Max fought back sending Miranda a glare as she decided to interject on his parenting skills. Obviously he wasn’t going to snag the child from Bonnie’s arms and begin to rock her for her. He’d have gone off on an entire tangent about how stuffed animals were appropriate at any age, so much so that hospitals provided them at birth at times. How the soft plush could help offer comfort to the babe as it cried and helped to soothe it down from whatever temper it had, and in lieu of all that it at least functioned as a suction toy. Babies were notorious for suckling on vastly anything they could get their hands on. Aside from the numerous tomes that Max devoured over his short superheroing break, he also managed to consume many parenting books as his anxiety kicked into overdrive and he at one point went power crazy as he baby proofed every corner of the house. All of it to boil down and say that Max, had he cared to open that can of worms, would’ve turned to Miranda and told her that if he wanted advice from an absent mother and known abandoner of her children then he’d ask for it. His quick rise in temper was immediately extinguished as Bonnie took his small peace offering and thanked him for it before handing it to the baby.

Max made way as Carolina came in for a hug with the new stranger, clearly having known her from her siblings time in SHIELD as it was pointed out. He’d had his own encounters with their agents, wondering if any of the ones he’d met were Carolina’s sister, but now wasn’t the time to ask about the family tree. (Un)fortunately for him, Lance had decided to try and get the ball rolling again, re addressing the questions that Max had already asked, while simultaneously throwing doubt out to the fact that this may all be related. He didn’t see how this was a hard string to follow. Mutant attacks happened at two separate locations, spiriting away several of their team, now a stranger comes in saying her husband was also taken and that she needs help. It was clear to Max that Magneto was pulling out all the stops on his new Genosha, and that didn’t just end with current X-men. He hoped it wasn’t mutants in general, a new fear now springing up inside of him as he worried if his house was attacked. They had a former Xmen there as well as four mutants in total plus his son. If Magnet head did anything to harm his family. He clenched his hands into fists as mystic energy flashed between his eyes for a moment before Bonnie’s holo recording pulled him out of his dark thoughts and back to the current task.

He watched the recording, gasping slightly as he saw who Bonnie’s missing husband was. Apparently she married and had a kid with the prince Max had so unsuccessfully tried to court back in WandaWorld. The man he was fighting (aside from being creepy as fuck) rung absolutlely no bells to him. He didn’t appear to be a high profile mutant like the ones he’d heard of fighting them so far. Did Magneto throw his son a freebie so they could be together? Was Wanda going to be waiting for them up there as well? But then why leave Pietro here? Max offered Bonnie a lopsided smile as he rubbed the back of his neck trying to find the best way to phrase this. ”I mean this in the most respectful way Mrs. Chase, but maybe it's best if you stay here in the mansion or back at home if it's safe there. I don't doubt you're capable but space isn't exactly baby friendly.”

Antoinette watched the man who approached them with interest. He had a rather smug face, but Antoinette thought the cape was a nice change. She listened to what he had to say, growing increasingly uncomfortable. Being in space with the mutants’ responsible for Genosha was not a good thing. They were definitely not welcomed here.
She agreed with Perry. They definitely needed to get out of here. ”Excuse me, you said you wanted the strongest here in the event of an attack. Who are you expecting an attack from?” asked Antoinette curiously.

The Mansion

"Wasn't saying I didn't believe you or anything, it has just been a really really long day, and we're trying to figure out what we're doing after most people in this room got beaten in fights and attacks from the Brotherhood, much like he did," Lance said towards Bonnie, unsure what else to say with regards to that. Though he didn't say anything to explain that he and Guin actually hadn't lost, they had chosen to forfeit their fights in order to help the speedster who was dying.

Pietro was very confused as to how the conversation took off in this direction. This was certainly an interesting conversation to be having. "Well now, people honestly probably would expect me to be surprised upon hearing that and all, but honestly I'm not. How many kids, well known kids anyway, does that make now? 5 or so at this point? Something like that, me and Wanda, Lorna, a sibling who died years before I was born, and now this Flynn guy. Though he gets to deal with dad at this point since fairly certain he wants me dead or something considering earlier I got crucified and nearly killed in this whole fighting thing so that's just my thoughts on it."

"Wait, if he's his son too, what happened with that? Like if Magneto knew he was his son, why try to talk to him now or something like that? Why not before? I mean Magneto does seem to put a bit of focus of knowing or meeting his kids. So what happened with that?" That was the question in his mind right now with regards to that. It was a bit strange.

"That would be because up until 9 months ago Erik didn't even know that he existed, since he doesn't remember the reality Wanda created," she ended up responding without even really thinking of what it was that she was saying, but she didn't exactly say it super loudly either. After a moment though, she very much realized what had happened and what exactly she had said. Though she was sort of hoping no one would catch on to how that was a thing. However knowing her luck that wouldn't be the case.

"I mean to be fair he didn't exactly know about any of us at first. Think Wanda and I are the only ones he actually met as kids, and even then he wasn't exactly around for the first part even then. So as stated, not surprising. Got to love the family drama, honestly almost like a soap opera or something. Mostly estranged and even another id no one knew about, that just tends to be how things work around here anyway."

"...Well odds are he's probably on the asteroid we're wanting to head for anyway, so we should be able to find him while we're there. We probably should maybe see about going there before too much more time passes. Who knows now what's even going on up there." They did really need to get going to actually attempt to get everyone else back to Earth, since they still had to go about locating the asteroid. Which they still didn't know where it was.

Asteroid M

Well this was certainly interesting, since it seemed like more then a few members of there group seemed to really just want to punch the guy. Mary wasn't entirely sure that would be a good idea given their current situation, and as of this moment, this guy is the only one who seems to be able to give them any sort of information on where they were and why. "Maybe we don't openly attack the person we just met considering."

"Oh, now see Magneto doesn't actually know about that whole thing. See the idea of the pods were to essentially send out the Brotherhood members to more or less "earn" their spot here. There wasn't any instructions on who you had to fight, but more or less just fight with another power individual if you will. But apparently the egos of some members of the group seemed to think they could beat all of you. Which obviously is very much not the case. Though did at least overhear Exodus seemingly happy with what happened during his fight but he hasn't exactly stated what happened quite yet." he responded with a bit of a shrug, before turning his attention more towards Perry as she spoke to him, and he laughed a little.

"Thought it would have been obvious? There aren't actually really any specific ships so to speak. Only really those pod aircrafts and you might have to potentially program them in order for you to get off the asteroid. At least for now, the idea is that eventually there will be ships that can more easily come and go, everything still is a bit of a work in progress with the logistics of course.

Now he was actually explaining things that made more sense. Several members of the Brotherhood, at least in her mind, thought they were the best thing ever and can beat anyone, so of course their egos would get in the way. Though Annie did bring up a decent point, protect the asteroid from what? "So what exactly would the asteroid need protecting from? Lie Annie said, not sure what you'd be doing since didn't Genosha fall from someone who was already on the island from what I heard?"

"Yes, that is true, hence why we are being much more careful this time around as to who all is allowed on the asteroid, at least to begin with. Who might attack? Well that's pretty self explanatory, humans of course, they still don't very much like mutants and never have, so of course they might see us as a threat," he added, before looking at Neil. "The Acolytes are followers of Magneto, and at least when it comes to the construction of this place we play more of a background role, all in service of Magneto."

"I thought the Brotherhood seemed like a cult at times. Definitely sounds lie your group would fit into that category way better. This doesn't fully explain everything of how this place works."

"Well you are free to roam about as you see fit. The station here is rather large, you should be able to find most any sort of facility you could possibly ask for," Fabian commented, before moving to walk away, but he stopped and turned back around. "The only one of you that Magneto actively sent someone to go fight was him," he added, pointing towards Flynn for a moment, "He only learned of your existence right before Genosha's fall, so he does want to meet you, so keep an eye out he might come and try to find you," he added as he left the group and started walking down the hallway.

"...Ok, what was that about now?" Mira asked, now looking at Flynn for a moment.

"Not entirely sure what he's going on about, pretty sure he might be a bit crazy," Flynn responded, though truthfully he did figure it out, and it was not a great thing in his mind to dwell on.

Jaclyn Chreyz

Location: Mansion - Sitting Room.
Skills: Power Mimicry - Active Power: Flight

Since Max was still near Bonnie and the baby, and Jaclyn's attention was still that way, she noticed his reaction when his parenting instinct was questioned. Day #1 at the X Mansion wasn't likely to be on a list of good firsts for him. Jaclyn also noticed when Max bristled once again, more so, after he'd calmed. By the look in his eyes, Jaclyn thought this time might have been from something he was thinking of than what was going on in the room, but she wasn't sure. And from what flashed in his eyes, Jaclyn was beginning to wonder if Max's emotions linked with his powers.

There were some things that had been said outside....

Jaclyn was brought back to the room when Bonnie started to play the hologram. Impressive tech. What it depicted was almost alarming, how quickly Bonnie's husband ignited, and then that ended that. To learn he was Magneto's son was a further surprise. But what stuck with Jaclyn were Bonnie's words about why she had come to them instead of SHIELD.

It was worse than Jaclyn had been thinking...

Again her attention was brought from her thoughts back to the room. The wonder had crossed her mind when Bonnie first announced her husband was Magneto's son, how Pietro would react. Now Jaclyn heard. He wasn't surprised. Something Lance said next was curious, though.

"Who says Magneto was or is trying to talk to him?" she responded to him, not argumentatively but reasoning. "We're still just speculating on how this is all being done..." she kind of trailed off. Had Miranda just said something? Jaclyn only really caught the word "reality".

In any case, Jaclyn rose from her seat with her bag when Lance mentioned they should probably get going. It was true, anything else that warranted discussion of this could be had on the way...Which now had Jaclyn wondering how fast the X-Jet could travel, outerspace-wise. She'd read somewhere any manned flights to the moon took on average 3 days.

Carolina gave Bonnie a friendly smile when she returned the hug and released her as she took a step back when Bonnie pulled out her phone, and watched as the hologram played before them. Flynn was just leaving the store when he was jumped by his attacker, and it didn't take long before he won his fight, and Flynn was taken away by the same thing that had taken members pf their team. "We'll definetly find him for you." Carolina said to Bonnie reassuring her, Carolina was aware that the Secret Warriors had been disbanded through her sister who joined up with the Avenger's now however Carolina didn't know why though.

Magneto seemed to have kids all over the place but it did make some sense when Bonnie mentioned he was his son, and in Wanda's reality he was also his son there. They were all still talking really and they needed to go and find their friends who were still out in space, as she looked at everyone else there. "If we are done we should probably go out and find them, we can try and plan on our way up there or something." Carolina suggested as she looked at Bonnie and little April in her arms. "If you want to you are welcome to join us, thats up to you though." Carolina said she knew that Bonnie was a capable fighter, but she also had an infant with her and could understand her needing to stay with April.

"You know i'm just fucking with you Eddie." Bethany said to Ed as she listened to Fabian as he started to talk about why they were here really, she didn't like the guy all that much either. But she decided to not say anything either as she crossed her arms over her chest as she looked at Mary and Annie for a moment. Why they were defending themselves against humans, as well as hostile mutants who probably didn't have the same views as Magneto and just thrived on chaos or something like that. But she remained quiet as Fabian started to walk off down the hallway when he stopped and mentioned that Magneto was looking for Flynn.

But once Fabian was out of sight she looked at everyone else as she thought about something she wasn't sure why Magneto wanted to speak with Flynn for which was weird, but she started to think of an idea. "So we try and find them sphere things that brought us here, and try to reprogram them, or try and see if we can get a single out and eject it out into space so that the others can pick us up?" Bethany suggested from what Fabian had said they didn't have anything huge other than the things that brought them all here.

Ed smiled a little brighter at Bethany to show he knew. The guy finally walked off. They did have a bit better idea of what was going on. It at least sounded like it wouldn't be some space tournament at least. Ed had no desire to keep fighting people. He didn't even want to be here. If Magneto's sycophants hated them so much, why come after them? Ed really didn't understand the logic there, and it was bugging him.

"Should warn Guin and the others of what we know now." Ed suggested quietly. He didn't want his voice to carry. If there were cameras, then whoever was monitoring them already knew they had a way to contact outside the Asteroid. But the Fabian guy didn't need to know too.

Ed looked up, examining the ceiling and walls for potential cameras. It would be good to know if they were being watched even if the Fabian guy had seemed surprised that they were awake.

Perry was confused. So they weren't going to punch the guy with the extremely punchable face? Perry was annoyed, but she guessed she understood. "So next time we get to know the clearly evil guy before we punch him. Yeah, that sounds like a good plan." At least Neil seemed to be on her side, given his reactions to her.

So the game plan was to....what? Look around the place they know very little about in the hopes of finding some way to escape? "As good a plan as any. Are we going to make nice with the bad guys here who don't like us and want us dead? The winners of their respective fights? Gonna go out on a limb and say they will probably throw fists first and have tea and scones second. So maybe it is best if we prepare for confrontation, regardless."

She didn't know what fuckface was talking about with Flynn, but it was another reason to punch his smug face. No one talked about Hottie McHotstuff and got away with it. This time around though, Perry inched closer to Neil, "He really did have a punchable face, right?"

Guin Stark

~Fit Check~

"Actually, it's Dr. Chase," Bonnie corrected Max. Ordinarily, she would've been irritated at the suggestion that she stay behind, that it wasn't safe for her. She had been in the field for a long time, long before she ever became the host of Athena. But April was so young, she was loathe to be apart from her. "I can remain here. But you don't need to worry about my safety." She didn't plan to brag or show off her powers. She'd prefer to keep her cards somewhat close to the vest.

It seemed like everything was settled though. "Great, then let's get going - we have no time to lose," Guin pressed. She hadn't heard anything from Mary in a little bit, but she assumed that everything had to be okay. Everything was going to be fine. There was no reason to think that it wouldn't be. Sure, they were potentially dealing with Magneto in space, in their lovely metal ships... But Guin was in denial that anything could be horrible here. Pietro was fine. Everyone was going to be fine. They'd probably even be back in time for dinner. Maybe they'd go out and get ice cream. Gelato, even. Gelato sounded nice.

Neil Spellman

Location: the Asteroid
Skills: N/A
~Fit Check~

Neil didn't trust this. It all felt too fishy to him - like some sort of a telemarketing scam. Things seemed somewhat plausible on the surface, but Neil's gut was telling him it wasn't all as neat as that douche Fabian Cortez was laying it all out to be. It seemed like there shouldn't be an issue with them leaving this place, it seemed. But would Magneto really let them all go? And even if he would, would his zealous acolytes let them just walk out of this place? Sure, some of them hated them, but even then... Maybe they'd rather just hold them as prisoners here.

"Even if we can't reprogram them, I can try to guide them..." Neil offered. His telekinesis wasn't as powerful as like Jean Grey's, but if the other X-Men could get the Blackbird or something up into space, Neil was pretty sure he could telekinetically push a pod over to it. They'd all have to try to cram inside the pods though. His heart broke slightly, as he instinctively wished that Sara could have been there... She would've been able to sync with his powers and make this happen.

"Or maybe even you could, using the Phoenix Force," he suggested to Mary. He nodded as Perry cozied up next to him, mentioning again about Cortez' punchable face. "Yeah, he has terrible vibes," Neil agreed. "I'm still in favor of you punching him."

Humans. Attacking an asteroid. Antoinette imagined it was possible. Humanity had come quite far with their space travel technology, but Antoinette didn’t imagine they would soon be coming after mutants on an asteroid. No, to Antoinette, it seemed the people here had the higher ground.
She watched Fabian walk away, swinging her arms back and forth as she looked around. Sooner or later, they would run into other mutants who knew they were part of the X-Men and attack them. Staying wasn’t a good idea, but they had no solid escape plan, either. However, they did have an opportunity at an inside job.
”I say we stay. Try and figure out the ins and outs of Magneto’s plan. Then we can relay what is happening back home. Destroy the death star from the inside out, if you will,” she said and grinned at Neil. ”That’ll give you a chance to punch more people, Perry,” she added cheerfully, looking at her.

Max shot a glance out of the corner of his eye towards Lance as he began to backpedal with the newcomer and child. A long day was an understatement. It was barely the afternoon and already Max had to have an incredibly difficult conversation with his boyfriend, said goodbye to his child, and got attacked by a notorious villain of the X-men before having several bones broken and left to recover and heal on his own for hours on end while he was panicking and being torn inside from losing Ed once more. But even despite all that, he still found time to bite his tongue and give the others the benefit of the doubt. This felt like it should be some sort of wake up call, like the universe was trying to show him just how different the X-men were from the Mutant Underground. Even so, Max had to try. Even if it was just to get Ed back to safety once more before parting ways, or perhaps this whole episode would allow the others to see just how selfish they’ve been in their endeavors and can finally understand why it was Genosha was made, and why it was the X-men were so hated upon the island.

Max rolled his eyes at Pietro’s whole conversation. Who cared why they took Bonnie’s husband, what mattered was that he was abducted. Besides, most of those in this room shouldn’t have been surprised by this news. Flynn was a prince back in WandaWorld, meaning he either married in or he was the son of Magneto. It made sense, all of it did now more so than back then. In her need to have her family back, Wanda inadvertently brought all of the children of the Mutant Master of Magnetism together under one roof. ”Honestly at this point I don't know who has more children, Erik or Charles.” Jaclyns peering eyes didn’t escape his notice though. It was hard not to notice when someone was staring at you even if you had your back turned towards them. He let the prickly sensation flow off of him, deciding that was a conversation for another time. For now she seemed to be one of the more level headed people on this team, given Carolina just invited a mother onboard to a dangerous space mission where her husband awaited in space, leaving a child potentially orphaned if the mission went awry. It appeared that they were on their way off at least. Bonnie having agreed to stay behind with the child after adding the correction that she was in fact a Doctor. In what? Max had no idea. He never cared for the title seeing as she could have a doctorate in literature and still be called Dr. All it told him was she had the money or resources to allow her to get the title.

”Sorry Dr. Chase won't happen again. Here’s hoping Flynn doesn't recognize me, I don't need anymore embarrassing exploits to happen this day.” Max commented as he began to walk away, his magic swirling around him before the pink specs that peppered his cosmic dust overtook the spell and halted it mid creation. He stopped in his tracks, a soft sigh of exhaustion coming out before he snapped his fingers and his magic corrected itself back to what it should rightfully have been in the first place. Replacing the unfinished bright brink scraps of fabric that barely decorated his body with the now all black attire that clung a little closer to him than his early outfit from the day. He didn’t need his loose fabrics potentially getting in the way in space, but he also had no idea what kind of atmosphere Magneto had managed to create on the asteroid's surface. As Max continued to walk once more he held up one finger but asking something that felt a bi t too obvious. ”Do we have space suits to…you know…survive space?”

The Mansion

"Uh, kind of. If you count more of suits meant to be grabbed in an emergency that basically make it so you won't immediately die if exposed to space. They aren't exactly meant to constantly be walking around wearing them. They essentially can snap on in a pinch to ensure, as stated, that you don't die." Lance commented towards Max. The guy was still a bit odd in his opinion at this point.

Guina, I have a question, who put the fake wizard in charge? Shouldn't we get a vote on this or something? I feel like we should get a vote. Or at least come up with a plan for when Mary isn't here calling the shots. So why are we wanting to trust this guy who just showed up and a lot of problems immediately followed. Since yeah he's asking questions but he very much is trying to act like he's in charge and better then everyone else. Pietro asked her mentally. Personally he didn't like Max, and that's even with ignoring their interactions in the reality Wanda had created. He kind of seemed to think he was the best person in the world and a bit full of himself. Way worse then other people that he's met.

"The Blackbird can get us up there easily, so let's just get going and hope we don't run into any sort of issues. Though based on our usual luck nothing is going to be that easy. We're just sitting here doing nothing, and sounds like we're ready to get going places and all. So we'll see... Anyone whose going should head down towards the hanger and we'll head off."

"Totally will be fun, and I know that my thing is I'm probably going to run if I see Exodus come within eyesight for me cause not exactly excited for that rematch." Pietro added, before walking away a bit from where he was. He still did not feel the best, so while usually he'd likely race off with Guin down to the ship, but at the moment walking seemed like the best option for him.

Miranda sort of hung back a little bit, unsure if she should really go along with the group or not. She had her reasons as to why she'd want to go along with them, actually she likely knew more about where they were going and the full scope of what they might encounter. Though she hadn't been a part of those sort of plans or ideas or anything since Genosha and all, but she did have some ideas on what would they encounter there in general. Though she wasn't going to openly ask about maybe tagging along there, at least at the moment anyway.

Asteroid M

Mary shook her head over the whole really wanting to punch Cortez thing. The guy seemed a bit off, and something about him was not seeming right at all. Considering where they were though, she wasn't entirely surprised that might be the case. Her attention shifted towards everyone else in general since Cortez was gone, and the group was seemingly trying to figure out whether they should stick around longer or immediately try to find a way off the rock before the rest of the group showed up.

"Well now might actually be the time to split up. Since it sounds like we might run into a few different problems. One, we might run into Magneto and basically anyone else in general. Two, we don't know where those pods were, and three, sounds like this place might have a decent security system. And considering we want the rest of the group to maybe get up here, we might want to lower it just enough for the group to potentially get through to this place. In hope that they maybe don't get shot out of the sky."

"If we're trying to maybe potentially reprogram the pods or temporarily shut down some sort of security system we'd need to find access to the main computer system. Especially since that probably could give us access to a map of this place to then find where the pods even are. We could split up into two groups and see how that goes, maybe find it if we're lucky before the others show up and maybe get blasted out of the sky."

"That would make the most sense," she responded, before glancing around at the group, trying to figure out the best ways to assign the two different groups or divide everyone else. The two with more knowledge of magic were pretty easy, those two being Neil and Ed (more Ed then Neil but still), and Perry and Annie both were a little less on the combat side compared to just about everyone else, more so when it came to powers as opposed to actual fighting skills. Flynn, Bethany and Mira all could be kind of heavy hitters when it came to a fight, so they probably should divide them up somewhat.

Mary mentally went through the different people, and figured out the best sort of plan for this situation. Or at least likely the best groups anyway. "Well, since there were two different directions to go out of our initial room, one group will go back and down that way, while the other goes back down this direction. I'll go this way with one of the groups, that one being with Perry, Ed and Flynn, while the rest of you go back and start exploring the other way. Try not to get into too much trouble, since other wise there aren't necessarily ways to get communications across the place. We aren't entirely sure how helpful the usual ways we might teleport or communicate work here, so try not to get into any issues and be careful."

"Well if you hear a really loud shriek you'll know we ran into trouble. Since while this place might be big, it is kind of a big tin can a bit, so that would likely echo a bit throughout the place if I had to guess," Mira commented with a shrug, before looking at Annie, Bethany and Neil. "So let's see about going off places then," she added towards them, before she started walking back the other direction.

Turning towards Ed though, Mary decided to make the comment, "Yeah, I'll see about letting Guin know." Before she reached out mentally to Guin, and once again it sounded like a badly tuned radio, So Guin, sounds like this place might be decently defended, we're going to see if we can shut off something to allow the ship to more easily get through whatever defenses this place may have aside from obviously the people who are here.

Carolina nodded at Bonnie she could understand wanting to stay behind since she had little April in her arms at the moment, and leaving a child orphaned wasn't a good idea either. "We'll be back with Flynn don't worry." Carolina said to Bonnie giving her a smile as she gave April a little boop on the nose. She stared at Max as he changed his magic, from what she remembered back in the House of M reality she thought he was a little bit weird. But she didn't know him all that well back then either as her attention turned towards Miranda, she could be helpful if she chose to come with them.

"If you want to come with us Miranda you can, since you know Magneto best and whatnot but it's if you want to." Carolina said to Miranda as she started to leave the room. Lance managed to answer the question with the space suits to Max, there were some onboard as far as she knew, she did miss the whole trip out into space with the others. Carolina continued to make her way down towards the hangar where the Blackbird was.

Bethany listened to Mary as she started to suggest splitting up and trying to shutdown the defenses and trying to find the pods as well to. Though she didn't really like the idea of splitting up the group, this place was huge after all and they didn't really have anyway to communicate aside from Mary she guessed. "Alright then, lets get going." Bethany said, she was pared with Neil, Annie and Mira, the group seemed to be well enough in her opinion which was a good thing then. "We should probably meet back here or something once we finish what we are doing to." Beth suggested, at least this way they had a way to meet back up if things did go bad.

Bethany followed alongside Mira towards wherever they could try and find someway to get off of here, she imagined that they didn't really have anyway to communicate with the outside world, since Magneto clearly wanted to make this place secret for the time being. Aside from other mutants Bethany was curious what else they had as security for this place and the defenses it all had as well to.

Jaclyn Chreyz

Location: Mansion - Sitting Room.
Skills: Power Mimicry - Active Power: Flight

Well, Max's first attempt at a magical wardrobe change...wasn't adding to his good day, or lack thereof. But he moved on from it so smoothly, Jaclyn -who'd looked away pretty early, half from respect and half from awkwardness- wondered how often such malfunctions occurred with the wizard.

Lance's response about the space suits was a little reassuring and largely not. So they had the means to enter space without trouble, but not to survive there really, if something went wrong. Jaclyn wished she knew of some power for that, but she didn't. Speaking of powers, though, fairy wings were definitely not going to be help in zero-gravity, or a gravity-controlled confined space.

By now she had changed her mind from its earlier course of keeping an eye on both Pietro or Max to question them on how their powers worked before they went off; superspeed was something else Jaclyn didn't feel confident about in space, as far as her own use of it might go. But magic, with its variety, still seemed a good option. Of course with all she observed of it so far, it seemed to have a tricky learning curve. She'd have to be careful, but that was a rule of thumb with powers in general. Plus, as it's been said: "jack of all trades, master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one"; one never knew.

Before she caught up with Max, however, Jaclyn turned a perceptive gaze on Miranda.
Jaclyn was about to speak out of place and invite her along when Carolina made the overture instead. That settled, Jaclyn cast a promising look towards Bonnie -and a little smile at the sweet small one- before falling into step with Max.

"Hey. I was wondering if I could ask you about your magic? I think I'll need something extra for the mission we're headed into,", she explained honestly, a bit of nerves showing in her disposition; this was to be her first mission. "Does your magic count as one thing or different types being called on? Such as 'healing', 'combat', 'necro'..." there she trailed off, shifting her gaze away as well, not sure he -or even she- wanted to get into that. But she had to be informed. If it was a different thing to call on different types, she wanted to find her focus. If it wasn't...she'd cross that bridge once she knew it was there.

Right, splitting up. Because that ALWAYS worked out in movies. Why was it that a group of intelligent people or those with superhuman abilities always wanted to split up when it was obvious to everyone and their mothers that they were stronger together? Well, it was too late now. She was grouped up with Mary, Ed, and Flynn. Though at least she got to ogle Flynn a bit more (a girl can look and not touch after all).

Though, if she were being honest, she kind of liked the ones on the opposite team more. If for no other reason than she got to know Mira and Neil a bit more. "All right, guess we're splitting up. Who needs to listen to horror movie logic anyway? Everyone be careful then and, if all else fails, scream. Mira's got that locked down, but even those without a super voice, screaming is annoying and will drive people up a wall and, hopefully, away from you. Or punch them in the face. People hate that. Especially people with punchable faces like dickhead who just left."

She turned and walked with her group. "So, anyone got juicy stories to share?"

Ed Penior

Location: Asteroid (Group: Mary, Flynn, and Perry)
Skills:

Mary had seemed somewhat reluctant to contact Guin. And Ed thought about the fact that he was the one who suggested it. His stomach tightened. He had seen a version of himself that didn't care about the family laws. That person had made him very uncomfortable. He knew now that something could get him to break those laws. He was lucky that the version here hadn't gotten to that point.

Once Mary sent the message, Ed focused on the problem on hand. He could worry about morality and the laws when he wasn't stuck in space...again.

Ed hoped that they might be alright since Mr. Punchable hadn't been hostile. He did keep the tiny shield he carried for his spell craft in his hand, ready to cast if someone did decide to be hostile. He then started down the path opposite of Bethany, Annie, Mira, and Neil.

When Perry asked for juicy stories, he smiled a bit, "What sort of stories do you mean?"

Great. They essentially had life jackets but made for the vacuum of space. That wasn’t terrifying by any means necessary. Max felt safer already. As they made their way towards the hanger, Max couldn’t help but wonder how space would affect Pietro’s powers. Would the lower gravity make him even faster? Did that mean that Pietro had a chance to accidentally run himself off of the asteroid if he wasn’t careful? Or did Magneto also replicate Earth’s gravitational pull on the surface of the station to help those who would live there adjust more naturally? These and a million other questions swam inside of his mind as he roamed the halls of Xavier’s mansion. He didn’t know if Miranda was going to join them or not, and what's more he wasn’t sure if she should. It wasn’t that he didn’t like her, though he did hardly know her and while she had saved his life in one reality, she also attacked them with powers he’d never seen her use in another. So it was 50/50 on whether she would become an ally or enemy once they landed on her ex’s doorstep. But this wasn’t his group, and even still he was barely wanted by most to come so he kept his mouth shut on that front. They could all make their own opinions of Miranda if and when she joined them.

As they walked, Max slipped a spellbook out from his bag, flipping through the pages until he found what he was looking for. It was a spell he'd used before, back when Wanda took over the world…when she bent reality to her whim. He hadn't tried to repeat the spell since then, but after his 20th birthday…well he began to see why he was much more powerful in Wanda's reality. At first he thought it was by design, as if subconsciously she wanted them to stop her, now he knew what his passing thoughts had known all along. It was a reflection of his true potential, the ability to bend reality. He began to mutter the spell, trying to locate Neil within the universe to send him a whispered message to ensure he was alright, despite how poorly their last encounter had gone.

Max could feel the spell beginning to fizzle midway when a new interruption approached him and the spell gave way as it vanished to cosmic dust. He snapped the book shut with one hand, not out of anger or annoyance, but from being startled. Like a kid instinctively trying to hide something he'd done when a parent walks in unannounced. He slid the book back into his bag, looking at Jaclyn once over as she began to question him about his powers. A smile crept onto him as he tried to find the best way to explain them. "My magic is all one thing. Although I do prefer to categorize my spells in ways that make sense to me, usually using Dungeons and Dragons as a good safe guide for what and how they fit. The basis is…" Max trailed off for a moment, his mind going back to Halloween before deciding it was best to keep the big picture out of it and stick to the small.

"It's boiled down to Conjuration. Creating things out of nothing, or sometimes to make it easier I make things out of something. But not in the way of Transmutation, but if I can see an image or know the makeup of the item then I can attempt to duplicate it. Beats having to think of things on the fly. Half of my clothing is designer brands I created. But that's neither here nor there. Though…if you wanted I could show you. Use something I learned recently called Mutant Magic. I was saving it for Neil and Ed but…if it helps bring them back I'll do anything…Fair warning though, my powers are practically unbridled chaos."

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: SPACE! Again…
Skills:

They were separated into groups to cover more ground; hopefully, that would aid them. Antoinette turned, heading off with Bethany, Neil, Mira, and Arnold. The little tribble continued to sit on her shoulder, unaware of possible danger coming their way. She started to skip as they walked down the hallway. It was a natural thing for her, and she didn’t really notice as she looked around.
”So, does anyone here know how to disable a security system?” Antoinette only really remembered Lance and Guin having proficiency in technology. She supposed she could try reaching out to Guin to get a walk-through, but Antoinette wasn’t sure how reliable her telepathic skills were in that department.

The Mansion

Miranda glanced over at Carolina when she offered to maybe see about going along with them, and she thought about the situation. "...I actually might, it's also probably more I can help you figure out where best to go, since I do know a few things about where you're going," she ended up saying slowly, but a thought crossed her mind, something that she probably should mention, and it was part of what she had been debating on saying before, but right now considering, she kind of felt like she maybe should.

Lance instantly started heading along farther, since he likely was going to be one of the main people operating the ship. Her personally didn't have an opinion on whether or not Miranda joined them or not. She'd helped them out in Wanda's reality. Sure, she was known to hang around with Magneto, but it sounds like they very much were not on the same page about everything currently with that. The powers she had he was pretty sure that they'd be able to fight off in the event that she did end up more or less turning on them, the main thing they'd have to worry about would be her illusions and holograms that could cause some real damage.

Pietro was still not racing around, since he figured save the energy for later, but right now he was still a bit tired. He wasn't too sure about the group that they had with them. Sure, he was fine with half of the group, but then you had Jaclyn a newbie, Max who he honestly didn't really like, and then you had Miranda, who could sometimes be a bit of a wild card. Her morals weren't exactly the best at times, but she typically tried to do the right thing, even if it meant going against his father like she did in the reality that Wanda had created.

She hung back for a moment, waiting for the others to have essentially all left the room, before she turned to look at Bonnie, her voice was a bit shaky as she spoke though, almost like she was unsure of saying anything at all about it to her. "Erik found out a few months back about his existence because I accidentally ended up telling him and for that... I'm sorry... I knew about him because I was the one who gave him up, because I didn't want him to end up in the world and life I was caught up in at the time... And based how things have turned out, I'd definitely say that was probably for the better," she said to her, though she was still keeping her voice somewhat low, before she started following the rest of the group.

Everyone would be able to reach the hanger fairly quickly, and Lance had already climbed up into the Blackbird and started powering up the engines, figuring that once everyone who was going was onboard, they could just take off. They had to find where they were going, and at the moment, he had a few thoughts of where potentially to start looking, but at least the main thing was that it shouldn't be super far from Earth. That wasn't saying a lot though since space was still a pretty big place. Hopefully Guin might be able to use her powers to sense a better place for them to start with it though. "Everyone sit down so we can take off once everyone is here," he said, glancing back towards the ramp as others started getting there.

Asteroid M

"Yeah well here's the thing, splitting up is the only way we can maybe cover enough ground to actually find what we're looking for. If we want the others to maybe get past the security this place has, we need to be able to break through it fast. Especially since there is a chance that the group gets shot out of the sky which is not something we want. Besides horror movies play up that cliche way too much since they usually have it in really obviously bad places with an obvious killer or something on the loose. Here, we're being allowed to wander around, they don't seem too concerned about what we might be able to do while here, which makes this fall into one of two categories. Either they are overly confident and don't think we can stop or mess with whatever their doing, which means the likely hood of them screwing up is a lot higher. Or they are legitimately not really doing anything wrong, which also is always a possibility too. Though it is always best to tread with caution no matter what we do," she commented towards Perry who definitely seemed to be kind of not thrilled with the idea of them splitting up. "...I get the sort of reluctance about it, but in this situation we can't avoid it."

"I mean depends. Though in this situation that does make the most sense," Flynn commented with a shrug as they started walking along, before he looked over at Perry as she asked about stories. "Have to agree with him, like what would you want to hear. Since pretty sure we all could give stories, but each person's would probably be fairly different from the others. For me they likely would be a bit different from them."

"Tell me about it. Though if wanted could at least go into a few that Ed would remember, but I do have a bunch from before he was on the team too... I've got hero ones ranging back 6 or 7 years at this point. Because there are the space adventure, the dealing with time travelers one and the alternate reality one where Wanda decided to change the entire world, plus a whole bunch of sort of others."

"I actually remember those last two, well more of the last one. I ran into you guys at the end of that whole time travel thing so I only know a few of the details on that one. The alternate reality, that is something I can definitely add to since that was a fun experience. But yeah, just sort of is a bit by whose stories do you want to hear and what sort of stories that there might be or something like that, entirely up to you really." Flynn said with a bit of a laugh. In this case you had to be a bit more specific on the sort of things. Cause he was betting that they all had more then a few that would be considered interesting.

Back with the others, Mira couldn't help but glance over at Annie when she asked if anyone else maybe could, and she just sort of waved. "Uh, yeah, me. I can kind of do more then just do a sonic shriek or whatever," she said towards her, a bit annoyed that she'd forgotten about that sort of thing. Actually she'd argue that depending on the system her skills could potentially rival Guin's in that sort of matter. Though for her it did sort of depend, Guin overall was better, but she could do pretty well herself.

"It depends on the system, might take a few minutes to get the full run down on how the system works and operates, but I probably can work with it," she added. Bethany wouldn't really see anyone else aside from them. There was another doorway or sorts farther along from where they were that she'd be able to see, but other then that it seemed to sort of be a bit empty where they were now.

Jaclyn Chreyz

Location: Mansion Hanger - X-Jet
Skills: Power Mimicry - Active Power: Flight

Jaclyn noticed Max's abrupt shutting of the book -the book itself she hadn't noticed in his hands until she'd walked right up and already started speaking to him- but didn't pay it much visible notice. She listened intently to his answer. Dungeons and Dragons in terms of reference material was foreign to her, but she understood the difference between conjuration and transmutation; having a good explanation took some effort off Jaclyn's shoulders.

Her brows went up at the mention of his designer clothing brands, and she couldn't help looking over his attire with a more "taking it in" eye as he continued to speak. It was pretty nice flair. She dialed back into his voice as he brought up "Mutant Magic" -- and a laugh escaped at his "fair warning." It wasn't at him, just, saying that of himself - and it was quite a note to go on from.

Jaclyn was intrigued herself about this Mutant Magic, but the way Max spoke of Neil and Ed...she also wanted to help him help them.

She paused at the base of the ramp to the Blackbird, hearing Lance's direction from inside and knowing they shouldn't delay, but, this felt important....on the other hand, they already had a way to communicate to the group in space, so they didn't require Mutant Magic to locate Ed and Neil; when they got closer, the telepathy would probably be even more reliable. Plus, "unbridled chaos" didn't seem the most prudent thing to dip into when they had to get going - if such a thing ever did belong in the same sentence as "prudent"!

"What could happen?" she asked Max seriously, as she now continued up the ramp; keeping her voice low -as low as it could be while still being heard over the jet's engine- to keep the conversation between them. "Would it be safe to do on the way?" Whether they needed it to locate Ed and Neil or not, Mutant Magic still sounded like something worth experiencing, and if it could be done, potentially beneficial to ahead of arriving at their destination.

She took her seat behind Max but leaned as forward as she could buckled up, her hand on the back of his seat for a stability guard, to hear what he'd have to say.

Carolina Reed

Location: X-Mansion, Seating Area
Skills: N/A

Carolina looked over her shoulder as Miranda stayed behind for a moment to speak to Bonnie, but she wasn't able to hear what they were saying, as she continued to follow behind the others. Carolina slipped her hands into her pockets it didn't take to long until they were at the massive hangar that contained the Blackbird itself. Lance had gone up the ramp to start up the ship while listening to Max and Jacyln talking to one another about Max's powers. And from what she knew Max's powers weren't always the most stable, as she chose to sit behind the pilot and co-pilot seat. Lance could fly the thing, and Guin to maybe since she was really good with tech and whatnot Carolina started to strap herself in.

She looked over her shoulder seeing Miranda was joining them and smiled she was glad that she took her up on the offer, they did need her help after all. She knew Magneto best, and probably every member of the Brotherhood as well to, she wasn't sure how may other mutants were out there, and if they were hostile or not. It was going to be her first time out into space really, so the entire trip would be pretty interesting as well to, she just hoped that Neil and Annie were alright now.

Bethany Bell

Unknown
Skills: N/A

Bethany remained pretty quiet for the most part as she followed alongside Mira, Annie, and Neil she looked over her shoulder at Annie asking about the security system and how to get into it. Luckily she knew that Mira was pretty good with tech and they would probably be able to disable it all for the others to come and rescue them. "We could always just smash the system that could probably disable the system to if Mira isn't able to crack it open." Bethany pointed out.

So far there wasn't anyone hostile which was probably a good thing then, as they started to come up to a door of sorts. "I could try and scout ahead if you guys wanted." Bethany said, she was pretty good with her shadow traveling and it did come in handy as well to and getting the group from one area to the other.
