I am intrigued, though I do have two questions to clarify a few things.
One idea I had was spatial manipulation. specifically to visibly distort space in an area which would help or hinder movement in the area, help hide objects in the area from observers outside and visa-versa, and allow for teleportation from one anomaly and another (but only for the character). Would this be fine as I think it might fall under reality manipulation or should I refine a different idea?
Second, is this secret prison operated like a asylum for the criminally insane or a normal prison (or at least as normal a prison as one designed to hold those with extraordinary abilities can be)? Regardless, I am tempted to make a character with some degree of mental affliction, been wanting to writing one for a while and this would be an opportunity for that...
@KZOMBI3 Ping me when you have the sheet done, so I can look it over.
@Lurking Shadow 1) Perhaps another idea would be suitable, the one you discribed would fall under reality manipulation. If you like you can PM me and we can work out the kinks.
2) Correct the facility is underneath a regular asylum.
If it is a pretty hard rule, I think i'll save us both the headache and double down on one of the other ideas. I was not hard set on spatial manipulation so it is little issue with me. I'll see if i can pop out a cs in the next 30ish hours
managed to pump out a sheet quicker than I thought. I only lightly reviewed this so there will probably grammatical errors and possibly a few inconsistencies but it is late and It is all too easy to lose track of time so I figured I'd post this for review then lose consciousness until I suddenly regain consciousness later.
Name: Randolph Ward
Known Aliases: Ghoul, Necrophage
Age: Unknown.
Appearance: Randolph is humanoid in his outline, but monstrous in appearance. His visage is eerily canine, with a pronounced snout and a mouth filled with sharp teeth akin to the fangs of a hyena. His snout isn’t large enough to significantly impair his ability to speak but does give his voice a guttural, raspy tone. He has large pointed ears and a short coat of fur covering his body, which is thicker along the back, shoulders, and forearm. His mouth tends to slaver and his long tongue lolls when not in active use.
Randolph adopts a hunched posture and normally ‘stands’ five foot eight, but he towers over almost everyone at seven foot two when standing upright. He has legs and hooves reminiscent of goats and his hands, while humanlike, have fingers terminating in claws. He has significantly more developed muscles than most people, especially in the upper body, and his lack of body fat helps exaggerate these features.
Due to his unorthodox diet, immunity to disease, and overall nonchalance towards propriety and presentation, Randolph has poor personal hygiene. On the best of days, he may just simply stink but more often a scent of decay accompanies him. An odious perfume that carries on his breath and underneath his nails, a sickening aura that can debilitate those in proximity to him if they lack a strong constitution.
Psyche Profile: Contrary to one would think given his intimidating appearance, Randolph tends to avoid conflict where possible. If agitated and unable to remove himself from the source of distress, Randolph will react violently and has on multiple cases subjected another prisoner to so called ‘free cosmetic surgery’ before order could be maintained.
When interviewed about these incidents, Randolph revealed that when he decides to ‘get even’, he does not react immediately but instead he waits for an opportunity to strike. When the target is actively engaged in an altercation with someone else, when they are sick, have an injury, or otherwise are incapacitated. Even in cases where he would easily win, he feigned cowardice only to strike later. He also refuses to give up his ‘mementos’, the flesh he ripped from others.
Randolph also refuses to maintain any standard of hygiene and seems to find amusement in the discomfort he causes in others as a result.
Regardless, Randolph is otherwise a model prisoner and is rarely non-compliant. Outside of certain instances he does not seek to create conflict and is even relatively courteous when interacting with others. Considering his propensity to wait for opportunity, it makes it hard to fully trust him and know when he is being genuine.
Background: Much of Randolph Ward’s distant past is a mystery but it is clear he has lived long past what a human can normally live, he has claimed to have adopted dozens of names over his life and given different answers to his age. 180, 154, 230, 502, even as high as almost a thousand years old but that was later proven to be a jest as his recollection of historical events are too disconnected from what was recorded to have happened. However, it can safely be determined that his actual age ranges somewhere between three hundred and five hundred years given his answers when questioned on historical events.
Randolph also claims he was once an ordinary man, but would not give much more information claiming it to be irrelevant. What he has revealed is that he has spent much of his old life looking to extend his life past what was natural, to rise above his station. For ‘forty-something’ years he has followed rumors, legends, folklore, and myth. Finally, and thanks to ‘a loose set of morals, sheer determination, and a bit of luck’ he found his solution in a ‘long forgotten book with queer occult rituals’.
It took a year for Randolph to prepare the ritual, and he has claimed to have committed severe offenses to ‘the laws of both Man and God’ as a result. The ritual itself took another year to conclude from start to finish, Randolph refused to divulge any details and instead cryptically said ‘There are no short cuts to these sorts of things. It is important to do the whole journey and not just skip to the destination.’
Randolph found himself slowly and painfully changing over the course of that year until he became the very thing you see today. He found himself changed almost completely in both body and mind, with strength unrivaled and the ability to experience and absorb the memories held within the flesh of their repast. If he feeds on the flesh of something that has been dead for at least a day, he ‘remembers’ some of their past, with him ‘remembering’ more, in terms of both detail and quantity, the more decayed the flesh.
With this newfound appreciation for this ‘exotic’ food, Randolph dedicated his new life to knowledge and learning things about different people and cultures and to try new ‘flavors’. So began centuries of graverobbing and lurking in crypts, cemeteries, mausoleums, tombs, and the occasional battlefield over much of Europe and Asia until he overstayed his welcome in a mausoleum of a affluent family and was captured after a brutal standoff with local authorities.
Skills, Talents and Learning: He knows English, French, Gaelic, German, and the Russian languages. He is lethal in close quarters thanks to his strength and natural weapons and he can improvise weapons to great effect. He has a superior sense of smell and hearing comparable to canines, able to identify and locate people by scent at great distances and he is adapted to see in low light conditions but exposure to bright lights can be painful and disorientating. While not exceptionally agile, he is very fast when dropping to all fours and can outrun or catch up to people easily. Randolph can burrow through soft surfaces such as dirt or snow at about a third of his running speed, harder surfaces such as ice takes more effort. Lastly, with his age came the wisdom of patience, Randolph is perfectly fine with waiting for opportunity to make a task easier.
Power(s) and Capabilities: Memory Absorption – By feeding on the flesh of corpses, he is able to experience and recall a portion of their memories in proportion to how long the corpse has been deceased, but at a minimum of at least 24 hours.
Unique Physiology – Randolph’s anatomy gives him strength and durability superior to normal humans. He is more than capable of wrestling something as large as a bear to the ground, and with some difficulty can even manage to lift and throw objects as heavy as small cars. Randolph also has a higher pain tolerance that allows him to fight longer than his peers before succumbing to injuries and he can quickly recover from wounds, even ones that would be fatal with time, so long as a sufficient source of food is available to fuel the process in proportion to the severity and that death would not occur before the process finishes in the case of fatal wounds. Lastly, Randolph has immunity to physical afflictions such as diseases, viruses, and parasites.
Power Limits: Corpses need to have been deceased for at least a day or nothing will be gained but nutrition, if the flesh consumed was taken from a still living body (at the time of removal) and is consumed (provided at least 24 hours has passed), Randolph will only experience the memories in the short timespan of when the flesh was removed.
While Randolph can shrug off a few strong hits, consistent and repeated assaults will take their toll on his body and if he is unable to feed, he can be overwhelmed quickly. In addition, due to his unique anatomy he only gains nutrients from the flesh of humanoids. So, if he manages to get away from a fight, it is a safe bet that he can be found at a nearby cemetery as the dead offer no resistance.
Known Vulnerabilities: Extremely sensitive to sudden exposure to bright light, rapid shifts in lighting will disorient and pain Randolph.
Exposure to high voltages can render Randolph unconscious though he can resist voltages that would impair a normal human.
Starvation. When Randolph lacks a source of food, he is more sluggish and easier to neutralize. Care should be taken as the longer he goes without food the more likely he will kill for sustenance.
Motives: Randolph is motivated to sample a variety of flesh, both for taste and to learn about people, places, and the secrets they keep.
Recommended Containment Procedures: The Prisoner’s cell must be made of reinforced concrete with the only entrance being a door capable of resisting his strength. The room must be kept in dim light unless the prisoner misbehaves in which the room will rapidly flash bright lights to incapacitate him. In the event staff needs to enter the cell, they must wear hazmat gear and decontaminate immediately afterwards or risk disease. The prisoner must also regularly be supplied corpses while he maintains good behavior, otherwise his ‘food’ may be withheld. The corpses MUST be evaluated for potential security risks before being fed to the prisoner given his ability. Failure to comply with this rule may result in termination. If the prisoner is to leave his cell for any reason, he must decontaminate before leaving his cell and he must be accompanied by at least two guards with high intensity flash lights and Tasers adjusted to incapacitate the prisoner, with care not to tase another prisoner accidentally as the voltage may kill them. Accidental killing of other prisoners may result in termination and being fed to this prisoner.
Made some edits to clean it up a bit and posted it. That aside, can i get another link to the discord, I tried joining through the old link but it appears to not work for me.
Hey, loving the idea and was thinking of a character as long as you're still accepting. Since you said that you're alright with a variety of powers, I was wondering if an alien creature would be acceptable? I would understand completely if not, but no harm in asking!
For whatever my opinion is worth @Eviledd1984 as a lurker here I can vouch for @Blazion's skill as a writer. Whatever you decide with regards to their idea, I know they will make a quality CS.
Appearance: The type of individual who walks past you without so much glancing in your direction if she mistakenly bumps you in the shoulder. To her, the majority of the universe might as well not exist, though the way in which she carries herself elicits a completely different response. Serena stands at roughly 5'5 and has a rather slim figure. At most, she weighs around 125 pounds and despite the fact she looks somewhat fragile, Serena is stronger than she appears. The young woman will typically be spotted with her hair down wearing dark clothing, though obviously as of late her fashion choices are limited to one single outfit.
Psyche Profile: A bit of a drama queen which in this context could be taken quite literally. Serena doesn’t mind playing games to get the attention of the guards, whether that be faking an injury or attempting to seduce any of them who made the mistake of being within close proximity of her. She’ll use these tactics to get what she wants; maybe a little bit of entertainment or an additional piece of fruit. However with that being said, she isn't too much of a social butterfly just for the sake of it and her interactions with anyone other than staff is kept at a minimum. She rarely engages unless she's approached first, and that's usually to tell them to go to hell and leave her alone.
Serena does not let anyone dictate her actions nor does she allow them to walk all over her. She, however, is mostly compliant with the guards and only because she has to be. She is savvy enough to know that non-compliance will not end favorably for her, which she's experienced twice before. Serena has been in the facility for just under a year, and her time served has afforded her with some of the knowledge and experience to survive that place.
Background: Born in New York City but raised in Chicago by her adoptive parents, Derek Scott and Melissa Janssen. Serena lived a normal childhood save for the occasional side stare or hushed comment made just out of range. Yes, she knew she was adopted from a very young age given appearances don't lie, but that didn't phase her much. She was loved and looked after, and both of her parents treated her just as good—if not better—than any one blood relative would treat their loved one. And for that she was thankful and always considerate of them, especially once it was found out that Serena had the ability to manipulate someone's blood by coming into contact with them.
When she was a teenager, Serena received an e-mail from an unknown individual. The message was shocking and not at all something she was expecting. Essentially, she was asked whether she wanted to complete various tasks in exchange for bits and pieces of information regarding her birth parents. Reading the message angered Serena at first. She imagined some distant cousin or a friend pulling the terrible prank on her without any concern towards her feelings or emotions whatsoever. She had initially reread the message a few times before closing shut the laptop with tears in her eyes. Serena was distraught for a while, but eventually she replied to the sender and they had a back and forth where further information was revealed to her.
Come to find out, the tasks she needed to complete were simple enough but in no time turned illegal and dangerous. However, what kept her going was a picture she was sent of herself as a very young child in the orphanage she lived at prior to her adoption. At first, Serena was running somewhat complicated errands, but then that work shifted to minor theft and other related crimes. That in turn shifted to crimes against persons. Assault, robbery...murder. Serena wasn't slowing down any time soon. Every few tasks that were completed afforded her a small clue, but whoever was operating on the other side of the screen was smart given that Serena would have to be doing this for quite a while to get a solid lead. At some point she became obsessed, and she became so reckless that her parents threw her out of their home. Their relationship then damaged, Serena wasn't looking back at that point. Soon after that she resorted to finding the person pulling her strings like a puppet. She figured if she got to them, she'd save time in finding her family. However, such betrayal came at a price, which was her freedom. Serena attempted to evade being captured for as long as she could, but one evening after running for what seemed like an eternity, she was cornered in an alley and defeated almost immediately. They obviously knew what they were up against, and ever since she's been looking for a way out to resume her search.
Capabilities: Previously being a gymnast, going as far as competing, Serena is strong, agile, and extremely flexible. She is as gracious on the air as she is on her feet.
Power(s): The ability to manipulate blood by coming into physical contact with a person or animal. This includes, and is not limited to, controlling the flow, viscosity, shape, temperature, etc. of blood. Serena is unable to manipulate any other liquid belonging to a living being, whether that's their saliva or urine. She is also able to manipulate her own blood, but would unfortunately also suffer the repercussions just like anyone else if she crossed the line into self-harm. Nonetheless, the ability is advantageous in that aspect in the event that, for example, she needed to prevent herself from bleeding to death. The larger the surface area of skin she comes in contact with, the faster her ability will work its magic. If blood is spilled, it’s as good as dead and would be rendered useless. Additionally, the host must be alive otherwise she won’t have any effect over them.
Power Limits: Once that physical contact is broken, she will immediately lose whatever power she had over a person, therefore she must be touching them at all times. The stronger a person is, either mentally and/or physically, the longer it may take her to gain control over them.
Known Vulnerabilities: Serena must be mindful of all the diseases transmittable by blood as the longer she's in contact with a victim, the more likely it is for her to catch any one of those diseases even if none of their blood gets on her. If a person is drunk, or has any level of alcohol in their system, Serena risks the same if she maintains contact for a prolonged period of time.
Motives: Eventually, Serena wants to repair her relationship with her mom and dad. She also wants to find her birth parents and get to know any other relatives she may have.
Level: TBD.
Recommended Containment Procedures: No contact whatsoever with her is permitted unless the guards handling her are clothed and covered from head to toe and she is wearing the jumpsuit especially designed for her. The latter consists of a full bodysuit with gloved hands and covered feet. Additionally, there is a restraining device attached to the wall opposite the cell door that is controlled by the guards whenever they need to enter her cell. It is locked and unlocked via remote control by one of the guards and the device is kept away from her at all times.
@Zapdos Thanks for the recommendation Zapdos, even if we haven't RP'd in awhile!
@Eviledd1984 Here's a CS, as promised. Hopefully I put decent enough breadcrumbs for why an alien would be at Thornwood rather than some lab in there. Further, though I had the idea before realizing Lurking Shadow's character had some eating-abilities, I believe the idea is far enough apart it shouldn't be a problem. If you disagree, I will of course change or think of something different!
Name
Unpronounceable in human tongue.
Known Aliases
Kailani
Age
Unknown, but appearance-wise late teens.
Appearance
There are two sides to Kailani’s appearance, the more common one around Project Borehole being an incredibly small, unassuming young girl. Standing at a whole 4’11’’, Kailani is deceptively fragile looking. She has rich dark brown hair that goes to mid back - though is usually pulled up in some capacity-, and tawny, light-brown skin with honey eyes. She has a fondness for thick cardigans and bright colors, but rarely gets access to them.
Of course, her nature can’t be entirely hidden even in this form. Despite its small stature, Kailani’s form is incredibly heavy; easily hundreds of pounds densely packed into what looks like little more than a young girl. The second tell is the most subtle, as there’s an ever-present hunger that lingers in her gaze.
These oddities are entirely down to what Kailani actually is, which isn’t human. Her species has been given the common name Devourer, a monstrous alien with never-ending hunger. Her true form is comparable to a full-size SUV, and just as heavy if not more. With thick purple plates along the sides and back, two large clawed arms, and a slavering mouth of teeth that can crush through anything a Devourer is a tank of a creature. In this form Kailani speaks in equal parts growling, chittering, and low pitches unheard to the human ear.
Psyche Profile
In many ways, Kailani could easily be described as a puppy. Excitable, curious, and hasn’t quite learned the nuance of what is and isn’t a chew toy. She is incredibly upbeat, often sporting a toothy grin and bright eyes, not shying away from even the most dangerous of beings with questions and chatter. Her own danger comes from the fact that though she appears fascinated by humans, and when properly enriched can even seem harmless - aside from talking your ear off-, Kailani is always hungry. Given the opportunity, she can and will eat even those that have bonded with her - though she seems to prefer other sources if given a choice between the two. With no choice, there isn’t a shred of hesitation or regret. She has no moral backing when it comes to her own needs, be it hunger or plain curiosity.
Speaking of, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on her at all times considering that ‘eating’ is her usual way of exploring or discovering something she’s curious about.
Background
It was a year and a half ago that Kailani’s carnage was first discovered. At first, it was assumed that a small meteor had hit one of the smaller Hawaiian Islands in the middle of the night, nothing more than a write away for excited space enthusiasts in the rumble of the impact.
Within six hours, the nearest town greeted the dawn to families gone, buildings burrowed though, and a monster excitedly bounding from building to building to break it open like a demented Kinder Surprise. To make things even more convoluted, when confronted by a superhero she couldn’t just chew through, Kailani’s form melded and morphed into what seemed to just be a happy girl, blood splattered across her lower face and fingers as she excitedly chittered and asked what they were made of.
Though eventually contained, Kailani’s arrival was marked with blood and destruction. Truly, it seemed she didn’t even understand what was wrong. She was hungry, and so she ate. She was curious, and so she ate. When superheroes traced the path back, they found the crater she must’ve arrived in, and there had to have been something that encapsulated her considering the miniscule pieces of a white plastic-like material. Predictably, it seems Kailani awoke from her sleep and promptly ate her way out of the pod. Then the rest of it.
Interrogations were an exercise in futility. Kailani appeared to be a very young Devourer, speaking of being born with dozens of siblings deep in the crust of their planet, and ending with only three of them left after the strong feasted on the weak. Trying to get any information about her planet resulted in descriptions of tastes, textures, and smells - even how she ended up on Earth deviated from talk of being transported to a new home right to how she likes how the ‘human’ bones crunch and have sauce in the middle of them. Though they did get quite a bit of information about her own species, Kailani didn’t seem to have satisfactory answers to anything outside of that. Eventually the superhero that stopped her offered to take her in. That ended poorly, when she ended up eating the arm of his other sidekick when told not to damage his base.
In truth, it’s a combination of her own danger and the fact that she’s not a very helpful subject that ended up with Kailani in Thornwood. After all, it had the facilities to keep her in line and allowed further study while keeping others away from her gaping maw. Maybe it was even a bit of green lining the pockets of others, as surely an alien that could utilize changing their very DNA would be of interest to certain studies conducted there.
Skills, Talents and Learning
Eating! … Wait, that’s not a skill? In truth, considering her short time on Earth Kailani’s most useful aspects are her powers rather than any learned skills. That being said, she can speak English and Hawaiian, and knows how to operate small boats for all its worth.
Power(s) and Capabilities
Black Hole: Kailani’s race appears to be able to consume anything that’s handed to her. Solids, liquids, acids, rocks, bones, fresh, rotten - she can digest absolutely everything, as well as bite through everything with a combination of powerful jaws and strangely coated teeth, not to mention a reinforced throat.
Adaption: This alien is also extremely adaptable to her environment, as she has to be in order to eat whatever is in it. When she eats enough of a species she can take on qualities of it in shapeshifting - but not specific ones she ate, rather just a variation of the race. As well as that, in a unique quirk it appears her very lungs will adapt to her environment to purify the air; on earth she breathes in carbon monoxide and exhales oxygen due to adapting to humans rather than something like trees. Further, her body destroys harmful pathogens she inhales.
Power Limits
Needs to eat a large amount of a species to adapt to it, and though Kailani can eat enough that her other needs or wants will become apparent, she’s never truly sated.
Known Vulnerabilities
Kailani’s biggest flaw is always going to relate directly back to her hunger. Due to her incredibly ravenous appetite, her body will begin to eat itself in as little as six hours without food, and she would die after only two days without sustenance. Further, though her true form is built like a tank, she is particularly vulnerable to mental and elemental powers. In her human shapeshift she isn’t nearly as armored, and a normal bullet would easily pierce her skin - the only exception appears to be the inside of her mouth and throat.
Motives
Hunger, hunger, hunger. Kailani longs to no longer be on this forced diet, yet even more than that she longs for something different than this place she has been confined to. When she first landed there were strange plants, small creatures, the smell of salt, the taste of blood and marrow and glass and plastic. Now it’s all grey walls and ‘portions’.
Recommended Containment Procedures
Keeping Kailani in her human form is key. She’s to be outfitted with a collar and ‘muzzle’, the latter to keep her from simply eating anything in her way, the former to shock her into unconsciousness should she try to change forms. Food intake is limited and has to be worked around the muzzle - she’s not meant to be starved, but by keeping her on strict portions she’s less energetic and more malleable with promises of food.
As an aside, she doesn't need to be fed typical food and can be used to dispose of garbage, plastics, or rot.
Notes
Tends to describe things in taste and texture rather than anything useful. Her favorite Earth food is batteries.
Known Aliases: "Sweet Poison Killer" by the newspapers, "The Adjudicator" by himself.
Age: Appears to be about 5 years old. Actual age is undetermined, though extensive testing places the century of his birth somewhere in the 1700's.
Appearance: He is always well dressed in a suit and coat, sometimes even a dockers hat.
Psyche Profile: Subject is intelligent far beyond his apparent age. He is also manipulative and disarming. He refuses to eat meat of any kind, with the notable exception of the hearts of his "worthy" victims, which he devours ravenously with relish. He also appears to have a severe distaste of being dirty or unkempt, though this only extends to his person. The filth and apparel of others he seems to pay little mind to. He does not anger easily and exhibits few to no outward symptoms of distress when angry, afraid or sorrowful, preferring to articulate these emotions verbally on the rare occasion he divluges them at all. Finally, he seems to enjoy an audience to his work and expounding on its importance to anyone who takes a genuine interest.
Background: Little is known of the truth of Lionel's birth. The few records that have been collected indicate that he may have been the illegitimate son of a European noble. What is known, however, is that he lived in England during the 1800's, always posing as the child of some prominent figure before faking his own death. He claims to have been responsible for at least one of the killings attributed to Jack the Ripper and to have knowledge of the identity of that mysterious figure, though he would not divulge it to anyone. The most accurate records are from the past two decades. With the rise of the internet bringing about an exponential growth in information sharing, rumors began to circulate about a young boy who would be seen with the victims of various murders, who were always known to be unforunate and/or kind people in their communities. At first this was merely thought of as an urban legend, but as the technology advanced, private investigators began to try and find this so called ""childlike serial killer". As they too began to go missing, the story caught public interest and the name "The Sweet Poison Killer" was born. The more attention the story got, the more frequent the kills became. Until finally, after a family of three was murdered and their hearts eaten, a federal taskforce was estsblished to hunt him down. It took them ten years to find him, despite the growing frequency of the kills, as credible witnesses were strangely hard to come by and the boy seemed to also have an uncanny habit of vanishing under the noses of onlookers and captors. After his capture, he was turned over to us and has remained here under the strictest security since.
Skills, Talents and Learning: Lionel can speak English, German and Gaelic. He is also quite adept at moving silently and has a keen interest amd insight into the motives and interests of others. He also exhibits an uncannyy patience and strength of will, resulting in his ability to hold his breath for a long period of time and stand totally still for hours on end. He is also quite adept at climbing quickly and skillfully in an acrobatic fashion. He is a deadly hand to hand combatant, using martial arts rather than any weapon and striking for vital organs.
Power(s) and Capabilities:
Ageless: His body does not grow older.
Deathless: He cannot be killed, for when his body dies, his spirit retreats to a safe place and grows a new body identical to his old one, with his old body disappearing as the new one grows. This proccess can take anywhere from a few weeks to many years, depending on the extent of the injuries to his old body.
Incorporeal: He has the ability to make his body ethereal, and therefore unable to be impacted or restrained by solid matter. This means he can wall through walls, slip through crevices etc. He uses this skill in combat to tear out vital organs. He appears semi transparent in this state.
Charm: He has the ability to convince anyone that he is harmless and friendly simply by touching them.
Power Limits: His incorporeal state cannot be maintained for longer than two concurrent hours. It is usually only used in short bursts. His charm ability does not work as effectively on those with strong wills, though even in these cases he can still prevent others from attacking him if he has touched them. His charm will naturally wear off after a week, or a day in the case of strong wills.
Known Vulnerabilities: He can still be affected and contained even when incorporeal by energy attacks and barriers, such as fire, electricity, extreme heat or cold. Unstable radiation is particularly debilitating to him, causing him to become ill and will elicit a death within 24 hours if exposed for morec than two hours. These deaths take approximately 10 years to regrow from. Furthermore, if his original body is securely contained when he dies, his spirit will reform a new body within the confines of his containment.
Motives:
Lionel has a very specific moral code. He takes upon himself the duty to "judge" others as either "worthy" or "unworthy". His basis for this decision is based on two factors: Whether a person is a benefit or a detriment to the world and people around them as well as whether they are suffering in life or are happy and content. The more suffering someone experiences and the more positive influence they are, the more likely they are to be considered "Worthy". Conversely, the less suffering one has experienced and the more negative influence they are, the more likely they are to be considered "Unworthy". However, counter to expectation, he only actually wants to kill those he considers "Worthy". He believes that by killing them he is rewarding them with eternal peace. The "unworthy" he seems content to leave alive, as he believes he is damning them to the hell on earth he will create when all the worthy have left it. That said, he has no qualms with killing those he sees as obstacles to his goal, though he will not "honor" these by eating their hearts.
Recommended Containment Procedures: High voltage, superheated or supercooled containment cell walls, floor and ceiling.
Notes: Interestingly, despite his preference for a vegetarian diet, he despises any red plant matter and refuses to eat it.
