On the topic of using legacy characters, and with the understanding that I'm actually playing a big-ticket character with an extensive portfolio, rather than a c-lister I can pretty much do what I want with, I have plans to involve Barbara Gordon as Batgirl and Dick Grayson as Nightwing in upcoming posts.

They will be effectively cameos, one-and-done guest spots of each character that won't have a lasting impact on the status of either, but if anyone was thinking about a sheet for them, or had other ideas or plans for where they were in their respective careers, do let me know so we can hash something out.

I don't have anything in the works for any other member of the bat-family, so they're free-reign (but please do consult).

About how old is Mr. Grayson? Asking for a potentially interested orange alien friend.

Yeah, recent Hickman run and it's widespread resurrections across the board.

I was a fan of Gen-X as well, it's been good seeing people have renewed interest in Everett.

By the way, I am currently working on two sheets since I've finally had an idea for a story to tell. One CS is for a villain that is closely related to a certain wall-crawler who wears red & blue underoos.

@Sep
I mostly read Marvel as I have the Marvel Unlimited streaming app (might read DC if they come out with something similar). So I’m reading a lot of the current stuff, like Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, Fantastic Four, all the X-Men related stuff, and Hulk of course. As for older series I’m reading there’s a bunch of classic Star Wars, the 70s horror stuff (currently Frankenstein), the 90s Spider-Girl, Exiles, and Mutant X. I plan to start reading some of the old X-Factor and Guardians of the Galaxy series, as I did have an inkling of an idea for both team. But I’m always looking for more classic series to read, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Its not classic as I can't recommend classic as I don't know a lot of thr classic stuff. Other than Nova which is fun, but because you mentioned it you should check out the current Star Wars stuff. Especially anything by Soule its brilliant.

So some of us have done this dance a few times.

What's a character you've never seen portrayed or an idea you've never seen that you'd like too?

One concept that I've been obsessed with, for whatever reason, is the idea of the "original" iterations of some of the bigger characters. Sort of the radically different takes that were either tweaked or completely abandoned with subsequent development. For example, Superman being considerably less powerful (not even able to fly) but very much acting as a champion of the people, all people, against the tyrannical forces of evil and a lot of the systemic ones. Batman both having no qualms with killing the occasional foe, brandishing a gun, and fighting more monsters and supernatural figures in addition to the mob. Wonder Woman being as focused on the culture of Themyscira as fighting the evils of Patriarch's World, aswell as being more of a war time figure than a superhero. Alan Scott and Jay Garrick being the only Green Lantern and Flash. And so on and so forth.

I think the bigger thing, though, is a version of events where radical reinventions are more encouraged than anything resembling the canon idea of these characters. While I love seeing and writing the classic versions of these characters, there's something very appealing about seeing a game where Bruce Wayne can literally turn into an inhuman Bat-Man or Daredevil is actually a team of ninjas mentored by Matt Murdock (Does this sound familiar, @Byrd Man...). Just people going absolutely insane with the base concepts of these guys and going off script as much as possible. I think it could work as long as a more traditional outlet still existed or, more likely, everyone got sick of the regular type of game. By itself, I feel like people (myself included) would prefer to just stick to the main idea of whoever we're playing because that's all we'd have at that moment and couldn't stretch ourselves thin with another game.

As far as characters, I don't know. I feel like I've seen people play every type of character in these games. From Darkseid to Ben Urich, there isn't really a stone that's been unturned. Maybe more alternate universe versions of characters? I know the multiverse thing is already being done to death in the movies, but I like the idea of more people playing versions of the same character and having them clash or work together.

I think the most radical idea I've had for one of these games was a version of The Question who was actually a federal agent who would have investigated supernatural and paranormal crimes all over the country on top of the usual adventures investigating political and social corruption. Took a page or two from Twin Peaks and The X-Files for the interpretation. Didn't go through with it because that was during my two year slump where I had trouble writing much of anything, but it was an idea that floated around my head for a while and might revisit someday.

I once came up with a Question that was...

...a lawyer.

*Cough*

I know... the depths of my creativity know no bounds.

My father was/is a police prosecutor

That explains a lot

Don't know why the FBI involved.
*laughs nervously*
Why would they be watching?
*closes other tabs*
No they wouldn't.
*wipes hard drive*

But for SRS, I did it once on purpose. Then I was like, no wait. It was comedic but I don't want him to think it's like... bad. So I unlaughed it, then I struggled with fat fingers on my phone.

I drive an HGV, there's a certain expected body type.

Not only did they, but he's a member of the X-Men.

And in one hell of a tragic romance.
