I am working on a post I promise. The other GMs have seen part or it. Work just be crazy. I've got time this weekend set aside for it specifically.
Is there any room for more characters?
<Snipped quote by Sep>
I know I haven't posted yet (working on getting that reminded by tomorrow night), but I would be happy to hurl Raven into things
<Snipped quote by Bonnie>
Yeah sure.
<Snipped quote by Queen Arya>
Cool. IF you're still good for it I should have it finished today. This will also open it up to any other Gotham peeps.

I created paradise, it might have lasted forever... And yet... I couldn't stand it. I couldn't stand me. In this iteration, and in this story, Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley is an older woman, in her early-forties. She has spent most of her adult years in and out of Arkham Asylum for only ever trying to protect nature, the world - in her own way, of course. She has always been masterful at obscuring and changing the truth, creating a skewed version of events where she is the hero. Those who had died were simply faceless villains in her battle. She is easily enraged, and is especially distrusting - especially towards men. Despite her best efforts to redeem herself in recent years and to live peacefully, she can be prone to spells of aggression. But, she still tries again, in spite of each setback. She now takes residence in a pavilion-turned-greenhouse in Robinson Park, monitored closely so that she doesn't overstep, and if she does the threat of another trip to Arkham is always there. She's always been caught before. It's not like she hasn't got her ear to the ground though, she knows enough to be able to whisper a secret to the right person for the right price when it counts. She has connections. Now, Ivy longs more than ever to create a Garden of Eden away from Gotham, but not before she has faced her true past. Following Ivy, is a Rolodex of enemies from a variety of places - a trail of scorned friends, and ex-lovers. When she sleeps, each spurned face haunts her as if she's on trial and they are her jury, but they're all she has. She hopes that her next favour and good deed is going to be enough to get her out of Gotham for good. Justice League, Injustice Gang... They're all the same really, aren't they? And she's moved through them and others over the years - serving only her own agenda, to push back against humanity and protect the Earth.
It was only when she befriended her that Ivy slowed down. The two of them finding peace in each other, so much so that the outside world quietened, in the wake of Despero, things were more still, and they made a home in each other and eventually love grew. But as quickly as it grew, it withered again - or the flames of passion burnt down to the roots - leaving only smoke as she went back to him, and left Ivy with not much more than a mirror to finally see her true self, and all that she'd done.
Ivy has been committed to Arkham multiple times in her life. She is easily enraged, and is especially distrusting - especially towards men. Despite her best efforts to redeem herself in recent years and to live peacefully, she can be prone to spells of aggression. But, she still tries again, in spite of each setback.

She has spent many of her years in true belief that she is the hero - perhaps this time, she can finally be a real one.________________________________________________________________________________________P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S )

Who quite knows what happened with Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn? But whatever it was, it was bad. Yet, she wants to make amends to Harley more than anything, to make sure that even if in this life they're not together - that Harley is at least happy, and rid of particular temptations.

A hugely successful stage performer, of course, but a performer none the less. Giovanni Zatara was the world’s preeminent illusionist, playing to sell out crowds for years, and managing a residency in Vegas. His daughter, meanwhile, traded in reality, as she saw it. She studied hard, and got into Penn Medical School, seeing all the craziness in the world and wanting to do something material to help out the normal people of the world. But all that is going to be turned on its head as Zatara disappears and leaves a cryptic note for Zatanna as the only clue to unraveling the mystery. What follows will be an unraveling of reality and the opening of a greater world. Am I crazy for doing an origin story? Maybe! But that’s what I’m doing! P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) The magic side of the DC universe is something I’ve not really engaged with in these games much before, but I think it’s one of the most fascinating aspects of the universe, especially more so than Marvel’s mystic side. With Zatanna, I want to create a new mythology for the magic user, going into some more fantastical situations. I have a hankering to start a Justice League Dark-like situation, but with more of a BPRD-like feel than anything. But before that, I want to start with her discovering the world is even stranger than she already thought it was. |
