Callsign: "D.J." but formerly "Record" of the UEC military.
Age: Refuses to reveal but appears to be Late 20's.
Gender: Male

Personality: Jake actually has two parts of a personality. When in a casual environment, he can be social for one who's living was military and piloting AUG's. His love for music shows too since he's never without some form of a headset. While for comms, he also uses it for listening to music when the free time presents itself. Likeable a social when needed, he gets along easily if you give him the time.
The other part, though, is when he's on duty, work or just plain combat. He's the definition of "slacker to soldier" in a heartbeat. When it's time to take something seriously, he does. He voice sounding more serious than friendly and his body language changing to that of a trained soldier rather than relaxed. There's a time and place for everything to Jake. His personality included.
Skills:Recon - Stealth. Perceptive. Information Gathering. General combat. Jake was train for more sensitive work rather than an all-out fight. For him, intelligence data is everything when it comes to mission success.
Mechanic - Jake also knows his way around AUG's in general. Give him some blueprints and other information on said AUG and he'll help repair or perform maintenance. This was one of his earliest jobs with EINHERJAR.
Field Medic - While not the best pilot, Jake made up for it from his mother side at being a field medic. Be it physical or even "mental" wounds, Jake has both good medical practices and good "bedside" manners to help heal anyone to the best of his ability.
Brief History: Before he went by the simple name "Jake" and callsign "D.J.", Jackson Armstrong aka "Record" came from a long line of a military family. Many who had served some time within the UEC.
At the time, Jake's father was a proud ACE AUG pilot while his mother was a field medic. Both having a solid career and even the trust of many soldiers who happened to have the good fortune of either serving under them or being treated by them. Jackson, though trained early for such a lifestyle, struggled to meet up to such expectations.
But that's when those higher ups noted a talent for Jackson Armstrong. His ability to use stealth, understand information quickly and even pick up and operate medical equipment allowed Jackson to have a place within the UEC. They had plenty of pilots so they decided to see if he could live up to another form of work.
Thus he was given a position within the military has a "black ops" operative.
Despite the dangers such a position brought and even some concern from his parents, Jackson did so with pride. Usually going behind enemy lines as a "civilian", he merely did the basic things. Sometimes, simply watching normal television and reporting on how other nations, colonies or politicians thought about the UEC through news outlets in general gave them a rough idea on how to approach certain situations. At least, that's how Jackson saw it.
But that changed one day when Jackson started hearing rumors from one colony he was stationed to. Something about a possible uprising...and a name he heard: Anthen Nilsk. Soon, media outlets were saying how quickly he was gaining political favor from the outer colonies. But Jackson woundered if he was the reason why there were so much corruptions from different sources like from several corporations.
Then came the terror attacks. One of which Jackson nearly avoided when he was simply going around a shopping mall of all places when a bomb had gone off. Thankfully, he didn't push his luck and quickly evac'ed out of there.
Reporting his concerns about this, his superior had told him that they were looking into it. Though to Jackson, it didn't really feel that way...either that or they weren't taking it seriously enough. Not even he could tell from his end but he saw all the warning signs. The UEC was losing it's grip on the Outer Colonies.
Then came Lemnos...led by now Prime Minister Anthen Nilsk.
Jackson then started getting some more dangerous assignments. One being to investigate Lemnos. Given new identities to work with to keep moving about undetected, Jackson began his mission. During of which, he hit on something big. There was possibly "illegal experimentation" being conducted on breeding "Espers" going on. Jackson heard of the so called "mind readers" but considered it a rumor without evidence. Regardless, if such a thing was taking place, it needed to be shut down. Or at least, find evidence of it's existance and report it's location.
Eventually, one lead led him to Bifrost...and that was the moment his eyes were opened on what "war" does. He had tracked down a scientist who was supposedly managing "test pilots" to assist the LTS war efforts. Jackson had tracked him to an underground bunker with other civilians hiding from the sheer chaos of the fighting.
And during all that chaos...the scientist came clean...before said bunker was hit hard enough that part of a roof cave in and, perhaps in a moment of irony, crushed the scientist only.
And that's when he remembered something his uncle once told him when he was much younder.
"Jackson...don't worry about our family name...miliary life isn't for everyone...for one, when war happens...well...let's just say it brings out the worst in people."
And after the battles in Bifrost were over, he saw it first hand. Although painful, he turned his back on the UEC and stopped contacting his superior. He didn't want to but after everything the scientist told him, he couldn't even tell WHO to trust anymore.
He then joined up with the locals on Bifrost with recovery and that's when he tracked down one of those "test pilots" from the lab he was tracking.
One thing led to another and Jackson even dropped his full name. No longer worthy of it, he now goes by the simple name "Jake" callsign "D.J.".
Because he also learned something else...in war, the very first casualty...was "truth".
And now for Jake, he was going to find that truth.
