I think the thing I'm most confused by is how Max and Suzy are both able to stop Iris/get Velvet out, when she took the lunge before Miyuki even left. EDIT: I'm just going to wait for everyone to weigh in on it so we can get it consistent. Velvet probably gets at least a bit injured.
Iris had lunged but it was indicated that she hadn't actually struck yet.
Before one could blink, Iris was upon the vampire, her claws primed to swipe and mouth open in a wild smile.
Max was already in the hallways so it can be presumed that he was mid-scene and could stop the lunge. Suzy can float through things so you can theorize she'd be able to travel/get to the scene pretty fast, but she could at least stop Velvet from turning into vampire a la carte since the werewolf was still poised to strike.
Also, I presumed this was all on the same floor as mentioned prior--especially since Yuki "quickly ran" to the lobby desk for help.
We can say Miyuki left as soon as Iris started to transform? The feeling I get from her was, "oh, a fight. I'm outta here." So, first sign of a fight would be transforming.
Going off of how Bunny wrote, she went with the Team Max timeline.

If you want some blood drawn, I can modify my post a bit to have Iris strike before the steak hits?

I think this is where my confusion is centered. I read the bit underneath it, "If it wasnβt obvious by the laughing growls and barks she let out while attacking, she was having the time of her life," as Iris connecting with a good solid hit or two. And it doesn't quite ring true for me that if Miyuki left post-Iris transformation as seems to be written, she'd get to reception in time for Suzy to get there before Velvet took a hit.

I really hope it doesn't sound like I just want Velvet to get the shit beaten out of her lmao, it just doesn't really feel like it makes sense that all of these things could happen SO close together without any advance knowledge. The way I read it, Iris doesn't even really make much noise for Max to hear until she's already attacking Velvet, right? So it only makes sense that she'd strike prior.
I'm really really sorry for bothering you guys with this and forcing rewriting, I just don't really know how I'd write it actually happening while making sense, since it feels like events seem to overlap.

For what it's worth: "You,β she roared as she clenched her muscles, the pupils in her eyes finally expanding as the shift began to course through her body. - this is what I was responding too most with Max's actions. Seeing as there are only 6 rooms per floor and it was specified as 'hallway' (of which I assume there is 1), doesn't seem like much of a stretch that Max and Achieng are like... RIGHT THERE.
EDIT: but also, I'm pretty used to this kind of wibbledy-whobedy timey whimey fluid action sequences from many previous RPs ive participated in with large casts. I just go with the flow, yo, so I'm fine running with however the poster before me interprests things. :)

It just sounds to me like you need consistency. To me, it seems like Iris choose the timeline where she roars, possibly while transforming, cuing Max and Miyuki. Suzy moves, Iris lunges, missed due to Suzy pull, Iris gets steaked.
@LupusIntus Ooh, nice catch, missed that. @CitrusArms This, yes, consistency is what I desperately need, I have some issues lmao. The problem with this chain of events is Miyuki rather explicitly waits for Iris to jump before she heads to reception, so she'd still be there when Max ran in. Might be a wise idea to ask @Xaltwind about this now as well.

Can absolutely respect that. And (in the kindest possible way that I hope translates over a text-based medium <3) I wouldn't stress yourself out too much and I hope you dont feel rushed to reply because I, for one, am cool waiting until we know everyone is on the same page.
@LupusIntus Yeah, there's no time pressure on this or anything, I'm perfectly happy to take some more time so people can actually get room to post. Just noticed it when making a skeleton outline and figured it'd be better to bring up sooner than later. <3
@Lemons I really don't mind doing a little editing to my post to help with that flow. It'll only be a few sentences more, maybe a paragraph. That's nothing, really.
Back from work, and done catching up on OOC-schtuffs.
Time to write a long-winded and obnoxious reply.
Which I will prefix by saying: I am not pointing any fingers or trying to feel like anyone is or should shoulder the burden or responsability for this situation. The things I say in this response are purely my own, 100% selfish opinion and I fully accept that nobody else may share it. I'm writing this disclaimer because in the past I've had people I roleplayed with who were, shall we say, less than cordial when I expressed my opinion. This is just a safety-measure for myself.
With that out of the way.
Xalt's Thoughts on Timelines:
I have always been a supporter of the chronologic post-order. If player A posts before Player B, then Player A's actions and events occur before anything else. I've always found that when people try to interject or interfere with posted events, such as in this example:
Julius stood at the edge of the skyscarper's roof. He looked around. Nobody there but him and the pigeons, as usual. He sighed and looked out over the city skyline. He took a deep breath, crouched, closed his eyes and then... Jumped.
And then let's have our next person do this:
But before Julius could jump, Sammy burst through the elevator doors that just slid open. He made a mad dash for the man, seeing his intent and ran with all he had, catching the man by throwing himself and latching onto his waist before the fool could do something stupid!
This, in my opinion, is bad form. The first player had already described and set up a scene and taken an action. However, the second player didn't want that to happen, or wanted to be a part of the event/scene, or just thought they'd be a protagonist, and forcefully altered things that had already happened by changing events to suit their post.
Therefore, as I see it, this is the chain of events that occured in this particular instance:
1. Yumeiko and Miyuki found a collapsed Velvet. 2. Yumeiko fled to the front desk. 3. Miyuki helped Velvet up. 4. Velvet nom'd Miyuki. 5. Iris came upon the scene of noms. 6. Iris went full Alpha, let out a big roar and lunged. 7a. Miyuki extracted herself from the scene. 7b. Max heard the beastial roar and hurried to investigate. 8. Miyuki arrives at front desk and delivers her whole spiel - all the lines. 9. Ghost-chan hurries to the scene. 9a. Gorgon hurries to the scene. 9b. Max arrives AT the scene, becuase he wasn't as close as the front desk and had to run there. 10. Velvet is being pummeled by laughing, snarling psycho-woof. Max throws steak. 11. Ghost arrives and tries to pull Velvet out of the grasp of Iris, who gets baned in the head with a slab of meat. 12. Iris goes to Max and eats her food. Gorgon arrives.
This is the flow of events in my mind. In my opinion, there's no way Max could've gotten from Achi's room to the stairwell after hearing Iris' roar but before she lunged and jumped on Velvet. The same goes for Suzy. By the time Miyuki left, iris was already half-way through her lunge, and taking into account Miyuki didn't run, but rather just walked, there's likewise no real way that Suzy and Glasses-Gorgon could get to Velvet and iris before the latter had already leapt onto and started beaing velvet up.
Mind you, this is not somehting I say just because I want Velvet to ger her come-uppins. This is just how I choose to view the event in a way that's logical and rational to me.
However, I'm fine with doing whatever ya'll wanna go with. If you need me to edit or change something in my post, that's totally cool with me. Just let me know. :)
EDIT:
@Lemons Aww, I'm sorry to hear stuff ain't great for ya. :( BUt thanks, I enjoy your company as well. ^-^

Not defensive, just pointing out that Max went from βdoorway of 107 and 1st floor hallwayβ to β1st floor hallwayβ (which, at the time of posting had been assumed to be on the same floor).
(For my own brain) URC Locations Building 1 Ground Floor Reception - G Ground Floor Hallway? - G Restaurant - G Bar - G Rooms X01-X06 - Floors 1-5 Floor X Hallway - Floors 1-5 Stairwell
Building 2 Clinic - G Tranquility Rooms G Ground Floor Hallway - G Restaurant - G Bar - G Rooms X01-X06 - Floors 1-5 Floor X Hallway - Floors 1-5 Stairwell
Building 3 Gym - G Classrooms - G Restaurant - G Bar - G Underground Pool - B1? Theater - B1? Cinema - B1? Sports Arena - B1? Rooms X01-X06 - Floors 1-5 Floor X Hallway - Floors 1-5 Stairwell
EDIT While i love everyoneβs creativity in headers, @dragonydas providing a unified one for all players might help slightly to avoid future confusions.

Taking into account the small edit since @LupusIntus assumed we were on the same floor (same), this works for me 100%. Does this seem like a reasonable interpretation for all accounted?

Max is also a secret psychic and can see the future.
I will say this as a support for Max getting there on time and since everyone seems to be glossing over it. Iris roars out "You" then begins to change into a wolf. Not only that, she stalks Velvet for a moment or two as she talks down to her. Iris does not go, roar attack. There is time between the two happenings. Mind you, not a huge lot. But Iris has to go wolf girl. So I imagine more than enough for a sprinting Max to get there in time. We had bones elongating at one point lol.
But I'm really glad we were all able to settle this like adults and no one's feelings got hurt.
