Antoinette smiled at Mira and nodded. ”Excellent!” She didn’t really think security systems fell under the general branch of working with computers and technology. Perhaps hacking was more general across the board than she assumed. Bethany mentioned button smashing, and Antoinette shook her head. ”I think that would bring more harm. We could accidentally hit something that would lock the entire place down or alert everyone that we are up to no good.”
They continued to walk down the hall. Nothing seemed to present itself as they moved ahead. Antoinette was glad they weren’t coming across any people, but she was worried they weren’t reaching any security place yet. Time was of the essence, and they had an act of losing it.

"Any and all really. I don't know you all well enough to have specifics so I am curious how things were before I joined in. I don't have much to share other than what happened at the mall and that's not really a super interesting one unless you want me to introduce the ghosts I have with me. I guess I could delve into my childhood but that seems more like a conversation with my therapist."

Perry was doing her best to lighten the mood but did not know if it was working. After all, they were stuck on this stupid rock until they could find a way off or the others managed to get here. If what Mary said was true, the team had space adventures in the past, so it was possible.

"One hears stories, you know, about you lot. Obviously, most of it is biased, but it was sort of inspiring to hear about other mutants doing stuff. made it seem like I could be more, you know?

Max could tell that he was losing her with his talk of Dungeons and Dragons. Not everyone read the books like he had, and even less had any care to play. It appeared, however, that at least Jaclyn had understood a portion of what it was that he was saying. He wasn’t Dr. Strange, or Pixie, he didn’t have a natural inclination on how to teach these sorts of things mostly because to him a bulk of this was still new. He did everything on impulse, simply feeling his way around his powers for the most part as he stumbled through the dark. Max was grateful for the few months that Strange was able to spare for him, to help him grow as a practitioner of the Mystic Arts. A ghost of a smile crept up on his face, wondering if he would be able to replicate his lessons in a way that was meaningful to another person lost in the fog of magic. Jaclyn's gaze didn’t escape Max’s sight. He watched as she looked at him more intently while he held back a laugh that bubbled inside of his chest. Though it appeared that she had lost the laughing cold war, as a small laugh escaped her at the tail end of his explanation. ”Laugh now, but it won't be so funny when the hands of fate meddle in my magical affairs.” he said with his words coated in a light chuckle.

They began to approach the jet, the boarding ramp lowered for them all to get on. It was surreal being here right now, not only was he in Xavier’s mansion, but he was also in their hangar about to climb aboard the famous Blackbird. It was as if a small portion of the child that used to admire the heroes he saw on tv was jumping with joy and fanboying on the inside. Max wished he could get to that point again, that he could do something here to find pride in, something Dorian could be proud in. He let out a sigh as he took his seat and Jaclyn sat behind him. It wasn’t directed towards her, more so the question looming over every attempt Max had ever done. What could happen? It was practically begging for something to go wrong when the words were uttered out loud. He thought on it for a moment before flashes of the last year had run through his mind. ”Well…to be honest I’ve only done it twice. The first time was while i was trying to stop an eldritch horror that claimed to be the rightful Sorcerer Supreme. That time we had attempted to follow our coven leader's lead and funnel our magics towards her spell, though I feel she was more so siphoning than directing and I fought against the spell so not much came of it other than garbled memories. The second time… Max remained silent for a moment before continuing forward. ”The second time was against an immortal vampire witch. I lead the charge on that circuit with fourteen other mutants. We became one, a being that existed beyond similar to eldritch ones you read about in horror stories. It was enough to rival the would-be god, but all of us had a bond that we shared and I think that helped.”

Guin Stark

Location: the Mansion -> Blackbird
Skills: N/A
~Fit Check~

Bonnie raised an eyebrow, confused as to what Max meant about her husband recognizing him or not. "...I didn't realize you knew him," she admitted. Max didn't seem like the sort of person for Flynn to know. Maybe they had run into each other back in Flynn's OMEN days. Bonnie didn't pry about those. She let him keep his secrets, just as she kept her own.

"I'd give us all some Stark tech to wear, but, y'know, metal. And state of the art polymers don't come cheap. But I'll move it up on the list of things for me to work on when there isn't anything decent on TV," Guin offered. There was a list on her phone of things that the X-Men could use improvements on that she could probably knock out in a few weeks or so. Better space suits was on there, after all of their space adventures. Most of the problems she had run into though was that her prototypes kept being used and destroyed in battles - so now, she knew a few decent ways to make a space suit that would barely work. And she wanted to find one that was perfect before making enough for a full squad.

What? He's not in charge. I'M in charge! Guin protested to Pietro. We can all take a vote on it right now, but I already know that everyone would vote for me. So there's no point. And no, it's not because I can totally rig it or anything...

"Golden Goose says that they're going to try to sabotage the security systems, to make our approach better," Guin relayed. Hope you look cute in the Stormtrooper outfits. And have a droid on hand, Guin then replied to Mary, hoping most of the message would get through the cosmic static. Guin wasn't a world class telepath like Professor X or Jean Grey, but Mary's Phoenix Force powers did give Mary more of an extended range, allowing Guin to pick her up.

As the group was leaving, and Miranda addressed Bonnie, Bonnie paused for a moment. She then said - softly but powerfully, enough that anyone who bothered to listen would hear - "you don't owe an apology to me. You owe one to him."

When they got to the Blackbird, Guin took the co-pilot's position. One, because she LOVED to fly shit like this - and two, because her telepathy was basically going to be acting as cosmic radar for them. "Let's get into Near Earth Orbit and see if I can pinpoint them better from there, it's super staticky here."

Neil Spellman

"Mm, screaming - that will definitely work with the deaf person," Neil commented, tapping one of his hearing aids. He had actually lost his hearing due to Mira's super sonic scream. He wouldn't be surprised if one shriek from Mira inside the close confines of this space station might force others to join the hard of hearing club. That was one thing that he had been trying to work on - learning ASL. When one of the X-Men's foes was able to control metal, and tons of others could move just about anything with their mind, hearing aids didn't always tend to stay in all of the time.

The groups were divided up - and Neil wished that Perry had been put in the group with Annie, Mira, Bethany, and himself. It would've been his ideal picks. But they went their separate ways and the conversation turned to a really practical question. Did any of them know how to disable a security system? "Umm... I don't have proficiency in thieves tools... I could blow it up, but that could be hit or miss on if it actually makes anything better." Thankfully though, Mira was there. And Mira was a bonafide genius. Neil relaxed slightly. He wasn't going to have to try pressing buttons randomly to make this work.

Ah, stories. Ed considered the ones he had. Many were tragic. He could find the good in some of the situations, but they had sort of failed their last mission. They had gone to space to find Lance's dad. They hadn't.

"It may be that Mary is a better source of stories then. I only have a couple of missions with the group. I think the best one would be when we played Jumanji. That at least has a satisfactory ending." Ed paused realizing that playing Jumanji wasn't as horrifying as it sounded. "And when I say Jumanji. I mean it was live. We almost destroyed the Statue of Liberty."

The Mansion

"I know," was all she said to Bonnie, before she followed along after the others to the Blackbird.

Guy definitely acts like it, also acts like he thinks he's better then everyone else, Pietro added to Guin, I also do vote for you to be the one in charge, that's just me. I hate the idea of being in charge honestly.

Miranda got on board the ship and took a spot in the back, and Lance looked back at everyone who were currently on board, "So, guessing this is everyone?" he asked, essentially counting people real quick, before he had the ramp retract and go up. "To space we go... Again... Though this time a bit closer to home... Last time we kind of didn't exactly have much of a direction, we're doing better already..."

"Well we can maybe try to figure out what we're doing once we get there now, maybe. Since it isn't going to be super quick getting up there, and then finding it."

"It'll be a little while before we get up there yeah," he agreed before there was a very slight jolt as the jet took off into the air. "It'll take us a few minutes to get up there. Then the amount of time it'll take to get us to the asteroid once we for one find it and two get into orbit."

"I mean we know a few of the people we might run into while up there, those who basically beat us are all there, plus my dad, and maybe a few others too at the least. Who knows whose all up there."

"Actually your father has more followers now aside from just the Brotherhood. Even before Genosha there was a group following him around known as the Acolytes, they didn't at least at first do much of anything but repeat to others his words. From what I've heard, after Genosha's fall the group started playing a bit more of an active roll. The Brotherhood members are his more immediate sort of inner circle, while the Acolytes are his other followers."

"Huh, haven't heard about them, but honestly kind of glad I haven't really... I kind of try not keeping track of what new followers he has... Makes things a bit easier for me."

"They mainly follow him around as far as I know..."

"Ok, well so far, we know that the people who we fought are up there, the rest of the team and all of that, Magneto himself, and apparently these Acolytes and all, sounds like loads of fun," Lance said. They were climbing in altitude and almost to space at this point. "Well, we're getting close to being in orbit... Guin if you feel like you might be able to, you can probably at least try to start sort of scanning for them or something..."

Asteroid M

"The long list of stories is kind of fun to think about really. Some of them are better memories then others... Like just to name a few, there's my first encounter with the Brotherhood which ended up with me in a hospital bed for a few months yay for that, first mission I led the team on that ended in failure, the whole people from the future popping up to try and prevent their future from occurring where we first met Flynn here during, the incident where Mesmero decided to turn all of us against each other... I mean the list kind of goes on for a while really... Those are only a few of the options I can think of..." Mary commented with a bit of a shrug towards Perry.

Her attention shifted as Ed commented about the whole Jumanji thing, and that definitely made her laugh a little bit, "Yeah that was also a fun thing... Got to love it when Loki decides to mess with us. Then this last adventure resulted in an alternate reality, but right before that we ended up in space prison temporarily since we popped up in the wrong place at the wrong time for a moment..."

"Alternate realities, definitely fun..." Flynn commented, eventually they'd see what looked like a much larger room, a sort of central area it seemed like on the asteroid. There were hallways just about everywhere, meaning they had a whole lot of potential options of directions to go then initially was apparent. "Well this is a bit more then I expected, considering it was mentioned that there aren't a whole lot of people up here at the moment. Seems like they're expecting a lot more..."

"Well, guess that makes sense, since if it is meant to be like Genosha they probably are planning on having a whole lot of people here... Though this does lead to the question of where to go right now..." she responded, but there once more were footsteps coming from nearby. It was hard to tell exactly where from as the area was kind of empty and the footsteps sort of echoed throughout the area.

"...In my defense on the whole hearing thing, you were trying to kill me or whatever at the time, so it wasn't really anyone's fault with both sides, plus I did say I was sorry for that." Mira said towards Neil with a bit of an eye roll. At least everyone that was with them currently understood and knew how that full situation had played out. So there wasn't any need for any sort of explanation with regards to it at this point now.

Her attention turned towards the others as they were discussing ways to potentially deal with the situation if they weren't able to actually do the simple thing of calmly shutting it down. "...Well if we don't have the time like if someone is after us or something like that then smashing everything in sight might be the only way we can. Though since it seems like we do have the sort of freedom to roam around, we probably will have the time to do things the less violent and destructive way. There is always the chance that we fail that and get locked out of the system, which then would result in us going straight back to the destructive way."

Bethany mentioning the idea of her scouting ahead, she thought about that for the moment, "That might be a good idea... Since we don't want to run into any surprises if we can't avoid it... If you stick to any sort of shadows you might be able to use them to sort of hide using your powers or something..."

Jaclyn Chreyz

Location: X-Jet - Heading into Space
Skills: Power Mimicry

With Max's first response, painted by a chuckle, Jaclyn had that positive feeling about him, again; she liked him -companionably speaking- and in the back of her mind wondered what history it was he had with the others that seemed to colour their impression of him differently.

She missed his sigh over the engine of the jet, and took any pause of answer to be thought on how to give it, or how much he wanted to say. As it turned out, he didn't hold back. The hesitation between his summary of "the first time" and "the second time" gave Jaclyn the impression that maybe he needed to share some of this. Jaclyn's non-verbal response was a flow of interested surprise, awe, and unease, respectively from the reasons Max did this particular magic before, and the breadth of the second time.

Jaclyn had said before she felt she needed something "extra", heading into space, but this felt major; the type of thing that was intimidating to face until it was digested. "Thank you, Max," she meant it, actually bringing her hand down from the backrest of his seat to his shoulder, hoping he wouldn't take this as a brush-off, "that sounds like something maybe for another time. I think I have what I can work with for now." She retracted her hand.

As the jet gave a jolt, other things started to process through Jaclyn's mind. Focused as she'd been on talking to Max on their way here, she hadn't fully taken in where they were and what they were now on their way to: in the hanger, in the X-jet, and now, heading into space!

She had that funny feeling in her stomach you get during take-off, but felt more from butterflies. Lance's statement of "we're doing better already" provided a last fleeting bit of amusement before the full extent of what they were facing began settling in: potentially facing Nekra again, and facing Magneto himself! He had two groups of followers, apparently...her mind shifted to other, present matters. What was between Miranda and Bonnie? It could've been nice to have Guin's redesigned suits. Jaclyn sighed in a settling way; at least they had the link between the others thanks to Guin and Mary, and with word the security system was in the process of being disabled made it feel like, rather than one part of a team performing a rescue mission for the other, they were one working a problem from both sides.

She looked out the window then, and her mix of thoughts and feelings were temporarily overwritten by the spectacle of the changing atmosphere. . .What Holo would think of this... She had to smile, though that smile soon lessened. She had a lot of reasons to be doing this, being an X-man -which didn't feel quite like what she was, yet- but one of them was her sister. She hoped the course they were on was the correct one for Mutant-kind. The intent behind the display on the Mansion grounds -the reason they were up here, now- didn't feel correct; Jaclyn's confidence settled back in a small way with that thought.

Location: SPACE! Again…
Skills: Enhanced Intuition;

Neil and Mira talking brought up old memories that made Antoinette smile despite the context. They had come a long way and been through a lot together. She continued to walk forward with the group, looking around cautiously while Bethany tried to scout ahead in her shadow form. Antoinette hoped she was successful.
Meanwhile, Antoinette’s blue eye started to sparkle as she taped into her enhanced intuition. This place was large, but not that large. She had a feeling they would run into someone soon and was wondering how soon that would be. Her gut feeling wasn’t always spot on, but she was hoping to contribute in some way.

Perry listened as the others spoke up about some of the wild adventures they all went on. Perry remembered seeing something in passing about the Statue of Liberty bit. She was sure she had heard about some other things, but she probably didn't pay much attention to them. Now she felt bad being a part of them. But then, it allowed her to form new memories and go on new adventures.

Thus far, this new adventure kind of sucked. Not being with some of her team, but being trapped on a floating rock in space with a dude with the world's most punchable face. And having people who very much did not like the Xmen with them didn't help. "Well that all sounds like a wild ride. I definitely need to hear about that whole alternate reality dealio. Sounds like a trip. Literally!"

Soon, they heard more footsteps. Again, it seemed they would be met by others on this asteroid. "So what's the plan now? I am ready to punch faces, but I can hold off until we are sure they are friends or foes."

Guins offer seemed more placed in the future than anything else. She wasn’t wrong in knowing that having state of the art anything meant jack when the person they were going to face off with was the Master of Magnetism. It did make him begin to wonder whether or not he should try to make some state of the art polymers for her to use. If money was the issue he had no problem trying to bypass that with his magic. After all, money was worthless in Genosha, and it had made everything much simpler for them in the long run. To say his attention was split at the moment however was an understatement. Lance’s words didn’t offer much encouragement, especially given that r regardless of how many times they’d stated it, it didn’t really feel as though they had any real direction at all. They were essentially in a vast field with a weak antenna looking for the slightest blip of a signal to chase after until it eventually would become strong enough to follow. Hopefully the Blackbird was topped off on fuel from their last foray into space or they may be left out floating on nothing but well wishes. Pietro wished to discuss a game plan mostly out of the time they had before anything real might happen, and Max didn’t fully disagree.

But first he wanted to finish his conversation with Jaclyn, he didn’t want to be rude after all. ”It’s really no problem. Though another time sounds about right for Mutant Circuits. Who knows though, maybe before long you’ll get to see it in action for us to escape the Asteroid or something” he joked, hoping fully they wouldn’t need something like that just to make a clean getaway. The Jet jolted up and Max shot a glance towards the cockpit. Was there really no way to have a smoother ascent? At any route, he needed to focus back on the task at hand, which was figuring out something to do once they landed…if they landed. ”Great so he has more followers, what else is new? Honestly I don't care for fighting our kind, but if I see Sabertooth again…it’s on sight. After all, leaving him around to chase us about wouldn’t really do us much good. So Pietro got any ideas on a plan?” Max asked as he sat back in his chair looking at him pointedly since he was the one to bring up the subject first. No one else had offered anything and Max was still cooking up some ideas of his own. He’d worked with a few of the people here before, and was looking to find a way to best put their powers and skills to use in a new unknown environment. But if what was said earlier was true and Magneto didn’t want Pietro there then chances were he already knew he’d try to come up and take his friends back which meant the location could be a speedster trap.

Location: Blackbird
Skills: N/A

Carolina leaned back as the Blackbird started to take off, she looked out into the window as she listened to everyone talking as she listened in on Max and Jacyln's conversation. She just hoped that the others that are out there where Magneto and his people were would be able to shutdown whatever security measures that the asteroid had. "We should maybe see if we can try and get any information on any plans that Magneto has like any future attacks and things like that while we are up there to." Carolina suggested, she was pretty sure that Magneto probably had plans to attack non mutants somewhere to.

She looked back at Max mentioning Sabertooth and remembered that her sister had gone toe to toe with him a long time ago back during the X-Men's first mission together but it was before her time joining the team to. "Could try working as a team to try and take down Sabertooth if we and when we encounter him up there again." Carolina said.

Bethany Bell

Skills: Shadow Travel

Bethany rolled her eyes slightly at Annie. "I meant like smashing the security system or something not pressing random buttons." Bethany said as she listened to the others talking mostly of what they had experienced when Mesmero tried to pit them against each other when he attacked the mansion. She did get a few nasty electrical burns from Storm that wasn't really a lot of fun either as she looked towards the others when Mira spoke up.

"Sounds good to me then, i'll go ahead and catch up with you guys if I find anything interesting or anything that we can use." Bethany said as she backed up slightly and then melded into the nearby shadows as she shadow traveled herself away from the group. It didn't take to long until she rematerialized back into a lab of sorts. "Interesting." Bethany said to herself as she looked around the room, maybe there was something useful here, or anything that they could potentially use. It looked like there wasn't anyone in the room currently which was a good thing then it seems.

Guin Stark

Location: Blackbird
Skills: Telepathy
~Fit Check~

Guin winced internally as Lance brought up their reason trip into space - admittedly, they didn't have a good track record when it came to finding people in space. The Hulk was still missing. The Avengers hadn't been able to locate him, and neither had they. All they could do at this point was hope that Banner would find his way home one day. Hopefully before long. Lance had finally gotten to a good place with his father, right before Banner disappeared. She thought for a moment about gently peering into Lance's mind, to see how upset he was, but decided against it. She could chat with him later.

"Right, here goes nothing then," Guin said, closing her eyes and placing her hands on either side of her head. It was a stupid cliché that most telepaths did, but Guin found that it did help her to ground herself somewhat. She did at least have some practice when it came to using telepathy as GPS - it was how they had made their way to OMEN's black site way back in the day. The thoughts of everyone else on the Blackbird were noisy and Guin did her best to shove them down, to bury them while boosting the very faint aura of Mary's psychic signature.

"Okay, I've got them - faint but we're still ways off," Guin explained. She then started to relay to Lance which way to go from here. She ignored the other conversations going on in the jet, mostly because it was hard enough for her to keep a hold on Mary's signal as it was. She didn't need to try multitasking on top of telepathically navigating.

Neil Spellman

Location: the Asteroid
Skills: N/A
~Fit Check~

Neil felt a lull in the conversation build on, as Bethany went ahead to scout. He couldn't help but admire the way she could meld into the shadows, becoming something more than human. An aching sensation tugged at the back of his mind, as if he was on the verge of some sort of realization or transformation, before it slipped away. They really had come far as a group. He was not the same person anymore. This was his body, but at the same time, it wasn't. The bones were his - but the skin? the hair? the eyes? They felt like clothes, something that could be put on and removed. Even his name at times felt clunky in his mouth. He didn't always feel like Neil Spellman.

These days, he was starting to feel like he was someone else.

"Did anything interesting happen in space while we were gone?" he asked Annie softly. As much as silence was probably for the best here, he couldn't help it. Silence just meant more space for his thoughts. There was something nagging away at him, something that he wanted to set aside. He had been pouring into D&D lately to do just that, but he couldn't do that now. He didn't have his manuals and notes on him.

Ed Penior

Location: Asteroid (Group: Mary, Flynn, and Perry)
Skills:

"Space prison was a weird one." Ed didn't mention how this reminded him of that. He was thankful that at least the group had wound up together this time. He didn't want to dwell on the bad parts of their trip. The prison at least had been easy enough to break out of. Something he never thought he'd have to do.

Ed smiled a bit at the memories. He was about to turn and start telling Flynn about the alternate world they had gone to. The sounds of footsteps stopped him. He looked in the direction they were coming from. It was possible they'd have to fight whoever it was. It was also possible they'd be a friendly...or at least neutral to them. He wouldn't bank on that here in a place full of Genoshian refugees, who hated the X-men.

He reached into his pocket and touched the shield charm. He really needed to find a better way to deal with that. Maybe a necklace. But he'd have to keep it tucked into his shirt so it would touch his skin.

Heading to Space!

"...Ideas of a plan? Uhhhh... Don't run into Exodus and don't know about you but I'd prefer to probably avoid a lot of people there, but other then that I've got absolutely no freaking idea, I'm better at kind of accomplishing the plans, not necessarily creating them. I was asking more if anyone else had any ideas," Pietro said with a shrug, looking back over at Max. Why would I know what I'm doing again? he then asked Guin mentally.

"Well we need to find the others, which well, is going to be a job on its own considering this place sounds like its a big place. Pietro probably is better for maybe scouting around, but figuring he probably doesn't want to risk running into a few people. Though that begs the question you feel up to potentially racing around without getting light headed now?"

"Totally," Pietro said with a shrug, before pulling out a Twinkie from one of his pockets and munching on it, "Should be fine, of course I can't obviously race around the asteroid with everyone in tow."

"Yeah, well hopefully you won't have to... All I know is after this I really really don't want to go off into space again for a while. That is just my opinion on it considering we were there for a few months and that didn't exactly go super well for us in the long run... But anyway obviously the situation is we have to find where the others are which could take a little while, and the agreement with everything here seems to be that don't really give Sabretooth, or I guess Exodus too, time to really attack. Others might be a more case by case depending... Since we aren't sure how many people are there already so we need to be careful and alert and all."

"Also figuring out what he might get up to eventually sounds like a smart idea considering if it is anything bad we can probably do something to stop him or something like that ahead of time. In theory if he actually isn't doing anything wrong then well there shouldn't be a problem and all. Let me just reiterate, we are going to be in a giant tin can, kind of like when we were in space prison, so no matter what just maybe pay attention to where the outside walls of the place are, don't want to blast holes in anything important..."

Lance was only half paying attention to the conversation, as they started getting closer to their destination. Off in the distance ahead of them (thanks to Guin's guidance and all) they would be able to see the asteroid. Even from the distance they were at, it definitely looked like it was fairly large. "So there is our destination, still a little bit to go, but honestly no offense Guin but that was quicker then expected to find it. But not surprised that it is fairly close to Earth."

Asteroid M

"Yeah, the Kyln is not exactly a prison you want to really end up in. As for the alternate reality, it was very very similar to this one. Though it just sort of goes to show how one sort of event can potentially change the trajectory of everything. For instance in that reality turns out I was dead," she said to Perry with regards to that whole situation. Figuring that at least would give some sort of explanation as to how that whole thing went.

Then came the situation with the footsteps, which were getting closer to them, and now they were able to hear voices accompanying the voices, but it wasn't possible to really make out what was being said. "Wait to see what happens, if we're lucky they'll walk past and there won't be any issues."

"From what I know the odds of there not being any issues is kind of small around here."

"Yeah well one can hope."

A small group of what looked like 5 people walked into the area. The group seemed to be all in their late teens, looking to be only a little younger then Perry was. They stopped in their tracks though when they saw the group of four standing there, and a girl among them rolled her eyes a bit. "What the hell are you doing here? Would have guessed you lot would have been banned from here all things considering," she said towards them, and the others with her all were nodding in agreement with that statement.

"I'm actually wondering what all happened with your space adventures too," Mira added in agreement with Neil's question, nodding her head a bit. Though her attention turned towards the direction that Bethany had gone, and another thought crossed her mind. Namely that she was wondering if they should start heading the direction after her considering. However there were a few other doors in the area they could maybe look through while waiting for Bethany to return.

Mira started walking along, heading towards one of the other doors she spotted a little farther along, "We might want to either check another area or try and catch up with Bethany. I don't hear any commotion so I don't think she's ran into any sort of issues..."

Meanwhile with Bethany, she didn't seem to be running into anyone bad or something like that. No one seemed to be bothering her or entering the room. Over along the wall, Bethany will see a computer that someone was dumb enough to leave logged in. If she looks through things, she'll see what looks to be files on several members of the Brotherhood/Acolytes who were currently on board the station. They seemed to be almost like personnel files sort of things in the computer, but if she flipped through them she might get a better idea of the more heavy hitters they might run into while on the asteroid.

Carolina Reed

Location: Blackbird
Skills: N/A

Carolina looked out at the window and could see the asteroid in the distance thanks to Guin's telepathy with Mary and Lance's flying as well to. They would be able to go up there and rescue their friends and take them all back home but part of her felt something was a little bit to fishy. It was just a little bit to easy as Carolina looked at everyone else in the Blackbird she wasn't sure how far the security measures on the station could reach.

[color=cyan["We should maybe power down the Blackbird, we aren't sure how far they can track incoming spacecrafts or other things in space at least until we have confirmation that the security is shut down from the others trapped on the asteroid."[/color] Carolina suggested, she really didn't like the idea of being shot down and drifting aimlessly through space.

Bethany Bell

Unknown
Skills: Shadow Travel

Bethany's eyes wondered over towards the computer and made her way over towards it and started to look at the screen until she found a folder that said personnel and opened it up. There was a list of just about everyone that was on the asteroid currently, she already knew Juggernaut, Sabretooth, Exodus, Frenzy, and Nekra. Having fought each of them in the past with the rest of the X-Men team, however her eyes wondered over to the powerhouses here to the names that she didn't recognize.

There was someone named Marco Delgato who had super strength and could change his size as well to, then there was someone named Fatale who had a similar power to Lance, but could regenerate, and someone by the name of Chrome who had transmutation powers by the looks of it. That was all that she could gleam on the files it wasn't what they were looking for actually but it was something that they could use as well to.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: SPACE! Again…
Skills:

Nothing was coming to Antoinette by way of danger or people up ahead, which she wasn’t sure was good or not. However, she was temporarily distracted when Neil spoke quietly to her. She grinned at him a bit, her eyes sparkling, and her fingers tingled momentarily. She petted Arnold as she thought about how to organize her thoughts into the best storytelling for Neil and Mira.
”Well, this trip is a lot more enjoyable so far, all things considered. That one started off casually. We were looking for Lance’s dad when the radar started to go all weird. As we neared the location, we were surrounded by several ships and arrested. We got sent to this space prison, which was quite fascinating, really. I’ve never seen so many different types of species. They kept us in a large cell with a few other people. There was this really kind racoon who could talk. He was funny. He kept wanting other people’s limbs. Anyways, he and his friends helped us all escape. Truthfully, I don’t know if that prison is still there. We created quite the explosion. Oh! And I developed my new pyrotechnic power and got to really use it there. I will admit I am still slightly intimidated by it, but Guin has been helping me. Did she tell you she ran into alternate me? She didn’t go into a lot of details, but she always gets this look in her eyes when I ask… I’ve stopped asking.”
Antoinette stared at the floor as they walked; memories flashed in her head of the prison and how she froze. Gunfire in enclosed spaces was never a good thing for her. She had barely recovered before they were sucked into that alternate reality. It was probably the second most terrifying moment in her life. Once they were back at the mansion, Antoinette started training right away. She didn't want to be vulnerable anymore or a liability to her friends. She cleared her throat, fixed her hair and looked dreamily at Mira — Antoinette's normal state.
"We could search the other rooms. I'm certain Bethany will find us."

Ed Penior

Location: Asteroid (Group: Mary, Flynn, and Perry)
Skills:

"And yet we are here." Ed says, a bit annoyed. They had been brought here against their will. He could sort of understand the general dislike of the X-Men. It was one of the factors he had considered before joining. However, he didn't understand why everyone had a hate on about their response to Genosha. They literally were in space when that happened. And it wasn't like Magneto and the others had sent them an invite.

Ed has a lot he wants to say. But he pushes it away. Considering the options of just bubbling everyone and sending them away. Ed isn't usually a punch people type of person, maybe it is the eye roll that brings it out the desire.

Jaclyn Chreyz

Location: X-Jet - Space: nearing Asteroid M
Skills: Power Mimicry

"We definitely should try to maintain tight teamwork, rather than have them take us in separate face-offs again," Jaclyn chimed in as a response to sort of both Carolina and Lance. "Though I imagine that kind of fighting is over with, that only means they could also gang up on us." Chalk another mark for 'thoughts that were unsettling to think about', the first being that Magneto could be planning to do something more than simply staging fights with mutants across the world as a selection process for Genosha II.

Not to mention Pietro's comment about keeping an eye on the walls. Not blowing holes in them were one thing, but there was also the matter that Magneto could just decide to make a hole where ever he wanted, assuming a few things.

"Is there a powerset we're missing that might be particularly useful to have? To compliment even one other, or fill in some other gap?" From her conversation with Max, Jaclyn already did have an idea of a power to manifest. But if there was another that might be more useful that she could tap into, Jaclyn wasn't one to think she had the best idea that could be come up with.

And then there it was - still in the distance but now within sight. Jaclyn felt a mix of impressed and intimidated. It was something that it had been made at all. The idea behind it....not safe on Earth so just get out. It was a hard truth to hold. Mutants driven away this far....Why? Why ever? And now they, one half of the team, essentially would be infiltrating this far-off refuge. Besides self preservation, Jaclyn felt like she wanted to leave the place largely intact if that's what it was. Having no-holds-barred battles as a "ticket to paradise" was still an odd piece to fit into that, and false representation or ulterior motives weren't things exclusive to non-mutants.

These thoughts, this circumstance was tricky. Jaclyn was a problem-solver. Tricky situations weren't something she avoided -honestly she couldn't if she did try- but you needed a clear problem to go about solving it. This. This was more like an array of puzzle pieces without a full picture to fit them into, if they even all connected to the same one.

Carolina's suggestion of shutting down the jet added to the trickiness: "Can we not cloak from detection but stay on, otherwise?" Jaclyn asked, not critically but uncertain. "What if we have to maneuver away from something before it's shut down? The security I mean."

Fit Of The Day

Perry acknowledged Mary's hesitancy, but she folded her arms. It was surely a guarantee that whoever the footsteps belonged to was not their friend. It was probably some group who wished them ill will. After all, the whole point of them being on this rock in the first place was because they were the best and the dude with the punchable face told them that people here didn't like the X-men.

But she waited, ready to dish out justice at a moment's notice. She could feel the tension of the group. "Hey, maybe it's our ticket out of here. Like a group of people will see us and usher us to some transport so we can go back home? Wouldn't that be totally on brand for us to have it easy and not get into multiple fights?" Yeah, Perry didn't believe her own words either.

Carolina was the first to speak up, though Max wasn’t quite sure how he felt about either of her plans. One was to just gather more intel while aboard the Asteroid, a fine idea except they were the byproduct of the losing matches and were more than certainly not to be welcomed in with open arms when they landed. He doubted their colleagues would want to dally any longer on the base than was absolutely necessary for them just to escape. Every second spent there looking for future attacks was just a second given to the other side to capture them or take them down. No, that couldn’t be an option. Her second comment caught him a bit off guard. It wasn’t that he didn’t like working as a team; hell one of his powers relied on it. It was more of the fact that it was needing to be offered. He recalled his time back in WandaWorld, how broken and disjointed all their efforts were in restoring back the world to its rightful place. Constant infighting and bias got in between each and every one of them, and Max had hoped it wouldn’t carry into this fight. He fought back the urge to let out a depressive sigh, turning his attention instead towards Guin as she mentioned she got a lock back on their favorite cosmic chicken.

Pietro offered absolutely nothing to the idea of plans, it figured. The man asking for one didn’t even know where to begin himself. ”Right, so here’s a plan then, since we’ve been dancing around it ever since Pietro brought it up. We can have him race about the compound, searching for both those we are here to rescue as well as potentially a main control room that may have the plans we are looking for. Once there he can either try and infiltrate it himself to grab the data as he is literally faster than we all are both at reading and typing, or he can take Carolina or Guin with him after finding it so that either of them can hack into it and take what data we need before we leave. Personally I’d prefer to keep Guin with the extraction team. Carolina seems to be knowledgeable on tech so she could do the roll well while Guin helps us find the group using her link to Mary. If we can get in sight of the Space station then I can either attempt to portal us in or…teleport us in. I won't lie I haven’t teleported a group this big in a while, it also tends to leave people a bit fatigued the longer the distance I go. Needless to say, I'd rather open a portal from here to there.”

Max paused for a moment, thinking. They’d mentioned the suits they had would work just enough not to let them die, but they needed more than a life preserver of a suit. He sat there for a moment, quiet as he tried to concentrate on what he was doing. Speckled flecks of magic swirling around his hands before it all fizzled out into nothing. He groaned in annoyance as now wasn’t the time for a spell failure. So he tried again, focusing harder as he grabbed onto the spell energy and began to weave it until it swirled around each and every one of those in attendance on the blackbird, their helmets now set beside them where they sat. Everyone was sporting similar space suits to what Earth’s Astronauts wore, save for Lance who’s neck connector Max had mystically reinforced to help prevent any unsavory decapitations that awaited in his future. ”These suits should help us to survive the climate of space, in the event of a hull breach or misadventure. There’s a comm system built into each one inside the helmet so we can keep in touch while we explore or if we get separated. Jaclyn, would you be able to manifest some sort of shielding? I’m not sure if anyone on the current team has it covered, but a way to keep the others at bay while we make our escape could prove useful in the long run. Aside from that…I can’t exactly think of anything else that would be needed, but then again it's my first time in space so…don't really know what we need.”
