Power: B (S) Speed: B Range: C (S) Persistence: B Precision: B Potential: C (S)
Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: Melee/Ranged, close-to-mid range, and based upon the Moon and its qualities of changeability, magic, and madness.
Noble Arm Abilities:
La Luna's Miraculous Evasion - Noel's speed and reflexes are enhanced to levels that would surprise even an Arms Master, while fate itself contrives to partner with that speed and reflexes to make sure that Noel can dodge bullets, grenades, but not necessarily the resulting explosions, though he can dodge shrapnel and even the occasional rocket, allowing him to get into melee even when under enemy fire.
La Luna's Veil of Night - Noel can cloak himself in magic that renders him invisible, a perfect example of camouflage, and which cannot be pierced by most forms of mundane and mystic surveillance; it requires a dedicated B+rank power to reveal him (with exceptions below). This Veil, however, loses its potency from 11 AM to 1 PM, when the Sun is at its highest in the sky. Sun-themed Noble Arms, even C or D-Ranked ones, can also detect Noel's Veil and remove it.
La Luna's Power of Enchantment - When the Moon is shining in the sky (including when it appears in the daytime), Noel can duplicate a Noble Arm power he has seen, as many times as he had seen that power used. For example, Noel can duplicate a Healing Power 3 times if he's seen it used three times. This power works on all Noble Arms which are not Sun-themed; Noel cannot duplicate Sun-based NA Powers, nor can it duplicate other A-Rank NA abilities.
La Luna's Madness Inducement - When the New Moon has risen in the sky, Noel can raise up his scythe and pronounce a curse on an enemy force within sight of his natural eyes (no telescopes or digital enhancement). This curse spreads a plague of madness which causes everyone who is not a B-Rank Arms Master (or an OC/PC) to turn violent and attack their fellows, thinking that they are enemy monsters. The more blood is shed, the more the curse spreads from fellow to fellow, ending only when either the whole enemy army is dead or the New Moon sets.
And yes, this can affect an entire city, while Sun-themed NA Powers can also dispel it.
Misc Abilities: Well-read, a good dancer, knows how to arrange flowers and cook and even sew.
Personality: Noel wants to be a good person at heart, to fight for a cause worth believing in, and also to rescue his country from the clutches of China, whom he views as a plague to its own citizens. He believes that the divisions between Arms Masters and mundane folk have allowed society and the world to degrade, and is glad that they are on the verge of obsolescence due to 'The Big Three', although he does believe too that the 'Paragons of Science' are courting hubris and also hoarding power which could be used to advance Humanity for themselves...
*Likes: Sweets, Dancing, Romance (both BL and Straight).
*Dislikes: People who are too gloomy (despite his own costume and Noble Arm), War Crimes.
Fears: Being captured by the enemy, of course!
Bio: Noel was born to a family which was catapulted from obscurity in the past few decades when they began manifesting Noble Arms with increasing regularity. A natural prodigy, the boy manifested his Noble Arm at the age of twelve, and proved himself an able fighter against Muslim Terrorists in Mindanao just two years later, which was also when the old divisions were beginning to fade due to the appearance of the 'Big Three'. When the next President was elected, then it was revealed that he was planning to traffic his own voters and their children to China, Noel helped in the coup which installed the 'Government of National Salvation'.
Nevertheless, despite being a child soldier, Noel had privileges that other children lacked, such as regular psychological counseling and money, and access to friends his own age. If he was the Philippine Government's 'Guard Dog', he was a well-pampered one, and for all its worth, he genuinely loves his country and its people. He also wants to find a decent boy or girl to settle down with and is glad that his current handlers are accepting of his' being bisexual...
Height: 158 cm (5’2”) Weight: 107 lbs Build: Slender
Name: Fuyuko Yamato
Age: 15
Nationality: Japanese
Zangetsu(Moon Slayer)
Noble Arm Rank: B+
Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: Melee, Fire, Mid-Range
Noble Arm Abilities:
Flame Strike: An ability to envelope the katana in flames akin to a blast furnace. Once enchanted, the blade stays so until manually extinguished, severely burning anything it contacts, as the flames burst violently.
Blazing Wave: A power to unleash a tidal wave of flame. That splits off into a multitude of fireballs to target any enemy the user can see. The fireballs home in and cause 10-meter-radius detonations. The wave, fireballs and detonation alike do no harm to anyone the user doesn't specifically designate as an enemy and are thus harmless by default.
Amaterasu's Judgement: A passive ability. The flames created by all of the katana's other abilities grow stronger in the presence of heat, even their own. Unless extinguished, the flames will grow exponentially until nightfall.
Amaterasu's Mercy: The katana can rapidly weaken and extinguish any flame the user can see. This effect isn't instantaneous, so if they were to, for example, contest the power of another flame user, it would be a race to see who can output more power into their effects faster.
Daughter of the Sun: A passive ability. The flames created by all of the katana's other abilities are stronger under the light of the sun. At noon-day, the difference is particularly notable. Amaterasu's Mercy also is more efficient.
Misc Abilities:
Leadership: As a lieutenant of the imperial army, she has the leadership skills to lead her division to battle, but not groomed to be heir to the imperial throne.
Political Backing: Her status as the ninth imperial princess of Japan allows her to have some sort of diplomatic skill for dignitaries or if there’s persuasion needed.
Military Training: Having served the imperial army for a year of experience, she has the training to strive for Japan’s greatness in war.
Swordsmanship: Her skills in swordplay are unrivaled to other practitioners since she received training under an instructor when she was young.
Personality: Fuyuko is generally a private and reserved young woman who is constantly in the shadow of her elder brother and siblings. While females are barred from inheriting the throne of Japan, she tries to keep up an appearance of being a Japanese royal like the many other European royals with being well-informed of other political matters of other countries. Though she acts more like a very prim and proper Japanese lady, Fuyuko is not adverse to displaying tomboyish behavior at times with her hobbies. This contradicts with how the Imperial Household Agency wants her to act, so she feels a bit trapped at times.
Fears: Being touched, confined spaces, being bound or tied, crowds
Bio: Born as the ninth born daughter of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako, she had several older siblings where the younger son was the Crown Prince of Japan. In the shadow of her elder brother, she wasn’t very much groomed to be the heir and stayed out of her brother’s way. Training under an instructor of sportsmanship, she learned kendo at a young age. At her thirteenth birthday, her Noble Arms manifested under being kidnapped by a group of men who disliked the Emperor.
She was able to get away from the alleyway that they had taken her and in fear, she made the first kill in stabbing the men who tried to kidnap her. Her teenage years at school were a little lonely with the other students not wanting to incur the wrath of her father if they became friends with her. Thus, she enlisted in the Japanese Self-Defense Forces as soon as she asked her father about it, the man not wanting to see his daughter on the front lines of war, but he reluctantly let her go train in the military.
Fuyuko would later rise to the rank of lieutenant over her own merits where China was an antagonistic nation who helped the corruption of the President of the Phillipines.
*Current Goal: To change the succession law of Japan, so that if her older brother dies, she can ascend to the throne. Additionally, to prevent China from endangering other nations.
Military or Civilian Rank: Second Lieutenant of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces, Ninth Imperial Princess of Japan
Appearance: Brown hair, blue eyes, typical military uniform. There's not much to see in such a... remarkably average girl. The only notable thing about her appearance would be the bronze needle she uses as a hairclip- a family heirloom, apparently.
Height: 5"4' Weight: 134lbs
Name:Kaitlyn Price
Age:25
Nationality:American
Noble Arm Name & Appearance:N/A
Noble Arm Rank: N/A Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: N/A Noble Arm Abilities: N/A Misc Abilities: Kaitlyn is... Intelligent? Truth be told, the girl never found her true calling. She used to struggle just to make it from day to day- not because of any physical or mental handicap, but... More a spiritual one.
That's changed, however. She can't run from conflict anymore, she can't be that meek little girl hiding in a closet, waiting for everyone to lose interest in her. She needs to stand up and prove her mettle- not just for her fellow human beings, but for herself.
If she has any 'ability', it's the ability to make herself useful, no matter the danger or difficulty.
Personality: Quiet and withdrawn most of the time, Kaitlyn is easily excited when a topic she's knowledgeable is brought up. She loves sharing her thoughts (not so much her feelings), and is always eager to help anyone and everyone in any way she can.
Anything to be useful... To matter.
Likes: Electronics, video games, trivia, philosophy.
Dislikes: Violence, conflict, loud noises and bright lights.
Fears: Fire
Bio: Breezing through life, Kaitlyn was never wanting for food or shelter. She had a compassionate mother, and all but absent father, and made passing grades in school. And yet... She never knew what she was aiming for. Where she was going in life. She could never manage to make friends her age- or if she did, they disappeared as fast as they came. Life quickly became lonely. And for all she knew, the world was descending into chaos.
Humanity is divided. China is, for all she knows, trying to take over the world, and here she is worrying about what card games and friendships. She'd tried other things- she got a job, went out to clubs and larger social gatherings. And yet, they all felt so... meaningless.
At one point, she decided to just quit. That was even worse.
And then she heard the call to arms. She thought about something, then- her... condition. Maybe, if nothing else, she could try and make a change in the world? A meaningful one. She'd failed at a lo of things in life, let a lot of people down out of cowardice. No more. No more running away from trouble, from her problems. It's time to face them.
It's time to sign up and change the world.
Current Goal: To support her allies in whatever capacity she is able. Whether this be on or off the front lines, she'll find a way to make herself useful.
She has to make herself useful.

Nationality: Egyptian
Sinsetta FO | The Philosopher's Shard
Noble Arm Rank: B+
Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range:Support, Gravity??? (Close/Mid/Long)
Noble Arm Abilities: Sinsetta FO enhances latent abilities and exerts a gravitational force on the user and target. Once spoken of in ancient times, Sinsetta FO is actually a refabricated shard of the crimson Philosopher's Stone. The gold, baseball-sized sphere simply being its chosen mode of transportation. Made by the most reclusive of The Seven Virtues. A tightly guarded secret by its wielders, Sinsetta FO adapts to the holder. In Sophist' case it manifests itself on the enigmatic and pervasive force known as Gravity, allowing him to manipulate it in various ways and degrees. His degree of use is dependent on both his understanding of the force and his current level of Willpower or focus. His abilities are noted by those necessary as the following.
Enhanced Physicality, superhuman level. Though no where near Pure Strength NAs.
Gravitational Fields, push and pull. To attribute weight and lessen it.
Flight at sub-sonic speeds. An adept through his years of practice.
Conjuration through unknown means and spiritual connection. As long as he can "visualize" it and its placement, he can summon it to the leather holster on his waist.
Unknown physical transmutation. Upon first use, Sinsetta FO seemingly made him appear more like Master overtime. This is explained away by Master through alchemic means.
Misc Abilities: Spirit Force, Flowing Skyward Style of Combat. A mystic close-combat style that was taught to him by the one called Master. Its regarded by those few advanced students of the occult as deadly. The masses know nothing of it and should regard it as simple martial arts. While his martial style might be the most important, Sophist is likewise inquisitive and observant. He's also an avid studier of lost knowledge.
Personality: Both reserved and impatient, Sophist takes to conflict as thoroughly as he does to his studies of the ancient arts and peaceful resolutions. Meticulous when his attention is grasp by worldly disputes but arguably indifferent in concerns to those petty things most called negotiations, Sophist considers both himself and his time to be of the highest importance. This speaks to a level of arrogance, one he battles with daily with furious mental effort. His Master believes his path arduous but virtuous, speaking of a future yet unseen. Sophist believes his goal meaningless but trusts more in the words of his Master than the blathering of his sub-conscious angst. At the end of all things is the singular personalized ideal of a purpose. Sophist believes his is to seek penance for his whimsical faith several years ago.
*Likes: Ancient things, Pretty women, Text and Scrolls, and Noble Arms
Fears: Emotional attachments, Dark places, Vultures, Rats, Blood, Comedy and Tragedy Masks (specifically)
Bio: Sophist' past begins more or less as a boy named: Oba, whose curiosities led him to radical terrorism and eventual enslavement. The adage "Curiosity killed the cat." applied here with fascinating precision. In his search online, he believed he had found a group of like-minded individuals, his young mind uncaring for the dark subjects therein. Long story short, he was tasked with murdering his beloved dog and leaving his life behind him. He did so and joined a lackluster organization known as The Hand that Reveals.
It was more militaristic than one might think. They dispensed disruptive missions to their "Initiates", whole squads of kids and teens, across the continent of Africa. Before the age of nine, Sophist had killed up to hundreds of people through various means. When he had enough and his mind had somehow, however sudden it was, recognized his horrendous acts; he grasped with horror that he was trapped. Though a child soldier by choice at one point, he became a prisoner in the blink of an eye. A prisoner to his fears and environment. He sought freedom thereafter. On the precipice of turning eleven, he gathered other youths through fanciful speeches and intuitive suggestions. They revolted and though they won; he took on the burden of fifteen fallen comrades.
Freedom costs, he learned. Debts must be paid. It cost him his mind for a period until forces beyond his understanding brought Student and Master together.
Oba determines to repent for his sins and chances to believe in his Master.
The topic of his training is kept secret, through no magical arts you might surmise, only a sacred creed passed down from master to student. And so, we won't discuss the three year period known as "The Contemplation". At the end of which, Oba renounced his given name and took on Sophist in reverence to his station and lessons. His Master, known simply as Master, was powerful in both mind and physicality. He carried with him a Noble Arm he found half a decade ago and presented it to whom he believed it belonged too all along. Though they lived as scholars, the two shared a brotherly bond and so when goodbyes were shared by Master, it was Sophist who reassured that "All is right, and so it shall be forevermore."
Master demonstrating to Oba for the first time the power of his Noble Arms.
Thought experiments are prevalent in the teachings of the occult. It was such an experiment that revealed to Sophist his Noble Arm's ability. His Master held a strong tie to The Seven Virtues but did not require Sophist to subscribe to the same. In fact, till this day his Noble Arm, though of Seven Virtues origins, has been used of purely selfish-intent. His first major debut was neither attributed to him or well received. A thought experiment gone awry, he produced the now coined "Footprint of God" along the Nile River. His second debut was a careless action, where he made two highly-regarded political powers kneel and show respect to one another out of frustration. He became known as Sophist the Agitator as said action only caused further strife.
After which he was brough under the supervision of the Big Three, two of which was hoping to subdue and arrest his free will. Sophist has fought several Noble Arms users in this regard; The Seven Virtues being the only faction unwilling to come to blows with him. He ponders on why as he travels to the Philippines in hopes of discovering an unorthodox temple of occult study at the heart of the country. A tense, yet familiar tug on his consciousness follows.
*Current Goal: To assess the cosmic string pulling him to the Philippines.
Military or Civilian Rank: Unregistered Arm Master
Height: 152.5cms / 60.03 inches Weight: 45.8kgs / 101lbs Slightly shorter than average but at the average weight, Nemo is about as toned as a 13 year old can get without being bulky.
Name: Nemo
Age: 13
Nationality: Unknown
Noble Arm Name & Appearance:
-Vitae-
Noble Arm Rank: D+
Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: Support, Time, Reversal. Close-range.
Noble Arm Abilities:
Vitae's abilities are based on Nemo's emotional state.
Rip (Anger): Vitae's blade begins vibrating at an intense speed, making it able to cut through most things that aren't Noble Arms themselves, and making it near impossible to block even with one. This, combined with Vitae being much too big for its Arms Master, makes wielding it a challenge.
Tear (Sadness): Vitae becomes inert, making it able to deflect attacks in a unique way as nothing other than its Arms Master can cause it to move. [Think Immovable Rod from DND or something]
Shred (Happiness): Vitae shrinks to a third of its size, making wielding it much easier as it now fits Nemo's body like a weapon should.
Reverse (Determination): Vitae stops being able to cut things, instead being in contact with its blade causes things to revert to a previous point in time, in terms of its existence. Wounds heal as if they were never there, but there's little to no offensive use of Reverse.
Inverse (Agony): Any damage that Nemo is dealing with, physical, mental, emotional, etc. becomes transferable via Vitae's blade. A small cut from it will mirror the wounds Nemo has unto the target.
Misc Abilities:
Physical Fitness: Nemo is extremely agile and strong for his age. His only lacking physical attribute is durability.
Mental Acuity: Nemo is not necessarily brilliant, as he is uneducated, but is a good problem solver and quick learner.
Voice: Nemo's voice is naturally very calming and he is capable of mimicking other voices quite well.
Personality:
*Likes: Survival. Helping. Praise.
*Dislikes: Dying. Being useless. Killing.
Fears: Death. Torture. Heights.
Bio: Nemo is an unknown element up until he turned 11 years old, at which point his Noble Arms manifested. Since then he has been kept in a facility where he was experimented on, trained, and used in order to become a useful soldier for the U.S. His existence is top-secret, and is kept to only the highest members of the military, or more specifically the faction he belongs to. Which faction? If we knew, we'd be dead.
Before his abduction, he was an orphan. That's all he remembers from that time, due to the "treatments" he has had administered over time. That's all that exists in records, either.
He's been put through daily training in how to fight, especially in how to use his Noble Arms, but tactics escape him beyond the scope of himself. He will never be a military leader, and couldn't be due to this fact, which is only worsened by the induced amnesia he is put through weekly as part of his training. The only things he retains for sure are muscle memory usage of weapons, his Noble Arms, and his need to be praised. (Usually for following orders.) He once even forgot how to eat and had to be fed intravenously for a few days until he relearned how to swallow food correctly, and how much to chew it.
His early training was mostly obedience training, shock collar and all, but when it was decided to begin inducing amnesia, that training was deemed a failure. However, it seems like it stuck with him somehow, due to how desperate he is to do well for others.
*Current Goal: Survive and do what he has to in order to do so.
"I don't wish to fight people to their death, but I'll do it if I must. We’re going to survive this war, and the people will see the next sunrise."
Name: Regil Meitner Age: 17 Gender: Male Race: Noble Arms Master Nationality: United Kingdom Personality: For a 17-year-old teenager, Regil can be almost described as an early adult. He's very stoic and serious, almost as if he was a living robot, his mind existing solely to work, without any notion of joy and laughter.
However, Regil has a heart geared toward ensuring that other people survive this meaningless tragedy. Instead of having a high-and-mighty attitude due to his social standing among others, he believes that it’s his duty as a noble to grant respite and survival to the classes lower than him. As such, he takes all diligence necessary to ensure that his peers are comfortable and alive.
Regil also dislikes the idea of power abuse by those who have higher echelons in society. To him, having more power means more responibilities towards the ones who doesn’t have the same opportunity.
One thing that Regil also doesn’t believe is in the concepts of “luck” and “coincidence”. To him, everything happens because someone has already predicted and planned beforehand, so the idea of something happening out of nowhere, without any reason or explanation, is simply unfathomable to him.
Likes: chess and other games of strategy, seeing his peers alive, white flowers, butterflies, sewing and embroidery;
Dislikes: power abuse, concepts of “luck” and “coincidence”, unreasonable actions, people who don’t follow the strategy;
Fears: seeing innocent people die, suicidal missions, scorpions, torture.
Bio: Regil is the youngest of two siblings of the famous Meitner Estate, a powerful noble family from England, in the United Kingdom region. He currently lives with his father, his mother, and his eldest sister Regina. His mother was a previous Noble Arms master, while his father was a distinct general and strategist for the British National Army.
The motto of the Meitner family is "Mind over muscle, strategy over strength". Instead of raising grand warriors who are unbelievably powerful, to the point of being called superheroes or even demigods, both Regil and Regina were created as strategists, having their entire focus on how to overwhelm their opponent not with brute force, but with calculated plans and devised tactics to not let them slip out of their hands and obtaining the most "elegant" victory against their foes.
Of the two children, Regil was the one who was born with the capability of wielding a Noble Arm. Thus, his mother kept herself in charge of training her son in order for him to awaken his very own Noble Arm. Under her wing, he studied the existence of Noble Arms in the past ever since he was a child.
When Regil completed 14 years of age, his Noble Arm manifested itself in the form of a tome. While he was holding a book composed of professional chess strategies, which dated almost from the game's creation, the book suddenly received strange energy from Regil and became a tome. From it, he was able to summon familiars in the shape of chess pieces, although more human-like than what an actual chess set shows.
His mother took him to the next steps of training. Initially, he could only summon a familiar at a time, and the restrictions the Arm placed upon him were pretty severe. However, the harsh training he was put through made him able to improve his control of the Noble Arm's power, while he still never put it into practical use.
One day, Regil received a letter from his sister not too long ago. It seems that the southeast part of Asia was suffering major losses with the recent problems regarding the misusage of Noble Arms. She didn't explain it too much but sent him a recommendation to join the main army, though not ensuring Regil would serve in the same unit she was currently placed in. However, Regil's faith in his sister was thoroughly firm, so he believed there was a good reason behind Regina's sudden call for his help.
Regil took a plane directly to the base where Regina was staying, located in the Lingayen Gulf, in the Phillippines. There, he reunites with his sister, and his new fate starts to whirl... Current Goal: To survive another day, accompanied by others. Misc Abilities: Regil has a talent to quickly learn and adapt to a situation or crisis, as taught by his father. He also has a good hand with embroidery, so he likes to sew every once in a while. Military or Civilian Rank: To be recruited. Main Theme:Sanctity Battle Theme:Sleepless Lamp
Noble Arm Name: Chess Imaginarium Noble Arm Rank: C-
Power: D+
Speed: B
Range: B-
Persistence: C-
Precision: B
Potential: D
Noble Arm Type: Tome Noble Arm Element: Non-Elemental Noble Arm Range: Varies between each of the Pieces' functions. Noble Arm Abilities: Chess Imaginarium is a tome that gives Regil the power to manipulate familiars in order to attack and defend himself on the battlefield. These familiars, as the name implies, come in the form of human-like chess pieces, each of them with a specific function. The Pieces, as Regil himself calls them, aren't sentient on their own, and can only follow his orders. With his Noble Arms in tow, Regil can summon and manipulate the Pieces from afar, though limited to a 100m distance between him and them, or they'll instantly disappear.
As said before, each of the Pieces has a specific function, which allows Regil to take varied roles on the battlefield. He cannot summon an infinite supply of Pieces, however, so he has to meticulously plan which Piece adapts to the better situation, considering how unique each of them are.
One major flaw with Regil's Noble Arms is the fact that he's completely dependent on the Pieces to fight, as the tome's primary function is to give him the power to summon them in the first place.
The Pieces:
As explained earlier, the Pieces are the familiars owned by Regil and capable of being summoned to the battlefield by Chess Imaginarium. These Pieces have a different form each. Pieces are human-like illusions/holograms that are physically stronger than a normal human. They are faster, their own "weapons" hit harder than normal, and they are quite elusive.
They don't have a mind of their own, sharing their intellect with Regil, who commands them from afar and gives them directions and orders through mind communication. Thus, no one else can order the Pieces outside of Regil, even if he were to summon them for another specific functionality.
Also, while they are human-like, they aren't durable, though. Each of them has a specific number of hits that they can take overall and cannot be summoned altogether at once. Some of the pieces allow diversity and multiplicative summoning, but this depends on Regil's strength in mastering his Noble Arm.
The Rook: The Rook takes the form of a simple soldier that wears light armor and uses a short sword. They are the simplest of the Pieces when it comes to attacking since they only use a sword, able to endure a single hit before completely vanishing. Regil can summon up to three Rooks at the same time, and they have a 45 seconds recharge time once they're broken before they can be summoned again.
The Bishop: The Bishop takes the form of an elderly bishop wearing Catholic church robes and uses a staff. They attack using projectiles made of magical energy, though possessing no element whatsoever. However, like the Rook, they can only endure a single hit before completely vanishing. Regil can summon up to two Bishops at the same time, and they have a 2 minutes recharge time once they're broken before they can be summoned again.
The Knight: The Knight takes the form of a soldier wearing heavier armor, mounted on a horse, and uses a lance. They attack with their horses and with their lances, with the distinction of being the fastest of the pieces since it's mounted. The horse and the soldier can take a single hit each, meaning that The Knight takes two hits in total. Regil can summon up to two Knights at the same time, and they have a 3 minutes recharge time once they're broken before they can be summoned again.
The Tower: The Tower takes the form of a fortress tower without any soldiers of its own. The Tower has a defensive function compared with the rest of the Pieces, being able to protect whoever is standing inside of it. Thanks to this function, the Tower lasts for five hits, being the most durable of the Pieces. Regil can summon two Towers, but cannot summon them for the same person, and they have a 5 minutes recharge time once they're broken before they can be summoned again.
The Queen: The Queen takes the form of a distinguished lady of the court, wearing a simple tiara on her head and a beautifully woven dress, using a staff as a weapon. Being the second most powerful of the Pieces, the Queen can cast a variety of long-range projectiles, such as beams, waves, lances, and other attacks. Also, while she is on the field, the power of Regil's allied members' Noble Arms increases whenever they are using their magical properties. The Queen lasts for three hits. Regil can summon only one Queen, cannot summon another type of Piece if it's on the field, and it has a 1 hour recharge time once they're broken before they can be summoned again.
The King: The King takes the form of a distinguished man of the court, wearing a huge crown on his head and lustrous armor designed for royalty, using a sword and shield as weapons. The King attacks in close-distance range, but his shield can block incoming attacks, which are not considered hits. Also, while he is on the field, Regil's allies gain a slight boost to their physical properties, which include running speed, arm strength, and other similar stats. The King lasts for three hits. Regil can summon only one King, cannot summon another type of piece if he's on the field, and it has a 1 hour recharge time once they're broken before they can be summoned again.
"This is war, not a playground. If you don’t have the guts to spill blood, leave this place to those with the actual courage to do it."
Name: Regina Meitner Age: 21 Gender: Female Race: Noble Arms Master Nationality: United Kingdom Personality: Despite her rather regal and innocent looks, Regina is a cold-hearted soldier whose gaze strikes nothing more than fear in whatever person comes her way, and who makes up for her lack of experience on the field with all the military practice and education she received from her father when she was just a young child.
She has little to no qualms about the expenses of being on the frontline if necessary, going somewhat against her family’s motto most of the time. This is because Regina’s lack of trust in others makes her believe that, unless she is on the field, whatever strategy she composes might end up in failure because she wasn’t there to supervise its execution.
Speaking of it, Regina follows rules and orders with absolution. She doesn’t accept going out of the route that has been already set, and doesn’t believe in “leaving things to luck and fate” as she considers these notions completely ridiculous and nonsensical.
Also, she doesn’t make an effort to be social. All that she wants is to achieve victory over her opponent, and her comrades are not supposed to be her partners or friends, but acquaintances sharing a common goal and a battlefield, but nothing else.
Finally, despite having a Noble Arm of her own, Regina doesn’t believe that her new “weapon” is absolute since she had to spend years fighting for her life without the necessity of a magical weapon.
Likes: Horror stories, true crime investigation;
Dislikes: people who don’t follow orders, “leaving things to luck and fate”, losses;
Fears: her own death.
Bio: Regina is the eldest of two siblings of the famous Meitner Estate, a powerful noble family from England, in the United Kingdom region. She lived with her father, her mother, and her younger brother Regil, but has been away from home for 3 years in military service. Her mother was a previous Noble Arms master, while her father was a distinct general strategist for the British National Army.
Of the two children, Regina wasn’t the one who was born with the capability of wielding a Noble Arm. Thus, her mother kept herself in charge of training his daughter to serve in the military as a strategist. Under his wing, she studied and trained in military tactics ever since she was a young girl.
When she completed 18 years old, Regina was sent to war as a simple soldier. While initially regarded as a “pretty noble” selected as an eventual replacement, the army eventually noticed her prowess in combat and tactical warfare, proving her to be just as good as any soldier in the field. In two years, Regina made up the ranks and became a Private.
During her 2nd year in the field. Regina awakened a Noble Arm during a mission on the field, much to her disbelief. While surrounded and alone during a mission, she heard a voice calling over her, questioning if she wanted help. She instinctively said yes, and a dagger appeared right in front of her. It unsheathed itself without her touch, and claws made of darkness started to attack her enemies, leaving them completely injured. She was able to escape with the dagger in tow.
Now that she was a Noble Arm Master, Regina was assigned to a new mission in the Phillippines. However, because of her "irregular" strategies and risky moves, she was displaced from the main army and assigned to a "black ops" unit, alongside the rest of her team. The original intention of the Army was to dismiss her in general, but her father pulled some connections and cards that allowed her to stay in the military, even though indirectly. She was given the explanation of being a primary candidate to lead a special unit led by an Arm Master, although separately from the main army. As such, she accepted the position, without much discussion.
However, because she wasn’t exactly knowledgeable enough about Noble Arms, and her duties consumed a lot of her time, she decided to call someone to help her on her new journey: her younger brother, Regil. Current Goal: To not die on the battlefield, no matter what she has to pull off. Misc Abilities: Because of her training, Regina is a very good explorer, having better survival skills than a normal human would do. She also has really good aim and is pretty skilled with a gun. Military or Civilian Rank: Second Lieutenant of the "Noble Arm Special Unit". Main Theme:Witch Trials Battle Theme:Old Fear
Noble Arm Name: Stake of Salem Noble Arm Rank: B-
Power: B+
Speed: D+
Range: D
Persistence: D
Precision: D
Potential: B
Noble Arm Type: Knife Noble Arm Element: Darkness Noble Arm Range: Melee Noble Arm Abilities: Stake of Salem is a magical knife that allows Regina to manipulate darkness. This specific darkness, called The Witch, takes the form of a cape that surrounds her, with red eyes floating amidst the dark energy, all wide open and seemingly hungry for whatever Regina is facing.
The knife serves not only its function to cut, but also to command the energy to take different forms and attack enemies, similar to a maestro’s baton to the orchestra. With it, Regina can make it so that this heavily dark energy can attack at will.
However, The Witch has a mind of its own. It doesn’t necessarily obey Regina whenever she orders it and tends to go violent, more than necessary sometimes, which can be very detrimental in missions where the objective is to capture the enemy alive, and the power goes and kills the target.
There’s also the fact that, despite Regina’s solid mind, she will be tormented by the voices of the Witch, which will continue to curse and diminish her, in order to take her mind and control Regina as a human vessel.
The Witch: As explained earlier, The Witch is the energy that Regina uses to attack. This mysterious creature, born out of Regina's fear of dying alongside her Noble Arm, is a sentient spirit that "haunts" her wielder. The Witch's single intention is to kill whatever she wants, with or without regard to Regina's consent, as her objective is to not let Regina die so that she can keep cursing her owner into becoming her vessel. Its voice has the tone of a young girl, who speaks innocent yet profane words to constantly eat at its owner's mind. As such, the spirit will constantly torment Regina in order to make the girl give up her own body.
However, The Witch is not invincible. It can be hurt by weapons and Arms that directly attack her, making it retreat into the cape of darkness that surrounds Regina. Each time it is directly attacked, it takes 5 minutes to start rampaging again.
Also, The Witch itself, while having a mind of its own, has an almost completely deteriorated intellect, so it can easily go berserk and not differentiate friend from foe. These moments happen even more often when Regina is damaged, which is a "stake" in the plans of the spirit to take over her body.
Osbourne's Heresy: The Witch attacks with a giant claw towards the closest enemy to Regina. Can attack up to three times.
Good's Rejection: The Witch attacks with a giant kicking leg towards the closest enemy to Regina. Can attack up to two times.
Tituba's Fears: The Witch uses a distorted scream to immobilize whoever is near Regina. It affects allies who are near her as well.
Nurse's Disbelief: The Witch shields Regina with her hands.
Perris' Accusation: The Witch uses its power to make a single enemy become able to listen to its voice and curses the enemy into submission and immobilization.
Williams, the True Witch: The Witch's final power. By consuming Regina's own energy and making her immediately unconscious, the Witch takes the form of a monstrous wraith and starts rampaging through the field. In this form, which is kept by the time limit of 1 hour, the Witch is invulnerable and cannot take damage from any attack. This power can only be activated if Regina's vital force is near incapacitation or near death, and cannot be used otherwise.
"A gentleman’s job is to protect his peers. Now then, allow me to lend you all a hand."
Name: Willard Sterrennacht Age: 32 Gender: Male Race: Noble Arms Master Nationality: Netherlands (birthplace), United States of America (jus sanguinis), United Kingdom (citizenship) Personality: Willard presents himself as an overly amicable and sociable person, being very caring and talkative with his peers. He gives the aura of someone reliable and to easily confide in, as a sort of bigger brother. He also passes the vibe of being understanding of people’s differences and being really accepting of any notions from the present world.
This personality, while not entirely, is a facade to hide Willard’s nature of someone who’s highly observant and one who collects information, personal or professional, to aid his own work as an agent of the MI6. He can also be very intimidating and has no fear of using his collected knowledge to his favor in whatever scenario he finds himself in.
Willard’s also a “charm magnet”, whether he likes it or not. He’s the center of attention, to any interested males and females, although he does nothing to actually call that attention to himself. This becomes a hassle during his missions to collect information because he always gets dragged on a date or has to conform with anyone forcefully pushing a gift onto him.
Another trait from Willard, and one that works against him, is the fact that he somewhat cares for the bonds he forms during his missions. While his field of work tends to ask for his neutrality towards anyone without reservation, he sometimes slips because of this trait, which ends up causing problems because he’s put into situations where he has to choose between emotion and reason.
Likes: iced coffee, white flowers, winter, ice cream, the sea, ice skating;
Dislikes: corruption, social class abuse, hot food and beverages, unclean and unkempt people;
Fears: being dismissed by the MI6 for failing a mission.
Bio: Willard Sterrennacht was born in the city of Eindhoven, in the southern province of North Brabant. While born in the Netherlands, his father Andrews hails from Virginia, USA, while his mother Carolien is dutch, so he has more than one nationality.
He lived his childhood in his hometown before his father got a transfer from his workplace to Bristol, in the United Kingdom. He moved with his family right when he was 6 years old, so he lived not too much in Eindhoven, to the point where his memories are all but really distant and vague to him. Once arriving and with all procedures done, the Sterrenacht family became citizens of the United Kingdom, adding even one more nationality to Willard’s shoulders.
During most of his time as a kid up to his teen years, Willard was always charmed by spy movies, from the classics to the newer ones. That drove him to pursue a dream of becoming an agent for the United Kingdom’s Secret Intelligence Service, also known as MI6, which was a surprise to both of his parents since they never imagined that he would ever choose such a path, despite his love for spy movies.
Having that defined as his goal, Willard started some “self-training” on how to become an agent amidst his studies. He also decided that he wanted to be a different type of agent, one who could use his charisma to obtain information outside of the usual spy routine.
When he graduated college at 24 years old, he applied to become an agent within MI6. After taking all the necessary tests and interviews, Willard was accepted, although just barely because of his rather charismatic point of view. Still, he was excited to begin his life as a trainee agent and to serve his country.
And so, that excitement turned into valuable effort because Willard showed impressive progress from all the selected trainees and started to climb up the ladder at a quicker rate than one could have ever imagined. By the time when he completed 29 years old, he was already a Senior Agent, which surprised most of his superiors.
By the time it happened, the already existing problem with Noble Arms became more significant and alarming in Europe, with the number of Arms Masters growing by the day, as well as the rise in the power abuse coming from these wielders. While the MI5 already had their hands tied with the internal problems in the country, the MI6 was ordered to send their agents outside the country to investigate how the problem seemed to be taken care of and relay that information so that the United Kingdom could diminish these issues at hand.
Willard was employed to observe any suspicious activities in the neighboring countries to the United Kingdom, with the objective of seeing if there could be a risk of any insurgences close by, which would allow the military force and allied Arms Masters to prepare for conflicts between the UK and other countries.
Being sent to Denmark in the middle of the winter, he had to experience harsh cold temperatures. During a mission where he was following activities from a group of rogue Arms Masters at Helsingor, he ended up getting caught. He had a gun, but the conditions were so severe that the weapon was frozen and ended up not working. At that time, he heard a “call” offering him the power to escape. He accepted it, and so his own Noble Arm awakened. Using his newfound power, he defeated his opponents and gathered the information he came after.
As he returned to the MI6, he gave the information collected and also revealed his own Noble Arm. The shock was big, and they decided to put Willard onto “observation” so that he could be assessed as an Arm Master. This period allowed Willard to train his Noble Arm while helping his superiors to know about the potential behind the weapon in question. After the observation period was over and Willard’s power as an Arm Master was assessed, he was let go, as his data was now accessible.
Just as he was freed, China declared war on the world. The ASEAN War began and its initial sparks began to affect the world.
Willard is called to the office and is hit with a new mission. Apparently, a military force has been sent by the British Army. However, while the investigation is still in process, the MI6 is convinced that the documents to order this force were all forged by someone in the military with connections to Ashnard Meitner, a famous ex-strategist of the British Army. Not only that, but both his children, Regil and Regina, were involved in this “black ops” and had already departed. Under these circumstances, the MI6 was ordered to tackle a full investigation on the Meitners and gather as much evidence as it can in order to start a full case against them.
With those orders, Willard departs to the Phillippines, where he is tasked to “assist” and observe Regil and Regina Meitner, and gather evidence to help with the case... Current Goal: To observe and gather information on the Meitners by “assisting” Regil and Regina. Misc. Abilities: Willard has a sharp and silver tongue, so he is pretty able to gather information easily with his words and “pretty looks”. Other than that, he also excels in espionage routines and has a good hand for first aid procedures. Military or Civilian Rank: Senior Agent of MI6, currently placed on the International British Military Affairs investigation. Noble Arm Name: Aureus Stella Noble Arm Rank: B
Power: B-
Speed: C~B
Range: B~A
Persistence: B
Precision: D~C
Potential: B
Noble Arm Type: Rifle (Sniper) Noble Arm Element: Cold Noble Arm Range: Melee/Ranged Noble Arm Description: Aureus Stella is a Noble Arm that allows Willard to generate and manipulate cold. Despite itself being a rifle, Willard can also attack with ice projectiles instead of simply shooting bullets. The Noble Arm is always generating ice energy and is constantly at low temperatures at all times. The ice created with its energy is more resistant and sharper than usual ice, making it deadlier than usual. It also gives Willard, as its wielder, immunity to ice attacks and higher resistance to freezing attacks, meaning he can easily get himself out if he ends up being frozen. Noble Arm Abilities: Cryokinesis: As stated before, the basic ability coming from this Noble Arm is the ability to generate and manipulate cold, meaning Willard can create cold constructs whenever he wishes to, as long as his Noble Arm is manifested and at his hand. Willard can also change the size and shape of the constructs he generates outside of the cold mist from his weapon.
As a cryokinetic fighter, Willard also has immunity to cold energy and temperatures, so he is completely unbothered if placed on a mission to a location where the temperatures are low, and has a higher resistance to negative temperatures. He also has a colder touch and presence, meaning his own temperature is lower and he can freeze objects and people. Because of the lower temperature of his body, he can cause hypothermia and frostbite by touching people who aren't used to really low temperatures.
However, as nature would have it, Willard is naturally weaker to heat and fire elemental attacks, receiving double damage if attacked with those elements. Heat radiated by fire does count on this prospect. While he doesn't get weaker if fighting under direct and natural sunlight, his own attacks will deal half of the damage they are supposed to if the enemy is able to create a heat or fire area to trap him.
Areas can also hinder Willard’s power, depending on the terrain and climate. While he can be very powerful and flexible in areas like a lake, a mountain, or a humid forest, places like beaches and deserts are completely detrimental to Willard since they are naturally hotter in temperature and sand is the worst type of terrain for a cryokinetic fighter. When it comes to artificial settings like streets and buildings, that becomes entirely dependent on the day’s temperature, meaning hotter days aren’t optimal for street fights.
It’s also important to notice that Willard’s cold isn’t extraordinary so the same slippery physics applies to his attacks. In case he decides to use it as some terrain trap, others must be mindful that it’s still ice at the end of the day.
Artistic Sculpture: Willard has the ability to shape the cold he creates to become additional weapons, such as swords, daggers, etc., as well as other objects if he so desires such as chairs, tables, etc. He can also use this power to shape the ice into ammunition, such as bullets and arrows, but he can't create rockets or any ammunition that needs to be used by a tank or any heavy artillery, because the firing method behind these machines involves heat, which makes the projectile melt faster.
Defensively, Willard can create portable shields made of cold or even large cold crystals in order to defend against area attacks.
Another useful power is the ability to change his mobility by creating cold skating blades under his shoes, allowing him to slide and go faster. The skating blades can also be used offensively whenever he wishes, serving as additional weapons to use whenever Willard is attacking with his foot.
The problem is that this is still cold, so handling it is still a problem because of its temperature, its slippery nature, and its fragility. While they can be strong and sharp as a normal weapon would, they aren't exactly durable and sturdy so a real weapon can break anything it creates in 1 to 3 hits max.
Glacier Drop: Willard is also able to create glaciers and drop them from the sky. By focusing on a determined area, he can gather cold and shape said glacier, which can take up to 50m in diameter and can be shaped as a cube, sphere, stalagmite, etc. And because of the nature of this attack, this ice is very resistant and can take more hits than usual, as well as melting far slower in case the fight is being taken on areas that are hot.
But this power is less immediate than his ability to shape cold. It takes up to 30 minutes for Willard to actually be able to shape a glacier, whether it is in the sky or in the ground. He has to concentrate really well and not be disturbed by anything, otherwise, the shaping will stop and the ice will rise or fall as it is, meaning the attack can be made weaker by enemy disruption.
Also, because of the destructive nature of the power, it’s completely imprecise and it can harm allies just as much as it can harm enemies. If Willard doesn’t plan where to drop the glacier before using his power, he could easily commit “friendly fire” and hinder his allies in the process. Even if he plans, however, because of how fights naturally go, he might hit someone even if he never intended to or warned them before because of them getting in the area of effect during the course of the battle.
Also, because the glaciers are big and really heavy, and laws of physics are applicable all way around, it comes down really fast from the sky and it crashes so heavily that the glacier can even cause a tremor. This can disrupt both his enemies and his allies.
Mist of the North: While the Noble Arms is manifested, it'll keep releasing cryokinetic energy in the form of a blue-colored mist around Willard, tracing every movement he makes.
He can absorb back into his own weapon to further enhance his attacks, such as shooting cold lasers from his rifle or shooting a lethal freezing bullet, as well as stacking them for reserve usage (explained in the next ability). He can also instantly freeze the mist into icicles. This means that the mist is more than a visual effect and allows him to execute various additional attacks in unpredicted formats since the mist can be shaped into various forms.
The mist itself, however, doesn't do any damage if Willard doesn't actually freeze it. Also, while it is cold, it doesn't freeze people by itself and it isn't exactly useful on that end either since it mostly follows Willard around.
Also, Willard cannot decide to shape the mist as he wishes since it has motion tracking, specifically his own. It may be possible to shape it into various forms, but what form it will become depends entirely on Willard's movement.
Fragments of the North: As stated before, Willard can charge his attacks by absorbing the cold mist back in his weapon, but it doesn't mean that it needs to be immediately used. He can save this additional energy in the shape of floating small crystals that circles around him, allowing him to create a reserve of stacked energy that can be used afterward. Once he reloads these crystals into his Noble Arm, he can instantly release a charge attack.
However, these crystals are physically present in the field and are destroyable. Despite their small size, they are still visible to the human eye and easily fragile, taking only one hit to destroy them. Each generated crystal also has a time limit of 1 hour to be used before it breaks apart into a mist that, in this case, cannot be re-utilized, meaning that Willard needs to absorb his Noble Arm's mist again to create another one.
Gate to the Arctic: By concentrating all of his power on the spear, Willard can use a last resort move which he calls Gate to the Arctic. This move is a fierce cold storm around him and affects the wind, terrain, and sky, with a 100m radius. Once he uses the move, the temperature drops below -50°C and he deals severe damage to his enemies surrounding him, as well as having a higher chance to freeze than his normal attacks.
Willard has to concentrate all of his power on Aureus Stella for it to work. The more power he concentrates, the more powerful the storm will be. Its range can also change, as Willard can use it as a frontal attack with a frontal 100m~200m arc range, or a surrounding attack with a 100m~200m diameter circular attack.
However, because of the destructive and immediate nature of this power's release, it’s highly imprecise and it can harm allies just as much as it can harm enemies. At the moment Willard releases this power, “friendly fire” is unavoidable. This move doesn’t select who it hits even less than his attacks normally do, so allies need to stay far away from him if they don’t want to get hit. And because of this move’s attack property, it instantly disables Aureus Stella and Willard cannot summon it again for 8 hours.
Daedalus is a Noble Arm that is well, quite literally a right arm. Replacing Lucy’s arm entirely, the NA appears as a metal prosthetic with a bone white main coloration and a golden trim along the edges of joints. With the abilities Daedalus has, whenever it opens up, it reveals a complex mechanism of brass-looking gears and hydraulics that move in correlation to Daedalus’s movements. Of course, being a magic weapon, these have no functional impact on Daedalus, and striking them does little to the Noble Arm. When moving, the NA frequently clicks due to the internal mechanisms, though this has no impact on Daedalus’s functionality. Daedalus maintains near-perfect movement of an actual human limb and doesn’t initially appear to be a proper weapon, though its abilities certainly betray that appearance. When the NA is not in use, Lucy simply doesn’t have a right arm, a bone white metal plate being at the base of the arm instead.
Noble Arm Rank: B+
Power: C-B Speed: B-D Range: D-B Persistence: B-D Precision: A (S) Potential: C
Note: Due to Daedalus's abilities being configurable, this expanded rank sheet demonstrates that capability. Left values are lower end, right values being on the higher end, in relation to time.
Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: Melee/Ranged, Force/Change, Close
Noble Arm Abilities: Daedalus has interesting and powerful combat abilities, while also visually changing the Noble Arm in the process.
Raijin's Burst - On the surface, Raijin's Burst seems like a fairly simple ability. Daedalus is capable of emitting a powerful wave of force traveling at the speed of sound from the hand’s palm. This ability takes a moment to prepare itself to be used, notably, a metal flap on the back of the hand of the NA raises up, and two on the sides of the forearm open as well. When a Raijin's Burst is triggered, these flaps snap shut, releasing a blast of varying strength, though it can also close without triggering a blast. The stronger the blast, the longer these flaps have to stay open. The power of said blast can either be weak enough to barely move a small plant, or strong enough to destroy concrete with rebar support, snap steel I-beams, and stop a charging adult elephant. The area Raijin's Burst effects can also be tuned, anywhere from a large cone in front, to a narrow beam, though narrowing it past a roughly 45° cone will not increase the effectiveness of the attack.
Raijin's Burst also can selectively target, but the effects are minor. Those the blast is not intended to get hit will not go deaf and experience a reduced (but significant) impact, however those intended to be hit by it will receive the brunt of the attack, alongside likely going deaf due to the massive pressure change experienced. Lucy notably cannot go deaf from using Raijin's Burst, and experiences little to no recoil that you would expect from an attack like this.
Prometheus’s Chains - This ability is far more utilitarian than Daedalus’s other abilities. When active, three chains fly towards a target of Lucy’s choosing at any angle, tipped by a bladed head each, with a maximum range of 50 meters. Unlike a regular chain, this ability functions more like a set of tails, capable of turning mid flight or hanging in the air. These blades can slice through anything short of a steel alloy, or wrap around an object and move it. A simple example is Lucy using this ability to grab an object and bring it towards her, say a gun. Notably, Lucy doesn’t experience stresses you would expect from lifting something up with these chains, it costs stamina, but doesn’t impact her body, as if she was never lifting something at all. These chains have an upper limit for weight akin to a 2022 Ford F-150, though it should be noted that this is the absolute upper limit, being unable to lift with ease. These chains also exhibit another special trait. At the cost of making the chains breakable with firearms or another sufficiently strong attack, they can “lock” to a target. These chains will stay attached until broken, let go of, or something causing Lucy to run out of energy, though all three chains must be touching close to each other in order to lock. This allows Lucy to peel back metal or tear apart smaller objects at the cost of stamina. Lucy can also detach the chains from Daedalus, followed by them automatically dissolving after 20 seconds. If detached or broken, this incurs an additional stamina penalty as Daedalus recovers from the detachment.
Dragon’s Fang - Daedalus’s melee ability, shifting each finger into an impossibly sharp object. No matter the direction a strike comes from, if it can be cut by Daedalus, it will cut it. The activation of this ability prevents Raijin's Burst from being used until Daedalus reverts back. Like with the other offensive abilities, a target not intended to be hit will result in the NA bouncing off it without creating more harm than if you were to be punched by it. The tips of each of Daedalus’s fingers also turns a blood red, though this has no effect on the combat performance of Dragon’s Fang. Typically, Daedalus cannot cut through tougher metals, but it can easily claw through kevlar, aluminum, and slice into bone. While other Noble Arms can have a superior ability to slice through things, the Dragon’s Fang ability is no slouch.
The Blessing of Daedalus - The collective name for Daedalus’s passive abilities when in use. Daedalus, like most other Noble Arms, is significantly tougher than most armors. Daedalus can also exhibit significantly more strength than a traditional human arm despite being significantly heavier than most arms. Despite this, it’s not a good idea to attempt to use Daedalus to carry something heavier than what Lucy’s skeleton can handle, as bones will fracture. Daedalus also does not give any sensory input, meaning Lucy cannot feel the object she is interacting with.
God’s Vortex - The only defensive ability Daedalus has, when in use, the top of the forearm near the end of the arm opens up and visibly grows in size. After that is done, the solid piece of metal separates into smaller fragments vibrating at immense speed, resulting in humming from Daedalus. While it is vibrating, an invisible shield appears in front of the arm, catching large projectiles like high velocity tank shells. Each pellet from any sort of shotgun round counts as their own projectile, while grenades or other explosives bounce off without affecting the shield at all. Anything larger or with too much kinetic energy will pass straight through the shield. After 10 seconds passes or the shield absorbs a significant amount of kinetic energy, the projectiles are dropped and a large cloud of smoke erupts from Daedalus, temporarily obscuring the immediate area. This allows Lucy to escape engagement. After usage, Daedalus’s active abilities cannot be used for some time, proportional to how much energy was absorbed. If a low amount of energy is absorbed, it results in a fairly quick recovery, while a large amount of energy absorbed results in it being unusable for about 15 minutes.
Misc Abilities: Lucy has quite a knack for mechanical engineering, despite typically only having one arm. She generally spends her free time messing about with mechanical constructs, particularly enjoying building things with LEGO Technic parts. She also has quite the talent for getting into trouble and getting out just as fast, whether that be convincing the other person to back down, or demonstrating her Daedalus to scare them. Despite not being a good judge of character, Lucy exhibits quite the talent of interrogating people, that skill coming from her interesting and not so noble past.
Personality: Lucy is many things, but she is neither openly friendly or openly hostile towards people around her. To most, she comes across as cold, but not in the sense that she dislikes them, moreso it’s just how she is. While Lucy is quite capable of following orders, she will calmly speak out against things she doesn’t like, expecting people to listen closely. Outside of combat, Lucy’s demeanor doesn’t change much. While she, of course, won’t harm people unless they attack her, she is quick to strongly warn them to back off. Despite all this, she is quick to help out others, so long as laws she sees as just in the situation aren’t broken. Lucy also can be noted to have an interesting set of morals, while she’s not immoral, it comes across more like she doesn’t properly know what is right, influenced by her gang history.
Fears: Harm to her Family, harm to the person she is seeking out, her death, and harm to those she likes. Quite simple, really.
Bio: Lucy was born into a gang in the New England area, but relocated across the country several times. Due to the presence of Arms Masters, bigger gangs were able to form, both targeting lower Arms Masters and those targeting particularly hateful civilians. The gang Lucy grew up in, called by her as the Family, targeted aggressive persons and aggressive lower Arms Masters, being quite effective at it. This led to some groups hating them, of course, but their more vigilante-like action led to some deals with police departments around where they were at the time. They helped the police, the police ignored them. Lucy herself was homeschooled, and introduced into this life from a young age. Taught to defend herself and fight others, she became quite capable of protecting herself.
This all changed in the early 2000s, when The Big Three rose up. The gang was plunged into chaos, as everything around them seemed to break down. The Family stayed together, in these troubled times, they couldn’t afford to fall apart. The Family stayed together, even if the resulting chaos hurt them. People now weren’t just born with Noble Arms, they could get them. One such person, whom the Family ruined their life, came rushing after them. A lowly E rank, he knew about Lucy, even though the Family thought she was a well hidden secret. He jumped her on her way to strike a deal with another gang, sure he would slice her in two. Nobody knew that Lucy had a Noble Arm, not even herself.
In an instantaneous moment, Daedalus appeared, entirely replacing her arm. Before anyone knew what happened, a Burst was fired with a massive crack, throwing the assailant onto his ass and his Noble Arm down the alleyway they both were in. Lucy was still trying to process what just happened, when the attacker got up and threw a punch, it struck, but Lucy punched back with all of her strength. Daedalus was stronger than she expected, shattering the E class’s neck and fracturing the base of his skull, killing him near instantly. After this, she went into hiding, coming to accept the fact that she no longer had a regular arm. She made her way back to her Family, surprisingly enough they were accepting enough of her new position as an Arms Master, although some worried about the attention the Family would get.
Over the next few months, the Family’s situation continued to deteriorate, financially and in their strength. That is, until they got an interesting offer. Someone with a high amount of interest in the Family wanted their help, specifically someone in the Philippines. In rewards for helping them, they’d give the Family quite the amount of money and connect them with valuable people. This would be enough to secure the Family’s existence for the next few years, assuming they don’t die. This person specifically requested “Someone with extraordinary abilities.” That person would be Lucy. This person also proved their identity to the Family, getting their limited trust.
As such, Lucy traveled to the Philippines, though ended up there at an incredibly bad time. She received a letter from the messenger, simply stating “Survive and assist in this upcoming battle and I will double the money you will receive.” This is where she is now, and this is where her story starts, caught up in a conflict she had no right to be in.
Current Goal: Survive, meet up with the messenger, secure the fate of the Family.
Military or Civilian Rank: Volunteer Arms Master soldier.
Chains protrude from the ground, combined with ice geysers. There must be either a solid or humid surface to perform this standard attack spell and those touched by the icy chains will be marked by a runic condition.
Under Oath of The Snow Globe Type: Effect Condition: Vow
A byproduct of Evening Geysers, Hallowed. Under Oath of The Snow Globe is a conditional vow between two parties and that agreement is to fight in an isolated area that is agreed upon. The vow leaves an open-ended question, either a Yes or No.
If Yes, a cage match like barrier will be the battleground. The area in effect can still be disrupted by Arms Master by merely destroying it.
If No, there will be no cage match inside the isolated barrier.
This particular technique is harmful to Rin as she places the conditional chains to herself, by withstanding damage from her adversaries, all her abilities are doubled. The only downside would be her keeping up the endurance before she passed out of pain and fatigue or eventually, killed.
She may inflict damage to herself too.
Horrific House of Mirrors Type: AoE, Mid-Range, Trump Card
This is a one-time gig after accumulation of hurt from Icy Heart, Enduring Pain.
Rin manifests a snowy landscape, filled with mirrors, entangled with chains. She uses psychology warfare to trick opponents of her whereabouts and since the mirrors shows Rin's reflection, it makes it difficult to intercept. Rin uses this to her advantage and bind her opponents in the mazy house of Mirrors with chains.
It's expected that her Trump Card can be dispelled with brute force.
The World Series All Around Chains
Type: Anti-Personnel Range: Short, Mid, Long, AoE (20-meters) Victims: 50 Use: Multipurpose Condition: Imagination Rin can shape her chains into whatever extended tool at the end of its protruding tips. Flail — Increases mass = explosive power. Blades — increases cutting and piercing momentum. Barriers — increases defense. Platform — increases mobility to create grappling floors, etc Key — duplicates the properties of daily security. E.g keys to unlock doorknob, etc.
All Around Enchantment Type: Enchantment Range: Mid Use: Buffs Targets: 5 Condition: Sacrificing Defense
Rin inflicts a runic condition to increase resistance to known types of disorienting effects — motion sickness, *insert name of* -phobia, poison, illusions, burning and augment attack, defense, speed, healing, decrease spell cooldown and stamina recovery double time.
When under the spell, people feel a cool sensation.
Rin, however, cannot buff herself, only others.
She becomes vulnerable in this state.
Misc Abilities
Psychology — Rin can be charming or horrid. In the army, she's the "charismatician" of her squad and listens to her fellow soldiers by giving them therapy. She's horrid to her enemies.
Military Training — In both the Medical Department and enlists, Rin has been in the army for a year and a half.
Ninjutsu — Rin is a descendant of the Koga Clan and directly related to the late Mochizuki Chiyome. She's trained in the Koga Art of Offensive and Defensive Guerrilla Warfare.
Personality
Rin much like her element is tranquil and soft-spoken, she's perceptive and quick to act like a Girl Scout and has no tolerance for beating around the bush and lies. One may consider her a killjoy and a "Yes Lady" but that's far from the truth, Rin only complies to what's ruled and regulated by her environment as long as it benefits her and the rest. She's quick to drop morals and commit warcrimes, in particular false surrenders to pragmatically get good results. Ironic, for someone who hates lies is a liar herself but that only applies to life threatening situations and the lack of destructive capacity that her Noble Arms have, which she compensates with psychological warfare.
Despite of that cold icy heart, Rin cares and uses her vocational course, majoring in Psychology to address people according to their temperament. So she's like a chameleon that emulates how people portray themselves based on personality types and if one were to be aggressive, she'll respond with a graceful tone while being passive-aggressive, this is to fish out truths than insult.
*Likes: Ramen. Creative Solutions. Dancing.
*Dislikes Do not call her short. Do not touch her. Do not make her question you.
Fears Rin is afraid of: — Accomplishing a mission that requires pragmatic action that involved perishing those she forms attachment with.
— Her family's emotional grip and abuse. Ironic, given her position. She still holds a soft spot despite their dogmatic viewpoint.
— China and their motives.
Bio
The Age of Ninja dwindled and so as its renown people, the Koga went under civilian names as they put their past behind but some remained loyal to the practice.
The House of Yosugano, from the extinction of ninja to the present day upholds the ninja way and earnestly developed their Ninjutsu to the first caliber. Allegiance to neither nation nor government while remaining aligned to Japan as your average citizens in the surface while in the night of the shadows, Ninja to the core and principled with their beliefs about eliminating what threatens their nation and protect those associated with Japan. Ninja, a general term, Shinobi for Males and Kunoichi for Females, the House of Yosugano are an autonomous force, the public hears of it as an urban legend about masked people, dispatching threats at night, or so they say.
Rin lived a life of doctrine by her family's ninja sect, every aspect of her life was barely separated from ninjahood including socializing. This means that socializing is used and practiced daily to gauge the true colors of people, Rin wanted to be normal yet is chained by her clan's philosophy, she's taught to forsake her "selfish" desires and do all for the sake of her family, which was strongly enforced in perfecting academics and sports. Rin took gymnastics and figure skating as a child, merely as a cover to keep normal people from prying into her Ninja life while maintaining Ninjutsu training.
Her Noble Arms manifested at 13 and discouraged the use of poison tactics, believing that cooling and freezing their persons of interests are better of in one piece that die a painful poisonous death.
A year and a half ago, she's taken up military service, which at the same time was a mission from her clan, to keep tabs of any possible threats. Rin was enlisted in the Medical Division for her outstanding psychology ethics and in the event where China became the aggressor, her family doubled the mission: protect Japan and its allies, kill anyone who is a threat and aide the Filipino People who is at mercy of their enemy.

Waifish young girl: small, thin, may shatter if dropped. Long black hair with odd streaks of pale blue, or grey. Blue eyes that jump to movement. Dressed for the cold, covering one or two scars on her body that don’t seem to be made of flesh. 4’10” / 149cm 88 lbs / 40 kg
Name: Hannie Cavalet
Age: 14
Nationality: Australian
Noble Arm Name & Appearance: Kirvella, a dagger of inconsistent make. Between manifestations, the blade might appear to be made from bright steel, dark iron, or a bluish gemstone. Its shape is always simple, practical, and lethal. Due to its effect, it constantly emits frosty mist.
Noble Arm Rank:
Power: B Speed: D (S) Range: C Persistence: D Precision: D Potential: B
Note: Standard calculations would place an Arm of these grades at a high D overall. Due to atypical circumstances regarding its ability's effects and upper limits - elaborated below - we have received approval to raise it by a single letter grade.
Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: AoE – Cold – Short to medium range
Noble Arm Abilities:
Passive:
it’s sharp: Kirvella is always well-sharpened, though not abnormally so. It cannot grow dull.
Wight: As long as Kirvella is manifested, Hannie does not need her heartbeat or other vital functions, making her much harder to meaningfully harm, and able to continue moving with alarming, inhuman vigor even if she may be clinically dead. She is barely conscious while "dead" and will not retain clear memory of what happens after – in the moment, her thoughts are an indistinct mist. She can respond to complex orders and employ predatory battle tactics, but cannot hold a conversation or do arithmetic.
Cryogenic Suspension: When Kirvella manifests, Hannie’s heart begins to slow to a stop. The lower her heart rate, the stronger all of Kirvella’s effects are, becoming much more pronounced if her heart stops altogether. This also means her heartbeat slows much faster when it is already slow or faint. If Hannie’s pulse is accelerated at the point of Kirvella’s manifestation, it cannot passively come to a stop before Hannie is too exhausted to maintain her Noble Arm, while if she is fully relaxed, she will die within seconds.
Temperature Void: Kirvella constantly consumes thermal energy from its environment, and becomes more ravenous as Hannie dies. This effect is much more apparent indoors, but even outside, the local drop in temperature is always palpable at minimum. Touching Kirvella results in frostbite for the lucky. If Hannie is dead, Kirvella’s temperature rests at absolute zero.
It’s Alive: Kirvella seems to possess its own intelligence, and can perform actions that Hannie cannot control. It’s apparently on her side, at least, but these abilities cause her to exhaust faster than the usual maintenance of the Noble Arm.
Active:
Controlled Freezing: Kirvella can specifically target areas within Hannie’s reach to freeze. Most often, it uses this to harden Hannie’s body, produce solid barriers, or fill in damaged bodily structures with ice or solidified gases. It cannot repair her heart or brain this way, but it can permanently replace any other organ or tissue with strange, living ice.
Implosive Freezing: In short bursts, Kirvella can consume heat much faster than thermodynamics should allow. If Hannie is dead, this is extremely pronounced: due to the sudden abyssal drop in temperature and pressure, an inward shockwave is produced, crumbling buildings toward the dagger and concussively forcing people off their feet, deeper into the cold. Hannie is curiously unharmed.
Frozen Lich: If Hannie is dead, she is unable to be out of contact with Kirvella for more than four seconds at a time. At the end of those seconds, she suddenly appears with the dagger, grasping it with rigor-mortis force. Though it tires her, disarming Hannie is dangerous. She can deliberately throw Kirvella for a controlled teleport.
Demanifestation: When Hannie dismisses Kirvella, it takes a few moments to fade. During this time, it resets Hannie’s body temperature and heart rate to normal level, and restores her from death as applicable. The demanifestation effect will not heal any wound, so if she is forced to dispel Kirvella while critically injured, Hannie will be left unconscious by Arms Master survivability – to say nothing of the deadly ongoing effects of cryogenic temperature.
Misc Abilities: Hannie is good at math. She’s still learning algebra, but she can do equations like 12 x -273.15 in her head really fast. -273.15 feels meaningful to Hannie. It’s such a specific number. How strange. Probably not related, but she also knows a lot about how matter acts – even the weird stuff that happens when it’s really, really, really cold. Hannie knows how to talk to government people. Usually, the correct thing to do is to not talk, but she knows their phonetic alphabets and silly euphemisms and can use them back. Hannie is good at hiding. It helps her stay out of the way, and sometimes it lets her play a little longer when someone wants her. Hannie plays with her dagger a lot. She’s pretty sure she knows how to use it in a fight. It seems like she’ll have to, now.
Personality: It’s not that Hannie doesn’t like you, she’s just shy. She’s often the only person in the room who isn’t talking, even when there are only two people in the room, and she’s comfortable like that. It can take her a few tries to speak loud enough to be heard. Hannie likes to help. She didn’t exactly volunteer to fight China, but when the government told her she should go, she nodded. People are in trouble. Hannie is jumpy. She doesn’t like Kirvella, but she finds herself summoning it on a dime.
Likes: Warmth, quiet, the dark. Her mom. Interesting challenges. Learning new things.
Dislikes: Cold, noise, crowds. Being put on the spot. Being in the way. Feeling unhelpful. Kirvella.
Fears: What if, someday, the dagger doesn’t go when she asks it to? What if she hurts someone, or herself? Is she going to hurt someone anyway? Isn’t that what she’s being sent to do? She sort of loses herself when Kirvella has her for too long, what if she’s hurt someone before? She has a lot of nightmares about her old house… Bugs. Bugs and fires. And public speaking. That’s all.
Bio: CLASSIFIED -- In 2010, neighbors reported a possible explosion at the Cavalet home. Emergency responders reported partial structural collapse, as well as abnormally low temperatures. Subject was recovered from the epicenter of the collapse, unconscious and suffering early hypothermia, but without permanent injury. Father was beside her, apparently dead from crushing injuries. Retroactive investigation found that father was more likely incapacitated by the collapse, then died of hypothermia. Mother was not on scene, and was later informed that a structural fault was the cause of the collapse. Mother has been allowed to meet subject and they maintain a healthy relationship. Mother is aware that subject possesses a Noble Arm, but the nature of the weapon has not been disclosed to her. Subject and mother remain unaware of true cause of father’s death. Subject’s abilities have proven useful when controlled, and subject has been applied for thermodynamic research and regulation/maintenance of experimental power sources (active projects listed on reverse side). Subject is to be deployed for ASEAN defense by 2023.
"Mou~~! It's a shame really. I gave them everything, you know? The keys to the future, to pull themselves from their filthy rut of pollution and stagnation! They had so much potential, could have revolutionized the world and salvaged their reputation... Instead, they would pervert my work? Use it for war and decimation, rather than creation and advancement? Well, if that's how it is... then they should know they deserve every bit of what's coming to them~." Appearance: A tall, shapely woman with a distinctly unnerving air to her, her gaze almost hungrily taking in everything around her. Her emerald-green hair and oddly colored eyes are "natural", and her demeanor gives off the distinct impression of a predator surrounded by prey. Even when affecting a friendly air, she seems like an opportunistic viper, ready to strike. Dresses extremely eccentrically -even salaciously- in a rather combat-impractical green and black cyberpunk dress, almost as if bragging about her A-Rank status visually, despite not doing so verbally. Rain or shine, formal or informal, she seems unbothered by the conditions and boldly flaunts her body as though she were her own magnum opus... a far from incorrect assumption. Her form is inhumanly "perfect", to an uncanny degree that often sets other humans on edge, ironically imperfect in its perfection. The observant may pick out the utter lack of blemishes on her skin, the way she never needs to bathe for cleanliness except as a luxury, the way she takes far fewer meals than needed, and more besides. Height: 5'10" Weight: 147 lbs. Build: Shapely, but strangely toned.
Name: Lei Qingshe (Jormungandr (black ops codename), The Snake - 6th of The Zodiac) Age: 21 (appears 18) (Born 2001, Year of the Snake) Nationality: Chinese (defector)
Noble Arm Name & Appearance: [Ouroboros], a 5 foot tall green and black cyberpunk tower shield with bladed edges and spikes.
Noble Arm Rank: A
Power: B+ (Creations) Speed: B- (Analysis speed) Range: B+ (Creations) Persistence: D+ (Self-Modifications) Precision: A Potential: D
Due to self/NA modifications and the nature of her NA's power itself, Qingshe's original ratings have become subject to... fluctuation. Her original true classification of B has been, in practice, found to vastly undersell her tactical value, both on and off the battlefield.
Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: Variable-Range Electric Support-type.
Modified -using its own powers turned against it- from its original state as a mere dated tower shield into a cyberpunk construct of the future, Ouroboros is far more resilient than the average Noble Arm, its biotech structure making it capable of withstanding ludicrous force and even visually repairing itself if damaged. It can hover independently of its user's grasp, utilizing a magnetic force to orbit the user, often trailing just behind them. It has basic light-bending cloaking, allowing the user to keep it discreetly summoned. However, that cloaking doesn't hold up under combat conditions where it must physically obstruct an attack. Due to its modifications, it provides basic access to its powers even when not summoned at all.
Considered to potentially be the true core of her Noble Arm's power, Qingshe seemingly possesses some manner of "shadow world" formed of green-black biotech "fluid". Accessed through her malleable shadow, she can seemingly drag targets into it or expel them. It seems to be some manner of extradimensional plane, as teleportation experiments have thus-far failed to take others to or from it. Qingshe seems to have full control of what and who can pass through her shadow when and where she desires, but it is closed and impassable by default. She is known to be one of the most capable of The Zodiac at taking live prisoners, along with being able to transport large amounts of equipment and materials with ease. Those that have reported on their experience within the shadow world have only been able to describe a single room with no exits, furnished most often as either a prison or lab, but there was no sign of the other objects she was known to possess at the time. It is conclusively clear then that Qingshe has some level of control over the shape of her shadow world and that it is both larger than expected and able to "sort" targets she drags into it into separate sections of itself.
The functionality of it is also unknown, but swallowing targets into her shadow also seems to allow Qingshe to rapidly reverse engineer them and the principles behind their creation, her scientific knowledge and talent expanding at a rate that boggles the mind.
In the outside world, Qingshe's primary public usage of her ability is through shaping the green-black biotech "fluid" of her shadow, expanding and shaping it into a multitude of forms limited only by her technical, practical knowledge and personal experimentation. It can take on any material composition she understands in any quantity, shape or size permitted by the size of her shadow. Spears, blades, spiked walls, barriers and other more mundane and utility objects alike, she can shape her shadow any way she likes and never seems to run out of the "fluid" used to create workings. The shadow can be shaped in the blink of an eye, acting at the speed of thought to do her bidding.
Any fluid that becomes separated from the whole either dissipates if it was unshaped or becomes in truth the object it was shaped into, entirely free of Qingshe's domain unless she should swallow it again. Most formless constructs take on a similar green-black cyberpunk look as her shadow, but Qingshe can just as easily form objects with entirely normal appearances. The "fluid" cannot be reverse engineered, as it simply "becomes" in truth what it was shaped into once separated from the whole. The "fluid", both unshaped and not, remains under Qingshe's psychokinetic control until separated from the main mass.
Further, with her "understanding" of targets comes the ability to both repair and "innovate". Beings inside (or partially within) her shadow world can be healed through converting the "fluid" into new mass that then becomes independent of the whole. With the right level of understanding and the right subject, she can perform genetic modification to allow inhuman biological base capabilities or even add cyborg enhancements to those that either cannot be healed otherwise... or desire to become more than human.
As her shadow grows, she can both more rapidly expand it and create larger and more complex objects. Or, at least, this is what she allows others to believe. While it has a grain of truth to it, her shadow can at any time travel speeds in excess of hundreds of feet per second, able to transform vast swathes of land into her personal playground in moments. This is hardly hyperbole, as expanding her shadow is akin to transforming the surface of the world around her into a facsimile of her shadow world. She has a basic awareness of anything in physical contact with her shadow and can hear through its surface and exit her shadow at any location it covers. With sufficient widespread coverage, she can thus act as a makeshift teleporter for herself and others.
While the durability of her constructs depends on the material she transmutes them into, her growing shadow itself is effectively a space-time gap and is thus generally impervious to anything that cannot pierce such things, allowing her to ward large areas against collateral damage.
List of Creations (to be expanded):
Qingshe's personal "battlesuit": A salacious, dress-like affair, its weave far more durable than one might expect, even more-so than Qingshe's modified body, a feat in itself for such... form-fitting material.
Holder.
Qingshe's magnum opus, her own body, heavily genetically, biologically and technologically modified. It is hard to say if she can truly still be called human. Although she would argue that the answer is not just "yes", but that the same would hold true for anyone else that underwent similar or divergent modifications to become what she truly believes is the next step in human evolution, one where humanity takes things into their own hands, rather than any "god".
Qingshe's body is now formed of the same biotech fluid that comprises her shadow world, malleable in unnatural ways and divorced from humanity except by the barest technicalities and most outward appearances. Visually, the primary signs of her transhumanism are now "naturally" green hair and slitted, reptilian eyes that seem to shift between green, yellow, blue and red as her mood shifts. Less obvious is the smooth hairlessness of her body below the neck, devoid of blemishes and "flaws", becoming distinctly unnervingly imperfect in its perfection. Her hair and body retain an almost shine of health even without maintenance.
Beyond the visual level, the changes are far more severe, as Qingshe sought to become a "perfect lifeform" and even today continues to tweak and modify her alterations as improvements present themselves. The extent of these modifications are unknown to either the public or intelligence, but they are confirmed to be drastic.
On the surface, Qingshe's Noble Arm would seem to have unlimited Potential, endlessly spawning new abilities, weapons and utilities, but the terrifying reality is that such is far from the case, not in the conventional sense. No, Qingshe possesses but a single ability of vast breadth, a multifaceted chimera that she has made extensive and creative use of over the years, and her Noble Arm has not given up a single new power since obtaining it. It is an ability that suits her wholly, growing ever stronger that more she learns and experiences, and her Noble Arm has dedicated all of its capacity to this with no room for any other ability.
To explain her ability, we must reach to the conceptual root nature of Noble Arms. Derived from Occult Programming Language as they are, every Noble Arm ultimately has a designated function as a "program" in the grand System that governs reality. A Noble Arm usually accesses a single "skill tree" of sorts, often multiple. Instead of accessing multiple, Qingshe's ability delved deeply into a single tree and shot for the stars.
Qingshe's ability is to have access to and control over an isolated "programming test zone" in the System. Her ability's true nature and element is [Data Manipulation], and all that it does is derived from this. In essence, her ability allows her to peer upon, dissect and manipulate the "code of reality", limited by her personal understanding and only so long as her manipulations occur while they are inside the "test zone", otherwise perceived as her "world of data". This "test zone" exists entirely within the raw data realm that can perhaps be perceived as the "upper planes" of reality. Because of being attuned to this specific form of [Data], Qingshe's ability also makes her Noble Arm one of the rare few that can interact with unstructured Occult Programming Language, enough to make Qingshe a fair hand at it on the side.
Qingshe can draw things into her test zone or expel them freely, converting targets into data or vice-versa. When doing so, she expands a "shadow" across surfaces from her position, which she must maintain physical contact with to keep open. The shadow -it should be noted- is centered on her physical body, not her soul or the Noble Arm itself. Her body is used as a conduit to transfer energy to the portal. Anything that she has created from the ground up can be freely controlled as long as it's not physically separated from the shadow, after which point it becomes entirely independent in theory. As long as it does not, however, she can freely control what she expels and retract it at any time, allowing her to exert some measure of power on reality that pales in comparison to her grasp of her personal data space.
Her shadow's range caps out at 2 kilometers from her position in any direction and can extend to any size and shape within that spherical range as long as the environment provides, able to manifest across nearly any solid surface, including water tension. Because she draws energy from the System itself instead of a personal reservoir, Qingshe doesn't -strictly speaking- have a limit on how much she can create and never seems to run out of mass. The real problem is her stamina, as her body being a conduit to pass energy through her shadow gateway puts incredible and painful strain on her body, enough to paralyze her from the electric currents... Or, so it used to. In her pursuit of transhumanism, she has heavily modified her body to handle this strain and can now casually reach and sustain heights she never could have dreamed of touching as a child. Solving this stamina issue is what largely propelled her to the heights needed be considered A-Rank.
To boil her ability down, it can best be summarized in three parts:
A): She has the ability to access and manipulate an expanding "world of data" that's gateway and unshaped internals take visual form and manifestation as electrified ooze. It grows larger the more "knowledge" it absorbs.
B): She has the ability to draw energy from said "data space", largely in the form of electricity, which uses her body as a conduit to empower her shadow and pass things to or from the data realm.
C): She has borderline omniscient and fine awareness of the data world through which to best manipulate it, and it effectively radically expands her memory capacity in order to store more knowledge and most efficiently access anything she knows.
Tech Wiz: An effective super-genius in many scientific fields (especially biochemistry and genetics) Intrigue: Skilled in deception and navigating social environments. Inhuman Mentality: Has an incredible mental resilience and pain tolerance. Cook: Can cook edible and safe food, despite any rumors to the contrary. Though taste is... debatable. Polylingual: Knows most major languages (English, French, Chinese, Russian, Japanese etc.). Soldier: A former -and current- soldier of sorts, she has undergone standardized martial training. It's nothing she's particularly passionate about, but she's not useless in CQC, and her unconventional methods of fighting tend to even the odds. Despite being a creature of modern lab comforts, she's no slouch in survival skills, and she can handle a gun with... well, not the best of them, certainly. But she won't fall behind. Occult Programming Language V1: Qingshe has long studied the mysterious occult practices that are currently quietly attributed to the advent of Noble Arms after being misused on a worldwide scale during World War 2. This gives her a grasp on the concepts behind Noble Arm functionality. Though, hers is not as strong as the advanced V2 language developed by the Paragons of Science. Still, she is capable of creating comparatively rough "magitech", like restraints that bind, suppresses or otherwise weaken Noble Arms.
A snake in more than one sense of the word, Lei Qingshe is manipulative, sly and proud of her power, yet restrained enough to avoid megalomania. Analytical and introspective, she has a powerful grasp on her own nature and desires, along with the will to see them through at any cost. To the public, she is simultaneously caring to those under her care, often with a strangely motherly bent... while also being horrifyingly ruthless to her enemies, willing to casually commit abject atrocities for the sake of the slightest sliver of progress in her research and victory as a whole. This juxtaposition often makes it difficult to tell where her "lines in the sand" are, assuming she has many at all, and it is further unclear whether she holds any true morals or if she simply puts on airs of civility so as to not be treated as an uncontrollable threat.
Qingshe can oft be described as "married to her work" with both little interest or time to dedicate to other pursuits, a state of affairs she is satisfied with... or so she tells herself. She seems to find no greater joy in anything but advancing her knowledge, ravenously gorging her mind on any biological or technological subject she can grasp. Driven to an admittedly obsessive degree, she is an avid transhumanist, and were her definition of a potential "humanity" not so broadly inclusive, she'd likely be a shoe-in for the interests of the likes of the Paragons of Science. Despite her loose morals, she is never cruel for cruelty's sake and, in fact, despises such things as being "wasteful" of "human resources". Self aware as she is, she acknowledges that her beliefs and attitude are in opposition to the widely held "common sense". As such, she lives by the adage of "faking it till you make it" as a social chameleon, often affecting a playful and mildly seductive air... Genuine or not, despite her disdain for the current "weakness of the flesh" that is "plaguing" humanity, she admires humans as a whole for their will to survive and capacity to evolve mentally... and especially physically.
When she cares to be, she is bold in her opinions and unrepentant in her views. She believes that she is correct and that others will inevitably understand her way of thinking or be outgrown by her, and that is all that she needs to feel validated. She believes that in the face of Noble Arms upending peace and disturbing prosperity, the core concept of humanity must evolve to meet them to once more manifest a world where "all men are created equal". In her mind, once all humans are supernatural beings in their own right, Noble Arms will be mostly obsolete or equalized. In other words, at her core, she seeks to bring humanity peace again... but most would perhaps disagree on the price that is reasonable to pay for that future.
On the whole, Qingshe despises the Big Three. In particular, she blames the Downward Descent for fanning the flames, vices and sins of her home country into a new world war instead of using her technology to escape their pit of stagnation, and she views them and their agents as no better than animals and plagues upon the world that have thrown away their humanity for nothing. At one time, she had seen much in the Paragons of Science to admire; however, after discovering that the advancements and power they offered were a poisoned chalice rather than true, freely given boons to humanity, she grew resentful, viewing it as a betrayal of the glorious image of evolution she had pictured. Even were The Seven Virtues' price for their power tenable, Qingshe would -perhaps ironically- be unnerved by them and their claims, and their proposed ideals for what humanity should be set an ominous pit in her stomach that... something just isn't right.
Likes: Research, progress, small animals, useful things, staying up late, junk food, spicy food.
Dislikes: Stagnation, ignorance, waste (resources, time, etc), obstacles to her studies, getting up early, The Big Three (especially The Downward Descent), excessively sweet or sour food.
Fears: Losing sight of herself. Death.
Enter: Lei Qingshe. Codename: Jormungandr. "A monster in the shape of a human", they call her. Something "beyond". The next step in Arms Master evolution. It certainly doesn't help that she is known to those with an ear to the ground to have been a key figure in the rapid military advancement of China in the past half decade. Her origins and recently acquired lack of firm loyalty to any cause or nation make her intentions suspect, and yet, her power and willingness to -at least ostensibly- use it for good in the present day make her aid impossible to deny, given the stakes.
To the majority of the public, she is known as The Snake - 6th of The Zodiac, China's most well-known and public group of "superheroes", acting as blatant -if effective- PR for the nation to both its citizens and the world at large. The group, composed of all A-Rank Arms Masters or the equivalent in some manner, handles large-scale disasters and crimes. To those with more access to far more sensitive intelligence, however, they are also known to be a ruthless nigh-unstoppable black-ops hit-squad that do China's dirty work seemingly without qualms. It is also known to such intelligence operatives that Qingshe was heavily and seemingly unashamedly involved in many of the worst of China's concealed biological war-crimes and human experimentation. In fact, she was at the forefront of those advancements, seemingly leading the charge with a frightening zeal.
While she isn't exactly blasting it on the airwaves, there are many -often suppressed- clips from Q&A's, other private or public conversations and classified leaks that clearly demonstrate Qingshe has a zealous belief in advancing and further accelerating the evolution of humanity, even partially agreeing with the ideals of The Paragons of Science and The Seven Virtues on occasion. Her dedication to "progress" is to the point that there are rumors that she was mad enough to test her human experiments on herself... resulting in her becoming something more.
Thus, with her track record of loyalty and unwavering dedication, her abrupt disappearance 11 months ago came as a shock to the public in large. Behind far more secure closed curtains, however, a different worry has sprouted in light of the fact that she has violently defected and gone AWOL from China's grasp. The reasons are unknown, but she did do great damage to their research facilities and classified data on her way out. The only thing left of Qingshe's former lab complex is an unnervingly smooth crater...
Current Goal: Short Term: To acquire more "materials" and further her research... Hmm? Oh yes, and to save the Philippines. Sure, that too. Long term: The human condition is weak... but it could be less weak. To improve humanity... and make the sacrifices worth it.
Military or Civilian Rank: QRS Special Liaison (LNO), R&D Consultant, Medic and Volunteer Arms Master Soldier.
Noble Arm Name & Appearance: Time Of Change, or more commonly called Change, is a Noble Arm resembling a crimson red sword, paired with a sheath. Said sheath hooks onto Wilhelm’s belt. The sword itself has an overly ornate handguard and pommel design complete with gold inlays, more closely resembling a sword meant for ceremonies than a weapon of war.
Noble Arm Rank: A
Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: Multipurpose, Change/Destruction, Close-Medium-Long.
Noble Arm Abilities:
Emperor’s Lance - A series of red lances that appears over Wilhelm’s shoulder, a maximum of 8 can appear at a time. When a lance is launched, it guides itself towards anything within vision of Wilhelm’s choosing, with a maximum speed of Mach 4.6 and a range of 10 nautical miles, leaving a ghostly red trail to Wilhelm’s location. Upon contact, the lance will violently explode, capable of destroying the toughest of tanks in a single hit and tearing a ship’s hull open. When lances are used, they will replenish over time, one every 15 seconds. Alternatively, he can fire off one massive lance, resulting in an incredibly massive and destructive explosion wherever it hits. If a lance is deflected, it proceeds to immediately explode, wherever it is.
Royal Guard - When Change is drawn from its sheath, Royal Guard automatically activates. If willed, Change is able to cut through almost anything, including Noble Arms, with some effort. Change can also extend its cutting abilities beyond the tip of the blade, allowing it to slice through something 20 meters long in one strike. The effect of this means melee combat is practically guaranteed to result in the death of Wilhelm’s opponent. Engagement is not recommended.
Empire’s Shield - A defensive barrier that surrounds Wilhelm, capable of withstanding the firepower of an entire fleet attacking him at once. This barrier creates a red and gold translucent sphere around Wilhelm, indicating when it’s active. This barrier can be dispelled at will, plus shows heavy resistance against attacks from other Noble Arms.
Emperor’s Wrath - Arguably Wilhelm’s strongest attack, he can use Change to manipulate the ground and water itself. He can lift pillars of dirt and rock into the air, sink massive areas of ground, generate tsunamis and earthquakes, and even collapse cities. Anywhere he uses this ability will result in its landscape being permanently changed. If this attack is focused on someone, he can use it to surround them in rock, then pull them into the ground and crush them to death. When used on a wide scale, this power quickly drains Change’s energy.
Empire’s Cloak - An interesting ability. When active, Wilhelm appears to disappear and cannot be tracked by almost all means. When in this state, Wilhelm cannot leave it unless he appears nearby a location of mass hatred, such as a city-large riot, or conflict, such as a war. Even then, he can choose not to leave it. Such an ability results in him being incredibly hard to contain and able to traverse the globe alone, meaning he can appear anywhere at any time, so long as conditions are met. It appears Wilhelm still experiences aging in this state, with it also appearing that the majority of Wilhelm’s existence has been in this state.
Misc Abilities: In the time Wilhelm has been spotted, he has shown interesting attributes. He’s shown to be a powerful commander, smart, and full of motivational speeches. His other abilities remain unclear, due to how little people have contact with him. Another thing known about Wilhelm is his fluency in several languages, mostly European languages.
Personality: Wilhelm, when seen, shows an incredibly calm demeanor, even when in battle. He appears to treat his “allies” with respect, even if they show no respect towards him in return. He also shows respect towards his enemies, frequently lamenting about how if neither side engaged in war, soldiers like Wilhelm would not be needed.
Fears: It’s not clear what Wilhelm fears, but studying his actions leads researchers to believe he fears losing, alongside gaining enemies outside his current battle.

INIT >>> INFORMATION IS CLASSIFIED, USA MILITARY DECREE >>> LOADING RECORDING.....DONE >>> LOADING METADATA......DONE >>> INTERVIEW BETWEEN COMMANDER JAMES SICARIO AND RESEARCHER ADAM WILLIAMS
JS: [Ruffling of papers, movement of a chair.]
JS: So, what do we know about this guy, this mysterious fucking A rank no one can keep within their borders.
AW: Oh, right, Emperor-General Wilhelm.
JS: That’s what he calls himself? He doesn’t lead shit.
AW: Yes, indeed, that’s his self proclaimed title. What we do know is that he constantly portrays himself as a leader of a massive empire, even though said empire doesn’t exist.
JS: Well, why does he think he leads an empire?
AW: That’s the uh, interesting part. We’re not completely sure, but we believe that is an effect of Wilhelm’s Noble Arm. Alongside adjusting his appearance, which we cannot find such a record of a person like him existing in our allied countries, changed him to believe he’s an ever important leader. Before you ask, we also think his Noble Arm is responsible for sustaining his existence, keeping his body... Incredibly healthy.
JS: What’s the leading theory on where he comes from? If we figure out where he’s from, we could give those governments more information.
AW: Recordings of his speeches indicate he has a pretty heavy German accent, alongside that, Wilhelm is a polyglot. He’s been observed to speak French, English, German, Swedish, and potentially even more languages, so we think he comes from Europe.
JS: Has the German government come up with interesting details about this guy?
AW: Unfortunately, no, their investigation hasn't been completed. What they have shared isn’t too conducive to uh, our goal of finding out who he was.
JS: You also mentioned that your team thinks his Noble Arm changed his mind, to make him believe he’s an Emperor-General. Do you think that effect could be spread to other people?
AW: If it can, Wilhelm hasn’t demonstrated it at all, even in situations where it would be beneficial for him to uh, indoctrinate others to his will, so we think it’s isolated to only him. Despite all that, he appears to be sane, so he isn’t exactly crazy. Just delusional, it appears.
JS: We’re dealing with a delusional egomaniac, do you think this would look good if the public found out?
AW: N-no, sir, that’s why you tasked us to this goal, isn’t it?
JS: So, how do we contain this guy? A rogue A rank is no laughing matter, it’s fucking good the public don’t know much about this guy.
AW: That’s the thing... We’re not sure we can kee-
JS: [Increasingly frustrated] You CANNOT?! This guy represents a massive risk to national security for basically everyone!
AW: Y-Yes... I know how it sounds, but we think he keeps himself in check. He’s only been spotted near conflicts, so it’s incredibly unlikely he’s just gonna run around blowing up cities.
JS: Riight. Hope is not a scalable strategy, Williams.
AW: I know, I know. We think with the rising tensions between China and most ASEAN countries, he’s going to show up in that region sometime soon. We think we can try out a strategy there, assuming ASEAN accepts our plan once ready...
JS: Which is?
AW: We need an Arms Master with the capability to severely weaken his powers, then we can bring him into custody and inhibit his powers even further, but I’m not sure we have an Arms Master capable of this feat.
JS: Sounds reasonable, send the plan over, I’ll find teams up to the task.
AW: It’s not complete yet but... It should be, very soon.
END >>> WAR BETWEEN CHINA AND ASEAN COUNTRIES HAS BROKEN OUT >>> PLAN HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED IN TIME >>> WILHELM REMAINS A ROGUE ASSET >>> ASEAN HAS NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE PLAN TO CONTAIN WILHELM

Appearance:
Name: Nil
Age: 19-20 (assumed)
Nationality: Danish (assumed)
Noble Arm Name & Appearance: Stang A simple rigid staff that has a bright blue glow which produces a faint light, Nil can move Stang via telekinesis.
Noble Arm Rank: C rank
Power B Speed C Range A Persistence C Precision C Potential D
Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: glowy hitty thing, Kinetic Projectile, Telekinesis, Short/Medium Range
Noble Arm Abilities:
Conjured Staffs, Stang can be create copies that are indistinguishable from the original, Nil can also control them just like the original and create more copies from said copies, maintaining a few copies has little affect on stamina but maintaining a huge amount has a much larger toll.
Telekinesis, Nil can control Stang and its copies telekinetically when doing so the staff has effectively 100 times of its original weight, which is around 1kg. Telekinetic movements are usually not particularly fast unless Nil launches the NA as a projectile in which case it can go up to 1000m/s and get ~10kms away and has equivalent power to a tank round, unfortunately unlike a tank Nil cannot shoot accurately at that range and has an effective range of 300m on a human sized target without taking impact shock into consideration.
Enhancement, Nil can boost her durability to be able to resist 1-2 additional blows or bullets but it also makes her especially resistant to shockwaves, when using this ability Nil glows blue, especially the hair, eyes and tearducts.
The target used was human sized, 200 rounds were shot for each range apart from the 270meters range where 50 rounds were shot.
Percentage of direct hits only takes into accounts hits that directly hit the target dismissing possible damage dealt through other means.
Percentage of lethal hits takes into account any shot that produced lethal damage either by a direct hit or as the effect of impact shockwave.
Misc Abilities: Nil can fluently speak Danish but can barely speak other languages such as English, Thai and Filipino. Nil can also eat many inedible materials without seemingly suffering from it, such as wrappers and paper.
Personality: Nil usually doesn't speak much but she can be direct and blunt, she usually seeks to be around people but doesn't do much when in company.
*Likes: food, people, smashing stuff
*Dislikes: too much noise, long conversations, being alone for long stretches of time
Fears: Drowning (she can swim but she panics when in deep water)
Description: Nil joined Thailand's military in 13th of May 2015, the day prior meeting with military personnel in Pattaya and being documented as an Arms Master for the first time. Nil has been unable to answer most questions about her past to the point where her age and nationality can only be assumed, the most commonly agreed theory is that she is from Denmark, as danish is the only language she can speak fluently, and that information about her was lost in the 2009 ransomware attack to the Danish government's databases where many citizen's personal data was erased. Nil displays some lack of understanding of human interactions and common knowledge, she has been a slow learner with things like learning a new language, monetary value and proper eating, despite this Nil seeks to be around other people and is uncomfortable when left alone for a long period of time. Medical scans have shown that Nil is human and the lines on her body are likely related to her Noble Arm and not some biological condition, this is exemplified when she uses her Noble Arm and the lines on her body begin to emit a stronger glow. In the last few years Nil has supported various field operations and displayed a level of obedience and calmness during tense situations, since the start of the ASEAN war she has been active in Vietnam and Thailand and joined the ASEAN joint military, she only recently arrived in the Philippines, arriving in Lingayen shortly after the fighting began.
*Current Goal: Being alive, eating

King stands at 6'2 ft that weight in at 140 lbs. He has white hair and sharp brows that cross each other making him look like he's angry all the time.
Name: King Petrov
Age: 19
Nationality: Russian
Noble Arm Name & Appearance: Forger's cube Noble Arm Rank: C+
Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: Self Cast, Melee, Range, Support.
Element : Fire/Steel
Noble Arm Abilities:
Fabricating steel - from the medieval to the present time, this puzzle box can mold itself into any weapon known to man (to an extent of course).
Shrapnel Blast - When triggered or set on a timer, this cube can detonate up to 20ft radius and shoots out devasting metallic fragments from all sides. It can self-reassemble after being scattered. 1 to 5 mins reassembling time.
Shaper of War - King's Noble arm can transmute and produce mundane weapons based on the natural resources he can find. (water, metal, earth etc.) These weapons range from primitive tools such as swords, staves, and other outdated weapons to modern firearms and automated military-grade rifles.
Misc Abilities:
Blacksmith's insight- A good blacksmith can deconstruct the anatomy of any weapon. King can decipher the info of one's Noble arms based on its aesthetics alone.
Metallurgy - Aside from his noble arm's ability. King is skilled with the gift of blacksmithing and can create actual weapons. He can craft pure metals from scrap and unrefined iron.
Bartering and Smuggling - A silver tongue merchant can sell anything and make profits even in times of war.
Personality:
King is a hustler in every sense of the word. He talks fast and shills faster. His morality is somewhat tethering between "I'm gonna sell weapons to the bad guys for profit" and/or "I'm gonna help the innocent by arming them for free". Either way, King lives by the merchant code of creating, trading, and selling for a living.
*Likes:
Profits, Smithing, Spending, and Gambling.
*Dislikes:
Being broke, Losing a bet and profits, discarded weapons.
Fears:
Being caught of course.
Bio:
In the cold harsh environment of Russia, it's either you adapt or perish. King learned this the hard way when his deceased father (an ex-communicado member of the Paragon of Science) experimented on him when he was just an infant; Forcing his Noble arm to emerge out of necessity. The result was below average and the Paragon didn't take it lightly.
Discarded like a defective product. King is stripped away of his identity and grew up in the streets parentless. He was adopted by the Russian resistance who own a club called "The crownless Tsar" in Moscow. Their base of operations is the nesting ground for syndicates all around Russia. Literally raised by wolves, This hard-knock kid grew up in the streets as a scavenger and soon his dormant Noble arm's ability to create weapons emerges at the age of 13 which would be beneficial to the guild.
As time passed, King makes a name for himself in the underground world as a lowkey arms dealer, balancing the order between non-noble arms users and noble arm masters.
King is a fugitive on the run from the FSB and the Chinese government, living his life on the edge as a hustler and an illegal weapon distributor or as he calls himself "an independent contractor". He has many connections and has been hiding in the islands of Vietnam arming weapons to the militia and to those who aren't fortunate enough to arm themselves in these tough times.
*Current Goal:
To sell and forge weapons. "As long as they keep paying I ain't stopping.."

Name: Sophist the Agitator
Age: 18
Nationality: Egyptian
The Pharaoh's Crook
Noble Arm Rank: B+
Power: B (S) (Groundbreaking, but not absurd; very hard to counter, but not invincible; effectively stronger the more Sophist learns about the forces of gravity and such and trains to calculate and manipulate them in combat) Speed: C (S) (His power relies on not just willpower, but understanding the forces he is manipulating on a technical level, which is bound to hamper the speed of application; can work faster the more "indiscriminate" and "wild" the power use is, forgoing control/finesse for speed) Range: C (He has demonstrated only semi-long-range feats, couldn't reach Huo Ren's sun) Persistence: B (Seems to be able to comfortably use powers to a moderately strong/uncomplicated degree for long stretches of combat without notable strain, but higher-level feats may be exhausting/draining) Precision: B (Extremely fine control, but the ability doesn't do any extra secret lifting, Sophist must be actively generally aware of a target to affect or exempt them from his powers' effects) Potential: D (S) (Very flexible/powerful abilities, but the powers are inherited from a unique NA. Growth beyond existing abilities is difficult, if not impossible)
Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range:Support, Gravity??? (Close/Mid/Long)
Noble Arm Abilities: The Pharaoh's Crook enhances latent abilities and exerts a gravitational force on the user and target. Made by the most reclusive of The Seven Virtues, but inherited by someone not of them. The Crook's power manifests itself on the enigmatic and pervasive force known as Gravity, allowing him to manipulate it in various ways and degrees.
Upon first use, The Pharoah's Crook seemingly made him appear more like Master overtime.
Misc Abilities: Spirit Force, Flowing Skyward Style of Combat. An allegedly mystic close-combat style that was taught to him by the one called Master, but is most effective when used by an Arms Master.
His Master believed his path arduous but virtuous, speaking of a future yet unseen.
Bio: Sophist's past begins more or less as a boy named: Oba, whose curiosities led him to radical terrorism and eventual enslavement.
He carried with him a Noble Arm he claimed was created from wholecloth in the Solstice of 2019 whom, he was certain, would pass to his chosen successor when he finally died. Though they lived as scholars, the two shared a brotherly bond and so when goodbyes were shared by Master, it was Sophist who reassured that "All is right, and so it shall be forevermore."
Master demonstrating to Oba for the first time the power of his Noble Arms.
His Master eventually revealed his strong ties to The Seven Virtues but did not require Sophist to subscribe to the same, believing that the choice to protect and serve Humanity must come from his own will. But that choice came to Sophist early when one day, he felt a stirring in his soul and saw his Master's Noble Arm in his hand. In the news, it turned out that said Master had died preventing a major flood from consuming several villages. And Sophist decided to use his powers more selfishly.
Sophist has fought several Arms Masters since; the Seven Virtues being the only faction unwilling to come to blows with him. He ponders on why as he travels to the Philippines in hopes of discovering an archive of occult study at the heart of the country. A tense, yet familiar tug on his consciousness follows.
*Current Goal: To assess the hunch pulling him to the Philippines.
Military or Civilian Rank: Unregistered Arm Master
Age: 22 Gender: Female Sexuality: Bisexual, as far as she is able to tell. Height: 165 cm Weight: 63 kg
Nationality: Half-English, half-unknown
Noble Arm Name & Appearance:
‘Charter’ (naval officer’s spyglass)
Noble Arm Rank:
Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: Support-Ranged/Space/Long-range
Noble Arm Abilities: Leaguespanner: Wielding Charter allows Callie to realign the fabric of the universe to join one space to another, effectively creating a two-way portal in any shape that she desires. She may only create one such connection at a time and may only do so between places that she is able to see. Seemingly as an inherent safeguard, this portal cannot form inside or otherwise ‘cut’ sentient beings or other Noble Arms, though it can do so for non-sentient life and non-living things. Whenever she does so, Callie must fix both ends of the portal in space in relation to another object; she frequently uses the ground, the Earth as a whole or some part or all of her body for this purpose, though she cannot use any part of another sentient being or Noble Arm. Creating a connection takes a small amount of energy and time that both scale with the portal’s size and the distance that it bridges; the amount of energy continuously consumed from Callie until she releases it also increases with the portal’s area (see hider).
Where Callie’s stamina is represented as 500 of an arbitrary unit…
Portal Creation Time (seconds) = Portal Area^2 (square metres) x Distance Bridged (km) Stamina Cost upon Portal Creation = Portal Area^2 (square metres) x Distance Bridged (km) + Distance Bridged (km) x 0.1 + 10 Stamina Cost while Portal remains (per second) = Portal Area^2 (square metres) + 1
While Callie can push herself beyond this limit, she risks unconsciousness or death by doing so.
Sight Unbounded: Charter is far more capable than a spyglass of its apparent age or, indeed, any spyglass at all has any right to be: it has the ability to project Callie’s vision, allowing her to bypass non-solid objects. Solid objects inhibit the projection of her vision in this way, while liquids slow the projection depending on its density rather than it being instantaneous. Commander’s Aim: While looking through Charter and wielding a projectile weapon or in contact with a person who is, Callie can will the spyglass to direct her gaze to the point where the projectile, as the weapon is currently aimed, will land. When she does so, she gains an instinctive sense of this point. Guidance: Whether a precognitive subpower of Charter itself, a quirk of her hyperactive mind or a combination of both, Callie often finds herself drawn to details that are or will be important for herself and/or her allies when looking through Charter, even if she doesn’t know how they are or will be important yet. This helps Callie both when she is scouting or infiltrating a location or when she’s picking out a target in the chaos of a fight.
Misc. Abilities: Determined Adaptability: Callie’s open-mindedness and sheer drive allow her to take on problems and learn new skills more capably than most, throwing sufficient energy and ingenuity at difficulties and mental blocks that others would give up on solving. Trained Operative: With some Arms-tailored military training under her belt, Callie has had the chance to experiment with her Arm in battlefield conditions. As such, she is thoroughly familiar with her Arm’s basic capabilities and has even come up with a few unconventional ‘tricks’ with them, as well as appreciating the basics of tactics and operational warfare. She has also been given a more rapid coaching in the art of covert operations, allowing her to hold her own in a number of tight spots even without her Arm.
Personality: Callie is characterised by drive above all else; she launches herself towards her own and others’ success and even when ‘relaxing’ is constantly looking to find growth in everything she does. Unlike many of this archetype, however, she doesn’t naturally chafe against authority to any great extent, only that with which she disagrees for other reasons; she instead demands that she be accomplishing something in every waking moment, set by others or, if they do not, by herself. This makes her an invaluable asset to any team – focused, unfailingly energetic and downright inspiring, a champion for her allies and a constant harrier against their enemies – but can also come across as brashness, insensitivity and arrogance. She is, needless to say, a little polarising.
Likes: Achieving goals (especially by creatively efficient means), feeling capable, learning, helping others, using her Noble Arm, dogs and cats, Ribena
Dislikes: Helplessness (especially not being able to help others), duplicity among friends and teammates, indecisiveness, overbearing nationalism, excessive reliance on others
Fears: Being powerless, causing harm to those she cares about, becoming an emotionless killer
Callie Lidmann was born in the UK and lived there for four years or so. That she knows. In truth, her mother has always been cagey about the first few years of her life and, indeed, about Callie’s father, who Callie herself only knows by scattered half-memories. She didn’t especially care, to start with; her mum, Mary, has always been as good a parent as possible to her, as has her aunt Sandra, with whom the two live.
Good intentions or no, Mary’s actions rendered Callie somewhat poorly formed at first. The two only settled down with Sandra six or seven years after arriving in the USA; before then the two lived hand-to-mouth and constantly on the move. Mary took jobs and found schooling for Callie wherever she could but always became more and more alert, cautious, nervous over the months they stayed in a single place and then swept the two away again, as if running from something. By the time they came to live with Sandra, the damage had been done; Callie, despite a natural keenness of mind and a relative affability that let her just about coast through schoolwork and friendships, was behind on more or less every academic metric and had a lack of motivation to match. If, after all, her teachers and schoolmates changed so regularly, any effort she put into making a good impression or form connections would just go to waste. Why make the effort?
That changed a few months after Callie’s thirteenth birthday. Taking a stroll past a lake just outside the town that had – surprisingly to her – been her home for a good length of time now, her ear caught an odd series of sounds accompanied by what resembled an alarmed voice in the distance. Turning to look, she saw a woman thrashing at the water, small rowboat upturned and floating away over the rippling surface. In that instant, Callie reached out to help – and found that there was nothing she could do. For the first time, she fully regretted her indifference; she regretted not having had the presence of mind when walking here before to memorise where any of the lifebuoys were, dotted around the lakeside; she regretted having let learning to swim go by the wayside somewhere in her various relocations; she regretted being sufficiently apathetic as to not bring a phone with her or, indeed, to know what this lake in particular was called so she could guide an emergency responder to it; and she regretted not paying attention to the assembly given by a lifeguard on one day in one particular school whose name she couldn’t remember, that she might have properly known what to do in the first place.
For the first time in her life, Callie wished she might have done things differently.
She wished she could do something now.
And, from within her, something answered.
A brilliant flash of light in her palm, materialising into solid form. Moments later, a pulse in the air beside her; shimmering, marine light on the grass, followed by a deluge that knocked her off her feet and dropped one sopping wet ex-drownee onto the ground beside her. She had tried – and the world had made clear to her that that would make an impact.
How far could she go?
From that point on, Callie’s every action was infused with energy. Between the story being picked up by the local newspaper, the touch of renown that she gained in the community as a result and her generally more pleasant demeanour, she started to make some proper friends (and, of course, some enemies among those whose carefully constructed cliques were disrupted); astute enough to realise that a lot of these relationships were superficial but sufficiently determined and free-thinking enough to decide to forge them into actual bonds, Callie began building a network that not only further propelled her emotional rise but also brought those others with her towards fulfilment, her joyful and determined demeanour infectious. Simultaneously, realising that the key to her future and her growth laid in her new Noble Arm, she began practising with it on her own and doing research and joining several Arms fora online to start investigating its powers.
Eventually that research led her to the US’ Arms Master Cadets programme, in which Callie saw an opportunity to finally use her newfound power for good. Mary saw something else; Callie would often catch sight of her mother watching her out of the corner of her eyes, wringing her hands, muttering, every tic and negative signal of body language multiplied a thousand-fold. Sandra’s stabilising influence helped; Callie, on the other hand, could not decide whether her presence was causing her mother more pain than she would by leaving, even as her past, so long unquestioned, began to bubble in the back of her mind. With her new impetus driving her on, however, doing nothing simply wasn’t an option and, though she had picked up in school, it was clear that academics would be a path of far, far greater resistance given her track record. Her aunt in her corner and covering for her mother’s concerns, Callie eventually signed up for the programme, packed her bags and made her way onwards.
From there, everything accelerated. Entirely separate from the regular JROTC programme, auxiliary to a normal education, the AMC’s work is simply to take young Arms Masters and turn them into soldiers – to explore and actualise the martial potential of each cadet and especially their Arm’s powers and then integrate them as seamlessly as possible into their armed forces, all while securing their loyalty. For Callie, it achieved one of those three very effectively! With experienced Arms Masters and experts in their study helping her and dedicated testing facilities and events to experiment within at her full potential and full of sharpness and conviction, she became a skilled, diligent and distinguished warrior. Once again, her energy was infectious and she quickly made close friends amongst the other young Arms Masters on the programme (not so hard – being the person to near-instantly evacuate you to your team’s medic in a training exercise tends to endear you to them).
As for the other two… As she went on through the programme, Callie began to realise that she was being pushed in a certain direction: that of special and covert operations, reconnaissance, assassination. On a purely strategic and tactical level, she could understand that – information gathering, rapid movement and precision striking power were her Arm’s specialities – but she also wasn’t naïve. Even the brief period of research she’d done before she entered the AMC had told her what the country she and her mother had come to was capable of; while she’d put that to the back of her mind at the time it increasingly weighed on her thoughts as she approached the end of her training, something only reinforced by the patriotic tendencies of her fellows and their superiors.
The war in South-East Asia offered a way out. While the US has so far refused to commit to a full military response to Chinese aggression, for fear of escalation to unrestricted conflict between their Arms Masters with a level of accompanying global devastation unseen since WW2, they were willing to send materiel, military advisors and training and, off the table, covert military support. As a capable fighter who had not yet seen action and so was not identifiable by the enemy, Callie was in an ideal position to take advantage – and she knew it, seizing what she felt was an opportunity to use her training and skills to do something fairly unambiguously good. And so, after intensive training in Filipino and in the Philippines’ culture and geography and picking up some new skills over a period of six months, Caroline Lidmann, officially an unaffiliated Arms Master volunteering with the Philippine Army from abroad, headed for her new posting.
Current Goal: Support the Philippine resistance to Chinese invasion without revealing her true role.
Military or Civilian Rank: As a participant in covert operations, Callie has technically been transferred out of the US Armed Forces to become likely the youngest member of the CIA’s Special Operations Group, though the rapid development of the ASEAN War and the lack of need for much of the usual process (parachute training, for instance, was considered basically irrelevant for her) has left some holes in her preparation for the latter.
Muscular, yet lean, Henri is 187 tall and weights 85 kg. On his right shoulder there's a badge depicting Canis Major, symbol of the Laelaps-unit.
Name:Henri Janssens
Age:27
Nationality:Belgian
Noble Arm Name & Appearance:Leonidas
Noble Arm Rank:
Power: B Speed: B Range: D Persistence: C Precision: D Potential: D
Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: Counter, Void, Melee/Short-Range
Noble Arm Abilities:
Leonidasis an Anti-NA weapon. It was born out of Henri's reserved nature and distrust of Arms Masters.
Phalanx Leonidas' passive default power. Any NA attack upon it is blocked. However, it only works on its own surface area. Anything else goes right through, so Henri will have to grouch, if he wants to spare his lower body from an attack larger than Leonidas' surface.
Fighting in Shade By placing Leonidas above his head, Henri forms a bubble of 20 meters in diameter around himself that nullifies NA attacks within. However, it offers no protection from mundane arsenal whatsoever. Indirect NA attack (such as telekinetically thrown rock) also passes through. The protective area of the bubble is also indiscriminate in its nullifying effect, suppressing enemy and ally NA powers alike(though it doesn't unsummon said noble arms, only allowing arms masters to theoretically use their NA as regular weapons, if said NA can be used as a regular weapon, or the Arms Master knows how to use their NA as a regular weapon). As such Henri needs to keep a distance from other Arms Masters, both for the efficiency of allies, and in a case of enemy Arms Master, Henri's own safety. The field activates immediately after Henri puts the shield up and says the Password "Fighting in Shade". The field shuts down when the shield is lowered or Henri no longer has the strength to do so. 30 seconds is the maximum, after which Henri needs a breather. Breathers increase in length the more times Henri uses the power. Henri can put Leonidas up without activating the effect. Misc Abilities: Henri is a trained soldier, skilled in firearms, engineering and survival tactics. These come useful if and when he needs to keep Leonidas dormant.
Personality: As a professional soldier, Henri attempts to not let emotions get in the way. He's not made of stone, however, and can connect with other people, though he's not sure if he should.
For Henri, powers should only be given to the responsible. As such he tends to be distrustful of Arms Masters, particularly the young ones, who for him are likely to misuse it. At the same time, he wishes that the young would be allowed to grow on their own and make their on decisions, something granted to him, but not many others.
Although highly trained and prepared, Henri still feels some nervousness. He is out here to prove the capabilities of the Laelaps-unit, so much is at stake.
Henri doesn't trust either Seven Virtues or Downward Descent, seeing the former as liars and the latter as nutcases.
Likes: Routine, good food
Dislikes: Deceivers, power-seekers
Fears: Loss of close people, Powerlessness
Bio: Henri grew up in the Flanders region of Belgium. Though his home country was relatively peaceful, the chaos of a world with Arms Masters reached there. At a young age, Henri decided to become a soldier, and excelled quite well in the Belgian Defence Force. Something unexpected happened after a year the Big Three appeared. Henri was summoned to Berlin along with other soldiers across the EU to form a special task force to deal with the increasing Arms Master threat: The Laelaps-unit.
Trained to fight Arms Masters and granted Noble Arms by the Paragons of Science (when the soldiers weren't Arms Masters already), the Laelaps-unit was designed to keep the Europe safe and stable. Henri himself received Leonidas, an anti-NA shield born from his distrust of Arms Masters.
The original first mission of the Laelaps-unit was to act covertly in studying the supposed Downward Descent infiltrators among the influential people of Europe, but the Chinese and Russian Crises forced the unit's reveal ahead of schedule. Henri was sent to the Philippines to assist ASEAN forces. This will be his baptism in fire.
Current Goal: Finish the mission in the Philippines
Cuong (left, black-haired and black-eyed), Nikolay(right, blonde and silver-eyed)
Name: Cuong Hoang Van (Sometimes referred as Hoang Van Cuong), Nikolay Phan (old surname: Morozov)
Age: Cuong - 26, Nikolay - 28
Nationality: Vietnamese and Russian-Vietnamese respectively
Noble Arm Name & Appearance: N/A
Misc Abilities: - Fighter Aces: Both these men are exceptional pilots in their own rights, knowing their craft inside-out. They are capable of performing seemingly impossible acrobatics, almost as if they possess a Noble Arms user in the cockpit. - Strong Endurance: They are trained in enduring intense high-g, as well as experienced combatants themselves. They can take long duration flights as well as performing sharp aerial maneuvers easily. They won't tank a bullet to their chest, but in the air, don't expect them to stop zipping around anytime soon. - Good Situational Awareness, Teamwork, Concise Communication, Mathematical Skills: As expected of any air force pilot.
Personality (Cuong): A mature and level-headed member of the squadron, Cuong is almost zen-like in most scenarios. Even in the most stressful combat scenario, he would still keep his composure, often expressing dry disregards or casual jokes at the danger he found himself in. To many from the outside, he looks like a serious and dutiful soldier, quietly plucking away at his assignments. But the reality is he is a relatively inoffensive person, not making too much noises, often letting others, most likely his more boisterous co-pilot Nikolay, to take the lead, and is actually quite chill and chatty if you open up to him. He likes some good ol' simplicity: good food, good sleep, good laughter and quality peacetime.
*Likes: Flying, eating, quietness, overall just peaceful times
*Dislikes: Senseless violence, war, bad food, overall dickish behaviors idk
Fears: Loss of family, friends, his comrade Nikolay, etc.
Personality (Nikolay): In contrast to his peaceful co-pilot Cuong, Nikolay is noticeably louder and more hotheaded. He lives more for the thrills of life. He lives on unpredictability and likes to wager on things, often using real money too, which did get him into trouble with the authority a couple of times. In combat, he enjoys a dangerous fight, preferring more aggressive approaches in fights. However, and perhaps thanks to the more mediating presence of his co-pilot, he knew to restrain himself from going too far. If you can tolerate this side of him, he's quite friendly. And if you think the war humor that his comrade Cuong engages it might be a little too much, oh boy...
He does have a bit of a sore spot if you mention his surname Morozov, however; something he'd casually remind you not to mention in his face ever again.
*Likes: Flying, gambling, high thrill activities, strategy games.
*Dislikes: The typical stuffs like above. Also, don't mention his extended family.
Fears: Ditto
Bio:
The ASEAN war did not begin with a sudden invasion. The Chinese have been harassing the Vietnamese borders decades before, launching increasing intensity and blatant artillery strikes upon strategic locations, but villages were either misidentified or deliberately targeted. Cuong's father was one early victims to these bombardments, perishing in his bedroom at night when the shell collapses the house. His mother and he, at 12 years old, managed to survive the house collapse, but fearing further attacks by the Chinese, they moved inland and settled in Hanoi near an airbase, which kindled Cuong's young interest in aviation.
The tragedy left the family in a shaky situation. His father had been the family's breadwinner, and losing him (along with his entire fortune) meant Cuong had to make ends meet working side-jobs at the same time as he attend schools. He struggled at both, but the experience hardened him as a person. He managed to finish high school but was unable to continue his education onto university, and thus was conscripted when he was 18. He was a sharp kid, combined with his interest and knowledge in aircraft from his time near the airbase, he enlisted in the Vietnam People's Air Force (VPAF) 6 months later. He proved his prowess as a trainee and graduated among the top of his class. At this point in his life, he never drove a car or motorcycle in his life, going from riding a dusty bicycle directly to operating a modernized multirole Russian SU-30MK2, significantly improved by the Paragon of Science's technology. There, he met Lieutenant Nikolay Phan, his copilot. Despite the contrast between the characters, the two men worked together well along with their new squadron.
Nikolay's grandfather was a Soviet military advisor to the Vietnamese military during the Indochina/Vietnam War period, and for their service, upon retirement (along with the collapse of the Soviet Union), they immigrated to Vietnam with their immediate family. His father married a Vietnamese woman and subsequently had Nikolay. He bore a lot of traits from his father, including his surname despite insistence by the mother.
His childhood was...middling. While he lived comfortable life with a mother who tried her best to raise him, his father was fairly absent and quite abusive. His parent argued a lot, but tended to keep the argument away from their young kid. He was often left to his own devices, and would often get bored and lonely. His grades were barely average, and his foreign appearance often got him bullied in schools, and so he'd often hang out with gangs, smoke and gamble - some big no-noes in schools. He'd find himself expelled when he was in high school and sent to military schools.
Political turmoil escalated, and the threats of China were causing an increasing rift between the two sides of the family. The mother's side supportive of Vietnamese resistance, while the father's side supporting China and Russia. Things eventually erupted with Russian's Crimean crisis, with the Morozov family in Vietnam cutting contact with their foreign extended family. The only reason Nikolay's father did not sign a divorce was due to the social stigma associated with such case. But in any cases, they were separated. Nikolay, being 20 at the time, angrily disowned his father and changed his family name to his mother's, Phan, in recognition of her efforts in raising him.
While Nikolay's gambling tendency did not fully go away, military life did knock it down a couple pegs. He would volunteer for flight training in the VPAF, training 4 years in the trainer then transferred to the SU-22 in an airbase near the border to deal with the Chinese border skirmish. He had a surprisingly solid track record during these times, and was thus authorized to transfer to the 930th 'Lotus' Fighter Bomber Squadron, serving as co-pilot to a promising talent, Senior Lieutenant Hoang Van Cuong.
Chinese build-up of military might was of no surprises to the Vietnamese, who anticipated the invasion threat long before the world started noticing. So when the Chinese began their invasion in earnest (11 months before the Philippine's invasion), they were surprised to meet a strong Vietnamese resistance. Chinese forces often relied on numerical superiority, even in the air, and this proved to be a juicy experience for the air forces. They often found themselves in excellent attack position due to lack of enemy reconnaissance. Cuong and Nikolay's first victory came only 2 months in, as Lotus Squadron scrambled to intercept the threat of a Hanoi bombing run. They cleverly used cloud cover to mask their approach. As they emerged into view, Chinese jets were caught off-guard and were shot down in great numbers. 4 strategic bombers were lost that day, along with 5 escorts to no losses for the SU-30s, forcing the rest of the squadrons to turn back around.
The Chinese would reattempt more bombing attacks, with escort jets carrying their own Arms Master to help shoot down the Vietnamese jets. But the repeated hit-and-run 'insurgency' tactics by the VPAF didn't make them effective. Even in dogfights, these well-trained pilots proved to be a tough match for the Chinese air force. By the 9th month of the invasion, the numerically superior Chinese army failed to secure air superiority over the Vietnamese battlefield, and the invasion quickly stalled.
As for Lotus Squadron, they went on to achieve 5 more aerial victories, destroying over 50 Chinese aircrafts and in the process solidifying their fearsome reputation. Cuong and Nikolay's craft downed 10 themselves, signifying each downed aircraft a small pink lotus at the front of their SU-30. Since the invasion stalled and the threat of Chinese using the Philippines as a launching pad into central Vietnam, high command dispatched the 930th Squadron to aid the Filipinos, whose air defense are unprepared for the invasion.
*Current Goal: Helping the Filipinos thwart Chinese aggression.
Military or Civilian Rank: Cuong - Senior Lieutenant, Nikolay - Lieutenant
Description: Lotus Squadron, officially the 930th Fighter-Bomber Squadron, is a unit in the Vietnam's People's Air Force. It is one of many units formed in response to the rise of China's militarism and threat of attack. Consisting of 8 SU-30MK2, improved with Paragons of Science's witchcraft technology, its armaments (missiles, bombs, etc.) much lighter and smaller, allowing the aircraft to triple its normal load capacity, meanwhile enhancing the maneuvrability of both the plane and its missiles. The squadron is distinguishable by its azure paint coating, along with pink lotus emblems on their aircraft's tails.
Members of Lotus Squadron are noticeably well-trained, highly capable fighter pilots. Unlike expendable ground forces, air force pilots and aircraft are not easily replaceable, as such these men and women received top notch training, not just in individual skills but also team coordination and various tactical doctrines. The versatility in both crew training and aircraft capabilities means the squadron would often be assigned a variety of missions and sent to important frontiers, including helping foreign allies with their aerial situations.
During the Chinese invasion of Vietnam, the squadron was deployed in the northern frontier, tasked with denying Chinese air superiority. The squadron's superior pilots, combined with proper battle doctrine, Chinese over-reliance on their Arms Masters, allowed them to score numerous victories in the air. As the invasion began to stalemate, high command decided to pull out Lotus squadron to be applied to more important pressure point in the ASEAN theatre, such as the invasion of the Philippines. As of their transfer, they were credited with 6 aerial victories, over 50 Chinese aircraft shot down. Qingshe's upgrade
Armament: Missiles have been given dual Active-homing and Semi-active-homing capabilities. A trifeca of infrared, visual locks and onboard missile radar used in tandem work to counter various forms of interference. Minor AI helps missiles differentiate targets. Of special note, the visual lock has been upgraded with the capacity to recognize, snapshot and pursue a single biological target, like an individual person, allowing enemy Arms Masters -for example- to be targeted directly; though, this is not as accurate or protected against interference. (Blueprints provided.)
Structure: D30 variant non-newtonian kinetic armor, layered under the surface of the main body. Effective against most plane-mounted cannons and non-missile AA. Also rated against physical impacts/stress in general. No use typically against mundane elemental/exotic effects. Doesn't shield areas like the flaps, windshield and thrusters. (Blueprints provided).
Power: Liquid fuel system completely chucked and replaced with electrical. The jets are now off-brand Teslas with high-efficiency solar panels on either side of the spine. Internal battery good for 12 hours of high/active combat performance and can be recharged at coasting/traveling speeds or less. OPL has been primarily utilized here to lower the weight of the new system and protect against EMP attacks. Also allows the recharging to occur at night, generating electricity in the absence of other sources. (Blueprints provided.)
Qingshe can be assumed to provide replacement ammunition or repairs to modified sections between battles/missions where feasible until a line of resupply can be attained from Vietnam now replicating those improvements.
Alain and Ari are a brother-sister pair with complementary abilities. Alain wields a sword, and Ari a shield. I didn't salvage their personalities or bio, but I did update their sheet with the modern stat system. Specifics of their abilities may be bent from this version of the sheet. For example, there's no intention to use Devouring Darkness as an instant kill, like it's stated to be capable of.

Oathsworn: Gives the blade a bluish-white glow around its edge. Believed to empower the blade with holy light for the purpose of vanquishing darkness. It also gives the blade a lighter weight allowing its Master to swing it with greater ease than the sword's size would suggest, in addition to empowering the strikes with the element of Light and giving it tremendous cutting power to the degree of cleaving armored vehicles and building walls with ease. This light energy can be expanded by Alain to a certain degree, effectively giving the Claimh Solais an increased length and width for wider swings and better guarding capabilities. The sword's light also appears to gives it an edge over darkness, giving it the capability of taking or deflecting dark energy with only minimal effort.
Active
Oathbreaker: A dangerous power in which the Arms Master forsakes Light in order to embrace Darkness. The bluish-white glow is replaced with a deep, dark purple one that can be utilized in an identical matter. This converts all previous abilities into Dark versions capable of greater damage and destructive power at the cost of gradual bodily degradation the longer the form is used. In addition, the powers themselves cost twice as much stamina to use. The degradation can be recovered over time, but cannot be healed by magic unless it is the magic of another Arms Master other than themselves. Cleansing Light becomes Veil Of Darkness, while Mending Light becomes Devouring Darkness. The degradation combined with the extra stamina costs result in this form only being usable for anywhere between 1-3 attacks before the user collapses from the drained stamina and degradation incurred by it. They must then take whatever time is needed to rest and recuperate before being able to call on this power again.
[OS]Cleansing Light: An appropriately named ability that comes from charging the blade with more Light, followed by thrusting its tip into the ground. Upon impact, the sword's light explodes outward for a light elemental blast that burns enemies with pure burning Light. Oddly enough, the Light doesn't seem to incur much structural damage to buildings or vehicles, instead damaging primarily living targets. The range of the radius is controlled by the user, and can be expanded up to the size of a city block at the cost of being more taxing on the user. Alternatively the Light can instead be focused into a single direction, producing a single long ranged blade beam whose width can be similarly controlled, up to a maximum of 60 meters. And unlike the burst, the blade beams are capable of slicing into and destroying vehicles or structures. Finally, Alain is capable of controlling who is damaged by the Light, reducing the risk of any friendly fire. Strangely the power is incapable of harming Ari no matter what the circumstance, likely having to due with their sibling bond.
[OS]Mending Light: A unique power that channels light not through the blade, but through the wielder's hands. They can use this light to instantly heal severe wounds and injuries of any person they touch.
[OB]Veil of Darkness: The Dark form of Cleansing Light. It used in very much the same way, but its maximum radius is doubled to 2 city blocks. Meanwhile, the blade beam form of the attack is also doubled, with a maximum width of 120 meters. The doubled range and power of the attacks naturally incur a doubled stamina cost for using them. Unlike Cleansing Light, Veil of Darkness can cause serious damage to both people and structures alike, regardless of whether it's the burst or the blade beam. Also unlike Cleansing Light, Alain is incapable of controlling who is damaged by the Darkness with Ari once again as the sole exception, and so the attack is reserved only for scenarios in which Alain is facing a large enemy alone.
[OB]Devouring Darkness: The Dark form of Mending Light. Rather than heal, this instead acts a spell for inflicting wounds. It similarly must be used via touching the intended target. Once this is done, the victim is inflicted with a bodily degradation similar to Alain's own. But theirs is instead much more rapid, if not outright instantaneous should Alain pour enough stamina energy into it. At minimum, a victim of this attack will be dead in approximately 4-5 seconds if they are not rescued or are unable to escape Alain's grasp. Ari is the one and only person with immunity to this attack.

Oathsworn: Gives the shield a bluish-white glow around its edge. Believed to empower it with holy light for the purpose of reflecting darkness. Mainly it also gives the shield a lighter weight allowing its Master to carry it with greater ease than the shield's size would suggest, in addition to empowering its ability to defend against other Noble Arms.
Active
Oathbreaker: A dangerous power in which the Arms Master forsakes Light in order to embrace Darkness. The bluish-white glow is replaced with a deep, dark purple one that can be utilized in an identical matter. This converts all previous abilities into Dark versions capable of twice as much power and range at the cost of gradual bodily degradation the longer the form is used. In addition, all powers also cost double the stamina to be used. The degradation can be recovered over time, but cannot be healed by magic unless it is the magic of another Arms Master other than themselves. Wall of Light becomes Wall Of Darkness, and Mending Shield becomes Decaying Darkness. The degradation combined with the extra stamina costs result in this form only being usable for anywhere between 1-3 power uses before the user collapses from the drained stamina and degradation incurred by it. They must then take whatever time is needed to rest and recuperate before being able to call on this power again.
[OS]Wall of Light: A purely defensive wall of Light summoned by the Arms Master, creating a nearly impenetrable domed barrier around themselves. The size of the barrier is controlled by the Arms Master, and can be gradually increased to the size of a city block. The larger the barrier, the more taxing it is to maintain for long periods, and it weakens over time as the Arms Master grows tired and fatigued. An individual sized barrier (protecting only Ari) can be sustained for up to 30 minutes before mental taxation tires her out. Meanwhile, a full sized barrier (city block) can only be sustained for about 5 minutes before the strain becomes too much. The barrier can endure all manner of attacks and firepower, faltering only to something as large as an ICBM or greater. The barrier will slowly drain stamina in order to be sustained, but additional bits of stamina will need to be used to keep it steady as it is attacked or bombarded. And finally, the barrier only blocks from the outside. People and projectiles coming from the inside will be able to pass through harmlessly, but will be unable to go back through it unless Ari has already identified them as an ally. Alain seems to be the only exception to this rule, able to pass through freely at will, likely because of their sibling bond.
[OS]Mending Shield: The Wall of Light is given an enhanced shine, allowing those within to slowly slowly regain lost stamina and even slowly heal minor injuries. This does however increase the strain of maintaining the barrier by a factor of 50%. This likely won't have a noticeable effect on Arms Masters due to their built-in survivability. However non-Arms Masters that this is used for will certainly appreciate it giving them their own psuedo-survivability even it is only brief.
[OB]Wall of Darkness: The dark form of Wall of Light. Like any Oathbreaker power, it has double the range, power, and stamina cost of Wall of Light, though for the Wall this applies primarily to range and stamina cost. The power gradually summons a dark barrier whose size can be increased up to two city blocks. Unlike Wall of Light, Wall of Darkness does not keep things out. Rather it acts as a temporary prison to keep things trapped within. The inverted rules of Wall of Light apply here. People can freely enter from the outside, but are unable to leave once inside. Similarly, the stamina drain this incurs is proportional to the size of the barrier, about 20 minutes for an individual size, and roughly 4-5 minutes for the full size. Once again Alain appears to be the sole exception, able to pass through freely.
[OB]Decaying Darkness: The dark form of Mending Shield. This power inflicts a gradual bodily degradation effect on victims who have been caught in the Wall of Darkness. The degradation will even apply to weapons and other equipment that is not a Noble Arm. Unlike Alain's Devouring Darkness, Decaying Darkness only does damage slowly and over time and will only kill someone after they've been under its effect for a full 2 minutes. Similarly to Mending Shield, this power incurs a 50% increase on the stamina drain of Wall of Darkness while active. Like many of their other powers, Alain seems to be the sole person with immunity to its effect.
”Why am I here? I can understand the question. I am not the strongest, or the fastest. I’m not extremely persuasive or clever. All I have is my blade and my resolve. Therefore, I’ll prove myself, so that no one questions me or my abilities.” Appearance: A lanky man with a tense air to him, his eyes wandering unless in conversation or actively focusing on something. His hair was black before, but his Noble Arm’s toll caused him extreme stress in the past, to a point where his hair began graying. His hands are unusually big, and covered with rough calluses as a result of constant training with his NA. Height: 6’3” Weight: 190 lbs Build: Fit and lanky
Name: Nico Makri
Age: 24
Nationality: Greek
Noble Arm Name & Appearance: Helios Rod, an ornate golden and white saber.
Noble Arm Rank: B
Power: B-A (S) (Sun Stoked) Speed: C-B (S) (Sun Stoked) Range: E-D+ (S) (Wildfire Dance) Persistence: D-C (S) (Sunsetter) Precision: C-B (S) (Sunsetter) Potential: D (S)
Helios Rod slowly grows and changes as Nico practices with and understands how to use the sword. However, this growth is held back by a combination of Nico’s lack of experience and Helios Rod’s volatile nature.
Noble Arm Type, Element, and Range: Support/Melee, Sun and Fire, close-to-mid-range
Noble Arm Abilities:
Burning Edge: Nico can coat his sword’s edge in flames, making the sword akin to a plasma cutter, melting through most mundane metals with ease. When the edge makes contact with Moon- or Dark-themed NAs, Helios Rod flares up in an attempt to burn away the darkness. Nico isn’t immune to this ability, so if Helios Rod touches him, it will burn. (Sun Stoke makes the edge burn white hot, turning almost anything mundane touched into ashes)
Inner Sun: Helios Rod gives Nico slight pyrokinesis, granting his unarmed strikes an explosive effect. The force of the explosion is equal to double the force of the original attack. Nico has to worry about the recoil from these strikes, as too many consecutive blows can cause damage to his joints. (Sunsetter delays the explosive force for a few moments, giving the strikes an element of surprise and mitigating the recoil of the strikes.)
Sun Stoke: As day approaches, Nico’s speed and power are increased a rank higher than his usual, trading defense and subtlety for raw, overwhelming power. Helios Rod burns brighter and responds faster, and Nico’s reflexes and strength rise to match. This makes him seem like a living comet, rushing through the battlefield to get into close range combat. However, this isn’t without costs. The more Nico uses his enhanced power, the more he heats up, running the risk of hyperthermia as a battle drags on.
Radiant Burst: A wave of light extends in a 20 foot radius centered on Nico, accelerating the healing process of himself and any allies in the AoE, closing up most moderate injuries (ie. slashes, burns, and small caliber gunshots). It also blinds any enemies caught within the radius, similar to a flash grenade. This ability shifts targets depending on who Nico considers an ally or enemy at the time, so even those fighting beside Nico may be blinded if he doesn’t trust them.
Wildfire Dance: During the hours of 11AM to 1PM, Nico’s strikes release waves of fire. These strikes can hit targets up to 100 feet away with the force of a missile. These attacks pass through allies harmlessly, following the rules set by Radiant Burst.
Sunsetter: As night approaches, Helios Rod’s abilities alter. It increases Nico’s persistence and precision by a rank, giving his strikes more finesse in trade for less raw power. This gives him immunity to his own flames and boosts his regeneration to a level where most superficial wounds heal instantly (ie. scrapes and glancing blows). Sunsetter also hones Nico’s mind, making his senses 4 times more acute than the average person.
Vanishing Step: Nico disappearing from one point for an instant and reappearing in a different point. This is a result of him using Helios Rod to mark a location, Nico maneuvering the opponent into having that spot outside their field of view, and returning to it in order to launch a surprise attack. He must stay within 30 feet of the mark, otherwise it dissipates.
Godspeed Dance: During the hours of 12AM to 2AM, Nico’s precision reaches a point that rivals even well trained Noble Arms Masters. He can act and react to the world around him in mere milliseconds without stumbling or pausing to reposition. However, this godlike precision is costly. It severely wears down on his stamina, so he prefers using it in short bursts, making rapid movements and evasive action.
Misc Abilities:
Alertness: Nico barely needs sleep, being able to get a good night’s rest in 3-4 hours. He’s constantly assessing the environment, taking note of strange objects and people alike.
Multilingual: Nico knows English and French, along with his native Greek. He learned French and English as electives in school and kept studying until he was able to hold conversation with tourists and the like.
Compass: Nico’s internal compass is better than the average citizen. He can ignore the sun’s glare and the darkness of night to find his way back to wherever he slept before.
Unyielding Resolve: Whether a passive ability of Helios Rod, Nico's years of training, or a combination of the two, he has a frankly absurd level of mental fortitude, in no small part thanks to his humble mindset. It has reached a point to where even mind- and body-controlling Noble Arms have some difficulty affecting him, with Helios Rod having the potential to render them less effective.
Personality: As a newbie to the war business, Nico attempts to not let his doubts get in the way, burying them under a veil of pride. He's not arrogant and enjoys connecting with other people, wanting to learn more about the lives of those outside of Athens. For Nico, powers are something given to those who earn it. As such he tends to take training very seriously, being annoyed at lazy Arms Masters, particularly the strong ones, who for him are choosing to waste the strength they were given. At the same time, he wishes that the weak be allowed to grow on their own and walk newer paths, a gift granted to him that he wishes to help spread to everyone. Nico is out here to prove his resolve to the world, his pride is at stake. As for the Big Three, Nico tolerates Seven Virtues, thinking of them as a bunch of pricks with the right idea and bad execution, but sees Downward Descent as psychos and nihilists, viewing their ideals as complete insanity.
*Likes: Spicy food, sour drinks, cheese, parties, all nighters
Bio: Nico always had a fascination with knights and heroes of legends, having grown up in a country where some of the most famous myths came from. He was born in Athens at exactly high noon, a good omen. His family ran a small hotel near Athens Airport, so there was always some new person to meet, and a new story to hear. His mother and father encouraged his curiosity as a kid, letting him help around the hotel and talk to the guests. Once Nico left for university, he kept a hotel key with him as a memento.
Helios Rod appeared a month or so after Nico graduated from uni, at exactly high noon. Awakening his Noble Arm led him to take up swordplay just in case something ever happened. As he got better with the sword and his form improved, he realized that wanting to help people didn’t mean much if there weren’t many people in need of help. In lieu of the Greek Debt Crisis, he became a freelance mercenary for some form of steady income. Working with ASEAN gave Nico a chance to put his abilities to the test, to forge his will in fire.
*Current Goal: Protect those behind and beside him, and give others a chance to walk their path.
