Despite that, she's fairly personable, and maintains a decent social life. Her greatest sacrifice is sleep, which she doesn't get quite enough of, and mitigates the lack of through unreasonable amounts of tea.

Enough to grow crops in a day and a tree in a week; to divert streams, create ponds, and pile up hills. And, they say, that's how the Santorini family home came to be. Smallish, humble, made of dark gray stone, it sits atop a lakeside hill just outside of town, where Miriam lives along with her grandmother, parents, and two siblings. Miriam doesn't quite believe in the stories of Gran-Lupe Santorini. Not really. But she still thinks that there's something like magic here. So though the Santorini family has clearly seen better days, despite their money drying up and what prestige they had falling largely by the wayside, Miriam quite likes it here. She was always a quiet sort growing up; and even now, though she's perfectly happy socializing, she's still rather introverted, and the thought of moving to the big city that excites others her age makes her break out in hives. She's more than happy to stay here with her books and papers, devouring whole libraries and using the money that she makes by selling stories to ship yet more out to Starlight Cove. When not otherwise occupied with her books, peers, or household, she's often out in nature, rambling across the island and enjoying the island's 'magic.' As long as she doesn't break her glasses. She's helpless without them.

@Theyra Despite the overlap with my character, you can consider yourself approved.

@Cyrania An accountant is an interesting choice for this style of RP. Not many people would pick that for a character. The sehnsucht route works with being an outsider as well. That being said, I was more intending for this roleplay to focus on those native to the island, so (and for anyone else reading this, especially newcomers), I'm drawing the line at newcomers/outsiders from this point onward.

Not sure if you tried to emulate the coding everyone else was using, though. Seems a bit rough, IMO.

@Mistress Dizzy I would prefer that things are "dressed up" to keep in line with the other posts, but I know some people are turned away by graphics and aesthetic so it isn't exactly mandatory. Thankfully, we have some resident "graphic artists" (*cough* Lemons and Yankee *cough*) that can help out with things.

At most a week, if possible. This roleplay is centered around a small, tight-knit community so I don't want things to come to a standstill if someone takes too long to post. Granted, this depends on the storyline/plot points in the current scene. Some might move faster than others and vice versa. But the general line of "hey, I need a post" is about once a week or so. Doesn't have to be long, but I'd need some kind of substance.
