It was a sweltering July day when Archer was born to Jessica and Garrett Diedrikson. When the couple brought their new baby boy home to show their 3-year-old Warren his new brother the little blond boy made a sour face and blurted out “No, take it back…we don’t need him!” which would foreshadow the brother’s relationship in the years to come. The Diedriksons were one of those families you see in those neighborhood pamphlets, a huge house with a pristine lawn, two cars, two kids, and a dog. Garrett is a big-time lawyer and partner at Diedrikson & Schultz, where they deal with a lot of high profile cases. Maybe this is why he has always been very strict with his boys and in his mind steering them in the right path. Archer’s mother Jessica is a painter and owns a gallery in midtown and is the one who always keeps her boys grounded. Archer’s brother Warren takes after their father, he was football captain of the Lions, still dating his high school sweetheart, goes to Harvard pre-law. Basically the golden boy in their father's’ eyes, so Archer has always felt like the black sheep.

The Diedriksons are a very Christian family, and growing up Archer had to go to church every single Sunday and listen to a preacher talks about how they should live their life in a god-fearing way. This is why he had to suppress what he really felt in his earlier years, Archer has known he was gay since he was 9 but being raised in such a religious family where he had been told by the church that what he felt and what he was is sinful and wrong. But when he started high school and grew into himself with his friends that supported him, he couldn’t stand it anymore and he decided to come out to his family. It went about as good as you would think, his brother just laughed and his father just looked at him and uttered one sentence “This does not leave this house!” And stood up and left for his office. His mother looked at him tearfully before she rushed after his father. Archer was crushed and spent some time at his best friend’s house and at the beach before returning home, where his mother sat him down and told him am sorry that I reacted that way, you will always be my son and I will always love you. But your father just needs time to process this… I’m sorry”. It doesn't feel the same in his house anymore but at least he feels he can be himself more now, he stays clear of his father though.

His first two years of high school had been no different than any other year in school. And this time he had tried, like really tried to be as invisible as possible. But still, whenever he wasn’t around his Castillo shield some of the school’s elite felt it was their mission to make his life a living hell. Pushing him into lockers, throwing stuff at his head, or just calling him fag under their breath when he walked past them. He couldn’t even escape it when he got home where he had a brother who made jokes at his expense at every turn and a father who ignored him. He was tired and he had had enough, which resulted in an incident with a handful of his mothers sleeping pills and a bottle of vodka. Luckily he got through it with the help of his brother’s girlfriend of all people. But with the help of his friends and some self-development he has gotten past it and gotten more confident, especially now that he lives on his own and studies psychology so that he can put himself in other people’s shoes.

A few are cartoon characters like Snoopy and Scooby-Doo. The one on his neck is Stone Cold Steve Austin's glass skull. His left forearm is a Hawk to symbolize his love for Tony Hawk and his right forearm has one of the N7 Logo from Mass Effect.

He has his ears and nose pierced. Ear piercings are just on the lobes.

Backpack #1 🛹 Custom shirts he had made for his cabin this year. They are dark red, long sleeve shirts with the red cabin logo printed on them. He brought at least seven just in case and got a few in different sizes, because of course, he had to be inclusive. They also come with matching hats and bandanas. Also in this backpack are some electronics like his laptop and phone and the chargers they need to survive.
Backpack #2 🛹 Simply put: Jackson brought so much junk food that he might actually forget about keeping to his diet for the next couple of weeks. Good thing, tho! They were cheap. Twinkies and the like. Oh and those bitchin' oatmeal cookie things. They rule!
Suitcase 🛹 This one is full of his clothes and especially the jeans and hoodies too big to fit into his backpacks. He bought a winter coat because, duh why wouldn't he? And a scarf. Oh and some hats for good measure.

You know, it’s difficult to say just where exactly Jackson’s life started to fuck itself over for him. Maybe it was when his parents became drug addicts. Yeah, that was pretty bad. His parents weren’t typically known for being warm and cuddly or, well you know, supportive, but they at least had some presence in his life. It wasn’t much, but before he was ten, Jackson coudl remember a “how was your day” or “would you like a cookie” type of shit from his loving father, Jonas and his ever caring mother, Aria Rose.

But now? Well, now they were deadbeats who, instead of saving up for their only son’s college education or really having any money for food, they spend it on drugs and alcohol and whatever other useless addictions they have. Most of the time, when he was growing up in South Park, Seattle, Jonas and Aria weren’t around enough for him to even say he had parents.

Sperm Donor and Egg is what they are to him. Nothing more, but they could most certainly be a lot less to him.

So yeah, you could say Jackson Torvald Drake has had a shitty life.

After nearly fourteen years under his parents’ roof, the state finally intervened and JAckson would move to Long Beach, California, where his Aunt Riley (his father’s sister) lived. She was sweet but man, if you were to ask Jackson what’s the scariest thing about his aunt, it’s her temper. Definitely related to him, though, that’s for damn sure!

Living with her wasn’t as rough as you might think, but she made him go to fucking camp during the summers. Said it would build character. He didn’t agree, but he didn’t get a choice in the matter.

So he went to this quaint camp named Liberty. What a joy it was. Out there in the wilderness, no cell service or anything. But when he got one taste of it, Jackson loved it. He made so many friends and bonded with a few in ways he never expected. And the girls -- oh boy, they were the best part! Jackson got slapped so many times, but there were two who stuck with him: one was Fiorella Aguliar who, if he had to say what his fondest memory was, it was that he saw her twerking in the Pink Cabin. Definitely a memorable sight.

But the other? Aisling, or just Ash.

No...not just Ash. She was someone special. And Jackson could say it: he loved Aisling Hawthorne. Or maybe he loved the idea of her. He honestly couldn’t tell you, but she changed his life. She made him want to do better. His time with her was magical.

And when Jackson turned eighteen, he made the voyage back to Seattle. It was weird, but Jackson felt more at home there. Plus, he was accepted into the University of Seattle. So moving back to his hometown was something of a logical choice. That being said, he couldn’t give up camp, so he looked it up and there was a camp near where he lived (sort of) in Northern Washington.

It was Second Horizons. And for three years, every summer and winter break, Jackson was at Second Horizons. He made the cut when he turned eighteen as a camper, but from then on, he was a counselor for the Red Cabin.

It might’ve been at a different camp, but one thing that has never changed was Jackson’s loyalty to the Red Team.
