Felix Hausten

Location: The Block - outside Dr Keller's office

Idiot. He almost threw his phone off one of the steps before taking his spare hand and messaging his temples slowly. Okay this would be fine, was what he told himself quickly and strictly. He just had to make a decision, which doctor should he check up on? There were too many options, too many leads, the sexual abuse one could be linked to the pasts of the two girls that were murdered, perhaps split up by some kind of insane nut job father. That sounded plausible...but now there was a bigger case at hand. There were three murders and the police were seeing some shrink about at least one. Think, he had to clear his head and think.

Smack. He punched the ground beside him and shook his head. Logic had to take sway, he couldn't let luck determine where he went. The day wouldn't last forever and if he didn't make ground quick, he wouldn't be the grandioso to finish this! He'd be overshadowed and he'd probably be expected to write some deep biography about this guy who solved the case. No, that would not happen on his watch. He checked again. Dr Keller, he was closer, not even bothering to refresh the page he shoved his phone into his pocket and set off to take a jog down the street to the doctor's office, masking his dash by putting earphones in, to simulate the idea of him being an ill-prepared jogger.

He sloed his jog down as he halted at the street adjacent to the doctor's office. He tugged his earphones out and stared at all the police, quickly going back on his phone and finding an article. "Oh for gods sake!" He said out loud as he made his way to the perimeter of the crime scene. This wasn't a good ending, hardly! It was too obvious, too short, too many loose ends. But he had this thought in his head. If this was the right shrink, why were the police meeting up with him...right before his murder. Those would be some fun questions to raise!

Lucas Walsh

Location: Justice Memorial Recovery Ward

Lucas gave Amy a nod and another quiet thank you as he watched her move out, letting out a sigh as he looked back toward Risa, a smile on his face. Reaching out, he gently took her hand in his own for a few moments, squeezing it softly. Lucas was thrilled by not just the fact that she had survived and on her way to a recovery, but by her accepting his proposal. It was odd to think of the two of them planning a wedding, he figured he'd honestly just say 'mhm' a whole lot while she came up with most of the ideas.

He felt his phone buzz in his pocket, carefully and slowly pulling his hand away from her own as he reached down into it, pulling the phone out and looking over it. As he read through the message his heart sank for a moment. His eyes flicked up from the phone to Risa, thoughts flooding through his mind all at once. The call was wrong, it had to have been, a mistake of some kind regardless of what might have happened. He stared back down at it for a long while, thinking on what to say or do. The grim look on his face was plain to see as he heard her voice, glancing up to her and forcing it to shift into a half-smile.

"It's fine, just work." He promised, tucking away the phone into his pocket again, making a mental note to destroy the device later as he reached out and took her hand. He didn't bother to tell her about the message, not yet anyway, she was exhausted and if things went as he hoped they would none of it would be correct anyway, he didn't want to add unnecessary concerns to her already strained recovery.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Roller Derby Rink

Riley watched as Ronnie took out his phone and brought up YouTube on his phone and handed her his phone as a video came up with the Juno Roller Derby Team. Riley couldn't help but cringe seeing how violent and aggressive the team was with the other players, she wouldn't even go down onto the rink with any of them in fear of something like that happening to herself. "Well, I guess we can rule out cheating. And I don't care if you burp just don't burp on me though." Riley said as she took another bite from her pretzel and heard Ronnie letting out a burp and couldn't help but shake her head slightly and let Ronnie take back his phone. Riley leaned back as she took a drink from her cup and watched the derby girls down on the rink below them, and wondered how this was connected to Danica's murder.

Riley looked over her shoulder to see a man approaching her and gave a slight smile towards him, she wasn't sure if he was a fan or if he wanted to just hit on her. Then she felt Ronnie's arm over her shoulder as the man glared when Ronnie gave the man the bird, she couldn't help but smirk slightly. "Well, maybe I should hire you as a body guard from random men." Riley laughed slightly as she set her drink down and finished eating the rest of her soft pretzel and started picking up the salt from inside the wrapper and then licked it off.

@Dragoknighte - Outside the window, after one pair of cops drive off two more sets show up from different directions. One coming in from the south, the other coming in from the north. Several get out of the cars and look at each other as if to ask - what the fuck are you doing here? You can't really tell what they are saying but between the pointing and eventual moving it is clear to where they are headed. They are both headed into Mali's building but as you hear the stomping of feet up passed her front door you can easily tell that there aren't as many feet heading up to the next floor above you as entered the building. You hear a few knocks on the door to the apartment above you hear one of them yell. "Police! Open the door!" There is no response, then you hear the shattering of a door being kicked in and sets of feet pounding on the ceiling above you as they move into the apartment.

@Scallop - Felix gets there about the time that Detective Johnson is driving off of the scene. Amy Adams from Channel Six news has just cut feed and is giving out a large huff, she wanted to interview the detective to find out more. "We should get back to the station," the camera man tells her but she shoots the man an eat shit and die look. She still looks pretty roughed up from the handling she had gotten the night before. "Forget that, this is a story," she tells him. "This is a Romeo And Juliet Suicide gone wrong. Come on Amy, I'm fucking hungry! Let's at least grab a bite to eat before you start breaking and entering."

Detective Roy Gregory

Location: Justice Memorial; Front Entrance

Gregory took his phone back and chuckled a bit. He wasn't going to rag the girl about forgetting to tell someone that it was her sending the text and not him. With everything that was going on he was surprised that she remembered that his phone was even clear to use at this point. Finishing up a few more interviews he looked back over to her and nodded.

"Yeah, grab yourself a burner phone before you do," he said as he pulled out his card and handed it over to her. He didn't know if she had his number written down somewhere or not, it was better to be safe than sorry. "Just send me what you want me to pick up and I'll grab it. My address is scribbled on the back of the card. If you need a ride later on, just call me. I'll come get you. Probably better not to be alone tonight anyways with everything going on," he added as he grabbed his jacket and slipped it back on over his shoulders. Adjusting his gun holster he looked back over to her and patted her on the back lightly.

"Yeah, I can walk you down. I'll finish up here and then head over to Forensics." Keeping the clasp over his side arm undone he stepped out and walked down the hall with Cecily, keeping an eye out. He didn't think anyone would try anything in broad daylight in the middle of the hospital but with the way the day had gone he wasn't counting anything out.

Once they were downstairs he escorted her out the front door and over to a bench by the side walk where they could keep an eye out for her ride. Pulling out a pack of cigarettes he lit one up and took a long puff from it, rubbing his chin lightly before sitting down next to Cecily and sighing as the smoke billowed up around him. "Cecily, be careful. Trust no one."

Ronni

Location: Rollar Derby Rink

"Well I am at your service," Ronnie chuckled as he stood up and took a grand bow before flopping back down next to her.

The main event wasn't set to start for another hour so they had time but some members of each team were starting to arrive and taking their spots on their respective sides of the rink. The girls from Dragon that had shown up wouldn't really catch anyone's eye other than for the fact they all looked to be from Asia or at least of Asian decent. Some looked far to dainty to even be on a team for this type of sport, like they would break if you looked at them to hard. Others looked like they might had wanted to retire about fifty years ago. None of their uniforms matched other than for the fact that they were all painted black, red, and gold in some manner and had a dragon on them somewhere. Other than that it looked like they were left to make their uniforms look however the hell they wanted.

Now, as far as the Juno crew went, only three had shown up so far and their uniforms were just that, uniforms. Each one exactly the same. Black backgrounds on their shirts that in the front it simple said - Juno - over where the left breast pocket would have been if it was a button down shirt. On the back was an owl looking like bird drinking the blood of a victim with its golden beak. It's red wings cutting up as if it was about to take flight and its four black claws tearing into the flesh of the victim.

"It's a Strix," Ronnie said pointing to the back of one of the women's jersey. The rest of the uniform matched color wide to the tight fitted spandex pants. Each of their pads and their helmet was gold, the helmet more angular than the other teams. On the back of each Helmet was the name of the player. The three that were there were: Nova Cibum, who might look familiar to Cecily, she worked at Juno's Greek. Her name was Sarah wasn't it? Then there was Cantus, who would definitely look familiar. She was the DJ Ally Cranks from the party the night before.

The last woman who had a C on her jersey to denote she was the captain had Venus on her helmet. She looked very out of place and yet might look so familiar. A lot of stories were swirling around her as of late. It was Admiral Of The Navy Leanna McCormick; the recently appointed Secretary of the Defense for the country... Ronnie leaned up a little bit. "Well those two are new," he said pointing over to Nova Cibum and Cantus. "Haven't seen them before."

Risa Couri

Location:Justice Memorial Recovery Ward

Risa smiled towards Lucas as she squeezed his hand. "That's good, maybe you can take Monday off. You know, I mean you didn't get blown up but your fiance did. Think they might let the professor skip class," she said in a groggy voice. It was obvious that the drugs were keeping her fuzzy in the brain. Risa was usually very quick to pick up on anything that was off, especially with Lucas but the morphine was doing its job it seemed. It was easing her pain, which was good, but on the flip side a monkey could have walked into the room and she wouldn't have thought it was off.

Yawning slightly she relaxed a bit in her bed, pulling the covers up over her a bit more. The place was cold and even though Risa loved the cold this was bone chill for her considering the blood loss. "Lucas, could you see if the nurse can get me an extra blanket?" she asked him quietly as she started to doze off. She wouldn't really fall asleep but she would hover between being awake and being in dream land, that half way point that many came to when they were trying not to wake up.

Out in the hallway it was pretty empty. Visiting hours were drawing to a close in the hospital and many were heading out for the day, bidding their loved ones goodbye until the next day. At the nurses station it was shift change, the women there exchanging notes on what had happened that day and what was supposed to happen over night. One of them, who appeared to be the head nurse giving most of the directions and orders. Talking about making sure meds were given out at certain times, when those that could eat would be served dinner, which diets needed to be liquid and who would just have to deal with IV's for the time being.

"I love you Lucas," Risa whispered in a dreamy fashion, her hand slowly slipping from his as she lay there and she tucked her hand under her head to try to get more comfortable. Her engagement ring shinning in the low light of the room, a few splinters of light showing in from behind the curtain of the window, deep oranges were showing that it was getting later in the day.

"Mother of a goat," the country boy said as he spat out blood and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. Taking a deep breath he scooped up the files that he had been given by Lana before stumbling out of an old and run down building. He was decently torn up with a large trail of blood sticking to the side of his face. Shaking off the dizzy feeling he wandered over to his truck. The door squeaking a little as it opened and he climbed in.

Pulling out his sidearm he checked the clip, there were only three bullets left plus one in the chamber. He had started off the day with a full clip. On the dash board of his truck his phone buzzed. Picking it up with his bruised hands he flipped it over and looked down at it as he unlocked the screen.

Grunting he closed the door of his truck and started it up before replying.

Hitting send he turned and rolled down his window, spitting out another mouthful of blood before driving off. He needed to get cleaned up and quick. He was supposed to be meeting someone soon. He didn't need to show up like this.

Lorna Dunn

Location: Queensguard Industries RnD Industrial Complex - The Diamond District >> Boston Heights

Thanking Alicia, Lorna got to work as best she could while El Jefe rambled on. Giving a nod towards Caesar as he slipped in and out of English, Lorna let him just get it out of his system as she worked on the translation from the video. As he bid farewell, Lorna smiled and gave a tip of her cap as he departed. Lorna perked a brow as she listened to the recording. She turned to Alicia and made a slightly concerned face, her lips thinning before she spoke. "Well... This was pretty basic and generic listenin'. They were bein' told to hurry up by the bitch, them sayin' they were working super fast, boss lady then threatenin' them with bigger boss lady, them then speedin' the fuck up. Seems bigger boss lady isn't to be trifled with." Shrugging her shoulders, Lorna pocketed the pad and pen before standing up and stretching her back out.

"Yeah sure, could do with somethin' to fill the ol' gut before I head out tonight. Even if I am goin' to be eatin' later. I'm a growin' girl and I need me something for energy for tonight." She gave Alicia one of those looks, you know the looks, where the eyebrows wiggle into overdrive and a self-satisfied shit eating grin spreads across their face? Yeah, that was Lorna's face.

Grabbing her shit from the office, Lorna wrapped her arm around Alicia's shoulders and guided her out of the room. "C'mon Leash, let's go get some." Lorna chortled as they made their way out towards Alicia's car and climbed in. On the way out Lorna rolled the window down and stared at their new security guard. "We've got eyes everywhere, don't think you can slack off just 'cause we're headin' out. BACK TO WORK." As they were let through, Lorna rolled the window up and grinned at Alicia. "That make up for me bein' quiet earlier?"

Snorting with laughter, Lorna pulled her cell out and considered texting Lawson but then decided against it. He'd be at her place in a couple hours anyway, all she had to do was shower, change and try not to look like a man. Was all gonna be fine. They'd have a chat, drink some beers, watch the derby and then head home and rodeo until sunrise then get on with their lives. Simple as it always was for Lorna. Maybe once she got him out her system Alicia would stop teasin-- Who was she fucking kidding? Alicia was never going to stop teasing her.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Justice Memorial; Room 2319 ---> Front Entrance

Cecily accepted the card, pondering for a moment where in the world someone would purchase a burner phone. She was used to using the same phone for two years, until Verizon let her know that she could upgrade. And before that, her parents had handled her phone related bills for her, up until she entered college. As she became more and more exposed to the world of crime that was Justice, she couldn't help but feel more and more naive. While she may analyze crime on a daily basis, she truly knew almost nothing about it. What she knew in theory, she lacked in practical knowledge.

"Do you get those at...Wal-Mart?" Cecily asked slowly, attempting to not appear stupid, as best as she could. She shook her head slightly. "Don't answer that. I'll figure it out. Can't be harder than multivariable calculus."

Blushing slightly as he clapped her on the back, Cecily ensured she had all of her things, and she headed downstairs with Gregory. Her heart kept on pounding as she glanced around, falling back into the slight habit she had as a kid. She used to look up at the ceilings, searching for places where people could hide. It was a way to pass time, what with all of the traveling and courtroom meetings her parents had put her through. She smiled weakly as she didn't seem to see anyone, and sat down on the bench next to Gregory, her mind already imagining a drive-by shooting.

Somedays, it didn't pay to be the pessimist.

"I'll try my best," Cecily replied simply, forcing a smile. "Though if I was to follow that, then I shouldn't trust you, so I shouldn't trust what you said, and thus, I should trust people...But I get your point."

She glanced down at her phone, and held down on the power button, shutting it off. Knowing herself, she'd forget and send a text to Riley. It'd be better to keep the thing turned off, and had it not been expensive and have a Hufflepuff case on it, she would have chucked the thing. Putting it back in her pocket, Cecily looked out towards the road, expecting Caesar to show up on some motorcycle of doom, constructed out of bones and leaving behind a trail of fire.

"You're going to get cancer like that," Cecily teased, attempting to keep her mind off of everything. She'd never smoked before, and to be honest, she was slightly curious. As much as she knew about the damage it did, she also wanted to comprehend why people enjoyed it. To her, it only made them look more and more like Smaug. "Does it taste like smoke, that thing?" She bit her lip slightly, attempting to focus on anything, anything but the dead body a few floors above them, and the maniac blonde running around the city who tried to kill her.

So much for packing. Really, Mali was just done with Justice and its bullshit today. She the rational part of her brain said that police going into Lyle's apartment to investigate made sense. He'd just been murdered earlier today. But really at this point did it even matter why?

Mali walked over the the fridge and popped out a meal, sat herself down on her small couch that she bought from a friend of a friend's garage sale before moving to Justice, placing her right ankle on top of her left leg. The sofa was worn down, threadbare in a couple places and covered top-to-bottom with this weird bookcase pattern with toy horses on it too for some reason. It wasn't an amazing piece of furniture, but it did fold out into a bed, so she figured that if she ever had any guests over she would at least have a place for them to sleep that wasn't the floor or a cheap air mattress she bought from Target. She busted out her phone and dialed in Relic's number.

Really, she had no clue what he could even possibly do to help in this situation, or even if any help would only make the situation worse, given the number of police here and how on-edge they seemed to be. But at the very least she would probably have somebody to bitch to.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Roller Derby Rink

Riley watched as Ronnie stood up and took a bow and couldnt help but let out a soft giggle. She then turned to the teams of The Dragon came into the arena and got onto their respective side of the rink, she was actually surprised they all looked to girly and dainty looking to be even playing this sport at all. She didn't really believe that they were the only competition to go up against Juno after seeing the video Ronnie had showed her. "They look like they would end up losing the moment the game starts." Riley said as she took a sip from her soda and looked towards Ronnie as some of the members of team Juno came in and leaned forward in her seat looking up at the big screen that was above the rink.

"Well I recognize one of them. The one named Cantus, she played as the DJ for the block party last night." She said as she looked towards the team captain, she looked older then the other members of the team. Riley set her drink down on the bench next to her. "Do you know the other members of Juno?" Riley didn't recognize any of the other faces that were on the team at least from what she could remember except for Cantus or DJ Ally Cranks whatever her real name was that is.

@Dragoknighte - Upstairs it sounds like they are ransacking the place, you hear thuds and crashes; glass breaking and doors slamming open and closed. Then you hear one of the officers yell "Clear" but the sounds of boots and destruction do not stop above you. Below it is much quieter, at least for now. The phone rings are few times before you hear a short hiss that is reminiscent of a dial up modem before a voice finally chirps in, one you recognize. "Well Mali, it is good to hear from you. What can Relic do for you today?" he asks from the other side of the line. "Speak freely, I've secured your phone. It's safe now."

Detective Roy Gregory

Location: Justice Memorial; Front Entrance

Roy chuckled a bit and nodded. "Yeah, Walmart or really any corner store. A prepaid cell, they are harder to track and once you drop it, it is done. I suggest with everything going on you start rotating out anytime you feel you need to," he said pulling out another phone and holding it up. "It's good to keep a spare on hand, here take this one. Pick up another later when you get the chance," he said as he handed it over to her.

Looking around as they waited for her ride he smirked. "If you knew anything about me you wouldn't trust me," he said with a bit of a sigh as he rubbed his chin, the trail of smoke coming up from his cigarette spiraling up before mixing with the air around it. Turning his head he grinned and took a very deep puff, holding it a moment before he blew it out away from her.

"Habit I picked up when I was younger. When you aren't used to it, it is nasty as hell but like coffee you kind of acquire a tolerance for the taste. I could use the gum or a pill to get the same effects but I dunno, something about having it in my hand, it is a little bit of control of what death comes my way that you really don't get in Justice. A bullet, poison, pushed off a building. You never know here and most times people never know the why. At least if I get cancer, well that was my own doing and I know what monster is lurking in the shadows," he pondered before shrugging.

"That and I am just addicted, better than crack but I swear, more expensive these days," he laughed.

Ronni

Location: Rollar Derby Rink

Ronni nodded and then shook his head, pointing over to the women. "Well the new girl I don't know but the one with the C on her jersey, she is the long standing Captain of Juno. She was on this team years before she became famous. Surprised you don't recognize her, guess you don't keep up with the political stuff. That's Leann McCormick, the current Secretary of Defense for the United States. Hence the men in black," he said as he pointed around the rink and there were several men standing about with com wires in their ears doing nothing to try to blend in as they stood as if they were ready to shoot anyone who posed a threat to the Admiral of the Navy.

"The team has some other big names but most were nothing's or no bodies when they joined. It is like the hardest case of Sorority Sisters in history. They have this one woman who I would be surprised if she turned out to be the next big security guru for the country. Woman has a hell of a kick even with those skates on, I swear she must like to play soccer with people's heads. She just joined up about six months ago but she is a force," he said as he pulled out his phone and pulled up another video.

It was blurry at first, hard to tell who was who on the team but the gold helmet was clear as the skate came off the rink and planted right into the back of another woman, sending her spilling out into the center of the rink. Everything was moving so quickly it was hard to tell the faces, only thing on the back of her helmet it said Vesta. At the closing of the video the person finally stopped moving as she stepped off to the side during a change out and looked around. It was Alicia Gonzalez.

Alicia Gonzalez

Location: Outside Of Boston Heights

"That is does," Alicia laughed as they drove off. The ride back wasn't near as hectic as the ride in had been, Alicia taking a moment to go through a drive through and grab something to eat. She looked over towards Lorna with a taco half hanging out of her mouth.

"I figured Smokey Meat would be paying for your dinner," she laughed as she swallowed half of the thing before taking another bite. Pulling up to their parking space Alicia perked a brow to see the cop cars out in the street. Just what in the world was going on? Putting the car into park she turned it off and gathered her things before climbing out. This didn't look right. They had taken care of Danica's stuff last night, they should be gone. Maybe one or two to keep the scene secure for now but not several squad cars and people running in and out of the building.

"What the fuck happened now?" she pondered out loud. One of the cops who was scribbling down on a pad looked over to her.

"Do you know the Whites? Or a Mr. Marlestone?" he asked as he stepped over towards Alicia and Lorna.

"Yeah, well, fuck, not really. They live here but I don't really talk to them. Why?"

"Mr Marlestone was murdered this morning. Mr. White killed his therapist and his wife this afternoon before taking his own life. You didn't hear about it on the news?"

"I've been at work all day."

David Lawson

Location: Classic Building 3D: Stepping Outside

Lawson stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around his waist. Looking over at the mirror he wiped away the steam and sighed. The gash had stopped bleeding but there was no hiding the fact he had been in a fight. The cops had questioned him when he came home, least he had passed it off as just a bar brawl down at a local dive. They bought it.

Drying off he got dressed quickly and looked at the time. It would still be a bit before he was supposed to meet up with Lorna, then it was off for a night of beer and violence. Seemed like it could be a good time, especially with her. Granted maybe somewhere besides the Derby would be better for a first date but he hadn't exactly been in the most romantic mood after his wife left him so he had no clue what was right to do and what wasn't anymore. Least this way if she didn't want to have a private rodeo later she could duck out easily enough.

Turning after he slipped his boots on he grabbed his keys and stepped out the door of his sublevel apartment. He figured he would wait outside for her until it was time to meet up. Maybe the police would slip and tell him something. He wanted to know why in the hell had happened with his Marine buddy to make him up and off himself the way he had. That wasn't like Cam, sure he had PTSD, but not to this extent. At least he didn't pick up on it and of all people, Lawson knew what it was like to come home and the world be more upside down here than it was over seas.

Caesar Gonzalez

Location: On the Road, Justice Memorial Hospital - Exterior

While the grizzled Mexican would have preferred to feel the wind in his hair, the laws of the land stated that he had to keep a helmet strapped firmly around his head. In his estimation, these laws were in place to protect the Motorcycle Helmet Industry and appease various motherly organizations, possibly leading to the eventual evolution of a thinner skulled race of humanity, incapable of even the simplest of beer can crushery and/or decent, nose-breaking headbutt. It sickened and disgusted the elder man; a man who in earlier years had sworn to uphold the law - all laws of the land, regardless of his personal feelings on the matter. Even bullshit helmet laws. Of course, it wasn't exactly this land, persay, but the concept was the same.

Then again, it could just be that he didn't feel like wearing a helmet just then. And a tendency to overreact.

He cruised the streets of Justice, more or less making a direct path to the hospital. Caesar wasn't fully accustomed to the layout of the city yet, but routes from the Diamond District and a major city hospital were easy to find and clearly marked. Give Justice this, the roads were easier to navigate than his native Monterrey. The occasional look he got from passersby in this more moneyed district, being as he didn't look nor dress in the manner that his financial status might indicate, was something he had gotten used to over time. Didn't stop him from the occasional uncomfortable stare or quick hand gesture, though. He was comfortable in his own skin. It gave him some marginal pleasure to turn around the discomfort that others sought to inflict upon him.

By the time he had reached his third or fourth traffic light, his satellite phone vibrated in his pocket. Taking advantage of the pause allowed by the red illumination, Caesar checked his messages. Another from Detective Gregory. Apparently, Roy Gregory was actually Cecily, the young lady he was supposed to be meeting with that day anyway. This was fortuitous, possibly for more than one reason. He considered another quick message before the light changed, but at this point the phone was likely back in the Detective's hands.

A few minutes later, Caesar pulled his trike up to the entrance of the hospital. He removed his helmet and gave Detective Gregory a stoic nod, then tossed the spare helmet to Cecily. "Oye, niña. I was about to get some food. It's on me if you want to join. But you're still riding bitch seat."

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Justice Memorial; Front Entrance

Cecily glanced over the phone, and pouted slightly. With everything going on, she knew that it shouldn't bother her...but she couldn't help it. There was no possible way that she'd be able to get to her tumblr account with it, preventing her from one of her favorite relaxation hobbies of reblogging memes about Benedict Cumberbatch's name. Reminding herself that she couldn't go on tumblr if she was dead, Cecily put the phone away. "Thanks. I'll text you the list of all the kits and all once you've sent an evidence type listing."

She raised an eyebrow at his comment. "Are you going to tell me about how your parents died when you were a baby, and it put you on the path for a life of crime, only to be redeemed?" Cecily teased. "You're almost Batman, then. Or I suppose Iron Man. If you were rich, of course." It was easier for her to think of this entire mess like a volume of Jessica Jones. It seemed safer, allowed her to feel detached from it all. Had this been just a story, she wouldn't have been upset at Wallace's death, and instead would've been excited by the tension. The major difference, of course, was that in comic books, there were heroes. Reminding herself of that, the brief illusion fell away, and Cecily sighed slightly.

"What if I told you I still hadn't acquired the taste for coffee yet?" Cecily joked, thankful that he blew the smoke away from her. It always annoyed her, getting a cloud of smoke blown in her face. Her parents likely would've done that without noticing it, the pair of them too focused on the latest celebrity criminal they were defending in court. Her heart stopped beating for a moment, seeing the rugged Mexican federale pull up on the trike. She had to remind herself that she owed the man, as it was all she could do to not cower behind Gregory.

"See you later, then," Cecily said simply, giving Gregory a brief hug. She took a deep breath and caught the helmet, thankful that Caesar at least seemed to follow the law. She couldn't deny that she was just a bit starving, with the only food she'd really seen all day trampled. Nodding to accept Caesar's offer, Cecily put the helmet on, and climbed onto the back of the trike. "So you wanted to talk to me about something?"

"How do y-" Mali started to ask, but then stopped herself mid-sentence so she could get around to answering the kid's question,"There's a bunch of police fucking up the apartment above me. On top of that I've been jumped, my apartment's been broken into and browsed through and two people in my apartment complex have died in the past 24 hours. Although I'm sure you've heard about Danica and Lyle since those stories are all over the news. Look, I just need to be somewhere that's not here, at least for tonight."

The fact that he knew her name even though she never told him and that he knew it was her calling brought up a lot of questions she hadn't considered before, but did she really want to know the answers to those questions at the very moment? No, not really. And knowing Justice and her luck therein, they'd probably lead to a whole bunch of bullshit that she didn't feel like dealing with. She already had enough to deal with, and having more of that when she was calling the kid to not have to deal with it (if even for the duration of a phone call) would be both ironic and aggravating. For now she would just see what he could do.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Roller Derby Rink

"Politics honestly kind of bore me, but that's just me though." Riley said with a slight shrug as she leaned forward and watched along the rink seeing various men in suits with com links in their ears. She wasnt sure why someone high up in the military would be in a place like this. "I didn't think a stoner like yourself would actually be even interested in politics." Riley said teasingly as she leaned back again and watched as Ronnie pulled up another video and leaned closer to watch the video that he was playing. The video was going so quickly seeing the one in the gold helmet kicking another skater out of the track and onto the center of it. But then the video came to an end and Riley would recognize who the face was.

"That I believe is Alicia Gonzalez, she lives in one of the buildings in Boston Heights. Though I haven't gotten a chance to actually know her yet." Riley said running a hand through her hair slightly as she looked towards Ronnie once more. "So we just sit here and watch the game see if anything suspicious happens?" Riley asked him.

Felix Hausten

Location: outside Dr Keller's office

His heart dropped as he watched the cop drive away, presuming that was the man in charge of this whole big investigation, seemingly wrapped up so quickly. That wasn't a good story, there had to be something more, he always believed that, there can't just be a little thing on the surface, always gotta be something more hiding beneath this boring old surface. This reminded him of a book, Preacher, a Swedish classic. Where a psychiatrist, convinced two women to commit murders. Maybe this was the case here but he instructed mr White to kill him as well.

He turned his attention to Amy Adams and quirks a brow overhearing their little conversation. Time to investigate. He walked over with a confident step and put a little grin on his face before wiping it off and looking as sincere as he could muster when he had such a good opportunity for more information.

"Ah good evening miss!" he called out with a smile. "I uh, must ask if you know what happened here, I much like a lot of people want to know much more, however, it appears this whole ordeal is being a little hush hush"

Lucas Walsh

Location: Justice Memorial Recovery Ward

Smiling softly back toward Risa, Lucas gently squeezed her hand again as he sat by her bed, pleased that she seemed relatively comfortable, though he figured a great deal of it was likely the drugs in her system as he sat there. "Oh believe me, I don't plan on heading into work until you're home and safe." He assured her with a nod, an intense honesty in the words. After his message, he didn't plan on letting her out of his sight if he could avoid it, he didn't at any point want to be too far from her. Partially he appreciated the fact she was drugged up to the nines, worrying her was the last thing he wanted at that point.

As she spoke up, he was to be forced to let her out of his sight, at least for a few moments. Giving her a nod, he smiled and leaned down to kiss her hand before he stood and carefully moved out of the room. Moving down the quiet hallway, he sighed as he made his way to the nurses station, leaning on the counter and having a brief but polite chat with one of the nurses to get a spare blanket, folding it under his arm and wandering back toward Risa's room quickly.

Quietly moving back into the room, Lucas smiled as he looked over Risa, moving over and carefully laying the blanket over her, leaning down to plant his lips on her cheek softly. "I love you too, sweetheart..." He said quietly, running his hand over her head gently as he sat beside her again, pulling the chair closer as he settled there, content to sit beside her throughout the night, watching over her until she was going to get better, however long that would take.

@Dragoknighte - Relic listens, the sound of fingers running over a keyboard clacking away in the background. He is silent for a moment before he finally clears his throat and speaks up. "Yeah, get what shit you need. Take bus 2453 from the stop nearest to your apartment. Change buses at the stop next to the University. Get on bus 4535, ride it for four stops onto campus, exit at the library. Go inside, top floor in the Ancient History section, I will meet you there," he said before hanging up the phone.

@Scallop - Amy Adams looks over towards Felix and cocks a brow. Yeah, sure things were going on but a reporter didn't exactly spill her guts to some random person on the street. For all she knew he was someone new in town trying to scoop her story. Smirking a bit she shoulders her pack as her camera man is packing things up. "Right, why don't you spill your guts and tell me what you know and just who the hell are you and why you are at a crime scene? Returning to the scene of the crime?" she asks incredulously as she crosses her arms over her chest.

Detective Roy Gregory

Location: Justice Memorial; Front Entrance

Gregory smirked a bit as she took another puff from his cigarette and glanced over towards Cecily. "I haven't been redeemed in any form or fashion," he said before sighing slightly and rubbing his temples. As she told him she hadn't acquired the taste of coffee yet he out right laughed. "Then you are younger than I. I can't function without the stuff these days. I don't think it is the caffeine. I think coffee is just like latin for old person joint grease. We need it every day to function or we cease up like the Tin Man."

Seeing that Caesar was driving up he nodded to the man and returned the hug that Cecily gave him before standing up fully and walking over to the man. "She's been through a lot today, please keep my partner safe," he said as he held his hand out to the man to shake it before nodding once again and walking back into the hospital. He still had some things to take care of. Cecily wasn't his partner, in fact it was well known that he never wanted a partner and even hated the idea of having one. Yet there he was calling her his partner. Maybe he was just being nice.

Ronni

Location: Rollar Derby Rink

"Hey I gotta keep up with who is willing to pass laws to make my particular brand of smokes legal," Ronnie laughed as he leaned back against the wall and looked around. As she mentioned that she knew one of the girls he perked a brow. "Really? I hadn't seen her around Danica's place but then again I don't exactly try to keep tabs on people in your buildings. Maybe I need to," he said chuckling a little bit before looking around. More and more were starting to show up. Nearly all of the girls for the Dragons had arrived. Ronnie pointed each one out, giving Riley their names. He really didn't have much information on any of the girls for that team. Most of them he knew were involved in China Town somewhere, some were drug dealers, one was a madam, others he had seen on the news for crimes but there wasn't anything really note worthy. It just seemed like most of them had gotten into trouble here and there but nothing huge.

The next three of Juno to show up however he did know - Minerva, Ceres, Diana. "Okay, Minerva runs like all the news channels here in town and the newspapers. She is some old hollywood star that turned mogul. Ceres I really don't know much about other than she is a hell of a skater. Diana however I do know, she works at the hospital. I don't know what she does but she helped out a friend of mine that was shot, got the bullet out of his heart and repaired it apparently. Not exactly sure what her job is there, she seemed to be all over the place but she took good care of my boy, so I owe her I guess," he said before looking back over towards Riley.

"Figure if we see something we do, if not we at least have the game. Danica wanted me to show up here for a reason, why I have no damn clue."

Risa Couri

Location: Justice Memorial Recovery Ward

Risa looked over towards Lucas as he covered her up with the spare blanket, her eyes fluttering a little bit as she smiled lightly. The place was cold but she wasn't sure if that was from the blood loss she had gone through or just the fact she was in a hospital and they kept everything cold. "Thank you," she said weakly as he kissed her cheek, her hand coming up and cupping his cheek lightly in her fingers.

Closing her eyes she tried to get some rest, she had no idea she was in danger or the amount of danger she was really in. She hadn't even thought to why the U.N. had been bombed. There had been reports that many were not happy that it had been built, it could have been for any number of reasons that the place was attacked and any number of groups. A red flag had gone off but not one that directed the cause to being her specifically in her mind.

After a while one of the nurses came in and set a tray of food down on the table. Looking over at Risa for a moment before she checked her vitals as Risa slept, trying not to wake her up while she did. Once she was finished she glanced towards Lucas. "We have had a murder in the hospital and the police are now placing the building on lock down. Now she cannot eat this but I figured since it would be a while before they let anyone else in or out of the building, especially this ward, that you might want something to eat; even if the food sucks," she said before sighing slightly.

"If you need anything, just hit the nurse call button on the side of her bed and I will come and check on you both," she added before stepping out of the room and closing the door. She didn't have any other information besides what she had told Lucas. She wished she had because she wanted to know what was going on with the hospitals. She didn't even know what room or what floor the murder had taken place on, just that a murder had happened. Sure people died all the time in the hospital but not like this. They died when noting else could be done to save them. Not when they were on the mend, not when they were just laying in bed trying to recover. Was anyone safe at this point?

Lorna Dunn

Location: Boston Heights

Rolling her eyes so hard at Alicia's antics, Lorna had to blink a few times to be sure she hadn't strained anything. Certain that her eyes were in good working condition to be able to enjoy watching the Derby tonight, she stretched out in the car and enjoyed the ride back home. That was until they got there and the street was littered with squad cars.

"The fuck is goin' on?"

Lorna mirrored Alicia's sentiments and climbed out of the car once they were parked up. She perked a brow as she listened to the cop with the notepad questioning them.

"Kind of? I met the Whites yesterday, didn't talk too much with 'em but they seemed nice enough. Marlestone was quiet but respectful from what I can recall. Lived with the Russian girl but not sure which flat exactly. Did somethin' happen to the Whites?"

The response from the police officer was not one she had been expecting. Sure she knew about Marlestone from the news that morning before work but the Whites? Lorna thought about Lawson then and realised that they'd been friends. She cringed as she realised that this would mean tonight would either be cancelled or strained.

"I can confirm that, I was with her. We work together. Should be camera footage to that affect too that we can provide to support it if required." Lorna folded her arms across her chest and stared the police officer down as if daring him to question them further on the matter.

After the police officer decided it wasn't worth pushing them right now, he gave them a curt nod and went back about his business leaving them to head inside as they pleased. "Wonder how long until they come knockin'?" She shrugged and started to make her way with Alicia to the flat then noticed Lawson coming up and out of his place. "I'll catch up, if I don't see you before you head out for your match - break a fuckin' leg bitch." She grinned and clapped Alicia on the back before walking over to Lawson.

"Hey. I'm sorry about Cameron and his wife. Look, if ya need t'cancel or postpone tonight I understand. It's... It's been a hell of a couple of days. Won't hold it against ya." She crossed her arms across her chest again and cocked her hip out as she stood before Lawson. She felt bad for the guy and wouldn't mind being able to help to take his mind off shit but she didn't want to force it either.

Caesar Gonzalez

Location: Justice Memorial Hospital - Exterior, On the Road, Taqueria

"Do what I can, Detective." monotoned Caesar, in response to the imperative to keep Cecily safe. He gave another nod to the tenured law enforcement official before turning his attention back to Cecily, stating, "Yeah, I needed you to look at something for me. Professional opinion." As an immediate topic change, "Tacos okay?"

The stoic behavior that Caesar tended to give the police was birthed of mistrust, stemming back to his own days with the Mexican Federal Police. He had seen more or less decent men corrupted by powerful entities, and the truly awful ascending to positions of authority. Even with the the severe gutting the Federales took toward the end of his time under their employ, the damage, in his opinion, had been done. Caesar Gonzalez retired as a Commandant and never looked back. For this reason, Caesar both respected and detested the Police. A good cop is hard to find sometimes, and from what he was led to believe, a good cop is even harder to find in Justice. Trust a man until you have reason not to. A cop? Caesar needed a reason to trust one in the first place. Whether this was because of or despite his own experience with law enforcement was unclear, perhaps even to the Man himself. The rare occasions he found an honest one, well... It would be nice to have an ally with legal standing.

Caesar revved his trike, intoning a further, "Grab my belt. Try not to squeeze." before throwing his coat back to accommodate and, three seconds later, pulling away from the hospital entrance. A series of turns and lane changes later, The pair found themselves at a Mom & Pop Taqueria. Standard fare, Mexican beer, coffee, horchata, and privacy - with public just a few steps away.

There was also a television set, simulcast en español, blaring something about a Mr. and Mrs. White of Boston Heights, dead along with a psychiatrist in an apparent murder/suicide. Hmm.

Caesar assimilated what information he could from the television, grabbed his order, and settled into a booth. Typically, he chose to face the door and loosen his pistol in his belt. "I've isolated key portions of the videos I took last night and earlier today. One is from Danica's fall. Other is from a private investigation. I need to know if anything looks familiar to you, anyone out of place."

It was a lot to throw at someone all at once. The older man softened his face (as possible as that was, considering it was HIM) and continued, "It can wait a few minutes, niña. Eat. Have a beer, three, whatever. On me. What happened today?"

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Justice Memorial; Front Entrance ---> Taqueria

Cecily raised an eyebrow, hearing Gregory call her his partner. The man had made a reputation for himself of never taking a partner, of working cases solo. She nearly chuckled, the way he reminded her of every fictional character ever, with his need to work alone. However, a more disturbing thought came to her mind. Her eyes widened, recalling a crucial issue of Harley Quinn: the New 52. Poison Ivy had sprayed Harley with a special serum, causing everyone nearby to fall madly in love with the former psychiatrist. Her mind flickered back to the stolen kiss from the night before, and now, to Gregory calling her his partner.

No, that type of serum can't exist, Cecily reassured herself. If it had been a thing, someone in Justice would've been killed from it, and she would've learned all about it in a toxicology report. Calming herself from that scare, Cecily clung to Caesar's belt, as instructed. "If it's a corpse, I'm not technically qualified to perform autopsies..." Cecily said awkwardly, nodding at the tacos. Her stomach would've practically nodded for her if she hadn't.

She clung to dear life, her eyes squeezed tightly the entire trip. The contraption, as she thought of it, seemed like a death trap waiting to happen. And given that her car was a death trap, it was saying something. Everything about Caesar seemed to contain an aura of death and Mexican cheese, of souls screaming for escape and Creepy Rob Lowe. It sent a shiver down her spine, as she wouldn't have wanted anything more than to curl up in the corner of a comic book store, and read until she forgot about reality.

Thankful for the nearness of other people at the tiny restaurant, she recalled the place Riley and her had gone to the previous night. It had been odd, with random paperweights, unlabeled alcohol, and fireworks. Truthfully, only the name of the place had any connection, as far as Cecily figured, to this place. Both sounded hispanic to her. The television set provided a further distraction, and Cecily grimaced at the news.

"Wonder who they'll get to fill in for Wallace..." Cecily pondered. She ordered herself some food and a drink, intending not to consume it until she helped Caesar with whatever it was. A stickler for the rules, she hardly believed that being tipsy would help her analyze anything properly. She nodded at his explanation, a bit surprised he hadn't asked Roy about that.

"Yeah, I'll take a look before I drink," Cecily explained, glancing around the room. She lifted up her drink, peering at it, as if it would have some sort of bug as well. Truthfully, she couldn't have looked any sillier, a paranoid nerd staring at pieces of gum underneath a table as if they might kill her as well. "Wallace, the coroner, was murdered," Cecily responded quietly. "This morning, we had a robbery as well. Armed assault. Got shot at." Her voice varied in tone, fluctuating from serious to mildly amused constantly. To anyone looking at her, it was obvious she was shaken up from all of it, struggling to process emotionally what had occurred that day.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Roller Derby Rink

Riley laughed softly and looked at Ronnie as she ran a hand through her hair tucking some of it behind her ear and nodded. "That is true, it is kind of a harmless drug, unless you are like a stoner and like getting high all the time." Riley joked playfully as she leaned forward as she watched the arena starting to fill up with more people, and more members of The Dragons started to go into the rink. She listened to Ronnie as he told her about Minerva, the name did sound a bit familiar to her since she was a celebrity. But she still wasn't so sure about her. "I don't know much about her as well." Riley said as she took a drink from her soda and then set it back down next to her.

Riley looked back at Ronnie as he told her about Diana and nodded slightly so the woman was also a doctor as well and helped Ronnie's friend after being shot. "Well I don't mind sitting and watching a game, so if we don't see anything we could always just come back at a later point then right?"
