Ezekiel Kel

Location: Bus Depot -- Washington D.C.
Skills: Enhanced Healing

Ezekiel sighed, turning his head up to the sky and mouthed the word why. ”Look, I’m sorry okay? Next time you follow a psycho into the bathroom I’ll come running in, sword swinging,” Ezekiel concluded. He watched the staff Janelle held turn back into a simple walking stick before Kristin announced Ezekiel could heal her. He still found it neat how everyday objects could be turned into something magical.
Ezekiel held his hand up to Kristin’s head and started to close up the wound. He didn’t get far but he did get the bleeding to stop. He shook his hand out, took a deep breath and tried again. Ezekiel got the wound to close some but not completely. ”It’s better. I can put a bandage over it if you want me to to keep it free from possible dibres,” he stated.
The girl groaned as Kristin kicked her and he shook his head, watching her hands be tied up. ”Oh good, I always wanted a hostage,” Ezekiel joked. He walked over and attempted to pick the girl up, she slipped out of his arms and landed back on the table. Ezekiel hung his head and sighed, exasperated. ”Let’s try this again.” He was a demigod for Apollo’s sake. He should have better strength than the average human and be able to carry a petite girl. Ezekiel scooped the woman up in his arms and held her completely on his second try. ”Alright, let’s get on the bus to fun town,” he said and headed back through the bus station to their bus.

"Oh." Andy said when Lauryn informed her that Gryphons liked fish. She wondered how she was supposed to have known that. There wasn't really a class on what to feed monsters. Or which ones were nice. There certainly hadn't been one in the mortal school she had been in before running away. That would have been a way cooler school if it had had it. She watched as the Gryphon ate the fish.

"Yeah, not sure why though. I was the only one out of the group that he let near him really, other than wrapping his wound and putting ointment on it." Andy shrugged. She really didn't get it. Then the alarm started going off. "Oh, sorry little...uh big guy. I got to go help protect the ship. I'm supposed to be on watch right now." She smiled at it and came out of the stall closing and locking it behind her. She didn't think it would be a good thing if he got out and tore through the barrels or something.

Andy hurried back to the topdeck pulling her dagger from its bracelet and looking to see what was going on. Thankfully the creature wasn't close yet. She went over to Arthur. "I have an idea to try. You can control metal right? Can you control mine? If so I wonder if I can channel my lightning through it as you throw it and hit more than one thing." She knew he didn't like fighting, but she hoped that if she made it a cooperative thing with her he'd be more open to it. Their lives depended on the fighting. As much as that sucked, she had learned that before joining camp. There was no going back.

Niah shook her head at Nancy and Mads lack of modern technological understandings, they had been at camp for four years. Though Niah wasn't much better, she at least understood the concepts. Niah hadn't left camp in what felt like ages. Getting out of there lifted some weight off of her shoulders she hadn't even realized she had been carrying. It was a nice sensation to be free from the rules and boundaries. Something that had to be odd considering who she was. She liked rules. It made the world make sense. But the oppressive life of being 'in charge' was something she didn't like.

Emily was holding onto Marco's hand as they walked. She rubbed her thumb a little along the webbing between his thumb and fingers and gently tapped three times. A cute way to say, without verbalizing, that she loved him. They really could be a gross couple. "Thanks for covering the Uber. Makes traveling a lot easier." Though Em was ready to think of the worst-case scenario that somehow their Uber driver was a monster.

When the Uber arrived Niah climbed in. She was the only one not wearing the armor, but she decided she'd put it on when the Uber dropped them off. She felt better about that decision when the driver didn't seem to notice that five of the six teens that climbed into his car were wearing Roman armor. It was made a smile creep on her face. She did love Mads skill with the mist. The driver also didn't seem to care that the six teens had gotten picked up near a major high way instead of somewhere sensible like a parking lot. Mortals really didn't care much, did they?

In the Honda, Emily made sure to sit next to Marco. She eyed Milo keeping an eye on him to make sure he wasn't going to get car sick or something weird like that. But she kept her hand in Marco's once they were settled in the car. The drive would be almost two hours. That was a whole lot better than the day or more (making time for food and monster attacks) it would have taken between busses or walking. Heck even on a bike it would be four hours. But a nice air-conditioned car sounded like a way better plan to her. They wouldn't have to worry about missing a connection or the ferry now. And miraculously the driver didn't seem to care that they were wearing armor, which meant he was most likely mortal.

Waverley Watts

Location: Caldecott Tunnel
Skills:

"The name Nancy Parker doesn't have anything to do with being the leader of a militaristic Roman cult either. Sometimes names are just names," Waverley chirped up from her spot third-wheeling beside the unofficial 'it' couple of the Twelfth Legion. As much as she'd been relieved to find out that Marco was able to handle their Uber, she couldn't help but feel a little guilty that she wasn't able to help. She didn't let it show though, primarily keeping quiet as they made their way through the tunnel.

When the vehicle pulled to a stop in front of them, Waverley scrambled inside, her guitar banging against the metal of the car in such a way that it would've most definitely sustained noticable damage were it not one of those magical instruments of invincibility. She squeezed into the far back of the van, getting into the left corner furthest from the front. It was a little awkward, getting there with a guitar strapped to her, but she eventually managed to fit uncomfortably in the seat, with her knees pressed against the chair in front of her and her guitar taking up most of her lap (and likely some of the lap of whoever she was sat next to). She felt a little claustrophobic bunched up there. While it was true that she could've transformed the guitar into something more portable, it probably would've meant she'd need to retune it once they got to their destination. This definitely wouldn't have been a problem if they caught a train.

"Um, excuse me, driver? Sorry, I didn't get your name, Marco over there was the one who called the Uber. Anyway, could you please put on some tunes?" Waverley called out with the confidence of a socially anxious seaslug. Due to the distance she'd put between herself and the driver, she had to raise her voice a little, which she couldn't help but feel a little awkward about.

Location: Caldecott Tunnel -> In the Uber

"Yes, I got the drop off location right. As for cash, almost no one uses that anymore. Most currency is virtual it seems." Marco had to chuckle a bit at what Nancy and Madalyne were saying but then he remember that the two were very displaced from the time they were use to, and he kept his laughter to himself. He was sure if he was a good forty years out of sync with the world he'd be questioning things as well.

Marco smiled as he felt Em tap the webbing between his thumb and fingers, and soon his own thumb traveled to the webbing between Em's thumb and fingers and repeated those three taps. Em, his rock, reminding him of the then and there, and that there was more going on. "No problem, sweetheart. It does make it easier, and less... likely for someone to notice something." He knew mortals that could see through the mist were rare, but it was not worth risking it. A bus could also easily be full of monsters, and instead of ending up at Mount Tam they would be causing a fight on State Rout 24, or heaven forbid the 580 or 101.

When the car pulled up, Marco let them load up the car and pick their seats first before he slid in last. He was still a gentleman in a weird way, letting the ladies figure out how they wanted to sit. He did try to make sure he got a seat that was close to the uber driver, and once he had secured that, he leaned in close. His focus shifted and he let the words work their magic as they flowed through the car and into the mortal's ear. "Thank you ever so much for the ride, good sir. If you could please do as my friend asked and put on some tunes, and then focus on the drive to our destination we'd much appreciate it. We really would not like to be bothered... and once we arrive at the destination, you know, you could easily just forget about us~" Marco let his voice drop to a bit of a purr as the words wove into the mortal's mind, the charmspeak working him over.

✨ Rebecca Eventide ✨

Location: Argo III - Upper Deck
Skills: Mystiokinesis, Spell Casting

Rebecca's eyes narrowed at Jason. It was clear that his problem was with her, most likely due to her mother being the one to kill a demigod that day. She wasn't entirely shocked for a child of Ares to be so thick and pigheaded. He knew so little about the world of gods and monsters, his advice to Arthur was foolish and impractical. None of them were normal. They were divine. She whispered some words under her breath, cursing Jason so that way the next time he raised his voice at someone, his nose would change to that of a pig.

She tilted her head, hearing a loud roar. Rebecca then averted her eyes skyward, spotting a fire breathing dragon moving through a cloud. There was the outline of another dragon, with the two of them locked in combat. Neither beast seemed to have any intent on attacking the Argo III, so Rebecca wasn't going to attack them. "I'll cast a protection spell, don't attack unless they attack us," she told the others. Dragons were such majestic creatures, she would hate to send one to the pit if it was not absolutely needed. Not every monster a demigod ran into ought to be killed. She pulled out her Book of Shadows, opening to a random page. It was a magic item, a gift from her mother. The page gave a description for a protection spell and Rebecca read it quickly, before whispering the incantation in Ancient Greek as she visualized a protective bubble encasing the ship.

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Argo III - Galley -> Upper Deck
Skills: N/A

Leda groaned in disappointment as the alarm went off, indicating that something was attacking them. Demetri's question had been more tame than she would have liked. It would have been better for him to ask Mary something embarrassing, although now it looked like he was just fishing for ideas of what he could turn into in order to mess with her. "We'll continue this after the heroics, yeah?" Leda asked. Hopefully the next round of questions and dares would be more fun. She then tugged down on her necklace, as the pendant transformed into her sword, Ultraviolet, and she dashed on up to the top deck.

She came up around the same time as Kiera and Demetri, giggling slightly as Demetri turned into a baby purple dragon. He looked a lot cuter like this. It was definitely an improvement. "What's your plan, cuddle the monsters to death?" Leda teased him, unable to stop herself from snickering. She didn't make any moves to go on the attack however, since the dragons were nowhere close to her range. And while she could probably technically use her rainbow powers to fly, she had never tried that before and she wasn't about to start now.

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Location: Caldecott Tunnel
Skills: N/A

Nancy looked at her friend sympathetically. It was nice to have someone else from the 80's around at Camp Jupiter, especially since she worked with Mads so closely as her fellow praetor. Despite time still advancing in the Lotus Hotel and Casino, Nancy never really got a hang of modern technology. The arcade systems and everything hadn't changed all that much, unlike the phones. She climbed into the Uber, taking a seat next to Mads. She rolled her eyes slightly at Waverley. "Okay, but my dear old mom didn't know what I would grow up to be. I think when you're naming a company, you should at the very least have some idea of what you're doing, so you can make something appropriate." Nancy didn't even try to make sense of the bit from Marco about virtual currency. It would just give her a headache.

Marco was already pulling his weight, whammying the driver with his Venus magic. Nancy just hoped that Waverley wouldn't be so lost when it came time to face the Titan. She didn't want to think about Emily's powers though, as Bacchus' domain sent a chill down her spine. The very thought of the wine god sent her back to that day in Vegas. She could almost feel the hands gripping her arms, pinning them down to her side, as another forcibly ripped her bra off. Nancy jolted slightly, realizing that her breathing had become a bit uneven and she forced a smile. "Do you got any Joan Jett songs?" she shouted towards the driver.

Marygold Isley

Location: Argo III - Galley -> Upper Deck
Skills: Shapeshifting

"I feel like you are going to use this to be a stupid idiot later, but honestly snakes. Not all reptiles, but mainly snakes, never really cared much for them and had a sort of bad experience with one when I was younger out in my family's garden, now you have been warned, you try and mess with me using that and you are going to find yourself a one way ticket straight to the ground, you may be able to shapeshift but given your luck so far going to bet you are gonna fall a bit first, or I could just step on your head and crush you by accident out of reflex," she responded to Demetri's question with a shrug, before heading after the others up above to see what the hell was even going on.

Glancing up towards the sky, she caught a glimpse of the dragons, and then glanced over as Demetri changed shape into a very small (and adorable) baby dragon. Seeing that, Mary couldn't help but laugh at him, "As I said, you have terrible luck, how about I show you what changing into a real dragon looks like? Of course I'm going to take some liberties and not be a fire breathing dragon, I hate fire," she said, before she went over and changed shape as well. Soon, she was a red dragon, which was larger then Demetri's form, and she sent a blast of ice directly towards the dragons, managing to hit one of them, but it didn't seem to do much damage and she took off into the air, keeping close to the boat at least, "You do realize two dragons fighting are going to notice us rather quickly if I had to guess, so just hiding in a bubble isn't probably going to help," she couldn't help but comment to Rebecca.

Jason Gauger

Location: Argo III - Upper Deck

To say the fact that he was glad that Arthur didn't seem to be in a somewhat bad mood anymore or whatever and seemed to understand how things more or less world worked was a bit of an understatement. At least he and Rebecca didn't seem to be having too many problems anymore (hopefully anyway), so at least now they could potentially coexist. When there was the sound of a roar, he glanced up to the air, and looked to try and see if he could see where it was coming from. "Am I de ahnly one wahnderin what de 'ell dat was?" he asked as Alannah sounded the alarm.

He was still looking around trying to figure out what the hell was out there as he pulled his own sword out and the others eventually joined them. That's when he saw what looked like dragons in the air, and the next thing he knew, there were two dragons by them, one was a small little one, and the other was a larger, and if he was being honest one that actually looked like a dragon and not a chew toy. "Dat is definitely naht sahmethin you see everyday, ded naht know dragahns were real..." he commented, not even sure who had shifted into the baby one and who had shifted into the larger one.

Janelle Gauger

"'ow about you bot relax and try naht to dink about what could 'ave 'appened. All dat matters is dat it dedn't 'appen like dat and we were able to knahck 'er ooeht cahld," Janelle said calmly, giving both Kristin and Zeke a bit of a smile as she spoke. The two of them arguing and fighting was not something that they really needed at the moment, not to mention they really didn't have all too much time for this sort of thing. She wasn't against the idea of bringing the girl with them, since they could question her a bit later regarding everything.

"Let's get goin den if we are goin to, though what should we say if sahmeone asks why you're carryin 'er?" she couldn't help but ask as she used her cane to more or less start navigating her way towards the bus. Despite being in an area she was unfamiliar with, Janelle was fairly adept at adapting and learning, managing to follow her hearing to find her destination with some ease. She hated having to potentially rely on everyone else to get to her destination, and she knew that as an adult she likely couldn't rely on that sort of help all of the time, it made her feel better to rely on her own abilities and no one else.

Kiera Donovan

Location: Argo III Upper Deck
Skills: Hydrokinesis

Kiera watched as Demetri shifted into a baby dragon, which she couldnt help but laugh slightly at the sight of it, seeing Demetri puff out a little bit of flame was kind of cute as well. "I dont think thats going to really scare anyone." Kiera said as she drew out her swords and watched Mary turning into a dragon as well, and fly up to attack one of them just as a magical shield appeared around the entire ship for protection. She wasnt sure what she could even do really, she didnt want to jump off she couldnt even fly at all which wouldnt well at all if she fell off.

"There are the ballistae that you can use, if you get a shot take it." Alannah said, as Lauryn finally got up as well seeing the scene unfolding before her. She went over and started to man one of the ballistae on the top deck, moving it towards the sky, but she couldnt get a good shot at all. The dragon that Mary had attacked quickly shifted it's attention towards her and turned around using it's spiked tail hitting Mary, knocking her backwards. The big dragon saw the attack as well turning it's full attention to the Argo III, breathing a massive wall of fire, the shield that Rebecca had made was looking like it would fail very soon.

Kiera looked at the massive dragon that had attacked the ship now, looked like it was a little bit closer now she started to summon a wave of water towards it, but didnt even really make it far at all. On the fourth try Kiera managed to send another managing to knock the dragon out of her eyesight.

Madalyne Crane

Location: Uber Ride
Skills: N/A

Madalyne looked over towards Waverly for a moment mentioning Camp Jupiter being a militaristic cult she shook her head slightly. "It's not really a cult, the Roman gods and Camp Jupiter have always existed for a really long time." Madalyne said towards her as she leaned back in the seat and gave Nancy a slight smile as her best friend sat down next to her. Sitting in the strangers car was a little bit weird, as she looked around there wasnt any kind of taxi meter or anything, which was really confusing. "So, what is virtual money anyway?" Madalyne asked Marco looking over at him and Em for a moment.

The driver looked over towards Marco as he used his charmspeak on him and nodded, once everyone was in the car he pulled out and started to drive down the road now. "Sure thing you guys." The driver said as he switched to an older station, and luckily there was a Joan Jett song that was playing, Madalyne made sure that she was strapped in and leaned back slightly seeing Nancy tensing up a bit. "Are you okay?" Madalyne whispered to Nancy so only she could hear.

"Thank you, and I should be fine as long as the bleeding has stopped." Kristin said as she thought about what Janelle had said and sighed a little bit. She took out her backpack and pulled out a spare shirt, and quickly moved towards Zeke looking at him for a moment. "I got her." Kristin said as she took the girl in her arms and then put her shirt over her tied up hands, looking at Zeke and then over towards Janelle as they got closer towards the bus. "Lets just pretend that she's our friend and got a bit drunk or something." Kristin said shrugging slightly that was the only idea that she could think of.

Luckily no one noticed as they moved towards the back seat of the bus, the girl finally woke up now and stared at the three of them, and tried to break free of the bindings and stared at them. "Let me go now!" She demanded, Kristin quickly moved her hand over her mouth for a moment. "Shut up, just answer our questions and we will let you go." Kristin said as the remaining passengers started to get on now as well.

Demetri Rowan Howell

Location: Ship: Upper Decks
Skills: Shapeshifting

Snakes? Simple, that was something Demetri could work with. But as soon as the cogs began to turn in his mind she threatened him if he ever used the information against her. If he had been human he would've thrown his hands up in defeat. Instead he just puffed smoke out his nostrils as she transformed into a Dragon and shot ice at the ones above. "Yeah i was avoiding drawing their eye or ire. But I suppose nows as good a time as any." Demetri dropped onto the deck of the ship his arms snapping back as his wings fused into his arms and his size began to grow enormously. His likeness was now that of Smaug as he beated his wings once, sending waves of air pushing down until he launched himself into the air to fly.

As soon as he broke out of Rebecca's barrier he breathed fire directly onto the neck of the dragon that had attacked the ship. It didnt seem to do much so he flew above the large beast and went to bite its neck. The dragon spun and tried to hit him with its tail but Demetri quickly craned his neck back and avoided the lash. He let out a thunderous roar towards the creature. "I'll handle this one if you want to handle the other." Demetri flew up and began to encircle the Dragon before him, stopping between his foe and the ships barrier. He beat his wings to send blasts of air towards the creature in hopes that it would fight back any flames that may be launched towards him. He changed his voice to boom and sound like Smaug as he proclaimed "I am fire! I am death!"

Ezekiel smiled at Janelle and chuckled a little. ”I’m afraid Kristin and I arguing with each other is a constant. It’s how we show love to each other,” he joked. He had walked a bit carrying the girl before Kristin took her and covered her tied up hands. They headed towards the bus now and Ezekiel looked back at Janelle. ”I wouldn’t worry too much. People don’t tend to pay attention,” he noted. Sometimes, depending on where you were, it wasn’t weird carrying an unconscious person around.
They got onto the bus and into their seats when the girl awoke. She shifted, trying to get free and Kristin quickly covered her mouth. Ezekiel shifted so he was closer to the aisle and could stop the girl if she tried to break away again. ”Why were you following us? Were you told to or do you have a message for us?”

Arthur Stanford

Location:Argo III: Upperdeck

And dragons were about where Arthur checked out. He kind of almost fell back in surprise, before feeling paralyzed with fear. His first thought? These things are too big to exist. Looking upon it, he almost didn't know how to process it. It was a massive, scary lizard that wanted to breath fire at them and probably eat them. What the hell was going on today? He was never attacked this often before, surely life outside of camp couldn't be this dangerous for demigods, they'd all be dead before they could even get there. They weren't even in a city or anything, they were in the sky.

Shaking, he didn't even think to throw his knife. It felt like that would be inconsequential at best, or piss it off at worst. It was too big to try to stab, it'd be like using a bobby pin on a blue whale. No, instead, he backed up from the dragon as much as possible, and started shaking when the dragon blew fire at them. This was terrifying, and his heart felt like it was going to beat out of his chest. If Rebecca hadn't put up the shield before, there was a good chance they'd all be dead by now. That realization hit him hard, and he had to actively keep himself from bursting into tears.

Dragons. Actual dragons. Andy's eyes widened. Fear tore through her, but she kept her wits about her. Arthur didn't though. She had to protect him. Andy moved to be by his side again. "I'm here. We can do this. We have to do this." She told him and reached out and put her hand on his shoulder. "I know you're scared. I am too. But we have to do this. If we don't fight where does that leave us?"

Andy remembered when she had gotten her knife by the strange homeless guy he had told her something similar. He had said that her life depended on her being strong. On her defending herself. Without the dagger, he had given her she would have died at least a few times since then. Her lightning didn't always work. She could only hope that against dragons it would.

Leaving Arthur, she made her way over to a mast and tried to climb up. She couldn't get a good enough grip. Fear wouldn't let her. She gave up and decided to just try to zap the dragons. She tried to draw in a good blast, but it missed the dragon completely. Andy took a deep breath and tried again. A lightning blast hit the dragon dead on. It kept flying but it looked hurt. She smiled proudly herself.

Niah had somehow ended up in the front seat. She didn't mind. She liked watching the road anyway. It was the part of her that liked knowing what was going on. It also meant she could keep an eye out for any monsters that decided to drop from the sky and blow up their car or some other horrible thing. She tensed and then released the tension from her body. Trying to calm down. She didn't even know why she was thinking of all the worst-case scenarios possible.

Emily smiled as Marco sat next to her. She watched him as he used his charmspeak on the driver. It was something about him that made him different. Not all children of Aphrodite could do that. It was a rare power. Similar to her control over madness. Not many had that gift either. "Well done." It made sense. They couldn't have the driver getting weird ideas from the group of teens in his car. At least her and Marco were eighteen so if anyone tried to stop them for being a bunch of delinquents they could pull the 'technically adults card'.

Ugh, adult... Emily's thoughts continued. The papers in her trunk mocked her. She had to get the applications out for college. She needed to talk with Marco first though. They wanted to go to college together so they'd have to find one that matched up with what they both wanted to study.

Niah glanced around, checking out behind them. Who knew maybe a monster was chasing the car? Or...She paused turned back around to face the front and pulled down the visor and used the mirror to watch. She didn't want it to seem like she was watching the car so she tried to act natural. It seemed like a car was definitely following them. "Hey, guys, not all at once, take a look back and tell me if you see the car following us." She said and looked back as if she was talking to one of the others in the seat. "I don't know how long they've been following us, but they changed lanes with us." She considered how they could get the driver to lose the tail, or confront them. "Should we see if the driver can lose them, or stop and confront them?" Her question was mostly directed at Mads and Nancy, but it was clear that anyone can answer.

"I vote to lose them if the driver can. We have a long day ahead of us, we should try to avoid a fight if we can." Emily said.

Location: In the Uber
Skills: Musical Mystiokinesis

"Doesn't matter how long it's been around. It's a self-sustaining commune in which all the members believe in the same deities. It's totally a cult," Waverley replied. A few seconds prior, she'd begun to pluck at the strings of her guitar, playing along with the music filling the car from the radio. She always felt less anxious when she was playing music, and the filter that so often kept her opinions from coming out got much thinner, sometimes disappearing entirely. "I mean, all money is...fake. It's just a concept, right? It's not like little pieces of paper with pictures of dead racists are actually valuable. They're just a representation of value. So...as technology gets better, virtual representations of the concept of money become the norm. Which is kinda inconvenient for those of us who don't really have methods of transferring that kind of money," she tried to explain to their praetors as she absentmindedly strummed her guitar. She didn't have a good grasp of the technicalities of virtual money, but she did her best to explain the basic idea.

When Niah mentioned the car behind them, the revelation made her forget the whole 'don't look all at once' part of Niah's statement, her head turning to look back over her shoulder. Sure enough, driving along behind them was a car matching their speed. She faced back forward, and as Niah began to lay their options out, Waverley's attention turned back to her guitar. She'd already been passively plucking at the strings in time with the music, but the plucking quickly became a full on cover, with Waverley's acoustic guitar blending surprisingly well into the electric guitar the one and only Joan Jett played through the speaker. When she sang, it was quiet, not wanting to distract the others from their planning.

"I hate myself for loving you
Can't break free from the the things that you do
I want to walk but I run back to you, that's why
I hate myself for loving you"

As she played, though, her mind was flipping through the index of the magical knowledge Madalyne had taught her. She did her best to separate out the aspects of a aspects of a spell, and then incorporate them into her song, but she couldn't manage it. She tried and tried desperately in her head to take the science and facts of the mystic arts and funnel them into her strings, but all it did was cause her to fumble the chords and stutter some of the lyrics. Out of frustration or perhaps stress, her mind suddenly went blank, emptying of any magical studies she'd been taught. When she played, it was from muscle memory, her body preferring to feel the rhythm over the stress. After a few more moments of playing, a far off pop interrupted her song. She opened her eyes, only realizing at that moment that she'd closed them, and looked behind her.

"Um...their tire just popped, so hopefully we'll be long gone by the time they get around to changing it," Waverley called to the front.

Marco sighed a bit as Waverly spoke. "Not really a cult when the gods are literally real and talking to us. Daily. Also it's not like we're being kept from our loved ones... I talk to my dad weekly. Cults totally don't let you do that." Marco was glad he was sitting in front with Emily, because he was rolling his eyes a bit. He knew Waverly had different view of the world, but he was not in the mood to entertain what she was talking about at the moment. He wanted to focus on Em, and not on the stack of papers and applications waiting for him when they got back from the quest. He was just about ready to close his eyes, rest for a moment when Niah spoke up.

He looked over to the driver again at that point and then let the magic flow through his voice again as he spoke. "If you don't mind speeding up a bit and making sure to lose whomever is on our tail, it would be much appreciated, but don't think too much about it. This is just a normal Uber ride... there is nothing weird going on at all. You can trust me~" He groaned a bit as he leaned up against Emily and squeezed her hand a bit. Using Charmspeak twice in one day was always a toll on him, since he had to not only channel the magic right, he had to pick out his words carefully. One wrong word and he could accidentally make someone a slave to him.

Marygold Isley

Location: Argo III - The Air
Skills: Shapeshifting

Mary rolled her eyes towards Demetri, since the guy was appearing to be more then a little bit dramatic with the theatrics. She had no time to really think much about his theatrics as she had been hit by one of the dragons and knocked backwards away from them, and another had started attacking the ship itself. Demetri was barking orders at her, and it annoyed her to no end. "You don't order me around Demetri, and are you seriously acting like I'm dumb enough to not attack the one that just swipe at me? How thick do you have to be to think that?"

In response to that, she flew back upwards towards the dragon and breathed a breath of ice towards the dragon and missed with her aim entirely. This was a bit of a downside with shapeshifting, not really being the best with whatever weapons or attacks you end up with. As if the world wanted to prove her point, she only managed to really land one hit on the dragon she was attacking, and ended up only freezing a bit of its tail. "Of course the world wants to make things difficult for me," she muttered to herself, seeing the dragon not really injured from her attacks.

Jason Gauger

Yup, they were fighting dragons, on a flying ship, and they were a bunch of children of the Greek Gods. And here he thought nothing would surprise him anymore, but clearly the world had to surprise him and prove that thought process wrong. He wasn't even really sure what he could personally do against a dragon, since in the few fighting skills that he had, they were meant for up close combat, not ranged. How the hell were they supposed to fight dragons? Then Alannah mentioned something about there being ballistae, and he shrugged his shoulders slightly at that. "Well guess I'll go to one o' dahse dings den..."

With those last words, he raced away from the rest of the group and instantly went to one of the ballistae, and he looked at the weapon as he was trying to figure out the best way to operate it. With a slight shrug, he took a hold of the weapon and aimed it towards the dragon that had attacked the ship, before firing it off. He managed to knick it in the wing, but the dragon was still in the air, and he went to figuring out how reloading the ballistae worked, before he loaded it again and fired off once more. This time, he landed a solid hit, his hit stabbing into the creature's side, and he went to see about potentially reloading the ballistae again.

"I was joehst askin, sence yes, i=I understand dat people tend to be oblivious to de obvious, boeht dat doesn't mean dat you shouldn't be prepared in de event dat sahmeone does ask," she responded towards Zeke when he commented about how people never seemed to pay attention. That was more or less just a given when it came to everything. She nodded her head when Kristin came up with a rather quick cover story for them to use, and she followed along after them onto the bus and to the backseat that was there. She was startled by the girl's sudden outburst of sound and she instinctively covered her ears.

"'ush please, we dahn't want to 'oehrt you, we ahnly want to really talk abooeht why you were attackin us, are you really dat surprise dat we defended ourselves? please, joehst tell us what it is dat you want if you dahn't mend, it would be appreciated," she said rather calmly towards the girl who had attacked them. She was being a bit blunt, but she also wasn't exactly accusing her specifically of anything. Janelle really just wanted to know why she had attacked them when they hadn't done anything to her, and was rather curious as to who the girl even was.

Kiera Donovan

Location: Argo III Upper Deck
Skills:

Kiera watched as the others quickly started to spring into action, though she noticed that Arthur was cowering in the corner and started to make her way over towards him and knelt down in front of him. "Hey, listen I know that you are scared and everything as well. But we really need you, okay?" Kiera asked him, she had known Arthur way before coming to camp and that felt like a lifetime ago as well that they were in the same classes pretty much. She started to make her way towards the nearest ballista and quickly mounted it as well looking at Jason as he started to use the one as well.

Getting the feel for the massive weapon Kiera swiveled the massive turret towards one of the dragons, and fired it, managing to land a shot into it's neck. Seeing the creature then starting to fall, she sighed to herself, glad that they wouldnt have to deal with that one anymore. The dragon that had attacked the ship took a beating as it stared at both Mary and Demetri and breathed a large blast of fire at the two of them. Both Mary and Demetri would get really bad burns from the dragon, the second dragon would swoop down breathing fire at the ship as Rebecca's shield finally failed, and one of the masts would start to catch on fire as well. Alannah had manned one of the ballistae as well and took a shot but ended up missing the shot pretty poorly.

Madalyne Crane

Location: Uber Ride
Skills: Mystiokinesis, Mist Control

"Again like what Marco has said, we are not a cult the gods are very much real I met our mother Trivia, as well as Mars himself to. And alot of the US government is based off of us Romans and Greek as well as some architecture of monuments around DC to." Madalyne said, Trivia was her mother and she was a Legacy of Ares as well from some distant family relative though she had met Mars at some point during her early years at Camp Jupiter. Her sword was a gift from him as well, Madalyne turned to look over her shoulder seeing the car as well, and then over at everyone else. She got a bit of an idea and then closed her eyes and started to focus, while their driver simply nodded. "Sure thing." He said, as he started to increase speed a little bit.

As Madalyne focused, a rather thick fog started to cover the streets as she opened her eyes somewhat looking over her shoulder seeing that the fog was pretty thick and leaned back slightly. "That should be able to help loose them." She said calmly, she was really good at what she did and enjoyed the practice as well. Madalyne turned her attention back towards Nancy gently resting a hand over her friends, seeing that she had been quiet still.

Kristin Reynolds

The girl glared at the three of them, giving them a really irritated look, if looks could kill they would be dead if she could kill them. "I'm a child of Circe, and Echidna wants the three of you dead, and the three of you will be dead and your quest is doomed to fail." She said simply as she turned to look out the window it looked like she didnt want to say anything else to the three of them right now. Kristin looked a bit worried, she remembered that Circe had a little resort of sorts hidden away in the Sea of Monsters. But it ended up getting destroyed by Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase many years ago during their quest to get the Golden Fleece.

Kristin looked at both Zeke and Janelle for a moment, it sounded like Circe was working alongside with Echidna which wasnt a good thing at all if Circe sent a child of hers after them. Kristin then leaned in looking between the two of them for a moment before whispering to them. "This isnt really a good thing." Kristin said to the two of them they needed to find Echidna and stop her as soon as possible.

✨ Rebecca Eventide ✨

Location: Argo III - Upper Deck
Skills: Mystiokinesis

Rebecca sighed as Mary turned into a dragon and went on the offensive, sending a blast of ice off towards one of the other winged creatures. They were bystanders to this fight and now they were direct combatants. She hated getting into quarrels that didn't involve them and she thought it was rather reckless of Mary to do so. When encountering two warring bears in the woods, it was a silly idea to throw a rock at them. "Our destinies were not yet entwined - now they are," she said simply to Mary.

She flipped the pages in her Book of Shadows, hoping for a means of robbing one dragon of its sight. Her shield had failed, one of the dragons had fallen, and the Argo III was burning. Despite the web of chaos surrounding them, Rebecca felt calm and at ease. She was as tranquil as still water under a full moon, leaning into her magic. She scanned the page she came to - it wasn't as powerful a spell as she would have liked, but it would do. "Obscure," Rebecca whispered, pointing a finger at the dragon. Her aim was off slightly, but she managed to blind it for a few seconds.

She then snapped the book shut and concentrated. The key to manipulating the Mist was to make the illusion more desirable to the target than reality. She closed her eye, envisioning the Argo III turning around and sailing in the other direction, going off into the horizon - a tantalizing target for the dragons to chase. Meanwhile, the real Argo III would be invisible to its senses. She smiled softly, feeling the illusion set in. One of the dragons went off in hot pursuit of it, while the other circled the area. "Please do not attack them. They believe we've gone off in the other direction."

Somehow, she doubted the other demigods would listen.

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Argo III - Upper Deck
Skills: Superspeed

Leda didn't like the idea that their lives were in Rebecca's hands, as the Teenage Witch muttered something about not attacking the dragons. She knew that Rebecca was rather talented and skilled, but dragons were incredibly dangerous. They couldn't afford to let their guard down. There was something else they couldn't afford too - letting their mast burn up completely. She huffed a bit, made a face at Kiera, before she dashed off at superspeed. Once she found the fire extinguisher, she rushed back over to the mast, pulling the pin and squeezing as she sent the foamy wonder at the mast.

It dampened the flames slightly. Sweat trickled off of her forehead. Leda ran around the mast again, going as fast as she could as she surrounded the flames with the dry chemical reagent. She emptied the entire extinguisher by the time she was done, putting out the fire on the mast and creating what looked like a gigantic tower of shaving cream. At the very least, she figured that wouldn't impact their ability to magically sail. Hopefully they got away from the dragons soon - not including Mary. Demetri was included.

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Location: Uber
Skills: N/A

"I'm aces," Nancy reassured Madalyne at a whisper, forcing a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. "Cult" or not, the structure of Camp Jupiter helped her quite a lot with keeping the flashbacks at bay. She didn't have episodes nearly as often as she used to - and now, her episodes tended to just mean she was receiving prophecies. They rarely involved horrific memories of the darkest moment of her life. It was only the children of Bacchus that brought those on in New Rome. People tended not to really ask her about the Lotus Hotel and Casino, a blessing that she was incredibly grateful for.

Luckily, Niah offered up a brilliant distraction - they were being followed. She cracked her knuckles, daydreaming briefly about letting loose a sonic screech and flipping the car following them over, creating a gigantic explosion on the road. She couldn't help but feel disappointed when apparently Waverley, Marco, and Madalyne had everything handled. Hopefully there'd be a monster or two to kill on the way to Atlas. She needed a good fight. "Hey Waverley, how about you drink some Kool-Aid then and prove this is a cult?" Nancy invited the young legionnaire. "You're part of the Twelfth Legion. By your logic, you shouldn't have any issue with slicing your wrists and dying if I ask it of you."

Demetri Rowan Howell

Location: Ship: Upper Decks
Skills: Shapeshifting

Why did everything have to be about being dumb or not with her? Demetri never once questioned Marys intelligence. The plan was said so at the very least they wouldn't get in each other's way. It seemed however that Mary was so preoccupied with Demetri that she could barely land a hit on these dragons. For all her roar she had no heat behind it. One of the dragons was hit with a ballista, causing it to fall and Demetri barrel rolled up and spread his wings to hover in the air as he watched where to help next. Before he could act however, one of the dragons swooped in and encased the barrier in fire, breaking Rebecca's magic and lighting their mast ablaze. Great. Leda seemed to have that handled and Demetri figured he would draw the dragons attention away.

He swooped down towards the beast, gliding over the dragon and taking a bite out of its wings. Unfortunately it didn't hinder its flying how he wished but did help to enrage it. The foe craned its neck back to snap at Demi but missed as he glided further right. It was then it clicked that Rebecca had asked them to stop fighting, seeing how the mist began to shift and shape he figured it best to help the illusion. Demetri flew away towards the fake shape and hovered over it as if he was protecting it from the others so that they would attempt to chase the new illusion.

Ezekiel listened to the limited information the girl gave them and frowned. It wasn’t a lot to go on but it was a lot they were being hit with. Ezekiel slumped in his seat and twinkled his fingers, playing with the light. ”Oh? I thought having the daughter of the sun titan on our asses was a good thing,” Ezekiel mocked Kristin. ”It is interesting though. I mean my father took over Helios’s job and everything the titan claimed to be his is now my fathers. And a son of Apollo was tasked to be on the mission. Interesting,” Ezekiel mused.
Ezekiel turned and faced the daughter of Circe. ”We are no stranger to death threats so that really isn’t going to stop us from continuing. Is that really the only reason they sent you here? I mean really, did they think that was going to scare us? I’m really starting to think this Echinda is nothing to fear,” Ezekiel goaded and nudged Janelle. He was hoping to make the girl mad or annoyed that they were just pushing this off and slip up into telling them more information.

"That's such a weirdly specific superpower," Waverley muttered as she saw fog spill onto the highway, obscuring the view of the car behind them. She didn't entirely understand the Mist, just that sometimes it was some unfathomable magical metaphysical force, and sometimes it was straight up just fog. She watched out the rear window for a couple of seconds after the mist swallowed up everything in sight, hoping that the car that had been following them wasn't going to be a problem anymore. Part of her felt guilty, worrying that they'd just inconvenienced a random civilian, but she was soothed by the fact that they probably hadn't caused the stranger any harm. When she turned back to face the front of the car, she was surprised to find that they were still discussing whether or not the Camp was a cult.

"Oh, are we still talking about this?" she asked, sounding a little embarrassed that her throw away comment was now the main topic of discussion. "I'm not saying it's Jonestown, I'm just saying that it's got a lot of the qualities often associated with cults. Everyone lives together in a commune separate from society, everyone has a job to help sustain said commune, most everyone holds the same religious beliefs, and we have to keep certain aspects of the Camp secret from friends and family." As she started to list off examples, she began counting them on her fingers. Once she got to four, she tensed up, realizing she got carried away. She lowered her hand, an apologetic frown making its way onto her face. "I'm sorry, I'm really not trying to shit on your guys' religion. If you want me to drop it, I can. I was just making conversation."

Arthur Stanford

Location:Argo III: Upperdeck
Skills: N/A

Arthur inhaled as Andy tended to him, and he looked at her, before weakly nodding. Fighting was better than dying. That was what he had to focus on, and nothing else. If not, he was going to die, and if he died, everyone else probably would to. Following Kieras lead, he looked over the the Ballista, and decided that he would have to try to use that. His knife would be borderline useless against something this big, and he absolutely refused to use necromancy. He was too unstable for that right now, he didn't know what he would end up bringing out if he tried.

Scrambling over, he put his hands on the ballista, trying to move it. It was heavy, and he was small, so it wasn't something he was good at, but with effort, he pushed it in the direction of one of the dragons, before firing it off, smalling a bolt into the monster's body. Exhaling, he realized he had no idea how to reload this, and stepped back, looking at the beast he had hit. He felt sorry, but at the same time, rationalized his actions as necessary. These beasts didn't feel bad about trying to eat him, so he shouldn't care about defending himself.
