Haven't forgotten about this :) character still in the works
"Don't call me Antgirl."
Real Name: Mia Thompson
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Alias/Nicknames: Black Viper
Color Choice: Green (I think black would be too hard to see in writing)
Appearance: Mia is a lithe and agile young woman, graced with light-brown eyes and standing at a height of 5'6". Her physique boasts a lean and athletic build that mirrors her dedication to heroics. Ebony hair, typically kept in a tidy bun, adds a touch of elegance to her appearance. In her day-to-day life, she opts for casual attire, favouring comfortable choices like jeans and tank tops. Mia is also careful to conceal the two antennae-like protrusions on her head, reserving their unique features for her superhero persona.
Personality: Mia is renowned for her spunky, free-spirited, and adventurous nature, always ready for the next thrilling challenge. Her outgoing and quick-witted personality makes her a lively presence at the Avengers Academy. Motivated by a deep desire to harness her unique powers for the greater good and contribute to a safer world, Mia approaches her studies with unwavering confidence and resourcefulness. She thrives in high-pressure scenarios and is ever-eager to extend a helping hand to her fellow students, embodying the spirit of a true hero in the making.
History: Mia's journey began as a diligent student at a prestigious research university, where secret experiments involving the genetic alteration of various insects unfolded behind tightly sealed doors. Inquisitive by nature, she often explored the university's labyrinthine facilities, seeking out hidden mysteries. One fateful day, her curiosity led her down an unexpected path as she stumbled upon the wrong room. In a twist of fate, she was bitten by an experimental ant, an event that would forever change her life.
The ant's bite bestowed upon Mia an array of unique abilities, a fascinating blend of powers that bore both similarities and distinctions from the conventional Spider-Man abilities. As her newfound gifts began to manifest, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery, exploring the limits of her enhanced agility, wall-crawling prowess, and remarkable capacity to communicate with and command ants. These extraordinary talents set her apart, and she found herself teetering on the precipice of a destiny far grander than she could have ever imagined.
Mia's transformation was not without its challenges, however. The exhilarating thrill of wall-crawling and the rush of commanding her arthropod allies came hand in hand with newfound responsibilities. She realized the potential of her abilities to make a meaningful impact on the world, and with that realization came an unwavering determination to harness her powers for the greater good. Inspired by her parents, who had instilled in her the values of compassion and altruism, Mia resolved to follow the path of a hero.
Powerset:
Ant Physiology: Mia possesses the physical traits and abilities of an ant. This includes enhanced strength relative to her size, allowing her to lift and carry objects many times her weight. She can also crawl on walls and ceilings with ease, much like an ant.
Antenna Sense: Mia has heightened sensory perception through her concealed antennae-like protrusions. She can detect vibrations, sounds, and even faint scents in her vicinity, making her extremely alert and able to navigate through challenging situations with ease. She can also use her antennae to communicate and command ants, albeit not always with success.
Acidic Sting: Mia can release a corrosive, acidic substance from her fingertips. She can use this ability defensively to create barriers or offensively to incapacitate foes. Her acidic sting can also dissolve materials and restrain adversaries.
Equipment/Paraphernalia:
Acid Projectors: Mia wears specially designed acid projectors on her wrists that allow her to release and manipulate her corrosive acid with precision. She uses them for both offensive and defensive purposes during training exercises.
Utility Belt: Her belt contains additional acid cartridges, communication devices, and tools for maintaining her acid projectors.
Weaknesses:
Limited Offensive Abilities: While her acidic sting is a potent weapon, it requires precise aim, and its effectiveness can be diminished by adversaries with protective gear.
Vulnerable to Certain Chemicals: Mia's corrosive acid can be neutralized or blocked by certain chemicals or materials.
Inexperience: Mia is still a relatively new student at the Avengers Academy, and her inexperience can lead to misjudgments and overconfidence during training simulations.
Antennae Sensory Overload: Mia's antennae allow her to detect minute vibrations and sounds in her surroundings, providing her with an acute awareness of her environment. However, in situations with exceptionally high levels of noise or intense vibrations, her antennae can become overwhelmed. This sensory overload can disorient her, making it challenging to focus or maintain her concentration. In combat scenarios where explosions or loud noises are prevalent, she may struggle to effectively use her heightened senses, leaving her vulnerable to surprise attacks or distractions.
Training Scenario/Testing Post:
In the heart of Avengers Academy's state-of-the-art training facility, Mia found herself immersed in a rigorous combat training scenario. The sun hung high in the sky, casting long shadows across the simulated battlefield. Her instructor, James 'Rhodey' Rhodes, had devised a challenging exercise to push her limits. Paired with another fellow student known for his telekinetic abilities, Mia's mission was to navigate a densely wooded area filled with obstacles and holographic adversaries. Their objective: to secure a hidden 'target' deep within the woods while thwarting the advances of their simulated enemies.
Using her wall-crawling skills, Mia quickly scaled the towering trees with ease, granting her a bird's-eye view of the battlefield. The forest's dense undergrowth posed no challenge to her enhanced agility as she gracefully moved through the terrain. The subtle vibrations sensed through her antennae also allowed her to detect approaching threats before they came into view, so the girl was not too concerned. Together with the other's telekinetic prowess, securing their objective should not be difficult at all.
As they ventured deeper into the forest, however, the training exercise intensified.
Simulated explosions and gunfire filled the air, creating a cacophony of sound that tested Mia's heightened sensory perception. Her antennae senses, finely tuned to detect vibrations, began to pick up multiple sources of movementâboth real and simulated. The frenetic pace of vibrations threatened to overwhelm her, making it increasingly challenging to distinguish between friend and foe. It was a moment of vulnerability, a weakness that Mia knew she needed to overcome at some point to be an effective hero.
Mia couldn't help but feel a pang of annoyance as Rhodey's voice crackled through her earpiece then, his advice echoing through her mind. "Trust your instincts," he'd said, and while she knew he meant well, it wasn't as if she hadn't been trying. Rolling her eyes would have been a waste of precious seconds, though, so she took a deep breath instead. She needed to push past the frustration and focus. She knew that if it were easy to handle her antennae senses in the midst of chaos, she would have mastered it long ago.
As she briefly closed her eyes, Mia allowed herself a moment to recalibrate her heightened senses. She knew she couldn't afford to let the sensory overload continue to disorient her. With newfound determination coursing through her veins, she deliberately tuned out the deafening noise and honed in on the unique patterns of vibrations surrounding her. Slowly but surely, she began to regain her footing, finding her rhythm once more. She and her companion, now working seamlessly together, navigated the battlefield with precision, quickly completing the objective given to them.đ Bruce Banner (Professor Hulk; Headmaster) đ
Mia greatly admires Professor Hulk. She respects his intelligence and dedication to training the next generation of heroes at the Academy. Bruce's guidance and wisdom have also left a profound impact on Mia, and she looks up to him as a mentor.
đ Virginia 'Pepper' Potts (Rescue; Vice Headmaster) đ
Mia has a neutral relationship with Virginia 'Pepper' Potts. While she acknowledges Pepper's role in running the Academy, they haven't had many interactions beyond administrative matters.
đ James 'Rhodey' Rhodes (War Machine; Battle Tactics Teacher) đ
Mia greatly respects James 'Rhodey' Rhodes for the advice he often gives her when it comes to her abilities and accounting for her weaknesses on the battlefield. Mia often seeks advice from Rhodey on improving her combat skills, as well, although she does get a little annoyed from time to time whenever she feels too coddled by him- and in general.
đ Vance Astrovik (Justice; Hero Studies Teacher) đ
Mia has a neutral relationship with Vance Astrovik. While she appreciates his role in teaching heroism, they haven't had many personal interactions.
đJames 'Logan' Howlett (Wolverine; History Teacher) đ
Mia has a neutral relationship with Wolverine. She respects his vast knowledge and experience but hasn't had many in-depth conversations with him.
đ Greer Nelson (Tigra; Tracking/Investigation Teacher) đ
Mia has a good working relationship with Greer Nelson. She appreciates Greer's guidance in honing her investigative skills and often seeks her advice on tracking techniques, especially with the use of her ants.
đ Wade Wilson (Deadpool) đ
Mia has a tense relationship with Wade Wilson. While his unconventional methods can be amusing at times, Mia finds him unpredictable and their interactions tend to be a mix of amusement and frustration.
đ Peter Parker (Spider-Man)đ
Mia has a friendly and supportive relationship with Peter Parker. She met Peter during a chance encounter in New York City while she was still coming to terms with her new abilities. Peter offered his guidance and shared his experiences as a young hero trying to balance life as a student and a crime fighter himself. He encouraged Mia to embrace her newfound powers and use them responsibly :).
My favourite hero is Spider Man sooooo you know I had to have her had a good relationship with him xD (even if he's not necessarily a part of this).

I like it! There's only one thing I need edited prior to fully accepting this sheet; at the start of the RP, this will be the first time Avengers Academy is opening its doors, and thus, the first time anyone will be there. As such, Mia shouldn't have any prior experiences in the Academy yet. This also probably extends to most of her relationships (barring Peter ofc lol)

I am sorry that it seems I may have copied you being with the color red and a motorcycle, but I was just late to posting my profile, @mintz @memekingdave @akayaofthemoon @alphathepaladin and I have been working on our character concepts for a few weeks before it was posted on RolePlayerGuild and it seems that great minds think alike.
Hopefully all it means is that we'll have a really cool biker gang at the Academy âĄ
(a side note after reading your profile too, modern street bikes can go up to speeds of 185 miles per hour and most cop cars can almost reach 200 mph, so you may want your hover bike to beat the fastest police cars if you're a real renegade :3)
On that note, how's everyone doin' here? I've been eagerly awaiting more completed profiles as we approach the time for me to properly launch this RP!
For a heads-up, I'm planning to, at the very latest, launch the RP by the end of October; this means everyone here has roughly 2 weeks to work out their sheets and get then RP-ready! And if we can get them all done sooner, then I can see about kicking things off earlier as well, so hopefully that makes for some exciting incentive! Looking forward to seeing everyone's work soon :)

I love my sister more than anyone. She is the one person who has always understood me and the one I know who will always be there. I know Iâm the older one, I should be better and be the one to protect her but she has always been the stronger of the two of us. Iâm too much of a bleeding heart, the one viewing the positivity in the bleak hopelessness. Iâm not sure Iâm that way anymore. Iâm still trying to figure myself out and I think she is doing the same. I donât know what the future holds but I know one thing, we will face it. Together.
She is a brat and if I could do away with her l would. Itâs flattering to be admired to the point of being hunted which is the only reason I donât loathe her with every fiber of my being but she is still waiting to stab me in the backâŚliterally. We can play civil for now but we both know that we are ready to strike at any moment.
I know what itâs like to uncontrollably transform and while I might do horrific acts, at least Iâm a little out of it so I donât have to remember every detail. He has to deal with people he knows and even doesnât know being afraidâŚhow lonely that must feel. I have so much respect for his emotional strength with the powers that he has been given. I couldnât imagine what it must be like to have your loved ones or anyone you care for be afraid of you. That is at least one thing we donât have in common which I am personally grateful for. I would consider him my friend and if he needs my help, I have his back.
Honestly, Iâm not sure what I should sayâŚI mean, yeah, we run in the same group but itâs not like itâs safe to get close. Iâm not sure what it could end up doingâŚyou know the whole radioactive spider-ish bullshit I have going on near radioactive girl...eeehhh, Iâve got enough problems, donât want to accidently add more. I donât mind being on a âteamâ with her and she is pleasant enough. I wouldnât call us buddies but we donât hate or dislike each other so I call it a win.
I donât want to talk about him right now. Maybe after some time has passed. I understand the situation and itâs not his fault butâŚ.
