Your room can be pretty much crafted to suit your needs. The owner is benefactor, as I understand it. That makes the question of "which is worst" a bit of a strange one to answer. At least, without the GM.

Gotcha, in that case I will conceive of a room perfectly suited for a Shoggoth.

Now I'm hoping Shoggoth's 'disguise' is so convincing that Max finds him, the only actual human, the most terrifying 'monster' in the complex.

Quick question. What would be considered the worst rooms in the whole complex? I'm talking cheapest in the house, dingy, no windows, underground, next to noisy or unpleasant utilities, etc. It would make sense for the Shoggoth and his 'pet' to be there.

The boom-boom room is typically the one next to the elevator or that noisy ice machine, ventilation system, etcetera. But as each room is essentially in its own dimension or bubble-universe and is tailored to its occupant, as I understand it, there really shouldn't be any bad rooms - unless we're waiting for the manager to come back to fix your room. Basically you're an emergency case who may have only been hurriedly vetted, found at a monster residence elsewhere and brought here by mistake. So your room is one belonging to a former occupant.

And there's a danger room for one-on-one fighting and those needing containment.

Perhaps someone who liked a bit of noise and other uncomfortable surroundings.

That will depend on certain aspects of Max's personality once he sees who he's dealing with, I think.

Personal opinion alert: I'd actually kind of prefer that particular factor of the barrier not being a thing. It turns off some fun character interactions with Iris and the moon, and Velvet and the sun (I think they're the only two with specific outside environmental restrictions?).

Agree. We already made kink jokes about Iris's little dungeon roon in her apartment! We can't back on that now! It's canon!

Well, given they live in a place where they don't have to worry about it, awareness of the moon cycle could slip on instances where they leave the campus.

Maybe they stay at a Karaoke too long and have to deal with daylight while getting Velvet home?

Which reminds me, where in the world is Carmen San Diego are we?

Well, it's not like a few minutes of exposure will kill her as long as she hasn't been starving herself. It works better if she kinda has to deal with the hassle on a regular basis instead of specific moments like this, at least that's how I figure it.

Iris wakes up in the workout room after a long night of full moon transformation to find her clothes in the locker missing again. "Goddamnit! Leave my shit alone or I'll leave this door open one of these nights and just tear this place apart!"

Max having to bring up a food delivery and knocks at her door. Not hearing anything, let's himself in, only to find her chained up and asking for him to bring over the chicken...

Poor Max is so hopelessly unprepared for the havoc these residents will wreak on his mental health.
