@Sep Oh I see, you're going off the more recent versions that have Fate as actually Nabu in control of Kent's body via the helmet. I'm going further back than that; the helmet is just a (magic) helmet, Fate is merely Kent's superhero persona.

I think given that each of them is over 100 years old, and is a Magic hero, Diana and Kent are probably fairly close within the Justice League, and could go on to found Justice League Dark together if that becomes a thing. What do you think?

I smushed together two of the heavier hitters of both DC and Marvels hero catalogue on the magical side. I'm sure Ghost Rider's got room in her side carriage for a sorcerer supreme if the opportunity presents itself.

C H A R A C T E R C O N C E P T P R O P O S A L
MR.FREEZE

VICTOR FRIES SUPERVILLAIN GOTHAM
C H A R A C T E R C O N C E P T:

Mr. Freeze was originally created to be a one-note villain whose gimmick was centered around ice and snow. But it took Batman: The Animated Series to elevate him to be one of the Dark Knight's most prominent supervillains in his Rogues Gallery. Because of his tragic backstory and personality, Mr. Freeze stood out amongst the cast as he was primarily motivated out of love whereas everyone else held vendettas or vices against Batman. While antagonist like Joker and Riddler enjoys battling the Caped Crusader, Mr. Freeze seems to be one of the few people that detest it. To the villain, every minute fighting Batman is a minute noting finding a cure for his wife so he treats the hero like an annoying pest at best to someone actively sabotaging any chances of saving his wife, Nora, at worst.

Renowned for his professionalism in villainy, his contemporaries would regard him as humorless or silently mad given his all-consuming drive to cure Nora. In most of his media portrayals, Mr. Freeze operates alone, with little to no henchmen, as he, quite frankly, lost his trust in other people since that lab accident. He believes that he alone has the skill and the integrity to cure his wife. This kind of hidden paranoia mixed with pride and wrath ensures that Batman couldn't save Nora, even if he wanted to, since Mr. Freeze has regarded him as too much of an enemy and threat to be near his wife. Whether he could be convinced otherwise remain to be seen.

P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ):

I picked Mr. Freeze because I enjoy DC villains more than the Marvel counterparts, especially when I grew up on the Dark Knight Trilogy and the DC animated cartoons. I also enjoy playing villains because as Megamind has put it, it's all about the presentation. With his glowing red eyes from his goggles and his massive freeze gun, Mr. Freeze definitely has that gothic tech feel to him. Storywise, I enjoy his struggles since he is possibly the only person who can achieve redemption since he is motivated by his undying love for Nora; not greed nor lust. Usually, I explore heroism through the eyes of the villains with stories of them trying to be heroes in spite of their own destructive tendencies and egregious sins but in Mr. Freeze's case, he is a hero (a husband saving his wife) playing as the villain. He clearly hates his lifestyle but feels trapped and locked in contempt for himself and others. It would be a good way to explore the theme "What defines a villain more? What they do or what they represent?"

Beyond that, I'm thinking of also making Mr. Freeze a bit more sociable, sociable enough to host dinner parties and make some snark. I suspect even he knows that Nora wouldn't want to wake up and see her husband become a total recluse. It could be a way for him to regain some of his humanity back through observation. Additionally, given his fanatical devotion to his wife, Nora, I would have Mr. Freeze go berserk whenever someone insults his love. He already has a patience of a saint given his slow aging process but any dishonor to his wife would ignite his fury in an instant.

The overall goal is for him to find that cure. What happens after he finds it will be interesting since he would immediately give up immediately only to run into a few roadblocks. Primarily his current identity as Mr. Freeze as he pretty much burned down his bridges with Gotham. He would discover that he can't go back to being a civilian that easily.
C H A R A C T E R N O T E S:

Currently, given that I'm the only person apping as a villain, he would most likely be a driving character for some plots. Personally, I would have him be a roaming or supporting status character since I'm not that confident in my writing ability. Other than that, he speaks with a slightly German accent and his animal motif is the polar bear

P O S T C A T A L O G:

Worry not Nora, this is only temporary.

"What's'a matter, you never seen a teenage, all-American ghost before?"

Kitty Pryde was just your typical preteen girl with a life filled with homework, dance recitals, and a near-addiction to social media. Then, she wasn't so typical. In the span of five months, she discovered she was a mutant, had an attempt made on her life, and met the X-Men. Kitty, 15, is now going into her third full year as a student of the Xavier Institute and will have to overcome a lot of changes to the curriculum if she wants to earn her place as a member of the X-Men.

P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ):

I like Kitty as a character. I wanted to write with Bounce. That's pretty much it.

We're going to be borrowing a lot from the early 2000's New Mutants structure and feature competing teams of students trying to earn a spot as junior X-Men via a semester-long tournament of sorts. So there's plenty of space and opportunity for people to join in the shenanigans.

C H A R A C T E R N O T E S:

Kitty was the first of the new generation of students, the first mutant resident, and trainee at the mansion outside of the various, rotating members of the X-Men. She's going to be part of the New Mutants team alongside @Bounce's Cherub, and the NPCs Katie Power, Sammy Pare, and Bobby Drake which we might swap to POVs of at any time.

If we're allowed to play non-heroes, it's time to play the best one in marvel history.

I updated my character sheet with a pretty long (as of right now) list of characters that came to mind when I began thinking of story arcs for Ragwoman.

It's all pretty stream of consciousness on my part, so sorry if it's confusing! However, I wanted to follow some of the great examples posted so far and really toss out some ideas in terms of characters that I think could be interesting to see interact with Ragwoman (although by no means is my list exhaustive and I'm sure there are a ton of other interesting characters).

Update

Edit: I might move some characters over from "of Interest" to actually being involved sooner rather than later, but for now I just want to ponder my really long list. Any thoughts, feedback, or interest is more than welcome, especially if you have or might have designs for any of the mentioned characters (sorry for my lack of brevity in advance).

Edit Edit: Forgot to mention the greatest comic book character ever. The Phantom. A man in purple, almost deceptively blue tights, fighting pirates with his Colt 1911s and his fists.

As a new (well, second time new) father, this sheet reads as a horror character to me...

"So what if... baby, with irregular sleep patterns and requiring constant supervision... but... flying..?"

You can't be doing this to me, @Bounce. I'm going to start waking up in cold sweats checking my kid for wings...

Extremely curious if we're getting a Phantom app.

I've made one once before and my time dried up before I could actually play the character.

I mean there are lots of NPC villains too, and there's routes of progression for a villain.
