an estimate of what her schedule would look like after. If the meeting was done around 3:00 or so, that would be preferable. It'd likely take her around two minutes to get back to her base of operations. She'd use the remaining 58 minutes to work on some of her more pressing paperwork, while the meeting was still fresh in her mind. Then she'd spend an hour training her Cohort. Then, at 5:00 PM was dinner, during which she'd spend time going over the camp's budget, as well as chat with her cohor-

Leandra's writing was interrupted by the familiar voice of the camp's Oath Binder. The blonde stopped, turning her head back towards Niah, her lips resting in a small frown. It sounded like lunch would have to wait. And worse, it sounded to her like they were going to be talking about one of Nancy Parker's visions rather than anything actually interesting, like where money could be saved concerning camp meals. A small part of her was concerned, knowing that the brash and chaotic Praetor wouldn't call a meeting if her life depended on it. It must've been something bad to drag everyone back inside. But she didn't show this concern. She looked down at her book, crossing out some times and writing in new ones, before letting out an annoyed sigh. If this took less than an hour, she'd probably be able to move everything planned out forward, and be asleep by half passed midnight. With that, she closed her book, popped a couple of caffeine pills, put a smile on, and began to make her way back into the Senate House.

"Wonderful," she said to Niah as she passed, her voice surprisingly sounding more sincere than sarcastic, though if one disliked her, they might've assumed her big grin wasn't entirely real. "How convenient. I actually had a few more thoughts on some corners we could cut to conserve funds that I'm simply dying to share." She walked back into the Senate House, making her way to a seat, pulling out her book and beginning to write down speaking notes on topics she planned on bringing up as she waited for the rest of the senate to gather.

Janelle Gauger

Location: Manhattan Bus Depot
Skills: N/A

"Oh, well dat sounds interestin... Not too sure what to dink about 'avin any sort o' powers... I'm just me, powers o' any sort sound a bet strange to me stell," she said simply towards Kristin with a bit of a shrug. She wasn't typically used to this sort of thing, magic or any sort of power. Janelle had always been the oddball considering everything, without her eyesight, many people growing up had thought that she wasn't capable of much, and it was something that bugged her. Knowing that she had powers made her feel a little better, but it also made her wonder why they had never popped up before.

Turning somewhat in the direction of Zeke's voice, she nodded at what he was saying. "Well dat sounds like a usefoehl ability," she said in response to what he had said about his powers. Then he asked where her accent was from and she looked out the window of the bus as she responded. "Oh, uh... I grew oehp in Galway, Ireland. two years ago my brahther and I came to de states after our parents died..." she said, not really wanting to talk more about that entire thing. She still had problems getting used to living in the states, even after 2 years. "My brahther and I bot tend to 'ide our accents, sence it makes us stand out, so dat people wouldn't nahtice us. So we'd blend in while in dis country."

Of course, the instant the words were out of his mouth he instantly regretted it, even before Demetri even said anything. Growing up he had been known for having a fiery temper to match his red hair, and apparently other people who had Ares for a father were like that. That was a bit of a comfort, but not too much of one, considering the fact that he still felt bad for shoving Demetri. 'ey Demetri, I'm sorry fr dat, i shouldn't 'ave lahst me temper like dat... I've always been tahld my temper matches me 'air color. Just de past few days 'aven't exactly been de best, and a bet insane."

Those were the only words he could think to say, and he rolled his eyes slightly at Leda when she mentioned the accent as well. He knew perfectly well that he and his sister both tended to hide their accents for the most part, it was namely because it made them stand out like a sore thumb when out and about in towns or cities. It would be clear that they were foreigners, so for the better part of the past few years they tended to do their best to suppress it, no matter what it took. Since before when they didn't the kids at school would make fun of them for it.

Mary meanwhile decided that it was probably for the best that she not pay much attention to the chaos that was surrounding the two guys, whatever issues that they had with one another they would have to deal with. She also thought that Leda shouldn't have made the comment about an accent thing, especially since Leda herself had one of her own. Actually Mary even had a slight one, she just hadn't exactly spoken in her native language for a very long time so it at the least was diminished. She was glad to hear though that she'd be one of the first people to learn how to pilot the ship, or at least figure out what they'd need to do to prevent from crashing the ship. That was going to be fun. "Well this'll be fun, let's get going then."

After those words, she glanced back towards the others for a moment, before shaking her head slightly as she followed Alannah towards the wheelhouse to see what sort of controls there were in this area. "Alright, so long story short, watch the monitors, warn everyone if the monsters are coming, and hope we don't run into anything. Sounds simple enough. The fact that this ship has autopilot is an awesome thing, since it makes it so that we don't really have to do much aside from if the ship decides to start falling out of the sky."

Kiera Donovan

Location: The Argo III, Upper Deck
Skills: Hydrokinisis

Kiera looked at Leda and gave her a little bit of a smile before following her over to the edge of the ship, she couldn't help but look down at the ground below they were already what looked like miles up in the air. "So, just make a fine mist sounds easy enough." Kiera said giving Leda a slight smile as she held out her hand and closed her eyes. She started to try and concentrate, when she didn't get it the first time, as some water shot out of her hand and over the edge of the ship.

Kiera started to relax her shoulders a little bit, before she could feel a fine mist starting to blow against her face and then watched as it started to shine through the sunlight to create the little rainbow and she couldn't help but smile a little bit more at it. "So, after I say those words then whoever i'm trying to contact will appear?" Kiera asked, this was still all new to her completely and she wasn't sure how an Iris Message actually worked Kiera watched Leda fishing out a drachma. Smiling a bit and nodded her mother was back in Florida anyway before speaking again. "Oh Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, please accept my offering."

Alannah smiled towards Mary and nodded towards her. "I didn't make the Argo II, but I remember that the original creator Leo Valdez used Nintendo Wii remotes to control the ship. It was really weird, so seeing the designs I made my own little changes so it wasn't really weird or anything." She said, this was her and Lauryn's baby and she was proud at making it different and a lot bigger as well. "But if you do find that we somehow do need to manually control the ship, the joystick will lower the altitude or move the altitude up as well, or if you want to make a turn to."

Kristin Reynolds

Location: On the road again.
Skills: N/A

"Basically Zekey here is our resident cleric or something if you ever played D&D before or if you have heard of it." Kristin said as she pushed her backpack down under her seat. Once everyone was on the bus they were all off, watching them slowly starting to leave the city, Kirstin was always a little bit paranoid riding public transit. A monster always did find ways to either get onto the bus or even go as far as try and get it to come to a complete stop. "Oh and don't be afraid to smack Zeke around if he pisses you off, he is a bit of a pain in the ass to everyone really." She said, remembering their quest together with Leda that was a pretty interesting one

Kristin listened to Janelle when Zeke asked about her accent, feeling bad hearing what had happened to her parents dying she wasn't going to prod her about it really unless she really wanted to. "So, why did you volunteer for the quest anyway?" Kristin asked Janelle figuring that it would be a good place to start, and not to many first year campers ever did volunteer to go out on a quest let alone anyone who had been in camp for less than a day.

Madalyne Crane

Location: Camp Jupiter, Senate Building
Skills: N/A

Madalyne turned her attention immediately towards Nancy and quickly wrapped an arm around her seeing the five sets of cards spread out, she still didn't really understand the tarot cards. But hearing the tone in Nancy's voice the visions didn't sound good at all either, she looked at Niah and nodded towards her. "Thank you." Madalyne said as Niah went to get the other senators again to reconvene the senate meeting. "What did you see Nanc?" Madalyne asked as she helped her friend back over towards her seat and sat back down, some of the other senators groaned when they were requested to return back to their seats.

It wasn't often that they had to reconvene again just after finishing their session not to long ago for lunch. Madalyne shot Leandra a little bit of an annoyed glare at her, but she didn't say anything before looking at Niah and the other senators within the room. "I am sorry we have to reconvene again just moments after we were going off to our lunch break, but this is important." Madalyne said as she sat down adjusting her purple cloak, slightly while looking at Nancy, knowing that her friend didn't like being put on the spot so suddenly.

Demetri Rowan Howell

Location: Ship: Top Deck
Skills:

"Hey, its Skyguy." Demetri called out to Leda as he followed Alannah and Marygold into the control room. There wasn't a wheel or helm or anything like he had anticipated. Looking around the room he was a bit surprised to see screens, joystick, and radars. He was constantly reminded that this wasn't the same as the life he previously lead. Demi-gods with powers able to use strength instead of smart to stave off some birds, flying ships made of wood that were piloted by a joystick with a screen display. He walked around the front of the screen as Alannah gave her explanation and Mary summed up what it was that was stated. The new information was what got him to thinking though.

"So you say the joystick can control the ship, but what're the controls like? Is it an inverted pilot control or is it non standard piloting controls where up is up and down is down? Also I appreciate the fact that you chose not to use wii-motes but why not switch over to a Wii-U pad or Switch screen so that the pilot can take the screen with them and monitor from multiple locations than just this room? Not to put down your design I'm all for retro arcade systems but just a thought for the Argo IV. Speaking of...what happened to I and II? Did the campers make it or...?" At this point Demitri was leaning against the wall staring at the blips fly away and making sure nothing else approached the ship.

✨ Rebecca Eventide ✨

Location: Argo III - Upper Deck -> the Galley
Skills: Mystiokinesis

Rebecca smiled brightly, pleased to see that Andy was interested in learning to manipulate the Mist. Not all sorceresses were children of Hecate - perhaps the daughter of Zeus would hone her skills in the art of magic. She tilted her head slightly, like a cat, as Arthur asked her about her mother. "My mother is Hecate, the Triple Goddess. She is the queen of witches, ghosts, and the night, goddess of crossroads, the Mist, witchcraft, and trivia. Fun fact - my mother is actually a titan, the race that came before the Olympians," Rebecca explained. "All of my siblings learn to manipulate the Mist and to use magic - to have the gift of necromancy like I do is somewhat rarer. I've been studying the craft for five years, more or less."

She motioned for the two young demigods to follow her, before heading down below deck to the galley. She figured that it would be a decent space for them to practice. While she was going to teach both of them different skills, Rebecca decided to begin with Andy and manipulating the Mist. Perhaps Arthur would like to try as well, but it at least allowed him a bit more time to get into an appropriate headspace before summoning the dead. Rebecca concentrated for a moment, having a bit of difficulty, before she snapped her fingers and a whoosh filled the air. The tables in the galley now appeared for Andy and Arthur to be laden with numerous types of junk food. "The key to manipulating the Mist is that you must make the illusions be what your victim desires, not what you desire. You must make your falsifications of reality more appealing than what is true... My siblings and I can even create hard constructs out of the Mist, though that takes years of study and practice."

"If you'd like, Andy, you can give it a go - create an illusion for Arthur and me."

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Argo III - Upper Deck
Skills: N/A

Leda brushed off the side eyes she got from Mary and Jason. She didn't care that Jason was Irish - yes, the Irish and the British have had a rocky relationship, but the same was true for the Greeks and Romans and here they were, flying across the country and risking their lives in order to warn them and get their help. She focused on Kiera, resisting the urge to do the stereotypical guy thing and guide her hands. "Smashing," she praised, as Kiera created the mist and made the offering to Iris. "Now all you need to do is either imagine or say the name of who you want to contact. So for us.... Mum, show us New Rome, will you please?"

The mist shimmered. The image of New Rome's Senate House appeared. There were senators in rather silly looking togas, with the praetors standing out as they each had purple capes on as well. Something pretty serious seemed to have been going on - but then again, Romans always looked serious. Leda strongly doubted they had any concept of how to have fun at all. "Hey there, mates. Us Greek demigods are traveling to meet you and discuss a troubling prophecy and some news, so please don't blast us out of the sky when we arrive," Leda said awkwardly, wondering for a moment why she hadn't made someone else do this, like Mary or Alannah or Lauryn.

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Location: New Rome - the Senate House
Skills: N/A

Nancy felt physically drained, completely wiped out. After having a prophetic episode, there was nothing more that she wanted to do than inject caffeine straight into her bloodstream, find a good album to listen to, and avoid the world. Unfortunately, given that they were prophecies, she never could just shut everyone out. Her conscience wouldn't allow her to keep all of this information to herself. Of course, her conscience said nothing about not losing her cool at Leandra Lovelace, Enemy Number One at Camp Jupiter and walking embodiment of everything wrong with the Senate (and perhaps, the United States as well). "Why do you have to be such a goddamn mega bitch?!" Nancy snapped, getting up to her feet even as her knees felt like giving out.

"Do you think this is a fucking joke? I don't have visions of pansy shit like who will be the next it couple here, something I'm sure you'd be more comfortable with. I saw titans, giants, and monsters standing in an alliance. Demigods dying. If you cared about something other than your nails, maybe that would tug at your heart just a little - but oh wait, you traded it to be a size zero slut. Thirteen demigods are all that's up against them - and for whatever reason, probably only known by the gods, you're one of them Lovelace."

"Anyone else have a stupid comment or can we start talking about how we're going to fight this?" she then snapped, daring any of the senators to say a single word. The air in the middle of the Senate began to shimmer, as an Iris Message appeared - a Greek device, something not used by Romans. A blonde girl and a ginger were on the other side and Nancy narrowed her eyes, especially as the blonde mentioned a prophecy.

"Typical. If the Greeks are involved, it has to be doomsday."

Ezekiel Kel

Location: Bus -- THE ROAD
Skills:

Ezekiel smiled slightly as Janelle was honest about the magic thing and explaining a bit of her background. Irish, that was pretty cool and Ezekiel somehow refrained from saying any of the typical stereotypes. ”I am sorry about you parents,” he commented. His mother was his world. He didn’t know what he would do if she died. ”Your brother seems cool though. At least you’ve got each other still,” he commented. Although, her brother did seem a bit like a prick but then again what Ares kid wasn’t.
Ezekiel shot a glare at Kristin. ”For the love of Aphrodite Kristin, it’s Zeke, Ezekiel or shithead. Not Zekey,” he ground out. Apollo called him that and he absolutely detested the childish nickname. He settled back in his seat and refocused on Janelle. ”She is right though. I am the camp’s resident shithead so don’t be surprised if I say something unbecoming. Feel free to lash back, I find letting anger out a great way to decompress and I live to serve. Right little miss sunshine,” Ezekiel said to Kristin with a shit-eating grin on his face.
”Also, don’t worry about being who you truly are at camp, Janelle. I’m the only one who is judged and judges. We all come from different places and backgrounds and none of us are normal. We are demi-gods after all and that’s pretty messed up as it is.”

Andy

Location: The ship [Topdeck] -> the Galley
Skill: Mist control

Andy's shoulder's relaxed when the new guy apologized. She glanced at her brother, he looked upset, but she didn't suspect a fight would break out. She grinned at Arthur's joke but quickly looked at Rebecca to make sure she was okay with it. Rebecca didn't seem upset by it but was looking at Arthur with a smile still.

As Rebecca led them down the stairs, Andy took one more look at her brother. He had gone to check out the controls for the ship. He seemed okay. She let out a small sigh of relief. Rebecca was showing them how to do the magic and asked her to try. "Me?" She blinked, and thought about how she summoned Lighting. This would be different she decided. She could feel the lighting just slightly all around her all the time.

Closing her eyes Andy thought about a donut. She knew her favorite, but she didn't know what kind Arthur liked. How was she supposed to make a donut when she didn't even know what kind Arthur liked? She opened one eye and looking at the table saw there was no donut. Right, not what she wanted.

Andy licked her lips, and then chewed on it slowly. Instead, she thought about Arthur's smile, how he sounded when he spoke with his mouth full. Then thought of giving him a donut. Then she opened her eyes again to look at the table. Sitting there was a maple bar. She looked at Rebecca brightly. "I did it." Then she turned to Arthur, "Try it!"

Niah Bautista

Location: New Rome - the Senate House
Skills:

Niah stared at Leandra aghast at her comment. Obviously, they would not reconvene for something so trivial. "What-" She started to say but Nancy cut her off. Niah now stared at her as she screamed at Leandra. She leaned back a little, her face contorted a bit. Wincing. Niah sucked air through her teeth hissing. That was an extreme reaction, but Niah knew how much the prophecies tired her out. She shot Leandra a glare to keep her mouth shut as Nancy challenged her.

"Sorry Nancy, please, the floor is yours." Then there was a rainbow that appeared before them on the Senate floor. "Of course. Greeks." She sighed. "Can you tell us who else was involved in the prophecy so we can collect them for when the Greeks arrive? We should at least brief them before they arrive." Her tone dropped into a frustrated one, "And the paperwork should be done."

Leandra Lovelace

Location: New Rome - The Senate House
Skills: Charisma, Bureaucracy

As soon as Nancy said the word 'mega', Leandra knew it was she who was being addressed. But she didn't look up right away, choosing to continue looking down at her book, scribbling away on the page in blue ink. She hadn't intended to start anything, meaning innocence was on her side. To look up immediately would be, to some degree, an admission of guilt, and thus, a relinquishment of power. So she waited, listening, but acting like she wasn't, until around the moment when Nancy mentioned the dying of demigods. Leandra raised her head at that point, partially because she deemed it a good place to come in, but also because it troubled her. The demigods were her people, and if there was anything she cared about more than herself, it was her people. Still, her worry wasn't enough to push her out of her manipulation mode. Her face morphed into an expression of guiltless confusion, her head ever-so-slightly tilted and her lips in a slightly parted pout that was so precise one might assume it was rehearsed. She used her pen to point to her chest, as if to ask 'do you mean me?' As Nancy finished up, Leandra shifted from confused to a stern, her pout turning to a tight frown. Her eyes flicked to Niah as the girl gave her a glare of warning, and Leandra had to work to keep her frown from turning into a smirk. Did the sweet little Oath Binder think an angry look from her would keep Leandra down? Because it wouldn't. That was an oath she was certain she could keep.

"Nancy Parker, how very unprofessional," she said with the tone of voice a mother might use to chastise a child. Her hands delicately closed her book in her lap, and her thumb gliding over the top of her pen to click it, retracting the inky point back into darkness. "I do believe you are the first praetor in all of history to use time during a senate meeting to slut-shame a senator," her voice rose in pitch slightly, sounding almost as amused as she was annoyed as she went on. "And with the stereotyping too! Just because I am the daughter of a love god does not mean that I'm some romance-obsessed bimbo who goes around rating relationships. That's not how it works. After all, your father's the god of knowledge, and you don't know shit." She couldn't help but let a small smile creep up to her face as she finished speaking. So she hadn't been as restrained as she might've preferred, and her fellow senators appeared to remain neutral despite her words, but it felt good. She straightened up, letting her tense shoulders relax as her smile fell, her expression once again becoming serious.

"I don't doubt that whatever you saw in your daydream was important, Madame Praetor," she said, though, as was the case every other time she spoke the title, it seemed disingenuous, almost venomous. "But we can't just drop everything at the drop of a hat. If we allow these daily problems we deal with get away from us, then once we're all finished saving the world, we won't have a home to come back to." Once she finished, their bickering was interrupted by the shimmering image that appeared before the senate. An attractive pair appeared before them in the air like a magic Zoom meeting, a blonde girl and a ginger girl. Leandra raised her eyebrow in interest as they spoke. The development, while it would likely complicate paperwork, was interesting nonetheless. Something big must've been brewing to bring the two peoples together. The Greeks, from what she read and knew of them, were chaotic in nature. Even so, she saw no reason to burn a bridge before it was made. So, putting a pleasant smile on, she looked to the Iris Message.

"I'll make sure to get all the paperwork done and squared away," she said, half to the two Greeks and half to Niah. "This is unorthodox to be certain, but we'll make do." Leandra opened her book back up, before looking back to the Greeks, adding as an afterthought, "Oh, and we'd appreciate it if you landed outside of our territory. Last time a Greek ship tried landing in New Rome it...didn't exactly end well."

Arthur Stanford

Location:Top Deck -> The Galley

Arthur watched as illusions popped up in the room around him, Arthur was impressed. He knew of course, that they weren't real, but that didn't matter, he saw them, and that was surreal. Looking over the maple bar, a surprised look crossed his face. He couldn't tell the difference between it and something real. "That's very good Andy, let me give it a shot." Concentrating for a moment, he wanted to make a mist version of her, but nothing was happening. This didn't seem to be something he was preternaturally gifted at, but that was never something that stopped him before.

Trying again, he thought it'd be easier to make something smaller, thinking making a muffin would be funny, but he was incorrect. Try as he might, he couldn't get anything to show up. "How, do you do that?" He asked, visibly frustrated with his failures. He looked over to Rebecca, hoping for some kind of guidance. He wanted to be able to do things like that too, if only for the reason that it was extremely cool. Being able to make illusions at will would be fun, and he could only image the types of pranks he could pull if he could make people see whatever he wanted.

"Yeah, we luckily do 'ave each aother, dat's aboot all though, partially why we are so clahse. It kend o' became us against de wahrld," she responded towards Zeke as she shrugged slightly at Kristin's reference to Dungeons and Dragons. "I never played de game, boeht i do know o' it. And if I remember correctly, a cleric isn't exactly a bad din. In dat game de cleric is naht only a 'ealer but probably can stand to be one o' de better fighters in a group," she commented with a shrug. She only knew the basics of the game, but she out of boredom once did see about finding out a bit about the different character classes.

Hearing the question about why she chose to join the quest, she mainly just shrugged a bit at it. "I dahn't really know. typically a lot o' people dahn't dink I can do anythin considerin me lack o' eyesight, actually dat's usually most o' de time. I dahn't see me blindness as a weakness, but as a strength, sence I can 'ear things dat most people can't, sence when you lose one sense, your other senses wahrk in overdrive to compensate fahr it. I guess I decided to go sence I felt like I should do somethin."

Marygold Isley

Location: Flying Ship - Wheelhouse
Skills: N/A

Mary just listened to Alannah as she explained how things typically worked regarding the controlling of the ship. It definitely was a weird sort of setup, but she supposed it could be weirder. Especially considering the fact that as she was mentioning, the last flying ship had the controls of Wii remotes, which was a lot stranger. Nope, she was perfectly fine with the joystick controls. Of course, apparently Demetri thought he could do better when it came to creating flying ships and their controls and all of that fun stuff, which caused her to roll her eyes at him. Especially when he asked about the first two ships bearing the Argo name.

"Okay, first of all Demetri, shut up about acting like you could create the controls better then this. They are amazing and there probably are a million problems that could arise from those suggestions, like seriously! Secondly, let's talk about the first two ships titled Argo. I get it, you haven't been at camp too long to know what happened to the Argo II, well it was destroyed but pretty sure the people lived. Now... Here is what might make you feel like somewhat of an idiot, considering ever heard of a little group and story titled Jason and the Argonauts? No? That was the first Argo in the story of Jason and the Golden Fleece," she told him, before turning to look over at Alannah. "I love the controls, they seem simple enough for the most part to me."

Jason Gauger

Location: Flying Ship - The Upper Deck -> The Galley

Jason wasn't even really sure what to do at this point, regarding everything, considering Kiera and Leda were sending a message to Camp Jupiter (with a rainbow? Okay then) and Mary, Demetri and Alannah went to the wheelhouse to try and figure out the controls of the ship. Of course, he wasn't entirely sure what to do now at this point, since everyone else seemed somewhat busy doing something, so he decided to head back down to the lower decks. Eventually as he wandered around he found his way back to the Galley and saw Rebecca with the younger kids doing something.

"What are you all doin down 'ere?" he asked, a bit curious as to what it was that the group was doing in the galley. He noticed that Arthur seemed a little bit frustrated regarding something, he just wasn't entirely sure what it was. There seemed to be something going on, since it looked like Rebecca had created illusions or something like that, and he was a little curious as to what she was doing. Especially since he hadn't actually seen a lot of the powers that people had being demigods, unless you count Demetri shape-shifting in weird ways.

Lauryn came out of her room that she had picked out for herself a couple of minutes ago, and made her way down towards the galley again seeing Andy, Arthur and Rebecca there. Watching them doing their little magic show was pretty cool as she leaned herself up against the wall nearby looking at Rebecca. "That's a pretty nice spread you made there on the table." Lauryn said as Andy managed to create something as well which was pretty interesting, not to many people were good with controlling the mist other than the Hecate kids in their cabin, and then stared at Arthur who tried to summon something but he couldn't at all.

"Just keep trying i'm sure you are able to make something from the Mist." Lauryn said, she wasn't good with it she had tried multiple times but it never worked for her. Lauryn just simply preferred to make things in the forges in her cabin, something like the Argo III which was her baby as well. "Try and make a puppy or something Rebecca." Lauryn said looking at her and smiled a little bit she looked over at Jason and smiled towards him and eyed him up and down for a moment he was kind of cute, but didn't really say anything. "Rebecca is doing a little Harry Potter lesson for the young ones." She said giving him a bit of a smile. "How are you doing with everything so far anyway?" Lauryn asked him.

Alannah turned to look over at Demetri as he came into the room, she looked at Mary when she laid into him a little bit and gently settled a hand on her shoulder, letting her give the brief history of the other ships baring the name Argo. "What Mary said, the very first Argo pretty much was with Jason and the Argonauts. The Argo II which is what we designed the ship more from, was destroyed during the final battle with Gaia, the Seven are all alive and well still." Alannah said, as far as she knew they were all out doing their own thing probably in college from what she remembered some did visit every now and then.

"The joystick controls are standard default if you are playing a video game, so pretty much down is down, and up is up. As for why I got rid of the Wii system, you know the encounter with the bird monsters not to long ago? What if someone was holding the controls then they could easily be knocked off the side of the ship, or crushed." Alannah said as she walked over and then pressed a button on the wall, as some celestial bronze walls came from the ceiling and blocking the door before pressing the button again and they went up. "This way it keeps the pilot safe as well, and this acts as a little escape pod as well to in the event that this does get destroyed."

Kiera looked towards Leda for a moment when the Iris Message appeared in what looked like a massive meeting room, and seeing the group of senators there along with Camp Jupiter's Praetors there. They seemed to be in the middle of a meeting of some kind which she didn't really know, but they looked like they all were serious. Though she noticed they all were wearing togas she remembered her step father mentioning his many frat meetings a few times and they sometimes wore togas to their meetings or events.

"They look really uptight with sticks up their asses." Kiera whispered towards Leda, before turning her attention towards the blonde senator who was addressing them, she didn't remember what happened when the greeks and romans last met each other since she wasn't in camp for very long either. But from stories of the other campers they nearly went to war with each other or something like that. "Our camp leader Chiron wanted us to meet with you all about the prophecy that our oracle had witnessed not to long ago. But we can have our pilot land just outside of your guys camp if you'd like to." Kiera said while looking at Leda if she wanted to say something else.

Madalyne Crane

Location: Camp Jupiter, Senate Building

Madalyne quickly reached over gently resting a hand on Nancy's shoulder to try and calm her down a bit, she didn't really like Leandra at all in her opinion. But the people of New Rome voted her in much like she was elected for Praetor, they didn't have much choice but to deal with her sadly. "Prophecies are just as important, they inform us of future events we only have some of the fragments from the Sibylline Books. Which give prophecies for the future of the Roman Empire, we don't have an oracle like our Greek counter parts do, any prophecies we do get should be treated seriously." Madalyne said as much as she really wanted to sock Leandra in the face for insulting her friend she needed to act more like a leader right now. "The last major prophecy we had was the Prophecy of Seven which almost brought the return of Gaia which would have destroyed the world." Madalyne said, though it was way before her time in Camp Jupiter she read whatever she could before becoming Praetor.

A few seconds later there was an Iris Message appearing in the middle of the floor of the Senate building, turning her attention towards the greeks one was a ginger and the other was a cute blonde. Letting out a slight sigh she wasn't sure what it would mean for the citizens of New Rome seeing a bunch of Greeks coming out of the blue. Sure they did allow those who were old enough to come to New Rome's university to study this did feel a bit different. For once she did have to agree with Leandra that having a ship appear in New Rome didn't turn out so well last time. "I hate to agree with our senator here you are welcome to come to Camp Jupiter, but you cannot land your ship in the vicinity of New Rome or Camp Jupiter itself, we will make a landing pad for you to land by the time you all get here." Madalyne said to the two Greeks who were there, as she could hear some of the senators talking amongst themselves.

"Oh no, i'm going to keep calling you Zekey since it gets really under your skin." Kristin said with a smirk as she rolled her eyes being called 'little miss sunshine'. It was something her grandfather did always call her which she didn't really like at all since her grandfather was an asshole really. "And don't call me that, i'm not a daughter of Apollo so yeah." Kristin said while listening to Janelle, as much as she wanted to also bash on Zeke's fighting skill he was a pretty skilled fighter after all. But she didn't say it out loud either, she didn't want to compliment him it would just inflate his ego to much.

She nodded a little bit and smiled glad to see that Janelle's lack of eyesight still didn't deter her from coming onto the quest. It reminded her of a pair of sisters from the show The Walking Dead in one of the more recent seasons there were a pair of sisters who were deaf and couldn't hear anything really. "It is a super power which is really cool actually." Kristin said looking at Janelle smiling a little bit, it was something that one of them said in the show. Kristin looked outside seeing that they were on the highway now, and then she felt the bus shaking a little bit, and then the bus started to come to a halt on the side of the highway which she found odd. Kristin's hand resting on her bracelet and started to go on alert.

✨ Rebecca Eventide ✨

Location: Argo III - the Galley
Skills: Mystiokinesis

Rebecca positively beamed, seeing the doughnut appear on the table. Not very many were successful in manipulating the Mist on their first attempt, especially if they were not descended from the Triple Goddess. Perhaps Andy's mother was a daughter of Hecate - she made a mental note to investigate that possible connection later. "You're a natural, Andy," Rebecca praised. Arthur struggled with it and she felt a pang of sympathy for him. Most of those skilled with the Mist did tend to be women - hence all of the lore regarding witches. "It's hard to explain it in plain terms... The Mist is a force that surrounds us, it is ever present... much like the Force in Star Wars," she thought.

"It's very much about your intuition and instincts, your inner self, almost reaching a point where your unconsciousness and consciousness meet," she tried to explain. "I'm afraid this is probably getting more confusing... But again, begin from creating illusions that your victims wish to see. For example, I would love to see a pretty necklace with a moon pendant. Perhaps Andy wants to see the game of Life. Lauryn may wish to see some shiny new tools."

She thought for a moment as Lauryn requested that she make a puppy appear. Maybe an addition demonstration was what they needed - at any rate, she had hoped to also use this time to teach Arthur about necromancy. Rebecca closed her eyes and concentrated, willing the Mist to change and form a three headed puppy. At first, nothing happened - the Mist was fickle. She relaxed and allowed her mind to go into a place on the edge of fury and serenity. A gorgeous three headed puppy then appeared in her hands, each head looking around excitedly. "Aww, he's rather cute," Rebecca murmured, smiling down at the dog. "Hello, little one."

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Argo III - Upper Deck
Skills: N/A

Leda snickered softly at Kiera's astute observation. "Romans are awfully full of it - acting like they're all that when they're the living embodiment of that meme about copying someone else's work and just changing it up slightly," she whispered back to Kiera. She didn't use a cell phone, she stayed at Camp Half-blood year round, but the Hermes kids tended to make sure everyone was informed on the latest memes. The Romans all looked incredibly tense from what she could tell, though that was probably just their default mode. Everything was always military this, war that, completely boring in her opinion. She preferred the more free style approach to life of the Greeks. "Brilliant, we'll land outside of NRC," Leda abbreviated, NRC standing for New Rome City of course. She did it entirely on purpose to annoy the Senate.

However, she did not expect the brutal screaming fest by the brunette with the purple cloak. With a temper like that, Leda could easily imagine her as a daughter of Ares - or Mars, she supposed - but her body was too petite and delicate. She was super cute though, with a poof haircut that reminded Leda of Stranger Things. Admittedly, Leda adored the drama of it all. She wanted to know and see more. What had the blonde girl done to make the brunette so angry? From the rant, it seemed like it had to do with the prophecy. The other girl in the purple cloak seemed a lot more calm. "So, is now a bad time to chat or... should we ring back later?" Leda asked.

She really wanted to see the little blonde girl lose her head too. This was the most entertainment she'd had in ages.

Every hero had a fatal flaw - something that if they did not hold in check would surely get them killed. For some, this was pride, the belief that they could do anything better than anyone, even the gods. Others were so loyal to their friends that they would sacrifice the world to save them. Nancy's fatal flaw was ugly - anger. There was always a level of rage simmering inside of her, but whenever she was truly set off, whenever she erupted, it would get vicious and cruel fast. She had a temper to match Bruce Banner's.

She shouldn't have exploded at Leandra - especially not in front of the Greeks. But Nancy wasn't able to control her fatal flaw. Not only was Leandra advocating for the endangerment of Camp Jupiter under the guise of maintaining the day to day wellbeing of the legion, she also had insulted Nancy repeatedly. "Leandra Lovelace, daughter of Cupid, Centurion of the Fourth Cohort," Nancy began, her voice with a dangerous edge to it. Had this been a cartoon, steam would have been pouring out of her ears. "You want to talk about having a Camp Jupiter to come back to? Then let's talk. We convene the Senate every three days to talk about the day to day well being of Camp Jupiter, New Rome, and the Legion. If your proposed budget cuts are so dire in importance that they must be talked about at the freaking emergency session of the Senate regarding a WORLD ENDING PROPHECY then why didn't you bring them up earlier today? Or the previous meeting? No, I think that they only came to mind now because you wish to undermine my authority as praetor. You were not elected praetor. I was. Deal with it. And if you really believe these budget cuts are key to talk about, then fine, let's talk about them. Let's waste our time for deciphering this prophecy. Every member of the Legion who falls, when their loved ones ask why we weren't more prepared for this, I'll be sure to tell them that BUDGET CUTS had to be discussed during the FREAKING APOCALYPSE SENATE SESSION!" Nancy roared. Her hands were curled into fists, her knuckles bright white.

Demetri Rowan Howell

Location: Ship: Top Deck
Skills:

Demetri mock stuttered after Mary spoke, practically spitting out the words 'Jason and the Argonauts' in a moronic way. The display was accompanied by a hand puppeted gesture as he if was calling her a dummy. He turned and adjusted his position on the wall as he rolled his eyes at her and scoffed. "Yes we've all heard the tale OooOoOoOo. That doesn't mean that that was the first Argo. Who knows how long this camp has been active and they may of just gotten cocky enough to call a ship The Bloody Argo. Hell they coulda named it Iccarus for all I care. I was merely looking to see if there were two ships before us that had perished or not. I only assumed that if there was a III then something had to of happened to retire the first two. Whether it was destroyed, broken, or hexes who knows? Id just like to know. But I appreciate your infinite wisdom, you may even give Kristin a run for her money eh?"

Demitri bounced his shoulders off the wall, lifting him off of his as he nodded towards the entryway where the bronze plating had come and gone. "See? This is why you ask questions. Now I know that the reason they moved backwards into a more archaic format of gaming was due to the possible issue of loss of flight controls should an attack ever happen. As well as the fact that they could be easily damaged. Its brilliant really, as are the bronze shielding. Now is there some form of alarm button that we could hit in the event we should tell the crew to evacuate into this escape pod? Or are there others for each cabin? You know, incase we aren't the ones piloting the ship."

Andy

Location: The Galley
Skill:

Andy was so excited and proud of herself. She felt a swell of warmth in her chest at Rebecca's praise. Though, she was sad that it didn't seem like Arthur could use Mystiokinesis. Then the guy who had pushed her brother down had joined them. Andy didn't understand what had happened between her brother and this guy. She was frustrated. But Rebbecca made a three-headed puppy and puppies are great distractions for 10-year-old girls.

Andy's eyes got wide and for a moment she was very much the ten-year-old she actually was. "Oh! A puppy! Like uh..." She paused trying to remember Cerberus' name. "Uh, Cerberus. Right? Can I pet him?" She also frowned a bit. "What is Star Wars?" Another thing that Andy had missed between foster homes and living on the streets.

Niah Bautista

Location: New Rome - the Senate House
Skills:

Niah winced as the argument got out of hand. With the Greeks right there watching. This was not the time and place, okay it was the place, but it definitely wasn't the time. She took a deep breath. Much like Nancy, she had her own flaw, and Niah's was her loyalty to her friends. She would die to protect them. Nancy had become a friend so many years ago. Niah clenched her hands, unknowingly mirroring Nancy's hands, her bracelet shifting reminding her exactly why Nancy was her friend. Leandra's outburst would not stand.

She turned her attention up to the Iris Message. "Thank you for warning us. When should we expect you?" She hoped that the Greeks had been smart enough to give them ample time to get prepared for their arrival. They had been smart enough to warn them, more than last time.

Of course, Leandra's distraction was just that a distraction. Nancy hadn't answered who else was in her vision. Leandra could do the paperwork all by herself if she was going to bait Nancy like that. "Leandra, if you survive this quest I will be putting in a formal complaint, and request for impeachment."

Ezekiel Kel

Location: Bus -- THE ROAD
Skills:

”You’re still a five-year-old,” Ezekiel declared when Kristin refused to respect his wishes and not call him something else. Honestly, he told her to call him shithead and she still wouldn’t budge. Ezekiel focused on Janelle for a moment and smiled a little more. He could understand the need to prove others wrong and that one was worth something more than just their weaknesses. The more she spoke, the easier he was at understanding her but there were still a few words he would get caught up on because of her accent.
The bus started to shake as it started to slow and pulled over onto the side of the highway. Ezekiel shifted and looked around them, his hand pulling out the sun pendant that he kept in his pocket. ”Seriously hate this part of quests,” Ezekiel said. He wouldn’t mind killer horses again but he wasn’t sure he wanted another Manticore or anything with poison. Ezekiel tried looking out the window to see if there was anything lurking out there. They hadn’t been out of the city for very long it seemed, so stopping this early could not be good in any circumstance.

Leandra Lovelace

Location: New Rome - The Senate House
Skills:

Leandra felt a twinge of annoyance when Madalyne voiced her distaste for agreeing with her, though she didn't show it, instead keeping the smile she put on for the sake of the Greeks plastered on her lips. She had hoped that the praetors, or at least Madalyne, the more reasonable of the two, would put aside their less-than-friendly relationships with her in order to present the Greeks with a united front. But by the looks of it, that was going to be out of the cards. Leandra was less surprised by Nancy's continued outburst, though just as annoyed. Her smile sat stagnant on her face, right up to when Nancy mentioned the praetorship, at which point it dimmed to a small, tight-lipped smile. That one did sting ever so slightly, though it was in no way a killing blow that ended their little conversational combat. She began to feel the familiar tightness in her chest of her own, more well-contained anger, both at Nancy and her reminder of the bigotry still existent in New Rome.

"If you'd like to discuss the discrimination towards the descendants of minor gods and our unclimbable social structure kept in place by the cohort system that both led to your election, I'd be perfectly happy to do so...during our free time. But that is not a matter that is to be discussed at a senate meeting, much less in the presence of possible future allies," she said in a scolding tone, nodding her head towards the Iris Message. She turned her head ever so slightly, as if preparing to speak to the Greeks, before twitching it back towards Nancy. "Also, if you must know, I wasn't planning to review finances until after we were done discussing what is to be done about your vision, a fact you'd have all too quickly discovered had you stayed professional rather than leaping at the opportunity to attack me on the basis of a passing comment."

By the time she was done speaking to Nancy, she felt like a blood vessel was about to pop. Her teeth were clenched behind her forced smile, and the slightest bit of anger was beginning to shine through her. And then Niah spoke, and all of that faded away. Her tense shoulders relaxed, and she let all the annoyance at Nancy drain out her nostrils in a light huff. It rose Leandra's spirits for Niah to make such a threat without any ground to stand on. After all, she'd simply been defending herself. It offered her some control that dealing with their chaotic praetor did not often come with. Her smile became less stressed and more genuine as she nodded.

"Of course, Madame Oath Binder. It'd be my pleasure to help guide you through the process." The edge was gone from her voice, replaced by calm civility. She then turned back to the Greeks, the pleasant smile still on her face. "I can't apologize enough for the behavior of my colleague here. Miss Parker is a very...passionate individual. It's a wonderful trait to have on the battle field, but she's yet to learn how to keep it in check when needed," she said, having the audacity to use a tone one might use when teasing an old friend, ending it with a small chuckle. Her next statement was directed at the Greeks, but her eyes flicked towards the other senators. "I do believe it would be best to discuss this matter here, in the privacy the Senate House rather than an open field outside of New Rome. As such, I'd like to volunteer to go down with a few of my Legionnaires and escort the Greeks' representatives here myself, as a show of good faith."

Janelle Gauger

Location: On the road
Skills: N/A

Janelle listened to the other two, just trying to figure out what to really expect about being with the other two based on their current conversations of sorts between each other. Of course, she didn't really know either of them all that well, and was mainly learning things as she went. "You two sound like you are best o' friends wit de way you tease each ahther," she said somewhat sarcastically to the two of them, giggling somewhat. It was a bit funny in her mind, almost reminded her of the way she and her brother would sometimes tease each other.

When Kristin mentioned her hearing and senses like a super power, she just sort of shrugged. "I mean, considerin de fact dat I've never seen anythin in color, makes the dreams I 'ave more interestin. Sence I can imagine things in strange colors sence it is de only way I really see de world truthfully. But I can see 'ow me senses might seem dat way," she said simply in response, before hearing Zeke's words regarding being on a bus on the road. "I've never really done too many road treps, so guessin dis is goin to be a lahng ride."

Marygold Isley

Location: Flying Ship - Wheelhouse

Mary just about clocked Demetri over the head for his patronizing tone. He had been the one asking stupid questions, he had been the one trying to make adjustments to a ship that was already pretty cool and awesome. She also knew that some people weren't like Alannah and probably would have been insulted by Demetri's words, and she really was getting tired of the guy at this point. Now she was really hoping she could have been on watch with literally anyone else. He was really starting to bug her, and she was going to be stuck here for the next few hours or whatever.

"What was that Demetri? Was that the sound of you trying to back peddle and act like you really knew something? Cause you just made yourself seem more like an idiot considering the fact that you are trying to pretend you actually knew something. And if you paid attention then you would have known about the Argo II since someone probably would have told you and what happened with that, since most people who are at camp know about what befell that ship. Oh but no, keeping stroking your ego and we'll see how long that goes on for," she said in a bit of a sarcastic voice, rolling her eyes towards him.

Jason Gauger

Location: Flying Ship - The Galley
Skills: N/A

"I never really read those books, or watched de movies, though pretty sure Janelle 'ad a cahpy or somethin o' each book in de entire series," he said with a shrug, since he only really knew the basics of Harry Potter, though he knew enough since his sister at one point wouldn't stop talking about the books, so he knew more then he would care to admit. "Though I will say, that is kind of cool what they're doing," he told her as he glanced over at Rebecca who had managed to summon up a puppy with three heads.

He then turned his attention to what Lauryn's second comment was, well, more of question really, and he had to stop and think about it for a moment. How was he doing regarding everything? He hadn't actually had time to really stop and process everything that was going through his head, especially since what happened that resulted in him and his sister going to Camp Half-Blood in the first place. "I think I'm doin alright, considerin everythin dat 'as been goin ahn, stell just gettin used to it all." he finally responded to her.

Argo III Crew Deck:

Lauryn watched as Rebecca managed to summon a rather cute and adorable three headed puppy in her arms, she hadn't really expected her to summon a three headed one, and just a regular puppy. But the three headed dog was pretty cool regardless as well, which she gave a slight smile. "That is actually really cute." Lauryn said, as her attention turned over towards Jason as he answered her question and gave him a slight smile. "Though our lives do tend to be dangerous a lot of the time, like those birds that we had to fend off not to long ago, there really isn't a dull moment." She said as she ran a hand through her hair as she made her way over towards a nearby cabinet and grabbed herself a glass of water and drank from it. "So, how about a game so we all can get to know each other sound good?" Lauryn suggested, looking over at Rebecca, knowing her pretty well already being in camp for awhile and all that.

Kiera Donovan

Location: The Argo III, Upper Deck

"Or maybe they actually have sticks up their asses and actually like it?" Kiera whispered back to Leda and giggled slightly as she turned to watch the scene unfolding in the Senate floor. It reminded her of a scene from the Jerry Springer Show, looking over at Leda, she wasn't sure if she did actually watch the show or not in the first place either. "This reminds me of the Jerry Springer Show, if you ever seen it, it's really funny to." Kiera whispered again turning towards one of the Senators who asked when to expect them, and thought for a moment.

"I think our flightpath says somewhere between two to three days maybe." Kiera said remembering that they were going to be making two stops along the way, the blonde senator who continued to speak really reminded her of Cersei Lannister from Game of Thrones quiet a bit. She didn't really like her from the way she spoke just sounded more like someone who was manipulative in her own opinion. "We would be fine with the escort, just give us a landing site." Kiera told them.

Alannah rolled her eyes a little bit looking at Demetri, he was starting to sound a little to much like Zeke, which really annoyed her a lot of the time. "But like I said the first Argo, probably lost many years ago since it was way back in ancient greek times while searching for the Golden Fleece, The Argo II was destroyed during the fight with Gaia." Alannah nodded to Demetri and gestured to a button just under the table. "That's the alarm for the entire ship, and the stalls back down in the engine room when the evacuation order is given turn into escape pods to in case the ship gets destroyed or to damaged. Anything else?" Alannah asked the two of them.

Madalyne Crane

Location: Camp Jupiter, Senate Building

Madalyne's hands clenched slightly as she listened to Leandra as she spoke she was really and truly getting on her nerves now at this point as well, and wanted her out of the Senate Building right now. She had pissed off her best friend and fellow Praetor as well which made her even more angry as well. Listening to the two greeks on the other end when the redhead told them their ETA, and shook her head slightly towards the blonde. "No it is completely fine." Madalyne said, before turning her full attention back towards Leandra and stepped more to the center of the room.

"As your Praetor Leandra, I am going to order you to be SILENT, for the remainder of this emergency senate meeting." Madalyne said, it was a direct order, from one of the leaders of the Legion. She stared at her, she wasn't going to allow their leadership to be questioned right now. "And I will grant your request to be their escort once they land just outside of Camp Jupiter, your cohort alone will be the ones to create their landing site as well, and your cohort will tend to whatever the Greeks need during their time here." Madalyne said looking over at Nancy giving her friend a soft smile. "If you are up for it, please tell everyone here what you had seen in your vision, you have the floor when ready." Madalyne said.

"Sorry folks, this is going to take sometime please remain seated until the issue is resolved." The Greyhound bus driver said, as he went and got out of the busy and went to inspect the wheels. Kristin had her hand over her bracelet just in case and was on alert while looking at Zeke and rolled her eyes. "And this is why you will always be called Zekey to me." Kristin said as she looked at Janelle if she had a drink she'd be spitting it out right now, she really did not like Zeke like at all really. "Yeah, no he's just one of those really annoying gnats that fly right in front of your eyes or something." Kristin said shaking her head slightly.

"Just stay on alert, i'm going to go and check it out real quick, come or stay up to you guys." Kristin said looking at Zeke, for a second "I'll be right back." Kristin said as she started to make her way off of the bus, the people on the bus seemed to be more annoyed than anything. The bus driver seemed to be a little bit to busy inspecting one of the tires, Kristin looked at one of them and kneeled down seeing what looked like an arrow was lodged into it.

Rebecca nodded, continuing the Mist illusion of the dog. "Yes, you can pet him," she told Andy with a smile. "Star Wars is a sci-fi fantasy saga... In simpler terms, magical warriors called Jedi are facing a cruel and indifferent space empire." It was an oversimplification, but Andy was young. Perhaps someone at camp would have a copy of the films and a working system for Andy to watch them on. It'd be nice to give the young daughter of Zeus something normal.

She tilted her head slightly, noticing that Arthur was rather quiet. They would have plenty of time for her to begin to tutor him in necromancy. Lauryn's suggestion that they play a game to get to know each other could be nice, especially since Arthur was no doubt still processing the death of his half-sister. "A game sounds fun - perhaps two truths and a lie?" Rebecca suggested. She had been at camp for a while now, staying there year round, but she remembered having to play icebreakers like those at mortal school when she was little. They had been annoying, but Lauryn was likely right. The three new, fresh faced demigods could probably use that sort of game right now.

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Argo III - Upper Deck

Leda gasped as the other brunette informed the blonde girl - Leandra - that she was going to be putting in a request for impeachment. She didn't know what impeachment meant, but the drama coming over the Iris message was positively delicious. It reminded her of Downtown Abbey. She half expected someone to start taking out a cane and hitting people with it, all while saying fanciful turns of phrase such as Well, I never! and I do declare!

The bit about discrimination towards the minor gods did sting - Leda hated it when people saw her as less than just because her mother wasn't an Olympian. She didn't know how Rome's hierarchy worked, but if that was the case, then that was just another reason to dislike the Romans. However, every other word that came out of Leandra's mouth reminded her of snake venom. From what they had overheard from the Iris message, Leandra and Miss Parker were fighting over whether or not they should discuss an ominous prophecy or budget cuts? Had she understood that correctly?

"Sounds grand," she said, referring to getting a landing site. Part of her was very excited that Leandra was going to be the escort, just since there was bound to be more tea to spill there. Another part of her was irritated - Leandra struck her as incredibly manipulative. "We're going to pop off, then. Lovely chatting with you all. Definitely enjoyed the entertainment. Also, blondie? You seem like a bit of a bitch, minor god thing aside. Might want to work on that. Ta!" Leda then waved her hand through the Iris message, ending it. She was giggling like mad.

Nancy was a fiery ball of pure rage and anger, mirroring her father's crueler traits. Apollo wasn't just the Roman god of medicine - he was also the one that brought plagues and disease, destroying towns and potentially civilizations. It was taking all of Nancy's self control to not scream and use her demigod abilities to amplify the sound until Leandra's head exploded. She barely heard Niah inform Leandra that she was going to begin impeachment proceedings on her. The praetor wasn't a huge fan of all the bureaucratic nonsense the Senate had going on, but impeaching Leandra was something she supported wholeheartedly.

Leandra then back pedaled so fast that Nancy almost got conversational whiplash. The Senator was now asserting that Nancy only became praetor because minor gods and their descendants were discriminated against? That was complete bullshit. Nancy had been elected praetor due to her success in retrieving an important magical stone from a dragon with Niah and Madalyne roughly a year prior. Apollo hadn't had anything to do with it. The only thing he had ever done for her was write her a letter of recommendation for the First Cohort and give her the tarot cards to help manage her curse. Hearing Leandra discredit everything Nancy had done, as if her accomplishments weren't her own... It just fed her anger even more.

But then Leandra had to make her out to be a barbaric fool to the Greeks. The laugh was the last straw. Had Madalyne not ordered Leandra to be silent - one of the abilities of the praetors and one Nancy kicked herself for not using already - she would have called for a vote for Leandra's immediate probation from the Senate. A quick glance around the room saw that half of the Senate was silent, yet the other half seemed to be in agreement with Nancy and Madalyne. Good. Even the Greeks seemed to be in agreement, with the blonde making a comment about Leandra before the Iris message ended, leaving them alone in the Senate House.

Nancy took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. "Now with that minor grody little problem dealt with... The prophecy." Her hands started to shake again, forcing herself to go back through the images - she didn't have any trouble recalling them. They were burned into her psyche. She looked down at the cards she had drawn.

"I'll start with the vision," she said, her voice heavy and serious. The anger was replaced by concern, worry, and even a bit of fear. "I saw a battlefield. The air was thick, heavy, and smelled like farts. A ship in the distance was being wrecked... probably the Greeks ship, actually... Titans, giants, and monsters stood together against a group of thirteen demigods - fourteen if you include myself. The Romans I saw were my fellow praetor Madalyne, Niah, and... Leandra... All of these demigods were chained up at the shrine to Apollo."

She paused for a moment, before continuing. "The cards that I pulled range from the past, the present, to the future... In the far past, I drew the High Priestess, reversed. That card deals with secrets, disconnected from intuition, withdrawal and silence. In the past, I drew the Lovers, also reversed. That usually means self-love, disharmony, imbalance, misalignment of values... In the present, the now, the Hanged Man. Feeling trapped, confined, self-limiting, uncertainty, lack of direction, needing release, letting go.... In the future, I drew Death. This doesn't necessarily mean we'll die, but it deals with endings, change, transformation, transition... And in the far future, the Tower, meaning danger, crisis, destruction, and liberation... Sometimes also unforeseen change."

Nancy's heart was beating furiously. "Taking the cards and my vision together, this is the next great prophecy - the next crisis, combining the threats faced by the Seven with those we fought in the Titan War... A crisis is coming. With the Greeks on their way in a ship, I think it'll be soon. We need to drill the Legion, do harder War Games, anything to give them a fighting chance to survive. Most of us in this room will probably be dead by the time the prophecy runs its course. I don't mean to scare you but... it's just being realistic."

Andy pet the three-headed dog while Rebecca explained Star Wars. She wanted to see it now. Though she had no idea when she would get a chance to see it. Jason was hard to understand, his accent was thick. And Andy had to combat with the fact that she didn't like the guy since he had pushed her brother. She frowned. Did she want to play the game Rebecca was suggesting with him? She wanted to play with Rebecca and Arthur.

Rebecca seemed so cool and smart. She was neat and teaching her magic. Andy finally decided that if Rebecca wanted to play a game with Jason it outweighed her dislike of Jason. Thankfully she could guess the rules of the game from the name of it. She had to tell two truths and a lie about herself and the others would have to guess what was true and what wasn't.

"I'll play," she said. Then she considered what she could say about herself that they wouldn't know what was true or not true. "When I was eight I got into a fight with another foster kid and almost killed him with my lighting." A truth, one that was the whole reason she ran away from her last foster home. There had been no going back after that. Even though no one could prove what had happened Andy had known. She hadn't trusted herself after that around people.

"I got my dagger from a monster that attacked me in the woods in Pennsylvania." That was a lie. A homeless guy had given it to her, telling her that she was in a lot of danger but the dagger could keep her safe. That left one more truth. The first one that she thought of was too real. She did not want to share that with the others, especially Jason. "Heights don't scare me." That sounded like it could be a lie. It was true, but after she had fallen from the tree during capture the flag it was a reasonable fear to have.

There were some more words she wished to throw at Leandra but decided against it. Niah didn't need her help with the paperwork. Sure she hated the bureaucracy of it all, but she was capable of doing it. But Leandra was demeaning her. She had come in here all 'oh I want to talk about our budget' and then got defensive when they had called her out on using what was a war meeting for something that could and should be on the back burner. If they needed to talk about the budget that much that should have been in the morning minutes.

They had a few days according to the Greeks. That was good. It would give them time to prepare. Thankfully Mads had stepped in and told Leandra to be quite. Now was not the time. Her shoulders relaxed a little, it helped that the Greeks 'hung up'. Then Nancy told them about her vision. It looked like she had a part to play in the new great prophecy. Niah didn't want that. She wanted to just get through her ten years of serving the Legion and then move on. With six more years though...Nancy was right. The future was dim looking.

They didn't know exactly what they would be facing, but this was a war meeting. Niah's stomach growled. They were going to miss lunch, but decisions needed to be made before they could eat. "I'll organize an emergency war game for tomorrow. I think maybe one for when the Greeks get here as well. They will need to know how we fight." The way the Greeks fought was less than ideal. They were unorganized. If the two groups could fight organized and in unison they had a better chance of standing against the threat.
