I know you haven't been around for long enough, but could you perhaps edit this bit out? To say Lute knocked out the wolf rather than outright killed it instead (since a neck-slash is bound to leave it dead). Chapter 5 focused a lot on the morality of not killing animals, so personally it felt a bit uncomfortable/out of place to have this happen - basically the guilders going after animals and killing them, not to protect each other but for sport. It feels really anti-guildy to see Lute kill a wolf straight up like that, if that makes any sense. ^^;;

Sorry if this is nitpicking; just thought we should probably get that clarified in advance. Idk someone else can pitch in a word or two about it if they disagree I suppose haha.

EDIT: Just finished reading and starting to write now, sorry it's taking so long. Stella and Jack were trying to bite each other so I had to step in and hfjdgd

Also I was wondering about the whole killing vs. knocking out the animals, but the rules were to kill, I think?

There's that but, I agree with Rex, I think. I don't know, there seems something very, very offputting to me about any of the Guilders entering a competition to kill monsters for sport. I think I'd have less of a problem with it if it was a different type of monster, but wolves, the same creature as Dire Wolves basically which resulted in really tense moral and ethical questioning just being killed without a thought feels... really off to me. For entertainment and sport, idk, I could see warriors doing it but Guilders less so. It's hard to properly put my finger on it but it feels really weird and off for Tales. Idk. I can imagine Lisette and Dylan being there and just flipping out in complete confusion and horror at what's going on.

@Kathi: Ahh. Okay, I must've missed that rule hahaha, thanks for bringing that up. Still feels kind of off, but if those were the rules already clarified, then I'm not gonna press for changes now when that's already been settled. XD; Yeah pretty much what Pacman said, to be honest. .-.

Mhm, that's what I thought too :') I've always found it difficult to balance the whole 'whacking at monsters with swords and other pointy objects without killing them' thing, especially since in games the monsters just poof and drop items, laughs OTL

Yeah I'm the same way Kathi lmao! I buggered up the first round of Tales (pre-RPG days) because I thought Trixie's guns could be lethal if I had her shoot someone's head, but it turns out that was not the case! I'm sure Pacman and Buns both so fondly remember that moment. =____= lmfao. There's always this monstrosity for comparison, at any rate. |D

Edited! It's a really minor edit (just made him use the back of his sword instead of the blade, then took out the blood thing), but I took the killing off. I actually had a weird "should I really do this" moment on Skype yesterday, haha. I love animals, irl or in-game (except those hellhounds in Dragon's Dogma and their off-putting ability to spit fire at you from like, what, 5 meters away?). Speaking of, have any of you ever played Dragon's Dogma (Dark Arisen)???

These things just UGH they attack in groups and they spit fireballs and go up in flames and drag you off like you're a chew toy. A burning chew toy.

Morning everyone! I hope you're all doing well ^-^ Pach has another delicious day off today yay! But then 5 day work week in a row boohoo ;-; Won't be fun.

Good luck everyone with essays and tests and all that supermagical crap we all love! ^o^

Those Hellhounds remind me of our Chapter 1 Firons 8D They were a delightful pain in the ass. And that Mother Firon helped kill Largo ~w~ And Redd took one of the puppies, so when she and Grant return in the future... huehuehue.

I forgot to mention what my latest game I played was. FFX. How screwed would I be...? Idk. Probably screwed, I don't have enough hair gel or belts and I'm a pretty crappy swimmer so *dies*

Hello hello everyone~ I just finished my essay, gonna work on a post now before bed ^-^

I forgot to answer the video game question... Hm.. I think the last game I played was FF14? That would be awesome *w* I can't be much shorter than my [Lalafell] character, hahah.

Edit: Oof, sorry for the Lisette portion being super short, tiredness kinda smacked me in the face all of a sudden and I have to stop. I'm literally just going to school tomorrow to drop off my essay, so I'll be home in the afternoon to write something more substantial ^^; Good night everyone!

Last game I played? Sims 3, I've been craving the old faithful again. So... yeah I'm screwed. Gonna get trapped in a pool or burned alive or some shit. Woo?

I think I'm gonna post in the morning, if that's ok! Similarly I won't be posting tomorrow night either, probably wednesday morning. I'll be back to normal after though. Shouldn't be missing any posts (depending on how much of a hell-shift Tuesday is, but I'm staying optimistic), so that should be cool.
