Ezekiel Kel

Location: Bus Bus ---> Bus Stop -- Pasadena, Texas
Skills: Sword Fighting

Thankfully, Kristin understood and listened to Ezekiel. He listened to her whispered words and nodded slightly. The next bus stop came quickly and within seconds, Kristin impaled the first monster, causing a bit of a dust storm but he managed to follow Janelle and out onto the street. Ezekiel pulled out his charm, hitting the button so it transformed into his sword and turned around, watching the three remaining monsters get off the bus.
Ezekiel shifted to face the closest monster to him and charged it, raising his sword to slash the creature but the monster dodged. Ezekiel didn’t lose his momentum and attacked once more, slicing into the monster’s neck and he was able to bring it down. The creature turned to ash, it blew away on the wind and he refocused on the remaining two. Hopefully, this task would be done quickly and they could be on the way.

Kiera Donovan & Madalyne Crane

Location: Senate House
Skills: N/A

"Maybe he found out recently or something?" Kiera whispered back to Leda and Mary as she looked over at the Roman's as they talked to someone down in the sewers again. The whole Labyrinth sounded really bad then and that they shouldnt even set foot in there ever but one of the Romans did apparently, though Kiera thought that it was a bit heartless for not letting anyone help their trapped one. She was tempted to go and help her but she didnt want to leave her girlfriend alone while she went to go and help some stranger that she didnt even know either maybe someone else would come and help out though.

Madalyne looked towards Nancy and gave her a slight nod, hopefully Waverly did follow that order and remain where she was until they could figure something out after the battle was all said and done. Sadly she didnt know this Rosie person that Demetri and Marco were asking for, having something of theirs would have helped bringing them here if she could. "I'll get the gem then from my villa and i'll be right back. You are welcome to come with me, but i'll be right back the records are just down the hallway and we can figure out what my mother wanted to have you search for." Madalyne said to Andy, and started to make her way out out of the Senate Building.

Alannah gave Niah a friendly smile and nodded towards her, as she looked towards Lauryn. "Lets get going then." Alannah said as she motioned for Niah to follow her back out of the senate building and back over towards where the Argo III was sitting out in the makeshift landing pad still and proceeded to climb up the ladder.

Kiera turned to look at the others getting the sense that the whole meeting thing was all said and done now. "So where would you guys like to go?" Kiera asked looking at the others, they could go and do whatever they could to help out with the battle.

The Sphinx frowned slightly towards Waverly getting the answer to the riddle right as it continued to pace around Waverly still sizing her up. "I am a monster and you are a tasty little demi god, nothing more than a meal for me to gnaw on and use your bones as a tooth pick." The Sphinx said grinning at her giving that evil grin as it eyed the group still outside of the hole, The Sphinx was hoping for a bit of a bigger meal than just one demigod. "The final riddle, if you answer right then I wont eat you. Answer wrong how would you like to be prepared?" The Sphinx asked, before speaking the final riddle. "I can be cracked, I can be made. I can be told, I can be played. What am I?"

Kristin Reynolds

Location: Pasadena, Texas
Skills: Spear Fighting

Kristin brushed some of the dust off of her forehead as she turned to face the two remaining monsters now that Zeke had taken out the other as well, getting into a fighting position. The bus quickly peeled away from the bus stop leaving the three of them with the remaining two monsters. Kristin noticed the sign for the space center really wasnt to far now which was good the sooner that they could finish the quest the better they could get back home now.

Kristin swung her spear at the monster, only for it to doge the monster drew out a club and swung it as hard as it could, revealing that it was a Cyclops. As it swung Kristin was hit full force she could hear several bones cracking from the force as Kristin was knocked back several feet crashing into the bus stop.

Demetri Rowan Howell

Location: Sewers
Skills:

Demetri watched as his pleading fell on deaf ears for Emily. The thousand yard stare of something traumatic bubbling up inside her and reflecting through her eyes. His own began to waver and fill with tears as his sights switched to Marco in hopes that he would do more than simply wait for Nancy to be free to help them. This was not how he expected his first impressions in New Rome to be. He wanted to take to the skies as a dragon, soaring as he breathed fire and brought awe to those around him. He wished to help in the coming battles and be something worthy of legends as he defended his friends and family and they all made it out alive. Yet here he was, in a sewer, crying and losing control of his powers as he shifted back to his normal self. He closed his eyes and cringed as he hear the Sphinx begin to speak, holding out that the Purple haired demi-god had gotten the riddle right.

Tears slowly stramed down his cheeks as he heard the Sphinx say she had gotten it correct. His shoulders began to relax, and his legs buckled beneath his arms and lay flat on the floor as a wave of relief hit him. All she had to do was get one more riddle right and she was in the clear. As he heard what it said, Demi began to repeat it over and over to himself, looking for the best answer. He thought perhaps it was a heart, but a heart can't be told, maybe a story? But those weren't cracked. He wracked his brain until finally he thought he got the answer. Demi sprung up on his legs and ran to the hole, his hands on wither side of it as he yelled into it for her to hear. "Its a joke! A joke, it has to be! You can crack a joke, tell a joke, make a joke, and play practical jokes!" Demi wasn't a praying kid, but if he was he'd be asking all the gods to watch over him and make his answer right. If he wasn't then he had another plan entirely.
If the answer is wrong and the Sphinx goes to attack, Demi will jump in and shift into a dragon to fight it."

Marco wanted to be a little happy for Waverly that she had gotten the second riddle right, but his attention turned to Em, and he could tell something was wrong with her. He wasn't sure what it was precisly, but being with Em for as long as he had been, he could tell when things were wrong. Then he saw the glare Waverly gave Em, just for obeying orders and his own eyes narrowed. Yes, Waverly was in a bad spot, but no one hurt his Em, not like that.

Marco stepped in close and wrapped his arms tightly around Em, and gently ran one of his hands through her hair, just at the base of her skull, and rubbed there softly. "Hey, Em, look at me. Speak to me. What's going on beautiful?" He stepped away from the Labryinth with her and nuzzled her gently as he gently tried to comfort and calm her.

However, his attention was drawn over to Demi again as the boy bolted fort and held himself just at the hole, as if about to launch himself in. "Demi! Please! Come back from there! We can't spare anyone if you go in... please! Stay here!" He could hear the strain in his voice as he spoke, as if the thought of watching someone else toss themselves head first into that chaos would break him. It quite possibly could. He had never asked for this... to be a demi-god. Hell, his five years were almost up right? He could easily retire after this...

He shoved those thoughts aside as he knew he needed to be strong for the moment. Be strong for Emily, be strong for Demi, the fifth cohort and even Waverly.

Waverley's teeth dug into her lip as the creature didn't seem to soften its hungry stare that appraised her every inch. It continued to prance around her, though she took its small frown as a sign of her victory, though she stopped her lips from splitting into the grin, though her mood was dampened a bit by the creature's rejection of her friendship. "Uh, as flattered as I am by you calling me tasty, I should probably let you know that I tend to prefer girls who...don't have animal bodies and who aren't trying to eat me, y'know?" Waverley joked with a nervous laugh. Then came the riddle, and her mind sharpened back to its intense focus, running through all the options in her head.

"Um...Well, I'm not the biggest fan of being cooked alive, so I'd prefer to be served rare, if that's okay," she slowly replied, answering the creatures question as a way to stall for time. As her head came up empty of an answer, she heard a shout from behind her, seeing the young blonde man standing just at the edge of the labyrinth. It took her a second to process what he'd said, but after a moment, she whirled her head back to the Sphinx. "Yeah, a joke! That makes sense to me!"

Ezekiel Kel

Location: Bus Stop -- Pasadena, Texas
Skills: Sword Fighting

Ezekiel turned around, ready to face the next monster. Kristin had engaged in an attack as well and Ezekiel saw her get hit by what was apparently a Cyclops and get sent into next Tuesday. Or in this case, the bus stop. He had heard her ribs breaking and narrowed his eyes at the monster before Ezekiel charged it and swung. The Cyclops turned in time and dodged, making a swing as well that Ezekiel managed to dodge thanks to his quick god-like reflexes. Ezekiel smirked at the Cyclops and twisted his sword around.
”You’re going to have to do better than that,” he noted. Ezekiel raised his sword and aimed for the creature's eye. They were maddeningly good at dodging as well and it seemed Ezekiel wouldn’t get lucky twice. The Cyclops hit Zeke in the ribs as well and he stumbled back, sucking in air even though it burned to breath. Unfortunately, this was a pain he was used to and would have to deal with as he couldn’t heal himself. If they survived this though, he could heal Kristin and Janelle if she needed it.

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️ and 🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Senate House -> Camp Jupiter Outskirts
Skills: Superspeed, Greek Mythology

Nancy returned Niah's smile, even though she didn't really feel like smiling. When she wasn't acting on behalf of New Rome, with the weight of everyone's survival pressing down on her shoulders, she could be a quite happy and carefree person. Mads and Niah had seen glimpses of her like that during their downtime moments on their quests - as for other people, they usually only got hints of it when she used her voice to take down monsters. She could have just screamed in order to make their heads explode - she actively chose to sing instead.

She relaxed ever so slightly, hearing that Madalyne agreed with her - that Waverley could wait, while the gem couldn't. "Sounds radical," she told Mads. She was keeping her voice even and steady, knowing that one responsibility of a praetor was to project strength and calm when everything was horrible. With the lack of updates on the Waverley crisis, at least it seemed like everything there was probably getting under control, something they desperately needed to have happen. The attack could begin at any second. She then went back to studying her maps, biting her lip slightly as she analyzed their positions and movements.

She cursed under her breath in Latin. "Gag me with a spoon..." she then muttered, seeing small little blips on the map approaching Camp Jupiter. "The attack is about to begin - the enemy is approaching Camp. Alex, could you please sound the alarm? And Greeks - might be a good time to put your ship to use."

Leda hesitated for a moment, looking at Kiera. She really did want to be on the ship with all of her friends. But her speed would be limited on up there. With how bad all of this was sounding, maybe there were other ways that she could help. "I'm going to go scout, see what's coming - I'll be back in a wink, I promise," Leda told Kiera, before giving her a peck on the cheek. She took off at a run, way more sluggishly than she would have liked. She was probably overdoing it lately - that or maybe it was the fear.

Whatever it was that held her back, there was then a BOOM as Leda fully kicked up to speed. She dashed through New Rome and through Camp Jupiter, making it to the very edge. She skidded to a halt, kicking up a lot of dirt in the process. She blinked, doing a bit of a double take. There were nine basilisks heading towards them, and a miniature purple dragon flying around breathing flames. She couldn't remember anything about how to kill a basilisk. And she knew she was outnumbered. "This... this is going to be a dam problem..."

Jason Gauger and Marygold Isley

Location: Senate House
Skills: N/A

"So, lahng stahry shahrt dahn't go in dere sence it sounds really messed oehp, gaht it," he commented with a shrug. Yeah, there was no way he was going to head down into the abyss or whatever it was that was that Labyrinth considering it sounded like it would result in death. Then again the fight they were getting ready for was going to result in them potentially dying, so it was whether he wanted to die above ground and not trapped in a maze. He would prefer to not be in that weird maze or whatever.

"Yeah, never go in it if you can't help it," Mary added, before looking over at the others as they discussed possibilities. They had a lot to do and not much time to really do it in. Hopefully the girl who had managed to get herself stuck in the Labyrinth was going to be alright until they could figure out a way to get her out. Then again, unless you didn't know anything about mythology (like Jason, it made sense for him since he was still new to this) most people should know about the Labyrinth.

Personally, he had no idea what was going on still, no one had really said anything at all with regards to what was going on. He was completely confused as to what everyone was doing. Things weren't exactly being explained all too much, so when people started racing off or going to do other things, he had no idea what to do at this point. "No idea," he responded rather honestly to what it was that Keira had asked about what they should do. He had no idea what to do.

Her attention was drawn away from that and towards Nancy when she started looking at her maps. "What's going on?" she couldn't help but ask, not too sure what it was that she was looking at. Nancy's words about the attack happening right now or whatever was not a good one. "Leda wait a second!" she called after her, but her friend was already gone. "We've got to go after her, she's going to get herself killed if she isn't careful..." She instantly headed out and was trying to figure out which way Leda had gone.

Janelle Gauger

Location: Pasadena, Texas
Skills: Heightened Hearing

She wasn't incredibly sure of what was going on, all she knew was that she was hearing fighting and more then a little bit of chaos. With her staff (which she shifted into it's full length) and she tried listening for where the Cyclops was. Unfortunately, she wasn't quite able to get a fix on its location. However, despite that, she managed to whirl the staff around and she managed to smack it into the monster. Unfortunately it didn't seem to really do any damage to the monster, that wasn't something helpful at all.

"Damn it, gaht to try 'arder," she muttered, before once more trying to hit the Cyclops. Her problems were only starting to get larger as when she went to hit the monster this time, the Cyclops managed to knock her backwards, causing some bruising. That didn't stop her from trying again, but her bit of a handicap was starting to clearly cause some problems for her, as she didn't land another hit on it. This was getting annoying, but it was something she likely was going to continue to deal with, here's hoping that this doesn't end horribly for her, or the other two.

Andy was torn between going with Madalyn to get the gem and records or waiting. She decided to wait though because she didn't want to leave Arthur alone any longer than necessary. She did tense when Madalyn said that Hecate was her mother. Andy gave Arthur a side glance trying to gauge if he was okay. Would he want to be around her? Rebecca was also a child of Hecate. She wondered what it would have been like for the two to meet. Would they have gotten along as sisters? Or would the divide or Roman and Greek get in the way? Or would Rebecca's general...creepiness have gotten in the way? It was hard to tell.

The group was starting to disperse. People going off in their separate directions. She looked to Arthur and said quietly. "I've got your back." They fought well together. She was going to make sure they stuck together to make sure he didn't lose anyone else as best she could.

Em took a few deep breaths. "The madness in that place is like a miasma." She told Marco. "It feels...alive." She didn't know how to explain it, how it twisted and turned and would not allow itself to be dormant for long. "I don't trust it." She said, wildly understating how she felt.

"Whatever you do Waverly don't wander off." She wanted to warn Demi about how dangerous that place could be. How the Labyrinth was...hungry. She didn't want to say it so Waverly could hear her though. Didn't want to scare the girl any more than was necessary. She just had to stay close to camp then things could be figured out. But they had a war coming to them they had to protect their home. Unfortunately, that meant Waverly would have to wait.

"Please lead the way." Niah said and started to follow Alannah out of the Senate house. She was thankful that Nancy had been able to muster a bit of a grin back at her, though she could tell how hard it had been. Niah touched the bracelet that was the reminder of all the three of them had been through to get to this point.

"Don't take off without me." Andy said.

Niah checked her armor as they started walking to the Greek ship. She had no desire for something to go wrong with her armor while in the air. That was a death sentence for her. The ship was, she had to admit, impressively built. She wondered how it flew. Maybe Alannah would give her some information on that. She had a decent grasp of how magic worked, but nowhere near as good of an understanding as Mads.

Arthur Stanford

Arthur smiled back to Andy, having her with him made things so much better, but he didn't want her to make choices just to keep him safe. "And you know I have yours too." He responded, keeping his volume down, before hesitating for a moment, "But, don't make choices just because of me I want you to be safe as much as you want that for me, and I'd hate you to hurl yourself into danger just because that's where I'm going." He didn't have a better way to phrase that, but the last thing he wanted was for her to die because he wanted to play hero. "More than anything, I need you to stay alive. Okay?"

It was probably wrong of him to put that on her, but he honestly couldn't take another loss. Especially not andy, never her. She mattered so much to him, and he didn't know if it was what they'd been through together, or just because it felt like he had lost every other person he cared about, but he was so scared that if he lost her, that would be the last straw in him, and something would irreparably break. In this vein, he wanted her to pick where they'd go, he needed to know she could choose where they would help make the groups stand, "Your choice for where we end up."

Kiera Donovan & Madalyne Crane

Location: Madalyne's Villa -> Senate House
Senate House -> Fields of Mars
Skills: N/A

Madalyne quickly entered her villa and made her way over towards her bedroom where she had kept the gem in a safe, she always did get evil feelings from the thing every time she handled it. She quickly waved her hand as the safe unlocked and pulled out a small burlap pouch and pulled the purple gem out for a second. She quickly shook her head and closed up the pouch and stuffed it into her pocket, seeing the set of armor Madalyne started to put it up before leaving.

Alexandra looked at Nancy and nodded towards her. "Sure thing bosslady." She gave a bit of a sarcastic salute before quickly leaving the room itself, and then a few seconds later everyone within the camp and city would hear the loud siren going off. Alexandra came back a few seconds later and looked towards Nancy. "Is there anything else?" She asked her half-sister, she wanted to go out and help defend her home from the oncoming invasion.

Kiera's eyes went wide seeing Leda quickly sped off, while looking over at everyone else she wasnt going to let her girlfriend fight alone. "I'm going right now." Kiera said she wasnt going to wait for everyone else to catch up, and bolted out of the senate building, bumping into Madalyne for a moment. "Sorry." She said to the praetor as Kiera headed out into the city. Madalyne entered the building a few seconds later and looked towards Andy, as she heard the sirens going off as well.

She approached Andy, right now wasnt really a good time to look into the archives but she could get the documentation and bring them with her and keep them safe. "I can get whatever it is that Trivia wanted or Hecate just tell me what it is and I can pack them up and we can look into them after the fighting is over." Madalyne told Andy.

The Sphinx let out a loud hiss and glared at both Demi and Waverly for a moment and then eyed her for a moment, the sphinx was rather hungry, but a deal was a deal, it eyed both Demi and Waverly. "A deal is a deal, I would have offered you a quick and painless death if the other monsters dont eat you first. The madness here will certainly drive you crazy to a very painful death.

You would be begging for me to end that pain." The Sphinx said before bolting out of the chamber through one of the many endless hallways.
Just as the Sphinx had left Waverly would start to hear voices. "No one wants you here. Your camp will be destroyed. You are useless." The voices would start saying, Demi, Marco and Em would be able to hear some as well just by standing to close.

"C'mon up." Alannah said to Niah as she climbed up the rope ladder and stretched out slightly, she looked over towards the edges of camp she could hear the loud siren going off now as well. Which wasnt a good thing at all as Alannah caught a few glimpses of some torches in the distance as well Lauryn noticed as well.

The first and second cohorts getting ready get into positions now. "I'm gonna get the engine started then." She said as she quickly bolted down to the lower decks, as Alannah turned to look at Niah. "So the wheelhouse is there I can teach you how to fly it if you want to." Alannah said as she gestured towards the wheelhouse in the top deck. "The lower deck is the crew quarters, mess hall and the infirmary, and the lowest deck is the cargo and engine room."

A few legionnaires were nearby Leda as they drew out their shields, and the basilisks turned their attention to her and the soldiers. Leda would notice that the grass near them was already dead or dying as well. One of the basilisks spat out some acid out at one of the soldiers, getting a lucky shot to the face, as the guard screamed in out in pain. The little dragon was breathing fire managing to burn one of the snakes easily killing it.

"Hey! What happened to fighting and staying together?" Kiera asked a bit annoyed, breathing heavily as her sides felt like they were on fire from all of the running. "I smell a child of Neptune." A Giant said as ten more basilisks came out of his hair.

Kristin Reynolds

Location: Pasadena, Texas
Skills: Spear Fighting

Kristin wasnt looking to good as she slowly stumbled back up to her feet, her breathing was rather raspy as some blood was coming from her mouth slightly. She reached into her pocket and pulled out three cubes of ambrosia and popped them into her mouth she was leaning against her spear as support. The pain started to subside a bit now as she spat out some blood onto the ground, and felt slightly better she looked at Janelle and Zeke as they were busy fighting.

She charged forward managing to blind the cyclops that was attacking Janelle, as it howled in pain it started to swing wildly while complaining about being blinded. The other cyclops that Zeke was fighting had managed to hit him again knocking him back a few feet and onto his back, causing alot of bruising.

Each of the demi-gods had their hands full with this fight. It didn’t bode well for what they would encounter once they reached the boss fight. Ezekiel tried to avoid the Cyclops’s next attack but got flung back and landed on his back. The air left his lungs in a woosh and he felt the ache in his back from the fighting and from the hit.
Ezekiel took a moment, looking around at his companions. Janelle was struggling a lot and Kristin was popping cubes of ambrosia before spitting blood to the side. To say they were in rough shape was an understatement. Ezekiel looked back up at the sky a moment, gaining his breath back.
”No more quests after this. I need a vacation,” he mumbled.
Feeling more focused and clear headed, Ezekiel pushed himself to his feet and rotated his head before looking straight at the Cyclops. He ran forward and swung his sword at the Cyclops’s neck, aiming to get his head off. Ezekiel missed and countered back, missing again but was able to dodge the Cyclops’s next attack as well.
”Alright one eye, I’m getting tired of this.” Ezekiel shifted his stance, switching where his weight was and sliced forward, cutting into the Cyclops leg and wounded him; although, it wasn’t as effective as Ezekiel was hoping for.

Demetri Rowan Howell

Location: Sewers
Skills:

Demetri was tense as he awaited for the Sphinx to make its final call. Was his answer correct? Or had he just served Waverly onto a silver platter? His eyes closed, squinting hard as he began to whisper and mutter to himself. He hadn't known it, but he was praying for the first time in his life. Hoping that his words would reach the diety that resided over luck and bless them with it on this trying day. It was a surreal feeling at the time, but much easier to visualize after having seen Thanatos. There were beings born before his time, another race of people who were giants and weirded powers beyond their own physical capabilities. A race of beings forced into hiding after wars had torn them apart, secluded in a distant plane above their heads and ones that followed their own guidelines as to how the earth worked. Beings who could hear the whispers of a desperate man trying to save just a single person if he could.

The Sphinxs disappointment was music to Demis ears. A metaphorical choir singing around him as his legs gave out and he allowed himself to slink back towards the sewers ground. He heard Marcos words reach him, but the power they held fell on deaf ears. Demetri was torn between what he should do. Sirens began to blare outside, sounding the oncoming attack. He could jump in and help the purple haired demi-god, or he could go topside and hope to end the fight quickly. A massive dragon, the razor teeth of a Sphinx, hell he'd attempt to mimic the giants that would attack them if it meant ending the fight. The sooner these fights ended the sooner that Nancy could aid Waverly. He closed his eyes once more, settling on his decision. Standing up with conviction as he back faced the hole. "Hey Waverly, stay put right there. I'll end this damned fight so quick Nancy will have whiplash and then Madalyne can come help. Just stay strong, I believe you can." He faced Marco and Emily, smiling a bit as he ignored the maddening whispers. "Lets end thjs" Demetri spoke as smoke bellowed from his mouth and flamesocked his cheeks. Transforming into a Dragon to help fight this war and help free Wavey.

Em's words did not much to comfort or calm down Marco at that moment. The fact that Em could feel the madness like a miasma rolling off of the Labyrinth firmed up his resolve that he'd never be setting a damned foot in the place. He gently soothed Em's hair and kissed her on the forehead before turning to look at Demi. However, his attention was drawn in two other placed at that moment. First was the faint voices coming from the Labyrinth. The second was the sirens.

Before Marco could speak, Demi transformed before them again into a rather large dragon. Marco could only blink at that, as it wouldn't even top his list of strange things he had seen in his life time. "I do agree, let's end this. Fifth Cohort, we are needed on the field of battle, let us make our way to the surface!" Marco wasn't sure what was coming over him that day, but he knew he needed to step up and lead, he needed to use his words, his skills to get the others behind him.

As he started to exit the sewers, he could feel something tingling at the back of his throat, and he wasn't sure what it was, not just yet.

Waverley's lungs collapsed in a deep sigh as the Sphinx withdrew from its circling prowl around her trembling body. She could feel her whole body relax, her head leaning back as the monster slinked away. The silence left by the Sphinx only lasted a second, as it was quickly replaced by an array of hushed whispers. At first, they were unclear enough that Waves assumed it was the rest of the fifth cohort just outside. But it didn't take long for them to sharpen, becoming clear.

"Lovely..." she mumbled, the voices dripping into her mind. She shot a quick glance over to Demi as he told her to stay, giving him a small nod, both of affirmation and gratitude. As her friends began to peel away, she began chewing on her lip. She backed up into the invisible force field blocking her from the sewers, before using it to slowly slip onto the ground, plopping down on the cold hard stone and crossing her legs. She found the voices...not comforting, that wouldn't be right. They were awful, but they were awful in a way that was familiar. She had more experience with voices whispering cruelties to her than she did with sphinxes spouting out riddles. Her fingers began to gently stroke the strings of her guitar, making a quiet melody. "Yeah, you're right...no one wants me here. Or anywhere, really...do you mind if I play you a song, disembodied voices of madness? Don't judge, I haven't workshopped it at all. In fact, you'll be the first people - people? - to ever hear it, so...don't be too critical," she said into the empty labyrinth. She took a deep breath in, and her idle picking turned into strumming.

"Don't wanna be a Roman,
Just wanna go home again
Not that I could find it even if I tried

I'm just a vagabond
Take back your magic wand
I didn't know what it cost when I applied."

She started out slow, almost shy despite her lack of an audience. But as she played, she fell into her groove, the groove that always fell into when she played, and her strumming became more assured, fast, passionate, as did her voice. It wasn't the tidy, packaged voice you find in studios. It was raw, emotional, but beautiful nonetheless.

"I wanna go back to the tracks, that's where I wanna be
But I went and left them behind me, behind me, behind me

Wanna turn around, but I don't
Could look behind me but I won't
Because I fear, all I have here
Will slip away and disappear

Wanna turn around, but I can't
Could look behind me but I shan't
Because I know, I'll sink below
Away from any home I might one day know."

Waverley's melody continued for a few moments after her voice stopped, but it too eventually ended. Once her little indie punk tune was over, she took deep breaths, a bead of sweat surfacing on the temple of her head as she leaned back against the barrier. "Like I said, it's a work in progress, so don't be too harsh."

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Location: Senate House -> Fields of Mars
Skills: Strategy, Audiokinesis, Singing

Nancy glanced at her maps again, her eyebrows furrowed. All of the lines were holding. The Third and Fourth were defending New Rome, the Fifth had the sewers secured, and the First and Second were in the thick of it. She didn't like being sequestered away from all of the fighting. It felt hypocritical, asking others to die and remaining in relative safety. "Go, join your cohort," Nancy encouraged her sister, before deciding to take her own advice. She was needed more on the front lines than she was in the Senate House. She rolled up the enchanted maps and tucked them under her shoulder, before leaving the Senate House and heading for the front lines.

When she arrived, it wasn't a pretty sight. A gigantic, lumbering form was flanked by easily twenty or more monstrous snakes. Some of the legionnaires looked like they had been hit by acid and Nancy winced sympathetically - but only for a moment. Pity wasn't in her nature. Anger was. Enraged at the pain her brothers and sisters in arms had endured, Nancy took a breath. "Keep these safe," she ordered a legionnaire, handing them the enchanted maps. She then took out her twin imperial gold daggers, walking out in front of her comrades. She didn't need a shield to defend herself.

She inhaled and began to sing.
🎶 "I don't give a damn 'bout my reputation
Living in the past, it's a new generation
A girl can do what she wants to do and that's what I'm gonna do" 🎶

The sound waves pouring out from Nancy's body rushed forward, colliding with the basilisks. Each one hit by the sound would be able to feel its vibrations intimately, as the sound adjusted, resonating at just the right frequency that the monsters exploded. It was like shattering a water glass, only with flesh and blood. Nancy's anger was still bubbling within her, even seeing that eight of the monsters had been taken out. It wasn't enough.

🎶 "An' I don't give a damn 'bout my bad reputation
Oh no, not me

An' I don't give a damn 'bout my reputation
Never said I wanted to improve my station
An' I'm only doin' good when I'm havin' fun
An' I don't have to please no one" 🎶

The sound waves collided again with the remaining basilisks, hitting three of them squarely. The resonating frequency was a little bit off though, so rather than killing the creatures, the notes triggered them to fall unconscious on the ground in a heap. Nancy cocked her head slightly, as she had been about to sing again - only to notice a rainbow like blur dashing along through the remaining basilisks. She didn't want to hurt a demigod ally - her power was more or less an area attack, meaning that she couldn't discriminate between targets if someone got in the way.

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Fields of Mars
Skills: Greek Mythology, Sword-Fighting, Agility, Superspeed

"I told you, I was going to scout - I was about to run back in a mo'," Leda insisted, a bit annoyed that her girlfriend didn't trust her. What was the point of having superspeed if she couldn't use it to help people out? She wasn't stupid. She wasn't going to just attack by herself. She really had been about to go back and join the others, but now they were all here and they needed to make a stand. "Bloody hell, a giant... Think that's Polybotes. Not sure what his entire deal is, but he smells you, so be careful," Leda warned Kiera. "Hopefully someone here remembers how to kill a giant."

Leda readied ultraviolet, just as the Roman leader decided now was a great time to sing. She tilted her head in confusion, not really understanding why that was happening, until she saw the way the sound waves were hitting the monsters - they were being destroyed by them. It sent a chill down her spine to witness. Was Zeke that powerful, too? The awestruck horror changed to annoyance though - if Zeke was that powerful, why the hell didn't he actually contribute more on the quest they had gone on?

"Back in a sec," Leda then said, as the Apollo girl had paused her song. She sprinted as fast as she could go, moving at superhuman speed. She slashed and hacked and bobbed and weaved and dodges and stabbed. To most people, they would just see a rainbow blur, followed by eight of the basilisks collapsing, leaving only one behind. Leda came to a halt, grinning a bit. Her skin was glowing like a rainbow, like she was made out of pure light.

Jason Gauger and Marygold Isley

Location: Senate House -> Fields of Mars
Skills: Chlorokinesis

Jason had no idea what exactly was going on, but based on what he was hearing or what they had been talking about, odds were that it was the attack that they had just been talking about. Which meant that they had to work quickly to see about fighting off the attackers. He wasn't entire sure what to think about them fighting off, what was it that they had been talking about, the Titans or something? In truth he had only been half paying attention to what was being said about the attacks. He probably should have been paying attention more to everything, but he didn't.

Mary was racing along to try and find where her best friend had raced off to. Problem was that it was really hard to tell where she had gone, since Leda had super speed, while the rest of them could only move so quickly. Yeah this was not going to end well, however she wasn't entirely dumb. The sounds of fighting and music were a dead giveaway as to what direction she needed to head in order to deal with the fight, this entire situation was bad, that was all she could do at the moment was head towards the chaos.

He still was a bit lost, but considering the fact that everyone was leaving the Senate House and racing along after everyone else as they headed a certain direction towards what seemed to be the chaos. Jason saw the giant and the snake looking things or whatever it was. Everything just seemed like pure and utter chaos, which meant that he had no idea what to do at this point, as he pulled out his dagger and it shifted into a full length sword. Problem was that at the moment, he wasn't sure what to exactly attack.

Reaching the chaos, her immediate reaction was holy crap there was a giant that seemingly was causing problems! The other thought was that she needed to try and trip up the giant since everyone else were clearly paying more attention to the basilisks. "Damn it, I hate giants," she muttered, before throwing her hands out as she went to send vines that instantly shot up from the grounds and seemingly wrapped up the giant's legs and feet, making it hopefully a little harder for it to move.

Janelle Gauger

Location: Pasadena, Texas
Skills: Heightened Hearing

She could hear the fighting going on around her, and she couldn't help but giggle slightly as the Cyclops seemingly complaining about someone (she was guessing it was likely Kristin) blinding it. "Meet what I 'ave to deal wit all de time, bein blended is nahthin. Cooehld be a whahle laht wahrse, joehst imagine losin yooehr 'earin alahng wit de lack o' sight," she couldn't help but comment towards the Cyclops with a bit of a laugh. People (and monsters) were such babies when it came to just losing one of their senses. She had been born with it, and had adapted to it by now.

Whirling around, she used her staff and smacked the Cyclops with one end of it. She wasn't too sure how this fight was going to work out, she was hoping that it would end up with them being fine and winning or whatever. Janelle hit the Cyclops again with her bo staff, before she whirled around and managed to run her staff through the Cyclops, killing it entirely as it turned to dust. "One mahre to go," she muttered to herself, still hearing Zeke fighting one or something like that.

Andy smiled at Arthur. Her heart seemed to hurt, her whole chest felt compressed for a moment. She took a deep breath. Andy knew she would always make decisions around Arthur. How best she could protect him, how best to take care of him and keep him safe and happy. Andy didn't know the words or how to express them, but she would tear apart the universe to protect Arthur.

"I want to go back to the ship and see if Gryf will let me ride him into battle." She smiled. "Maybe he'll take both of us. If not you sh-..can stay on the ship."

When Madalyne returned Andy nodded. "Well she wanted me to look into your family tree. I have a theory, but I don't know if I can prove it unless your records are magically updated or something. I don't know my parent's names. I was abandoned at two." She confessed. Her birth name was even unknown to her. But there was a reason Hecate had told her to look at the Crane family records. And knowing that Madalyne was a child of her...well that made Andy a little uncomfortable. Would Arthur still like her if she was somehow related to the goddess that had taken away one of his oldest friends?

"We should get going though to join the battle. I don't want them waiting for us for too long." Andy said. She was glad Madylne had already said they'd look at the records after the fight.

Location: New Rome (sewers)
Skills: Madness; Chloroikinsis

The voices rode in on a wave of madness. Em leaned into Marco's touch. It grounded her. Reassured her. But the sirens were going off. The battle had found the Romans. What the fifth had done to the sewers would help. However, this hole wouldn't. There was too much of a risk with it. She had to make a choice. Stay with Waverly and Demi or join the battle. Demi left too. Turning into a dragon and joining the battle above. Now she had to stay. Someone had to be there in case monsters tried to come up through the Labyrinth. And she couldn't leave Waverly unprotected.

Em turned and grabbed Marco's hand real quick and kissed him. "Go battle my love. I will stay here and hold the madness at bay."

With that taken care of Emily did the only thing she could do. She pushed back at the madness. She felt it recede away from her. The madness no longer clawed at her. She then threw a seed through the hole in the wall and eased it into the growing. Smiling, happy that it would work through the magic of the Labyrinth. "I'm here for you Waves." Now if anything else came at Waverly she could help fight it with the plant, and she'd made herself sane again.

Only Alannah and Lauryn joined Niah on the ship. All the other Greeks went to the Field of Mars. That seemed very Greek. There was a plan to have at least some of them fight from the air, but here they were running off. She sighed but listened closely to Alannah as she explained the layout of the ship.

"Certainly. I'd love to learn how to fly her." All ships were female, even flying ones. A thought crossed her mind, her mother was a river of course she hated being in the air. It suddenly explained her issues. Yeah, she wasn't afraid she just didn't like it and now she knew why. She felt a little dumb for not realizing it sooner.

"How good are the little ones at fighting? They are so young." She asked, trying to be conversational, but also her ever practical self.

Arthur Stanford

Location:Senate Hall
Skills: N/A

Arthur felt warm and safe around Andy, something was just pure and good about her, like everything was just better with her around. It was a good feeling, but he blinked at her trip up. She thought he should stay back? A small knot arose in his stomach, he didn't want to split up, especially not to have her go and defend him. Sitting by and not doing anything seemed like it would hurt him more than anything, especially if anybody ended up getting hurt, as people were apt to do in combat. He held his tongue for now, they'd talk about that later, he had to process feeling son it anyway. "We'll talk about that on the way, okay?" He asked softly.

Arthur was curious about what the connection between her and Madalyne was, but whatever it might be, he knew it wouldn't matter to him. If she was related somehow to a child of Hecate, so be it. A person wasn't who they came from; everyone at the camp was proof of that. The gods, best he could tell, were cruel and inhuman beings, but for all he could say about the situation he'd been forced into, the people had to be the best part. There was a kindness and humanity about most of them, they were good people fighting for something, and he respected that, and wanted it made him want to be like them.

Kiera Donovan & Madalyne Crane

Location: Madalyne's Villa -> Senate House
Fields of Mars
Skills: Madalyne: Greek & Roman Mythology Kiera: Sword Fighting

Madalyne nodded slightly, most of her family as far as she could tell was probably long dead, or were really old now since she was trapped in the Lotus Hotel & Casino for years with Nancy, the only good thing that actually came out of it. "We have the Lares who look into that and update the ancestral records and what not." Madalyne said, they were the ghostly guardians of New Rome and Camp Jupiter, she turned towards the records room of the Senate building and started to search around. It took her a bit but she managed to find the records for her family, and took the whole entire thing. She came out a few seconds later holding the folder out to Andy for her to keep looking over at her for a moment and smiled Andy would be greeted by Gryf just outside of the senate building.

"Just hold onto these and put them somewhere safe, i'm going to go help out my fellow Praetor." Madalyne said as she took out her sword and started to run forward, quickly making her way over towards the Fields of Mars. Madalyne paused as she stared at Polybotes who just managed to get free of the vines that Mary had wrapped around his feet. She started to go through her memory on how to actually beat a Giant and snapped her fingers, turning to look at the others. "Polybotes, he's the bane of Neptune or Poseidon. You need both a demigod and a god to defeat them. We need to lure him to Terminus in New Rome." Madalyne said luckily they had a god nearby, the baby dragon instantly took it's attention to Nancy and landed on her shoulder looking at her.

There was a loud roar as a group of ten Cyclops suddenly came into the fray, two of them were carrying boulders and threw them, one nearly hitting Mary and the other knocking Jason down onto the ground. Kiera looked at Madalyne and nodded slightly as she as Polybotes then focused his attention on Kiera and sniffed the air and gave her an evil smile as he charged towards her. Kiera narrowly dodged him rolling out of the way.

She got a bit of a crazy idea, she looked towards Leda for a moment he seemed to be focused on her right now which was a bad thing. "Mind giving me a bit of a lift love?" Kiera asked, she was a hell of a lot faster than she was, Kiera dodged out of the way of a cyclops and managed to cut the monster at it's ankles causing it to fall down to the ground with a loud thud.

Alannah could see the fighting was starting as she watched some of the siege weapons started to fire off their first volley, she turned to look at Niah as she asked about Arthur and Andy. The two hadnt been in camp for to long, and they had already faced some tragedy on the way over here. "They have only been in camp for about a week or so." Alannah said as she heard something, and noticed their Gryphon coming out of the crew deck and took off flying towards New Rome rather quickly to where Andy was.

What happens when you suddenly turn into a dragon in a bit of a confined space, the sewers were large but there was a ceiling and it being rather narrow hitting his head and causing a bit of the ceiling to fall as well. Emily would nearly be pushed into the Labyrinth itself thanks to Demi, an unlucky legionnaire however ended up getting knocked into the Labyrinth itself.

The madness was lessened for now thanks to both Emily and Waverly, how long it would last though no one really could truly know. Waverly would see a bit of a light coming from one of the corridors, and a few seconds later a woman came out looking over to see Waverly and the unlucky legionnaire there and tilted her head to the side slightly. "How did you get in here if I may ask?" The goddess Ariadne asked.

Kristin Reynolds

Location: Pasadena, Texas
Skills: Spear Fighting

Kristin looked at Janelle and smiled towards her, the girl seemed to be well off still fighting, as she spat out a bit more of her blood onto the ground. She felt really dizzy as she lifted up her shirt, there was a lot of bruising and it looked really bad to as well, she turned to stare at the Cyclops that Zeke was fighting and ran forward using her spear she missed. She did it again, managing to stab the cyclops in the side.

It roared out in pain and swung it's fist and missed both Zeke and Kristin, she pulled her spear out and managed to thrust it into it's heart which it immediately burst into dust. Kristin let out a slight sigh and then leaned herself up against the spear for support, she looked like she was going to pass out at any moment. "Just give me a bit to catch my breath.." Kristin said between heavy breathes.
