I just based that thought because the Character Sheet only mentioned 3 Poor/2 Comfortable/1 Rich.

If you read the districts part of the OP. It brings up industrial so I'd assume it just accidentally got left out of the character sheet. All it's information is accessible with the other district types even how wealth is obtained.

@Herald Whoops, my apologies that you had to re-write a bit. ^^; Everything looks good here, except for the district. Would you be willing to change it to any other district besides Industrial? I didn't point it out specifically in the OOC, so it would have been easy to miss. ^^; Industrial districts can be attacked or expanded into later.

Besides that, Leon looks awesome and you'll be more than welcome to add them to the character tab after that small change.

@Little Bird This is excellent. I very much like the idea of being the military inside Nocturnia. There's only the small slight issue of the district. Are you okay to changing it to any other unclaimed district? Industrial districts can be claimed/attacked after the first IC post.

Besides that, they're good to go and you're welcome to post them in the character tab after that small edit. :)

@The Savant Yess, sorry, I should have been more specific. Industrial districts are like little treasure chests. And it's more fun to venture out and get a treasure chest instead of landing on one from the start. ;>

Right. I can maje that change. I'll call dibs, if available, on Newpoint and Oliver Field. Keep Glyde in the same corner of the map.

Are you cool with keeping my idea for Heavy Crossguard as far as it having weapon stores. If Industrial districts are meant to be fought over IC maybe things like supplies and arms and such can come in tow?

@Little Bird Yes, go right ahead with those districts. I'll probably claim one of the other gold districts instead. And yep! Heavy Crossguard can definitely have weapon stores as a part of its treasure. You'll want to try and claim it quick, lol.

Oh yeah, Est, was wondering as well. Do we start off with a certain amount of Wealth and Personnel, or do we start off at 0/0, so the first round isn't an immediate bloodbath?

@ERode Good question. You'll start off with one round of whatever you have as your districts. So if you have two Comfortable districts, you'll start with 2 Wealth and 6 Personnel.

@Herald Excellent choice. Feel free to add them to the character tab when you have a moment!

I take it Grey Square is just a memorial, and not an office?

I guess in a similar-ish vein then...if there's an unoccupied territory and two (or more) factions both go for it, is it basically just like starting a war? In such situations, how is Wealth contribution valued compared to Personnel contribution?

Depends on how it affects gameplay, originally I was going to snag Oliver fields and one other, so I wrote up a little memorial place for it, then I saw Savant snagged Oliver, so I repicked, but I kinda liked the memorial so I folded it in. Burberry is a rich district right? So everything should be in there. Editing now.

@ERode Another great question. If two players were to go for the same district, they would both have to pay the Wealth and Personnel cost. Then on top of dealing with the opposition in the district, they would also have to fight against each other. The winner would keep the district, while the other would have to retreat, still in lose for their Wealth and Personnel.

You would still pay Wealth and Personnel. Any Personnel left over would be able to fight in that fight for you. However, I haven't put any restrictions yet on Gyft NPCs, which aren't affected by Personnel Costs. Even if you lost all your Personnel, you would still have your Gyft NPCs... Unless they were killed... or kidnapped...

Does that answer it alright?

@Herald Ideally, everything should be in your owned districts. I think a memorial in Burberry would be just as good if not better. You can make it a very fancy memorial. If you want Grey Square, you can attack/claim it when you have the resources for it, that's no problem. :)

Thank you for the edit!

So it'd be something like...

Two gangs want a Poor District. They both pay 2 Wealth and 4 Personnel.

Then they RP out the gang conflict over the district, and you decide which of them had the more effective strategy?

Or is it more like, they RP out the gang conflict, and then basically say how much more Wealth and Personnel they're willing to spend extra on this venture? So the winner would be the one who is willing to pay more? While the loser is the one who chickens out and cuts their losses?

@ERode It's a little more simple and easy with the first way, simply paying the 2 Wealth and 4 Personnel once. Then RPing out the rest. That cost paid is good for the whole fight in the district, and paying more won't have an effect. Instead, you can have an advantage in how you fight that battle, and what NPCs you bring to the table. I also haven't restricted guns. We can pretend that 1 Wealth is equal to $50,000, or $1 million, depending on which district your in. But everyone can afford to have good guns and Kevlar and whatever other rp materials they need to fight it out.

But it'll be a proper fight, where skill may be more effective than money.

The winner is decided like an Arena Battle. They duke it out. If theres any disagreements on what hits connect, I'd intervene with a dice roll to make it fair. Then the fight continues until one surrenders, is kidnaped, destroyed, or retreats. The contenders can decide who they want to win in PMs if they want, but I want to see fights happen like ye old Arena RPs. That was my vision for this. :)

Does that answer your question alright?

I think that is on a basis of everyone talking about relationships/knowledge of each others characters.

@Herald Another excellent questions, and this is exactly why I have the relationship sheets available. Everyone has been in this city for at least a few years, if not generations. It's possible that detectives have gotten into scraps with the mafias, or a mafia has had cultists at their door. The news is pretty dedicated to reporting Gyft use, so any fights that break out would definitely be reported. People would have a reputation of being 'the lion', or 'the skeleton key'.

However, the best way to discover what people know about each other, and if they have any history, would be to PM each other and discuss.

But yes, I think everyone would have a general reputation that would be somewhat known. :)
